If you've been following my story, then you may have seen the photos I shared as I was painting the back of my shrug. If not, here are all the photos in one convenient collage! While Weiss doesn't actually have her emblem on her shrug in the manga, I find this to be inconsistent with her other combat outfits. She also isn't shown wearing her tiara, so I'm assuming the emblem was eliminated for artistic ease. As always, I began by printing a photo of the emblem from the RWBY wiki. Because the shrug is a bit short, I went with the 600x600 image and did not scale it. I used an X-acto knife to cut out the stencil, and then I taped it to the fabric and traced around it, keeping it centered on the center seam. I painted the emblem with two coats of DecoArt So Soft paint in Baby Blue and one in Pearl, being sure to paint an outline first. The Pearl is sheer, so the blue is still visible, but it lightened the blue a bit, too, which is what I was hoping for.
