ROOM TOUR - A Japanese Illustrator's Desk and Atelier tour
A look into the room of a former graphic designer who now works as a freelance illustrator which gives her more freedom and independence. From her work station, to her collection of work items like drawing tools and other things like plants, books and records.
I like that she surround herself with things that make her happy to make herself motivated to work productively. I remember Marie Kondo said, “Put things that spark joy where you can see them and put things that doesn’t spark joy where you can’t see them.”
For example, things that make you happy like books you enjoy reading or poster you enjoy viewing. Things that don’t make you happy but you need them, like accounting book for your monthly expenses and taxes, in the cupboard where you don’t see them.
The idea is that when you keep seeing things around you that spark joy, you feel light and happy. But if you keep seeing things around you that reminds you of things that you dread, you feel overwhelmed and drained, so you won’t be motivated or driven to do anything.
Giada Wall Mirror was designed with soft curves and an elegant moulded frame to create its antiqued feel. With a deeply romantic design that nods to traditional styles, this mirror almost instantly elevates any space, from bedrooms to entryways.
Impressive room decor with soft greys and whites combinations ❤
