This is something I captured while passing through a tiny village somewhere along the Ganga river in Uttar Pradesh. At the first glance, all you see is an old rural couple sitting outside their unusually bright temporary home, watching life around them. But if you look closely, there hangs an IV drip on the tree branch that supports their makeshift home. I hadn't noticed this at that moment, either, as my car stumbled through the uneven, narrow streets of the village. “When I reflect on situations when I’ve consciously decided to either take the road less travelled or to face the unknown – those are the situations where I have learned the most and been challenged the most, and have contributed the most to my growth as a person and as a leader. As a versatile leader, my journey has given me an edge with insight for creating innovative approaches to problem-solve and deliver strategy & objectives for healthcare. Today, as a healthcare professional, I’m a business leader leading a large size of the pharma business. I have a special interest and niche in mental health, lifestyle medicine, and thought leadership.” “I think one of the most important things we should be teaching girls today is leadership – across the society spectrum. It’s something that has been lacking in girls and women for a very long time – not because they don’t want to but because of stereotyping in society. The quietest moments are the ones spent in reflection. ... My travels in Trichy, India, we’re some of my most memorable. Known for its temples and history, one can never fully understand the legacy of these majestic structures unless they experience it in person. My parents organised this mini pilgrimage of sorts on my behest as I wanted to see these glorious temples and spend time exploring them. In almost every temple I entered, I always saw a few people that would spend their time either reading or in quiet meditation. On my way to Great himalayan national park I stopped at a Tiny village in spiti called Gulling . . Where I met this Beautiful little soul , with so much dreams in her eyes living in a cold desert , Believe me I got so much of positive vibes from this little kid ! She was in class 4 , I asked her in this kind of tough weather you go to school daily or you skip going , she replied yha ka mausam 12 months aise hi thanda rheta hai ab padhai toh krni pdegi mujhe city jake rhena hai vha aur aage padhna hai . She said these lines with lots of confidence. . Her father whose name is Tandup runs a guest house in Gulling , so before leaving I took his contact and we were in touch for quite a long time , one day while chatting I asked him how’s your daughter , he replied she is fine now studies in A big Day boarding school in Delhi . . “Nothing could beat seeing my first C section— a crying baby pulled out with a gush of blood that the nurses immediately grabbed to start APGAR scoring. The mother was still not allowed to see her child as she was under surgery. We pulled out the placenta— and I thought— how could anyone deny the existence of a higher power on Earth? Its all so magical— God created an organ to nourish the child inside his mother. I felt a rush of joy. A boss female gynecologist was leading the charge and everyone was going according to her command. And it reminded me of the outspoken/ambitious/go-gretter women this world needs. And I was in awe. I am exactly where I’m supposed to be”
