I think this would fit her personality PERFECTLY. It’s fun and dazzling and daring and slightly edgy - dressed down and super casual, but decadent. This, plus a fun crop top or bralette underneath like in pictures 2+3, and a pair of glossy pointed bright red boots would be THE look of the evening. I’d accessorize it with a high bun that has loose pieces in front to frame her face, and some thick gold jewelry to bring out the warm tones in her skin. This would be a great way to blend her cooler tomboyish style with her cuter feminine style that Zack uses more in promo illustrations.

Remember those Microsoft Windows wallpapers and screensavers in the late 2000s with their vibrant blue skies and water, and green terrains? For "My World", Aespa might have just taken inspiration from that style and today in Mystic Notebook, we are going to explore this concept change, or let's say evolution, for the want of a better word!

Gone is the hyper pop/Y2K/futuristic-blingy style to be replaced by an aesthetic that seems to be calmer and soothing to the eyes. The girls are shown wearing flowy white dresses in natural landscapes: long stretches of desert and barren land, green grassy fields with glimpses of forest far behind, and frothy seas. At first, the set of pictures seemed rather blah to me, and I couldn't help but wonder if Aespa is doing a simple summer concept, which is so unlike them! But then things started to make sense! In this comeback, they are focusing on THEIR world, and the aesthetic evolved from their Y2K concept to that of "Microsoft wallpapers." This particular aesthetic is known as Frutiger Aero, a style that arose after the late 90s/early 2000s Y2K futuristic style! The evolution signifies a return to their real world ("my" world) from the very artificial and utopic world of Kwangya and the Flat, after defeating Black Mamba. Or maybe they are in the world of Mys, their fans.

Now, Frutiger Aero is the style that has the futuristic element of Y2K aesthetic but with the inclusion of nature and greenery. It's an intermingling of scientific progress and a utopic feeling while keeping in touch with Mother Nature. The aesthetic lacks much of the artificiality of Y2K and inclines towards naturalism and humanism.

In the new teaser video, even the greenery seems to have a sense of eeriness, don't you think? The girls are dressed in white, a symbol of a fresh start and purity and they seem to be searching for something. Maybe remnants of their past in the now barren land? Did someone attack Aespa's world while they were fighting Black Mamba? In my opinion, this real-world concept change was already foreshadowed in "Life's Too Short", which had a simple and preppy concept, very real worldish. The girls are slowly getting in touch with the real human world.

Coming back to the style, I love Karina's outfit. It is by the brand, Kim Zisu, and though it has a flowy white summery vibe, the sleekness of the dress and the white boots are an ode to their futuristic concept. The concept photos can any day replace the old Microsoft wallpapers and screensavers; the wide blue skies with soft wispy clouds, the vast green fields, and the dark vivid seas are very reminiscent of the Frutiger Aero style of screensavers and wallpapers.

The foreshadowing mentioned above perhaps started back in Savage Era, in my opinion. If you closely look at the album covers of "Savage" and "Girls", the colour scheme, floor patterns, and structure in general, are very similar to the Frutiger Aero concept.

I wouldn't be surprised if everything was planned all along! Aespa and SM Entertainment are known for producing music and concepts that are far ahead of their time. Stepping away from Y2K futurism to a concept that is very tricky to notice, is quite a bold step. The teaser video intrigues the audience's mind with its haunting melody and I'm very excited to see how they explore their storyline after Black Mamba's defeat.

You’re attending the VMAs red carpet, just before the award show. It’s nothing too big — no live press interviews or real time tabloids. But, because of that, there’s twice as many paparazzis here, which means the crowd is huge and the flashes are brighter and-

Yeah, you don’t love award shows. But, Scooter (your manager) thought it best to attend to promote your album, and sure, you could’ve said no, but where’s the fun in that?

You’re dressed well, too. You’re wearing the dark green Givenchy suit — it fits snuggly and you feel like a powerful CEO as you stride to your destination in front of the cameras. You’re at the first end of the carpet now, standing alongside your publicist and Scooter, awaiting directions. Tom is right behind you, chin on your shoulder comfortingly while he whispers things into your ear — he’s trying to ease your nerves. Press and paparazzi gigs like today — red carpets and blingy outfits — make you anxious.

“Okay, Y/N,” Scooter shuts his phone off. “Go, go now. They’re ready for you. Go!” He rushes out, ushering you onto the bright rug. Tom can’t help but glare at the man, upset at how oblivious he is to your state right now. Yelling is not what you need for your current anxiety levels.

You step out, right foot first, directly onto the rolled-out rug. You pat your thigh while you walk forward a bit before stopping for the first batch of large cameras.

“Y/N! Looking great!”

“Who styled you?”

“Look this way!”

At the commands, you move your head in every which way before ultimately glancing off to Tom. He nods his head comfortingly, shaking off the loud noises and surrounding crowds and mouthing to you “it’s okay.” After he assures you, you walk to the center of the carpet where everyone can get a shot of you.

“Y/N! This way! This way!”

“To your right! Your right!” You attempt to turn towards the direction of the voice. “That’s not your right!”

You shut your eyes tightly, squeezing them while exhaling your deepest breath. When you open your lids again, it feels as though the sounds and voices have grown louder.

“Look up! Look up!” You tilt your head in a certain direction, but to no avail. “Higher! I need higher!”

“Ms. L/N, right this way!”

“Please don’t shout at me,” you state calmly, face still plastered with your signature smile. They ignore you, throwing more commands at you. Your tongue clicks and you clap a fist against your palm multiple times. Gently, your fingers swipe across your forehead and rub all the way to your temple, removing all access sweat. You’re wary of the makeup, and you do your best not to cover your picture-worthy face. “Please, no shouting.”

They don’t listen and you start to panic, looking off to the side to find Tom’s eyes. You lock orbs with him, desperate for a sense of relief. He nods, and though he’s an actor at a music awards show, he steps onto the carpet anyways. The flashes of the cameras pick up immediately, and it’s as though everything becomes white.

Tom’s jaw clenches while he makes his way over to you. He’s tender when taking your hand, arriving at your side in less than ten seconds.

“Tom! Tom over here!”

“Give us a couples pose!”

“Look this way!”

“Get out of the way! Show Y/N!”

Tom ignores them all while he blocks the cameras and flashing lights from your view. His back is to the paparazzis, and it’s as though it’s only you and him in a room by yourselves.

“Are you alright, love?” His hand holds your cheek and you nuzzle into his palm with a nod. He sighs, nibbling on his bottom lip. “Wanna leave?” You nod again, and though he wants to chuckle at your adorableness, he can’t help but feel angered by all the people who think they’re so entitled when they only make money off of taking your picture.

He starts guiding you to the other end of the carpet, away from Scooter and all the cameras. The paparazzis start yelling louder, yelling out disappointed “aw’s” and “boos.” Tom blocks their view of you protectively, arm around your shoulder while the other holds your hand.

“You’re alright, love. We’re alright.”

You nod again, and when you’re finally off the carpet, and the sound of the camera clicks is out of your earshot, Tom pulls you into a suffocating hug. You hide away in his neck’s crook, pressing a sweet kiss to the open skin while you hug him as best you can without wrinkling your designer outfit.

“Love you… so much.” You mumble after a few moments. He smiles, though you can’t see it, and squeezes you tighter.

“I love you, darling. My strong angel.”

So I got like really really into drawing these but then I got to fluttershy and nothing was working out so I think it’s a sign to just take little break and post it in twos instead so! Here’s my human main six!! I’m super super happy with how these came out and I really think I’m starting to develop like a consistent art style (until fluttershy FUCKED IT UPPPP, but maybe I’m just working too fast-) buttt! (Fixed the quality!!)

Here are the girls and my human human design for them!!! I’m super super happy with how these three have come out (just for reference they’re all like in they’re young to mid twenties, also feel free to ignore this part of the post because I’m just gonna be talking about my thought process with the designs n stuff ) so firstly w pinkie pie I really really like how she turned out! I took inspiration from her hair accessories in the last episode of FiM where she has like candy and confetti in her hair so I added that in her human ver, I was gonna add hot pink in her hair like in sections I suppose? Like highlights I think but when I tried it just did not work like my brain just couldn’t make it look good but I’m gonna work on it! Was my first time really giving a good go at drawing black hairstyles and I think it’s pretty okay for my first go but please give me some tips on how I can improve other than just practicing <3 I also gave pinkie a rock candy necklace I thought it would be a really cute accessory, her outfit is a bit lacklustre but I don’t really know what to put her in at the moment but if/when I draw them again I’ll put her in something a bit more for her! For twilight I gave her a preppy academic look but I have her her normal colour palette for hair hair and eyes I love love love how she came out! ((For my human twilight she’s Indian :)) I also gave twilight some cute little beauty marks on each side of her eye just to give her a more human feel! With rarity I tried to give her like really volumes 80s hair like blown out n stuff, I think it turned out well but I may give it a bit more length next time but it does look good at shoulder length! I gave her her trademark blue eyeshadow and a diamond earring like the diamond on her cutie mark too! I gave her a simple off the shoulder top cuz I think she’d just love off the shoulder stuff and I gave her a blingy neckpiece to add that extra bit of sparkle I know she loves so much! I also think that human rarity would be french American?? Possibly because of fashion and as a Welsh person plane old american is so boring it’s tragic but anyways,Cant wait to do the rest of the cast :D
