My hottest White Lotus take is that i don’t think anything happened between Harper and Cameron. Harper lied about something happening to make Ethan feel as crazy and paranoid as she did when he refused to come clean about the hookers and drugs. Either way, it ends with them in the same fucked up mind games as Daphne and Cameron, but I was genuinely shocked Harper didn’t dangle the possibility in Ethan’s face, forcing him to either admit or hide his affair with Daphne and putting them back on the same metaphorical playing field.

In today's "all the ways Levi makes Gortash's life insufferable":
Levi is beautiful, charming and sleeps around a lot. And he has no morals or shame.
So...
Levi would flirt with banites. And while most would hate this arrogant asshole, some would be charmed by him because he has that effect on people. You either love him or hate him, but it's hardly possible to stay indifferent.
What to say, I def see a picture of some banite being swoon by Levi, Gortash catching up on it, being extremely annoyed (for some reason. Just some reason. No one knows why, truly. A mystery!) and teaching his subordinate a lesson.
Said lesson would include Gortash fucking very willing Levi in front of said banite while the poor guy can only watch and is not allowed to even move.
Bonus point if at the height of ecstasy Levi murmurs "Enver, can I?" in this sweet pleading voice of his, and so Gortash allows him to kill his subordinate. Because the lesson and all the sex made Levi very, very thirsty for some blood. And maybe, just maybe, because the lesson is not enough, nothing would be enough, this guy needs to die and to die in pain.

Creative Goals for 2024.
Posting this here to force some accountability to myself. I hate new years resolutions, and I have no end of trouble with long-term goals setting. Nevertheless, I want to take the time this year to actually ENJOY creativity.
Finish a Novel
Actually mix

(before the post starts: to everyone who follows me for stranger things i’m sorry you have to deal with my random adventures into other fandoms — this is for the marauders fandom so if you don’t care about that feel free to scroll 💞 and also as always fuck jkr)
me: this fic is going to be so fucking full of angst and jealousy and toxicity with rosekiller endgame
also me:
It’s silent for a moment— Barty convinced the Gryffindor’s eyes could bore into his soul if he let him stare long enough. “You’ve never needed to simply feel something, Potter?”
-
[Barty] lowered his voice, a hand almost absently reaching up to the other boy’s face. His middle finger ran down his jawline. “What does [Regulus] see in you?”
“What-?”
“He’s never looked at me the way he looks at you. What are you doing that I wasn’t?”
-
“I can move. Do you want-“
“No, stay.” James laid back down. It was dark, but Barty reached up anyway. His hand started in James’ hair then ran down to his cheek. His middle finger traced his jaw again— like it had that night on the tower. “I can see what he sees in you now.”
me in some tags AFTER i wrote the stuff above:
BRO OPEN YOUR FUCKING EYES YOU SHIP IT AND THIS IS HAPPENING

Howdy Caroline, I saw a post about Talk shop Tuesday so I thought I'd be nosy on main. I wonder, how does research factor into your fic writing, and what was the most taxing research you had to do for a fic? 🐸
oooh hi, iva!!! thank you so much for shooting the ask--god knows i always love talking about fic!
to answer your question: i think most of my fic-related research is limited to "what episode did character x do this/say that", just so that i have the timeline of events down. i know it's not the end of the world if i don't perfectly remember how a certain scene went down, but i can't help it--i like being precise when it comes to at least recalling canon events.
outside of that specific brand of research (just making sure my timeline/recitation of quotes is all set), i'll sometimes do wilder research for like ... au projects that are set in a different time. that doesn't happen often (i think the reason why i tend not to write au's that are set other than present day is specifically because i get overwhelmed by the amount of research to be done), but when it does, i'm usually stuck researching for hours. that's probably why i just never got around to posting this one period jwds au i have. the plot keeps shifting, mostly to suit the research that i've done. deep sigh. one day i swear i'll finish writing that story and post it, but right now it's just gotten a little away from me. it's marinating.
outside of that story though, i think i've been lucky enough to not need to do too much research for fics . . . maybe that'll change one day (especially if i ever fall in love with a more period-drama-esque story), but ! ! ! as of now, i think my research time really only takes up 10 - 15% of my fic writing process.

My Hot-Take/Controversial Ranking of Doctor Who Seasons (excluding specials bc my special order is really unhinged)
3 > 1 > 10 > 4 > 5 > 8 > 11 > 12 > 9 > 7b > 2 > 6 > 13 = 7a
Disclaimer: I have favorite episodes that come from every single season on this list, including 7a. For example, even though Season 6 is low on the list, the God Complex, Almost People/Rebel Flesh, and Impossible Astronaut are some of my favorite of the show. I do really love the Power of Three. These are based on season arc/average feeling per episode/rewatchability on a subjective level.
