May I request some headcanons on Unità Speciale from JoJo’s about how they would act around their crush? (I think Squalo and Tiziano would go together since I’m pretty sure they’re a couple-)

Hi! Omg another JoJo ask! I really love these asks so plz send them over! As for Squalo and Tiziano, I think honestly they are a couple as well (in my canon they are) so I’ll be grouping them ^^. I’ll probably group Secco and Cioccolata together too since they work as a duo (and could be seen as a couple but I’ll let readers decide)

How Unita Speciale acts around a crush

Squalo + Tiziano

Honestly I think Tiziano would be hard to read, but Squalo would be pretty easy. Like he would have a little bit of a stutter when he talks to his crush or like he’ll be blushing when they get close or smile in his direction. Tiziano might give them a pleasant smile or be softer around them. Even if the crush doesn’t see Squalo’s crush, Tiziano will catch on and so will Squalo to Tiziano.

The two of them will likely have a bit of a talk, just on whether or not they should also have the crush part of the duo and let the relationship become a trio. Likely chance is that they’ll be fine with it, and from then on they’ll likely be flirty towards the crush.

Tiziano is a bit more suave with the flirtation. He’s definitely not afraid to be a bit touchy with it, but he’ll just like watching them become a flustered mess. That doesn’t mean Squalo’s not flirtatious, he’s probably just as good. He’s a bit of a tease like Tiziano is, but it might be a bit more on the rough end (ie playfully pushing the crush around or like jump-scaring them with a surprise hug from behind). Either way expect the crush to get some physical affection along with very suave words.

The confession will come from them both, probably asking the crush to meet with them in a more private setting. It might be a side of a bar or a quiet area of town. The two of them will just explain it to the crush with simple words, nothing too long and nothing too short. If the crush agrees to date, expect a more in-your-face reaction from Squalo while Tiziano is a bit more calm (still has that amazing smile ofc)

Overall I think it would be a coordinated act. Before then the crush will just notice the two hanging around them more often or going on jobs/missions more with them. The two will also be a lot nicer to the crush than when they first met (I feel like they wouldn’t be as friendly tbh to other members of Passione unless they were close).

Cioccolata + Secco

Oh man. First of all to whoever became their crush I’m sorry. But on the other hand, hey it might be a cool experience? Or maybe the person like them, either way the crush will not know they had a crush until they say it, mostly because they’ll just be around them and the crush might think “oh no am I just on their good side or am I going to become a lab rat”

I think Secco would be easier to read. He will be, well, himself and might smother the crush a bit (I imagine he would be sort of like how cat’s brush up against people’s legs) but the crush might just think Secco’s interested in them like in a friendly way. Secco might talk to them more too, like actual interactions. Similar with Cioccolata he might talk to the crush more often but he’s good at hiding the attraction. If the crush compliments him, he’ll just thank them, but the crush might notice him being a bit more giddy than usual

I also feel like Cioccolata and Secco don’t do pick up lines or flirty words. For example, they probably have a weird sense of affection that isn’t really understood by common people, so depending on the crush the words will make them blush or drain the happiness out of their day haha. They’ll be more like gift-giving because it’s a bit simpler for the two parties.

The two might talk about it but Cioccolata might make the ultimate decision. The next step is on whether or not the crush ends up like Secco or if the crush goes through with the relationship without becoming a potential lab rat. The crush might feel like they need to agree, but the two might be a bit flexible if it comes to a rejection. They’ll just be more distant

Overall I think if the crush has good chemistry with this medical duo they’ll be fine. Hell they might be a force in Unita Speciale if their stand and their teamwork is super good with Cioccolata and Secco. The relationship might be more or less normal but it could also just be more destruction (it’s for you to decide)

Carne

He’s quiet, not very talkative and rarely shows emotions outside of his stand. However, when he has a crush it might be easier to read him because he gets flustered more

For example, if the crush worked with him for a while they might notice he’s a bit more shy than usual or that he’s a bit flustered when they compliment him. He’s less 😶 than usual like more 😳. He’s more of a gift-giver too since he doesn’t feel that good with words

I think it would take a long time for him to confess to his crush, like practice in front of a mirror or write it out. He’s probably dated once or twice, but he doesn’t really remember much about how they started so it feels like he has to start from scratch. He will NOT let anyone know about his crush though, in case their life gets threatened (if they are a civilian) or it gets awkward as a team (if they are part of the team).

His confession might be a bit awkward, it’s in a secluded place and his voice is fairly quiet. It’s kinda cute though coming from someone who works with one of Italy’s strongest mafias. If the crush agrees he’ll be delighted, honestly might just ask if they wanted to hang out for a bit longer. If the crush says no, then he’ll try to be a bit nonchalant about it but he’ll likely cut ties with them because it makes him think about his confession more.

Either way, he’s sort of like what I imagine Pesci would be like except he doesn’t have a “fratello” to help him or hype him up haha. He’ll be nice as a boyfriend, but he’ll be busy once Bruno’s gang decides to go against Diavolo

Doppio

Honestly he might be in denial for a bit that he has a crush on someone. He thinks it’s silly, maybe he’s seen too many tv shows or didn’t keep himself busy that he had time to dream. However, he’ll come around and just agree to himself that yeah maybe he has a crush

Diavolo might get in the way of Doppio trying to pick the crush up or like hanging out with them because Diavolo had a relationship before and he wants to keep anonymity, but Diavolo might stop if Doppio convinces him. The two don’t really have the exact same goals in terms of getting to know people

Doppio is always a more cheerful guy, he’s definitely going to be sweet to his crush. He’s friendly, takes them out to places, and genuinely spends time getting to know them. I feel like though he does blush from time to time, the crush might never see him flustered. He seems like the type to know how to hide emotions when he needs to, and this might be one of the cases. However, the crush will know Doppio’s at least enjoying their company

When it comes to the confession, he might be a bit more of a stuttering mess. He’s a bit shy with his words, likely does it outside in a less crowded area (like a seashore or a park) and just thinks of his words on the spot. He hopes the Boss won’t call him during this important moment as he waits for his crush to give him an answer. If that answer is yes, then he’ll be super happy and might give them a hug immediately after haha. If not, he’ll give an awkward laugh and say it’s no worry, the two could still be friends. Depending on if the crush is a civilian or not, they may see Doppio less

Overall I think he would be more of a daydreamer, sort of imagining what his life could be like with this crush and the things that romance brings in life. He might’ve talked to Diavolo about his crush too, but Diavolo likely shut him up and told him to focus on his work before rambling about the crush. Doppio’s a sweet guy ^^

Love was something you hoped for.

You were by no means a hopeless romantic, but the thought that someone or something may love you was too tempting to ignore.

Now you bitterly acknowledge your mistake. As you thought you loved someone. Or better yet two someones.

They were beautiful, painfully so. You could acknowledge that as you packed your bags hastily. You knew your heart wouldn't be able to heal quickly from the betrayal it faced that day ...

You were excited that fateful summer day. It marked the beginning of your relationship with Tiziano and Squalo. Your anniversary! You were positively glowing at the thought of coming home and preparing dinner for your two loving and amazing boyfriends. The entire time at work you distracted like the young girl in love you were. Your boss Rosario, an older woman and head librarian at Vallicelliana Library smiled gently at you through her spectacles.

"Any special plans tonight?" Rosario asked. You smiled dreamily as you crooned. "Yes, it's my anniversary with my partners." Rosario raised an eyebrow before turning back to her work. "Do you mean those handsome men that are often hanging off each other that ask for you occasionally?" You smiled nodding your head eagerly. "Yep, those are my Tiziano and Squalo." Rosario's face soured slightly at your dreamy state. She saw how those men looked at you, with boredom. Like you were some kind of chore for them. Compared to how lovingly they stared at each other, it was sobering for Rosario and saddening for you. You were wearing rose-tinted glasses and Rosario didn't want to be the one to rip them off, but she also didn't want you getting hurt in the long run. She looked back at you who was spinning around the library while taking stock and sighed. This was going to be difficult.

"(Y/N) mia bambina, may I give you a small bit of advice?" You hummed and turned around to face your boss, stars in your eyes. Wincing, Rosario readjusted her glasses. "Sometimes in life we think we love someone very much ... and that they love us back. However, what you think may be love may be the other person using you for ... convenience." You furrowed your brow confused, who was she talking about? Rosario noticed your confusion and sighed before turning back to her work. "I'll finish inventory bambina, why don't you go home early?" Your eyes lit up brightly as you bounced on your heels like a child. "Grazie Donna Rosario!" "Prego mia bambina..." Rosario quietly responded as you ran off into the summer sun. She hoped it wouldn't end as horribly as she thought.

You eagerly approached the lavish apartment complex you lived in. On your meager salary, you would barely afford to live in the luxurious city of Rome. Your boyfriends told you not to worry your pretty little head about it and that they would take care of everything. You never knew what their jobs were as they would often deflect or change the subject, but you didn't really mind. You were just happy to be theirs' and that they were yours. Your lovely Tiziano with his long blonde hair and dazzling amber eyes and your handsome Squalo with his amber curls and ocean blue eyes. Approaching the door, you brought out your key and unlocked it. You were ready to change into something more comfortable and then prepare the anniversary meal. Entering the house, you paused as you closed the door. What you heard made you blush.

Moaning

Your lovers were already home and were getting it on without you. You blushed at the thought of your boyfriends naked together without you. You had lingerie prepared for tonight, but you supposed you all could start now. Silently you walked over to the door to the collective bedroom and peeped through the door. Squalo had Tiziano pinned to the bed, and they were making out. You were going to enter the room when Squalo pulled away and looked down at Tiziano. "Tiziano, when are we going to get rid of her?" What? Who? Tiziano pulled the piece of hair that stuck to his sweaty forehead out of the way and leaned into his lover. "Tesoro relax, she's not here to bother us. We'll tell her as soon as she gets home." When she gets home? You leaned in closer to the door. They wanted to get rid of you. Why? Squalo laughed a little and sat up embracing Tiziano. "Good I can't wait to get rid of her, she's been nothing but dead weight." No. "Yes Squalo. (Y/N) has been a fun little experiment, but I think it's time we move on with our lives." Tiziano sighed and moved over to Squalo before crawling on top of him. You couldn't watch or listen to any more of this. The moaning, the dead weight, the fun little experiment, it was all too much for you to handle. You shook with anger, embarrassment, and sadness. How could they be so cruel? How could you be so stupid to believe them? Every kiss. Every I love you. Every passionate night. It meant nothing to them.

You meant nothing to them.

Tears welled up in your eyes as you remembered that horrible night. How you cried bitter tears into a hotel pillow, unable to look at your ex-lover's faces. You had snuck back in your shared apartment and grabbed what little stuff you owned. Left every gift they had bought you, they meant as much as you, so they were worthless. You thought bitterly to yourself as you wrote a note on the back of a photo on the fridge of the three of you in the front of the Colosseum. You poured your heart out one last time for them before leaving.

You called your mother telling her the news, that you broke up with your lovers and had nowhere to go. Being the amazing woman she is, (sorry if your mother is not), she allowed you to come back home until you could get back on your feet. You were forever grateful for you sweet mother's generosity in times of need. Unfortunately, that meant you'd have to move back to Sardinia, which meant you'd have to find work again. You went to Rosario and told her your situation. She, of course, supported you fully and embraced you as a final goodbye, wishing you luck in your future. You smiled and felt a little lighter knowing there were people in your back corner there to support you.

Arriving home, you were surprised to see your whole family back at your mother's small casa. Their empathy and full support of your decision was almost enough to make you cry. Your nonna made a whole plate of Seadas (they are an Italian pastry from Sardinia and look fabulous) just for you. It warmed your heart to see such love and support coming from your family, and you knew in your heart that you would be okay.

Months later...

Squalo was conflicted. He thought this was the best decision they had made in terms of the relationship. However, something felt off. When you didn't return, he personally didn't care. He was tired of having to share Tiziano with you, and now Tiziano was his. Only his. Life carried as normal but with just the two of them. There were traitors to exterminate, rivals to kill, rebellions to quell. Mafia life was rough but paid good money. However, when they came home there was no home cooked meal. That's perfectly normal, we'll just go out to eat! Then there were those times where he would make a joke and Tiziano wouldn't laugh. No laugh of tinkling bells at his stupid joke. Fine with me, it sounded more like a donkey compared to Tiziano's laugh. Tiziano... sweet Tiziano seemed to be getting more distant with the day. Intimacy was at a near zero and he looked pained when Squalo leaned in for a kiss. That was something Squalo couldn't deal with.

"Carino what's wrong?"

Tiziano was riddled with guilt. Ever since you left, he felt a sinking feeling in his chest. He thought he wanted you gone so that Squalo could be all his. He thought you were just a fling that got too clingy. An experiment. A fad. However, with each day you were gone he realized a horrible sinking truth.

He missed you.

Missed your smile, your laugh, your voice. How it felt to hug you, kiss you, and make love to you. When he and Squalo were in bed together, it felt awkward, clunky. He tried to distance himself from such thinking, but nothing worked. He was losing sleep over the issue. How would you take his news? Would you want him back? Or would you scorn him for the pain he caused you? How would Squalo react? He clearly seemed happy you were gone, often joking about it, which caused Tiziano to frown.

When being confronted with his stoic behavior Tiziano smiled in a practiced way before pecking Squalo's cheek.

"Nothing Tesoro, I've just been stressed about work. That's all."

Work. Ah right, how could he forget? Being in the mafia had no room for weakness, but he faltered once. A target looked like you which almost cost Squalo and him their job when he let the girl get away.

"Tiziano, I know that is bullshit. Please tell me the truth dear." Squalo's patience was running thin. Was Tiziano not in love with him anymore? No, he wouldn't allow it. Tiziano looked at his lover sympathetically before looking at the cold coffee set at his chair.

"You won't make fun of me carino?"

"Never my one and only."

Tiziano sighed before looking at Squalo once more

"I miss (Y/N)."

"Bwahahaha!"

Squalo couldn't help laughing and he couldn't help crying afterwards. This was all so simple yet complex. He thought he wanted (Y/N) gone but he too was missing the (h/c) who snared their hearts. Tiziano was angry at first, but seeing the pain in his lover's eyes he knew Squalo felt the same way.

"How do we get her back Tiziano? Ugh I feel so stupid!"

"Patience Squalo, we'll get her back. We just need to come up with a plan."

The duo stares at each other for a while before grinning evilly. The same thought in their minds.

(Y/N) would come back even in they had to drag her back because...

(Y/N) was theirs

Breaking up with Tiziano and Squalo was probably the best decision you've made in a long time. You got connected back with your family, you enrolled in school again, and were now pursuing the life you wanted. You worked at a nearby library to help you pay for college. The pay was way better due to your level of experience, and you had a more flexible schedule. Sure, you missed Rosario and some friends you made in Rome, but you think moving back to Sardinia reenergized your soul!

"(N/n) are you okay?"

Oh, that was right you were on a date right now with a really nice guy! Alessio Vargas. He would often come to the library you worked at and ask for help. He was a student at the same university who wanted to become a marine biologist. He asked about book recommendations, and you would always supply. Soon the two of you started talking about other things besides books. Turns out he didn't need you help he just wanted to talk to you and take you out. The first time he asked you said no, after all you were recovering from a bad relationship. He was okay with that, and you continued being friends. Finally, after months of getting to know him, you asked him out and he said yes.

"I'm fine caro, just a little nervous. This is my first date in a while." You sheepishly admit. Great now he'd think you're a loser. Alessio laughed and placed a hand on yours.

"This is my first date ever." Your eyes grew wide at his declaration.

"Really?! But you're so handsome!" Alessio laughed once more in his kind way and readjusted his wide rim glasses.

"Well I haven't been interested in anyone besides you."

You blushed at the thought and smiled. A handsome guy that was interested in you and only you. You were open to polyamorous relationships but since your last one went south, you thought you'd give monogamy a try. So far it was pretty solid, you weren't settling down quite yet, but you were having fun.

You came back from your date feeling lighter than a feather. Alessio was such a gentleman and was understanding the whole time. After dinner you walked on the beach and Alessio kissed your hand. Your hand! When you asked why he stated that "I knew kissing your lips would be too much for a first date, so I'll settle for your hand." Ah! He's so perfect!

While you were giggling like a teenager in love your phone buzzed in your pocket. Was someone calling you? You didn't recognize the number but picked it up anyways. "Hello?"

"Hello bambina do you have a minute?" It was Rosario and she didn't sound good. "Rosario what's wrong?" Horrible coughing continued on the other side. Oh no, just when things were starting to get better this happened. "Bambina listen ... I have only days to live these-illnesses have become severe and I need help- staying comfortable in my last days." You raised your eyebrow; something doesn't seem right. "When do I need to come over?" There was a pause and then an answer. "As soon as possible." You sighed and stared at the ceiling. You suppose you could afford to visit your old employer in her final days. Who are you kidding the woman was like a grandmother away from home to you!

"Alright I'll come."

On the other end of the line Rosario was choking back tears as the two men she feared were smiling evilly at each other. "You did well Rosario, we just need you for a little while longer and you'll be free as a bird." Squalo spoke up while Tiziano nodded and sat in the chair across from the elderly librarian. The two had found her at work and forced her to call her old employee. She didn't know what they wanted with (Y/N) but the look in their eyes shook her to the bone.

Obsession

Pure darkness and desire swirled in the eyes of the men, and made Rosario shake with fear. "You make me sick, what on Earth do you plan to do with (Y/N)?" Tiziano stood up and grabbed the elderly lady's scarf, pulling her over the desk. "What we plan doesn't involve you, just know she'll be in good hands." Squalo smiles and laughs at the older woman's misfortune. Tiziano grins before shoving her back in her seat. "Not like you could tell the police since my stand Talking Head has control of your tongue." These men were insane and dead set on getting you back for whatever sick reason they had. Rosario hoped you wouldn't come back to Rome because you would fall right into their trap.

Rome... your old stomping grounds. Back from the days you gave up on your dreams to be with two men who didn't even love you. Well, maybe they did at one point, but it was all in the past now. All you needed to do was provide support and care for Rosario and never come back to this hell hole ever again. You felt your feet become heavy with each step you took, as emotions came flooding back. You felt weak, powerless, useless. No! You were none of those things. You were a smart, strong, and independent woman on her way to a degree and a new boyfriend. You got this, nothing could stop you.

You were (Y/N) (L/N) for Christ's sake!

After the little pep talk in your head, you decided to call Rosario to get her address. Then you would get some of her favorite pastries and bring them over for her to enjoy. It was the least you could do. With that in mind you walked to the nearest pâtisserie and called the number Rosario used last time.

"Hello?" Good she was still alive. "Hey, Donna Rosario, I was wondering where you lived?" "Oh right, my bad bambina. I'll send you, my address." Good. "I bought you some sfogliatellas, your favorite." You heard a sigh of frustration that sounded a bit masculine on the other end of the line. "Donna, is someone with you?" You asked, suspiciously. This whole situation was too much for you. Being back in Rome, your suddenly terminally ill boss, and now you were hearing other voices. "No, I'm alone." A quick reply from the other end made you flinch from the internal whiplash. You had a bad feeling of something terrible happening. Clutching the bag of pastries you tentatively took a look at your phone. It was the address followed by a message.

We'll be waiting for you cara~

It was a mistake coming back and you knew it. It was a trap, and you came like some dumb dog with you tail wagging. You didn't know who we were, but you had a good idea of who it was. The mafia. Donna Rosario must have gotten into trouble with the mafia and wanted you to bail her out. What could Donna Rosario have done to piss the mafia off? You didn't know. Deep down you wanted to help the poor old woman because Donna didn't deserve it. Well at least the Donna you knew didn't deserve it.

The house she had was on one of the older streets in Rome. She wasn't rich but the house was impressive for someone of her means. You walked through the garden in the front yard to her door. It was already open, like someone expected you to be there. Chills went down your spine as you went through the door. "Donna Rosario?" You called out to the empty home. Silence. Such an interesting thing. There is good, wholesome, peaceful silence. Then there's deadly silence that looms like the grim reaper. It takes the air out of your lungs and brings fear into your every nerve. Everything in your body was telling you to go. To get out of there and run. You turned to leave.

"(Y/N)?"

Donna Rosario was so faint and frail sounding. Nothing like the vibrant and lively older woman you knew. You grit your teeth, knowing it wasn't right to leave this older woman vulnerable. You turned back around and called out once more. "Donna where are you?" "I'm in my bedroom bambina." You walked to one room and anxiously opened the door. Bathroom. Closet. Then a guestroom. Finally, you made it to the bedroom. No one was in there. "Donna are you sure you're in there?" Silence. "Donna Rosario?" Rustling could be heard in the closet. Aha! She's hiding in there. You march over to it a swing it open. "Donna what the big ide-AH!"

You've been warned

Donna Rosario was hung by the cord that turned on the light. Her mouth was wide open, and her tongue was ripped out of her mouth. Slash marks were found across her chest and arms. Blood dripped down into a pool of water that lay below her feet. You gagged at the gory sight. You dropped the bag of pastries in fear and horror. Backing up you stepped on something squishy. Looking down you couldn't hold back your bile. You stepped on Rosario's tongue. You threw up all over Rosario's nice white carpet. Who was sick enough to do this? Why?

You needed to get out of here quickly, the killer might still be in the house. Running out of the bedroom you ran to the front door. The door was closed. You turned the knob. Locked. You desperately pounded on the door, tears streaming down your face. You slammed your full body weight on the door, but it refused to budge. "No where to run bambina except into our loving arms." That voice, no it couldn't be. "Squalo be patient she isn't exactly happy to see us here." No, no, no. You kick at the door hopping to escape. What do they want? They kicked you out of their lives so why are they here?

"Aww Tiziano but don't you miss the feeling of her softness?" The voices got closer and closer. You felt trapped like a caged animal. They murdered Rosario maybe they wanted to kill you too. "Stay away from me! You-you murderers!" "I do miss her softness, but I don't really miss her mouth. At least not right now." Tiziano spoke as the duo's footsteps drew closer and closer. You had to find some kind of weapon. Something! Anything! You noticed the fireplace and grabbed the fire poker ready to stab their eyes out. You weren't going down without a fight.

"Hey cutie."

"GAHHH!" You ran at the ginger man in front of you aiming for his face. You were not a fighter, so he dodged easily. He grabbed you and twisted it behind your back, pulling you into his chest. You yelped in pain and dropped the fire poker. You weren't going down just yet. You fought with all your might: kicking, screaming, biting, punching any bit of flesh you could find. "Aww our bambina wants a hug Tiziano." He squeezed you hard, causing you to choke. Tiziano walked in the room to see the commotion. He covered his mouth with his hand and snorted at the sight. What was wrong with these psychos acting like this was normal? Like they didn't kill your boss and aren't currently keeping you hostage in your boss' house.

"Squalo be gentle she's quite fragile." Tiziano takes you from Squalo's arms and whispers in your ear. "Struggle and I'll rip your arms off." You stiffen at your ex-lover's words. "Why?" Was all you could say as tears came pouring out of your eyes. Tiziano looks down at your tear-stained face and coos. Wiping away some of the tears he responds. "Why because you stole something from us when you left." Panic filled your heart at Tiziano's words. Steal? What did you steal? Seeing your panicked face both Tiziano and Squalo chuckle before leaning in. "You stole our hearts bambina." Squalo responds lovingly. Tiziano pulls you closer and stares at you with his amber eyes. His words were the last you hear before your world went dark "Now it's time you pay for it."

Alessio sighed and gripped his phone harshly. He couldn't understand why you weren't picking up. It's been a few weeks ever since your trip to Rome and your family was starting to get worried. He was worried.

The number you are calling you are unable to reach right now, please leave your message after the beep. BEEP

"Hello? (Y/N)? It's been weeks now and you haven't responded to any of your parents' calls. Or my calls. Cara we're worried for you, alone in the city, near your exes. I trust you're not back with them but come back to Sardinia. Your family misses you. I miss you. I've collected your homework at the academy for you, so don't worry about it. Please, please come back. This isn't like the woman I've come to know. I love you...

Okay so I have not gotten to part 5 of Jojo's yet actually so this is kinda based off of wikipedia and Youtube clips. Sorry if they're kinda ooc, but when I get to part 5 I may revisit this. Didn't want to leave you hanging and thanks for requesting. My apologies for the shortness, but I was having a hard time imagining scenarios for Tiziano and Squalo bc I don't have a good feel for their character yet

Italy, although known to most as a warm and beautiful country, can be quite cold at night. You’re not sure how much longer you can last, and you can’t even remember the last time you had a proper meal. The hunger and the cold gnaws at you, draining your willpower. Curling up in an alleyway, you conserve what little body heat you have left. When you awake, two pairs of bright, piercing eyes, blue and gold, fill you with a type of warmth you didn’t know existed. Your head is fuzzy from sleep though, and you can barely hear their hushed whispers.

“Tiziano…. What do we do with it?”

“We can’t afford the distraction. The boss is counting on us.”

“But look at it, it’s so pitiful. Can we keep it?”

“Them, Squalo, they’re not a dog.”

The two men are pressed close to each other, whispering in each other's ears. The act is so intimate, and you feel cold again, tears stinging your eyes as the bitter feeling of loneliness overwhelms you. A warm hand brushes away a tear from the corner of your eye.

“You’re coming with us, bambina.”

It turns out, being sequestered inside with food is better than being free outside with no food. The two men don't let you leave the little room they brought you to, and sure, sometimes it's boring when they disappear for long stretches of time, but at least you're alive. At least you're not cold anymore. You'd do anything to stay here with them. Anything to not be alone anymore. And they know it. They take full advantage of it. You don't know they discuss how to keep you dependent on them late at night. You don't know they bring up your past and your family on purpose to remind you how good you have it now. You don't know what kind of people they really are. You'll sleep soundly at night, on a bed they provided, none the wiser.

Warning: these are kinda all over the place??, tried to give each character a chance to shine but there might be some uneven coverage of characters, Cioccolata is his own brand of concern

- One word to describe the relationship: intense

- Everyone loves aggressively and frequently

- Hard to say if there's some kind of "balance" between the four of you. Even Carne, though silent, is just as clingy and touchy as Cioccolata and Secco

- Oh yeah btw you're never going to be left alone

- Even on missions, even if Doppio insists you go alone, they don't care. I really think these three men take Doppio or Diavolo's words as just a suggestion.

- Secco is the worst offender. His clinginess is overwhelming. He'll always insist that he holds your hand, your waist, any bit of skin he can get his hands on

- And he's just as determined that you give him the same attention. He'll always want you to pet him, to sing the same praises as Cioccolata, give him some special treatment w extra sugar cubes or kisses. Your attention is very addicting

- Cioccolata and Carne on the other hand? They're around you just to get a rise out of you

- Like I know Carne stepped closer to Mista just because he thought it was funny that it annoyed him

- They both love to scare and prod at you. Cioccolata does all the talking and teasing for the both of them, wheress Carne just likes to stare and hold you

- The unwavering eye contact could make anyone squirm and a low rumble erupts from his chest when Carne knows he's getting to you

- While it's fairly easy to fluster Secco and (kind of) Carne back, it's become a game between you and Cioccolata to see how you could make the surgeon blush

- He rolls his eyes when you act sweet, he laughs and plays along when you try to get intimate and tease him, you could show up at his door covered in blood and his face doesn't grow warm

- The secret? Join in on one of his tapes, he wants to see you revel in the adrenaline rush of murder.

- It's the action that gets blood rushing to his cheeks, it's the fact that he's sharing the experience with you and Secco. No secret that the doctor has a twisted sense of joy and romance, he loves taping the "dates" he has with you because of this

- It's like a lil scrapbook, y'know? Fond memories with you and Secco <3

- Sometimes Carne joins in on the fun, but he's rather camera shy, so he's the director. While you three are making out sloppy style, his hand is in the corner frame giving a small thumbs up.

- You four are only considered "cute" by Tiziano and Squalo, but you all really are happier than what any outsider can assume

Some name-assigned-at-birth and non-nickname, etc., headcanons and some other headcanons also.

Diavolo: Livio Una (separate person from Doppio -- who brainwashed Doppio to think they're the same person). He's Donatella's brother and that's how he first noticed Doppio. Trish is the biological child of Donatella and Doppio, who are both trans - Doppio being Trish's natal parent and Donatella her sire. Doppio had lost his memory of having an unplanned child and of his hometown burning due to shock. Diavolo, after "befriending" and controlling Doppio and getting hold of his hospital records, only permitted Doppio to see very specific doctors, who Diavolo paid to fabricate medical records and to withhold from Doppio that he'd ever had a child. All to make up the lie that Trish is his own daughter, giving him an excuse to dissolve Passione for his own gain.)

Doppio: Born nameless, adopted as Daniella Voltolini, later changed to Domenico "Nico" Voltolini (he/him). The name "Doppio" was given to him by Diavolo as yet another way to claim ownership of him and to further the facade that they're the same person.

Fugo: Dante. He'll never give anyone his last name, and it takes a lot to get his real first name out of him.

Giorno: Dio named him Giorno Joestar, intended to be a genderless name, but Giorno's mother renamed him Haruno (meant to be a feminine name) and changed his last name to Giovanna when she got married. Giorno would later change his own last name back to Joestar.

Mista: Gabriel Micheli (the name Guido Mista started off as a joke he'd call himself, and it later caught on into a nickname)

Narancia: (they/them) Birth name Natali Ghirga, later changed to Nakajima (橘) Ghirga, intended to be genderless. Which means about the same thing (orange) but can also be pronounced as the surnames Nakajima and Tachibana. This is ultimately where the nickname Narancia came from, which is often shortened to "Nara."

Pesci: Leopoldi "Poldi" Argento

Prosciutto: Prospero Argento

Risotto: Nero Rybakov, Неро Рыбако́в. His parents were from Yekaterinburg, Russia. Before they had him, they fled to Italy to escape persecution. Nero's cousin, Bela, moved to isolation in Siberia, where Nero would later return to live with her after deservedly murdering his parents. Nero speaks Russian, Italian, and English.

Gelato: Gervasio Romano, later Gervasio Romano-Li

Sorbet: Salvatore Li, 黎, later Salvatore Romano-Li

Squalo: Saro Bernardi

Tiziano: Tiziano (no last name - his mother was an unhoused, undocumented sex worker and so was her parent), later Tiziano Bernardi

Donatella and Diavolo for the ask game? (And maybe Squatizi? 🦈)

For Squatizi- I remember the mix of surprise and excitement I felt when I saw the two of them on my first watch of VA. At that point, I had kind of just assumed that Jojo had no actually on-screen LGBT+ characters (The only canonical non-cishet at that point was DIO, whose bisexuality was only confirmed by Araki and is never actually stated or shown in the work) and was simply popular with the community due to its general nature (which does appeal to a lot of gay subcultures and tastes in that way). The notorious Bury-Your-Gays moment with Sorbet and Gelato didn't help either.

So, when Tiziano and Squalo showed up, going so far as to fondle each other on-screen, I just went "holy shit". These two are actually gay? And we get to see it? Honestly, I cared less about the fight in that arc and was just interested in seeing what would be done with those two- I suppose it wasn't explicitly stated they were together, but the on-screen groping was kind of enough to tip you off. Just for that reason, I do have a fondness for them, and I do understand why people love them and mess around with them so much in fanon.

Though, while the novelty of an actual gay couple in Jojo excites me alone, much of their writing still frustrates me and they were far from what I'd consider "good representation". They had very little screentime and were really less two individual characters and more just two halves of one whole. The fight itself was underwhelming (which you articulated perfectly in a previous post of yours) and Squalo dying almost instantly after Tiziano instead of putting up any sort of fight after his mantra of revenge was disappointing. While "good representation" is not exactly my expectation knowing... the way Jojo is, it was still annoying.

I do like them and enjoy how people take their characters and expand upon the underwhelming amount that canon gives. They're not my favorite couple and I don't talk about them a lot, but I certainly favor the pairing and see why people focus on them so much.

As for Diavolo and Donatella: As you might've guessed, I have many thoughts about the two of them. I don't know how long this is going to be, so I'll put this under a cut.

I would not say I think about Donatella and Diavolo as a pairing in a particularly "shippy" way. In a lot of ways, I don't even really see them as a romance. They only interacted for an extremely short period of time, at about a few weeks maximum, and despite apparently growing attached enough to sleep together, they barely found out anything about each other and Diavolo abandoned her without so much as giving her his name.

I find Donatella incredibly interesting (and frustrating) to think about just for that reason. Diavolo is obviously extremely avoidant of people and has been so for his entire life, using aliases since he was young, killing his mother and burying her under his house's floorboards, and then killing his adoptive father and burning down his town when he found out. In all other ways, he shows dangerous precision, determination, and intelligence when it comes to erasing himself from the world.

So, on one hand, Donatella is a really interesting deviance in his behavior and a representation of the moral of Diavolo's character. Connecting and being known by other people is simply a part of being human; Diavolo tries his hardest to scrub every trace of his existence away and isolate himself in the search of evading the inevitable pitfalls of being human, but this is an impossible task. Even one little connection from years ago- in this case, a brief fling- spiralled into an unignorable marker of his existence, and that led to his downfall.

For anyone else, a brief date as a teenager would hardly be anything remarkable or consequential, but for Diavolo, his goal to erase himself completely just multiplies the consequences of any and all relationships he's had. What would likely be a connection anyone else would overlook is instead the main reason for the fall of Diavolo's empire. (You also have the fact that Diavolo was apparently irresponsible enough to get Donatella pregnant, which could say something about how Diavolo's avoidance of relationships makes him act haphazardly and make big mistakes in the relationships he did have.)

However, at the same time, Donatella is... odd to think about (and I believe this is also part of why she's talked about as little as possible in the story). It's very hard for me to imagine Diavolo, someone shown to be secretive since he was very young, having a fling with a random girl out of nowhere. Sure, him having a relationship could work, but a seemingly random brief date leading to an accident-baby just seems off and hard to imagine considering everything else we know about him. Believably expanding upon the idea with more detail while keeping Diavolo in character sounds rather difficult, which is why I think Vento Aureo just doesn't bother doing it. (Also, why would someone date and then sleep with a guy whose name they don't even know?)

Not to mention, throughout the entire story, in all of Diavolo's spiels about how the past is coming back to haunt him, I do not believe he ever even says Donatella's name. Trish only mentions her once when prompted in the Notorious B.I.G. arc, and the only information she gives about her father are the basic facts that he was Sardinian and briefly dated her mother as a teenager. We learn essentially nothing about the relationship that these two had to Donatella, and that's a big problem.

Diavolo is at least built to be mysterious, but Trish... isn't. Could she not have asked Donatella about what her father was like personality-wise during any point in her life? Did she have no opinion on what she was like as a mother? Did she garner no opinion on her father before it was revealed he was a crime boss?

While I can speculate, it's obvious to me that Donatella pretty much only exists in the story as a plot reason why Diavolo has a daughter and not much thought was put into her or this detail of Diavolo's past beyond that. I think it's equally hard for others to envision this, which is part of the reason why the misconception of Trish actually being Doppio's daughter is a thing; the anime even plays into this by expanding on their backstory to have Doppio be the one to meet Donatella instead.

However, as I've said before, we know that this isn't true and this anime addition is in fact kind of a plot hole. We see that Doppio doesn't recognize Donatella, being unreactive when holding a picture of her in both the manga and anime and laughing at the concept of having a daughter or a girlfriend.

This anime change is especially irritating considering the fact that there are other implications in how Donatella apparently knew Diavolo and not Doppio. According to their backstory in the manga, the described personality that their adoptive father and village came to know them as is "cowardly and clumsy, yet open-hearted"- describing Doppio to a T.

For clarification, the manga goes on to state that in the Jojo universe, people with DID have alters that are fully present since adolescence.

This suggests that both Diavolo and Doppio were around since early childhood, but the village people and his father only knew Doppio- which makes sense, because knowing Diavolo, he would probably keep to himself. So, then, the fact that Donatella apparently knew Diavolo and Doppio doesn't even recognize her would say something really interesting about their relationship alone; what made Diavolo comfortable enough to show himself to her? What prompted him to go out and meet her in the first place?

Also, this may be a bit of a tangent, but I really dislike how they attempt to characterize Donatella in the anime. Her dialogue comes across as extremely stilted and odd, which makes sense, considering it's just her repeating the list of Trish's interests in the manga. (Literally- rewatch the scene and compare it to the page.)

Unlike Trish, she gets no characterization beyond this "I love sparkling water and I hate smelly men and anything that isn't beautiful" spiel- honestly, she somehow comes off as more shallowly written than the grand total of zero lines she got in the manga... but I digress.

Diavolo and Donatella are really interesting to me, but the information we get about them in canon is almost less than bare-bones, which I find to be one of the major flaws in the story. (Seriously, Jojo's creation of really interesting implications about characters and then simply refusing to do anything with them is one of its most annoying tendencies, and it especially shows with Diavolo.) I do enjoy people attempting to expand upon them in fanworks with the very little we get, but I don't know if I'd call that "shipping"; just expanding upon a hinted relationship. All in all, it's a pairing with a lot of food for thought.
