I just wanna say that I know HP can be a heavy topic for some folks, in a way that I'll never fully understand because I'm not trans. I have no support for the author at all, my own reason being the antisemitic undertones of some aspects of the original series in addition to the authors extremely harmful views on trans people. I'm making this au just for myself to have some wizarding world content to enjoy, and I wasn't really planning on posting it anywhere. But if I DO decide to post stuff anywhere, I'll be tagging the posts with 'wizarding world au' and 'hp au' so please block those tags if you don't want to see anything about it. And if I post art on instagram or something I'll make a warning slide beforehand, as I don't think you can block tags on insta. Insta Drarry Fic Rec: A Pulled Down Shade (43K) by Anonymous

This fic comes to us courtesy of @hp-soulmates 2023, which is now posting.

First, here's the short Summary: Harry does not like Draco Malfoy, not even one bit. Never did and never will. That is, until he finds himself married to him. And we know from the tags that an AU is involved.

Well, we know H/D are NOT soulmates at the beginning of this fic. From their actions and snarls(mostly on Harry's part) at each other, they appear far from hit. Harry is Head Auror, and Draco, for the past three years, is the chief prosecutor.

Draco asks Harry for a favour for a case that Harry made an arrest on, and that is where this story takes off. This story is brilliantly plotted, and the explanation of why this particular AU and the Soulbond in the AU will break your heart. The angst is a bit high, which carries you along because this situation they are in has to be resolved in the current timeline. They can't have a life until it is. Be prepared for a pining Harry but then you will cheer when Harry goes all Gryffindor.

I'm not sure how the author does it, but the characterizations of H/D in both timelines read true.

GenderVerse ADMINS

(resumen because my brain likes to over-detail shit and I end up not finishing up things because I overdid them)

An admin is a being that wanders around the multiverse, it's very hard to spot one since they normally hide in the shadows, or there may be times that they hide in plain sight, disguising itself as a background character.

An admin is responsible for administrate (as what the name says already) the situation of an AU or an character that they decided to keep an eye on, they are also responsible for sudden quarantines of universe when they see fit, and reboot a universe or timeline. They also hold the power to rewrite a character (if needed) or add them to revision (which will make them disappear, they will only be able to spectate in the meantime while they are 'fixed')

Admins have a open mindset and are often described as 'distant' by people who have been able to meet them, they try to not pick a side in order to not be manipulated.

Admins can be handpicked by creators as a role, or can be born as one, it's more common an admin be born with the role than be given the job.

Rarely they wander in the doodle sphere, just if one is really curious or tired (they don't need to go there, a few may go there to hang around, Rose Ink doesn't mind and often welcomes them).

They can have any appearance that they desire and shapeshifting into anything, even a rock.

Admins are not omnipresent nor omniscient, so they need to move around to collect information, they have an HP bar and can be killed, they will evaporate once they HP bar goes to zero, their HP bar, however, is very high, they are immune to stats ailments, KR and debuffs, as well as insta-kill attacks from high level beings (it doesn't mean that they are immune to damage, it just means that it takes more than a single slash to kill them).

They don't drop exp nor money, killing them is seen as a waste of time or simply a way to get rid of them temporarily, they will reappear days later.

In this AU, the HP universe is more modern (with social media, etc.). During the events in GoF, Harry beats Cedric to the Triwizard Cup, meaning Cedric lives and graduates Hogwarts. For four years, his Instagram is inactive as he juggles volunteering, travelling, a new relationship, his studies to become a lawyer at the Ministry of Magic, and personal internal struggles from fighting in the Battle of Hogwarts. He eventually reconnects with many of his old friends and schoolmates when his boyfriend convinces him that they should get back on social media as a way to normalize their lives. Here’s where Cedric left off when he disconnected from the world.
