He sat. He stared. The body on his lap, a nice man, an angel, a friend, Scar. He was gone now. He knew there was nothing to do but his brain screamed at him to treat his wounds, but he was shaken to the spot. Scar died smiling at him, the bright light now gone. He missed that enthusiastic shimmer, his only hope, his friend. He opened his mouth but nothing would come out. Tears flooded his eyes, daring to spill, but he wiped them, not wanting to cover his friend’s body in his tears. He raised his hand to Scar’s face, sticking out two fingers and shutting his eyes delicately, not wanting to hurt him any more. He wiped the blood off the corner of his mouth and his nose. Finally, something came out of his throat, shaky and pitiful. “I- I’m so sorry Scar…” He shifted, taking off his friend's shirt. He sobbed at the arrow lodged in Scar’s chest. His hands shook as he reached for the thing that had shot his angel out of the heavens. He firmly took it in his hands and pulled. It flew out, chunks of skin and blood following. He cried, wiping the tears from his face as he cleaned up the body laid in his lap. Scar’s hand still rested on his shoulder Legend says they still lay there together, letting the plants pull them together.
