Vintage runabout boat

Hefty steel frame, large wheels with heavy, permanently lubricated axles. Rebuilder had custom trailer constructed of finest materials. Access to wiring and controls is under the dash. There is ample space for storage items (anchor, life jackets, oar, fire extinguisher - all included) under the bow and alongside the seating. Bench seating is offered at the stern with room for three (3) and the forward seating is another bench with seating for two (2) to three (3). All gauges and hardware were re-chromed during the restoration. The interior is highlighted by the white steering wheel and the classic controls and gauges. The windshield is a framed, curved plexiglass. The details continue on the bow with a shiny chrome light assembly and Chris-Craft flag. Boat bottom entirely replaced with carefree epoxy plastic materials. Solid mahogany planking hull with matching grains. Rebuilt in 1983 with reinforced keel and hull to accommodate big V-8. She is in exceptional condition today and perfect example of a collectable, Canadian built classic! Ready to go! Fully detailed and enjoyed during the 2021 season, then laid up for storage. During the Fall of 2016 the "AliCat" underwent a refresh where she received a complete new transom and re-varnish of the decks and sides. She was comprehensively restored in 1982-1983 with new decks, engine hatches, interior, dash, upholstery, floors, wiring, gauges, complete varnish and re-chrome and the boat was re-named "AliCat" after his daughter "Ali" and wife "Cathy". The boat has been under the stewardship of her current owner since July of 1978. McDermott, Port Carling ,ON, where it was boat housed at his summer cottage near Mortimer's Point, ON. Bruce Wilson, subsequent owner of Greavette Boats, acquired Rob Roy in the 1960's, replaced the original bottom and re-powered the boat with the current Chevrolet "327"cu.in. The boat was originally named "Rob Roy" after the Moody's two sons, Rob and Roy. This rendition was named a "Custom", whereas all of the others were "Utility" hulls with an open rear cockpit and a motor box and standard hardware, basic instrument gauges and steering wheel. The uniqueness of this particular boat was that it was the only example with covered decks from the rear seat aft and was given "fancy upgrade" consisting of a custom windshield, steering wheel, instrument cluster and hardware. She was one of only 6 hulls produced in this length. Moody, Vice President of Greavette Boats in 1936. She is a 2007, has only 38 hours, and the hull was re varnished less then a year ago. The Brown Eyed Girl is priced a little higher then the other Fletchers for sale on this site. And all maintenance items are up to date. She has been professionally maintained at the Hagadone Marine Center. Powered by a closed cooled Volvo Penta 4.3 GXi and ZF Hurth transmission. All fastenings are stainless and silicon bronze was used with the polyurethane glues. She is made with composite wood/epoxy construction with epoxy-fiberglass sheathing on bottom. The boat is constructed from solid Honduras mahogany planks laminated over African multi-ply on Honduras frames, on white oak chines and keel. She is in excellent condition with less the 40 hours on her clock. The Brown Eyed Girl is thought to be the 58th of a total of 60 boats hand built by Simon Fletcher in Port Angeles WA.
