Before Babe Ruth there was Gavvy Cravath?

Clifford Carlton "Gavvy" Cravath was a star player for the Minneapolis Millers who won batting titles in the American Association in 1910/11 and also hit 29 homers in 1911, setting a Minor League record.

Cravath was already 31 years old when he joined the Philadelphia Phillies in 1912 but he still led the National League in home runs six different seasons.

Cravath's 20th-century record of 119 homers was broken by Babe Ruth in 1921.

CLC/Kep1er Choi Yujin

(first of all, happiest birthday to the utokki, fake maknae and the leader/mother of Kep1er, Yujin! this story will just another short story for tonight.)

"STRIKE!"

The umpire would only shout, as you are again missed the swing on the bottom 9th. Your team, the Kiwoom Heroes are only a swing away from stealing the game away, and the chance to clinch the conference on a walk-off run or a grand slam with a loaded base.

"OPPA, DON'T FAZE OUT! WE ALWAYS WATCH YOU HITTING THAT BALL TIME AND TIME AGAIN!" your friends, especially the girls shouts on you. But they ain't ordinary girls, they were the girl group Kep1er, who attended your game as well.

Looking up at the table section is your noona, Yujin. In the past months, you always hanged out with her because you had the opportunity to stay on their dorms when your team comes to Seoul.

Yujin is the type of noona who always looks out for you way back on your high school days. She always fetch you out when your parents are not around for you to pick you up back home. On breaks, she would give you additional motivation for games.

During off days, you would join her on her classes and your classes as well to catch up on your missing activities and submit it with consideration for being a student athlete.

Back to the last series, you were on a cold streak, hitting 50% out of the throws you've taken. In the last innings, you managed to hit all 2 throws you've received. As well as stealing 3 bases to score the 2 of them. Even tried to play the outfield to erase the game-sealing home run to keep the game on your team's favor.

Here we are, 2-2 pitch. The girls are watching. Yujin is watching as well. The fans are waiting for a miracle for their team.

The relief pitcher throws the ball. Your grip swings to the left, hitting the ball. You then look to the direction to the ball, it's gone. Gone to the left, second tier seats.

HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME-RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNN!

And it was all it wrote. A walk-off grand slam to the deep left, way out of the diamond. You calmly batflipped your way out of the bases, and your teammates are waiting for you. You then sprint your way to the home plate, throwing off your cap, and to the team celebrates.

During the celebration, the girls on the table section are also cheering for your first career walk-off and also grand slam as well. Yujin on the other hand, she was too ecstatic to watch how the guy who only looked at her as her noona, is celebrating his win with her. She knows that if she don't do it, it's all over for her.

Looking up, you see Yujin happy for you as well, so you decided to go to the direction where they are seated.

"Oh oppa, what a monster game you had! Can you teach me how to swing before you go?" that was the youngest, Yeseo asking. Looking back to the girls, Yujin come up and gives you a high-five.

"You know, you should give us some tricks for pitching", she said.

"Well, there's something I can do tomorrow", you replied.

After the win, you keep your promise and you take the girls to a baseball clinic where the girls can practice their throws and maybe some swings as well. Youngeun and Dayeon are good pitchers, and Bahiyyih, Xiaoting and Dayeon are good at swinging.

As you could only watch them how to play, Yujin came up to you.

"Hi", she said.

"Oh noona, you need something?" you asked.

"Well, I need to go back to the van to get their bottles. Will you join me as my carry boy?" she replied, mocking you in the process.

You could only laugh as the both of you went to the van, and pick up the girls' bottles to the break room. Yujin knew that it would be the chance to confess, so she answered the call.

"Y/N?" she asked, calling your attention.

"Yes noona?" you replied.

"Well, we know that we've been with each other's backs since we were kids. I don't even want to do this but I don't want to lose you as well. My feelings- I have feelings for you, okay? I love how you treat me, I love how you respect me as a person. For that, I want you to my partner-" you cut her off quickly with a hand grab to her forearm.

"I should've said it first noona. I love you too." that could you only replied to her as well, causing her to bawl and hug you at the same time.

"Yes Y/N-ah! I'll always love you, okay? I'll always look out for you." she said.

"Yes noona. In return, I'll support you everywhere you go." you replied.

After that, you then call the girls for a water break and you announced that you and Yujin are finally a couple. The girls celebrate for the biggest win of your life, and maybe your entire career as a baseball player.

"I might've just hit a home run to your heart."

Frankenweenie (2012, Tim Burton)

Frankenweenie is a 2012 animated film directed by Tim Burton.

The film is the stop motion adaptation of the short film of the same name made by Burton himself in 1984, clearly inspired by the novel Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.

The film was nominated for the 2013 Academy Awards as best animated film.

In 1971 Victor Frankenstein, a boy passionate about cinematography and science, lives in the monotonous town of New Holland with his parents Edward and Susan and his little dog Sparky. Victor's talents are observed at school by his classmates: the neighbor Elsa Van Helsinge (niece of the sour Mayor Bergermeister), the hunchbacked boy Edgar, the obese and naive Bob, the pretentious Japanese boy Toshiaki, the sinister Nassor and a very strange blonde girl called Weird Girl, who owns a cat called "Mr. Whiskers". Victor, however, has little contact with them, being too busy with Sparky: Victor's father then encourages his son to join the baseball team to make new friends and to practice a sport; at the game, Victor manages to hit a splendid home run but Sparky, chasing the ball down the street, is hit by a car and dies before Victor's eyes.

But then, inspired by the galvanic experiments of the science teacher Mr. Rzykruski, Victor digs up the little dog from the pet cemetery and takes him to his improvised laboratory in the attic; he manages to revive the dog using the electricity of lightning. The following day, however, Sparky leaves the attic to chase Mr. Whiskers, causing some damage in the neighborhood until he is noticed by Edgar, who asks Victor to teach him how to resurrect the dead and threatens him to reveal his secret to everyone if he doesn't. In order to keep Sparly's existence hidden, Victor agrees and the two revive a goldfish, which inexplicably becomes invisible.

Learning about Edgar's invisible fish, Toshiaki and Bob fear that they won't be able to win the science competition at the annual fair, and so Toshiaki tries to make Bob fly with a rudimentary jetpack improvised with bottles of fizzy drink, but fails and Bob falls from the roof, breaking his arm.

The group then decides to carry out resuscitations separately: Edgar prepares to resuscitate a dead rat found in the garbage, Nassor his mummified hamster "Colossus", Toshiaki his dead turtle Shelley, Bob an expired package of Sea Monkeys and Weird Girl a dead bat. After electrocuting the bodies, the kids involuntarily transform the dead animals into monsters due to their feelings of competition: Edgar's rat becomes a wererat, Shelley an enormous Gamera-like monster, Bob's Sea Monkeys become little monsters amphibians similar to Gremlins and Mr Whiskers, who held Weird Girl's bat in his mouth while it was electrified, a monstrous vampire cat.

After finding Sparky near his tombstone in the animal cemetery, Victor sees the monsters attacking the fair and runs to help his companions: the Sea Monkeys explode by eating very salty popcorn, Colossus is crushed by Shelley, while she and the Wererat turns back into a corpse after being electrocuted again. In the general chaos, Elsa's poodle, Persephone, is captured by Mr Whiskers and transported to the city windmill.

The citizens, feeling pity for the dog's death, decide to reward Sparky for his courage by connecting his electrodes to the batteries of their cars to revive him again.
