Melilotus albus (honey clover)
Honey clover arrived in North America in the 1660s and was deliberately introduced as a fodder crop for horses and cattle. Not only is it nutritious but this plant also fixes nitrogen (it's in the pea family Fabaceae) and honey clover improves pastureland over time. Of course the other reason it was introduced is implied by its name. European settlers were also introducing honeybees at the same time.
Honey clover is a Eurasian plant but it now grows in temperate environments all over the world. In its natural habitat it likes full sun but beyond that, it's not too fussy. This healthy specimen seems to be doing very well, growing next to a signpost in the middle of a parking lot - and it hasn't rained in weeks.
I hate to admit it but secretly, I admire weeds. Unlike the pampered pussycats we plant in our flowerbeds, weeds are tough. They take full advantage of our urban environments without the luxuries of regular watering and chemical fertilizers.

Honey clover - Melilotus albus
I took only a tiny twig of these with me and forgot about it in my pocket and after a few hours the room was filled with a delicious smell that reminds of woodruff or Tonka beans-they all produce the same chemical - coumarin.

It’s easy sometimes to forget those white ones, but there are actually plenty of gorgeous white wildflowers blooming right now, too. [A little bit of clover honey. Love is random; fear is inevitable. What happened? That thing was full before we started the show.]

.... I finished Undertale Yellow...
What a GAME, I went into it expecting to cry, and boy did I complete it crying. One of those things that makes me remember why I love art of all kinds.

i’m so sad about the fact that shoujo and josei anime adaptations have gone so scarce (to almost non-existent) when they provide such an important space for the female gaze... i just absolutely miss having stories like the ones i grew up with
