We met when i was working as a freelance writer. He was one of my regular readers, and he hated my writing so much that he paid me to move in with him (dont ask, it's complicated) so that he can edit my stuff. To his credit my work has gotten a lot better since then, but that also might have had to do with regular food & the lack of rent. Anyway we started making out like 3 months in. things clearly escalated and now we're married and we have 2 cats.

For like a year after I moved in he kept on saying that he was straight. Since we were having sex I kind of thought he was joking? Or that he at least stopped thinking he was straight when he introduced me as his partner to his family. He stopped bringing it up at some point anyway, and i figured it didnt matter after we got married. Only recently i brought up how he used to think he's straight and he told me HE STILL IS. How the fuck does that make any sense? Who can be straight after nearly 10 years of monogamous dicking?? I've never even heard him call a woman attractive!!! He is CONSTANTLY telling me about some new hot dudes he's seen!!

How do I convince my husband that he's probably not straight?

Edit 2: Okay, i've tried some of the (ACTUAL) suggestions people left. I printed out pictures of "hot" people, men and women, and asked him to sort into a Hot and Not Hot pile. Most of the men were deemed Attractive and all the women (+some men) were deemed Not. i asked him what that means. i can't remember his exact logic but i think it boils down to the fact that he thinks all of his opinions are actually objective fact. i guess it's nice that he thinks I'm objectively hot. i spoke with his siblings, they all agree that he's absolutely gay, and they talked to him individually but he's still telling me he's straight.

Edit 3: i was going to ignore all those comments but you ASSHOLES won't leave it alone. YES, WE MET BECAUSE I WAS A NOVELIST AND HE HATED MY BOOK. He was NOT normal about it. i don't know what else to tell you. He's a closeted rich kid (as some of you had guessed already) and i guess he just yearned for the touch of a man so hard that i had to marry him. Whatever. it was our anniversary yesterday and he said "no homo" when he gave me flowers because i guess i was too insistent about him being gay. he was kind of joking but definitely not entirely.

Edit 4: some of you have guessed my pen name?? how??? A few others have even guessed my husband's username. Absolutely insane. I didnt even give that much info. He still says he's straight btw. Honestly i've kind of given up on changing his mind, but i did direct him to some queer websites a couple people suggested, so maybe reading more about internalized homophobia will cure him? It's actually stopped being funny and now I'm worried for his mental health, so I'm really hoping that personal stories he can actually relate to might do something.

Will start snow fights with you at random

The yetis and elvs love you

The elves will often climb on you or show you some of the toys

You help the yetis paint and make the toys every so often

He gives you one of the snow globes so if you cant make it back yourself you can just throw the globe

He acts very much like a father figure to you

Asking how your day was and what some of the people did etc

He was the one to reasure the others that you ment no Ill intention

You fit very well into the guardians

If north thinks you need a break he gives you a toy with a note with it

How HL boys take care of reader while they are sick?

Ominis Gaunt:

Despite his many health issues due to his familie's family circle, Ominis has a very healthy immune system.

So he's not worried about catching whatever you have.

But he's still kinda grossed out by the idea of germs.

Of course he is there for you! Don't even worry about being alone, he's bringing you soup and water from the kitchens and making you tea for your throat. He'll bring you blankets or take them away, anything you need.

But if you're throwing up? He's supporting you from a distance. He'll rub your back when you are FOR SURE finished.

I don't think he will take the day off classes but he brings you your homework and if you're sick enough pretty much does it for you.

If you want, he reads to you in an attempt to keep you alert and not delirious

He'll hold your hand while sitting next to you, but doesn't initiate any kisses or cuddles. Honestly, he doesn't WANT any kisses or cuddles while you are sick but he knows you need comfort so one or two don't kill him.

Sebastian Sallow:

He's absolutely unbothered.

Especially after Anne became cursed, he has lots of experience with sick people. Sebastian is such a caregiver. Honestly, he kinda loves an opportunity to take care of you.

Will wash your face with a cool cloth every couple of hours, keep you up to date on potions, run you a hot bath when you need it, etc.

Does not care how sick you are. Nothing is his limit. Holds your hair back and rubs your back if you're throwing up, holding you close if you're delirious or emotional.

If you're sick for long enough he's hoisting you up and taking you outside for little bits at a time. Keeping your room clean and your windows open.

Much like Ominis, doesn't take a break from classes but spends his free period with you, lunch with you, brings you tea between classes.

Garreth Weasley:

Listen, man has like twenty siblings. Not really, but he has ALOT!

He is used to this. He's never really taken the caretaker role because his mother did that. When his siblings would get sick, he would run and grab things for his mom, bring them things on request etc.

So with you, he isn't used to putting his whole effort into caring for you. Of course he doesn't mind!

He's doing things he saw his mom doing, and brings you a concoction of "soothing" liquids. Tea, honey, lemon water, anything he can think of.

However, he does take the day off classes with an excuse that he stayed up to late and slept the whole day.

For the most part, he leaves you alone. Brings you your tea and changes out your forehead cloth, fluffs your pillow maybe, and leaves with a kiss on the forehead. Doesn't come back until either its time for a cloth change or you ask for him.

He can't skip classes forever, so he can only do it one day. If you're sick for longer than that, he will do his best to spend free time with you. He brings his dinner to come eat it with you.

Leander Prewitt:

Wants absolutely NOTHING to do with sickness. But he loves you, so, he can suffer.

Don't expect too much from him. He's such a germaphobe it isnt funny. He brings you tea and offers you a few stories about his day. He stays if you want him too but he isn't cut out to be a caretaker.

Oh man, imagine you fell asleep on him though! He sits beside you, a considerable distance mind you, but you sidle up to him and pass out on his shoulder.

He wants to be disgusted but you look ADORABLE and you trust him that much to snuggle him while you're asleep? It melts him.

After a bit though, He gently wriggles out from under you and makes sure you're comfortable on your pillow. Then he uses a few quick cleaning spells and leaves with a reassuring squeeze to your hand.

Amit Thakkar

Like Ominis, is a germaphobe but chill about it.

When he hears from a dormmate that you're sick, he runs into your dorm with breakfast and eats it with you.

He's so sympathetic. Every sniffle hurts him :(.

Amit is an only child, and his parents had never been real sick. So he doesn't know exactly what to do, but he tries.

He brushes the knots out of your hair and does what he can. Amit would never miss a day of classes, but he's a little behind because he takes notes for you. They're EXTREMELY detailed, explaining everything so that you won't be confused between gaps.

He makes you eat something and if you throw it up, he is grossed the hell out but supportive. Like, rubs your back but is looking away and trying not to breathe through his nose.

He's just so sweet, and when you're better sits you down for a tutoring session so he can go over what you missed. Even though he didn't need too with the notes he took.

i was thinking, soap buying these little mood rings from spiritual shop that just opened by his home! and he brings them to the base, he’s so excited & he literally forces everyone to try them on—you do without hesitation and the only one who seems to have a hard time doing so would be ghost, of course.

eventually he caves in puts the ring. different colors associated with different moods, ie red would be anger, blue would he sadness, yellow would be happiness, green would be illnesses etc. until soap notices that ghost’s ring always seems to turn pink when he’s talking to you, or even just being near you, pink being the color of love.

and soap is so damn cheeky, he’ll purposely wait until it’s just him, ghost, and gaz around to start the teasing, saying stuff like: ‘y’know, i jus’ think it’s funny how your ring always turns pink when you’re a around y/n.’

and ghost is just glaring at him.

Soap was by far the happiest person around the base, and he also happened to be a really close friend of yours. He was a joy to be around, Gaz too, and inevitably you became the trio of chaos. Out of the battlefield, combining the three of you wouldn't build a single sargeant, it's like you shared the same brain cell or something like that — like Ghost once said.

One day, Soap brought some mood rings for everyone in the squad. He thought they could be useful on how you could deal with a person depending on their mood. How silly of him. But you didn't hesitate to put them on, thanking him for it.

He said they would change colors depending on the mood, but that's all the explanation, when Price asked him about what which color represented, he shrugged it off. 

To you, he said yellow was happy and red was anger, and it stopped right there. You would hit him playfully, demanding for him to explain the rest, but that's what you had to deal with.

Ghost was reluctant to put it on. "There's no way that works, Johnny." 

It took you probably a week for him to finally agree on putting the stupid ring — as he called it. The three of you stared, waiting desperately for it to change colors, seemed like eternity until he finally put it on. You waited, and waited, and waited.

No color. 

"See? I told you it doesn't work."

He was going to take it off, but Soap insisted on him keeping it. Reluctantly, he let Johnny win this fight — after all, he said it didn't even work.

And Ghost's ring remained blank until Soap found the two of you talking in the mess hall, approaching you quietly. Ghost was listening to you ranting about Price actively teasing you about your new white hairs due to stress. "I can't do anything about it, it's genetic and it's also stress. Honestly I don't know how you handle this life."

But there was something about him, his body language when you were around, like he could relax when he was with you. You bet Johnny noticed the light pink on the ring Ghost was clumsily trying to hide from you.

Yet he couldn't go out there making assumptions, he had to see it again. You'd taken your ring off for training purposes, but Ghost still had his, and it turned pink again as he saw you executing your moves with perfect precision. 

"Oi, Lt, anything to tell us?" Soap asked once he was alone with Ghost and Gaz, he glared at him, not understanding what he meant.

"Come on, the ring, we all saw it." Gaz said.

"Yes, yours turns pink around y/n." 

"I don't know what that means." 

"Pink is the color of love, ya?" Soap punches his chest playfully. "Ghost is in love with y/n!"

"Shut up, Johnny!"

"You really are, Lt, the ring doesn't lie." Gaz adds to the teasing, making Ghost brush his face. He takes a deep breath and leaves them two behind.

"Whatever."

And later that day, the group chat was filled with subliminal messages.

Not to mention that Soap wouldn't miss an opportunity to tease his Lieutenant.

Ghost: Sargeants, I need the reports by the end of the day

Soap: On it, pink-ie

Ghost: Shut up, Johnny 

Gaz: Stop being such a pink-a-phobe

Y/n: What? Lol

Ghost: It's nothing, they're children 

Soap: Did it turn pink again?

Ghost: Enough, Soap

"Can you please call Y/n to my office?"

"Why, you gon' kiss her?"

To which always led to Soap being slapped in the head, but it was priceless to see Ghost's reaction to being teased.

It would turn pink whenever you were around, he couldn't help it, he liked you way too much to be able to hide it from the ring, like he was able to do with every other emotion. Never blue, nor red. It would only change colors when you were there.

Not me seeing so much discourse about whether sukuna is a well written villain or not... he essentially has no backstory shown as of yet and we barely know anything about him but he is still one of the most naturally interesting and compelling characters in the whole damn series bro 💀 buckle up bc its about to get lengthy (im just glazing sukuna in this post ngl so 🧎‍♀️)

so many whiny ass mfs are weeping about how he "doesn't have any personal goals or a proper reason to be a villain" when that is the whole point???? He lives on his own desires and satisfactions and does whatever he wants to, because he is capable enough to do that. Mfs want "real villains" but cant even handle sukuna 💀 ive seen too many shit ass threads and poorly articulated "critiques" on his character that dont make any valid points. If you can't even separate your personal dislike of a character from your analysis of their writing, dont even bother posting that shit please 😭😭😭 the fact that we haven't even gotten any information about his background yet and people are jumping the gun about him being "poorly written" is already saying a lot 🤨

The fact that yall are so bitter and angry about him that you can write 500+ words about how oh-so-terrible of a villain he is kinda proves that he's doing his job well tbh 💁‍♀️

What also bothers me to no END is how people compare him with villains of other series, who had compelling sob stories that made people empathise with them. Thats nice and all but why should all villains have grand ideals and be subject to feelings of empathy/sympathy from their audience?

Part of what makes sukuna so interesting is how he's not tied down by morals, rules or long term goals in life. He doesn't limit himself, which is what makes him an unpredictable character. He's completely left behind what it means to be human in many ways, and he's clearly not a character written to be empathised with. He is very purposefully inhumane and distant from everyone else, and that feeling transcends from within the series to real life as well. There is a clear lack of understanding bc most of us can't comprehend what its like to just live without being goal-oriented.

Sukuna is a true anomaly in the sense that he doesnt really fit in any kind of box within the series. He's born from man, but its clear that he separates himself from humans (and nobody else considers him human, either). He's not a cursed spirit. He hovers between life and death. The narrator referred to him as the honoured one, whilst angel referred to him as the disgraced one.

These little contradictions in his character make him all the more complicated and interesting to think about. And even recently, he's been shown to waver a little bit momentarily in the manga, questioning his own irritation at yuuji. He's capable of self reflection, and though sukuna does whatever he wants for the most part, he doesn't blindly go into things without some thought first, he's a constant thinker and analyser, and an intelligent one at that.

And honestly, he is always such a joy to watch and read, his personality is so flavourful, and the way he carries himself is very attractive. He's not afraid to get messy or of getting hurt, theres so much chaos in the way he does things and yet he also has a huge element of gracefulness to him, which shines through the poetic way he speaks. Its undeniable that sukuna simply oozes charisma...

And this isnt talked about enough but this man is genuinely so effortlessly funny (in a kind of sinister way i guess?) Like yes he is an old ass man having real beef with one FIFTEEN YEAR OLD for very little reason, he accidentally healed yuujis arm and somehow expected him to be grateful for it despite how he literally ripped his heart out afterwards, then he proceeded to sit on him after kicking him down likeeee 😭 what kind of behaviour is this sir

His facial expressions at yorozus yapping 💀 THE WAY HE COMPARED YUUJIS FACE OF DESPAIR TO THE HARIMA STATUE 😭😭😭💀😭💀💀😭 omg that was so foul but i was fucking losing it ngl

How he randomly compared gojo to a fish and started talking abt his scales... thats a very unique and descriptive comparison, isnt it? I saw someone saying that sukuna has no passion, like are we talking about the same character....?
