David officially got the job in Waterloo 🙌🙌

My house is upside down. Boxes all over. Got rid of a whole bunch of things but we still have lots and lots to do.

This is how my thanksgiving is going. Now we’re traveling to Waterloo to see if we can find a place to live. We’re planning on going to see several homes for sale. The bad thing is that most of the houses that I liked are now pending to be sold. After all, we’re about nine hours away. If we can’t find a house to put an offer, then we’ll have to rent for who knows how long. Problem is that we have two pretty big dogs.

We’ll get back on Sunday. Wednesday we’ll leave to go to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic since my niece is getting married. If I had known all this was going to be happening I wouldn’t had gone but little did I know back them that I was going to be moving to Iowa and flight tickets and hotels are already paid. So once we come back we’ll be even busier.

I feel bad for Michael and Andrew since we did not prepare the yearly thanksgiving meal but there’s only so much we can do.

Work keeps asking me when will be my last day, I’ll have an idea by the end of this weekend.

It’s cold!!! I’m not complaining cause I knew it was going to be but dang it’s cold!!! I bought some sweaters and we’ll go from there.

are you taking requests for prof! gwil? if yes, let me just tell you I've been dying for some soft gwil. i've had this super important exam over the last two weekends, the last part of the exam being tomorrow 🙌 i also had to travel to a different city to take this goddamn test, so im all alone and tired in a hotel room. i just need some prof!gwil to help me through it all! 😬

i never write soft gwil which is so rude bc im obsessed with him. (good luck on ur exam bb!!!)

his stomach twists looking at you, your hair messy and your eyes tired and bloodshot, bent over the desk with obvious exhaustion. you’ve been studying non-stop for two weeks and while he silently applauded your diligence, he could see how your continuous work was wearing on you.

he crosses the room quietly, brow low in concern as he approaches you. “y/n,” he begins softly, catching your attention. you’d barely noticed him since he got home. you smile tiredly up at him.

“hey,” you huff, turning your eyes back to your textbook.

“y/n,” he pushed more firmly. you roll your eyes, looking up to the professor expectantly. “you’re exhausted, love. take a break.”

“i can’t, gwil,” you grunt, ignoring the way he crosses to stand behind you, hands beginning to rub your shoulders. you fight back a satisfied moan. “you know how much of a hardass dr. glines is, i need to know this through and through.”

“you do,” he insists. “you’ve been studying incessantly for weeks. you need a break.”

“i can’t.”

“you can. and you will. i’m not going to let you sit here and fry your brain all night. you’re done.”

his voice is firm and god, you hate when he acts like your father, but you have to admit that you’re exhausted and his hands feel so good, so you give a soft, acquiescent sigh. he smiles victoriously, hands working over your shoulders, thumbs digging into your skin with a knowing hum. “alright, love. you need to relax.”

“so i’ve heard.”

he laughs softly, shaking his head as you stood up and stretched your arms above your head, a yawn pulling from your chest. you turn around, taking a step and falling into his chest, arms wrapping around his waist as you inhaled sharply, eyes closing against his chest.

you hold him closely, finally aware of the desperation you felt for human contact. “so, i’m thinking facemasks and binge-watching.” he suggests. you laugh tiredly, nuzzling your face into his chest.

“facemasks, plural.” you point out, leaning back to raise a brow.

his face twists as though your words make no sense to him. “obviously.”

you giggle, rolling your eyes and leaning up on your toes to press a kiss to the corner of his mouth. “i’ll get the facemasks if you pick the show.”

he grins, squeezing you one last time before you pad off to the bathroom.

and usually, your mind would still be stuck on the work you aren’t doing, but your full attention is on gwil, especially when he insists on applying your sheet mask, which only ends with serum in your mouth and laughter bouncing around the room, your hips trapped between his knees. his hands, holding the sheet mask, follow your face as you turn away from him, both of you wheezing with laughter until he successfully applies the mask, stomachs sore from joy.

gwilym puts his own mask on in a quarter of the time it took to put on yours before collapsing in bed beside you and starting the show he had queued. you tucked yourself into his side, entwining your fingers as you sighed softly. gwilym presses a sweet kiss to your hair.

“you’re getting your facemask in my hair.” you tease, bringing your entwined hands to your face and pressing a kiss to the back of his hand.

instead of answering, he rolls his eyes. “i love you.”

you bite your lip to hide your smile, your thumb soothing over his hand as you looked to him, leaning up to press a soft kiss to his lips. “i love you too.”
