This is my first blog about occultism and everything related to it. I just thought maybe I could have some knowledge to share with you. But who am I to share knowledge?

I started to work with witchcraft few months ago, but before that I had already done a lot of research about different deities, conspiracy theories, supernatural beings etc. I am that kind of a person who wants to know everything so it’s natural for me to walk into the library and pick as many books as I can and while I read them, I judge them too. I don’t suck it all in as it was the absolute truth. That’s the beauty of witchcraft. It’s all about you, what feels right for you. If crystals aren’t your thing, that’s fine. Just be yourself, listen to yourself and vibe with the rest of us.

I have always felt close to darkness. I found dark places more comforting than places with lights, I have always found dark subjects interesting and black is my lucky color. I knew pretty early that I wanted to work with Hades, the greek god of the underworld and it goes better than well. You’ll discover more about it on later posts. I have started to search my ancestries, cause I’m positively sure I am from witch family. I am from Finland, where witchcraft has always been part of everyday life and when witchhunters ran in other parts of Europe, Finland didn’t have them. We only had few witches burned back in the days. Even russians have been scared of us because of our magic. But I’ll make a post about this later too, when I know more about my family. My mother believes in tarot etc. and has a lot of belief in magick.

I want my blog to be safe space for all, share my knowledge and keep it as a little society, so my possibly illegal and immoral tips won’t find their ways into wrong hands.

Witchcraft 101:

Cleansing vs Uncrossing vs Banishing

Alright witches. Lets dive into some witchy basics and discuss the differences between cleansing, uncrossing and banishing. This will hopefully help you differentiate between them. But.. lets be honestly if you do something like call a spell an uncrossing when "technically" doing a banishing, who cares its all in good spirit. The reason i think its good to have a difference in mind between these falls into how you handle a spell. If I'm doing an uncrossing vs a banishing i would choose different spell ingredients, maybe work with different gods, or choose a different element to work with.

Cleansing: I consider cleansings as the foundation and most basic of these. Its almost an umbrella term the other two fall under. All banishings are cleansings, but not all cleansings are a banishing. Cleansings are when you're trying clear something away. Most often people will use this term in day to day workings and general upkeep to make sure nothing has stuck to them. This would include more casual things like smoke cleansing, showering and asking the water to cleanse you, sound cleansing, etc. Its not a full spellworking or ritual, but still done with energy and intention. Sometimes you may do a cleansing and realize whatever is there, is stuck deeper then you expected. So you take the next steps and do a more "intense" cleansing like an uncrossing or banishing.

Uncrossing Spells: Uncrossing specifically refers to removing unwanted energy. Usually when discussing what is an uncrossing, I sperate it from just a cleansing by describing it as a very intense cleansing where you're trying to strip away intense and specific energy. These are more work and a step up from an everyday cleansing for more intense scenarios. This is very spirit focused; think of it as taking out the bad and putting in the good. Some types of spells I would consider an uncrossing are: removing hexes/jinx/curses, removing the evil eye, spiritual detoxes, road openers, removing any stubborn energy, removing feelings, etc. I associate uncrossings with water: it's soaking in and getting that energy out. I would choose herbs/spell ingredients that are uplifting and purifying. Think salt, rosemary, rue, and lemons.

Banishing Spells: Banishing spells remove unwanted entities, spirits or people. You can use it to get rid of very deep rooted things like habits or insecurities. Banishings are quite a strong forms of spellwork. You're really kicking something out and away from you when you do a banishing. Its connected to more deep rooted things that you're trying to remove from your life. Some types of spells I could consider a banishing: cord cutting, exorcisms, banishing a spirit attached to you, getting rid of insecurities, freezers, etc. I associate banishings with fire. Burn and gtfo. I would choose herbs that have more of a kick to them and are defensive. Think nettle, blackberry leaves, cloves, even pepper in some cases.

Please note this doesn't have to be something strict. Like i said at the beginning this is just a guide that will help you differentiate so you can tackle the spellwork as effectively as possible.

Idk if this has been done yet, if so please tell me, but lately I've been toying around with medieval aus combined with my good old Witch!Reader au...So how do you guys would feel about Reader who is a very high ranked court magician? I'm talking like she's basically the Queen's right hand when it comes to all kinds of magical and supernatural affairs but the thing is, while obviously incredibly clever and wise, she still is quite young (early 20's) and very spoilt, all about the luxury life, lush furs and revealing dresses, rare jewelry from around the world and is quite the temptress; running around in dresses that leave little to the imagination, flirts with guards and eats up all the attention she's given :((

Imagine the CoD men, all in different positions, pine after the beauty even if she's spoilt, a little naive due to how sheltered she was outside of magical and court affairs and her being a little whiny and bratty when she was once send out to a military fort to sort out a magic anomaly and when she was shown her chamber which, to no surprise, was a huge downgrade from her large, luxurios palace chamber, was whining to Knight Commander Simon 'Ghost' Riley about 'this thing looking like a dungeon and where she was supposed to put all her things', all he could think of was about what he wouldn't do to put you in his lap and spank your ass raw :((

Or or nasty pervy mercenary-turned-guard John 'Soap' MacTavish whom you oh so much despise :(( But no one can blame you!! He's so damn huge and burly and beastly, you have no idea where your Queen even got someone so barbaric!! His accent is weird, his hairstyle is weird, even his clothes and armor! He's so loud and boisterous and has not a single gentle or elegant bone in his huge body >:(

You often catch Johnny leering at you, whistling or making crude comments which leave you angry and flustered but he doesn't do anything about it and just laughs!! Tells you to be quiet and now yowl like a cat in heat!! Is he insane!?

The worst is whenever you bathe in a lake or even a bathtub whenever you can get one and he's always there and perving on you, not even trying to hide his nasty gaze and smirk :(( While usually you'd tease the handsome guards back in the palace and preen at the attention, now it's the opposite! You can scream and curse at him, telling you'll cut his balls off in his sleep and make a sacrifice off of them and Johnny's only reply is that 'he hopes it will be to some smokin' hit fertility goddess so she can grow his balls back to stuff you full' >:(
