BOY DO I!!!! i've been waiting for an ask like this so long that many of the blogs i originally would have rec'd have deactivated or switched focuses. but good news there's always lovely new blogs joining the squad. here are some of my faves:

@howlonghaveyoubeenseventeen emma the light the angel a queen who chooses to bless us with her presence daily. she's an absolute sweetheart and i love her so much; i'm so lucky to call her my friend! emma reblogs a lot; mostly wolf pack focus but with fair amount of other characters. a lot of good memes. also has an impressively large twilight library and is able to answer basically any question about the saga, with references.

@panlight i'm pretty sure they're one of the OGs of the renaissance, long before it was actually a thing?? anyways an actual legend among people. we haven't talked too much, but they always post a TON. a pretty good variety of all characters, with less of a focus on the main three (eddie/bells/jake.) their responses to questions are so well thought-out and super interesting to read. they also run @keepingupwiththecullens which is truly the funniest thing on god's green earth.

@forkscult noy is another one i haven't talked to much, but they seem so cool!! another wolf-pack focus blog, but they have a pretty good variety of reblogs. a lot of really aesthetic content. they create graphics that im absolutely obsessed with, mostly focusing on a modern au. they're SO pretty and fit the characters so well, esp. with the lil descriptions!

@phil-dwyer-stan-account addison is so cool! their blog features some non-twilight posts, but they have a lot of reblogged memes and such! they made moodboards that are so so pretty. a very fun presence on the dash.

@the-most-pathetic-edge-marquis hello i love mj that is all. no but seriously they're SO sweet. they always leave lil tags when reblogging posts that are just so so kind and i love reading their thoughts. fair amount of reblogging but they ALSO have some writing and analysis that i just adore. super talented and i love seeing what they post! team jacob focus i think?

@musingsofvenus madi is so cool! another wolf pack focus (are you sensing a theme here? good.) she posts a lot of fic and it's so good! i haven't read too much of it, but i've absolutely adored what i have. (pink cheeks, two left feet anyone?) also v funny. an all around gem.

@paulxlahotee big billy black/gil birmingham focus, as we all should be. michele is so cool and funny and adds such an interesting voice to the fandom. has made some really cool and important posts on the indigenous rep aspects of twilight that i'm really thankful for. also super talented and sweet! makes the coolest beaded earrings.

@teamjacobthot dee!!! is!! a!!! gem!!! she's SO funny and has such good takes. wolf pack focus ft. plenty of clowning on the cullens as they deserve. also a brilliant fic writer; "nyctophobia" is six chapters (so far!) of *chef's kiss*.

@rosaalee i love bri with my whole heart!!! they're so funny and sweet and such a good friend - any time we've talked it's been such a positive part of my day! makes beautiful edits and brilliant af memes.

@the-golden-onion madly has no fucking business being so mf funny and yet??? everyday??? she's here??? being thee funniest mf around? no but seriously mads is so cool and her blog is such a delight to follow! also has the sweetest comments. i'm so glad to have her in my life.

do I like them:

I didn’t really have an opinion on him throughout the series, then I read the Illustrated Guide and decided I liked him - if only for how he handled the Sam/Emily clusterfuck and REVIVED her after she was hurt. My dude is the same age as Jacob, probably 15y/o at the time, and he handled it like a bloody champ.

5 good qualities:

someone has to be Sam Uley’s best mate I guess lol

he entertains Embry's side bets

seemed a pretty decent Second to Sam before Jacob took over

best vision in the Pack

makes little Kim happy, probably

3 bad qualities:

Everything about that scene in Breaking Dawn when he tried to play peacemaker and said to Jacob that he’d “torn” their family apart after he defected gtfo

Oh go ahead and dump everyone lol. But, on to my best boy, Embry

Do I like them: Absolutely. I've always been most interested in the pack and their dynamics (like the rest of tumblr), but I was really drawn initially to the friendship between embry/quil/jacob, or what little of it we saw in the series

5 Good Qualities: (a lot of this is coming from those genius lists @blackpack did on little known tidbits from the books)

He's very observant, being the one to bring up to Jacob that Sam meets with the tribal council, among other things

He's quite loyal to his friends and family

and his mom- he's very aware of the gossip about her when she first moved to town, and what still lingers to some extent. I could go more into how I see their relationship, but for a good while, they were all the other had, and having to keep the secret from her really hurt

I also see him as quite smart, wanting to go to college to study history and/or folklore and is the one that fights the hardest against the pack having to drop out of school or whatever they end up doing

He's quite easygoing and doesn't seem to hold a grudge for long if at all

He puts up with Quil and Jacob and their shenanigans

3 Bad Qualities: (tbh this took a lot longer than I thought)

honestly, the fact he stayed with Sam's pack as long as he did- for as long as he and Jake have been friends I'm surprised it took him until after Bella had the baby to leave

he never tells his mom?? I am drifting far into my own headcanon territory, but if they're close, he should have let her know what was going on and that he's not in some rebellious phase- he had the okay from Sam to do so. Even if she isn't Quileute she does have the right to know at least some of what's going on

he makes too many bets for his own good- where is this money coming from??

Favorite Episode/Moment: This scene from Eclipse

Otp: Quil/Embry for sure because a) I’m a sucker for friends to lovers, but b) it’s a great replacement for the claire imprint situation which has always squicked me out

Brotp: Embry/Quil/Jacob obviously

Ot3: I don’t know if I have an OT3 for Embry? Maybe Embry/Quil/Jacob, if I was forced to choose, but it still doesn't feel right

notp: I'm not particularly fond of Embry/Bella, but really don't like Embry/any vampire-though I don't even know if those fics exist (like I know Rosalie/Leah exists and I’m baffled by it)

headcanon: he's a fancy dancer and has been going on the powwow trail with his mom quite literally his entire life (Tiffany is a somewhat well known fancy shawl dancer) and the entire pack+ adjacent crew saved up for ages and surprised him with new regalia after he grew out of his old set post-growth spurt
