#how to store thick yogurt

this might be tmi but i can’t stop thinking about how i met a girl across the country after meeting her online. that was the first time i was incredibly speechless and let my shyness take the best of me. i wanted to be so cool in front of her and i kept being a clumsy shit. she ended up saying it was cute because i kept laughing and saying sorry at the stupidest stuff. i got so worked up and all she did was talk… she was talking about yogurt and how she liked to put almonds in it and i was standing in the grocery store wanting to fuck her right in the isle. each time i looked in her eyes, she’d squeak and try to look away but i held her chin and made her look at me and the way she got so flustered made my stomach drop in the depths of hell… each time she kissed me, i felt like a pervert because id get turned on from one peck and she’d do it on purpose knowing how much i loved kissing. when we lay in bed, she was sitting on my lap, she complimented my happy trail, my thighs and my tired voice (cause it croaks often and it’s already naturally deep). we talked about life but she’d bounce every so often and id buck my hips up and she’d act so clueless even though she knew what she was doing, saying, “your hips are excited.” i remember saying fuck you and i don’t remember what else but she laughed. it ended up being more prominent, now grinding against each other and i felt up her shirt, feeling her breasts and they were so cute. she’s insecure about them because they were small but i gave them kisses and sucks and looked at her and she still couldn’t keep eye contact so i just told her look at me and she did but whenever she didn’t i held her face… i got so wet it went through my shorts (and the fabric was so fucking thick dude…) and she was incredibly flustered by that, saying “oh my god” over and over as she ran her hand up and down to feel it. we ended up tribbing and i can’t tell you how fast i came… but even still i did not stop, eating her out and marking her body and it ended up being 4 in the morning until we finally slept (keep in mind we started at 12… it had LOTS of foreplay so…)
it was so good but simple yet i can’t stop thinking about it… it was literally three months ago.

Baby | Hawk Moskowitz x Teen Mom!Reader
Chubby!Reader - Blurb - based off of this POST
I'm still uncertain about writing Johnny, so I hope this is alright. @sensei-venus <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was an average day for Johnny; wake up, eat breakfast, teach karate, then buy groceries before going home. It wasn't supposed to be a long trip, just getting the essentials and something for the night, including a pack of Coors. He planned to be in and out of the store in five minutes. However, the last thing he expected to find inside was his student who had ditched class that day.
Hawk was a great student; he took every lesson and perfected it flawlessly. He was a great fighter, a champion even. Before that, he was a nerd, a rule follower, a nice kid, and some part of that old Hawk still lived somewhere inside of him. So it wasn't within his character to suddenly miss training for any reason.
So when Johnny saw the tall mohawk down an aisle, he wanted to know what was up. But someone blocked his path and the kid was gone before he could walk up to him. He looked for him for a little bit but it was as if he disappeared into thin air. He gave up after just a couple of minutes so he could go home and started making his way to the coolers, telling himself he'd deal with Hawk tomorrow - tear into him for missing an important lesson.
As he walked through the aisles, a child started crying and Johnny rolled his eyes. He asked himself why people brought kids to places like the grocery store when they and everyone else weren't going to enjoy it. The crying grated on his ears and he thought it was about time he got out of there.
The beer coolers were only a few feet away from the dairy section and by the time he got there, the crying had stopped. As he made his way to the Coors section, he heard a familiar voice carry over the aisle. However, it was strange and like he'd never heard it before; bubbly and kid-like.
"What do you think she'll like, this one?" the voice asked in a baby-ish tone. "I think so."
Johnny couldn't help but peek around the corner to see what was going on. He was flabbergasted to see Hawk - the most recent ATV champion and one of the toughest kids he knew - holding a chubby baby on his hip as he looked at yogurt. The baby held onto his shirt collar while chewing on her other hand with her gums. Hawk put whatever kind of yogurt he'd picked out into a shopping cart and smiled at the baby.
"Mission accomplished," he said, as if the baby understood him. She laughed anyway.
Hawk turned and took the shopping cart with one hand, holding the baby girl on his hip. He carried on down the aisle, turning the corner.
"What the Hell?" Johnny asked himself.
He couldn't help following behind, momentarily forgetting his beer. When he reached the end of the aisle, he peeked around the corner to see where Hawk had gone with the baby, seeing them looking at a little display of toy cars. The bubbly baby girl reached out and tried to grab one of the packaged toys, to which Hawk grabbed it and handed it to her.
"You want this one? I'm sure Mama won't mind if you get one," he said. She squealed happily, shaking the toy in the air with a tight grip. He nodded along as if agreeing with her happy screams. "Yeah, that's lots of fun, isn't it?"
He set her down in the shopping cart now that she had something to entertain herself with. Not two seconds later, a girl around his age came up to the cart and placed some cereal boxes inside. Then she smiled at the baby and Hawk before giving him a kiss on the cheek. He put his arm around her thick waist and pulled her into his side, returning the kiss on the cheek. Johnny could just barely see the baby between them, but she watched them with big, enamored eyes.
It was at that moment that Johnny realized that the baby looked like the girl and that she was the girl's mother. And if that was the baby's "Mama", did that mean Hawk was the baby's father? How the Hell did that happen?
When did that happen?
How had he kept all of this to himself?
As the couple moved on through the store, Johnny had seen enough and ducted back between the shelves. He slowly moved himself back to the beer coolers, body on autopilot as he took a deep dive into what he had just witnessed. He grabbed his Coors and then carried himself to the checkout line. He hated self-checkout and wished someone would come around to do this for him as he scanned barcodes whilst he tried to piece together how Hawk of all people had had a baby with someone, gone to school, gone to karate practice, and won the All Valley. It was mind-boggling to him.
Tumblr media
It was another day of training. Everyone was going through their stretches to start the day off right. Everyone except for Hawk, who wasn't there at all. It was another day of training without Hawk.
Johnny was a little peeved until he remembered what he had witnessed. But instead of letting it be, he walked over to Hawk's closest friends while they were stretching and chatting about whatever.
"Hey, did any of you know Hawk has a kid?" he asked. Not even a hello.
"What?!" "-are you talking about?" "Are you drunk?"
He glared as they all talked over each other, not appreciating their attitudes and questions. Though it answered his. "Oookay. So none of you knew about that?"
"What are you even talking about?" Miguel asked, giving him a questionable look. If anyone were going to know about a Baby Hawk, it was going to be him and Demetri first and foremost. "Hawk doesn't have a kid."
"Affirmative," Demetri said.
"I saw him just yesterday with a kid on him, talking all that baby talk crap," Johnny said. He crossed his arms over his chest, firm in his belief given what he'd seen. "His girlfriend even looks like she popped a kid out, ya know. All wide and still has the baby fat."
Sam's jaw dropped. "That's no way to talk about Hawk's girlfriend-"
"That we have no idea about," Robby interjected.
"That's just rude," Sam finished.
Johnny looked at her weirdly. "What? She isn't here?"
"That doesn't matter," Miguel clarified, then quickly moved on to the next - and more pressing - topic of conversation. "Hawk has a girlfriend?"
"Yeah, and a baby," Johnny said, becoming tired of running in these circles. He'd said what he said, told them the truth. Why wasn't that enough for them? "I saw what I saw, man. Hawk is with this... chubby" he cut a look at Sam and she didn't look totally annoyed by him, "chick, and they were all over each other and they had that baby. The baby looked just like her too."
"That doesn't necessarily mean that's her baby," Tory said, rolling her eyes and walking away. "This is literally too dumb for me to keep listening to."
"Yeah, maybe that's her sibling or something," Miguel suggested. He looked at Johnny. "Are you sure you're not jumping to any conclusions?"
"No way," Johnny told him. He racked his brain to make sure he hadn't overlooked anything, only to remember the cutesy talk between Hawk and his girlfriend that he'd overheard. "He called her 'hot mama' and shit like that, so I'm sure. I know it. That's his little family or whatever."
Demetri was unconvinced. "Not possible. If I was an uncle. I'd know it."
Sam crossed her arms over her chest, shaking her head. "I don't know. Hawk has been pretty secretive lately."
"And he's missing a lot of training without telling us why," Robby added.
"But before all of that started, everything was normal," Miguel said. He was also unconvinced, sure that his best friend would tell him about something so life-changing. "If he got someone pregnant, he'd wanna be there with her. Nine months and then some is a long time to even hide something like that, ya know?"
The group of teens stood divided and Johnny was proud of it for some reason. He was just happy to be right, leaving the teens to mull over the situation he had brought to them, sure of himself that he'd made the right call. They were ready to text Hawk and ask questions but before one of them could retrieve their phone, Daniel came out and started the class by calling everyone together.
It was a strange day after that. No one could focus, their thoughts all on Hawk and the unknown girlfriend and baby Johnny have brought their attention too. Except for Tory, who didn't let it bother her because, as she said, it was too dumb to pay attention to.

Subscription Gainer
Gainer Jungkook has a subscription to a weight-loss tips magazine... just so he can do everything they suggest in reverse. He gets so excited every month to get his new book of health tips, food trends, and learn what dietitians say you shouldn't eat... which means Jungkook tries it.
Jungkook happily flips through it across the next few weeks to pick up things that keep his gaining-lifestyle exciting.
"Oh... laying down after eating increases belly fat?" Jungkook moves from sitting to reclining on his couch after chowing down on Chinese takeout, a hand resting on his full belly as he smiles down at it. "You fatten up for me, okay?" He pats his gut and belches, rubbing in bliss.
"Dairy is one of the top foods on the list of 'what wrecks your metabolism'. They say to cut out milk... it's bad for your thighs and waistline." Jungkook puts four big gallons of whole milk in his cart at the grocery store, fully intending on having a thick glass with every meal. He gets blocks of cheese, tubs of yogurt, and a carton of heavy whipping cream just to top it off, humming contently as someone peeks over at his peculiar purchases.
"Someone who drinks 1 to 2 cans of soda a day will expand their waist line five times faster than someone who doesn't..." Jungkook pants as he reads that one. "Thankfully I've got that covered." He takes another swig from his two-liter jug of coke and flips to the next page about combating a sedentary lifestyle, and kicks up his feet.
"Using a smaller plate will make you think that you're eating more, because your plate looks fuller. Limit yourself to only one portion. Oh that'll be fun-" Jungkook piles up food on a massive platter that he serves guests with on holidays and uses it as a plate for himself. He loads it up with a mountain of mashed potatoes, fried chicken, cornbread, and creamy mac n cheese. "It's still only one portion..." He giggles as he sets the feast in his lap and begins to dig in.
"Low-fat foods are loaded with sugar and can actually make you gain weight..." Jungkook frowns as he warily picks up low-fat mayonnaise off the shelf, feeling like he's betraying himself. "I'm putting all of my faith in you, dietitians. If you deprive me of the deliciousness of full-fat mayo-" He turns over the two bottles to compare the nutrition facts and his eyebrows shoot up. Three times more sugar. Jungkook whips out his phone, googling if sugar or fat is worse for weight gain. He grins as he drops the low-fat option into his basket and happily pads away, his tummy warm with the promise of extra poundage.
"Cut out fast food." Jungkook racks up points in his delivery app. The numbers on his scale climb up just as quickly.
"Choose foods that keep you full for longer. Sugar makes you hungry. Stay away from sugary foods late at night." Jungkook drags his carton of ice cream out of the freezer at 1 am, licking his lips as he pops it open. "Sugar and cream. Delicious and so fattening. I love you, ice-cream. Marry me." He groans around his spoon.
"All it takes is a surplus of 200-500 calories a day to see quick results of gaining fat." Jungkook's mouth waters, and his hands come up to slowly squeeze and knead at his flab as he reads aloud. "If you eat an extra 500 calories a day- a few oreos or dessert- it will take 6 days to gain 1 pound of fat." Jungkook groans, greedily grabbing the heavy pooling of blubber resting in his lap that he is growing. He shakes it, wanting to drool as his entire body responds in wobbles. "And how fat will you get by overeating constantly, huh? How fat will I get from one stuffing?" He asks his magazine as his gut growls just at the thought of being stuffed and fattened. Jungkook reaches for his takeout delivery app, cashing in his hard earned reward points as he imagines the hearty feast filling his greedy gut.
Oh, how the dietitians that work so hard to research and make this health magazine would scream if they could see how Jungkook uses it like a holy bible of ways to get even fatter.

Vegan/Vegetarian shopping list:
Pre Made salad bags (it’s a lot cheaper to just buy bagged salad and add to it, then buying a bunch of ingredients that will go bad if not used)
Make a list of fruits and vegetables that you like and get them (some times if you get the funky shaped ones you get a few cents off, even if you don’t that stops the funky shaped produce from being tossed)
Nut butters (most almond and peanut butters are vegan, jelly and Jams aren’t because they’re made with gelatin)
Bread, check the ingredients because a lot of breads are accidentally vegan/vegetarian ( Vegetarian/Vegan (link) Sandwiches will be your best friend)
Pasta (like bread a lot of pasta is accidentally vegan, CHECK THE INGREDIENTS)
Rice and beans are some of the cheapest things to buy, buy them dry and you can have them for a while in your pantry
Google vegan ramen, (if you’re like me and love spicy ramen then you’ll be happy to know Samyang 2x spicy hot chicken flavor Ramen in the red pack is VEGAN they use artificial chicken flavor rather then animal products. Vegan Kimchi regular and spicy is a lot easier to find then you may think just look for ones without fish sauce and shrimp)
Tofu (tofu is very versatile and it’s great source of vegan/vegetarian protein made from soy, it takes flavor beautifully and it’s relatively cheap firm/extra firm is best)
Cheese (there are so many vegan cheese options, for grated parmigiana follow your heart has both grated and shredded, Violife has a block. Violife has the best shredded substitutes, and singles. Daiya is a little weird in my opinion however they’re cheddar dairy free Mac and cheese is amazing (you just gotta use different pasta then it comes with)
Meat substitutes ( We’ve come a long way with decent vegan meat substitutes, beyond meat makes a whole variety of plant based meat substitutes that are very tasty especially if you’re still craving that meaty texture. Impossible meat substitutes also has amazing plant based meat substitutes, Impossible also has vegan chicken nuggets that tastes like McDonald’s and even have dino shaped ones. Light life has everything from vegan sausage crumbles to Bacon, the vegan bacon and hot dogs are amazing)
Eggs (just egg and simply egg are planted based substitutes for eggs, they’re liquid like an egg beater but can be used in place of eggs from a scramble to a baking ingredient)
Dairy (Vegan milk/coffee creamer you got options coconut, almond, soy, oat, pea protein. Pick what you like best. Personally California farms Oat milk in original and California farms oat vanilla creamer are my favorites. I’ll throw cream cheese and Yogurt in here as well Kite Hill regular and Strawberry cream cheese are my favorite, Kite Hill blue berry, and Strawberry vegan yogurt are my favorite. MIYOKO’S vegan butter)
Snacks (Lenny and Larry’s plant based chocolate chip cookies, Spudsy sweet potato puffs they have a million different flavors I like the hot fries. Vegan rob’s dragon puffs these are the vegan equivalent to hot Cheeto puffs but without the red dye 40. Vegan rob’s also has cheese puffs)
Sauces (Anne’s goddess dressing is very tangy, Diaya blue cheese and Caesar dressings are amazing, can be thick though, they also have ranch but I got a vegan homemade ranch recipe. Hot sauce, Franks, Cholula, Tabasco, and Tapatío are vegan. Ketchup& mustard are vegan. Hellmans and follow your heart have vegan mayonnaise,Sir Kingston’s and Follow your heart also have chipotle Mayo. Follow your heart also has vegan sour cream)
Seasonings (seasons you should have in your cabinet click here, the dollar tree sells all these for a dollar and most grocery stores sell adobo)

a few things from today and just general musings because this is a blog and I shouldn’t be afraid to post these things on a blogging website:
- i made a parfait for the first time. It was really good. I was skeptical because for whatever reason it’s hard to find a yogurt that’s non-diary in the bigger sizes but I stumbled across one that’s made from goats milk so why not? It’s nasty on it’s own but very tasty when you add stuff to it. I used blueberries, strawberries, honey and honey nut granola.
- speaking of food, i realize that while i enjoy grocery shopping, Im not really good at it. I decided to meal prep and found it sooo helpful. Now I know what im eating so I knew what to buy. I also made chicken gravy from scratch which seems mundane but very cool. I used too much flour but it just means that it’s super thick and that’s ok. I think doing this will help cut my grocery budget down but groceries are just fucking expensive.
- I started a new screenplay and it’s exciting. I really want to do more with my writing this year and a great writing fellowship opened up but it’s for features only. I hate long forms of writing but was willing to write a feature in a month because I wanted to do the fellowship. I realize this was wrong and will now take my time with the script.
- it’s tentatively called financial aid and it’s about three students coming together to pull off a heist to pay their tuition. It’s heavily based on me (minus some of the crime, haha) so that makes it scary but worthwhile. I tend to stick to hard comedy but I want to try my hand at drama. The tone is similar to the bear. Characters are great, it’s funny but also wildly fucked up and everyone should see a therapist.
- i bought kimchi for the first time. I had a great pork kimchi rice bowl in LA and haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since. I couldn’t find pork belly in my store so I’ll have to do without. I hope it turns out ok.
- i could be really good with social media to the point of becoming an influencer but I don’t care enough and I’m lazy. My mom thinks I’m wasting potential. I like posting little tiktoks of my outfits and doing mini vlogs of my life. Why must i monetize that?
- I’m sure we’re just in a lull period but I find my job kind of boring. I spent an hour answering emails and then just sat there for the rest of the day. Only two other people came in. I could’ve stayed home. I like it because I make more than a lot of people and it’s easy and i only work in office three days a week so i can do whatever on the weekend.
- i really want friends and I’m tired of trying to use endless apps or whatever. I can’t help but to think about how much fun this city could be if i had people to hang out with.
- i think i need to buy a nightlight and I’m trying to be brave about it because sleeping with the tv on isn’t helping but for gods sake I’m 26 and developing a fear of the dark!

LEMON BUNDT CAKE
Tumblr media
Ingredients:
✅All-purpose flour – Measure correctly for moist and tender results.
✅Cake flour – Using half all-purpose flour and half cake flour is the secret to a perfectly light and moist bundt cake. More on this below.
✅Baking powder – Helps the cake rise.
✅Salt – Balances out the sweetness.
✅Granulated sugar – Sweetens and moistens.
✅Lemons – Both lemon zest and lemon juice provide the perfect punch of flavor.
✅Eggs – I know 8 large eggs seems like a lot of eggs, but trust me, the eggs are so important to baking up that perfectly rich and moist cake.
✅Sour cream – Helps create that rich texture. You can also use full-fat plain unsweetened yogurt instead.
✅Butter – You can’t have moist, buttery bundt cake without the butter! This recipe uses a LOT of butter because it’s essentially a pound cake.

Trahanas soup is the kind of soup that is a remedy for an upset stomach especially after consumption of a lot of food and drink. But what is Trahana? Trahanas (as it is known in Greek) is an ancient type of pasta made out of grain and fermented milk or yoghurt (Greek variety). In other countries it is also known as tarhana. Trahana is very cheap and can be stored and last for a long time. In my recipe, I use sour Trahana, but you could use sweet, if you prefer. At the end I add some Feta cheese for extra flavour, which you can leave out for a lighter soup. Let me show you how to prepare this comfort, winter soup. Suitable for lacto-vegetarians.
INGREDIENTS: • 200 gr / 7 oz / 1 cup Trahana sour or sweet • 1.25 lt. / 5 cups Water • 1.5 tbsp. Tomato puree (paste) • 40 ml / 3.5 tbsp. Olive oil • 1 tsp. Sugar • Ground Salt and Pepper • About 60 gr / 2.1 oz Feta cheese, crumbled (to be divided to all plates)
Tumblr media
METHOD: A. Make the Trahana Soup: 1. Pour the 1.25 lt. Water in a deep pot and place it over high heat. 2. Add the sugar, tomato pasta and olive oil. 3. Let them dissolve in the water, stirring regularly. 4. Next add the Trahana in the soup.
Tumblr media
5. Season with ground salt and pepper, to taste. Stir to blend all ingredients. 6. Once water starts to boil, reduce the heat to low. Let Trahana simmer for about 10', stirring regularly.
Tumblr media
7. Note: Cooking time always depends on the type of trahana used. Fresh, homemade trahana is boiled quicker than store bought, for example. Check the package for exact boiling time.
Tumblr media
8. Then turn off the heat. That’s it!
Tumblr media
9. Let the soup stand for 5' before serving.
Tumblr media
B. Serving Suggestion: 10. Serve the Trahana soup in individual bowls, while still hot.
Tumblr media
11. Garnish each bowl with ¼ of the crumbled feta (if using).
Tumblr media
Note: If you prepare the soup earlier, then when you reheat it, you will need to add about ½ cup extra water. Energizing, nutritious, comfort soup and most importantly light for the stomach! It warms your whole body.
Tumblr media
Here, I served it with kritsinia-bread sticks and some Kalamata olives.
Tumblr media
Imagine yourself with your bowl of Trahana soup, snuggling with a blanket in front of the fireplace, while snow is falling outside!

C. Storage information: Trahana Soup can be stored in the refrigerator, after it cools down, in a saucepan with a lid, for up to 1 week.
D. Info about Trahana: Trahana is an ancient dried superfood, similar to pasta, used in Greece, Cyprus and the Middle East. It is made either with wheat flour, bulgur, semolina or kibbled (cracked) wheat. Fermented Milk, buttermilk or yogurt is mixed into it, to form a dense mass.
Tumblr media
It is then shaped as a miniscule pebble grain or crumbs.
Tumblr media
The etymology of the word “Trahana”, may come from the Greek word Traganos meaning crunchy, although this is debated in other ancient countries with similar recipes. Greece claims the title of the country with the largest variety of trahana and dishes based on it e.g. sour or sweet, thick or fine Trahana. Trahana is rich in carbohydrates and a source of fibre. The lactobacilli in the sour milk have a beneficial effect on the digestive tract and helps intestinal health.

Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media

I feel a lot better right now but man was I miserable this morning. I hate that my moods can swing so hard day to day. I was so happy and at peace yesterday. And then today I am a crab apple. I feel better now. A lot of it was I slept so bad it was terrible.
My nose started whistling again last night. Thankfully it is not right now. But I was super uncomfortable and couldn't get it to stop with any of my normal tricks. I eventually went and tried nasal spray that just made me sneeze. I did fall asleep but it was not good sleep. I woke up when the sun wasn't up yet and gave James, who was playing a video game quietly in their room, a hug, used the bathroom, and went back to sleep for 2 hours.
When I woke up I was alright. I was happy but I was okay. My hair felt weird. I got dressed and tried to be alright. But I didn't like my outfit. And changed three times because my arms hurt. I would eventually end up in my favorites and things felt a little better. But before that I just had a sweatshirt dress on and was super unhappy.
James was so sweet though. They had set the bread maker up to make fresh bread this morning. And was finishing the laundry. They are the best house wife.
They made me avacado toast with a fried egg. I was confused why they put cheese on it but I actually loved it. 9/10. The only reason it loses a point is because it was really messy.
I was still a crabby patty though and got back in bed to work on my embroidery and try to cheer up.
James went for a bike ride. And honestly it was good for me to be alone for a bit. I was just having a bad time.
I would finish my embroidery and then went to work on my website. Which was stupid hard because the website builder I use is not intuitive and has always been annoying. But it's fine. I was able to get it half way decent. I still want to make a new background and change some colors but it's getting there.
James got home while I was in the thick of being upset about the website. But they said we should go for a walk and go get my prescription. And they were correct. So I finished up publishing the site and then we went out.
It was surprisingly cold. I am glad James told me to wear a jacket. We talked about what we would do for the rest of the day. And we decided to go get groceries after we got my medication.
And we did just that. I was pleased when the pharmacist checked in with me about the medicine because no one else has. And then we walked back home to get the car and go to the grocery store.
And honestly we did really well. A little cheaper then what has happened lately with how crazy everything has gotten. I was excited about a new mini cereal. We got fancy black cherry soda. I got nice yogurt. And then we went home.
I had gotten a little upset because James ate something I had been saving. But it was fine. When we got home James made us a little lunch. And I chilled in bed. I had some darning to do on my tights. So I sat in bed and did that while my food cooled down.
Eventually James said it was time to go. We were going to lush so I could get my argon oil face bar and then to port discovery to meet Anne and Charlotte.
Lush went very quick. Didn't get samples and I was only slightly disappointed. And since we had some more time to waste before we were to meet them we walked to Marshalls to look for the Valentine's dress I wanted. And they did have one but it was to small. I was only slightly devastated.
We would get to port discovery as Charlotte and Anne were rounding the corner.
And it was fun! It was smaller then I have pictured in my head, and apparently they have taken a lot away and aged down the demographic they go for. But it was fun getting a tour and I loved hearing about what James and Charlotte did and liked when they were kids. It was also just neat getting the behind the scenes tour.
It's awesome that Anne's been promoted and she was very sweet with the kids we encountered as we went around. I had a good time.
There was a pretend diner and gas station. A big boat (which was my favorite part) and a whole shipping container part. There was an adventure of egyptologists in the 1920s. And it was a cool place. I get why people have such fond feelings and memories of it.
We were there for about an hour. And at the end Charlotte and Anne climbed to 'the cloud' and went down the 3 story slide. I don't like a big slide so I did not go. And James felt they were to tall to climb (plush their arm would probably hurt after) but it was fun seeing them go down.
We would all leave after that to go back to the Fulwiler house. Where we ordered Chinese food.
Now I don't usually eat Chinese but I tried stuff I was unsure about but I loved it. It was great. And it was just nice talking to everyone. Things didn't feel weird or anything like they had around the wedding. I told them about the medications I'm on and Anne also has arthritis so we were able to commiserate. And I showed her and Tucker my embroidery project. And that was just really fun. And then we had grasshopper pie and it was really nice. I liked the crust a lot.
We played a silly game where I read a phrase and you had to guess if it was from a listing for an adoptable dog or a haunted doll. And we had big laughs. But soon enough Charlotte had to go home. So we left as well. We all went out together.
Me and James got back here and I decided that I should lay out all my crochet squares to see how many I had left. I thought it was 5 but it was actually 2?! So I spent the next hour or so finishing those and James helped me lay all the pieces out so we could make sure no colors were touching and the black and yellow was balanced. And I'm just so thrilled. It's going to take a while to put all togethr but I'm so excited!!
Once we got those stacked and numbered I went to take a shower. James says I smell super nice. My body wash is mango. My lotion is strawberry. My hair cream is lemon. My deodorant is spiced cider. I'm like a little fruit salad.
And now me and James are getting ready to sleep. I have a little bit of an earlier day tomorrow. And I'm apparently with prek. So that's interesting. We will see how it goes I guess. Hopefully they like story books because that is a lot of tomorrow. I just hope the teacher has a handle on them because that is the make or break.
I hope you all sleep well tonight. And that my nose doesn't act up. Wish us luck. Goodnight everyone!

Subsequent to seeing that the dinners were more famous, the family chose to supplant the frozen yogurt shops into cheap food outlets in 1978.
Mcdonald's was demonstrated to be hard to beat yet Jollibee had the option to match and endured it. Why? The adversary Mcdonald's, as per Caktiong, "didn't realize nearby food culture". In a meeting where Caktiong was gotten some information about the business' confidential, he said, "Simply ensure your food is truly delectable".

What's Famous and What is Must Try
The chain works day in and day out, where the menu changes from breakfast to main meals and desserts. I will share my personal top choices on the menu.
Chickenjoy! The fried chicken meal is likely the most famous item in the store. It has a crunchy surface from an external perspective and is truly delicate and succulent inside. They have the first and fiery assortments. Aside from the chicken and rice feast, chicken joy is likewise matched with their spaghetti.
Peach-mango pie! A treat that is incredible. The outside is firm and flaky however it's sweet with pieces of peach and mangoes in a thick sauce inside. It is served Truly hot!
Yumburger. It is one of the principal items served in the beginning of the business. It's an ordinary burger yet in some way or another, the taste is effectively recognizable from those of different stores.
Jolly spaghetti. A #1 among kids and more youthful clients, Filipino-style pasta can be a shock to unfamiliar tongues. Their translation of spaghetti is sweet and substantial, with pieces of wieners and meatballs. The pleasantness of the dish can be trying to the people who favor Italian-style pasta. And, expect to see a serving of seared chicken and spaghetti in one plate!
Palabok. It's a Filipino-style bihon noodles presented with an exceptional sauce and garnishes of pork chicharon bits, sauteed pork, shrimps, and cuts of egg. It has a remarkable taste and integrates neighborhood fixings and flavors. Drinks. In the Philippines, the primary drink was Coca-Cola yet in certain nations, they serve Pepsi. Be that as it may, presently, various beverages are accessible like pineapple juice and tea.
Tumblr media
Jollibee Overseas
It very well might be hard to enter the global market yet Jollibee has set up stores in nations like the US, Canada, and the UK among others. So how can it admission? As is commonly said, Filipinos are tracked down wherever in the globe so it's nothing unexpected that Jollibee stores are loaded up with clients, generally, Filipinos, while others are interested local people. To numerous Filipinos, Jollibee is a spot to meet individual Filipinos. The flavor of the dishes causes one to feel nostalgic and recollect their experience growing up. From the people who miss their home-prepared Filipino dinners, it's a welcome retreat. It's a cut of the Philippines brought to their doorstep. It resembles a usual hangout spot.

How to Apply Orange Peel to the Face for Anti-Aging on a Budget
Embracing the Power of Nature
In the pursuit of radiant, glowing skin, many turn to expensive skincare products laden with chemicals and artificial ingredients. However, nature provides us with a treasure trove of remedies, and one such gem is the humble orange peel. Packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, orange peel can work wonders for your skin when used correctly. In this comprehensive guide, we will explore the various benefits of using orange peel on your face and how to incorporate it into your skincare routine for maximum effectiveness.
Tumblr media
Understanding the Benefits of Orange Peel
1. Rich in Vitamin C
Orange peel is abundant in vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant known for its ability to brighten the skin, fade dark spots, and promote collagen production. Vitamin C helps combat free radical damage caused by UV radiation and environmental pollutants, resulting in a more youthful complexion.
2. Natural Astringent Properties
The natural oils present in orange peel act as a gentle astringent, helping to tone and tighten the skin. This can reduce the appearance of pores and control excess oil production, making it especially beneficial for those with oily or acne-prone skin.
3. Exfoliating Action
Orange peel contains natural exfoliating agents, such as alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), that help slough off dead skin cells and unclog pores. Regular exfoliation with orange peel can reveal smoother, more radiant skin and prevent breakouts.
4. Anti-Inflammatory Effects
Thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties, orange peel can soothe irritated skin, reduce redness, and calm inflammation associated with conditions like acne and eczema. It can also help alleviate discomfort caused by sunburns and insect bites.
Incorporating Orange Peel into Your Skincare Routine
1. Orange Peel Powder Mask
To make an orange peel powder mask, simply dry orange peels in the sun until crisp, then grind them into a fine powder. Mix the powder with a small amount of water or rose water to form a paste. Apply the mask to clean, dry skin and leave it on for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off with lukewarm water. Use this mask once or twice a week for best results.
2. Orange Peel Scrub
For a gentle exfoliating scrub, mix orange peel powder with honey or yogurt to create a thick paste. Gently massage the mixture onto damp skin using circular motions, then rinse off with water. This will help remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, and leave your skin feeling soft and refreshed.
3. Orange Peel Toner
To create a natural toner, steep dried orange peels in hot water for 10-15 minutes, then strain the liquid and allow it to cool. Transfer the orange peel-infused water to a clean bottle and use it as a toner after cleansing your face. Store the toner in the refrigerator for a refreshing boost whenever needed.
4. Orange Peel Infused Oil
You can also infuse carrier oils, such as jojoba or sweet almond oil, with dried orange peels to create a nourishing facial oil. Simply place dried orange peels in a glass jar and cover them with the carrier oil of your choice. Let the mixture sit in a cool, dark place for 1-2 weeks, shaking it occasionally. Strain the oil and use it as a moisturizer or as part of your oil cleansing routine.
Precautions and Tips for Safe Use
While orange peel can offer numerous benefits for your skin, it's essential to use it safely to avoid any adverse reactions. Here are some precautions to keep in mind:
Perform a patch test before using orange peel on your face to check for any allergic reactions.
Avoid using orange peel on broken or irritated skin, as it may cause stinging or burning.
Always dilute orange peel powder with water or other gentle ingredients to prevent irritation.
Discontinue use if you experience any redness, itching, or discomfort after application.
I hope this helps you!

Make-Ahead Breakfast Ideas to Make Your Mornings Less Stressful
Make-Ahead Breakfast Ideas to Make Your Mornings Less Stressful https://kimjanese.org/make-ahead-breakfast-ideas-to-make-your-mornings-less-stressful/ Mornings can be a frenzy, with the rush to get ready, catch a commute, or prepare for a day’s tasks. In such chaos, breakfast, the day’s most important meal, often takes a backseat. However, with some planning and wise choices, you can ensure that your mornings are nutritionally sound without adding to the rush.  The idea of a make-ahead meal isn’t novel. Historically, households have prepared food staples in advance to save daily cooking time. Whether it’s the age-old technique of fermenting batters or prepping dough, make-ahead techniques have been an integral part of culinary traditions. Over time, as lives have become busier, the importance of these methods has surged. Today’s make-ahead breakfast options cater to a spectrum of dietary needs and palates, ensuring you can start your day right without the last-minute hustle. Overnight Oats Variations Overnight oats have overtaken the culinary world due to their simplicity and versatility. Here’s how to create your perfect jar. Your thick, creamy, and flavorful oats are ready to eat in the morning. The endless variations allow you to mix and match ingredients per your preferences. Base Recipe: Combine rolled oats with a liquid of your choice (like almond milk, yogurt, or cow’s milk) in a 1:2 ratio. Ensure that the oats are submerged. Sweeteners: Add honey, maple syrup, or a sugar substitute. Fruits and Nuts: Toss in your favorite fruits (berries, banana slices, or dried fruits) and nuts or seeds (chia, flaxseed, almonds). Flavor Boosters: Vanilla extract, cocoa powder, or cinnamon can elevate the taste. Stir and Refrigerate: Mix everything in a jar and refrigerate overnight. Breakfast Burritos and Wraps  Breakfast burritos or wraps are the answer for those who crave a savory start. They are not just delicious but also portable. These wraps offer a balanced mix of proteins, fibers, and essential vitamins. Prep The Fillings: Scramble some eggs with diced vegetables like bell peppers, spinach, and tomatoes. Add cooked beans, cheese, or lean meat for added protein. Wrap it Up: Lay out a whole wheat or spinach tortilla, place your filling in the center, and roll it up securely. Freeze: Wrap each burrito in aluminum foil and place them in the freezer. Reheat and Eat: On busy mornings, grab a burrito, microwave for 2-3 minutes, and you’re good to go. Smoothie Packs  Smoothie packs can be a lifesaver for those who like a liquid breakfast. They’re an amalgamation of flavors, textures, and nutrition. These pre-portioned packs save the morning prep time and ensure a fresh and tasty smoothie within minutes. Choose Your Ingredients: This can be a combination of fruits (like berries, bananas, or mangoes), leafy greens (spinach or kale), and protein sources (Greek yogurt, protein powder). Pre-Portion: Divide your ingredients into serving sizes and place them in freezer bags or containers. Freeze: Store these packs in the freezer. Blend: When ready for your smoothie, empty a pack into a blender, add a liquid (water, milk, or juice), and blend until smooth. Embracing make-ahead breakfast ideas can genuinely revolutionize your mornings. These strategies not only save you precious time but also ensure that you don’t compromise on nutrition. With some preparation, it’s possible to have the best of both worlds: a relaxed morning and a nourishing start to the day. Remember, the essence lies in customizing these ideas according to your taste and nutritional needs. Over time, as you familiarize yourself with these methods, you can experiment and innovate, adding your unique touch to these breakfast delights. So, bid goodbye to hurried, skipped breakfasts and greet your mornings with delicious anticipation.   The post Make-Ahead Breakfast Ideas to Make Your Mornings Less Stressful first appeared on Kim Janese | Hobbies.

Ways to Thicken Mashed Potato
Tumblr media
Thickening mashed potatoes is a common culinary technique used to achieve the desired consistency and texture. While mashed potatoes are a classic side dish loved by many, achieving the perfect thickness can sometimes be a challenge. Whether you're making mashed potatoes for a holiday feast or a weeknight dinner, there are several effective methods to achieve that perfect creamy, thickened consistency. In this guide, we'll explore various ways to thicken mashed potatoes, from selecting the right potato variety to incorporating various thickening agents and techniques.
Choosing the Right Potatoes:
The foundation of any great mashed potatoes recipe is selecting the right type of potatoes. Different potato varieties have different starch contents, which can significantly impact the texture of your mashed potatoes.
High-Starch Potatoes: Varieties like Russet or Idaho potatoes are high in starch and are excellent choices for achieving fluffy, light, and creamy mashed potatoes. The high starch content helps absorb liquid and creates a smooth texture.
Waxy Potatoes: If you prefer a chunkier and denser texture, waxy potatoes like Yukon Gold or Red potatoes can be a good choice. These potatoes have lower starch content, resulting in a creamier, less fluffy texture when mashed.
Mixing Varieties: To find the perfect balance between creaminess and chunkiness, you can also mix different potato varieties. Combining high-starch and waxy potatoes can yield mashed potatoes with a delightful blend of textures.
Cooking Techniques:
The cooking method you choose can also influence the thickness of your mashed potatoes.
Boiling: Boil your potatoes in salted water until they are fork-tender. Overcooking can make the potatoes absorb too much water, so be mindful of the cooking time.
Steaming: Steaming potatoes instead of boiling them can help retain more of their natural flavor and reduce the risk of overcooking. It's a good option for those who are concerned about their mashed potatoes becoming too watery.
Mashing: How you mash your potatoes can make a difference in their final texture. For creamier mashed potatoes, use a potato masher or a ricer. If you prefer a chunkier texture, use a hand-held potato masher or a fork.
Thickening Agents and Techniques:
If your mashed potatoes turn out thinner than desired, there are several techniques and ingredients you can use to thicken them up:
Add More Potatoes: The simplest way to thicken mashed potatoes is to add more cooked and mashed potatoes to the mixture. This will absorb excess moisture and increase the potato-to-liquid ratio.
Butter and Cream: Adding more butter and heavy cream can help thicken mashed potatoes while enhancing their flavor. Start by incorporating small amounts and gradually increasing until you reach the desired thickness.
Cheese: For a flavorful twist, consider adding grated cheese like cheddar, parmesan, or cream cheese. Cheese not only thickens the potatoes but also adds richness and creaminess.
Sour Cream or Greek Yogurt: These dairy products can contribute to a thicker texture while imparting a tangy flavor. They're excellent choices for those looking to add a slight tanginess to their mashed potatoes.
Instant Potato Flakes: If you're in a hurry and need a quick fix, instant potato flakes can be used as a thickening agent. Sprinkle them into the mashed potatoes and stir until you achieve the desired thickness.
Roux: A roux is a mixture of fat (usually butter) and flour. You can make a roux separately and then whisk it into your mashed potatoes to thicken them. This method is similar to thickening a gravy.
Potato Starch: Potato starch, available in most grocery stores, is an effective natural thickening agent. Mix it with a small amount of water to create a slurry, then add it to your mashed potatoes and stir until thickened.
Cornstarch or Arrowroot: Cornstarch and arrowroot are neutral-tasting thickening agents. Mix them with cold water and add the slurry to your mashed potatoes while stirring continuously. Be cautious not to overuse them, as they can turn the dish gluey if added in excess. Visit https://euronewstop.co.uk/simple-ways-to-thicken-mashed-potatoes.html
Techniques to Adjust Consistency:
In addition to these ingredients and methods, you can employ certain techniques to adjust the consistency of your mashed potatoes:
Straining: If your potatoes are too watery, you can strain them through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove excess liquid.
Cooking Down: Return the mashed potatoes to the stove on low heat and continue to cook, stirring constantly, to evaporate excess moisture and thicken the mixture.
Cooling and Reheating: Sometimes, mashed potatoes thicken as they cool. If you're not in a hurry, allow the potatoes to cool and then reheat them later. You may find that the texture has improved.
Instant Potatoes as a Rescue: If all else fails, instant mashed potatoes can be used to thicken your homemade mashed potatoes. Prepare a small batch of instant potatoes according to the package instructions, and then fold them into your homemade mashed potatoes.
Seasoning and Flavoring:
Remember that as you adjust the thickness of your mashed potatoes, you may need to reseason them to taste. Add salt, pepper, and other seasonings as needed to ensure that your mashed potatoes are not only the right consistency but also bursting with flavor.
In conclusion, mastering the art of thickening mashed potatoes involves a combination of ingredient selection, cooking techniques, and the right thickening agents. The key is to achieve your preferred balance between creaminess and thickness while maintaining the delicious potato flavor. With these methods and techniques, you can confidently serve up perfect mashed potatoes at your next meal, whether it's a special occasion or a weeknight dinner.
