Real talk, please read: sometimes as I scroll through the posts from the accounts I follow, mostly those of ladies who are trying to improve their health or appearance through improved nutrition and exercise, the shame and desperation are suffocating. I literally feel the heavy weight on my chest of your struggle and fear of failure. Working on yourself is not shameful – it’s healthy. Being imperfect isn’t shameful – it’s human. And so what if it takes a week or a month or 10 years to get your desired results? This is the only life you have to live, and “sometime” is a lot sooner than “never”. If you don’t quit, you will definitely, unquestionably, 100% make it where you’re going. I remember very well being where you are, flipping through magazines, looking at “goal bods”, quitting if I didn’t see a change in a week or two weeks. When I got consistent and did things that were reasonable instead of extreme, the results POURED in. And when I stopped questioning myself so much, it was a lot easier to keep going. And when I loved myself the way I deserved, I was able to help other people make the same changes. You are not a mess of problems to fix - you are a soul and a body and a one-of-a-kind wonder. (I had to google for some ugly words to put at the top of this pic - I don’t even know what ugly things people are saying to themselves anymore, because WHY on earth would you waste time putting yourself down?! Life is hard enough.
