Somebody needs to draw Hobie Brown in this shirt has anyone drawn him in this shirt Hobie needs this shirt cause this is a shirt he would absolutely wear
Tommy: Did you know that you have rights? Constitution says you do. I believe that every man, woman, and child is INNOCENT!
Niki: Yo Chat! CHAT! WE HAVE RIGHTS!!! WE MADE IT! We made - we f**king made it. Women’s Rights, let’s f**king go, lets f**king go! We made it. We made it! That’s amazing, thank you so much Tommy Innit. [...]
I was the only woman in this recording. And all they did was talk about their fore.skin *tries not to laugh*. I just wanna let that sink in for a second. This is why I am the w- the victim. This is why I am the victim. This right here. [...]
*reading chat* “Guess you didn’t get women’s rights after all” *laughs then puts her face in her hands* Oh my god Chat. *laughs*
honestly i actually think that k_k deltarune is silly on purpose and not Just Like That bc god knows autistic people aren't treated as being capable of having a sense of humor. god knows k_k is treated like shit in fan content for being clearly autistic coded just like papyrus was. so i like to think he's silly on purpose. he knew full well that cap'n didn't mean 400 bagels for 80$ but it took everyone by surprise and what is he to do but Commit To The Bit. he knew exactly what capn Meant by "are we players?" but he was Not going to answer that. not when there was an opportunity to say something seemingly inane and also stop his siblings from fighting. his feelings about wishing he were a car are nuanced but he loves to just say it bc it tends to get him looks from strangers. he would tell customers in the shop "I love you" at the end of a conversation like it's a phone call and he slipped up but he Didn't bc he loves to just get a rise out of people bc he is silly on Purpose. he is a 'sharks are smooth as hell' kinda guy
i feel like those mobile game ads when that woman and little girl have their survival up to the mercy and skill of some bumbling incompetent faceless player are actually torture porn and should be considered honorary saw sequels
re: the definitive cancellation. i hadn't been holding out too much hope because i didn't want to get devastated all over again, but man i think i really was expecting to be pleasantly surprised. everything else about this show has been so goddamn miraculous.
i'm just one guy in this fandom, and i don't have a particularly loud voice or anything, but i want to get it on record that this show really did have a profound effect on me. i was literally a different person pre march 2022.
ofmd's sheer earnest portrayal, love, and celebration of queer identity is groundbreaking. it's a good show. it displays an expectation of quality that's been getting harder and harder to find in the current media climate (when it comes to mainstream media, anyway).
this show and the discussion it has about queer identity, masculinity, societal expectations, had a hand in me getting closer to actualizing my own identity. it ignited in me a profound desire for more portrayals of genuine expression, and felt like a breath of fresh air in our irony-poisoned culture.
ofmd is funny. and it's loving. and it's honest. and it's obvious why it was able to form such a community around it.
it sucks that we won't get to see the proper end of it the way it was originally intended. it really sucks. but the show still exists and we all got to see it and i'm serious when i say appreciating that fact is going to be better than mourning what could have been at this point.
