Daffy Duck made after the likeness of a Garfield Goose painting from the set of WGN’s “Family Classics.” This painting by Jesse Silver of artwork I pencilled, found its way into episodes of “Duck Dodgers” and “The Looney Tunes Show.”

I wonder if the final battle on the rooftop next to the Hazbin Hotel sign may have been inspired by Connor's battle on the Silvercup Studios rooftop at the end of Highlander... An homage, perhaps?

As an artist, I LOVE creative collaboration. It's not a thing I get to do all that often, on the art side of things, as I tend to do all my own artwork from beginning to end on most of my projects, from pencils to final art. So, I'm always thrilled when I have the occasional opportunity to work on pieces with OTHER artists.  When I was doing the Wellkeeper, about half of the covers were inked by the fantastic Tony Kordos, and I adored that team-up. And recently, for the Finding Dee Kickstarter, I worked on a studio JAM cover for that book. An homage to the classic, Gil Kane "Giant Sized X-Men #1", I did reasonably tight digital "pencils" for the piece featuring Me, Heidi, and Poe bursting out of a shot with other characters from UNLIKELY HEROES STUDIOS! The awesome Laurie Foster did the inks over my pencils, which were then given awesome colors by Katy Rewston, who colored the book interiors as well. I am SUPER happy with how this came out, and now that the Kickstarter is in the can and folks are all receiving their books, I wanted to share the process a little! Hope you enjoy.

If I were a different type of person, I would learn to do streaming and buying parties and all those things that still leave me confused each time I read about it on twitter and channel all the efforts into getting I'm Just Ken that number 1 spot on Billboard Hot 100. That should the song. The summer hit. It should have exploded immediately after it was released. When is the last time a really good original song came out of a Hollywood movie? Like truly truly good? And that worked for radio as well?
But I'm not that person. I'll just dream about it.

mildly biased since it was the newest album when i fully got into psb but i genuinely love hotspot. usually i think the singles elevate most of their albums but in the case of hotspot, the album tracks are just genuinely top tier and are what make it so good for me. it's the type of album you have to listen to with the mindset and context of it being their berlin album and what specifically berlin means to them and their view of the city. there's so much warmth to it even aside from the muddy analog sound. could it have been better if some songs were swapped out and they stuck to keeping it a mid-tempo concept throughout? oh definitely. but for what it is I really really love it
anyway yeah i'll die on the hill of defending hotspot
