I looked myself in the mirror and felt super uncomfortable. My girlfriend Clawdeen invited me to her house and I wanted to look nice before I went over but none of my clothes seemed to feel right on me with my chest binder.

I love myself, I really do, but I can’t stand my body, specifically the parts of me that make me feel more feminine. I have a few chest binders that help with the dysphoria but on somedays it’s such an overpowering feeling that I can’t shake off. Today was just one of those days.

I kept trying on different shirts and hoodies but none of them were fitting correctly. At this point I’m probably going to just cancel hanging out with Clawdeen. I really want to do that because I love Clawdeen with my whole heart but I usually don’t want to be around anyone when I feel this way.

My icoffin rang and I saw Clawdeen’s icon pop up. She’s wondering where I am… I pick up the phone and answer, “Hey Clawdeen.”

“Hey, Y/N, where are you? It’s like 30 minutes past when we said you’d be here. If you’re running late or something let me know though, please?”

“No, it’s just that… it’s one of those days again.”

“What do you mean? Dysphoria day?”

“Yeah… my binder isnt looking right on any of my clothes no matter how many I try and I just feel awful.”

“I’m sorry, love. Is it cool if I head over to your place?”

“I mean sure if you wanna…”

“Okay. Give me about 40 minutes and I’ll be right there!”

“Okay. Bye.”

“Love you!”

“Love you too.”

I hung up and layed on my bed until I heard the doorbell rang. I got up to go to the front door and opened it. Clawdeen was standing there looking beautiful (as usual) with bags in both hands.

“What’s in all those?” I asked pointing to the bags.

She walked in and put the bags on the table, “Not even a “hello” or “i love you” from my amazing partner?”

I gave a little laughed as she started to take out the contents in each bag and put them on the table. There were my favorite snacks and drinks as well as outfits that looked super cute. I looked at her and started to speak, “Claw-“

“Uh uh,” she started to say as she looked at me seriously, “No way. I know exactly what you’re gonna say and I’m gonna stop that train of thought right away. I came here because I know you’re upset and I love you. I want to make you feel happy and that’s why I brought your comfort foods and drinks. As well as making you shirts, pants, and other stuff to make you feel comfortable on these days or just in general.”

I looked at her in disbelief. She did all this stuff for me just because I feel upset…

“I really don’t know what to say, Clawdeen…” I started to say as my voice cracked a bit. I could feel tears forming in my eyes. No one ever cared this much about me to make clothes specifically for me. I started smiling wide and gave Clawdeen a huge hug.

She hugged me back and said, “I’m always going to be here for you, Y/N”

We went through all the clothes that she made for me and they fit perfectly. It made me feel so much better and I actually felt really good!

I sat on my bed in between Clawdeen’s lap. She started playing with my hair and I thanked her again for helping me out.

“It’s no problem at all, love,” she said, “Trust me. I love you.”

“I love you too.” I responded looking up at her. She gave me a kiss and we both layed down cuddling each other.

We eventually fell asleep and when I woke up, Clawdeen left. There was a tiny note on my nightstand and it said, “sorry I left, had to go get Howleen. Love you <3”

I smiled a bit thinking at how amazing Clawdeen is. I really am lucky to have her.

Stranger Things characters as Monster High characters!

yeah this gets kinda tangent-y in some parts but I think my castings r pretty good ! oh n I forgot robin but if I think of smth I’ll add them. <3

el as frankie stein… el is often alienated in the party, taking on the “hero” role. frankie is also often othered, and returns to a place of insecurity when her uniqueness is shed in negative light; this is despite the fact that both of them continue to save the day with their quirks. el with her telekinetic powers and frankie with her handy dandy detachable limbs. Also they are both the leading ladies so yah.

max as cleo de nile… they are two icons. both of them initially are portrayed as bitchy and cold hearted but as you grow with them you see that they are not just one-dimensional, but a legit smite person who is complex and end up as one of your favorite characters.

dustin as ghoulia yelps… adorable geniuses who aren’t always given enough credit and aren’t really taken serious romantically.

will as abbey bominable… since abbey is a transfer she is unfamiliar with lots of the customs and culture at monster high (alienated like frankie). similarly, will byers spent a formative time and is more childish than his friends. not to say that he is immature, he isn’t. he is just at a different place that his friends and still has some catching up. and he’s doing a damn good job.

lucas as duce gorgan… the cutest most supportive boyfriend a girl could ask for. also casket ball legend. yes he is a bit clueless but he’s a jock, give my bby a break. n yes he breaks up with his girlfriend for a stupid reason. (were lucas n max broken up after s3? Idk it felt like it n s4.)

steve as draculaura… the all around bestie who is constantly trying to fix things for her friends. Or alternatively fix their friends up with someone else (See: clawdeen and laura’s cousin vlad and steve giving dustin romantic advice).

billy as nefera de nile… the older sibling who is hated largely fandom-wide w/potential that was never fully reached. because they never were fleshed out we never got to the point where we are with cleo or max.

nancy as cupid… reporter, radio show host, same diff. They mean well and want the best for their community. However they aren’t taken seriously by done people.

erica as howleen wolf… slightly bratty lil sis who is also a kind of a badass. pffft u prob thought I was gonna lump erica n lucas together as siblings. amateurs.

now u might get mad at me in a sec, here me out 🥺

jonathan as jackson jeckle… cute(ish) nerd who is the sweetest baby, you fall for him for his personality. my favorite of will’s “brother” figures.

mike as holt hyde… the cuter of the “brother” figures for will, but he is also more annoying…. would make out w tho. (after s1, mike went downhill as a character.) he is more beloved but he needs to learn to shut up and listen. we get it you need your music (constant talking n everything going ur way) pls just turn it down. i’m not a mike hate acc, but I feel like the duffers are digging the character’s grave. i like mike but his potential is being wasted.

Eddie as andy beast… kinda reclusive, he is not friends with many but is very attached to those who earn his trust. andy also may or may not have been my imaginary boyfriend from age 8-11 🙈

I'm binging the G1 Monster High movies as my annual Halloween tradition at the moment and it's so fun, love to see it (Though rewatching New Ghoul @ School was an absolute nightmare oh my GOD Frankie done goofed so BAD q-q Poor ghoul; still enjoyed it tho don't worry, the end was nice)

Anyway I was just finishing up Fright On! and the way Romulus is written in the show is exactly how I was writing him for one of my current WIPs so I'm delighted with that information lol

Another thing, loved the variety in cast members utilized in this particular one, as there's times where the B-plots don't really align with the main story going on in the movies (*cough cough* Ghouls Rule with Clawdeen and Draculaura *hack*). But it was cool to see Howleen's whole thing about making a name for herself, and Drac's relationship with Clawd falling apart due to the madness of the situation both be integral towards the 3rd act, and not just a showing of how the conflict affected them.

And while the secondary cast really only showed up when it was convenient for the plot, I feel like realistically the characters would go to Spectra to spread a fake story to their benefit, or that Clawd & Clawdeen would take Operetta's offer for assistance since the catacombs are basically her home. Really nice utlization of everyone, slay

Also I can't go a single one of these movies without mentioning something about Jackson or Holt when they're in it, Jackson's little "Yay! :D" thing the two times it was mentioned that Monster High eventually wants to integrate human students onto their campus was iconic, one of my favorite parts, bless him

I noticed over time a majority of antagonists in the earlier movies are humans (The Van Hellscreams, human cops, that one guy from Skull Shores I always say looks like Waluigi) and it's just sad the humans in this world suck, not like that's inaccurate to real life tho amirite hahaha :'D At least we got Clair so slay for her ig

Someone brought up the theory that "They changed Clawdeen in Gen3 bc they didn't want to feed the stereotype of "Black girl who has to be serious and strong." so they made her more cute and bubbly." But then that kinda just feels insulting, since Clawdeen was always more than just a stereotype... plus there being a bunch of clearly Black ethnicity based monsters who fit the "cute and bubbly" personality idea. Clawdeen was always hard working icon, who was strong for her friends and herself.

Also, if that was the case, we have a black werewolf character who could have been added to the main cast who is more the 'cute and bubbly' personality in comparison to Clawdeen's 'serious and strong' -- which, really, is just another way of saying she was focused more on her work and goals than the others who were having boy issues every other wave, but I don't think anyone's ready for that conversation -- nature.
