LABYRINTH RUNNERS

I know that this episode isn’t airing until May 7, but I have a prediction about this episode. When the Emperor's coven comes to Hexside, Gus teams up with an unlikely ally and I think the unlikely ally is Hunter. Mattholomule is probably what everybody is thinking and I too agree and think that too but only partly because I think that Mattholomule is a too obvious of an answer and I think that the most unlikely ally is Hunter.

First of all, the Emperor’s coven is coming to hexside maybe to look for Hunter, since in ASIAS Hunter went undercover in hexside so Belos is looking for him and thinks that he’ll be at hexside. After Hollow Mind, Hunter has no where to, he knows The Owl House is too obvious and maybe he’s thinking that a school is safe since there’s 1000’s of kids there and he’ll blend in with them, but Belos knows better.

This would also lead perfectly into Oh Titan Where Art Thou, since the day of unity is happening. Belos would probably threaten Hunter in this episode like Lilith did with Luz in Agony of A Witch and uses Hunter to lure in Luz, Eda and everyone else. I seriously doubt that Luz will keep what she found out in Hollow Mind just to Eda and King, or Eda and King will tell the Amity like she did in Reaching Out where Eda told Amity that the day was important to her. Luz will convince everyone that Hunter is good despite everything that he has done, he was under the control of Belos and has been totally brainwashed by him not to mention the fact that Hunter is a grimwalker.

In Eclipse Lake we see Hunter would rather be dead than to return empty handed so after he knows he’s a grimwalker he’ll probably have an identity crisis thinking that he isn’t a person and nothing he believes in is real.

Another reason why I think Labyrinth Runners is going to be Gus and Hunter is, Hunter has bonded or had an episode with everyone in Luz’s gang and the bad girl coven except for Gus. He is the only one Hunter hasn’t shared an episode with and yes ASIAS we did see Hunter and Gus share some scenes together but not a full episode where the story is mostly about them and the plot, not to mention that we don’t know where Hunter went.

There is some possibility that it is Mattholomule but I think Hunter is more likely. Gus and Hunter have more in common than you think for instance…Gus skipped a grade and nobody takes him seriously, Hunter is the youngest golden guard at 16 but isn’t taken seriously in the coven, Hunter is considered half a witch and Gus with his illusion magic is considered weak by other schools.

The unlikely ally is Hunter since there is no other descriptions that involve Hunter but “an unlikely ally” as Mattolomule is too predictable but an unlikely ally as Hunter is something that nobody thought of. Not to mention that grimwalkers have gaulder stones first seen in The Looking Glass Ruins, and Hunter might think to use himself to get more power, we have seen him use glyphs in Hollow Mind but a gaulder stone plus a glyph could do some serious damage.
