okay so while im under the impression of just binging severance for 9 consecutive hours... i find the whole cult aspect of the eagan family/lumen so interesting.

like ms cobel over there has a literal SHRINE dedicated to the founder of the eagan family and lives and breathes the words of that guy

then we have the INNIES that cling onto the 'teachings' of old man eagan as if its religion. most notably irving, who not only knows the rulebooks by heart but also the meanings behind the paintings that they rotate around like okay dude. or when helly said 'jesus' when they entered the perpetuity room and irving saying that 'its not jesus, its eagan <3' actually EQUATING him to jesus like oughhhh

also speaking of the rulebooks. the ones that are big and shelved under old man eagans portrait. theyre printed on the thin bible paper. the text is divided in bible-like columns. and they use the font commonly used in bibles. like it gives off kind of offshoot christian cult vibes indeed

and then we have the eagan lineage itself. helenas father made her recite the 9 principles or whatever over and over and whatnot like i can imagine how that family works on an even more cult like level than the rest of the 'followers' i mean employees.
