The plot:

After being pruned Ravonna is rescued by President Loki who, just like Sylvie, has the ability to enchant people and gives her back her suppressed memories. The two go to another timeline and attempt to start a peaceful life together, but soon find themselves having to deal with an old acquaintance who will force Ravonna to face her past and her mistakes.

Something I would personally LOVE to see in tonight's episode (S2E5) ...goes like this.

In the Void beyond Time, Ravonna Renslayer wakes up after having been pruned in the previous episode. She looks around in confusion, seeing barren plains, random junk, decrepit buildings and vehicles, large rocks. The sky above is gray and threatening. Alioth roars, not far off. She gets to her feet, running, running, beginning to have some inkling of the horror endured by all the variants she had condemned to this fate. But she's still a Hunter, at heart. She'll fight on her feet.

She runs, trying to find some shelter in the run-down, crumbling buildings. The smoke monster roars, further off. She exhales, feeling relieved that she has eluded it.

Behind her, someone clears their throat. Renslayer stiffens, reaches for a stray limb of a broken tree. It's not much, but she has something to defend herself. She turns to confront the newcomer.

A younger woman leans casually against a building, dark braids cascade down her back, her eyes assessing and unforgiving. She's still wearing her Hunter's armor.

C-20 smiles, and it's not a kind smile. "Hey, Ravonna. Fancy seeing you here."

Renslayer takes a deep breath. "C-20. I had to protect the TVA. It wasn't personal."

"Yeah," C-20 inspects her nails, pulling out a small knife to clean a bit of debris away. "It was PERSONAL to me when you pruned me. I guess someone finally got you, though. Judge Renslayer, pruned just like all the other variants. Not so special now, are you?"

"I was a Hunter before I was a judge, C-20. And I was GOOD at it. I don't think you want to go up against me," Renslayer warns her. "I'm armed."

"I see that," C-20 says serenely. "But guess what? I have....friends." She gives a sharp whistle. "Oh, boys?"

Twenty Loki variants emerge from the shadows. All of them are darkly delighted at the prospect of mayhem.

"Some of you may remember Judge Renslayer, from the TVA," C-20 says with a wicked grin. "Let's give her the welcome she deserves."

***I don't really think the Void will be the end of Ravonna, I think we will see her again and I do think we'll see her connect with Kang at some point. But this was just fun to imagine. Especially after she let AI-Murder clock merc prisoners in that death cube.

Given that we discover this season that the TVA was just habitually pruning the Minutemen who were insubordinate or whatever, like C-20 was, presumably, it would’ve been really interesting if like, a bunch of rebellious TVA soldiers were just hanging out in the void. Maybe they came across a on-timeline variant of someone they knew and figured it all out and that had to be shut down. Maybe they, like early Mobius in the finale described, were sent on a mission and disagreed with its parameters. Someone goes off script when they realise the person they have to prune is a kid, and they cause such a ruckus the TVA gets rid of them. So then you just have a whole lot of them knocking around in the void, maybe they befriend the Lokis there or something, C-20 fits right in, D-90 too, when he shows up. Ravonna finds herself there and face to face not just with Alioth and the variants she sent here to die, but every ex-colleague too. Interesting to think about anyway

almost every day after work i boot up PCSX2 to continue my game of Castlevania: Curse of Darkness on Trevor mode. and every time, without fail, i end up simply slow panning the camera around Trevor and sighing wistfully to myself

#i cant properly convey how insane i am about his CoD design in particular #idk its just *good*#it feels period appropriate to a certain point without losing that Castlevania flair that makes it memorable #yet everything about it also screams VAMPIRE HUNTER #and its just *a little bit* slutty to boot #this is the closest thing i've felt to attraction to a fictional character #such is the power of Trevor C. Belmont #the 'c' stands for 'cunty'#also to rant in the tags for a bit #it makes me like his netflixvania adaptation even less #like my guy is supposed to have been *20* in CV3 why are you giving me this jaded alchoholic who could easily be in his 30s #like fine i get it due to the in-universe explanations there but man he's the protag. would it have killed them to make him #just a TINY bit likable #a fresh-faced Trevor confronting the fact that his clan was shunned from society but still stepping up to honor the Belmont legacy #and it is a HUGE ask but he does it. he actually fucking goes and kills drac and restores his clan's honor in the eyes of humanity #when no one before him has ever achieved this #is much more compelling to me than the edgy anti-hero they were trying to give us #also it just makes more sense that regardless of how he feels about it everyone *including him* is fucked if he doesnt at least try #castlevania #castlevania curse of darkness
