🗨️ I just love me some good enemies to lovers AU 🥵 the relationship between OC and tae is really good, I think the tension between them was well built 👏🏾 I loved how their relationship unfolded and grew through their fake dating 🥹 the way OC realized she had feelings for him, but he had showed her before in his subtle moves, how much more he relaxed in her presence. I loved the interaction between oc and tae’s parents too, the way that they could obviously tell that OC was head over heels 😂 ah just, It was really really good! It was funny, it was comforting, and such a lovely read around Christmas! And the smut was sweet and tender (also hot!) 😍 a really great fic that I’ll add to my Christmas re-reads for years to come ✨ I loved it! Please go read it if you haven’t already 🥹

🗨️ This was just utterly sweet, so fluffy 🥺 I really liked this: the way that reader and Taehyung’s friendship deepens, their friends and their banter 🥺 everything was so good, soft, sad sometimes, and just really great and funny too 🤭

HI ! So im answering this as a new ask cause I bring (hopefully) new info and have IMAGES TO SHARE !

which then led me to go through his filmography (at least the first things google showed me) AND

First, found this movie from early 80s (pretty sure ‘81) called Night Warning/Butcher Baker Nightmare Maker and 👀

I didn’t even know about it but it has an actual interesting plot and a lot of VERY GOOD reviews, so now im curious

AND SECOND it fucking happened again, this man has been an even bigger part of my childhood then half seeing Twister sometimes, and it both took me out and made me feel like an absolute fool for never noticing it

Have you ever seen Spy Kids 2 or 3? Cause I HAVE ! MANY TIMES !

HE PLAYS THE STUPID COWBOY WHO OWNS THE AMUSEMENT PARK WITH THE STUPID NAME

First off: I've heard of Butch Baker Nightmare Maker but never had an interest in watching it but with the reviews and...Stuff....Now, I suddenly do. It's so strange. Wonder what it is? 👀 (FFFFFUUU- He looks so good there omfg I swear if Severen would have stripped off his jacket at least once in the movie I would have been FERAL🥵 )

Secondly: lolol Ikr? He's such a softboy (Little yanadere ngl. Like tone it down, Paul.) in Mortuary I honestly felt so FUCKING bad for him tho. It's hurting me that I can't spoil anything but people really failed him and his character is the most interesting thing about that movie.

It's campy, certain things were unnecessary plot holes and the lead actress imo wasn't as good as the actor playing her boyfriend and Bill as Paul but it's worth the watch at least once! Technically, a slasher just an lesser known one. Look at his gay lil run ☠️😭 That alone should be the only reason needed.

Third: Bro idk WHY but a barely remember Spy Kids 😬 Idk if I just wasn't interested as much as a kid or if it's just been that long 😅 But yeah it does not shock me at this point. He played so many characters from serious to goofy throughout his entire career (Which is kind of refreshing bc so many actors only play serious cash grab roles as they get older then there's middle aged Bill like 3 decades in the business playing a character called Dinky Blinks ☠️)

He was also in the Titanic which shocked a lot of ppl including me like that hair and tan completely disguised him.

And I forgot to add this to the watch list (IDK HOW IT'S ONE OF MY FAV MOVIES WITH OR W/O BILL) but Frailty is really good. I LOVE psychological thrillers with twist endings especially if they're done right and Frailty is one of the best ones I've ever seen (Bill Directed it too!)

It has Religious Trauma in it so if ur sensitive to that then I get not watching it but its really well done AND Matthew McConaughey is the leading role AND the child actors were amazing idk who they are but if they were that great as kids I'm sure they went on to be major Actors and I just don't recognize them.

This girl's about to go off gushing over Freaky!

So almost every single death scene in the movie is an homage to a classic!

The opening titles and the killer's mask is a reference to Friday the Thirteenth

The way the last girl in the beginning dies and how the killer tilts his head is a reference to the original Halloween

The shop teacher's death is a slight homage to Saw

Knife coming through the door in her best friend's house is a reference to the Shining

The chainsaw scene is an obvious reference to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre

The guy that gets a hook through his eye is a reference to I know what you did last summer

And a stake through the heart is probably a reference to Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Extra notes: There is a bit of defensive energy and a slight confusion from your person tho. Yea I've been into anime ever since I was a child, eg. digimon, sailor moon, etc. But I started to get very into it when I was 12 (nowadays I haven't been watching anime that often, it's an on off relationship), because around that time I was also interested in drawing manga style and wanted to be an animator. Hawk’s Movie Rec List🦅🎬🍿

Okay y’know what I’m actually just gonna put together a movie rec list because why not😂 This list will include my summary, a list of starring actors that you’ll recognize in the film, and where to (legally) watch it.

What We Do In The Shadows

Hawk’s summary: a mockumentary about a quartet of vampires living in New Zealand. Also has a spin off show focusing on a group of vampires from Staten Island, NYC. Hilarious and also like... just some great supernatural content. You can watch the show without seeing the movie and tbh it’s just as amazing, if not better.

Starring: Taika Waititi, Jemaine Clement, Jonathan Brugh

Streaming on: Hulu (tv show), rental on Prime (movie)

Pirates of the Caribbean: the Curse of the Black Pearl

Hawk’s summary: look all the characters are great, the plot is great, zombie skeletons pirates are great, idk what else to tell you. It’s just a fun time.

Starring: Johnny Depp, Kiera Knightly, Orlando Bloom, and that cute monkey lmao. Also the dog with the keys.

Young Frankenstein

Hawk’s summary: this film is a comedy and parody of classical horror films and yet manages to be the most accurate Frankenstein film to the original novel in terms of understanding the theme of man vs maker etc. And it’s Mel Brooks, the king of comedy tbh.

Starring: Gene Wilder, Mel Brooks, Madeline Kahn

Streaming on: Starz/Hulu/Prime, but... you can find the full film for free very easily.

Blazing Saddles

Hawk’s Summary: another Mel Brooks comedy, this time parodying old westerns! Watch if you’re tired of racist characterizations and in need of some no barred laughs. Fair warning: they use the N word a LOT, but like... to show the absurdity of racists. Idk I saw it first when I was 8 (questionable parenting move lmao) but it’s one of my all time favorites.

Starring: Gene Wilder, Mel Brooks, Madeline Kahn, and Mel Brooks still making fun of Nazis like he does best 🤩

Undercover Brother

Hawk’s summary: a parody of the spy genre and blaxploitation films. Follows Undercover Brother as he joins a secret Black organization that fights The Man, an unknown white dude who wants to erase the effect of Black culture on white America.

Starring: Dave Chappelle, Neil Patrick Harris, Denise Richards, Billy Dee Williams, Cris Kataan, and a great cameo by James Brown

RED and RED 2

Hawk’s summary: watch a bunch of retired secret agents who are “past their prime” be total badasses. Lots of humor, some excellent and fun action scenes. Doesn’t take itself too seriously and is really just about having a good time.

Starring: Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren, John Malkovitch, Brian Cox, Marie-Louise Parker

The Man from U.N.C.L.E

Hawk’s summary: loosely based on a 60’s tv show about an American CIA and Russian KGB agent who are partners, but this time with a spunky German mechanic thrown into the mix as they look to stop nuclear launch codes from falling into the wrong hands. Guy Ritchie has a lot of fun with this OT3. Fun spy movie, great chemistry between the three leads, great action and humor!

Starring: Henry Cavill, Alicia Vikander, Armie Hammer, Elizabeth Debicki, Hugh Grant, and that one white guy who’s always some sus dude (Jared Harris! Lmao)

Sherlock Holmes & SH: Game of Shadows

Hawk’s summary: another fun series by Guy Ritchie (imo the first is much better though). RDJ and Jude Law have a great time playing off each other, and I love Rachel McAdams as Irene Adler. Jared Harris is in these too so I think he’s friend with Ritchie lmao but he does a fabulous job being manipulative. And the MUSIC!! Love it.

Get Out

Hawk’s summary: okay tbh I see this more as a psychological thriller than horror but I think it just really depends based on your own life experiences. “I would’ve voted for Obama a third time” lmaooo yeah that boy should’ve turned his ass around the second he hit that deer. Jordan Peele really did a great job with this film and it’s always an interesting watch.

Starring: Daniel Kaluuya, Lakeith Stanfield (he was AMAZING), Bradley Whitfield, Allison Williams, Catherine Keener, Caleb Landry Jones

Hawk’s summary: this movie really lived up to the hype. A fun mystery film with a few really good twists! Tbh idk who let Daniel Craig do the accent but it just works for the movie lmao. Also a good movie for the family bc each age group can relate really well to a group of characters.

Starring: Daniel Craig, Ana de Armas, Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Christopher Plummer, that girl from Netflix, and Lakeith Stanfeild is there too!!

Galaxy Quest

Hawk’s summary: if you’ve ever watched Star Trek or been to a Comic Con... yeah you need to watch this movie. Good gracious it’s hilarious. A bunch of actors from an ended Star Trek show are abducted by aliens who took their episodes to be historical records... and they actually have to play their parts in real life to save the day.

Starring: Sigorney Weaver, Alan Rickman, Tim Allen, Sam Rockwell, Tony Shalhoub, Missi Pyle

The moment I began writing this, I thought of having cheesy popcorn for dinner. My mom has bought half a kilo of it and she put it right in front of me, currently. The temptation is real, I must say *sigh.

Helo for whoever coming across my very first post in this Tumblr. FYI, this is my third time of creating a Tumblr. The first was around 8 years ago (even I ogled at myself after counting the years), abandoned because I forgot to do daily updates. The second was last year, used as a place I could literally pour my idea for fan fiction. Then I deleted it because... I couldn't find what the reason was.

I'm a she. 25 years old, and a schediaphilia (need to google the actual spelling though) not because of my life as a single woman. 25 is just a number *flip hair*. I ain't bragging about my age, plus I've just gotten a job last week. I practically have nothing as my asset.

But I have something as my hobbies.

1. Reading manga / manhwa / novel

2. Watching anime and drama (movie? Not much)

3. Writing novel / short stories / blog (obviously I'm doing it now)

4. Drawing (ain't a fine artist, and my drawing is stiff but I enjoy drawing so why shouldn't I keep doing it, right?)

5. Purchasing manga / light novels (ain't a proper hobby but I just realize this lately)

6. Eating, sleeping, and daydreaming.

Writing has always been my passion, and I won't mind to let someone else reading my fiction, as long as I'm not around him/her at the moment.

Favourite anime? There's no favouritism in my collection, but apparently these are some of anime that I always have recollection when I ain't busy. Plus, these are the earliest anime I've watched when I wasn young.

1. Digimon (Adventure, 02, Tamers, Frontier, Tri)

Mainly because the Digimons are cute. I like Patamon the best. Other than the Digimons, I love the siblings Ishida Yamato and Takaishi Takeru, and the twins Kimura Kouichi and Minamoto Kouji.

2. Code Geass

The first psychology anime, watched when I was 13. The anime is quite heavy to me, but then I began to understand better when I re-watched years later. "All hail Lelouch!"

3. Yakitate Japan

The first food anime. It basically about bread and how to make it. Azuma Kazuma is a gifted bread maker and wants to commercialize his own bread, but he doesn't know all those creations are actually existing in the first place.

4. Kimi to Boku

The first slice-of-life anime. Five best friends always spend time together. They laugh, quarrel, and even cry together. I love their friendship the most.

5. Tegami Bachi

Not the first fantasy anime, but this is the first anime which successfully made me cry. I watched this for the first time when I was 15. The melancholic killed, I must say.

6. Katekyo Hitman Reborn

The first action anime. I began watching this around 11 years ago. I like everything about this anime, even the character designs and plot. I couldn't find its weakness.

I'm more into shonen, mystery, thriller, horror or slice of life (this contradicts the others, yes I know) genres. Romantic and harem aren't my types, unless I accidentally began watching its first episode and got entangled to it.

Other than writing fan fictions, I will update this Tumblr about the anime that I've watched. I rarely rate an anime below 5 (you can observe my rating in my MAL account). I will usually find any likeable elements in anime I watch, therefore I will always rate them high. But I still have a few dropped anime. Not sure what the reason is.

Our Interview With The Dev Team Below The Cut!

Introduce yourself! Macdev: Greetings and salutations. I'm Mac, writer, artist, and programmer for Cadeau, as well as the founder of Halfworld. I've loved Rpg games since I was about 10, and have been creating them since! Bruno: My name is Bruno and I'm the music composer. I got into game music approx 2 years ago and I've currently made music for a couple of games and other projects, and Cadeau was the first one of them. Aidan: I'm Aidan/kanteramcneil on Tumblr! I'm one of the voice actors, and I'm super excited to be able to follow Cadeau's progress! I've been in the RpgMaker community for a few years now and I adore being able to watch all the devs progress and grow Rindre: Hi I'm Rin! Currently, I'm on an indefinite hiatus, but Big Mac managed to catch me, chain me up to a chair, and make me say stuff about myself against my will. So... I make games, I guess. - Note from macdev: Erm, not true? These accusations are SLANDER and I will not stand for it. WariA: Hello! I’m WaraiA, one of the voice actors of Cadeau — A pleasure to meet you! I will be voicing the oh so mysterious ‘Your Admirer’, so please look forward to listening to my antics ☆〜（ゝ。∂） I am a Japanese/Chinese Australian born citizen, with a tendency to speak in an American accent. Any pronouns are fine for me My most notable role so far has been Harpae from Pocket Mirror, so some of you may be familiar with my voice already! Nothing much has changed — I enjoy cosplaying, role playing, drawing every once in a blue moon, Final Fantasy XIV, and most importantly, catboys (Nael, I’m coming for you, boy) As ‘Your Admirer’ is a rather elusive character, I cannot disclose much. But I do suggest always keeping one eye open throughout your journey

What is your project about? What inspired you to create your game initially? *Macdev: Cadeau is a game about a troubled young woman named Charlotte Émile-- who is a "tomboyish" and bold individual who has been unfortunately presented loneliness by a series of disastrous events. After giving up on companionship, she miraculously receives an affectionate letter from a mysterious person aliased as her "Admirer". This "Admirer" character beckons poor Charlotte to visit them at a mysterious well in the woods, and to come armed with nothing but a strange golden coin. From there, madness ensues. Our protagonist must learn of her past and the events that lead to her misfortune, all while becoming entangled in a family drama rooted in witchcraft, raging years before her unexpected arrival. It is a story about self-love, friendship, acceptance, magic, and all that corny-ness. Sounds fun, right? My initial inspiration was The Witches House. The game was originally meant to be simple, and maybe an hour or 45 minutes long. A simple story, and a straightforward 2-ending path.... How have we managed to get here from that?

How long did you work on your project? *Macdev: Two years, I believe! Its anniversary is April 8th. In the beginning, it was very off and on-- because I was having a difficult time with school and-- as I mention-- organization. So not a whole lot of progress was made then. I'm proud to say I've been chugging quite a bit faster than my previous pace!

Did any other games or media influence aspects of your project? *Macdev: My inspiration would probably lie in Harry Potter/Fantastic Beasts, and Alice returns to madness. As for RPG games? The Witch's House, Havenfell, and Pocket Mirror. As well as many other beautiful artists and creators in the video game community. Overall, my biggest inspiration for this game has got to be the stop-motion movie: Coraline. I even reference the movie once or twice in Cadeau. The tone of Coraline, and the whimsical yet eerie people and creatures within it give me inspiration for this game. It was very much a favorite of mine when I was younger, and that still applies today!

Have you come across any challenges during development? How have you overcome or worked around them? *Macdev: The biggest problem I've run into has been a lack of structure. In the beginning, I hadn't even written out the story halfway. I was just pulling ideas from thin air, going back and forth, and deleting entire concepts-- only to bring them back and re-arrange them as I went. Characters weren't fully dished out; the game didn't even have an ending. This state of creating is fine, but not when you have other people expecting things from you. Thankfully, things are sailing much MUCH smoother than before.

Did any aspects of your project change over time? How does your current project differ from your initial concept? *Macdev: It's absolutely taken a turn from what it was originally! As I say, it was meant to be an extremely short game in the beginning, and now obviously that’s not the case. The goal for Cadeau now is: around 2-3 hours long in playtime, and full of many diverse character types! As well as a storyline that extends far more than face value. Which is in high contrast to the basic, short, immemorable experience that it was going to be.

What was your team like at the beginning? How did people join the team? If you don’t have a team, do you wish you had one or do you prefer working alone? *Macdev: I do have a wonderful, beautiful, talented team working with me on Cadeau. - A composer! (Bruno Buglisi), - As well as voice actors! (WariA as Allete, Aiden/kanteramcneil as The Botanist, and Rindre (who I have definitely not kidnapped...) as The Maiden) I met everyone in the team through volunteer posts-- and I had never done that before-- but it worked very surprisingly well! We worked very quickly together, and we had a very mutual understanding of what each other wanted. It feels good to know I have such talented people helping this game come to fruition. I owe a whole lot to them for helping the game become what it is now.

What was the best part of developing the game? Macdev: Being able to make the world in your head interactable, for sure. Since I was 8, maybe even younger, I have loved writing stories and making art. Webcomics were my main thing as a kid, so story-telling is something I’ve always loved. So, the fact that I can turn my ideas into something someone can experience and interact with is a wonderful feeling. There's nothing more fulfilling, honestly!

Do you find yourself playing other RPG Maker games to see what you can do with the engine, or do you prefer to do your own thing? *Macdev: Very often, actually! I try not to ride too close to the material I see in other games, but I do gain lots of inspiration from my fellow creators! One thing I am laser-focused on, though, is making Cadeau quite unique content-wise. I want it to have very interesting, uncommon puzzles and mechanics that you may not expect from this type of game-- or one of this engine. So far, I think I've achieved this-- so look out for that!

Which character in your game do you relate to the most and why? (Alternatively: Who is your favorite character and why?) *Macdev: My favorite character has got to be The Botanist. At the beginning of the game he has no dialogue, yet still presents such a strong personality. They are kind, thoughtful, and absolutely adorable. Look at that foofy hair! I'm a sucker for it. Their character arc is something I'm excited for. It's been a blast writing it so far-- and I won’t spoil anything-- but you guys will love him. I'm sure of it. Now if we're talking character design, Naël has got to be my favorite. He recently received a “tune-up,” as I would like to call it, and I think everything works together very cohesively in his design now. It's probably one of my favorites out of all of them, at this point.

Looking back now, is there anything that regret/wish you had done differently? *Macdev: Thankfully, things worked out perfectly-- and the universe blessed me with a wonderful team in the end-- but it was very stressful once I realized I had asked for help way too early. I essentially made a single map, and a little character sheet-- then asked for a whole team to help me out. As I said, it luckily worked out in the end. Now we have so many amazing people helping us-- but we also lost a few in the madness-- and that's a mistake on my part, 100%. If you don't know what you want, it's hard to ask for help. It will lead to confusion, lots of back and forth, frustration, etc... Just wait until your way further in development. Trust me. I know it’s easy to jump the gun and shoot for the stars, but sometimes it won’t work out as well as it has for the Cadeau team!

Do you plan to explore the game’s universe and characters further in subsequent projects, or leave it as-is? *Macdev: I won't say as of now! The idea of a sequel/prequel has floated around, but if it does come to fruition, it won't be until way after the release of Cadeau. We'll just have to see. (This isn’t to say I’m not hopeful!)

With your current project, what do you look most forward to upon/after release? *Macdev: I have so many amazing project ideas lined up for after the release of Cadeau. I won’t spill too much, so they'll be more of a surprise-- but they range from classic, adventure-themed true RPG's-- to 3D teenage-thrillers. I'm honestly stoked, there's so much in store for Halfworld.

Is there something you’re afraid of concerning the development or the release of your game? *Macdev: I think my biggest fear is letting people down. Also, I worry about losing interest or having people form the idea that the game is never going to be completed. It’s just going to take some time, is all, and that’s okay!

Do you have any advice for upcoming devs? *Macdev: I already mentioned above not to jump the gun and ask for help too early, so some more advice I'll give: is to keep all your material, all your ideas, and all your concepts in one concise place. I would say do it digitally from the get-go, but if you would prefer to write it down physically that's fine! Just make sure it's only one or 2 notebooks, and not 13. The information for Cadeau is spread throughout my hideous mound of notebooks, as I get up during ungodly hours of the night to scrawl a sudden idea down. So, I'm currently in the process of moving them to one digital spot-- and while it's generally easy-- I would have been able to avoid it if I had just put everything in one spot in the beginning. Oh, and back up your progress regularly! I have separate backups of Cadeau from months in 2 different years, and in 4 different places. So, I take backups very seriously—and so should you!

Question from last month's featured dev @atlasatrium: What's your favorite RPG Maker game and why? *Aidan: I love End roll, Ib, OFF, Prom Dreams, From Next Door, and Aria's Story! Bruno: Mm, definitely Long Gone Days (though it’s not being made on rpgmaker now) Midnight Train, Heartbeat and Glitched! WariA: I don't really have any :0 the devs I've worked with so far have all been really sweet (´꒳`);; Macdev: This is a tough question! I have a lot of favorites. Probably Stray Cat Crossing overall, but I also love Home and Starboy. Starboy brings a lot of memories, and Stray Cat Crossing was what inspired me to start making games! Oh, and Home is just very cute.

Okay I am making this a thing because it makes me happy. Today I am going to celebrate something I have relied on for so many years and rarely see acknowledged. The fan who writes episode and movie summaries with spoilers. Thank you! Thank you so very much!

In a perfect world, I would have time and bandwidth to watch everything I love. I don’t. That’s where you come in, wonderful people who give a good blow by blow summary I can skim over. Your hard work and generous devotion of time allows me to keep up and participate in my favorite fandoms with my scarce free time. I would love to read that book/watch that episode/see that movie so I might continue to look at fan art or watch vids or read a current fic and understand what’s going on, but I don’t always have the time or spoons.

Your work allows this; it allows me to dive in after I need to take a break. Without you, I might see how much work it takes to catch up in an active fandom and just… give up and be sad and feel left out. Instead, I read your summary and jump right in with both feet. Do not underestimate how good you are and helping me and other fans escape a slump or brighten a rough time. You are so wanted and loved in my fandoms.

Today for fandom celebration, I have decided to talk about long, epic fic writers. Thank you!!!Nearly every fandom has at least one; some have hundreds! What amazing skill it takes to plot and tie together threads! How kind you are to share your story with us, to juggle other commitments with this free labor of love you have with your fandom! I am in awe of your commitment to the end, even when it’s taken a full on decade to finish your story!

I, as a voracious but slow reader, love nothing more than to snuggle up in the corner of my sofa on a lazy day with my tablet and a blanket and my cat and perhaps a little snack. I LOVE to dig into an adventure or romance or thriller about my favorite fandom characters in ways their canon sources might not ever allow, and know I will be sucked into their world for a good while, a day, a week, sometimes nearly a month for some authors who have shared multiple novel length fics in the same storyline.

- ADAPTATION

Sarah Paulson is my top choice, yet this film isn’t her best. I trusted that months for this will come out and I’m left asking why I was so energized. The trailer parted with everything. You knew the entire story before it even began. There was practically zero character improvement and everything just felt like it was 0–100 with no pacing at all. Likewise, the cosmetics office for Sarah’s last look-the hellfire would you say you were folks on when you thought of this? I really snickered when I saw her. It was an alright film. One that you’d be pissed on the off chance that you burned through cash on. Nothing new, normal, worn out acting. Additionally, no one realizes the proper behavior an asthma assault. This film had so many plot openings that it seemed like a parody. The mother can simply take an infant from the clinic? She harms her little girl for quite a long time and no specialist actually sees this during her regular visits? How did she manage the postal carrier’s vehicle? No one minded the postal carrier was absent? For what reason did the girl never get one of the numerous sharp or gruff articles around her and hit her mother? The mother leaves all her significant reports in a container sitting out and marked? For what reason would she tie up her girl’s wheel seat and not her girl? This is the means by which the entire film goes. The main redeemable nature of the film was Sarah Paulson’s very frightening acting. Likewise, this story has been done so often. I would not burn through my time watching this. Run is unsurprising and not extraordinary. The acting is phenomenal, while the story is fair. The story makes a magnificent showing of being exciting, yet it chiefly doesn’t go anyplace. I knew all that planned to happen despite the fact that I knew nothing. Nonetheless, There was one scene I appreciated where Clare says, “you need me.” The acting was only exceptional in that particular scene. In general, it’s a one time watch that you’ll most likely fail to remember.
