Hop x Marnie headcanons

Oh, boy. Actually, I kind of like this ship, ngl. I think they’d make a good teen couple, but I can’t really see them lasting. I don’t think they’re like getting married or anything.

-So Hop talks to Leon about how he thinks Marnie is cute and he wants to date her. Leon eventually mentions it to Piers, who is kind of divided.

-On one hand, Piers thinks Hop is a good kid. If Marnie’s gonna date, it might as well be a kid like him. On the other, Marnie is his little sister, and he doesn’t want her dating at all.

-Eventually, Hop confesses to Marnie and they start dating. Leon’s happy for Hop and Piers is unexpectedly happy about it as well. They go steady for a while.

-They’re super sweet with each other. Hop is a cheesy romantic fool, and Marnie likes to take Hop to try new things.

-They spend like 2/3 of every day together.

-Total power couple. They’re both strong trainers, so no one can defeat them in a double battle.

-It lasts for a few years. They’re both happy and like each other, but Hop slowly realizes that it only goes as far as like. He begins to wonder.

-Eventually, Hop is sitting with Marnie when he starts telling her that he can’t see their relationship going any farther. He only liked her because she was cute and cool, but Hop just can’t see himself spending the rest of his life with her.

-Marnie agrees. She’s getting bored, and she’s afraid Hop isn’t exciting enough to keep her happy for the rest of her life.

-They agree to mutually split. They’re still really good friends tho. They’re the kind of exes that you invite to your wedding.

-Leon is supportive, but secretly disappointed. He thought everything was going well between them, but he understands that Hop just wasn’t happy anymore.

-Piers thinks about sending his pokemon to maul Hop, but Marnie stops him, telling him that she’s okay and it was a mutual agreement. Hop never did anything wrong, they just weren’t as close as they should be so far into their relationship.

Of course, it’s all just teen drama. Nothing serious happened, and nothing bad came from it. It’s just another experience as they grow and develop. They’re close friends for life, though.

Hop kind of greenscreened when Marnie told him that she was trans.

The first thing he asked was:

"Marnie, I love and adore you, whoever you may be, but trans as in Female to Male or Male to female? I am just afraid to missgender you, my love. "

Cause Marnie is the world for him and as long as he can be with her.

Marnie then explained him that she was born male, but was able to present female thanks to piers.

She was really happy to get this off her chest, especially since she now knew that she could absolutely trust Hop and that he loves her really deeply.
