Luciano nervous about finally meeting Lady Iberia aka Afonso's mom

"Why are you so nervous?" Afonso asked as they walked towards the old ruins. "You love meeting new people."

"I'm meeting your mom, not some girl in a bar!"

"Relax. Honestly, she's a lot like your mom. A warrior woman."

Luciano's blood drained from his face. "That's not helping!"

When they got the top of the mountain, Iberia was sitting by what used to be a fort, her hands firmily grasping her sword.

"Mãe!"

Iberia stared at her oldest son and smiled before pulling him to a hug.

"You are thin, Afonso. Aren't you eating? You must be stay strong for your people."

"Yes, mamã. I try. Actually, I wanted to introduce you to someone," Afonso pointed towards Luciano. "This is Luciano. He's the country of Brazil in South America. "

"It's so good to finally meet you," Luciano said with a huge smile and walked closer to her, his arms extended.

Iberia stayed where she was, with a serious expression on her face as she studied the newcomer. Luciano awkwardly lowered his arms.

"Nice to meet you, young man," she finally said. "I remember Afonso telling me about you a long time ago."

"Good things, I hope," Luciano chuckled, but eyeing Afonso nervously.

"A powerful new nation from the land beyond the sea. I see my son was telling the truth. You look like a capable warrior."

Luciano beamed. "Thank you, senhora. I do my best! I gotta say, it's an honor meeting you. I was always so curious about the person who was Afonso and Antonio's mother."

Iberia smiled. "I hope I haven't disappointed you."

"Not at all! I can't believe there's someone who could put up with those two."

"Hey!" Afonso yelled.

Iberia and Luciano talked for a while until it is time for her to leave. Afonso felt happy that they managed to get along. Maybe after a few more meetings, his mother would be a bit warmer.

I’m a little bit tired and thinking very hard about port x nyo England at the moment and so, even though I’ve yet to see Van Helsing (2004), I do think that scene where Dracula dips a woman in front of a mirror and she’s the only one who shows up in this room full of people has major engport vibes 👀

You should watch it, it's a good movie :D. If I tell you I'm roleplaying Vampire!Port with @greengreekeyes25 and one of his brides is Arthur, maybe you would think it's a coincidence. But there're not coincidences in the world, just fate.

Rarepair Hetalia Week - DAY VI - Mermaids n' Pirates

Almost last work for @hwsrarepairweek2022! - This is the first time I do this kind of AU, so while I was drawing it, that line came up and then I had the idea of a context for this:

Iberia is a Mermaid Queen, ruler of the Mediterranean area. She has two children who are the inheriters of the kingdom. It is said there is a whole country-like under the seas made of pure gold and pearls. Of course this makes marines and pirates to navigate there, but there are legends of being devoured and the ships always dissapeared.

Our ambitious Arthur goes to adventure to find treasures with his crew, but their destiny is the same as everyone else. Fortunately for him, the princes weren't hunting for her mother or for them (yes, human meat is a delicatessen), and one of them rescued him and put him in land. The mermen have never been seeing by humans, and then Kirkland, after a couple of months, went to look for him once again. Since it seemed an accident - or the human is a total dork - Portugal rescues him again and then this scene happens.

Nop, t's not a fic, just the idea came out alone so, I shared it with you!

Thanks to @geocore who let me use their desing of sea-creature Portugal, as they imagine him from the myths. I applied it for a merman and it fits perfectly so, welcome to my new visual headcanon my friend )?

5. share one of your favourite headcanons!

My absolute favorite and also incredibly self-indulgent headcanon is that Port went to study in the Baghdad House of Wisdom in his youth and that is when he met Türkiye during the time the Turkish tribes were welcomed into the Abbasid Caliphate. IN MY HEAD IT MAKES SENSE. It'd be right at a time when the Umayyad Caliphate was falling apart after fighting those same Turkish tribes and decided to settle in Iberia, making it the perfect falling in love with my caretaker's enemy scenario and all that.

I wrote a fic about it.

first one is mama iberia :3 hopefully it’s mostly historically accurate, admittedly this is not really my area of expertise,,, my one friend loves her and knows quite a bit about ancient iberia so i tried to take that with some of the refs she sent for this

and then second is mama greece, third is antonio, and fourth is young heracles :3
