There are no easy ways to earn a living, only way is through hard work - Shanta Bai | Humans of Mumbai | Season II | Video series by Humayunn Niaz Ahmed Peerzaada
I am from Satara. From past 25 years I have been doing this along with my husband. I come here at Flora fountain to sell Bananas at 5 in the morning. That's her daily routine. When asked why so early even on a sunday morning she replies there are no easy ways to earn a living, only way is through hard work. Its not easy doing this work .. we have to wake up early as 3 in the morning, bring bananas, fill this two baskets, pile it up on head and bring it over here to sell. Many a times i get headaches because of the weight of the basket. We live in a rented place and still don’t have a place of our own. But then this is it .. this is how life is and we have to live accordingly to feed ourselves. And it’s not that we are not happy .. we are contented in the situation we are in & apart from this work we cant do anything else.

Bangdiwala | Humans of Mumbai | Season II | Video series by Humayunn Niaz Ahmed Peerzaada
We have heard these voices many times ... there are many like him who pass by my bldg and i always thought these voices and the manner in which they sell is so unique and different and as world is so fast changing and so many small businesses have disappeared over a period of time .. will they be able to stay strong and continue or just vanish ..
thought to document each of them in the manner in which they sell or use the primary technique of advertising before it fades.
