Happy to say that I can finally post about my new gecko!
Say hi to Groot, my mediterranean house gecko! I haven鈥檛 posted about them yet because we weren鈥檛 sure if they were going to eat. No Groot does not live in a styrofoam cup this is the only good photo I have. My dad鈥檚 coworker found this guy in a shed, it was below freezing outside and far too cold in the shed for the gecko. Groot was caught in a styrofoam cup which was difficult because they were only a few days old. Groot has been eating for two weeks now and is gonna be okay!! I am so happy 馃А馃А馃А
My beloved fandoms, I have a new pet baby lizard and now I need a silly goofy name for the little guy but I'm really bad at names, PLEASE HELP
Comment with any name y'all come up with, and pls reblog for a bigger sample size because I'm not at all popular
I found him in the corner of my bathroom yesterday morning and it was too cold to release outside, and I didn't want lizard poo in my clothes, plus I really wanted a pet lizard, so now I've got a child and I love him very much but idk their name. It's a very young house gecko
Unlike the gold dust day geckos that I鈥檝e been seeing all around Hawaii, house geckos are strictly nocturnal. In facts, geckos are usually nocturnal by default. Day geckos, which are native to Madagascar, are the exception.
Even though geckos are not native to Hawaii, they still seem to be well-liked, from what I鈥檝e observed.
Brother in law found a Mediterranean House Gecko that apparently didn't get the memo that it's winter and he shouldn't be hanging out in the snow, so I guess I have a Mediterranean House Gecko now
