Ohmygoshhh why is Hanji so so good to be shipped with anyone?! 😩❤️❤️❤️
RIGHT??? You can ship Hange with anyone and have a really good ship in your hands???
Levihan? Excellent chemistry, opposites attract, great banter, immense angst, practically soulmates, made for each other kinda love, the 'wings of freedom' symbolism, the last of their kind and the only ones who could truly understand each other aah my heart
Mobuhan? Incredible loyalty, silent support, pure and selfless love, 'i've always got your back', 'i'd die for you', sleepless nights spent in yearning, also truckload of angst
Pikuhan? Also great chemistry, funny banter, grumpy/sunshine dynamic, very flirty and fruity oho, would work so well in a college AU omg
Eruhan? 'I know your burden', mature and respectful, soft and gentle, long time friends to secret lovers, ballrooms and fine wine in military uniforms, a very aesthetically pleasing ship
Onyahan? Science buds and kindred spirits, exploring the world together, dancing to jazz kinda vibes, very smooth talkers, on their best behaviour, so unique
Zekehan? FUCK YEAH the crackling rarepair, evenly matched intelligence, mind games, sleepless theory-nights running on caffeine, giggles and snorts, bad karaoke, reckless and wild, stupidest inside jokes, zero fucks given

Mongolian history class, 2022, start of the semester. We're having a discussion on animal slaughter, featuring the one Mongolian student in our school.
The student explains that he's slaughtered animals himself, and there are two ways of doing it that avoid the spilling of blood. For a small animal like a chicken, you reach up into the chest of the animal and sever the arteries. For a larger animal like a camel, there's a spot on the forehead that, when hit hard enough, causes the animal to die instantly.
While this discussion is going on, a couple of the students are sharing something back and forth on their phone
The professor calls this out, asking if what they're sharing is more interesting than Mongolian animal slaughter
The room is dead silent for a few seconds. The two students look at each other awkwardly.
Eventually, one of the students pipes up:
"Well, the queen of England just died."
And without missing a beat, another student:
"Did they hit her on the head like a camel?"

I wish we had more female characters like Eleanor Shellstrop. One of the most unlikable people you've ever met. Read a Buzzfeed article on most rude things you can do on a daily basis and decided to use that as a list of goals. Makes everyone's day worse just by being there. Dropped a margarita mix on the ground and tried to pick it up, only to get hit by a row of shopping carts which pushed her into the road where she was hit by a boner pill delivery truck, killing her instantly. Cannot keep a romantic partner despite being bisexual. Had a terrible childhood but will die before she gets therapy. Best employee at a scam company. Just the worst but also can't help but root for her to improve.
Absolute loser. Girl-failure. Bad at almost everything. Literally perfect female character.

"Marcille hates all of Laios' freak traits but loves them in Falin" is honestly a really good joke but... you guys do know it's a joke right?
It's such a funny one I honestly find it impossible to get mad at even when people mistake it for an actual truth about the characters but JUST TO MAKE IT CLEAR
THIS is how marcille reacts when Falin is predictably just as enthusiastic about eating monsters as her brother was.
That is not the face of a woman who thinks this trait is lovely and endearing as long as it's exhibited by the girl she loves. That is the face of a woman who is taking 7d8 psychic damage and yet knows deep in her heart she won't like Falin any less for it.
The way young Marcille reacts to Falin eating berries Marcille can't recognize but Falin knows are safe is pretty similar to how she reacts to eating monsters years later, albeit with more fear than disgust. The difference in her relationships with Laios and Falin isn't just that she's attracted to Falin, it's because the Touden siblings, while similar, are in fact different people. Not just genderswaps of each other.
Also, I think you all already know this, but just to say it: she doesn't actually hate Laios for any of his freak tendencies either. He's one of her best friends. She's just a lot quicker to be outwardly exasperated with him while she's quieter about it with Falin.

i love spock with cats just like everyone and i don’t know how much y’all know about cat body language but i felt this would be important to share
this cat is extremely happy (understandable), she’s slow blinking (sign that she’s content/comfortable) and even making biscuits a little bit (the way she clenched her paws like she’s kneading, another sign of comfort/that she trusts the person she’s with)
and i can’t find any other clips but you can tell the whole episode that the cat actor is just so excited to be there
anyways that wasn’t really important i just think it’s nice

I really despise the Marvelification of Stranger Things, because all the interviews nowadays are constantly referencing how fast paced and epic and big the finale will be but the reason people fell in love with the show wasn't special effects or long episodes; it was the plot, it was the characters, it was the mystery. Stranger Things 1 may have been a story about a government conspiracy and a monster, but that's not why we stuck around. The show can throw amazing CGI, Russians, a battle within the American army and an apocalypse at the audience with the biggest budget known to man but if they forget to ground it and keep it central, it'll just get lost amongst a plethora of other "epic" blockbusters. We want Steven King, not Avengers.

I made a pillow!
It took four months of non-stop cross-stitching, but I finally finished a pattern I bought from @8pxl a little bit ago, and tonight in a bizarre burst of productivity I finally sewed a back to it and stuffed it into a cute little pillow! It ended up being pretty much perfectly sized for a neck pillow, but I'm a bit worried about it getting dirty that way.
I highly recommend the patterns from 8xpl's shop, there are SO many gorgeous ones to choose from. I might end up getting another one soon o3o
