Stray Kids as Hybrids
Tumblr media
WARNINGS: Minho and Felix are "defect" hybrids. There's cussing in this. I got the information from research, so if you're an animal "expert" respectfully correct me.
Master list | Not requested, but I don't care.
Tumblr media
Chan (Grey Wolf)
Tumblr media
He has a grey tail with grey ears that have a black rim.
His fur is extremely fluffy, and he sheds a lot.
In his human form, he has curly hair that's so grey it almost looks white.
Though he has a ton of fur, he doesn't feel the heat.
He needs a lot of nutrients.
He'll eat over 13 pounds of meat at least once a week.
A "healthy" amount of meat for a human is 23 to 33 ounces per week. There are 16 ounces in a pound.
You can do the math yourself.
He's never gone over 12 days without consistent meat intake.
You gotta feed him.
Good luck. 13 pounds = 208 ounces
He won't tell you he's hungry, but you can hear his tummy from across the planet.
In his wolf form, his ears stand up and point forward.
In his human form, his ears just do what they want.
Contrary to popular belief, wolves barely bark.
Whines can be a sign of affection or distress.
You need to pay attention to the signs and what's going on to know the difference.
His growls are warnings, and his loud ones are when he feels threatened.
His quiet growls are playful.
Chan has and will go over to Minho or Seungmin and put his paw on them. IYKYK
the pictures of those 2 wolves are hilarious
Minho (Tiger)
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, Minho is considered a defect.
He looks like your stereotypical tiger.
It's just the tip of his tail is white instead of black
In his human form, he has brown eyes that turn yellow when he's in a bad mood
His "defect" is his hair. It's dark brown which makes the orange in his ears stand out.
Believe it or not, he prefers to come out at night.
He doesn't mind the day as long as it isn't hot.
Occasionally, he'll sunbathe, but it's seemingly random.
He, unlike most tigers, doesn't like water. He can take showers and baths, but big bodies of water are a no.
He can't see the bottom. He isn't getting in the water.
He still likes the knowledge of having access to a lake. Preferably a private lake.
His animal form is almost 9 feet at a weight of 650 something pounds. The weight is healthy for his tiger form.
If you thought Chan needed a lot of meat, then Minho is a nightmare. ;-;
Tigers require 88 lbs per week. :)
Since he's a hybrid, he can eat at least 75 lbs. Which is 1200 ounces...
His weight is perfect for snuggling, but his weight is painful if he lays on you.
He doesn't like roaring because it's loud. He grunts and uses chuffs to communicate.
If you are ever cold, just lay on him.
Tiger fur can get so hot that steam might come off their fur when in the snow.
He isn't very sociable and prefers his own space. He doesn't mind you or the boys, but it's obvious if he doesn't like someone.
You know that thing cats do with their tail when they feel mischievous?
The tip of the tail starts flicking but everything else is still?
That's Minho.
You always know when he's done some stupid shit or is about to
Changbin (Hare/Jack Rabbit)
Tumblr media
He has brown fur with a white tummy
He gives off Thackery the hare from Alice In Wonderland 2010 vibes
He thumps, in both human and animal form, when he feels endangered or if he wants something
Usually, it's because he wants something
As an animal, he does the binky thing where rabbits jump high in the air
He only does it when he's extremely happy
Sometimes, his legs kick off too high, and he falls forward, like in the picture on the right.
When he's angry, he'll sit on his hind legs with his paws up like he's about to start boxing
When he's annoyed, he'll flick his feet and walk away
Sometimes, he'll kick whatever or whoever is irritating him (like in the first picture)
If he starts nibbling on you while in animal form, it's a sign of affection
Speaking of nibbling, rabbits eat 2-3% of their weight in vegetables.
He's a big boy, so... yeah... have fun. :)
Side note, he's very cuddly.
He rivals Jisung in his attachment to you
He will change into his animal form so it's easier for him to be close to you
Sometimes he'll go flying around the room
Kind of like the zoomies but for bunnies
He is a little dramatic
When he's really relaxed and feels safe, he'll flop over
If he's in animal form, he just does it. Doesn't matter where he is
If he's in human form, he'll flop on the nearest soft object or on the nearest person
Hyunjin (Ferret)
Tumblr media
His fur is mostly brown, but he has 2 white rings of fur on his face with a brown spot under one of his eyes.
In human form, his hair is brown, and his animal ears have a white rim.
He's so hyper.
If he isn't running or jumping around the room, he's asleep in a dark space.
Probably under the covers or in a drawer somewhere
Ferrets eat 5-7% of their weight a day.
As a hybrid, he can eat 4% of his weight a day and still be considered healthy.
I recommend just feeding him 5% to be on the safer side.
Ferrets have poor vision. Unfortunately, Hyunjin has poor vision in both his forms.
He wears contacts in human form.
He will snuggle under your clothes and against your skin
If you have a bigger chest, he'll lay between your tits/pecks
If your chest his flatter, then he'll curl up on the left side so he can hear your heart better
When he wants to play, he'll run at people and then quickly run off
He'll keep repeating this until they get the message
When he's angry, he glares and hisses at whatever is causing his anger
He makes cute chitter noses and sniffs when he's curious
Just like other ferrets, he squints when he's sick
Don't get scared if you try to wake him and he doesn't move.
When he sleeps, he's GONE!
He won't wake up until his body is ready.
I like the idea that he scrunches his nose when he's confused
Like genuinely confused. Not "What are you doing?" Confused
I'm talking "What the hell is this thing?" confused
Shit you not! If you have salty skin or a hybrid safe lotion on, he'll lick you. Both in animal form and in human form
He has to be near sleep to start licking you as a human, though
Ferrets kiss, by the way
It's how they show affection
So don't be surprised if you get grabbed and you feel thick lips smack your cheek
He's just giving you a little appreciation, that's all :)
Sometimes, Hyunjin likes to be difficult in his human form
So, like a ferret, if he wants something, he will stare at you.
When you acknowledge him, and you will, he'll repeated glance at what he wants
He refuses to verbalize it until you either get it correct or he's tired of you guess incorrectly.
All just depends on his mood and how generous he's feeling that moment
Ferrets with splay out and sigh when they're sad
It's so fucking cute
Hyunjin does the same thing but on top of you
If you're working on something, like a laptop or iPad, then he'll flop onto that.
Or he'll flop onto your book or something
When you're wearing a hoodie, he'll hide away from the others in your pocket
So make sure it has the one pocket thing and not 2
He can still fit in the smaller ones but he wants the space
Jisung (Squirrel)
Tumblr media
He is a ground-dwelling squirrel.
He is usually found sitting on Tiger Minho's head.
Like other squirrels, he is terrified of owls
"Why would someone need to look that scary?! Or turn its head that much?!"
Squirrels do this thing called caching. It's where they find and hide food.
I shit you not! He hides so much food around the house.
He doesn't need a lot of food, but he will gladly stuff his face full.
If you have to travel, then take him with you. He loves to travel and hates being left by himself.
Doesn't matter if you're leaving him with the others. He wants to go with you.
Sometimes he'll sit directly on top of you or pressed against you.
You have no personal space.
If you don't like physical affection, let him down gently please.
He doesn't want to be the cause of your discomfort, so tell him in the most fragile way possible
With that being said, he will use his face to get out of trouble
Quickly turning into his animal form and acting cute so you won't be angry
If that doesn't work, then he's dipping
I'm talking hightailing it out the room and into the backyard
You won't see him until dinner or it's bedtime
Speaking of bedtime, he wants you to tuck him in
So please do it. Give him a kiss on each cheek and then one on his forehead and he'll be good to go.
DON'T TUCK THE BLANKET IN
It makes him feel trapped and like he's in a cage.
Makes him more likely to have nightmares, too.
Felix (Ginger Cat)
Tumblr media
Felix is also, unfortunately, considered a defect.
His fur is a golden orange color with lighter stripes.
His eyes look green in the sun, but they're amber.
His "defect" is also from his human form.
His hair is blond like the strips, so his ears stick out. His freckles are also, unfortunately, considered a "flaw."
Most people think when a cat rubs its head against you, it's a sign of affection, which it is, but it's also them marking their territory.
They're scenting you and showing ownership over you.
It's how cats show pride in their belongings :)
If you let him out of the house to hunt, he will return with "food" for you.
He doesn't really think much of it. It's just his cat's side telling you you're family.
I guarantee you'll walk in on Felix either biting the shit out of a toy or him chasing Hyunjin around the room.
Did you know that cats knead because of their early days of nursing?
Kittens would knead at their mothers to encourage milk production. Adult cats knead to show content or to calm down.
Think of it as Felix feeling safe with you.
Felix is the definition of "If I fits, I sits"
If you're curled up on the couch, then he's curled up in the space behind your knees and thighs.
Small spaces make cats feel safe, so be sure to give Felix spots to hide in.
It helps with his natural instinct to ambush.
If Felix stares at you with thin pupils, try not to stare back.
It's his inner cat on high alert, and it could take that as you threatening him.
Meanwhile, slow blinks are kitty kisses.
If you slowly blink back at Felix, he'll do it repeatedly if he's in cat form. If he's in human form, he'll latch onto you and give you cuddles.
If Felix's nightly zoomies irritate you, feed him before you go to bed, make sure he tires himself out before bed, or get him a food puzzle.
Nightly zoomies are leftover energy mixed with their instinct to hunt during the night.
Airplane ears!
If Felix's ears are just sitting up, then he's listening to his surroundings. If his ears are flicking around, then he's agitated or dealing with anxiety.
Either peacefully help him or leave him alone. If he's in cat form, then leave him alone. He'll come to you if he wants to.
Felix knocks things over only when he is bored, as other cats do. It fascinates him to see things topple over. If you want Felix to stop, find a way to entertain him.
When he flops onto your things, it's him scenting your stuff to show you're his and a sign he wants attention.
When the tip of Felix's tail twitches it can mean he's curious or he's hunting. It'll go away when he calms down.
Seungmin (Golden Retriever)
Tumblr media
Golden Retriever
A sassy, playful ball of golden fur. He needs frequent exercise and sheds a lot.
Unlike your stereotypical golden retriever, Seungmin's fur is more soft wheat than golden yellow.
His floppy ears blend with his hair when in human form.
Seungmin doesn't like to be left alone. He won't tell you to stay. He will follow you around.
Seungmin doesn't actively seek out strangers. If someone tries to pet him, then he'll move away.
He also doesn't jump on people and hates when others jump on him.
He's not as social as your average Golden Puppy.
I recommend having a big yard for him to run around if you don't have one for the bigger animals.
Please make sure you feed him the proper amounts. He won't hesitate to raid the fridge if he's hungry.
When he grabs things with his mouth, he's extremely careful.
Softly grabbing your arms or a book to move it out of the way.
He'll share his food with you if you beg enough. He won't actively go out of his way to feed you unless you're ill.
If he's being "Destructive" it's because he isn't stimulated enough.
He needs more mental and physical exercise.
He doesn't have separation anxiety unless you decide to give him a terrible backstory on how you found him.
Otherwise, he's pretty confident that you'll come back home.
If something comes up, you'll communicate the issue and a general idea of when you might be home.
If you don't, he'll be pissed.
It's like breaking a pinky promise. Don't do that.
He'll bop you in the face
Jeongin (Fennec Fox)
Tumblr media
Fennec Fox
He's got big ass ears and they grow to accommodate his head in human form (Minho thinks it's hilarious)
He's got a cream color hair with white streaks in them
You can barely see the streaks, but the others tell you they're there
He's such a smart cookie until he gets in his animal form.
Then it's like he lost all brain cells except one. That 1 brain cell alternates between Hyunjin, Changbin, and Jeongin. Occasionally, Jisung will get it.
He kind of just rolls around
He's just there, chilling in the silence or the chaos
In animal form, he'll curl up on your lap or on the bed
If you're in an office, pull up a chair next to you and he'll lay in that instead
He may think you're mad at him, but just giving him rubs or head pats and he's good
He's kind of like a cat
You have to gage his moods
If he doesn't want to be touched, he'll look at you as you touch him like the picture on the left
Just "Mittens off, human" paws crossed and everything
Buy him clothes for his animal form. PLEASE
He loves them
Go to Pinterest or something and look up fennec fox in clothes or something and it's so flipping cute
You know that dolphin screech Jeongin does? That but in animal form...
The picture on the right for the header of this post?
That's him when he has too much energy, but no thoughts to put into action
As a human, he's like your average Jeongin, but with big ass fluffy ears and tail.
Sometimes he knocks stuff over with his tail and he's so sorry
After something crashed, you can hear him whine in the kitchen from your bedroom
The others don't tease him as much as they could because they know he's genuinely sad about it
Not insecure, but definitely annoyed with himself for messing something up again
Reassure him please.
Don't make it too obvious because then he'll shut down and tune you out
Not intentionally, it's just his brain's self defense.
It doesn't want to be reminded of his mistakes.
It's the main reason why he likes staying in his animal form.

-Hybrid Hearts
Summary: Y/N works a clinic specifically for hybrids what happens when eight hybrids with very different personalities end up in her care
Words: 2.7k
Tumblr media
Chapter 1: Lone Wolf
The bright morning light crept through your window curtains, signaling that it was time to begin your workday.
You groggily groaned picking up your phone from your bedside table. You quickly opened the messages to see that you have a few text messages from Luna.
Luna: We have a slight problem at the clinic you might want to get here fast.
You read the message and quickly realized that something unusual was happening. Your work always had unexpected turns, since you dealt with hybrids after all.
Hybrids weren't a new discovery they been around for the last 30 years , but they were still a mystery to most people. Half-human and half-animal, hybrids had unique physical and mental characteristics that often made them challenging to treat. As a veterinarian who specialized in hybrid care, you had seen it all, or so you thought.
You quickly got dressed and headed to the clinic, wondering what sort of problem Luna was talking about. When you arrived, you found Luna waiting for you outside the door.
"Thank god you're here," she said, sounding relieved. "We have a new hybrid patient and they're in pretty bad shape."
You followed her inside, where you could hear faint growling and snarling. As you approached the examination room, you could see that the door was slightly ajar, and a pair of glowing brown eyes shone through the crack.
Luna pushed the door open, revealing a large cage in the middle of the room. Inside, you could see a wolf hybrid lying on the ground, panting heavily.
"Do you know if he has a owner." You asked Luna.
Luna shook her head. "No, we found him wandering around the streets. He's not wearing any identification tags, and no one has come forward to claim him yet."
You nodded, understanding the situation. " It wasn't uncommon for hybrids to be abandoned or lost, especially if they were injured or sick.
"Let's take a look at him," you said, approaching the cage cautiously. The wolf hybrid growled at first, but then whimpered in pain as you examined his wounds. You noticed he had a bunch of cuts and bruises all over him. You need to know what happened to him.
"Would you mind sharing with me what happened?" You queried the wolf hybrid. His gaze met yours. "Why should I? All humans are the same; they treat us terribly," he spat out with disgust.
He's not wrong about that. Most people think of hybrids as being less than human, which is why so many end up in abusive homes or on the streets. The government is beginning to put laws in place to protect them, yet they have a long way to go.
You let out a deep sigh, understanding the wolf hybrid's viewpoint. You couldn't blame him for feeling the way he did. After all, hybrids had been mistreated and viewed as second-class citizens for far too long. You gently placed your hand on the hybrid's back trying to reassure him that you were there to help.
"I know that some humans have done terrible things to your kind, but not all of us are like that," you said softly. "I'm here to help you, and I won't let anyone hurt you."
The wolf hybrid looked you over carefully, his eyes darting around for any indication of treachery. He wasn't quite ready to trust you yet but he was still willing to tell you what happened. A slight sadness and fury tinged his words as he spoke. "I was scavenging near an alley when a group of teenagers ambled by. They saw me and started chucking stones at me, but that didn't satisfy them."
The wolf hybrid's voice trailed off, and he let out a low growl, his eyes glinting with anger. You could see the pain in his eyes and feel the rage in his voice, and it's clear to you that he had been hurt badly by those kids.
"Go on," you urged him gently. "What happened next?"
The wolf hybrid let out a deep sigh, his eyes closing briefly as if to block out the memory. "They cornered me and started hitting and kicking me . I tried to fight back, but there were too many of them. They beat me until I couldn't stand anymore."
You felt a wave of anger and disgust wash over you. How could anyone be so cruel to an innocent creature? It's beyond your comprehension, and it's something that you could never understand.
"Well Your safe now I'm here to help you." You grabbed your clipboard looking for an empty room to place him but turns out all the rooms were occupied.
You sighed getting Luna's attention " what's wrong Y/N"
"All the rooms are occupied," you explained. "We need to find a place to put him where he can rest and recover."
Luna thought for a moment before suggesting, "Well, I have an idea why not let him stay at your house." She said.
The idea of having a hybrid stay at your house scared you of course you knew a lot about them but having one in your own home felt like a whole new level of responsibility. You looked at him for a moment , taking in his wounded state and the fear in his eyes. You knew that you couldn't just leave him at the clinic, not after what he had been through.
"Okay," you said hesitantly. "I'll take him home with me." The wolf hybrid scoffed at the idea " I would rather die then go home with you."
The wolf had no desire to step into a home once more after his experience there, not wanting to be reminded of the pain he endured.
You understood his hesitation and nodded your head sympathetically. "I understand your reluctance, but you need a place to rest and recover, and unfortunately, there are no other options right now." You paused for a moment before adding, "Plus, no one will hurt you in my home. I promise you that."
The wolf hybrid looked at you skeptically before finally nodding his head in agreement. "great let me grab a few things then we get going ok." You left the room with Luna following behind you.
As you collected the essential materials, a sense of apprehension filled the air. It was unlike anything you had done before- incorporating a hybrid into your residence. "Y/N, this will be beneficial for you - considering you live alone, he could provide companionship as well as something to nurture."
You nodded, understanding what Luna was trying to say. It was true; living alone could get a little lonely sometimes. But you were still apprehensive about bringing a wild animal into your home. But you knew it was the right thing to do. Hybrids deserved to be treated with kindness and respect, just like any other creature.
After grabbing everything you needed, you headed back to the examination room where the wolf hybrid was waiting for you. You opened the cage door and gestured for him to come out. "Come on, let's get you out of here," you said softly.
The hybrid took a hesitant step forward, then another. You could see the apprehension in his eyes, but also a glimmer of hope and trust. Slowly, he made his way out of the cage, and you led him out of the clinic, Luna following behind.
The sun had disappeared behind a blanket of gray clouds and rain. The downpour started just as you looked at the hybrid. Most hybrids don't care for getting wet, apparently. When you reached out to stroke his fur, he growled and swatted your hand away. "Sorry," you apologized quickly. "I should have asked if it was okay to touch you first."
The wolf hybrid snorted dismissively, seemingly uninterested in your apology. You sighed, knowing that it would take time for him to trust you fully. For now, you needed to focus on getting him to your house safely.
You drove the short distance to your house in silence, the hybrid sitting quietly in the back seat. He watched the world fly by. It seemed he was lost in thought.
When you arrived at your house, the hybrid didn't move at first. He seemed unsure of what to do next, his eyes darting around the unfamiliar environment. You got out of the car and opened the back door, gesturing for him to come out. "Come on, let's get you inside," you said softly.
The hybrid hesitated for a moment before stepping out of the car. His eyes flickered around, taking in the surroundings. You could sense his fear and discomfort, and you knew that it would take time for him to adjust to this new environment.
You led him inside, showing him around and introducing him to the various rooms in the house. His eyes widened in curiosity as he took in the sights and smells, his nose twitching as he sniffed the air.
"Make yourself at home," you said, gesturing for him to sit down on the couch. "I'll go get you something to eat."
You went into the kitchen and prepared a mealfor the wolf hybrid, making sure to include all the nutrients he needed to recover from his injuries. As you cooked, you couldn't help but think about what had happened to him. It was clear that he had been through a lot, and you couldn't imagine what it must have been like to experience that kind of cruelty.
When you brought the food to the living room, the wolf hybrid was curled up on the couch, his eyes closed in what appeared to be a state of rest. You set the food down on the coffee table and sat down next to him, watching as he slowly opened his eyes and looked at you.
"Here you go," you said softly, pushing the bowl of food toward him. "I hope you like it."
The wolf hybrid sniffed the food briefly before taking a cautious lick. He seemed to like it, as he began to eat it eagerly, his eyes closing in pleasure. You watched him eat for a moment before sighing and looking away. It
was clear that he was still afraid of humans, and it would take time for him to trust you completely.
But you were determined to help him, to make him feel safe and loved. You knew that it wouldn't be easy, but you were willing to put in the effort. The wolf hybrid deserved a second chance at life, and you were going to make sure that he got it. So you sat there, watching him eat, a sense of determination filling your heart as you vowed to do everything in your power to help him heal.
"What should I call you?" You posed the question to the creature, feeling odd referring to him as 'wolf' or 'hybrid'. He shook his head softly in response, replying that he had never been given a name before.
You thought for a moment, considering the different names that you could give him. Suddenly, an idea came to mind. "How about... Chan?" you suggested tentatively.
The wolf hybrid looked at you, his eyes narrowing in thought. After a moment, he nodded his head in agreement. "I like that," he said softly.
A smile spread across your face as you heard him speak positively . It was a small victory, but it meant a lot. It showed that he was starting to trust you, to feel comfortable around you.
"Welcome to my home, Chan,". You glanced at the clock on the wall. It was time to turn in for the night. "It's getting late," you said. "Let me show you to your room."
Chan looked at you apprehensively, his eyes full of fear. You could sense his reluctance, and you knew that it would take time for him to feel comfortable enough to sleep in a room. "It's okay," you reassured him softly. "I promise that you'll be safe here."
With that, you led him down the hallway to a room that you had prepared for him. It was a cozy space, with a comfortable bed and soft blankets. You could tell that Chan was impressed, as he sniffed around the room, his eyes taking in every detail.
"Here you go," you said, gesturing for him to sit on the bed. "This is your room. You can sleep here tonight, and we can talk more in the morning."
Chan nodded his head, his eyes full of gratitude. You could see the exhaustion etched on his face, and you knew that he needed rest. So you left him to sleep, closing the door quietly behind you.
As you stepped outside of his room, you couldn't help but feel a sense of worry. You had never taken care of a hybrid before, and you knew that it would be a challenging task. But you were determined to do your best, to make sure that Chan had everything he needed to feel comfortable and safe.
You went to bed that night with a heavy heart, your thoughts consumed by the task ahead of you. But as you drifted off to sleep, you knew that you had made the right decision in bringing Chan into your home. And you vowed to do everything in your power to help him heal, to make him feel loved, and to give him the second chance at life that he deserved. Tomorrow was your day off maybe you'll take him shopping but for now, it was time to rest and prepare for the journey ahead.

Tumblr media
“He’s here, come on, (Y/n), we can go home and watch a movie and maybe draw some more,” “That -” YAWN “- sounds nice” “Haha, tired I see,” And so we got in the car, I barely sat down before my eyes were closing. The last thing I remember is hearing a low humming from Hyunjin as I rested my head against his shoulder before I fell into a deep sleep.
Tumblr media
Hyunjin’s POV
As soon as we sat down in the car, (Y/n) fell asleep with her head resting against my shoulder. I managed to move around to buckle her seatbelt without waking her. I leaned my head against hers as I lowly hummed an unfamiliar tune. Every now and then, (Y/n)’s body would twitch a little, not enough to wake her but enough to keep her from being comfortable. I recognized the twitching, Jisung does it sometimes too. I have done it a couple of times.
Anxiety.
Her anxiety is making her twitch, shiver, flinch even. That explains why she’s tired all the time, the anxiety twitches are keeping her from resting properly. I wish we knew more about what she has been through so that we can help her.
Her ears twitch every once in a while too, though after doing some research on bunny hybrids, that was a normal trait for them. Her breathing was slightly too quick to be relaxed, but the way she nestled into my shoulder made my heart race. She was so cute. I loved her just as I loved the other members. She might not have been with us for that long, but it didn’t matter. Now that she’s in our lives, everything feels complete.
I looked up and out of the car window, seeing that we were only about two minutes away from our apartment. “(Y/n), sweetie, bunny, wake up, we’re home,”
(Y/n)’s POV
“(Y/n), sweetie, bunny, wake up, we’re home,” Home. That is such a nice word. I slowly came back to consciousness as I heard Hyunjin’s sweet voice calling my name. As I opened my eyes, I noticed that I was resting against Jinnie’s shoulder. As I understood what I was doing, old habits took over me and I jerked myself away from him. “Sorry,” “It’s alright, bunny. I don’t mind. It was cozy. Now, come on, let’s go home,” “Home,” Before I could stop myself I repeated the word home, Hyunjin looked down at me, his eyes looked glassy, almost as if they were filled with tears. “Yes, home.”
The car came to a stop and we got out of the car. Hyunjin stretched out his hand and smiled at me, his eyes darting almost nervously between his hand and my eyes. I carefully took his hand, afraid that this was all a dream and if I moved too quickly, it would disappear. We went into the building, the elevator was empty for the first time since I came here. Elevators usually spike my anxiety. Reminding me of my past.
Flashback
When I was nine years old I was still with my first owner. The breeders who had my parents. They weren’t exactly mean, but neither were they nice. They only cared about the hybrids they had of the highest quality. I was not one of those. They fed me enough to keep me healthy, but they gave me no love. They never spoke with me, they never pet me, they barely even looked at me.
I hadn’t seen my parents or siblings since I was three. I felt isolated and lonely. The only friend I had was a desert fox who lived in the cage beside mine. He was also an outcast like me. The breeders said his personality wasn’t good, it didn’t fit his species. I didn’t understand what they meant, he was the nicest person I knew, before I got to know SKZ that is.
One day, one of the breeders came up to me with a scary man. The unfamiliar man stared at me with a weird, creepy look in his eyes. I backed away as far as I could in my cage. My whole body shivering, my instincts screamed at me to run but I was stuck. I couldn’t escape. “I believe this one fits everything you wanted. Quite, small, obedient, ugly.” The breeder and the man laughed loudly, the creepy man agreed, saying he’ll take me. I began crying. Begging the breeder to let me stay. The fox boy in the cage beside me raised his voice trying to stop them from taking me.
“No! Don’t take her, take me. Please, I’ll do anything, just don’t take her. Please, please, let her stay. NOO!” “Please, I want to stay. Please, I don’t want to go, please, help,” “(Y/n)!” That was the last time I saw him. He screamed my name as they dragged me out of the room filled with cages of neglected hybrids.
The creepy man dragged me out of the breeding facility with a spiked collar. The spikes dug into my neck, causing permanent damage to my skin. Silent tears ran down my cheeks as no sound would leave my throat. It was my first car ride, and I didn’t want to ever get in another car, at least not with this man. I was nine years old, and he hit me, laughed at me, called me names, and told me how he would cut me and torture me for his own pleasure.
When we arrived at wherever he was taking me, he once again dragged me along with the spiked collar. There was a tall building in front of us, and we were walking straight toward it. I tried calling for help as I saw many people around us, some of them looked but after seeing the man who was dragging me they all looked away, others didn’t look at all.
When we came inside the building, we went into a strange small room, a loud *ding* could be heard as the doors opened. The tiny room was packed with people. I didn’t want to go, but the man pulled me inside, the spikes had now penetrated my skin completely, and drops of blood ran down my neck. “Nice toy you got there boss,” A few people said the same thing, as they all stared at me. Their voices harsh on my sensitive ears as they all laughed loudly.
“Yes, we all will be able to enjoy this one. I made sure to buy a young one, so it will last long,” They spoke about me as if I were an object and not a living being. “Mm, so many fun things to do with such an ugly toy. I know it’s young but I hope it becomes prettier in the future,” My heart hurt from hearing what they said. It was true. I wasn’t pretty, that’s why the breeders didn’t keep me. It was why I didn’t deserve love.
During the five years, that I lived with that man and his friends, the elevator was a common place for verbal and later on, physical abuse. Whenever someone saw me walking around the building, they would drag me into the elevator, hitting me, kicking me, spitting on me, pulling my ears, my hair, or my tail. They would curse at me, scream at me, and tell me why I didn’t deserve to live. After five years, they kicked me out after I became numb to their advances.
I stopped speaking. I stopped crying, I stopped eating, I didn’t react to anything anymore, no matter what they did, I never reacted. I felt nothing but emptiness. I wanted nothing more than to die. If this was all my life was worth, I didn’t want to continue. When I stopped reacting, I stopped being fun for them so they kicked me out. Hoping I would die on the streets, all alone. Alone. That was all I knew how to be.
Elevators always remind me of the scars around my neck, the scars that littered my body from the abuse it suffered all those years, and most importantly, elevators remind me of how ugly and worthless I am in the eyes of many.
End of flashback
As I was pulled into a flashback, my breathing picked up, I couldn’t breathe, my eyes couldn’t seem to focus on anything, my knees felt weak, I found my own eyes in the mirror, it felt as if I looked into the eyes of my terrified nine-year-old self.
“(Y/n)! (Y/n), bunny, hold on, it’s okay, just breathe, hey, I’m here,” Hyunjin’s voice seemed far away as if he was in another room. I felt his gentle touch on my arms, I knew it was him, I knew I was safe, but my body didn’t understand. The doors to the elevator flew open with a *ding*, I used my full strength and pushed myself out of the elevator, landing on the floor outside. My arm hurt from landing on it awkwardly, but all I focused on was getting as far away from the elevator as possible.
“(Y/n), please breathe, please,” My eyes slowly stopped darting around, they focused on Hyunjin’s eyes which were filled with tears as he looked down at me. Worry was written all over his handsome face. I didn’t want him to cry, especially not because of me.
Third Person POV
(Y/n) looked up at Hyunjin as he leaned over her. The hybrid was lying on the floor, shaking, struggling to breathe, teardrops running down her cheeks. The dancer leaned over the scared hybrid, trying to calm her down, his own eyes and cheeks stained with tears, his heart hurt from seeing (Y/n) like this.
One of (Y/n)’s arms reached up and gently caressed Hyunjin’s cheek. Her hand was cold against his warm cheek. She still trembled as she tried to catch her breath. Before she knew what she was doing, she leaned her head up, her hand gently guiding Hyunjin’s head down. Their lips barely met, the kiss so gentle it almost didn’t happen, but it did. Hyunjin’s heart raced a thousand times quicker as he realized what they were doing. He was kissing (Y/n). (Y/n) was kissing him.
Hyunjin broke away from the kiss, a surprised look on his face as he looked down at the bunny. (Y/n) too looked surprised. She hadn’t realized what she had done, it seemed to be pure instinct. “I’m sorry,” (Y/n) whispered as she looked away, her hand falling from his cheek. “It’s okay. I liked it. Um, how about we get off the floor and go inside the apartment, to talk about what happened,” (Y/n) nodded in response, too embarrassed to speak.
They went inside the apartment, first going into separate rooms to change clothes. (Y/n) got dressed in the fuzzy pajamas that Jeongin reminded her they had bought, it was warm and cozy. It smelled of Jeongin and Felix. (Y/n) inhaled their scents, it calmed her down. She still felt embarrassed over kissing Hyunjin, she had never done something like that before. Her first kiss. Her first kiss.
Hyunjin was changing into some comfortable clothes too. His mind completely focused on what happened only minutes prior. (Y/n)’s soft lips against his own. Her cute eyes opened wide as she realized what she had done. Her small hand against his cheek. The way she pulled him in. It was intoxicating. He wanted more, but he had to hold himself back. (Y/n) probably didn’t mean to kiss him, she wasn’t ready, he thought. Especially after what happened in the elevator.
Hyunjin walked into the living room and found (Y/n) sitting on the couch. One of her legs bounced anxiously on the floor. “Hey, do you want some water or tea, or maybe some hot chocolate?” “Water please,” “Alright, I’ll be right back with it,” (Y/n) was nervous, and anxious, thinking that she had truly ruined this now. She kissed Hyunjin without his permission, he was probably going to call the others and tell them that she couldn’t stay. That was what (Y/n) thought.
“Here you go, bunny,” (Y/n) carefully took the cold water bottle from his hand, opened it, and took a sip. The cold water calmed her burning throat from the panic attack she had just a few minutes ago. “Would you be okay with telling me what happened in the elevator?” “It sparked some old memories,” “Could you tell me more about these memories? You don’t have to but I want to be able to help you, we all do, if you don’t feel ready to talk about it now, that’s okay, but please don’t be afraid to open up about what you’ve been through,”
He spoke with so much sincerity in his voice and so much love in his gaze as he looked into the hybrid’s eyes. (Y/n) took a deep breath before she told him of the flashback she had. New tears clouded her eyes, Hyunjin embraced her in a calming hug as she cried and told him of all the horrible things the man had put her through.
“Oh bunny, I’m so sorry, no one should ever have to go through such things,” Hyunjin held (Y/n) tighter as he did his best to calm her down. They stayed like that for a good 20 minutes until the door opened. Minho, Felix, and Jeongin stepped inside. Once they came into the living room they found Hyunjin and (Y/n) curled up on the couch together. The hybrid was still slightly shaking from crying and going through all of those memories twice.
“What happened?” Felix said as soon as he realized that (Y/n) had been crying. “It’s a long story and I don’t think (Y/n) has it in her to tell it again or be present for it to be told,” Hyunjin answered, Minho noticed that the tall boy’s eyes were glossy, he too had been crying. “Alright, we’ll talk later. Now, do you want to watch a movie, eat something, sleep, or something else?” (Y/n) sniffled a little before she leaned away from Hyunjin’s warm embrace. “I’d like to take a bath if that is fine,” “Of course, come on, I’ll set it up for you,” Jeongin said as he gave her the wide smile she loved.
Jeongin tried to cheer (Y/n) up by joking around and smiling. His presence did make her feel a bit better. Once again, he reminded her of that fox from the breeding facility. Warm, safe, familiar. His eyes were kind, with so much love and adoration in them. His touch was warm and gentle. Jeongin was happiness to her. “Do you want some bath salts in the bath?” “What’s that?” “Oh, they’re like tiny crystals that make the bath smell nice,” “Do you like those?” Jeongin smiled even wider at the question. “Yeah, they’re nice, we have a couple of different scents, this one’s my favorite!” He held out a little bottle with blue crystals, opened the lid, and let (Y/n) take in the scent. The hybrid inhaled the scent, it instantly reminded her of Jeongin.
“Do you like it?” “Yeah, it, um, it smells like you,” “I’ll put some in the bath then,” Jeongin poured a few of the crystals into the warm water filling the tub. “There we go! Your towel is here, the same spot as always, and you have your clothes here, and I think that’s all,”  Jeongin was about to walk over to the door and leave (Y/n) in the bathroom. “Wait,” (Y/n) took a hold of his hand.
“Hmm, what’s wrong?” “Can you just stay with me for a little while longer, I don’t want to be alone just yet,” “Alright, I’ll stay with you as long as you want me to,” They sat down on the floor, (Y/n) still held onto his hand. Jeongin kept an eye on the water in the tub, making sure it didn’t fill too much. “Can you hug me?” “Of course,” Jeongin turned off the water before he opened his arms and (Y/n) scooted closer into his embrace.
“(Y/n), remember what we talked about earlier?” “About all of us facing challenges in the past?” “Yeah, you don’t ever have to be ashamed of what you’ve been through, none of it was your fault. We won’t ever hurt you, nor will we let anyone hurt you,” (Y/n) held onto Jeongin just a little tighter. “Can I tell you something about what happened today?” “Of course, if you want to tell me, then I’ll gladly listen,” “I’m embarrassed and worried about it,” “It’s okay, whatever it is, it will be fine,” “I kissed Hyunjin,” Jeongin looked down at (Y/n), not believing his ears.
“What?” His voice was shocked, yet his eyes still held nothing but love and adoration. Making (Y/n) feel a little less worried. “I kissed Hyunjin. I didn’t even notice, I didn’t know what I was doing, it just happened,” “Okay, do you regret it?” “Um, I don’t know. I liked it, I think. I’ve never done anything like it before. I’m just scared that he’s angry with me,” “I promise you, that he is not angry. I’m certain he’s over the moon with joy. We all love you, and kissing is a sign of love, so none of us would be angry with you for kissing us, we just want you to do it when you want to, we don’t want to pressure you into anything,”
(Y/n) listened intently as Jeongin spoke, his voice brought the bunny comfort. Her eyes explored his face. From his warm eyes to his nose, to his sharp jawline, and stopping at his lips. Something within her, yearning to feel his lips against hers. Even though the kiss with Hyunjin had barely happened, she yearned for more. She yearned to feel love in its purest form.
“Can I… Can you, kiss me?” Jeongin smiled widely, his eyes seemed to sparkle as he leaned a little closer. “Are you sure?” (Y/n)’s eyes once again darted between his eyes and his lips. She felt safe. She felt loved. “Yes, I’m sure,” Jeongin leaned even closer, his heart racing. He was nervous and excited. The bunny felt the same as she leaned a little closer. Their lips were only mere millimeters apart. (Y/n) closed her eyes, fully trusting Jeongin, just as she would with any of the eight boys she now called her home. Jeonging couldn’t help but smile as he too closed his eyes.

panting could be heard from the girl hidden in a long ago abandoned house.
"ahh, shit-" she breathed under her breath, exhausted from running, punching, and killing all day. She started searching carefully throughout the house, carefully to not make too much noise, walking and finding things that might be helpful. After putting all the things she found in the middle of the room, things such as cans of fruits and food, screwdrivers, knives, soap, and ladies' necessities, she decided to choose what she exactly needed and go on a run outside, maybe find some abandoned shops or hopefully a pharmacy, as she was in a new city.
while walking she stumbled across an alley and decided to go in it to rest, as she did not see or hear any of those horrifyingly disgusting creatures she sat down close to one of the big metal trash bins, fortunately for her, it did not smell that bad, as it has had not been used for at least 5 months. while she carefully opened one of the food cans she found, she suddenly heard something, or rather someone walking. Scared she rapidly put the can down and got up with her knife to kill who was coming next.
"hey- woah, woah, mate slow down, I'm peaceful!" he whisper shouted while putting his hands up making her put the knife down and look at him with a serious face. "I'm warning you if you try stealing from me, I won't hesitate to murder you," she said sternly while sitting down and starting to eat from the can. But he continued staying on guard next to her. "what are you doing?" she looked at him weirdly but he doesn't say anything, only smiles and sits next to her, after approximately 2 minutes the hands him the other half of the can that she didn't finish intentionally. "eat" she said not looking at him. "woh thanks!" he exclaimed and smiled brightly "didn't eat something non expired in ages haha" her face fell after hearing that. How, how, what happened here. she thought while slowly peeking to look at his shadowed dirty face. poor guy was all she could muster in her thoughts. "want more?" she looked at him while handing him another can, now with a different type of food. " no, no, I can't, it would be too much! I don't have anything in return!" he said while shaking his hands showing that he meant it. "No, really take it, I have more, found a house, 30 minutes away, very quiet no monsters, and it has a lot of food. maybe you would want to come with me, you know, two is better than one," she said while scratching her back of the neck.
"Really?- are you joking with me? because if not I'm coming!" he smiled while sitting up and holding his hand to her. As she took it, first time making skin-to-skin contact with the stranger she felt a spark in her heart and worms in her stomach, no she felt butterflies, she shacked her head gently and started to walk a little bit in front of him to lead the way.
On their way to the house, they chatted and found out that his name was Lee Felix, an Australian. They encountered 3 zombies too but decided to just run off, as it was night time and they wouldn't be seen.
Arrived at the house she shows him around, and he helps her to patch the broken windows and unnecessary rooms.
While searching for a good room Felix found a basement, the basement of the said house, deciding to investigate right then, as it was night and the zombies were mostly asleep and easier to kill. Big luck for them was that inside was only one, a guy, the owner of the house they declared. After y/n killed it and Felix helped by dragging it outside the house in front of the yard and throwing it on the fence, as protection from other fellow zombies, because if they smelled the blood of the said zombie on the fence they would pass the house and not get in even if heard any sounds from inside. Of course, it would smell bad but good thing that the smell didn't get too close to the house.
After rearranging the whole basement, meaning, getting all the things in the living room, then putting on a big bed for two inside the room, of course, cleaning it very well. They might have been in the apocalypse but to be clean still helps. good thing the basement was as big as the house, large enough to put some of the kitchen and bedroom furniture down, creating a little house, sadly inside the basement was only the installation for water, not the toilet too, so the bathroom remained inside the house. Not too big of a problem as the house looked like it never been touched by the filthy hands of those zombies.
"few, we're finally done!" Felix said happily while slumping on the bed."ey get your dirty butt off the bed, you need to change and shower....." she realized that the water from the bathroom didn't work anymore, only the one in the basement, the reason being that the installation was made so that water will work even without electricity, but that only in the basement. " haha shit, we got to wash with cold water" she sighed as she plopped next to the bed resting her back on the bed leg next to a now floor sitting Felix. "haha jokes on you, not washing with cold water" he laughed "then sleep on the floor"

“Are you hard again? Did you go and sniff her bed?” Hyunjin teasingly asks, lightly palming the wolf, and Jisung clicks his tongue, slapping Jinnie's hand away. “I miss her. I feel like her period lasted forever this month.” He says, making the fox chuckle. “Just two more days than the usual.” He says, watching as Jisung sits on the sofa and sighs. “It was a lot...” Jisung complains again and Jinnie scoffs. “So needy.” He says, easily managing to get on Jisung's nerves. “Yeah, well, don't pretend you don't feel the same.” He tells him. “I could smell your cum on her bed even if you got rid of the pillowcase.” He says, bringing some red to Jinnie's cheeks. “We have to figure out how to use that freaking washing machine.” He says, making Jisung laugh. “Yeah.” He agrees, sighing right after as he throws his head back in the sofa. “I miss her...” He whines, making the fox feel some kind of way. “Why did she have to go on a business trip right away?” He complains and Hyunjin's heart feels a little heavy too. Jisung doesn't have to explain anything to him. He knows by first hand how he's feeling. It's not just the sex, even if that's the only thing they'd mention outloud, but their entire self hurts when you're away.
“Well, she should be back today.” Hyunjin tells him, kneeling in front of him and making himself some room between his legs. Jisung rolls his eyes. “What are you doing?” He asks, and Jinnie chuckles softly. “Stop whining and just let me help you out.” He says with his hands already on Jisung's joggers. He stares at him for a second then he looks away. “Whatever.” He says, and Hyunjin smiles before pulling down his pants. “You know...” He says before running his tongue from the base to the tip. “You can also practice with me if you want before she comes back.” He suggests. “What are you talking about now?” Sungie asks, then he closes his eyes for a moment as he blushes while Hyunjin squeezes his tip. “You know, so you won't hurt y/n next time.” He tells the wolf before taking him in his mouth and Jisung clicks his tongue. “As if...” He says. A moan scapes him as Hyunjin works on him. “It's way harder to control myself around y/n.” He says and Hyunjin stops just to laugh. “Oh, I know... You're hard 24/7 whenever she's ovulating. It's kinda cute.” He says, making Jisung blush. “You're talking too much today.” He tells him, grasping on his hair and pulling. “Why don't you just finish what you started and go away?” He suggest, pulling his head closer to his shaft again, and Hyunjin giggles, waggling his tails. “Mhm~” He happily says before taking him in his mouth again.
~~~~~~~
“You think they'll be okay with Channie?” Your work friend asks and you chuckle. “Nope.” You honestly say, making the hybrid sitting in the back seat scoff as he smiles. “They will be.” He distractedly says as he plays on his phone. You don't know him a lot, but he sure has a more dominant kind of vibe than your hybrids. Wonder how big of a problem that'll be with two alfas at home. “Let me go in first just in case.” You tell them, and they both agree.
You enter the cabin not knowing what to expect and find your hybrids waiting on a defensive stand. “You brought another wolf.” Hyunjin says with a disgusted face. “A human too.” Jisung adds. “I- Did... but it's my friend's hybrid who as you already know is also in the car. I didn't bring Channie so he can stay with us, you don't have to worry about that.” You explain, but that doesn't seem to make them feel more at ease. “Then what is he doing here?” Jisung asks. “Well, my friend had to leave her apartment for the night and I offered our spare room.” They don't seem too happy about it but they don't say anything else either. “I'm sorry.” You apologize, petting their heads. “I haven't tell her about us either yet so we should probably...” You start saying and they both whine, pouting. “But you've been away for so long!” Jisung complains. “Ah, I'm sorry. I know...” You pout too before kissing them, and Jisung grasps on your hips as he deepens the kiss. Hyunjin on your back side kissing your neck.
God... they're both so hard already. And you've missed them so much too.
Your phone chimes and you come back to Earth. “Ah, I have to go get them.” You tell your hybrids, kissing them again, and Hyunjin helps Jisung let go of you.
~~~~~~~~~~~
“Woah, y/n. Can't believe you never had us over before. Your house is so pretty.” Your friend says. “Thank you~” You distractedly answer. You're kinda worried about your hybrids mood right now. “Hey.” Chan says, and they reluctantly answer in the same way. It's a bit tense in the room but it also feels okay enough. “It looks like they're okay with Channie being around. That's a relief.” Your friend says. Sweetely ruffling her hybrid's hair. “Do you mind if I leave to take a quick shower then? It was a long day.” She asks and you nod and show her the way to the bathroom followed by Chan. You can hear Jisung's growls from there, so you take a look at him and Jinnie from the top of the stairs as soon as your friend is settled in. Their eyes are on you, but also on the wolf behind you. You hadn't seen Jisung this annoyed since Hyunjin appeared on your doorstep for the first time. The fox seems more relaxed, but you know that's just a façade. He's good at keeping appearances, but he's almost as possessive as the wolf.
You feel Channie's fluffy coat against your waist as he lovingly nudges your side while he walks by you in his wolf form on his way downstairs. And your heart skips a beat seeing how fast your hybrids have changed into their animal form too to jump in front of him. “Noooo. Omg.” You dramatically say. Rushing downstairs too. They growl at eachother for a bit as you panic on the side, but then Chan just stops and goes back to his hybrid form then sighs. “Sorry.” He apologizes, raising his hand. “I was just thankful to her for taking care of my master and me. I wasn't trying to scent her or anything.” He explains, and Jisung and Hyunjin go back to their hybrid form too. “I don't care. Don't touch her again.” Jisung says, speaking for both of them. Your hands trembling as you approach him. “O-Okay, he understands.” You tell him, resting your hand on his shoulder. “Let's sit down for a bit and watch some tv or something.” You suggest, and Jisung finally looks at you, seeing the concern in your eyes. His expression changes as he realizes how you're feeling, and he holds your hand to kiss it. “I'm sorry.” He apologizes, and you really feel like crying. It's not his fault. It's you who brought another wolf to your home.
Jisung sits by your side and Hyunjin on the floor between your legs so you can play with his hair. “Can I hug you?” Jisung asks, and your heart hurts knowing it's your fault too that he can't simply do it and freely be himself around you tonight. “Of course you can.” You tell him, and he snuggles into you, breathing you in as he buries his head on your tummy.
Ah... He's so obviously hard under those joggers, and you're getting wet just thinking about how big he is. Hyunjin's ears twitch before he turns his head around to look at you. His eyes drifting down to your pussy as he licks his lips. You gulp down some saliva trying to calm down your heart, but ah... That smirk. He probably can smell how wet you just got. Wait. Does that mean that Chan can smell it too? You try to take a peek at him, but your friend interrupts before you get to do it. “I'm all done! Should we make some dinner?” She asks, startling you all a bit, and you quickly throw a pillow at Jisung's lap as you stand up. “S-Sure.” You say.
~~~~~~~~~~
“You wanna eat something too?” You ask Jisungie seeing that he's taking a look inside the fridge. “I'll make whatever you want.” You say, sweetely combing his hair back with your fingers. “Mhm, it's okay. I'll go hunt in a bit, I need some air.” He says, closing the fridge's door, and you nod and hug him. Taking the chance to breath in his scent.
It makes your heart flutter.
You really want to kiss him, but you're not sure you can right in front of your work friend. You don't think she's one of those people who think hybrids and humans shouldn't date, but also, you don't know her all that well either, and those people tend to be really dangerous. So for now, it's safer for your hybrids to just pretend.
“What about you Jinnie~?” You ask, leaning over him in a backhug, and he reaches for your arms as he smiles. “I'm okay too, master. I'll leave in a bit.” He tells you. “Seems like we're all going hunting, then.” Chan says, and your friend stops cutting veggies to look at him. “But you're not used to these woods.” She worriedly says. “Your pack is far away from here too. Are you going to go alone?” She asks. “Right... I guess I could join Jisung's pack for the night.” He says, making Hyunjin chuckle at what in his head sounds like a ridiculous idea, and you all look at Jisung. He stares at you for a moment, noticing your worried look again, then he sighs. “Whatever, sure.” He agrees.
Dinner goes by peacefully somehow even if anyone could tell that specially Jisung is not happy to have Chan around.
You start with the dishes as your friend uses the bathroom for a minute since Hyunjinnie left for hunting a bit ago, and Jisungie is about to. “Go ahead, I'll let my master know I'm leaving too and meet you outside.” Chan tells him, and you can feel Jisung's eyes on both of you even though you're not facing either of them. “You take more than a minute and I'll come back to drag you out by your neck.” He calmly threats him, but Chan just scoffs, handing you some more dishes. “Understood.” He says, and Jisung reluctantly but finally leaves. “He's a feisty one, huh?” He says, and you can't help but chuckle. “Yeah. Can't really domesticate a wolf, can we?” You ask, but he simply smirks to himself as he finishes bringing all the dirty dishes to the counter.
“Sooo... You're fucking your hybrids, huh?” Chan whispers at you as he walks behind you to stand by your side, making your heart stop for a long second. You stare at him trying to figure out which one of the stuff you or they did in front of him gave it away, but he just smiles, leaning on the kitchen counter. “Don't worry, it's nothing they said or did specifically. We hybrids tend to be very zealous of our masters. It's not weird to be cautious of other hybrids.” He explains, but that only makes you more confused. “You're ovulating. I can smell it. That to us is like if you were on heat.” He answers without you even asking again. Can hybrids read minds too? “It seems like it smells extra nice for them.” He says. His eyes drifting to your lower body. “Their breaths and heartbeats spike everytime they get a hint of your scent up close...” He explains, meeting your eyes again. “And also...” He adds. “They got hard too many times about it.” He says, chuckling softly by the end of it. “I don't think my master noticed anyway. Wonder if they'll be able to keep their hands off you until we're gone, though.” He continues, looking at you with a smirk on his face. “I wouldn't be able to keep them off my master if she'd allowed me to touch her like that.” He says, chuckling again. “Chan...” You call him, not knowing very well what to say, then Jisung's howl makes you both look outside instead. “Guess I'll better go. Don't feel like being dragged by my neck tonight.” He says, pointing outside with his head. “W-Wait...” You call him, and he looks at you for a second before he speaks again. “Ah... Don't worry. I won't tell her. I wouldn't want to ruin the fun for someone else.” He says, soothing you a little, but you can only blush as he walks away.
What did he mean with ruining someone else's fun? Does that mean that you friend would be indeed against it? She seems to care about Channie so much though. She's always telling you about him at work too. How could someone who cares so deeply for her hybrid be one of those people who hurt them too?
~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's been a while now since they went hunting, and you and your friend decided to drink a bit. You, cause you really needed it after that conversation with Chan, and she... Well, cause she secretly and desperately needed it aswell.
“Ah, Hyunjinnie is so cute, Jisungie too.” She says. “But my Channie is the cutest.” She tells you, making you chuckle softly. “God, I love him so much.” She says. “Can't believe I was lucky enough to run into him in this lifetime.” She continues her little monologue, and you just listen, still thinking about your last conversation with Chan. “Y/n... Can I tell you something?” She asks, she really sounds drunk by now. “You can't tell anyone though.” She says, and your throat dries thinking about what she might want to confess. “Of course, I won't tell anyone.” You tell her, but she seems like she's thinking about it twice. “Hey, I promise.” You asure her and she sighs. “Alright... I...” She starts, taking a quick peek to the windows to make sure you're still alone. “I know a lot of people still don't like hybrids living out of the woods but... Since you live with two of them...” She says. You don't want to rush her but god, what is she going to say? Is it going to be hurtful or is she going to tell you something completely wholesome? “Yes?” You say, trying to keep her going. “I...” “Hey, I'm back.” Hyunjin interrumps opening the door, startling you both. “Noooo!” You dramatically say, startling him in return. He seems so confused. “Ah, excuse us a minute.” You say, taking Hyunjin out with you to a place your friend can't see from inside.
“Did I do somehing wrong?” He asks, pouting, and your heart hurts. “No, of course not, baby.” You soothe him. “We were just talking about something and she doesn't want anyone to hear.” You explain. “I'm sorry baby, can you stay away for a bit longer?” You ask stroking his hair, and he sighs but nods. “Thank you, it won't be long, I promise.” You say, tiptoeing a bit to peck his lips. “Are they around?” You ask and he shakes his head. “I can smell them, but they're far away.” He says, and you smile and pet him again. “Okay baby, then I'll text you in a bit so you can come back, yeah?” You say, checking that the phone hanging from his neck has still battery left, and he nods. “Is it really okay?” You insist and he chuckles before leaning over you. “Yes~ cause master will compensate me later, right?” He asks. You stare at him for a moment trying to figure out if he's being sweet or just naughty, but he doesn't look like he's teasing. “Sure.” You say, making him happily smile before he meets your lips.
“Where's Hyunjinnie? He is reaaally handsome by the way. I didn't say it before but I'm too drunk now.” Your friend babbles as soon as you're back, making you laugh. “Yes, he is.” You chuckle. “And he went to see if he could find Jisungie and Chan.” You lie, and she gasp. “No, they can't be back just yet.” She says, and you take a look to her cup. “Did you drink all of that while I was away?” You ask, and she nods. “I needed it.” She says, making you chuckle again. “Okay, girl. Can you tell me what's going on?” You ask, taking the chance to make yourself another drink and she sighs and just let it out. “I'm in love with Channie.” She says, and your eyes shift to her immediately. Your hands frozen, still holding onto the bottle.
“You are?” You simply ask in a serious tone, and she nods. “You think I'm weird?” She asks. “No, of course not. A lot of people date hybrids.” You say, as you finally pour the drink on your cup. “And actually... I'm dating mine too.” You admit and she gasps. “Which one?” She asks, making you blush. “Ah.... Both of them..?” You say, and she gasps even more dramatically, making you laugh. “I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier.” You apologize. “You know another bunch of people are still afraid of magic creatures. Even if they've been around since forever.” You say and she frantically nods as tears form in her eyes.
Ah she's cute. No wonder Channie fell for her too.
“Yes, I know.” She pouts. “I'm so happy I got to tell you. I was so afraid of saying it outloud cause I don't want anyone to hurt Channie. I'm always keeping my distances with him as much as I can because I'm so scared.” She says, hugging you. Maybe that's why Chan thought telling his master would be a bad thing.
You chuckle just relieved that you have someone to relate to. “Mhm~ Me too.” You agree. “Don't tell Channie or your babies though, I think I'll just talk to him when we're back home.” She says. “Of course.” You say, and she pouts again. “Do you think he'll feel weird about it?” She asks, and you can't help but laughing as Chan's words come back to your mind. “No, love. I think he'll be very happy.”
~~~~~~~~~~
“How did hunting go?” You ask Jinnie as soon as he comes back after you texted him, and he sighs. “Fine, I'm tired though. I should probably take a shower too.” He says. “Yeah?” You ask, cupping his face on your hands before making him lean over to kiss him. “Y/n...” He says, pointing at your friend with his eyes. “It's okay, she's really drunk.” You chuckle. “Also, I told her.” You whisper at him and he lets out a relieved sigh. “Thank goodness.” He says, picking you up to kiss you again. “Let's go wash up then.” He says, and you smile softly. “Shouldn't we wait for Jisung first?” You ask and he rolls his eyes. “What if...” He pecks your lips. “We shower now.” Another peck. “Then I fuck you real good.” He says, making your heart skip a beat before he meets your lips again. “And so we'll have to shower again~. I don't mind sharing you then.” He finishes, making you giggle. “That's your plan?” You ask, and he smiles. “That's my perfect plan, yeah.” He says, pecking your cheek. “Wow, seamless.” You chuckle. “Would you help me out getting her to bed first, though?” You ask, pointing at your sleepy friend, and he smiles softly. “Sure.”
You hear some howls as Hyunjin helps you place your friend in bed. “Channie...” She calls in her sleep, making you chuckle, and you look up to meet Jinnies eyes, but he's looking to where the howling came from. His ears twitching. “Jinnie... You think they're okay?” You ask him, but he's still focused on listening to them right now. “I think that was Jisung...” You tell him, pulling from his shirt and he finally responds. “Mhm.” He says, avoiding your eyes as he distractedly takes your friend's phone from her hands to put it on the nightstand.
You don't know what's going on with those howls, but you sure hope Jisung is okay. Jinnie would tell you though if that wasn't the case, so he must be worried about something else. You can't help but worrying about Jisung anyway.
“Are you okay?” You ask Jinnie, cupping his face on your hands, and he nods before you peck his lips. You know he won't tell you what's going on with him if he doesn't want to when he's like this, so you just let it slide for now. “Let's wash up then, yeah?”
~~~~~~~~~~~
“You always look so cute whenever you let me wash you.” You tell him as you squeeze some water over his head with a sponge. His fluffy ears falling down a bit as the water runs down his hair, but his eyes are on your naked body in front of him. You softly wash his face and he meets your eyes while you're at it. “Can I wash you too?” He asks and you chuckle but nod. “Mhm, why not?” You answer and his tails wiggle as good as they can while soaking wet.
You hand him the sponge with some bath gel on it and he takes it, making sure he doesn't skip any spot as he works on you. He makes you turn around after entertaining himself a bit with your tits, and you sit between his legs. “All done.” He says, ditching the sponge before pulling you into a backhug, pecking your cheek from behind.
“Jinnie, I'm sorry about everything that happened with Channie today.” You apologize as he plays with your fingers, and he scoffs. “You don't have to apologize about that.” He says, nuzzling your neck with his nose. “That guy is older than Jisung and I. Judging by his behaviour I'd say he probably has lived with humans too for a longer time.” He says. “Oh, that's why he looks so calm?” You ask, making him chuckle. “He's not as calm as he seems like.” He tells you and you dramatically gasp, turning around to look at him, making him chuckle. “I love that you guys can sense things that I can't. Tell me more.” You ask him, making him chuckle again. “To be honest, it's a miracle that Jisung didn't jump on his neck after he scented you.” He says, and you gasp again. “But Chan said he didn't do it...” You say, making him laugh. “Oh, he did it.” He laughs again. “He just lied about it and we let it slide not to cause further problems.” He says, and your heart hurts thinking of Jisung's face as he realized how nervous you were back then. “It's okay, he understands.” He tells you, making your heart skip a beat. “What the hell?” You playfully hit him. “Can hybrids read minds too or what?” You ask him, making him laugh. “Of course not.” He says as you go back to lean on him. “I don't need to read your mind to know what you're thinking most of the time though.” He says, lacing his fingers with yours. “I'm not always thinking of Jisung.” You pout, and he chuckles softly. “Oh, no, I know. I can tell when you're thirsting over my cock too.” He says, making you blush, but you just scoff. “...Shut up.” You tell him after a short silence, making him giggle.
~~~~~~~~~~~
“You remember when you called me a bitch?” You ask him as you both stare at the ceiling in bed, and he blushes but can't help laughing, making you laugh too. “I'm sorry.” He apologizes, covering his face with his hands now. “Oh, you are?” You ask, rolling over your belly to look at him. “You are such a brat to Jisung and I, and then you'll just melt as soon as we touch you.” You say, making him blush even more, and you scoff. “Master...” He calls, shyly looking at you as he keeps hiding behind his hands. “Mhm?” You answer, taking his hands away. His eyes move down and you follow them to his crotch, making you scoff again as his dick twitches. “Am I supossed to do something about that?” You ask, and he bites his lower lip to keep in a smile. “Are you gonna pretend you don't want to?” He ask, raising one of his eyebrows at you by the end of the sentence, and you smirk at him.
“Here.” You say, taking your shirt and panties off and throwing them at him. “Show me.” You tell him and he blushes. You tilt your head as you smile. “Show me what you do when I'm not here.” You command him, leaving him alone in bed, dragging the armchair in the corner of the room closer, so you can watch him while you sit. “I noticed my pillowcase and some of my clothes are missing again.” You tell him, and he gulps down some saliva but he doesn't even try to defend himself.
Your knees up, blocking the view of your body for him. “Just pretend I'm not here.” You tell him, and he hesitates for a moment, but soon he's rolling over your clothes, wallowing in your scent as he gets harder. “Master, you were so wet already...” He says as he sniffs on your underwear, making you secretly blush.
He grabs one of your pillows and lie your shirt over it before he starts humping it. Your panties on his hands so he can keep sniffing on them. Wish you could see his dick but almost his entire body is touching the bed. His eyes meet yours even if you asked him to pretend you weren't there, and he blushes again. “So embarrassing.” He says, shyly looking away, but you know he just got even harder, which makes you innevitable wet for him.
“Master...” He calls between moans. Ah, so desperate burying his face on your panties again. Your heart racing for him. Your throat dry. “Jinnie...” You call him without even thinking about it, and his eyes look up but he keeps thrusting on your bed. “I wanna see.” You tell him, and he whines before he rolls over as the good boy he sometimes is.
His body facing up now. Your shirt on his hand as he jerks himself off. He's covering his face with his free arm as more moans scape his lips. “Master...” He calls again as precum drips down his tip to your shirt. “Ah, Hyunjinnie... So needy.” You tease him. “I can't believe you let Jisung see you like this.” You keep teasing and he purses his lips as he blushes even more if possible. “You look so pretty though...” You praise him. “I bet it made his dick really hard too.” You say, and he closes his eyes, throwing his head back in pleasure. “Fuck...” He moans out, and you watch as he paints his own belly with his seed.
His chest going up and down as he catches up his breath. You chuckle softly and climb back in bed, laying on your tummy to meet his lips. “That was so hot, Jinnie~” You tell him before kissing him again, and he deepens the kiss as he distractedly wipes his cum with your shirt. You laugh at his action but don't nag at him for it. He smiles knowing very well what he just did, and pulls from you so you lie on top of him to keep making out.
His hands soothingly caressing your body as you kiss. His dick getting hard again. You smile on the kiss and sit astride him feeling his erection against your heat. “I almost forgot how big you actually are...” You tell him as you lightly grind on him and he smirks. Then you hear some voices and what it sounds like laughter from downstairs, and your heart skips a beat. “Y/n...” Hyunjin calls you, trying to stop you from going to check. But you just get out of bed and put on one of Hyunjin's shirts. “Don't go like that, wait...” Hyunjin says, but you're already rushing downstairs, so he changes into his animal form to chase you. A bunch of butterflies in your stomach as you recognize Jisung's voice coming from the other side of the door.
You open it to find him and Chan just chatting on the porch, laughing. He's covered in some mud and leaves and he has some scratches, but Chan does too. “Y/n?” He asks, looking at you head to toes kinda confused. “Are you okay?” You ask him. “Yes, yes of course.” He says and you just pout and run to him. He holds you, still a bit confused, and Hyunjin growls, catching his eye. He looks at the fox, who's looking at your naked legs, then he looks at Chan who's casually looking away. “Baby...” Jisung sweetely calls you. “Are you not wearing any underwear?” He asks as his hands feel your body over the tshirt, making you blush. “Ah...” You say, and Hyunjin walks over to block the view to anyone else. “I'm just gonna go.” Chan says.
“Sorry Jinnie, and thank you for covering me.” You thank him, petting his head, but he growls at you. “Y/n...” Jisung says, taking your hand away from the fox, and you look at him a bit confused before you look back at Jinnie. “Hyunjin...” You call him, trying to pet him again, but he just growls, showing his teeth this time. A chill runs down your spine as your heart stops. Then you break into a cold sweat seeing Jisung changing to his wolf form.
His ears pointing forward and his tail up in a threatening stand. Hyunjin's tails and ears down in a scared-defensive one, but the growls keep coming from both parts. Jisung snarls at him, and the fox whimpers, taking some steps back. “Jisung!” You call him, scared for the fate of the fox, and he takes a side glance at you for a second before huffing and going back to his hybrid form.
Hyunjin stands normally again, but he doesn't change to his hybrid form. He looks at you and Jisung, then huffes and walks away to disappear into the woods. ➽───────────────❥
A dense smoky fog blankets the ground as you navigate through it, obscuring everything but the silhouette of barren trees in the distance. Their branches reach out like grasping fingers, lending an air of malevolence to the journey. It feels as though every element of the landscape is vying for a piece of your soul.
The vampires, purportedly devoid of soul, remain unaffected by the eerie atmosphere. Jisung, however, betrays his unease by idly rubbing his amulet between his fingers. Though he maintains his stoic facade, a flicker of apprehension glimmers in his eyes as he catches your gaze. His smile is unfamiliar, lacking its usual warmth—it's akin to the polite nod given to a stranger who holds open a door.
This isn't the Jisung you're accustomed to.
Time is running short for Jisung. He's almost resigned to his fate, harboring a faint hope for a swift, painless end once this journey concludes. The prospect of returning home to face the slow decay of his essence over the remaining years weighs on him.
Thoughts of his long-lost fiancée flit through his mind. He's yet to encounter her in his frequent visits to the afterlife, but perhaps he'll spend his eternity seeking her out instead of perpetually evading death.
A tender glance at your stomach reveals his excitement at the thought of becoming an uncle. Even though he likely won't be around to see it happen, he finds comfort in knowing that your child will carry his legacy through their magical bloodline. Someday, they'll cross paths again.
The dark aura emanating from the coyote demon casts a shadow over the group. The silence is difficult to tolerate in its absolute stillness. Wasn't this supposed to be the most dangerous part of the journey? Only a day ago, you were under siege by demons, yet now, on the brink of the final stretch, there's nothing. Certainly, if there were something in the distance, any one of the supernatural creatures on your sides would be able to detect it.
Hyunjin listens to the crunch of twigs under his feet, lost in his thoughts. He ponders his mother's cryptic words, wondering if tonight will mark the loss of one of his brothers. Maybe even you. Hyunjin had grown incredibly fond of you, and you had earned his loyalty by rescuing him.
Hyunjin even entertains the idea that it should be him instead. Many uncertainties plague his mind. Returning to the mortal world has been a jarring experience, and true peace eludes him. Hyunjin wonders if he'll ever find any sort of peace, or if this perpetual unrest is his eternal atonement for past sins.
"Hold on, you see that?" Chan's voice breaks through Hyunjin's runaway train of thought, directing everyone's attention to a sudden clearing that appears before you, seemingly out of nowhere. The forest, dense and forbidding just moments ago, now yields to an expansive open space. The nearby sounds of water reach your ears, and squinting reveals the clearing's boundary—a cliff shrouded in thick fog. The archway formed by the bending trees at the cliff's edge invites them to peer beyond, where the natural sky seems to disappear. The impending sunrise has vanished from view, leaving behind a darkness that blankets the forest in a timeless haze.
"This must be it, I can feel it." Santiago declares, drawing a deep breath as he surveys their surroundings, his senses on high alert despite his formidable power.  He didn't clue anyone else in on it, but he had a strange feeling that they were being followed the last hour of travel. When nobody else made note of it, he attributed it to the twisted curse of this place and let it go.
Is this Abysmora? Or does it lie beyond this mysterious veil of smoke?
You wrap your arms around yourself tightly, a surge of nausea unsettling your stomach.
"What did you say?" Chan's concerned voice breaks through your thoughts as he turns to check on you, his expression puzzled by a sound he thought he heard.
"I didn't say anything," you reply, feeling perplexed. Had your thoughts accidentally slipped out aloud?
"Weird. I could've sworn I heard something," Chan mutters, his brow furrowing in confusion.
"Maybe your mind's playing tricks on you," Jisung suggests, joining the conversation. "I didn't hear anything either."
Chan is still skeptical, approaching you with a frown. He squats down to press his ear against your stomach, and you allow the gesture, gently resting your hand on his head, the weight of the moment heavy amidst the strangeness of the situation. Standing up, he scans the group, finding no confirmation of his earlier perception.
"Nobody else heard it?" he asks, met with shaking heads all around, including yours.
"In Abysmora, believe only half of what you see and nothing you hear," Santiago advises, breaking the tension. "I don't wanna tempt Fate; she can be cynical. We have to pay the Coyote demon before we cross over."  You avoid eye contact as Santiago looks at you again, instead averting your eyes to the coyote demon close to the water. Somehow, your anger has shed it's skin to reveal your fragile hurt. You wonder why you aren't worthy of the truth from him, even now, after all you had accomplished.
The sight of your mysterious guide at the cliff's edge draws your attention like a moth to a flame. It hovers there, a few inches above the ground, an enigmatic presence, its form shrouded in shadow. Despite its lack of eyes, it seems to peer intently at the ground below, as if deciphering some hidden message written in the earth itself. The air around it crackles with an otherworldly energy, adding to its mystique as it stands sentinel at the edge of the abyss.
"I'm sorry, pay him? With what?" Jisung's voice rings with alarm.
"What do you think, my friend?" Santiago responds, unsheathing his knife. "Our life force." With determined steps, he approaches the coyote demon, and the rest of the group follows suit. It remains unfazed, its attention fixed firmly on the ground. You cling tighter to Chan, who slows to let you grip his arm.
With a wave of its bony hand over the water's edge, a makeshift raft emerges from the foamy stream. It appears flimsy, like a discarded piece of construction material, hardly capable of supporting its own weight, let alone the rush of the rapids with you all atop it. Yet, it remains steady, held aloft by the coyote demon's power. Santiago steps forward first, slicing his palm and allowing blood to spill onto the demon's outstretched hand. Every drop is absorbed without a trace, prompting Felix to follow suit, eyeing the demon warily before adding his own sacrifice. Jisung, surprisingly, steps up next, his usually cautious demeanor overshadowed by the gravity of the situation.
Hyunjin's turn comes next, and as you and Chan approach, a sense of dread begins to well up within you. The fear seems to seep from the ground itself, creeping up your legs and constricting your throat.
Chan, hearing something again, looks down at you, his expression troubled. It's a sound he can't quite place, like a whisper in his mind, indecipherable yet unsettling. He blames it on Abysmora's influence, steeling himself against its effects as he watches Hyunjin make his offering.
As you and Chan present your own blood sacrifices, the sting of the cut fades, replaced by a tingling sensation that signifies rapid healing. Chan pulls you close, whispering words of reassurance as he guides you onto the raft. "I think she's helping you," he murmurs, speaking of the unborn child you two share and her mysterious powers. You wish those powers could alleviate the nausea that still lingers, but as if in response to your wish, the sickness vanishes without a trace.
Jisung's voice trembles with a mix of anxiety and bravado as he settles onto the raft. "How sure are we that we’re gonna survive this waterfall drop?" he asks, his words filled with a nervous energy.
Santiago's response cuts through the tension. "You're asking the wrong questions," he declares cryptically.  “I’m still in a mortal body that has never been to Abysmora, about to go over a waterfall, what questions am I supposed to be asking right now?”
Perched on the edge of uncertainty, you suppress a chuckle at Jisung's retort, stealing a glance at Felix, who struggles to conceal his amusement behind clenched lips.
“The toll is paid.”
With a final decree from the coyote demon, the atmosphere shifts. The ethereal guide dissolves into obsidian mist, and in an instant, the raft is swept into the rushing current.
Chan's arms encircle you protectively as you bury your head in his chest. His embrace offers a semblance of security, though beneath the surface, fear lies in wait in his veins. It's not the fear of death that grips him, but the fear of loss—of you, of his brothers, Jisung; of the life he's only just begun to consider worth living.
Chan yearns to utter words of comfort, to quell the storm raging within you.
Casting a sidelong glance toward Hyunjin, he extends a tentative gesture of affection, seeking to bridge the chasm between them. Though initially stiff under the weight of fraternal embrace, Hyunjin gradually yields to Chan's touch.
Across the raft, Felix's gaze meets Chan's in a quiet exchange. But before their unspoken bond can solidify, in an instant, the world tilts on its axis as the raft hurtles over the precipice, plunging into the yawning abyss below.
For a heart-stopping moment, gravity claims dominion, and the sensation of free fall grips you all. The wind whips around you, snatching at your clothes, your hair, as you all hurtle downward into the void.
But just as suddenly as it began, the vertiginous descent comes to a halt. The world around you seems to freeze, time itself holding its breath as the raft settles into the stillness of Abysmora's dark embrace.    "Fucking Hell—" Felix's expletive pierces the air, jolting you from your reverie.
"Jisung, little witch, are you—" He begins to ask, worrying for the mortal passengers.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm good. You?" Jisung's voice wavers with the remnants of adrenaline.
"I'm... still here," you manage, your voice a fragile whisper amidst the chaos that surrounds you.
Chan's senses begin getting assaulted by a familiar itch—a primal instinct clawing at the edges of his consciousness.
Surely, he’s not going to turn? Not now? Not like this?
The same inexplicable murmur tugs at Chan's senses once more, this time drawing his attention squarely to your stomach. An involuntary pang of tenderness wells up within him, a protective instinct he struggles to suppress. And for that second, perhaps two, he doesn't feel his monster trying to come up for air. With a will of its own, his gaze flits away, his jaw clenching with the effort to regain control.
‘Abysmora is playing tricks on my mind,’ Chan reminds himself sternly, his thoughts a tumultuous whirlwind of uncertainty. He grapples with the realization that, in this strange realm, he may not be able to shield you and his daughter as he wishes.
But the memory of Amelia, her sacrifice, cuts through the haze of his thoughts like a knife to the heart. He can still feel her absence, a haunting guilt for the price paid for their survival. Chan's arms wrap tightly around himself, his fingers digging into the fabric of his jacket in a desperate attempt to anchor himself in the present, to get out of his own head, to banish the ghosts of the past that threaten to consume him.
The raft creeps languidly through the dense, murky waters, now a deep, suffocating shade of purple that seems to swallow light rather than reflect it. The waters are calm, yet their opacity hints at untold depths and secrets submerged beneath. Small islets punctuate the expanse like broken teeth, each hosting clusters of weathered gravestones that stand as silent keepers of forgotten lives. Some stones are cloaked in a dense mantle of moss, their inscriptions eroded by time, while others lean precariously, half-engulfed by the encroaching, swamp-like embrace of the water.
The air itself seems to congeal around you, infected with a sense of despair and decay.
As the raft drifts aimlessly, a disturbing ambiance pervades, heightened by the mist that clings to every surface, weaving through the air like the breath of the isle itself. This mist carries with it an odor so foul, a blend of rotting flesh, sulfur and damp, decayed wood, that it assaults the senses, a physical manifestation of the corruption that seeps from the very soil of this place.
“Oh God, I- I don’t feel good–” Jisung body convulses slightly as he heaves over the side of the raft, expelling a noxious, black substance—a memory of his earlier possession. The sight is disturbingly out of place against the backdrop of unnatural stillness that surrounds you. He coughs violently, a raw, hacking sound that seems too loud in the oppressive silence, wiping his mouth with a shaky hand, his expression one of revulsion and deep unease.
He speaks, his voice barely above a whisper, but it's clear the very air of Abysmora is anathema to him, a venom to his senses.  “I can’t…I don’t think I can be here very long.”    "I don’t think any of us can…” Felix's voice carries his concern, tasting the bitterness of the venom in his mouth, something he hasn't felt in a long time. Swallowing becomes a chore as the acrid taste spreads, worsening his already noticeable thirst. He keeps his discomfort to himself, knowing his brothers need him now more than ever. Despite the absence of the Full Moon tonight, Abysmora's sky holds no celestial bodies, just an endless void stretching upward into an unseen realm.
“Where’s Santiago?”     The question of Santiago's whereabouts lingers, as you survey the desolate landscape. Memories of the heated argument with him resurface his words cutting deep. Could he have abandoned the group at the gate, his duty fulfilled by merely delivering you to Abysmora? The worry eats at you, the fear that your past conflicts might have jeopardized the journey for everyone, with no guide to navigate the treacherous unknown ahead.
None of you have any experience in Abysmora, a daunting realization. It's a frightening thought, to be on an even playing field with some of the strongest creatures you’ve come to know, and all the while carrying your first child.    In truth, Hyunjin has rejected the idea of forming an alliance with Santiago for some time, ever since he inadvertently overheard the conversation back at Lysandra's. Despite the pressing need to focus on capturing Santiago after the Blood Bloom, time constraints forced the brothers to prioritize other tasks. However, with Santiago's sudden disappearance, urgency seeps into their thoughts, amplifying their concerns.    Finally, the raft nudges against the mainland with a soft, almost imperceptible thud, coming to rest at the edge of a larger isle. Here, the tombs are more imposing, grander in their decay, arranged in a deliberate circle that borders the perimeter.
These larger mausoleums and monuments loom like giants, their shadows casting long, dark fingers across the ground as if to welcome—or warn—any who dare to trespass. It feels even heavier here, if possible, threaded with a history of sorrow and darkness that permeates the very ground upon which you’re about to stand.
"No time to figure it out," Chan declares, rising to his feet, his actions prompting the others to follow suit. Stepping onto the mainland, he extends a hand to assist you ashore. Meanwhile, Hyunjin swiftly rips off and repurposes the hood of his jacket into a makeshift mask, covering Jisung's nose and mouth for protection.    “There you are!” Santiago turns the corner of a mausoleum and lays eyes on you.  He seems out of breath, worked up as he shakes his head, catching up with everyone.
And yet, despite his outward appearance of concern, there’s a flicker of something in his eyes that doesn’t quite match his urgency—a subtle shift in demeanor that leaves you feeling uneasy in his presence.  You hadn’t felt this just moments earlier getting on the raft with him.
“How did we get separated?” Santiago asks.
You are the first to answer, unaware of the suspicions of everyone else and just relieved to see another familiar face again.  Though, that nagging doubt gnaws at your mind, whispering of the questions surrounding his sudden reappearance.
You wonder if Abysmora is playing mind tricks on you too?
“No idea, but we’re all here, Jisung’s getting sick, we’ve gotta get the Blood Bloom and get out of here.”  You look around, “But where is it?”    "In there." Santiago's gesture directs your attention to a towering statue of a knight, its sword thrust upward toward the darkened sky. "It's always inside the tomb of the One, the very first of our kind." Santiago approaches the statue, touching it with reverence, in a way that strikes you as odd, because it’s as if he hasn’t seen it before, and Santiago said he had taken prior trips to Abysmora, albeit via other routes.
He must know what the tomb of the “One” looks like? Right?
Muttering under his breath in an unfamiliar tongue, Santiago circles the statue, his intent clear as he seeks a means of entry.
Felix, ever perceptive, senses a subtle shift in Santiago's aura. Vampires as ancient as he can detect things far beyond micro expressions in mortal faces, no matter what’s wearing the skin.  It’s how they can tell when something isn’t exactly human, or when mortals lie. Yet, this time, something feels different. Is Santiago under some form of influence? What drives him to lead them into the depths of this tomb? He hears the spells the archdemon chants but doesn’t recognize the tongue.
"Where did you land?" Felix's inquiry interrupts Santiago's prayer, prompting him to refocus his attention. As you join in the search, kneeling amidst the moist earth, the ground squirms with repulsive creatures disturbed from their slumber by your intrusion.
 "Land?" Santiago straightens up, his confusion evident. "I just woke up behind that grave," he gestures toward a nearby tomb. "I have no idea what happened." His explanation is abruptly interrupted by Jisung's retching, the soul of this environment taking its toll on him once more. As Jisung lifts his makeshift mask to expel another bout of black, putrid vomit onto the soil, Santiago's attention remains fixated on unlocking the tomb's secrets.
Hyunjin, growing impatient, voices his concern, stepping back to avoid the splatter onto his shoes with a lifted brow. "Can't you do something about him? We can't exactly conjure."
"It's my bloodline—" Jisung's words are punctuated by another fit of dry heaving. "I can't—my body—"
You spring into action, rushing to Jisung's side with mounting worry. His suffering raises questions about the influence of this place, and you fear for the well-being of his soul.
"Jisung, tell me what to do," you plead, desperation clear in your voice as he struggles for breath. But Jisung, consumed by his own distress, cannot offer guidance. With trembling hands, you place your palm against his stomach, channeling an unfamiliar power in a desperate attempt to alleviate his suffering. As your energy flows into his body, Jisung convulses one last time before finding his breath returning in ragged gasps.
Santiago stays oblivious to the commotion around him, his concentration fixed on the statue, lost in prayer with closed eyes. Meanwhile, Hyunjin's attention wavers as he catches the scent of blood emanating from your ear, a telltale sign of overuse of your conjure. His sudden cough startles you, drawing curious glances from his brothers as he hurriedly wipes his nose, trying to conceal his reaction. The scent reaches Felix next, prompting you to check yourself, and your fingers come away stained with blood. Panic sets in as you hastily wipe your neck with your hoodie sleeve, inadvertently spreading the stain further into the fabric.
You’ve made it so much worse, and you don’t even know it.      "This can't be what I think it is," Chan says as he uncovers something amidst the infested soil. He holds up a fragment that appears to be from a golden beret, the gold melted over one of the encased jewels, evidence of a failed attempt at destruction. "Do you see this or am I imagining things?"    Felix's heart races as he snatches the fragment from his brother's hand, his senses heightened to every sound, every scent around him. "This is it, this is... I have no doubt," he declares, his voice tight with apprehension. He turns to Hyunjin, whose eyes are fixed on the cursed fragment a few feet away. But instead of their usual crystal blue, they shimmer with a bright amber hue, a telltale sign of a loss of control. Hyunjin shuts his eyes tightly, fighting against the onslaught of disturbing images flooding his mind. He feels the creeping sensation of tiny toothed imps devouring his flesh in the depths of Purgatory, a sensation he fights against with every fiber of his being. Is it the curse or is it just him?
Passing the fragment to Chan, Felix approaches Hyunjin; and he gently shakes his younger brother from his trance, their eyes meet, and Felix is struck by the vulnerability in those familiar baby blues, a contrast to the centuries of resilience he's come to expect.
"Brother, what’s—how do you feel?" Felix's voice is soft, a rare tenderness breaking through his usual stoicism. He sees the innocence in Hyunjin once more, a vulnerable human amidst the vast expanse of their immortal existence.
“Afraid, brother,” Hyunjin confesses, his voice laced with raw emotion. He blinks back the bitterness in his eyes, unable to maintain the eye contact with Felix. “I can’t go through this again. I–I can’t, I’ll die, Felix. I’ll die first.”    Felix's voice cuts through the chaos, gentle yet firm, as he addresses his brother. "Hey now," he begins, his words carrying a sense of his own certainty, a vow to himself amidst the uncertainty surrounding them.
"I’ll die before you go through that again."
Hyunjin meets Felix's gaze, feeling a rush of emotions within him. Even that has become foreign after being gone for so long; feeling emotions he'd forgotten the weight of. In that moment of silent connection, he senses the weight of their bond, built over countless centuries of shared trials and unspoken understanding. Despite the shadows of their tumultuous past looming over them, Hyunjin finds safety in the unwavering intensity of Felix's gaze, a silent promise of protection and support. This rediscovered depth in their relationship speaks volumes, highlighting the profound significance they both place on each other's well-being.
━━━━━━━━   The tension in the room is filled with anger and resentment as Chan confronts his younger brother, his voice echoing off the stone walls. Hyunjin's defiance matches his elder sibling's intensity, his eyes ablaze with righteous fury.
"Are you mad, brother?! You're in bloodlust!" Chan's words cut through the air like a whip, each syllable dripping with disbelief and frustration. He can't comprehend Hyunjin's actions, can't fathom the depths of his rage.
"Now you've killed her son?! Amelia's brother?!" Chan's accusation hangs in the air, a damning indictment of Hyunjin's actions.
"Did her mother not take our parents from us first?!" Hyunjin's retort is sharp, laced with bitterness and grief. To him, his actions are justified, a reckoning for the injustices inflicted upon their family.
But Chan's anger simmers, threatening to boil over as he struggles to contain his emotions. With a roar of frustration, he hurls a nearby chair against the wall, the sound of splintering wood punctuating the heated exchange.
"Those were my parents too," Chan's voice is raw with emotion, his eyes flashing with a mix of pain and fury. "Do you not think me furious as well? Do you doubt that I too, want to drink from their hearts and watch them fall to my feet?!"
Hyunjin stands his ground, undeterred by his brother's outburst. He remains unshaken, fueled by a burning desire for justice.
"Yes, Christophe, I do!" Hyunjin's words are a challenge, a testament to his unwavering conviction. "I doubt you want to do anything more than run with your tail between your legs, defending a traitorous witch, the very daughter of the woman who murdered our parents!"
Meanwhile, on the other side of the closed door, Amelia stands frozen, her hand hovering over the doorknob. A cool hand touches her shoulder, and she turns to find Felix by her side. His silent guidance urges her to stay back, to let the brothers work through their grievances without interference.
As they move a few steps away from the door, Amelia embraces him, softly crying into the fabric of his blouse. Felix's thoughts churn with concern. The arguments between his brothers have become more frequent, fueled by Hyunjin's growing impatience and resentment. His thirst for vengeance risks engulfing him, driving them to move twice in the last four months alone.
Felix knows Hyunjin cannot be contained, his actions driven by a primal need for retribution. Yet, despite his own fury towards Amelia's family, he understands the futility of their situation. They are newborn vampires--outnumbered, outmatched, and outsmarted without a plan.
But what troubles Felix the most is Chan's hesitance, his reluctance to act. And as they stand in silence, away from the fight unfolding on the other side of the door, Felix can't shake the feeling that something is amiss, something he can't quite put his finger on…
   ━━━━━━━━
"Santiago," Chan's voice cuts through the tension, his gaze fixed on the archdemon who is still engrossed in his task. With each passing moment, Santiago's words grow more rapid, fueled by a sense of passion that borders on obsession. Chan moves closer, reaching out to get Santiago's attention. "Santiago, hey–"
The statue begins to shift, its movement accompanied by the harsh scraping of rock and the unsettling rumble of the earth beneath their feet. Hissing echoes around you as the creatures in the soil turn aggressive, some leaping into the air with fangs bared. Hyunjin reacts swiftly, his movements a blur as he dispatches several of the creatures with deadly precision.
"Protect this at all costs," Chan's command is clear and direct as he locks eyes with you, a brief flash of amber in his gaze before he blinks it away. He presses the beret fragment into your hand, urging you to keep it safe.
“Come on, hurry!” Santiago hurries down the stairs into the tomb.  You tuck the fragment into your bra and the rest of you have no time to think, and you follow behind, risking the chance that being in the tomb of the very first demon in creation would be safer than being on Abysmora's grounds, exposed.
If there was anything lurking in this strange place, they certainly know they have unwelcome visitors now.    Jisung's condition noticeably improves as the darkness envelops them, the sickness that had plagued him fading into the blackness. Yet, amidst the near pitch-black surroundings, a distant blue glow emanates from a room at the far end of the underground tunnel. Backed by a surge of adrenaline, you act swiftly, your fingers darting like arrows to ignite the sconces along the walls. Each flame catches, casting a blue hue that bathes the chamber in its glow.    As the dim blue glow from the sconces barely penetrates the darkness, Jisung finds himself momentarily awed by your ingenuity. But any sense of accomplishment is swiftly overshadowed by the atmosphere closing in around you. The tomb of the first demon ever to exist feels suffocating, each breath tainted by the heavy, musty scent of centuries past. With each inhale, Jisung's heart flutters nervously.    In an attempt to summon his conjure to navigate the path ahead, Jisung encounters an unexpected resistance, as though an invisible force is constricting his abilities. A dryness creeps into his mouth, he can’t be powerless yet?! How is this possible?! You were able to light the way without hesitation.
"Now what?" You whisper, your voice barely audible over the silence. Turning to seek guidance from Santiago, you find him vanished once more.
"What the–"
"Little witch, we can’t trust him," Felix's voice cuts through the darkness, his hand pulling you closer to the rough stone wall for protection.
"But he said–"
"It doesn’t matter what he’s said," Felix's tone is firm, his words tinged with urgency. "We can’t trust him."
With no other options available, Hyunjin strides ahead, his figure disappearing into the hallway, with Jisung following closely behind. There is no turning back now, no room for hesitation. You’ve come too far to retreat, your only choice is to press onward.  The confines of the tomb seem to be closing in on Chan, the primal instincts of his wolf beginning to overwhelm him. Sensing the impending shift, he knows he must act quickly, not willing to risk losing control in such close quarters, especially with you nearby.
With a determined step backward, Chan starts to unzip his hoodie, preparing for the inevitable transformation. His voice carries a note of urgency as he speaks to Felix, his brother, and you. "Felix, you and little witch go on ahead with the others. I’ll catch up with you soon."
Felix puts his arm around your shoulders and obeys his elder brother’s command.
As Chan's metamorphosis reverberates through the ancient confines of the tomb, each sinewy shift heralds the awakening of primordial forces. A chill snakes down your spine at the power unleashed, but with Felix's presence guiding you onward, there's little room for fear, only purpose.
Stepping into the chamber's heart, you feel a lack of control, like you've stepped into public in the nude. This feeling sticks to you as if you're an insect on fly paper, the discomfort follows you. Your gaze is drawn to the raised platform, where a mummified figure cradles a flower in its desiccated grasp. Against the backdrop of darkness, the bloom's vibrant hues stand in defiance, its petals swirling in an ethereal dance.  On the opposite end, Jisung stands watchful, his focus unwavering as he hovers over the coffin. Bathed in the soft azure glow of the chandelier above, the scene unfolds like a tableau of strange beauty, casting shadows that dance across the chamber's walls.
Your breath catches as you draw near, the allure of the flower irresistible. Its petals, delicate yet sinuous, seem to pulse with a life of their own, their crimson hue a vivid sign of its unearthly vitality. And at the heart, a pool of crimson gleams with luminescence, a symbol of the bloom's power.
"This is it," you murmur, your voice a mere whisper amidst the hallowed silence of the tomb. "The Blood Bloom."
Jisung's brows furrow in disbelief, his head shaking in denial. “The legend I remember said it grows in the soil of Abysmora…”    Despite his hesitance, he leans forward, sensing the same energy that grips you both.
As a sudden stillness envelops the chamber, Jisung's instincts flare, a warning pulsing through his veins. With a sense of alarm, he whirls around, calling out for his missing companions. "Felix? Hyunjin?" His voice echoes off the stone walls, met only by silence.
Your palms grow clammy, fear prickling at the nape of your neck. "What's happening? What's wrong?" you stammer.    "Oh look, you found it!"     Santiago's voice cuts through the tension, his arrival heralded by a sense of impending doom. Panic floods your veins as you instinctively back away, only to be ensnared by a vice-like grip from behind. Your breath catches in your throat, your thoughts racing to the safety of your unborn child, as fear tightens its grip on your heart.
"H-Hyunjin..." The name escapes your lips in a breathless whisper, finally realizing the scent. Your body tenses, every nerve on edge as you struggle to keep your composure.
Before Jisung can react, Felix is upon him, his strength overwhelming as he wrestles the younger man into submission. You look to Santiago, the sight before you twisting your stomach into knots. His head lolls to the side with a sickening crack, a grotesque contortion of flesh and bone. As his eyes roll back into his skull, his skin begins to slough off like molten wax, revealing a smaller, naked figure beneath.
This new form is like something out of a nightmare, its skin slick with a viscous substance that oozes and drips. The creature's features are twisted and deformed, elongated limbs and sharp, angular joints giving it a disturbed appearance. Its eyes, once human, now gleam with a endless black, reflecting the depths of its sinister nature.
As the demon's gaze fixes upon you, a shiver runs down your spine, fear gripping you with icy fingers. As Jisung struggles against Felix's overpowering grip, his frustration mounts with each futile attempt to break free. Heat radiates from his palms, a manifestation of his inner turmoil, but it's as if an invisible barrier stifles his efforts, rendering his conjure useless.
“The audacity only a Han would have, trying to use your conjure here, now don’t you know better? Then again, you want to die, don’t you?” The demon's voice drips with malice, taunting Jisung with cruel words.
Jisung refuses to dignify the demon's words with a response, his jaw clenched tight in defiance. Beneath his poker face, a sort of fear dances in his eyes. The demon's insight and access into his psyche unnerves him, exposing vulnerabilities he'd rather keep hidden.
“I have a name, you know.” The demon's grin widens, revealing a mouth lined with jagged, razor-sharp teeth. “Do you want to know it?”
“Oliver,” you breathe, the name escaping your lips like a curse, triggering a flood of memories from your night terrors that you'd rather forget.  "She's smart, isn't she?" Oliver's voice drips with malicious intent, each word laced with venomous glee. The knowledge that you know his name seems to egg on his perverse joy, a sickening trophy of the power he holds over you, a feeling he rarely gets to feel in his own existence. In the dimly lit chamber, his grin casts twisted shadows across the walls.
As your gaze darts nervously around the room, searching for any sign of escape, the sound of sloshing footsteps draws your attention to another presence lurking in the shadows. With a sickening lurch of your stomach, you realize that you're not alone, the presence of another demon sending a wave of fear over you.
The unnamed demon drags a large and furry form into the chamber, its tortured cries echoing off the walls as it's callously thrown against the unforgiving stone. Your heart sinks in your chest at the sight.
"NO!" Your voice rings out in a desperate plea, the words torn from your throat in a frantic rush. "Hyunjin, let go of me! Stop! This isn't you! That's your brother! Felix! Felix, it's me! Y/N! You're stronger than this! All of you are!" But your cries fall on deaf ears, drowned out by the cruel laughter of the demons that surround you.
"Chan—Chan, please," you plead, your voice barely a whisper amidst the chaos unfolding around you. Exhausted and defeated, you sink to the ground, your body wracked with sobs as despair threatens to eat you alive and spit you back out with no remorse.    "Y/N, stop," Jisung's voice cuts through the noise, his tone firm as he locks eyes with you from across the room. His gaze speaks volumes, silently urging you to quell your desperate pleas. In this moment of peril, communication is reduced to silent exchanges, a shared understanding passing between you both.
With a deep breath, you stifle your cries, recognizing the urgency of the situation. Any hope of escape hinges on maintaining composure, lest you risk losing control of your conjure before it can be wielded as a weapon against your captors.
Exhausted and defeated, you offer no resistance as Hyunjin releases his grip, allowing your body to crumple to the ground. His derisive laughter rings in your ears.    Meanwhile, Oliver's attention drifts to the Blood Bloom, his excitement obvious as he revels in the discovery.     “They really found it, the Blood Bloom!” His voice echoes through the chamber, a frenzied tirade of anticipation as he fixates on the object of his obsession. But his excitement is short-lived, abruptly cut off by a sudden surge of malice directed at the lesser demon.
"What are you waiting for?! Bring the Mistress!" Oliver commands, his impatience boiling over as he demands action. With a hurried nod, the lesser demon scurries away, his footsteps fading into the distance as he disappears into the darkness.
Lying on the dirt-covered brick floor, you succumb to silent tears, the weight of anguish pressing down on you like a leaden blanket. With jittery hands, you crawl forward, the distance between you and the wolf reduced to mere inches. As you nestle your face into the coarse fur of the muzzle, a gentle warmth caresses you, soothing the raw edges of your fractured spirit.
Suddenly, in the darkness, amidst the faint scent of earths and decay, you feel it—a tender brush against your nose, followed by two more delicate licks. Slowly, you open your eyes, greeted by the shimmering gold orbs of the wolf before you. It's a curious sight, this peculiar hue, but within those luminous windows to his soul, you find an unexpected solace—a glimmer of Chan's inherent spirit shining through.    You continue to feign distress, your sobs a desperate symphony masking the turmoil within. Each movement is calculated, every tremor carefully choreographed to draw attention away from your clandestine actions. Your fingers venture into the wolf's mouth, inching closer to the razor-sharp teeth that threaten to sever skin from bone.
As your wrist hovers over the waiting fangs, fear coils in the pit of your stomach, a visceral reminder of the perilous dance you've chosen to partake in. But you steel yourself against the rising tide of panic, a vow echoing in the recesses of your mind.     You'll fight tooth and nail, even if it means staring death in the face, for you know that within the pits of Hell lies the flickering ember of hope.
With a nod of assent, Chan's lip twitches in acknowledgment, a fleeting moment of connection. As he closes his jaws with painstaking care, the taste of blood blooms in his mouth, on his tongue, along his gums. Through gritted teeth, you endure the searing pain.    Jisung's mind races as he formulates a plan to wrest control from the clutches of Oliver. With each passing second, the grip of the demon's influence tightens around the minds of Felix and Hyunjin, reducing them to mere marionettes in this macabre play.
"Felix," Jisung breathes, barely audible in the hushed chamber, "Can you hear me?"
The vice-like hold tightens, and Felix's response echoes through the silence.
"Loud and clear, mate," he replies, the words filled with a predatory glee that reminds Jisung of exactly how different they really are from one another when it comes down to being factory reset to pure instinct.
‘Shit’. A curse punctuates Jisung's thoughts; reaching them in this state seems impossible. Oliver's conjure has rewritten their essence, transforming them into instruments of darkness. To break this unholy connection, the source needs to be severed, and at this moment, Oliver stands as the puppeteer, feeble or not.
As Chan discreetly drinks from you in his wolf form, Jisung's mind churns with frustration, the invisible chains of restraint still boggling him. 'If he has me restrained, there must be a physical block somewhere' he muses, a spark of realization flickering to life amidst the darkness. 'So how is he doing it? Where is it?'
A sweeping glance around the chamber reveals the answer, hidden in plain sight. The talismans, hanging down from the ropes strung along the ceiling, catch Jisung's attention. They're no ordinary charms; they bear the unmistakable markings of Korean origin, Bujeok, but warped and twisted into a perversion of their intended purpose.
These were crafted with him in mind, designed to stifle his magic and render him powerless.
'Bingo'    He knows what he must do to break free from Oliver's grip, to reclaim control and turn the tide of this deadly game.   Jisung's words slice through the air with a cunning edge as he probes for weaknesses in Oliver's facade. "Possessing the minds of vampires is light work, what’d you do, a blood bind of some sort?" he questions, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
Oliver's response is swift, a mixture of amusement and hubris. "Well, aren’t you an arrogant little witch?" he retorts, unknowingly stepping right into Jisung's trap. "Demons do more than blood bind to have others do our bidding."
A smirk plays at the corners of Jisung's lips as he goads Oliver further. "I guess you haven’t figured out how to get a Han to do your bidding though, so you had to use these guys," he gestures disdainfully toward the vampire restraining him. "I mean, I get it though, you don’t look capable of doing it yourself."
You listen with bated breath, the cool touch of the earth grounding you while Chan's watchful eyes mirror your own tenacity.
With calculated steps, Oliver descends from the platform, each movement purposeful and deliberate. A glint of steel catches the dim light as he approaches Jisung. As the blade he wields grazes Jisung's cheek, a thin rivulet of blood appears, tracing a crimson path down his face. Oliver steps back, grinning while Felix looms ominously behind Jisung.
In a mocking tone, Oliver scoffs, "Miss Edith couldn't care less about the likes of you."
Despite the threat at his neck, Jisung remains steadfast, his gaze averted from Felix's predatory presence. "You're a bad liar," he counters, a beacon of defiance in the face of imminent danger.
Oliver's smirk fades into a scowl. "I'll have your best friend drain you dry until you're nothing but a lifeless husk."
Jisung's laughter rings out, carrying a hint of madness. “Yeah, but then you’ll have a mighty angry vampire that can conjure on your hands, and how will you handle that? Oh fuck, you can’t--”
“You’ll just piss off your Mistress, and I get the feeling that’s a habit of yours—what was your name again?”    The demon's rage is evident, his fists clenched at his sides as he discards the knife, the sound of its impact echoing through the chamber as it hits the ground. His bluff has been called; a demon under another's command lacks the authority to make unilateral decisions, especially ones as significant as ending the lives of captives. Captives that they’ve taken the time to carefully ward against.
For reasons unknown, they need him alive, at least for the time being.
"You'll regret this," Oliver seethes, his departure swift as he hurries to investigate the delay in the other demon's return, his footsteps echoing in the silence of the chamber.   Hyunjin stands frozen, his gaze vacant, like a puppet abandoned by its puppeteer. Felix, unmoving, maintains his vice-like hold around Jisung, his thoughts seemingly distant despite his physical grasp.
With resolve sparking in your weary eyes, you snatch up the knife, ready to act.
"Little witch, hurry," Jisung urges, his voice barely above a whisper, directing your attention to the talismans hanging from the ceiling. "Cut them down—they're sapping our power."  You swiftly ascend the stone platforms, a strength from an unknown place guiding your every move as you slice through the ropes with the knife. With each talisman that falls, dissipating into wisps of blue smoke, a surge of hope fills the air. Chan, his wolf form a blur, disappears into the darkness, tracking the demons' elusive trail. Your focus wavers momentarily, but Jisung's urgent plea snaps you back to the task at hand.
"No time, keep going!" he insists, spurring you onward. With steady hands, you continue your circuit around the room, severing the final ropes. Jisung, eyes closed in concentration, channels his purifying energy, causing Felix to recoil and collapse, overcome by the searing sensation of his blood boiling under his skin. As Jisung kneels beside the fallen vampire, a grimly determined spirit, unflinching and serious, settles over him.
Frustration tinges his voice as he assesses the situation. “Fuck, they’re in deep.”
You wave your hand in front of Hyunjin’s face but he doesn’t even blink.  “What can we do?”
"Nothing, yet. We've gotta kill that bastard first." Jisung replies, scanning the room for any signs of their next move. Striding over to the mummified corpse, he delivers a swift kick to the wooden coffin, and you wince, splintering it open. With practiced efficiency, he breaks off a jagged piece of wood, handing it to you before keeping one for himself.
“But if we have to protect ourselves,” He gestures to the two vampires, “This is the only chance we’ve got.”
You gaze at the stake in your hand, horror coursing through you at the thought of wielding it against those who have become your kin, your protectors.
"Listen," Jisung's voice breaks through your turmoil, his tone resolute as he senses your hesitation. “If their souls get away from us again, I can’t help to get ‘em back.  Death is a mercy, but it’s our last resort.”
You agree, though as you look at your friends, lost and locked inside of themselves, you wonder if you’ll follow through with such a promise if the moment were to ever present itself.    Retreating toward the coffin, your gaze fixates on the flower delicately held within its grasp. Without much thought, or perhaps with thought you aren't conscious of, you extend your hand, fingers brushing against the petals, taking it into your grasp. Half-expecting the tomb to quake and crumble around you, like a scene ripped from the pages of a thrilling adventure, you're startled when the chamber remains still.
"In my dream they wanted to stop us from getting this, I don't know why," you assert, locking eyes with Jisung, an unquenchable fire burning bright within you as you secure the flower in your pocket. "The odds are now in our favor."
You dart down the corridor, Jisung hot on your heels, fueled by your sudden fearlessness. As the cavern splits into two diverging paths, you and Jisung find yourselves back to back, each scanning for a sign of which route to take.
Jisung's senses, honed by experience, detect a pulsating energy emanating from the right tunnel. He purposefully directs you away from it, "Go Left!" he calls out to you, his voice echoing down the corridor like a solemn decree. Without a moment's hesitation, you veer down the opposite path, placing your trust in his keen intuition as he forges ahead toward the heart of the mysterious power. In the glow of his flickering flames, Jisung continues on, his back pressed against the unyielding stone walls, each step plunging him deeper, and he can feel himself descending, guided by the flames in his palm, taxing his magick as a necessary means of sight...  You creep, as light as you can on your feet down the hall, and though you don’t sense much, you feel like you’re moving towards something, someone important. A thought crosses you, and you recognize the feeling from before, when you could sense Chan's presence.  You're just not sure how the honing mechanism works in your body. You come to a stop, straining your ears in the silence to hear anything.  How could a place so evil be so silent? Maybe that was a part of its sinister nature, you’re in a constant state of paranoia, questioning everything you encounter.
That’s when you hear it.    A cacophony reaches your ears—a wet, slurping noise interspersed with sharp cracks and snaps. Despite the unease creeping over you, you find yourself moving forward anyway, your feet carrying you around the corner even as your instincts scream at you to flee.
As you round the bend, the sounds abruptly cease, leaving a heavy silence in their wake. With shaky hands, you summon a burst of flame, its flickering light casting shadows across the room. You shield your eyes from the sudden brightness, snapping your fingers again to maintain control over the fire with an extended palm, its glow offering a glimpse of the scene before you.
With a sigh of relief, you realize it is Chan, still in his wolf form, perched atop the body beneath him, methodically tearing away its limbs. Despite the gruesome scene before you, you don't recoil in horror. Instead, a strange understanding dawns upon you—a glimpse into Chan's cryptic intentions. He's systematically dismembering the body.   Catapulted into action, you scour the area until your eyes land on a discarded plank embedded with rusted nails. You don't carry natural nightvision like he does. With a snap of your fingers, flames dance along its surface, casting a flickering glow that barely illuminates the chamber. You hope, to be able to talk about how much you've improved with Jisung once you're all out of this mess. To thank him for everything's he's done for you to get this far with your conjure. Armed with a knife of strangely high quality, the one Oliver had dropped earlier, you set to work, slicing through the demon's flesh with surprising ease. It’s as if its appendages were made of gelatinous cartilage rather than solid muscle.
With a final, resolute stroke, you lock gazes with Chan, something primitive passing between you two. Taking a deep breath, you shift your focus to the grisly sight before you: the half-mauled neck upon which Chan still labors. You issue a directive, "The leg," you command, indicating the limb lying closest to you. You direct Chan to the leg on your side, trading places to continue the task. You hack away at the remaining flesh of the neck until the head is brutally separated from its body. As the final blow lands, the detached leg collapses to the ground with a sickening thud as the wolf by your side finishes alongside you.
Chan nudges your wrist, smearing your hoodie sleeve with the dark ichor of the fallen demon. Bewildered, you meet his gaze. "What's wrong?"
The massive black wolf pads over to the plank, its end nears the final embers of its burn. With a sagacious air, he settles down, resting his head upon his paws. You nod in silent comprehension, scrambling to your feet and surveying the room for flammable materials. Hastily, you gather anything combustible, stacking them in the center of the chamber—a rickety wooden stool, dusty tomes whose contents held no value, and any other debris within reach.
Chan prowls around the scattered body parts, a low growl rumbling from deep within his chest, and you begin to deduce the demon isn’t gone yet.  "Let's go," you command, stepping backward as Chan joins you at the entrance. With a steady focus, you close your eyes, channeling the power within you. In an explosion of heat and light, flames engulf the chamber, forming a barrier that forces you to retreat, the intensity making you stumble and fall to the ground. Though the flames lick at your skin, they do not scorch, leaving you breathless as you gaze at your hands.    How did you just do that?!    A sharp itch on your forearm draws your attention, prompting you to hastily roll up your sleeve. To your astonishment, you find a series of canine tooth marks left by Chan's earlier bite, unhealed, the crescent pattern etched into your flesh. Frustration bubbles within you as you scratch at the irritated skin, rising to your feet just as the flames begin to dwindle.
"Fuck, Chan, what is this?" you demand, only to find Jisung's figure illuminated by the dying embers, his eyes glinting an unnatural complete black in the dim light.  He grins wickedly as he snatches your wrist tightly, looking down at the bite. “I don’t know, looks pretty bad though.”  Before you can react, he painfully twists your wrist, and darkness consumes you, consciousness slipping away as you collapse into oblivion.
DO NOT STEAL MY WORK
Tumblr media
I stir awake only to feel my throat dry, I reach for my water bottle and go to take a sip only to realize the bottle is empty. I stumble out bed and attempt to get out of the tangle of blankets that adorn my bed. Phone and water bottle in hand as I head out my room, using my phone to light my way through the house to accompany the moon light shining through the windows. As I move down the stairs with soft steps trying to keep to keep quite not wanting to wake the two hybrids. I can hear the soft snoring from Felix and Chan’s room. As I step into the hall I notice a figure sitting on the floor next to the slightly cracked door.
Chan.
He's curled up against the wall with his knees firmly pressed to his chest. The light from the moon barely makes his face visible, yet I can still make out the stern gaze glued to the front door further down the hall from his and Felix's room. The furry ears on the top of his head twitch hearing the wood creek under my feet. Though his eyes on the door don’t move one bit.
“Hey you okay?” I sit on the wall opposite of him.
“Oh— uh yeah,” He gives me a tired look from his spot.
“Can’t sleep?”
I see his head shake.
“Something on your mind? I’m all ears if you need someone to listen,” I say fiddling with the bottle in my hands,almost dropping it.
“Just stuff from the past you know, old habits die hard,” He sighs with a false smile shaking his head looking at his hands.
“Wanna talk about it?” I say looking back down at my hands.
“One day, but you should head back to sleep. You said you had an important interview in the morning, right? wouldn't you want to be exhausted in the morning.”
“... yeah I do, I’ll uh— head back to bed,” I say slowly getting up from the floor moving to head to the kitchen.
“I thought you were heading to bed” his voice raises in confusion.
“Oh– I came down to fill my water bottle” I say, shaking the water bottle.
Looking at Chan, it’s obvious that he wants to talk about things. I don’t want to push him, but hopefully one of these days he’ll feel comfortable opening up and talking about it. He seems to have a lot of weight on his shoulders.
I finish filling the water bottle and head back to my room glancing back one last time at the man. Still curled up against the wall, staring at the door. He glances up at me, his eyes soften  looking back at mine as I hesitate going up the stairs wishing I could offer him some comfort.
Chan was right, the alarm felt like a rude awakening, I was way too tired to want to deal with anything this morning . The repetitive beep and the fact I didn't want to wake up to to go to this interview anyway is already making me miserable. I trudge out of bed to change into some dark form fitting slacks, a wide brim hat and a suit jacket with nothing under it. If I have to be in front of the cameras I might as well look good while I do it. I look through my drawers to find a simple chain to clip around my neck. The simple loafers picked out to go with my outfit, makes it a little more practical. I carry the shoes to put on at the garage door.
My thumb flicks across my phone  screen as I look through my notifications as the sound of the coffee maker feels in my ear and the strong smell of the coffee fills my nose.
A quiet “Oh shit,” fills my ears as I move to the island. I look up worried seeing Felix looking at me having spilled a little coffee on the counter.
“Are You okay?” I say hurrying to grab a paper towel to wipe up the small mess. “You didn't burn yourself right?”
I take his hand in mine double checking that the hot coffee didn't scald it.
“No I’m okay, y-you look nice,” he says looking at my clothes.
“Oh thank you I have that meeting today then I have to meet with some model agencies and higher-ups about the status of that project I told you and Chan, I was working on since we're getting closer to the deadline—,” I start.
My hands run down my face, tired.
“God, today just seems like it's gonna be so long and it hasn't even started,” I say with an awkward chuckle leaving my mouth.
The slight pink on Felix's cheeks almost goes unnoticed as I throw the paper towel away.
did he get burned and he didn't tell me?
“Oh uh—Let me know if you guys need anything okay, I might be out late,” I put on my dress shoes and grab my bag giving Felix a hug before he doesn't let go for a minute rubbing his face in my neck a little bit. The motion made my face warm.
I’m about to head out the door wishing I could say bye to Chan but he doesn't seem to be up yet. This seems to be a continuous trend. Waking up a little later than me and Felix
Is it related to him sitting outside the door this morning? Does he do that every night? They've been here for a few weeks. Maybe I should invest in a security system or something? Since he looked like he was watching the front door?
 I shrug the idea off to deal with later as I get into my car and head to the address for the interview. Getting escorted into the building and my dressing room. The morning was already chaotic on top of my interview today. It seems today just isn't my day already and its just started.
I had sat down to check my text messages from Felix and Chan on my personal phone. A text from Felix from about 30 minutes reads on my lock screen.
☀️Lixie☀️: Hey we ran out of eggs, sorry I didn’t realize yesterday that there were only few left.
Me: It's okay I’ll pick them up on my way home.
☀️Lixie☀️: K thanks see you when you get home :)
The sound of knocking reaches my ears.
“Come in!” I say looking toward the door.
A young women in her early 20′s with red panda ears adorning the top of her head I almost miss them as they lay against the braids in her hair decorated with beads that knock together in a rhythm as she peaks her head in.
“Hi Zinnia, I'm here for makeup.”
“Oh yeah come in,” I say with a smile.
She looks between me and her bag and pulls out brushes, palettes,powdersand tubes as I sit looking through my work phone.
“So you work with Script right?” she asks, touching up blemishes on my face.
“Yeah I've been working with them for a few years almost straight out of college.”
“That's cool,” she says with focus making sure I won’t be shiny on the camera.
“How long have you been working here?” I mumble, trying not to move too much.
“I think I've been with them for about  4 months. I just got finished with cosmetology school,” her voice let out.
Her soft voice is quiet as the orange and white tail flicked back and forth behind her, I almost missed her nose scrunching up.
”Do you mind if I ask you a question?” She lets out cautiously, putting some of her stuff away.
“Yeah go ahead,” I urged while watching her move around the room.
“Do you have hybrids?” She looks at me curiously.
“Uh, yeah I recently took in some a few weeks ago, how did you know that?”  The words spilled out curiously.
“I could smell him on you,” she points to my neck. The same spot that Felix had rubbed against this morning when he hugged me.
“How?!” I asked, a bit with surprise and eyes wide.
The question honestly sounded a little stupid I've been trying to research hybrids but some of it has been hard to find conclusions too. Like, nesting, hierarchical systems, more instinctual stuff I honestly should suck up my pride and embarrassment and just ask Chan and Felix more questions .
“Hybrids have a really good sense of smell, and he scented you,” She pointed to her button nose with a smile.
Scent— I've come across the word but I haven't really been able to come up with a cohesive answer based on all the things online.
“Sorry I've been trying to research about hybrids and stuff since they moved in, what does that mean?” I let out nervously
“Oh, scenting is like trying to mark that someone belongs to someone for a hybrid to scent you; it's typically a sign of trust and a want to stake a claim.” The words left her mouth so casually as she described what it meant.
“We’ll typically scent around chest and neck areas and wrist.”
“So say the hybrid I live with hugs me and like nuzzled into my neck this morning—”
“That would be scenting,” She chuckles.
I nod along listening to her words as she talks about a few hybrid typical things. The conversation eventually moves to interest and I end up offering my phone number so we could keep in touch and talk some more.
“Who’s one of the biggest people you’ve worked with?” she asked, sitting in the chair across from me.
“That’s a hard question, I’ve been brought on a lot of projects but, I’d have to say Rihanna I worked on a project with her. It was a very exciting experience. I was so nervous to mess up. What about you? You’ve been out of beauty school for a few months, who is a celebrity you’ve done work with. ”
“That’s hard, a lot of celebrities have their own make-up teams. I think it might be you,” she gives me a shrug.
“I wouldn’t really consider myself a celebrity though,” there’s honesty in my voice.
I really don’t consider myself a celebrity. As she goes to speak again there’s a knock on the door.
“Mx. L/n you're needed backstage.”
“Okay thank you, it was nice meeting you. let's definitely talk more in the future,” I say, getting up and waving.
The hybrid women waves back as I leave the room and head to the studio where I would be interviewed. The audience of people there  Makes me dread coming to interviews and being on talk shows. Discomfort is obvious in the way my hands fiddle with the sleeve of my jacket.
As I'm told to walk on stage I wave to the audience and make my way to the empty seat.
I shake the interviewer's hand before sitting down in the chair. “So Y/n can I call you Y/n, you've been very busy for the past year haven't you,” her words run quickly out of her mouth
I nod and give confirmation that the use of my first name is okay.
“ Yeah this has been a really big project and probably the biggest of my career,”
I don’t even really take in most of the questions mostly on my work and when the Colra x Script line comes to the public. Then things got personal and I’m a very private person I don't like revealing things in my personal life to the public.
“So, got anyone in your life?” The woman sitting across from me says causing my eyes to widen.
“Oh no I don't really publicly date,” I say, nervousness itching its way back to the surface.
“No ones caught your eye recently?” there was a flirty tone in her voice as our chairs sat closely together. The tone in her voice makes me uncomfortable.
“No, I’d prefer to not talk about that aspect of my personal life though,” I say, voice unsteady with nervousness.
She nods, thankfully moving on to a different topic.
“We'll, I think that brings us to the end of today. Thank you for coming on and talking with us!” her voice changed back to the tone before she started asking about my love life.
As she closes out the segment I rush off to my dressing room feeling my discomfort and awkwardness eating away at me and I pack up my stuff and leave the building.
I considered taking the rest of the day off  but decide against it knowing that would just move the rest of my meetings to next week.
Tumblr media
I sit in my studio, reading through my emails, things people want me to do piling up deadlines, new projects, and clientele. I said I wouldn’t take on another project till the one with Colra gets out to the public, but my boss keeps pushing me to work with other clients when Script has already pushed out so much money. Trying to make sure that the Colra is happy with designs, advertisements making sure they showed proper representation of hybrids and humans alike. Along with  how we had to redo everything I need to at least see that this all goes through well.
The knock on the door frame startled me from work in my room. I look up to see a lanky man with light brown wavy hair and a cardigan.
He has a black tie, and seems well put together.
“Uh hi I'm Theo we've been emailing back and forth for a while, and I wanted to look over some promotional material with you being the leader of the team working on this,” he says smiling at me, his British accent filling my ears.
“Oh yeah of course come in,” I wave over to the workbench in the middle of the room.
We stand at the table as he pulls out some of the pictures with the pieces that have been finished. The photos are amazing. The color of the outfits are bright and beautiful, they pop against the background and give a regal feel paired with the elegance of the models  in the photos. The soft purples and whites on the models looked graceful and beautiful. Looking through the photos I noticed that the hybrid models we had hired for this campaign were missing from the photos.
“Theo, where are the hybrid models? We were supposed to have a good mix of both in the pictures, modeling the outfits.” I shuffle the photos he placed out the folder double checking I didn't miss it.
The brunette opened the folder sifting through the contents to find the ones with the hybrid models in them too.
“Great I like these too, they all look great. I know these are supposed to be going out to socials soon so if I can suggest something?” I question looking back up from the table to the male around my height.
He nods in response. I point to the 2 photos of a few of the models in a flower field and one with a few other models on white crystal-looking steps. the photo is well-balanced and has a good diversity of the models that we worked with to do the photoshoot.
“I would suggest these two, Script has a wide range of demographics and I think these will do the best with going out first, they really pop as ones that catch my eyes.”
“Yeah you're right those two will work great. I'll go ahead and let the rest of marketing know, thank you again for taking the time out of your day,” he confirms back to me as I smile kindly at him.
“Of course, happy I could help,” I  respond to him, excited to finally see some of the advertisements going out as he is putting the contents of the folder. his cheeks a slightly tinged pink.
Maybe he's a bit warm in his sweater vest.
As he leaves I decide to put the final details on one of the last designs that needed to be finished and sent out for photoshoots and to models. Some of the remanding sets got sent out to other people in the company to make to take the pressure off of me. I had found out we had money in the budget too and I had gotten an email right before Theo had come in that  the last 2 pieces that had been sent out had been finished and were going to be given to the models for photo shoots tomorrow and I was the last person to send the last piece out, which I need to hem the bottoms and ad a spot for a tail and then it’ll be good to go out. The rest of my afternoon was free aside from finishing the bottoms for the last outfit and which hopefully wouldn't take all night should take maybe an hour. Once the entire line gets sent out things are left in the hands of the stylist for the shoots.
Needless to say, Im glad that the day is almost over, I'm so exhausted. It was 6 and the goal is to finish by 7:30. That way I can still go to the store before it closes to do some light shopping. I get up to move to work on the bottoms for the outfit.
I pin the lace to the cuff of the bottoms and feed them through the sewing machine. The fabric is soft under my fingers. The lace at the bottom is a great final touch. The time spent putting it on with care. The model who was supposed to wear this is a ferret hybrid and has a long tail so a slit is made in the back for his tail. I glance down at my phone just now seeing its  7:20 pm, thankfully I had finally finished everything. I packed up my belongings and grabbed a garment bag and put the completed masterpiece in it. a sigh of relief leaves my mouth, happy that the day is finally over.
My feed carry me through the building as I hold a small smile feeling great about the the line being finished. I'm supposed to come in tomorrow too, which will mean this week I've been in the office a lot. But tomorrow is a Friday and I've had a stacked week. I told the photographer I would sit in on the shoot since I missed the first one. I find the rack for the outfits to go on and place my bag next to the other two  black garment bags. I look around to see if anyone is around, of course there is not, I one of few people still here this late. I peek in the bags getting a good look at the Wonderfull work of the other people on my team.
I head to the parking garage to start to head out. The grocery store is my last stop of the night before going home. I slide into the drivers seat and pull out my phone to text Felix.
Me: Was there anything else we needed? im at the store right now
☀️Lixie☀️: we're getting low on coffee. I think we need some more
Me: Okay thanks, I'm gonna grab a bit of other stuff.
Walking through the store I pick up some more meat, chicken, beef, pork, and bacon. The hope of having more time to cook this next week warms my chest. I found some kombucha squash and put it in the cart thinking of finding something to make with it. The line for check out is short but the store closes in an hour. Most people are home this late in the evening. Most people take this time to enjoy time with their family.
Tumblr media
I work on dinner deciding to use the squash, taking out the onions, beans, carrots, and ground turkey I got at the store to make some stuffed squash. I cut up onions, and add beans and other vegetables to the ground beef and seasoning while the squash sits in the oven roasting. Felix sits on the counter talking to me about things he watched,some of the recipes he found, and what he got up too toda. My brain wonders to this morning and the conversation about scenting I had with Zinna.
“So they ended up not making it to the finals—”
“Sorry it’s on my mind,— did you scent me this morning?” I interrupt his ramblings, and in that moment Chan walks into the kitchen looking up from his phone.
I probably could have handled it a bit better.
“What?” he looks a bit worried at my question.
Felix Jumps surprised by Chan's voice.
“I was asking if Felix scented me this morning, I was talking to a hybrid this morning and she had asked me about it—I'm not mad I was just asking if it was purposeful,” I speak quickly to try to justify why I asked the question in the first place.
Chan is Stands still in his spot and looks at Felix to answer the question.
”Yeah I did sorry I should of asked.”
”It's fine I just wished you had asked I would have let you if it makes you feel more comfortable,” I shrug it off. If it's a sign he's more comfortable with me I'll take it. Im glad he’s feeling more comfortable around me.
Chan sits down, patting Felix's shoulder.
“I'm still learning about what it's like to live with hybrids, just gotta give me heads up about things,'' I admit,with a soft smile
We eat the quash in silence, the feeling of something that hasn’t been spoken into the air yet lingers. I Scoop one of the last pieces of squash in my mouth. I look back at my bag near the garage door reminding me of the work I had promised to my friend tomorrow. I've been out of the house a lot this week. It's definitely weighing on me but I'm worried that the boys are gonna feel like I'm too absent and like I'm neglecting them. Technically they don't belong to me and I frankly don't like thinking of the gross owner pet implication of having a hybrid but emotionally I know that they rely on me— or at least Felix does, Chan I know still has a hard time being comfortable with me. I don't blame him for that of course I don't know his or Felix's history.
For the past few weeks, I've been worried about them feeling stuck in the house.
“I'm gonna be out the house again tomorrow, hopefully next week won't be as busy. I should hopefully be home early” I let out, pushing around a bean on my plate.
“It's okay, we know this week was big for you” Chan says.
“I know I just feel bad like I'm worried you guys feel stuck here all the time alone—” I take pause
“Do you guys feel stuck here?” I question
“I mean it would be nice to get out” Felix says perking up a bit.
“You’d have to adopt us,” Chan said still eating his food not making eye contact trying to seem more focused on his plate.
“Yeah I wasn't sure how you guys felt about that. I was looking into independent hybrid programs and that tends to require prior adoption for about a year,” I say, nervous about their response.
“it would probably be best if you adopted us. I know I'm fine with it, we trust you enough, you don't seem like you'd abuse that title,” Chan explains, finally looking up to meet my eyes.
“Okay then I'll see how to get the paperwork for it and try to get those filed,” I fidget a little under his gaze. Looking back down at my food to keep eating.
I wash the dishes alone. This is the first time today I can truly relax, and knowing that adopting Felix and Chan would at least  be granted a little freedom helps to ease my worries with their adoption. Them being able to go out more should give them some type of freedom.
I got to my room, and open up my laptop to look at what the process to adopt the two hybrids looks like. The page I find belongs to one of the hybrid centers in the city Stating that they help rehome and rehabilitate hybrids and have been rated one of the best in the area;
“Are you open to welcoming hybrids into your home? We’re here to provide you with the knowledge training and help prepare you for a new friend!”
Seem good enough.
“We won’t rehome a hybrid without they’re expressed consent from the hybrid Stating verbally that they would like to go home with you. Knowing that they’re from our own facility we prefer you spend weeks getting to know them and get comfortable with each other, after that we can start the adoption process!”
Bringing in strays or having been aiding hybrids and wanting to adopt them and give them a home will have a similar process! We start with an interview with you and then the hybrid making sure that they are comfortable going home with you! After the interview will be an exam of the hybrid making sure there is anything that needs to be watched or addressed. After The exam we will survey the new home and make sure the place is suitable and livable for your new hybrid! If you’ve made it to this point then you’ll be in the home stretch to fill out paperwork and take your hybrid home! We do checks in 3 weeks 6 weeks 9 weeks and then 6 months and a year check in to make sure everything is going Aye Okay!”
The page was very helpful and it said I can set up an appointment to get things started. I spent the rest of the night filling the form about Felix and Chan filing in the section concerning  their situation and pressing send before I closed my laptop for the night.
Tumblr media
Today was more casual. I pull white pants and a Blue oversized sweater. It’s a lot more casualI seeing as I'm going to watch a shoot and not spend all my time in the office, I prefer it that way.
I got a text from my friend Johnny on my work phone,who's the photographer .
Johnny : Hey make sure you're here at 10 I wanna go over a few things with you.
Me: sure thing I should be there a little early if anything.
The door to Felix’s and chans room opens right as I hit the last steps of the stairs. Chan's back is to me as he tries to close the door quietly.
“Morning Chan you're up bright and earlier.”
My voice must have startled him because he jumps as he turns to me with a hand over his heart. Seeing it's just me he lets out an awkward chuckle
“Oh yeah– I slept pretty well last night actually,” he smiles softly at me. sleep was still slightly evident in his eyes, but the smile made me feel warm inside and something inside me fluttered slightly.
“I was gonna make something,” I motioned down the hall.
”Yeah you should try and eat before you head out. It's not good to start the day on an empty stomach,” he presses.
7:45
I had a bit of time before I had to go so making something wouldn't hurt. I pulled the milk out of the fridge with some eggs. Before I could pull anything else out the voice of Felix coming down the hall is hurd by both me and Chan as he entered the kitchen phone in hand.
“Would you mind if I made breakfast?” he smiled, ears twitching on top of his head.
“No not at all, whatcha gonna make?” I ask and move to sit the milk down on the counter and move to the barstools to watch what Felix might be making.
“I found a recipe for pancakes. I wanted to try it,” he continued to check his phone assumingly for ingredients and measurements.
Me and Chan watch him move around the kitchen making the pancakes, the batter being mixed together and fried on a skillet. The pancakes were fluffy and buttery as they pile on the plate .
 “Felix this is really good,” Chan says digging into the pancakes
“Yeah you did an amazing job.”
Felix’s face is a bit red seemingly from our compliments. I can see a smile as he mumbles out a thank you while still eating the pancakes. The morning was peaceful, small talk about the food and other recipes Felix wants to try and what I’m up to today. It starts getting close for me to leave. I go to grab my work bag just in case but I plan to come home after the photo shoot. I notice the freckled brunette Felix leaned up against the wall near the door.
“Hey Felix, need something?” I say, making sure I had a jacket just in case it rained.
“—Do you mind if I scent you?” He's standing in front of me with space between the two of us the space being filled with quiet but low sounds of his voice.
“Oh—no, not at all!” I put my stuff down and smile as Felix comes close. He placed his face in the crook of my neck  to rub his face against it  and moves to rub himself against my clothes. He continues for a minute before he decides in his head that I've been scented enough, but before I move he takes the moment to grab my wrist and rub it against his neck.
“Okay I’ll probably be back earlier. I didn't have plans to really stay after this shoot,” I smile as I start to head out the door.
“Tell Chan I said bye!” I walk out the door.
Today feels nice, the sky is still overcast with the late October weather moving into winter.
Tumblr media
Pulling up to the set and getting to see the line together was so satisfying and it made me feel like everything was coming together. Fake sets and lighting stood out, waiting to find Johnny, I started to look around talking to some of the makeup artists thanking them for their help. I start to see some of the models dressed and coming on set, one was sitting in the corner quietly flipping through his phone also seemingly waiting for directions on what to do. He has soft round white ferret ears and a tail that slightly curls to be in his lap and he’s wearing the outfit I finished sewing yesterday.
“Hi I'm L/n Y/n, I'm the top designer on this project. I just want to thank you for working and modeling with us,” I say sticking out my hand.
A soft smile graces his full lips as he reaches his hand to greet mine.
“I’m Hwang Hyunjin.”
Next time I awoke to the feeling of rustling, someone moving around in the nest. It urged me to open my eyes with haste, the harsh morning lights blurring my vision for a few seconds.
My eyes met with soft brown ones, the colour melted and swirling inside, pulling me into its depths without any resistance. The ears atop his head that sported the same shade flicked once, gaze never leaving mine, only for the brief period of a slow blink. His features softened, much gentler compared to his sharp angles and harsh exterior he usually wore.
Lino crawled back to me, little paws careful about their placement, each step calculated and mindful of the bodies peacefully resting upon each other. Our eyes never left each other, as if he knew I needed that reassurance, that safeness he could provide me with through such a simple gesture. And maybe only he could grant me this feeling of security in such a pure way, I wouldn’t know, not in this tangled mess of feelings.
His tiny head bumped into mine, rubbing fur against fur in a heap of warm colours. A deep rumble left my chest, so low and so quiet that you could only feel it, not even hear it. I inevitably leaned down and trapped his much smaller form underneath my own head, tucking him between my front paws and against my chest.
I didn’t want to let him out of my sight, or anyone, for that matter. The urge to do so much too powerful to fight, consuming me whole and lighting me ablaze from the inside out.
Lino settled down where I’d trapped him without any complaints, his chest letting out lil purrs, the sound ever so slightly becoming delightfully stronger and more prominent. It drew a silent sigh out of me, a stiffness in my muscles I had never noticed now painfully obvious, causing me to forcefully relax them and become lax.
My body laid against the wolf’s as he was blanketing my back, him being the only one near my size, even with my lanky limbs tucked away. The puppy and the dangerously tiny pika rested against my stomach, heads and limbs buried in there comfortably. Two big cats were partly laying on top of me and everyone else, probably not fitting anywhere else in this single bed. Their spotted tails were tangled amongst limbs upon limbs, as if they were trying to hug and tie everyone together in a desperate attempt.
A whiff told me that everyone had calmed down after what had happened the previous day, the danger and anger mostly gone, although not completely. The flowers were still prickly, the pine trees still much too tall, and that sweetness in the air still sat heavily in your lungs. There was no storm anymore, only an occasional harsh breeze, yet the sun hadn’t come out of its hiding place. A sea could be heard in the distance, waves crashing against rocks in an endless loop, the scent of salt sitting heavily in the vanilla-permeated air, something that felt off a smidge. The citrus smelled tangy too, acidic, something probably only I could pick up on, as it was so faint and hidden away.
And the easel? It was still knocked down, as if it had remained untouched all this time.
It all surprised me, how painfully obvious and straightforward their anger was. It was basically palpable, bristling my fur in warning, even though they had been and still were angry for my sake.
Mine.
Not anyone else’s, but mine. It left a strange feeling in my chest, my whole body, one that caused my eyes to become glossy and hazy.
I felt someone stirring against my back, a little yawn and a huff leaving his form upon his waking. Channie nudged my head gently once he saw I had been awake, his own way of greeting me in the morning without lips to form words. I nudged him back, earning a satisfied huff before he placed his head back down on top of mine, apparently finding the position comfortable enough. Not having any other options, I let him lay there, soaking up his warmth greedily, feeling as the anger slowly seeped out of him and turned into a small flame, simmering inside.
While I didn’t like that it’d remained, I had to accept it, grateful that its size was now much more reduced than compared to before.
Slowly, the others woke up as well, affectionately greeting each other in the morning. I let them do so even to me, appreciating the gestures after what had happened. It calmed down the voices inside my head, ushering them away with no way back.
Bones cracked and muscles tore, the sounds of shifting loud in the serene silence of the room.
“As much as I love a good cuddle session, I’m starving, and so are you guys. I heard those growls coming from your stomachs, don’t even try to deny it. Now c’mon, up, get up.” - Channie said, laughter sitting on the edge of his words.
Groans and whines could be heard, pushing the still very naked wolf into bouts of laughter, eyes crinkling and dimples peeking out. I watched it all unfold, the laughter eventually ebbing away into small giggles and stopping, the others shifting back into their humanoid forms as well, grumbling and whining along the way, now able to be more vocal about it.
“But I was soooooo comfyyyy~” - it was Jisung, body draped over the wolf’s and gripping at him in annoyance. “Yeah, it’s rare for Bae hyung to do this, I don’t care about food! Even Binnie hyung agrees with me, right?” - Felix defiantly said, arms crossed and a pout sitting upon his pink lips.
Surprisingly, the pika wasted no time in agreeing with the feline, body still half sprawled out on me even after his shift. His voice was loud so close by, making my ears flinch and flick in pain. Jin was quick to gently cover them, the tips of his fingers pleasantly cold against my burgundy fur.
“Stop whining and fucking go, I’m freezing to death over here.” - the puppy complained, a scowl sitting on his face. “Oi, language!” “You can shut up old man, I bet you’re too old to feel the cold.” “Lmao, gottem!” “Lixieee…”
The playful banter continued on, even after the wolf had tossed one of his gigantic hoodies to the little pup, the fabric engulfing his form and practically eating him alive. The black accentuated his golden fur, as if he was a brightly burning star amidst the veil of darkness. Everyone raided Channie’s and Lixie’s wardrobe, stealing hoodies and other clothes left and right, not caring about the words of protests they had gotten at that.
Lixie was chasing Jin around, the latter comically putting on some loose pants while running away, nearly tripping and landing on the floor face first twice. Channie gave up trying to wrestle back a black hoodie from Binnie’s tight grip, a sigh leaving his nose with a small smile curving along his lips. His eyes met mine, a question swimming around the orbs as his face twisted into slight confusion.
“Baby, aren’t you coming as well? Minho cannot get up until you do, with the way you’re holding him hostage.”
The others’ heads turned towards my still laying form at that, their bodies frozen mid-action. I only tightened my hold around the small feline amidst my paws, feeling strangely affectionate towards him.
Something inside told me to be.
When the wolf came up to us, his hand stretched out and reached out towards our direction, a low whine left my throat, afraid that he would take Lino away. He immediately stilled, eyebrows furrowed and lips dipping down.
“Baby, hey. I wouldn’t do anything to hurt you or Minho, you know that, right?” - he gently whispered to me, voice so sweet it might as well have been dipped into honey.
I huffed, knowing fully well that he was right. But that something inside me was ancient, a feral urge, something that I hadn’t known about before. Never have I felt this, my days had been purely spent trying to survive in the past.
The chocolate-coated feline wiggled in my hold, making me loosen it and lift up my head, his wet nose bumping into mine in comfort. I closed my eyes and buried my snout into his long fur, allowing the mellow scent of the flowers to soothe my soul and settle into my marrow, weighing pleasantly upon my very being.
They had a hint of an earthly scent to them, one you would only feel out in the open fields, in wilderness far from human-touched cities and pollution.
A soft meow broke me out of my stupor, another tiny lick on my nose as the sitting feline just observed me with an entire sea’s worth of patience. My chest squeezed at the mere thought of it, urging me to look away before I broke down in front of watchful eyes.
Fingers glided through my thick fur, leading my gaze up to Channie’s, the gentlest of smiles sitting on his face. He didn’t seem angry or frustrated at my weird behaviour that not even I fully understood. No, he seemed understanding, if anything, a light dancing around in his caring eyes. The trees swayed gently in the wind, their colours vibrant and comforting now.
Not being able to bear that gaze, that expression any longer, I turned back towards the still awaiting feline and nudged him towards my back. It only took a few seconds for him to understand my intentions, paws making their way towards my back and climbing atop. By the way his weight distributed, he probably splayed himself there, limbs out and dangling freely at my sides.
Knowing he was safe there and close enough, I stood up, following the others. I saw a few share some glances, unable to fully hide their worries from my keen senses. It was all displayed in their scents, the emotion painfully obvious.
But who was I to blame them? I didn’t know what had gotten into me either.
The human, Jisoo, could be seen in the front room, sitting on the couch with now two felines draped over both his arms. Lixie and Jin had always been more affectionate than others, attacking everyone for a quick cuddle whenever. Had you been sleeping, peacefully reading, or even cooking? No matter, you were a prime candidate for some peak cuddling.
“Ah, there you two are, I was wondering.” - Jisoo happily greeted us, smile brightening the more time he spent in everyone’s presence.
I nodded at him with a few swishes of my tail, watching his whole face lit up in response. My ears flattened against my head, embarrassed, glad for the fur hiding my flushed skin.
“So, what happened yesterday?”
Jisoo’s question felt like cold rain upon already soaked fur, making me freeze in my tracks as I had been walking towards the couch. The atmosphere immediately changed, the air heavy and burdensome. I could see Lixie open and close his mouth several times, no sound leaving his still form that now sat there somberly.
“Some fucker approached Changbin hyung and Seungminnie on their run, wanting to speak to you. Just to buy Bae hyung.” - Jin spit out, as if the words themselves were venom.
Everyone tensed at that, the memories not pleasant in the slightest. Jin had a deep scowl etched upon his face, tail lashing out in fury. Binnie was clenching his fists and jaw so hard I was starting to worry he would break a bone, the skin at the joints turning dangerously white. Lixie just became even sadder, a muted anger hiding somewhere deep inside his freckled gaze. Sungie was similar, curling into the snow leopard’s side into a small ball. Lino shifted atop my back, fur pressing against fur. The puppy was staring off into space, yet one of his hands was clutching onto his pants, the fabric nearly ripping in two.
Yet, they couldn’t compare to whatever the wolf must have been feeling, the emotion so clear in his entire body that I was sure he could cause a city to fall, if he so wished.
“Hyunjin…” - he grated out, anger now directed towards the mentioned leopard. “What? Jisoo has every right to know!” “He does, but did you have to say it like that?!” “Oh, so I should have stayed quiet, just so you could omit most of the info??” - Jin defended himself, hands harshly lifted into the air. “You know that’s not what–” “Enough.”
Everyone looked at Jisoo at that, his now standing form tall and voice intimidating, cold. He didn’t say anything else, just stood there, trying to take back control over his heavy breathing. Nobody dared to utter a word, not even our leader, Channie.
A vein popped out on the human’s forehead, scent so soured and ruined, I nearly whined. That once pleasant scent of grass now too strong, as if the plants were left alone to grow for centuries, standing tall and unyielding. No sweetness could be found nearby, as if the joy was somehow killed out of the scenery.
Not uttering a word, he walked towards the kitchen counter, steps long and calculated. His shoulders seemed stiff, a hand clenched together into a tight fist.
“Wait, Jisoo, don’t–” “No, Chan, I should have done this long ago, when the first person approached us.” “But–” “No buts.”
Jisoo left no room for arguments, effectively shutting our entire pack up with a few words.
Once he had reached his desired location, his unclenched hand took his phone into its hold, the skin slowly gaining back its healthy colour.
The rings in the room were deafening as he held the device up to his ear, breathing now seemingly under his control.
“Hey, yea, it’s me. Look, I know you’re super busy, but I need your help. Remember the hybrid I told you about? The one I took off the streets, yeah. Well some fuckers keep approaching not even me, but HIM about wanting to buy him! Can you fucking believe this?! I know, that’s what I said too! Anyway, you’re the one who has experience in things like this, which is why I called you. Mhm. Yea. Of course, just call me whenever I’m needed. I owe you one, really. Thanks, I'll text ya later, bye.”
While Jisoo had been talking, Channie rubbed at his face, sighing heavily. I’d looked at him, head tilted and gaze worried.
“Ah, don’t worry, baby. It’s just… I didn’t want to tell Jisoo like this exactly because of this. That’s a good friend of his, Laneul-ssi, someone with a well-known corporation under his belt. I don’t know much, since it’s all related to the field of biology and medicine, but I do know not to piss him off. He had won several lawsuits, having been in situations exactly like ours before.” - he explained, expression softening. “He has a big pack, like ours, with seven hybrids. Most of them are unique species as well, like us, which is why this stupid shit keeps happening.” - Lixie grumbled out, that hidden anger emerging for a split second from the depths. “Yea, but you don’t need to worry, they’re all great! My best bud, Woo, is there as well. They might be idiots, but they are our idiots.” - Binnie excitedly shared, frustration temporarily melting away.
The others had no idea who they were talking about, never having met them. Lino probably had, but he had no way of talking, instead lounging around on my back comfortably and meowing at us in agreement. Or disagreement, based on the other felines’ reactions.
“Minho hyung, don’t say that!” “Meow meow” “I’m telling this to Seonghwa hyung.”
At that smug face Lixie had made, Lino hissed, earning a laugh from the leopard. Jin just chuckled along, enjoying the drama full force. We others merely watched it, only understanding one half of the conversation.
Jisoo came back, tiredly falling back onto the couch and carding his fingers through his hair, messing up the dark curls impossibly more.
“You didn’t have to do that, you kno’” - Channie said, voice quiet and timid even. “Shush, I had to. Or do you think so lowly of me to just stand by and let these things happen to you guys?” - Jisoo nearly growled out, hurt and anger dripping from his voice. “No, of course not, I never meant for it to sound like that! I could never be more grateful to have been adopted by you. Not only that, but for you to help hybrids by taking them in from the streets and abusive households. None of us would be here without you, living such a happy and free life. I’m sorry, please know that I love you for all you do for our sake.” - Channie immediately scrambled up and took Jisoo’s cheek into his hand, stroking the skin there with a thumb as he spoke. “Yeah, yeah, I know. ‘m sorry, didn’t mean to snap like that. I love all of you, you’re basically my family. I just fucking despise fuckers like these, calling them amoebas would be insulting to the poor life forms.” - Jisoo sighed out, covering the wolf’s hand with his own and drawing a few chuckles out of some of us with his last comment.
I finally walked up to the couch, nudging Jin’s leg and gaining his attention, successfully making him move so I could get up onto the furniture as well. My moves were careful, not wishing for the feline on my back to accidentally slide down and potentially hurt himself, even though I knew he was more than capable of landing safely were he to fall.
Once I was up and laying down, the leopard guided my head into his lap, my weight heavily settling into his thighs. A hand of his immediately attached itself onto my fur, the digits burying into the base of my ear and impossibly relaxing me.
The noise around me lessened, mind taken off of the chatter and chaos. I was transported back to that open field, the easel standing proudly at the edge, the vivid vermillion and black now off to the side in their respective containers. The white canvas had been painted a soothing blue, the painter dabbing the brush against it gently, creating fluffy looking clouds.
As if sensing my presence, he turned his head back, a gentle smile taking its place on his face and drawing tiny dimples out of their hiding places. I blinked at him slowly, the gesture being the only thing exchanged between us as he went back to painting, my own body laying down nearby, the cool touch of a tree’s shadow caressing my fur.
I spent my time there, just lazily lying amidst the grass and flowers, the sounds of the painter perfectly blending in with the ones that came from nature itself. A small stroke of the brush here, a wider one there, a little dip into the paint. He even hummed sometimes, his voice impossibly soft and making me yearn for more whenever he stopped.
“But then–” “Sshhh!” “What do you mean shh, Lixi–” “Oh my god Changbin, just shush, Bae hyung is finally asleep.” “Oooh, uhm, my bad.”
While I wasn’t asleep just yet, I could understand why they had thought so, my own mind barely making sense of their words as it stood at the fragile edge of unconsciousness.
The sound of skin tearing and bones breaking could be heard, the fur on my back bristling as it felt cold now, nothing there to shield and warm it anymore.
“He isn’t, not yet. But I don’t think he’s far from it, seeing as he’s not even reacting right now.” - it was Lino, uttering a quick thanks afterwards, the sound of fabric being shuffled around filling up the silence.
Not even a minute later he sat down next to me, his breath hitting my ears as he glided his fingers through my fur, not leaving my side completely. Jin never stopped with his own administrations, the two soothing my entire being continuously.
“I’m glad he’s resting now, he seemed kind of out of it. What was with him and not letting you out of his sight anyway?” - Lixie muttered, voice not raised so as to not wake me. “I have no clue, but I was afraid he would panic if I left. There was something off about his scent too, but I can’t quite put my finger on it.” “I think… I think a part of his brain took over, after what happened yesterday.” “Sungie is right, that seemed like something an instinct-driven hybrid would do. He probably didn’t even realise it, by the way he’d acted when I first approached you two in the bed.” “Mh, but nothing bad happened, right?” “No, you don’t have to worry, Jisoo. The events just really spooked him, more than he lets on probably.”
The puppy’s voice was the last one I had heard, only a few more words making sense to me before I finally drifted off, the lands of sleep claiming my weary soul.
-.-
Distant voices of bickering awoke me, my ears flickering already in annoyance as I had easily identified who the perpetrators were: Jin and Sungie.
The two had always had a strange spark between them, and not the good kind. The signs had always been there, some I had noticed as well. The bitter glances when only one of them got what they had wanted, or the challenging gazes they sent the other when something stupid had crossed their minds. They probably thought they were slick, never causing a scene openly.
But I had heard their arguments occasionally, midday naps and long nights messing up my usual sleeping schedule often enough to catch them with my sharp hearing, much to the dismay of the wolf. Never were any of the arguments with good reason, as if they were children fighting over a toy.
And I had enough of it.
Blinking my bleary eyes open, I stood up from the couch and stretched, a satisfied sigh leaving my nostrils after a few of my joints popped, getting rid of that uncomfortable feeling. Nobody else was in the room, not even Lino, burying the seed of panic into my body. But before it could blossom I took a deep breath, carefully identifying everyone’s whereabouts.
Channie and Binnie were in their workroom, the two tinkering away on something alone. I never knew what they were doing in there, no sound escaping the place at all. Lixie and the puppy were in the leopard’s room, most probably playing, as they had been regularly doing that lately. Lino’s scent seemed to have been in that same room, probably lounging around and taking another short nap, knowing him. Jisoo seemed to have left the house, something I didn’t appreciate, as it had been a day without work for him originally, and I was sure I hadn’t slept for a whole day. He almost always spent these particular days with us, watching a show on TV or playing on Lixie’s devices.
Taking another deep breath and calming myself down as much as I could, I took off towards my own room, claws silently tip-tapping against the boards underneath. I hurriedly made my way into my room, opening the door with my mouth and shifting back inside, in the safety of my den. Not a thought was formed about what clothes I would put on, the matter at hand much too pressing for me to do so.
Fully clothed and annoyance at its peak, I quickly made my way to the two’s loud voices, no care given as I barged in through the door and into the room.
“You two talk it out right now, this has to stop.” - my voice came out a bit too frustrated and harsh, causing them to flinch.
They both just blinked up at me with wide eyes, the words frozen inside their rigid forms. I merely crossed my arms after I had closed the door behind me and leaned against it, raising up an eyebrow at their unresponsive forms.
As I could see both of them open their mouths, excuses on the tips of their tongues, I straightened up and pushed myself off the door.
“No. Talk it out. Right now.”
Jin and Sungie gulped, gazes casted down towards the floor in shame. I patiently stood there, waiting for any of them to start, my own tail agitatedly swishing behind me.
It had taken nearly five whole minutes for them to start, but Jin finally opened his mouth and started speaking. He spilled out all his frustrations, how he hated the way Sungie stole our attention away and flaunted around with it, greedily asking for more at any given moment. He told us how he hated the way the squirrel acted, much too obnoxious for his tastes.
In return, the squirrel had done the same. He spoke of his fears, his own distaste against Jin’s personality, how he acted too dramatic and overexaggerated everything. The way Jin had a habit of fooling around and occasionally starting a playful banter annoyed him, making him feel smaller and inferior.
The two spoke for a long while, the ice having been broken and letting the words flow seamlessly. I quietly stood by the side the whole time, a silent spectator, nothing more. Channie tried to come in once, probably to check up on us as he usually did, but I silently signed for him to go, knowing I would have to tell him the details later. Jin and Sungie had been too absorbed in their conversation to even notice the whole thing happening, something I was grateful for.
Eventually, they had come to an agreement, shaking hands on it. A smile sneaked its way onto my lips, my previously still tail now swishing gently around.
Problems between pack members had always been stressful, something I ceaselessly tried my best to prevent from happening. So far I had succeeded, only because everyone clicked well together, merely small arguments rising up that had usually gotten resolved in a day or two. That was until the day Sungie came home, the previously perfectly clicking puzzle now disturbed.
Looking back at the two, I found them slightly joking around, my eyes widening in surprise. I was glad they were having fun together, of course I was, but never had I expected them to change attitudes with each other this fast. They were practically different people now!
Sungie’s eyes flashed with what I could only call pure mischief as he’d caught my observing gaze, that smile only widening on his lips and taking on a lovely heart shape. Not even a second later his entire body shot towards me, tails and even his ears wiggling around in happiness, scent a comforting sea breeze that caressed my skin. His limbs latched onto me without hesitation, my balance only maintained through hard work and sheer luck with the force he had launched himself at me.
“Yah, I wanted to do that!” - that was the only warning I had gotten from the leopard before he had done the same thing, proudly attaching himself to my back.
My own limbs were burning from the exertion, not built to carry this much weight so suddenly. Yet, I only tightened my hold on the squirrel on my front, tail brushing against his and Jin’s legs with no hesitation. My senses were enveloped in a wonderful sensation, everything calm and serene around me. The sea was placid now completely, gently lapping at my paws, while the easel stood nearby proudly, the scenery perfectly painted upon its canvas with soothing colours.
The silent sigh that left my form was inevitable, its escape out of my control.
Even with all that, I knew my limits, so I hastily turned towards the door and nudged the little squirrel in my hold to open it for me, the boy doing so hesitantly. His head was buried in the crook of my neck on one side, Jin’s head hidden on the other. Once he had returned there after his task had been done -quietly grumbling the whole time-, a sigh so deep had left him, he nearly deflated as if the air had been taken out of him.
With my way being cleared, albeit it had been a hard task, I continued on my journey to the living room, my steps careful and controlled. I didn’t want to accidentally slip, especially on the stairs, nor did I want to jostle them too much, their scents too elated and breaths too deep for that. It was a miracle Jin hadn’t slipped down from my back, with how he only kept himself there with his own force, even in his slumber.
“Whatcha got there?” - Lixie asked, much too adorable for me to be mad at him and his amusement.
I quietly grunted and just settled down, careful not to sit on Jin and leave him enough space between me and the back of the sofa. All the while Lixie and Binnie had been giggling and chuckling, the latter nearly going into that usual shrill laughter of his, had the awake leopard not warned him with a slap on the arm.
“You know, with the way they’re clinging to you, you would think they don’t hate each other.” “Not anymore.”
The snow leopard just owlishly blinked back at me, Binnie doing the exact same, words frozen into both for a few solid seconds. I couldn’t keep down the smile that crept up on my lips, watching them process the information. The moment where it all clicked in them could have been pinpointed with scary accuracy, their entire face lighting up in delight.
“Oh you sneaky bastard, I knew you were up to something.” - Binnie said, crossing his arms and smirking up at me. “Is that why you disappeared the last like, 2 hours, Hyung? Damn, I wanted to see it though. Bet you were angry.” “Why would you want to see him angry?”
At that, Lixie made an ‘are you kidding me?’ face, eyes sharp and judging. The tiny pika had nearly shrunk into himself, understanding dawning on him mere seconds after.
“Yea, okay, no, I cannot blame you. I bet 10 bucks he’s like Chan hyung, silent and scary.”
B-Binnie??
“I bet 20 bucks he’s actually loud and growls at you.”
Lixie?!?
“Deal.” “Great!”
What the fuck?!???!
My expression must have completely reflected my inner thoughts because the two bursted into laughter the moment they had made eye contact with me, bending over in pain and gasping for air. Nothing held their voices back anymore, that high-pitched, shrill laughter now free to roam the halls of the house. The two stirred on my chest and back, understandably awoken and confused.
“Mh, what happened?” - Sungie murmured out, cheeks squished against my clothed front. “Don’t mind them, go back to sleep.” “Then they better fucking shut up before I chuck something at them.” - Jin added in, his usual, easily irritable self coming out after being woken up.
You never woke Jin up, that was an unwritten rule in this household. Unless you wanted to lose a finger or two and be covered in scratch marks, then, sure, you could freely do so.
Yet, the two amused ones merely started laughing harder, having the time of their life, Lixie even having fallen off the furniture altogether. I started to grow worried, air seemingly avoiding their lungs like the plague.
“What’s the topic of laughter, hm?” - Channie asked, having sneaked up on me and causing me to slightly jump. “I– Y’should’ve–” - Lixie tried to say, only to completely fail and fall into another bout of laughter, following Binnie as the pika couldn’t even form words in the first place.
The wolf hummed once again, that warm light dancing in his dark eyes once again, a gentle smile sitting on his face as he just watched the two, his body leaned against the back of the sofa. A hand came up to support his head, most of the weight held up by his elbow now.
He looked so serene, his scent freely let out for everyone to feel. Those previously angry trees were now quieter, calmer, the sun shining on their thin leaves freely. An underlying hint of something wet, rotting reached my nose, but it was gone within the same second, leaving me blinking and questioning myself.
The laughter subsided, leaving them teary eyed and flushed. Channie went ahead and ruffled their hair, making them whine and playfully pout at him. It was all just a ruse, they both enjoyed it and weren’t even doing a good job at hiding it.
“Baby, can you come with me for a second? I wanna talk about somethin’.”
I nodded back, slowly peeling Jin and Sungie off of me, their limbs securely attached to my body. It was an arduous task, one so difficult, I considered just taking off my hoodie and letting them have it. But with enough struggling and determination, I had succeeded, taking the wolf’s offered hand and letting him pull me up.
Something was off about him.
As we were walking back up the stairs after a brief goodbye to Lixie and Bin, he slightly shrunk in on himself, his entire presence seeming somehow timid even. That same rotting smell appeared once more, the hybrid unable to hide it from me, even if he pushed it back down in the next second.
The last time he had acted like this was when I had to visit the doctor, and it pulled at my stomach with a vicious force.
My room greeted me back, everything left untouched from the time I had come in here for some clothes earlier this day. The wolf sat down upon the bed, patting the empty place next to him in hopes of inviting me closer. His eyes avoided mine, depriving me of those warm depths I loved getting lost in.
It squeezed my throat shut.
“I–,   sigh   Baby, we love you, you know that, right? That we trust you and you can trust us?” - he sighed out, hands finding one of mine and taking it in their tender hold.
I nodded, watching as his thumbs caressed the light skin underneath, occasionally drawing little shapes in there.
“We’ve been talkin’ with the others and… How do I say this? Gosh, sorry, I’m just a babblin’ mess. What I’m trying to say is that we know you went through a lot, and we think talking to someone about it would help you. A lot.”
His eyes finally found mine, hands holding onto me stronger when he felt I had tensed up.
“I know it’s scary, and you deciding to tell us what you went through or not is completely up to you. But it’s not good to bottle it all up, which is why I propose that you go and seek therapy. Talk it out with a professional, go at your own pace. The reign would be completely in your hand, nobody would force you into saying anything.”
His words were so sincere I had to accept them, pulling myself away from the edges of panic and remembering. I couldn’t do that to him, to shatter right when he was just trying to help me. The weight of that act would pull me to the depths of the void, letting it claim me immediately.
“‘Course, if ya want it, one of us would accompany you there if you so wanted it. Just please, consider it, ‘kay? We only want the best for ya and nothing less.”
Those hands never let go of mine, that voice never raised and instead remained a gentle whisper, a soothing balm to my panicked soul. A shaky breath left my lips, only now noticing the slight tremors running through my body. Warmth seeped into me wherever he touched me, as if I was a freezing traveller on the streets, death waiting briefly to claim me.
Hands enveloped me completely, the world moving as I was hoisted up, head buried right in the curve under his jaw, slotting myself in there out of instinct. Heat travelled up and down my back repeatedly, touches firm, as if he was reassuring me of his everlasting presence.
Before I would let my head be filled with his scent, I murmured into his skin a promise, a reassurance of thinking about it seriously. His hand stilled for a single second, that scent of pine and moss blooming with full force. My hands sneaked up his back, grabbing onto the fabric there as an anchor for myself. I felt myself running around in the woods, soaking up the sun and letting it bleed into my fur and bones, the breeze pleasant and not angry in the slightest.
My lungs heaved, having run around for a while, and now I found myself standing at the edge of that meadow I loved once again. The air smelled sweet and fruity, the scent of salt and paint permeating it as well. Yet, I was purely focused on those mellow flowers, their light coloured petals alluring, impossibly so.
My paws took me to their fragile selves, my body inevitably laying down and enjoying their presence. My nose was carefully pressed against one of the flowers, close to the core of their scent and drinking it in, muscles relaxing impossibly more.
I was vaguely aware of the soft murmurs around me, touches belonging to different pack members, the most prominent ones careful on me, as if I was a fragile little thing, much like those flowers I loved so much.
-.-.-
The days started bleeding into each other, my worry for what the wolf had offered up to me constantly plaguing my mind.
On one hand, every fibre of my being screamed at me to refuse it, to just never talk about my past and bury them back deep down. I had survived alone for so long in the past, I could continue doing so in the future if needed. And above all that, to talk about it with a human? The mere thought disgusted me so deeply my stomach turned into knots and churned painfully.
On the other hand, I… felt guilty for thinking so. The feeling sat deep inside me, reaching every nook and cranny, infecting every cell of my body. This pack had gone so far to help me, to even love someone as broken as me. Who was I to refuse an act of kindness that came from within their beautifully selfless hearts?
I was at a standstill, a horrible one.
Not wanting to deal with it all just yet, I seeked out Lixie and the pup, knowing the two were together and playing those games on their TV again. I didn’t even need my nose to be able to tell, their loud voices and shouts echoing through the whole house. Although to be fair, nearly all of them belonged to the young leopard, most probably caused by his continuous losing streak. He had never been exceptionally good at these games, but it wasn’t like he was awful at them either. The puppy was just way better than him, it was that simple.
The door creaked slightly when I’d opened it and peeked inside, Lixie way too focused on the game to notice me, only the puppy’s head turning towards me. His smile widened, all pearly whites, eyes crinkling up and tail starting to slowly thump against the floor. They had both been sitting down there, on some soft pillows and blankets they had piled up in one spot.
My own lips stretched and arched, a slow swish could be heard from behind me. I silently walked up to the bed after having closed the door, not wanting to break the little leopard’s focus in front of me. His tongue slightly poked out from the confines of his cheeks, brows furrowed and nose occasionally scrunching up whenever his character took some damage. Angry clicks and clanks could be heard from his direction, the device in his hand somehow withstanding the abuse without any problem.
The puppy merely smiled through all this, mocking laughter leaving his form after the winner had been announced on the big screen, Lixie having slumped down and started loudly groaning and whining in defeat. His hands were nestled into his hair as he laid on the floor, face down, tearing at the blonde strands forcefully.
Not wanting him to become bald just yet, I stood up from my seat and kneeled down next to him, bringing his smaller body into my hold. Surprised sounds left his lips, wide, dark eyes blinking up at me atop their field of stars. His round little ears instantly perked up, not in that harsh and angry angle anymore. A slender tail curled around my waist, securing himself to me.
“Hey, I was the winner, how come he gets the cuddles?” - the puppy said, pout hidden inside the tone of his voice. “‘Cuz you suck, Minnie. Git gud.” - Lixie replied, smug face hidden in the pocket of my collarbone.
The puppy gasped, arm threateningly holding up the device in hold against the feline. No real threat or anger was in his entire being, mere frustration and jealousy that only widened my smile. A wonderful idea popped into my mind, stretching my lips into a grin, alarming the puppy and making him slightly back up.
“No, no-no, Hyung, you never do anything good after you get that evil little smile on your f–  Agh-” - he grunted out, unable to fully finish his sentence before I pounced on him, smothering him with my entire body.
My arms tightly held onto his torso, wound around it and latching onto each other. Our legs tangled into the others, weaving and unweaving amidst his struggling. Lixie went along with my plan swimmingly, that same evil smile reflected upon his face. His tail curled now around one of the pup’s legs, hands buried in and tight around fabric.
“I hate you guys. Both of you, so much.” “Don’t lie, Minnie, just admit that you love us and our cuddles. Stop being a tsundere.” “I will stuff this controller down your mouth.” “You’re welcome to try.” “Ew, no thanks.”
A chuckle left Lixie at that, successfully having disarmed the puppy and his sharp words. A similar sound left my chest as well, the sound low and hard to hear, my head much more enjoying the two’s presence and scents. They mixed disgustingly well together, the freshness of the pup and the sweetness of the feline like a match made in heaven, especially with that hint of vanilla hidden beneath.
“Dal hyung, don’t fall asleep on me again please. Last time you did, I was forced to not move for 3 hours. My bladder can only hold so much.”
Lixie snorted at that and hard, turning away and pressing a hand against his lips, entire body shaking with silent laughter. I lifted myself up, one of my hands helping in the motion, eyes scrutinisingly looking at the pup underneath.
“You wanted cuddles, but the moment you get them, you dare complain?” - I huffed out, lips downturned in a scowl.
He looked away from me, not daring to hold eye contact, scent turning duller and more muted.
“At least lemme go to the toilet when needed, you greedy Hyung…” “Hm, maybe I will.”
The conversation died out after that, the three of us silently cuddling and simply enjoying the other’s presence. That same victory music had been playing the whole time, the words ‘Player 2 wins’ searing into the screen in big, bold letters. None of us moved to turn it off, Lixie’s breathing even turning deep, his mind taken to the lands of sleep in a short time.
A hand tangled into my long strands of hair, slowly creeping up to my ears and touching them gently. The hold on them was careful, as if he was afraid of something. Digits pressed into the soft fur, massaging the area soothingly, earning a content sigh from me. It felt wonderful, never once turning unpleasant or too rough.
I had nearly joined the softly snoring feline by the time the door opened, making me open my eyes and look around with my bleary vision.
“Oh, sorry, didn’t mean to disturb.” - it was the little squirrel, voice timid and I could already see the mental image of him fidgeting with his long sleeves before my eyes. “You’re fine. What did you want, Hyung?” - the puppy replied, sound kept at a low level for our comfort. “I uh… wanted to ask Bae hyung something?” - he was fidgeting, I was sure of it now, the soft rustling of the clothes merely confirming my suspicions.
Sungie usually wasn’t like this, his more outgoing persona in place in front of us, as if he was shielding this part of himself from the harsh world. It brought some worry into my mind, drawing a silent sigh out of my chest as I detached myself from Lixie and the pup -only after i had planted a fleeting kiss onto the skin of their necks-.
Sure enough, an anxious little herbivore greeted me, tail slightly tucked between his legs. My eyebrows furrowed, mind immediately filled with worries and all possible scenarios of what could have happened. A little smile made its way onto his lips once our eyes met, a little wobbly and even fearful.
The time it took me to cross the room to get to him could hardly be considered a second, my long legs carrying me there swiftly.
“A-ah, I’m okay Hyung, don’t look at me like that. I just… c’mere.” - he said, his own forehead creasing with worry at the sight of my expression, a hand latching onto one of mine.
He took me away, the door behind us softly pulled closed as he led the way to my own room, the click it had made loud in the shattering silence. I watched him pace around a bit once inside, one of his fingers pressed against plush lips, teeth nibbling at the skin and nail there. I was swiftly by his side once more, pulling the nearly bleeding digit away and smoothing down the irritated skin.
Eyes looked into each other, some tension leaving his form as he read my silent plea.
“I uhm, uuhh…” “Yes?” “I’mmakinganestandwantedtoaskforoneofyourhoodies!”
I blinked down at him, not really understanding what he had said, only seeing the red dust his cheeks faintly. At my head tilt he groaned into his free hand, cursing at himself silently.
“I said, I’m kinda making a nest and wanted to ask if maybe you could lend me that blue hoodie of yours? I know you love that one, so it’s okay if you say no, but that’s the only thing missing and- What are you doing?”
Not replying, I continued looking through my neatly put away clothes, easily finding the single piece of clothing he had been talking about. It was true what he had said, this particular hoodie was one of my favourites, its big size and thumb holes making it a comforting piece to wear. It even had a pocket in the front, one that I could reach through and stick my hand out on the other side. It was fun.
Thumbing the fabric and taking a deeper breath to make sure it had been soaked with my scent, I turned around and offered the hoodie up to him.
His boba eyes were wide as they stared up at me, unblinking, even his mouth was slightly agape. It confused me, not understanding his reaction to my actions.
Why wouldn’t I give it to him?
Those dark, chocolate orbs glistened as droplets started to form along their shining surface, raining down upon his skin and clothes. I grew alarmed, hastily dropping the clothing and rushing up to him, closing that small gap between us and wiping his tears away. The skin underneath my fingers was smooth and warm, heating up the cold, slender digits.
His sobs only worsened after my actions, making me halt and try to back away, to give him some space. But his hands were on my wrists in an instant, keeping me close and pulling me even closer.
I was frozen, not knowing what to do to comfort him, unable to hush the endless grateful words tumbling out of his lips. While they were muffled, his head buried into my chest, I still heard them crystal clear, growing sad from the implications of it.
Who dared to deny him comfort while nesting?
Herbivores loved to build them, to make themselves feel at home, safe and protected. That was the exact reason why only a select few could ever enter them, the notion of intruding upon them a sin amongst hybrids. The thought of Sungie having been deprived of it all sent a searing sensation down my spine, the emotions bubbling up from deep within. My teeth itched and fur bristled with a ferocity I hadn’t felt in a while, blinding me temporarily.
“–ng, Hyung, it’s okay, it’s okay. I’m fine now, hey, jagiya.” - his gentle words brought me back from that self-destructing train of thoughts, focus back on him and him alone and his impossibly soft voice.
A bittersweet little smile took its place on his face, one I didn’t like too much. It was one that was hiding pain and suffering, all past scars that had scabbed over long ago.
It was painfully familiar.
“Thank you for giving me your precious hoodie that you scented for me. Actually, hang on-”
His touch left me as I watched him go and retrieve said object, his own taken off of his form. My eyes widened in utter surprise, mouth sliding slightly open and remaining there, jaw set into place as if it had been glued there for eternity.
The skin on his body was the same as on his face, a warm shade and nearly free of any birthmarks. It looked soft, well taken care of, only the slight goosebumps were out of place as a cold breeze caressed him. Well, the only things besides something else.
That same skin sagged at his sides and down the lengths of his arms, looking irritated and uncomfortable. It had a reddish hue in the folds and at the edges, clearly chafed out from the extensive touches from coarse fabric he must have worn in the past regularly, if not always.
No wonder he had never shown any skin around us before, my despised suspicions confirmed and now set into stone. It sat heavily on me, my shoulders feeling an impossible weight falling onto them and worsening my posture. The air felt thinner, the acid in my stomach turning into a deadly raging sea, the waves dangerously rolling around and wishing to break free.
He looked so fragile, tiny form littered in undeserved scars and modifications that were deemed ugly by those around him, undeserving of his endless love and joy.
Because why else would he try so desperately to hide them?
The moment he was done, turning back around and slightly smiling at me with those chubby cheeks and rosy lips, something inside of me broke free, my power too small to do anything against it.
I didn’t want to anyway.
My arms picked him up with ease, the alarm bells inside my head still not liking how easily I had done so, despite seeing how he loved eating and had always done so with great vigour. The surprise died in his throat, never truly leaving his mouth and making its presence known. Tiny hands latched onto me, hands fisting the fabric underneath desperately.
His expression was that of utter disbelief, that faint red making a reappearance on his cheeks.
I pressed a chaste kiss to his forehead and held him tight, his head slotting itself into the crook of my neck and comfortably resting there. His shallow breaths tickled my throat with every exhale, yet it brought only comfort to me, as if something lost long ago had finally been found at last. Those tiny hands snaked around my neck and shoulders, trapping me as much against him, as I had trapped him against me. That grey, bushy tail was curled up around us, as if it was a big blanket ready to guide us to sleep.
After pressing my nose against the crown of his head for but a brief moment, my legs started taking us away and out of this room, having a clear goal in mind.
Only the thoughts of protecting the little herbivore in my hold circled around in my head, mind wired to keep him safe and out of harm’s touch. Anyone who would dare stand in my way would learn to pay the price, the easy, or the hard way.
Sungie’s room was dark, save for the few nightlights and string lights all running around the space, not leaving a single corner untouched. The closed door shut out all the remaining light that could pour in from the hallway, yet it posed no problem, my eyes adjusting in a few seconds.
His bed was in the middle, one of the shorter ends pushed up to a wall that was decorated with all kinds of things: different pictures, some from anime, some from things I didn’t recognise. He had some photos scattered around as well, either stuck up to a wall or laying on his cluttered desk, the furniture nearly having no empty spot left on its wooden surface. Clothing littered the floor, all belonging to the nearly sleeping boy in my arms, making me almost sigh out, had I not been too focused on something else.
The nest sat neatly on the bed, a messy little circular shape made from everything plush and soft you could ever imagine. Different blankets were woven into it, not only his, but seemingly Channie’s and Jisoo’s as well. The walls were proudly standing there, made out of different pieces of clothing. I could clearly see Lixie’s, Binnie’s and the pup’s shirts and hoodies in there, all in different colours and sizes. A single article of clothing was thrown over the walls haphazardly, its charcoal-infused scent betraying who it belonged to.
In the middle laid a few plushies -no doubt thanks to Lixie and Jisoo-, along with a few pillows, all belonging to a certain cat in our pack. The feline had clearly left an impression on the little squirrel, Lino’s scent being the closest to him whenever he decided to sleep in there.
My heart skipped a beat when I realised he had asked for my hoodie as well, for my scent, proudly wearing it in front of me.
“Can I go in?” - I murmured into his skin, the hand on his back now drawing long lines into the fabric.
He sluggishly nodded, no doubt dancing on the edge of sleep. Warmth erupted inside me, unable to believe he would trust me so much.
And yet, he had clearly done so.
The nest was as comfortable as it looked, the surface plush and well put together. All kinds of scents enveloped us, all wonderfully familiar and safe. Not a single thing was out of place, nor did they smell wrong.
The trees were tranquil, and so was the wind, peacefully dancing around the place and leading me to my beloved meadow. No thorn was in sight, nor was there any red or black paint. Instead it was quiet and serene, everything blooming and healthy, the sun not too warm, yet not too cold either.
Sungie stirred next to me, form basically swallowing mine with the way he had climbed on top of me, never truly letting me go. My hands caged him in, one placed on top of his back, the other onto his nape, playing with the hair there. Occasionally I started drawing shapes into his back, always careful not to irritate his skin or accidentally yank at it.
Shallow breaths eventually turned into deep ones, quiet snores leaving his nose as he was resting on top of my chest.
He looked finally relaxed, truly, as if a weight had been taken off his chest. He had always had this melancholic aura around him, never leaving him no matter how hard he tried, continuously following him like a dark cloud.
The door quietly opened, making my ears perk up and eyes search for our uninvited guest.
“Oh, just wanted to see how he was doing with the nest. I won’t be bothering then.” - Binnie said, voice much quieter than usual.
Yet, it was enough to rouse the squirrel up in my arms, round little ears flicking against my skin, leaving tingling trails in their wake. An unintelligible grumble left his squished lips, making the pika halt in his steps and question what he had heard.
“Dun leave, stayy.” - Sungie repeated, earning a chuckle from Binnie and a small smile from me.
The awake herbivore closed the door with a soft click and made his way towards us, scooting into the empty space to my left, letting Sungie steal one of his arms and cuddle it with no mercy. He laughed at that, saying ‘Someone’s cuddly today, eh?’, but he let it all happen with no resistance in any action of his, a happy smile rounding out his cheeks. Those usually acidic fruits now smelled impossibly sweet, their potent scent overpowering everything else and nestling easily into my nose.
Binnie scooted closer to let the sleeping squirrel hold his arm easier, his own head now resting on one of my shoulders and cuddling into me. His warmth seeped into me, urging me to bury my nose into his hair and nuzzle into him for a few seconds. Light chirps were my reward, my tail smacking against the blankets with a quiet thump.
“He was very nervous about building a nest here, y’know. So I’m very grateful for you being here and giving him that hoodie of yours, Bae hyung.” - I had never heard him so quiet in my entire life, making me slightly turn my head towards him.
His gaze was set on the person of our conversation, a light dancing in his eyes that I would usually see in Channie’s, its intensity so fierce, I was afraid of burning up inside.
Those dark orbs slid up to me, the entire power of the sun directed right at me and melting me in its entirety.
“I know you don’t think you did a lot, but it matters so much to him, to us. You keep giving me anything of yours that I want whenever I build a new nest, no questions asked, as if it’s all natural to you. You let him have your favourite hoodie, even cuddling him in his first nest in this house of ours. You’re like a safety blanket and you don’t even realise it.”
Every word he’d uttered felt like a weight released into the ocean of my soul, sinking down to the bottom, destined to remain there for the rest of eternity. The water only rose, struggling against its binds, but the dam held it back, standing strong and proud.
“It should be natural.” - I murmured back, tightening my hold on them and bringing Binnie closer, letting his head slide into the crook of my neck.
A shaky exhale hit my skin there, my thumb sliding back and forth along his exposed bicep, wishing to grant him even a speck of comfort. He only nuzzled into my neck, hiding inside deeper, as if wishing to take refuge there and away from the entire world. I freely let him do so, his nose pressing against my pulse and feeling the calm beats there. The longer he stayed like that, the more relaxed he became, body becoming all lax and letting me carry its weight.
It was serene, peaceful, nearly pulling me into a dreamless sleep as well.
Only their soft snores and occasional louder ones could be heard -no surprise, their necks were in weird angles-, along with the occasional sounds coming from the others in the house. A shout from Lixie, a weird sound from Lino, the dramatic whine of Jin or the boisterous laughter of the puppy.
If I focused hard enough, I could even hear Channie’s steady footsteps, going to greet Jisoo at the door as the man had arrived back from another hard day of work, no doubt exhausted to the bone, as usual. The others would go and greet him as well, usually me included, happy to finally see him and have a brief chat. Then, they would go back to what they had been doing, just like now, Jisoo being left alone to get ready for bed and sleep.
Although this time, he hadn’t done that. No, instead he went with the wolf, the two seemingly arguing about something as they went into a nearby room, not knowing we were inside here and I could hear everything, only thanks to my sharp senses.
“Chan, I really can’t do this right now. Can’t we talk about this tomorrow or something?” “Naur, absolutely not. You keep saying that and it’s already been a week!”
They remained quiet after that, either whispering or not speaking at all.
“Look, I know you have a good paying job and you want only the best for us. But you can’t expect to support 8 hybrids by yourself! You’ll wear yourself thin, heck, you’re already doing that! Constantly staying there for long hours, sometimes not even coming home for the night. You can’t keep doing this!” “Then WHAT?! Should I send back Sungie and Minnie to the centre, for others to adopt? I know fully well you guys have already bonded, I’m not fucking blind! Jesus christ, who do you think I am? I work with animals, I have at least a little bit of inkling as to how hybrids work!” - Jisoo nearly shouted with the full force of his lungs, gradually becoming quieter and quieter, until I could hardly hear the words he uttered.
The silence after that was unsettling, digging its claws into my chest and stomach. A strained little sound could be heard from their direction, although I couldn’t really tell what it was.
“Of course I know, Ji, ‘course I do. I never said you don’t know these things, gods, never ever think so. You’re smart, and you take very good care of us. All I’m saying is to let me share this burden with you. Paying for a house expansion is no cheap task. We could publish some of our music with Bin, hm? Find some easy, hybrid-friendly jobs, ye? C’mere.” - the wolf’s voice was as soothing as when he had first talked to me, back in that all white bathroom. “I kno’, I’m sorry. I’m such an asshole for shouting, fucking hell, I’m so, so sorry.” “Shh, it’s okay, I know you were just frustrated with the situation and not with me. I would be equally as irritated as you if I worked as much as you do, especially with such assholes and incompetent coworkers.”
This comment drew a wet sounding chuckle out of Jisoo, the claws now partially unhooked and free from my chest.
“You’re so right you don’t even know. How do you always say the right things?” “A magician never reveals his secrets.” “You’re no magician.” “But I made your sadness disappear, didn’t I?” “YoU–”
A smack could be heard followed by laughter, my mind soon zoning out and ignoring whatever happened after that.
They were staying?
Chapter 2: famous hybrid
It was Friday, which meant you could finally take a break from your hectic work life. You threw the blankets off and were met with a chill in the air, so you grabbed a hoodie from your closet. Yawning, you thought to yourself, "I should go see if Chan is doing any better."
You tiptoed down the hallway in case your new hybrid wolf, Chan, was still snoozing as you approached the door. You had gone from living a solitary life with no obligations to being responsible for another creature overnight.
Opening the door to Chan's room, you saw him stirring in his sleep. His chest rose and fell with each breath, his fur rustling as he shifted positions. You couldn't help but feel a sense of calm wash over you as you watched him sleep.
You approached Chan cautiously, aware of how deceptively tranquil he appeared. The soft sound of your footsteps barely disturbing the stillness that surrounded him. You very carefully nudged him awake and spoke softly in his ear, "Chan, wake up. Come on, I'll make us some breakfast."
In a flash, Chan's eyes flew open with such force it seemed as though they could shatter glass. He glared at you with an intensity that was almost threatening before realizing it was only you who had woken him from his slumber. "Y/N," he said, his voice ragged with sleep. "I'm sorry. I don't understand what possessed me to react in such a way."
The room felt heavy with tension, like a storm cloud hanging low before bursting into a torrential downpour. The air was thick with the scent of burning incense and the sharp tang of metal. It felt like the calm before the storm, like anything could happen at any moment.
"Hey don't sweat it I should have been more careful anyway since it's my day off how about we go shopping." Chan's eyes softened as he looked at you, seemingly relieved that you weren't angry at him for his initial reaction. "Shopping sounds great," he replied, his tail wagging in excitement.
You smiled, glad to see Chan in better spirits.
"All right, but before we go out I must put a collar on you for safety reasons."
Hybrids that aren't officially owned are required to have a collar when going out, whereas those who do have an owner usually get microchipped. Chan looked at you with fear in his eyes the collar brought trauma from his past life.
You knew that putting a collar on Chan might upset him, but you also knew it was for his own safety. You approached him slowly, trying to keep your movements calm and reassuring.
"Chan, I know the collar might be scary for you, but it's important for your safety. I promise to make it as comfortable as possible," you said, trying to soothe him.
Chan hesitated for a moment before nodding his head, indicating his reluctant agreement. You carefully slipped the collar around his neck, making sure it wasn't too tight, and fastened it securely. Chan let out a low growl, but you could tell it was more out of fear than anger.
"It's okay, Chan. Deep breaths," you said, stroking his fur gently.
After a few minutes, Chan seemed to calm down. He looked up at you with a mixture of gratitude and trust.
"Thanks, Y/N." You smiled at him before getting ready and heading out.
As they approached the mall, the aroma of popcorn and barbecue wafted through the air mixed with perfumes and cologne. The parking lot was jammed with cars, and people streamed in and out of the sliding glass doors.
Chan's brow furrowed as he looked around at the throngs of people rushing past him, some carrying shopping bags, others clutching children's hands. It was clear that he hadn't been to a mall before, but she squeezed his hand reassuringly as they navigated through the crowd.
"Chan if there's anything you want let me know I'll buy it for you." The hybrid
looked at you with a mix of surprise and gratitude, clearly not used to being offered such kindness.
"Thank you, Y/N. I don't really need anything, but I appreciate the offer," Chan replied, his tail wagging slightly.
As they walked through the mall, Chan seemed fascinated by everything around him. He sniffed the air, taking in the different scents that wafted by and his eyes darted around as he watched people walk by. You pointed out different stores and explained what they sold, and Chan listened attentively. Suddenly, Chan froze in his tracks
"What is it, Chan?" you asked,
Chan gestured towards a poster outside of a store which featured an iconic hybrid model. "I didn't realize hybrids could get jobs," he remarked.
"Well, you know that Hyunjin isn't just any ordinary hybrid; he's a ferret hybrid who is very popular in the field for his good looks."
Hyunjin had been the poster-hybrid for the world of hybrids, with his owners working hard to keep him in the public eye. But then he went missing without a trace.
Speculation ran rampant, with questions swirling around why and how he vanished from sight. Were his owners involved? Some said yes while others shook their heads in disbelief.
You could see the intrigue and curiosity written all over Chan's face. He couldn't believe that a hybrid could become so famous and popular.
"Y/N, do you think I could become a famous hybrid too?" Chan asked, his eyes shining with hope.
You smiled at him, touched by his innocence and ambition. "Of course, Chan. You could be anything you want to be. Just remember to always stay true to yourself."
Chan beamed at you, his tail wagging furiously. You could tell that he was excited by the prospect of a bright future ahead of him.
As they continued to walk through the mall, you noticed that people were staring at Chan. Some looked at him with admiration, while others looked at him with fear and suspicion. You could tell that Chan was becoming increasingly uncomfortable, so you decided to leave the mall and head back home.
On the drive back, Chan was quiet, lost in thought. You could tell that he was still processing everything he had seen and experienced.
"Chan, are you okay?" you asked, worried about him.
Chan looked at you, his eyes serious. "I just can't believe how different the world is for hybrids. It's like we're constantly under scrutiny and can never truly be ourselves."
You nodded, understanding his frustration. "It's not fair, but we'll work to change that. You should never have to feel like you have to hide who you are."
Chan smiled at you gratefully, his eyes wide with relief. You returned the gesture and then followed his gaze to the rod, but before you could do anything else, Chan yelled out a warning. Instinctively, your foot slammed down on the break, barely avoiding a collision with a figure that seemed to come out of nowhere.
As they stumbled away, you saw their clothes were covered in dirt and grime - but something about them seemed off-kilter. Then it hit you: they had a tail.
You looked at Chan and saw the fear in his eyes, realizing that the hybrid was probably one who didn't have an owner. You knew that living on the streets was dangerous, especially for hybrids who were often subject to cruelty and abuse.
"Chan, we have to help them," you said, determined to do what you could for the hybrid.
Chan nodded his agreement, and you got out of the car and approached the hybrid cautiously. They looked up at you with a mix of fear and desperation in their eyes.
"Are you okay?" you asked gently, hoping to put them at ease.
The hybrid nodded, but you could tell they were lying. They were thin, their clothes ragged and torn, and their eyes were sunken in from lack of sleep and malnutrition.
"You don't have to be scared," Chan said softly, "We want to help you." The hybrid looked up at Chan, and you could see the recognition in their eyes.
"You're a hybrid too," they said, their voice hoarse from disuse.
Chan nodded, a solemn look on his face. "Yes, I am. And I know what it's like to be out on the streets with no one to turn to."
The other hybrid looked at him with a mixture of surprise and gratitude. "Thank you. I haven't had much luck finding help lately."
You could see that the hybrid was in bad shape, and you knew that something needed to be done to help them.
"Chan, can you get a blanket from the trunk? We need to get them some food and water too," you said, gesturing towards the other hybrid.
Chan nodded and quickly retrieved a blanket from the trunk. You wrapped it around the other hybrid's shoulders, trying to provide some warmth and comfort.
"Here, drink some water," you said, handing them a bottle.
The other hybrid drank greedily, their thirst quenched after days without proper hydration. You could see the relief in their eyes as they continued to drink.
After they finished, you handed them a sandwich and some fruit. They ate hungrily, their hunger pangs finally subsiding.
"Thank you so much," the other hybrid said between bites. "I can't tell you how much this means to me."
"You don't have to thank us," Chan said. "We're just doing what we can to help."
The other hybrid looked at Chan with newfound respect and admiration. "You're a good hybrid, Chan. I wish there were more like you out there."
You could see the change in the other hybrid's demeanor, their fear and desperation replaced by hope and gratitude.
"Listen, we can't just leave you out here like this," you said, determined to help them in any way you could. "Y/N has a spare room at her place and you're welcome to stay there until you get back on
help those in need, one at a time. And that's exactly what you planned on doing for this hybrid.
When you reached your apartment, you pointed the hybrid in the direction of the guest room and let them know where the bathroom was. As you walked away from the room, you heard the shower start up, and you breathed a sigh of relief. Turning your gaze, you saw Chan leaning against the
Chan glanced up at the wall, pondering. "I understand that we've saved them, but I'm not sure getting emotionally invested in them is a wise idea."
You nodded in agreement, understanding Chan's reservations. "I know what you mean, Chan. It's hard not to get attached, but we have to think about what's best for everyone involved."
Chan looked at you, his eyes lighting up with understanding. "Right, we can't just take them in without thinking about the consequences. We need to be responsible and make sure that we can provide for them."
You smiled at Chan, proud of how much he had grown and matured. "Exactly. We'll make sure that we're doing everything we can to help them, but we'll also make sure that we're not putting ourselves in a difficult situation."
Chan nodded, his tail wagging slightly. "I understand. And I think we can do this, Y/N. We can help them and make a difference in their lives." You smiled at Chan, knowing that he was right.
The gurgle and whistle of the shower stopped, and a light steam filled the room. The bathroom door creaked open slowly as if under its own power. And there stood Hyunjin, the famous ferret hybrid - fur shining, striped tail twitching. You and Chan were stunned; what was going on here?
All the gossip rags said he had vanished without a trace, yet there he was right in front of Chan and you.
Hyunjin stared back at you and spoke " umm I really enjoyed the shower and thank you for letting me into your home."
You and Chan were both at a loss for words, surprised by the sudden appearance of a famous hybrid in your home. Chan recovered first and spoke up, "It's no problem at all. We're just glad we could help you."
Hyunjin smiled at Chan gratefully before turning his attention back to you. "I'm sorry to intrude like this, but I didn't know where else to go."
You could see the fear and desperation in his eyes, and you knew that he was in trouble.
"It's okay," you said reassuringly, "You can stay here until things calm down."
Hyunjin nodded, a relieved look on his face. "Thank you so much. I really appreciate it."
You could see that Hyunjin was still shaking, and you knew that he needed some rest. "Chan, can you show Hyunjin to the guest room? He looks like he could use some sleep."
Chan nodded and led Hyunjin to the guest room, making sure that he had everything he needed before leaving him to rest.
As you sat on the couch, contemplating the sudden turn of events, Chan joined you.
"I can't believe it," Chan said, still in shock. "Hyunjin, one of the most famous hybrids, is sleeping in our guest room."
You chuckled at Chan's excitement, but you could also see the worry in his eyes. "We need to be careful, Chan. Who knows what kind of trouble Hyunjin is in."
Chan gave a solemn nod in response. "You are correct," he said. "We must remain cautious and ensure that we don't put ourselves in harm's way." Little did either of you know in the room was a frightened Hyunjin whose life was about to take an unexpected turn.
Tumblr media
Maybe it won’t be as bad as I thought. I have them after all. Come at me world, I’m not alone anymore, I have a family that will protect me now. So give me your worst, I will be able to handle it as long as I have them.
Tumblr media
Third person POV
After receiving encouragement from Han, and the other 7 members, (Y/n) found some courage to step into that meeting room. The hybrid still felt nervous and scared but she wanted to stop being afraid because she knew that with them, with Stray Kids, she was safe. Although, she was a bit confident, (Y/n) still held onto Han’s hand with no intention of letting go. Han gave her a comforting squeeze and smile as he walked in behind her, happy that he could help the bunny feel better. Whilst (Y/n) found the meeting quite boring, she didn’t let it show on her face as she didn’t want to seem disrespectful. 2 hours later and the meeting was over, time for breakfast.
(Y/n) happily skipped out of the meeting room once the other people had left and it was only her and her family left. “Happy that the meeting is over?” Seungmin had walked up to her and gave her a playful smile. “Maybe,” Seungmin put his hand on her head, in between her ears, and ruffled around her hair a little. “Don’t worry, I find those meetings super boring too. The only one who actually enjoys them is Chan-hyung, or, rather, he’s the only one who tolerates them. But, we all have to go or it would look bad.” “YA! Hyung, stop messing up her hair. It took me 5 minutes to get it perfect” Jeongin ran up and playfully swatted Seungmin’s hand away from (Y/n)’s head, seeing the two youngest acting like this, chasing each other around with big smiles made the hybrid feel incredibly safe, she was at peace, so much so that she even ended up running after the two boys. The other members who were walking a few steps behind all stopped in shock at seeing their beloved little (Y/n) with the largest smile yet, running after the maknaes, while laughing loudly. The scene seemed like something from a movie where a child is playing with their friends. “Hey, wait for me!” (Y/n) shouted as she ran after Seungmin and Jeongin. “Come and get us then,” Seeing Seungmin acting like this at the company was unusual, at home or on variety shows he could act even sillier but never at the company. Perhaps it wasn’t only the SKZ members who brought out a more carefree side of the hybrid but the hybrid also did the same for them.
Seungmin, Jeongin, and (Y/n) chased each other in a game of tag all the way to the cafeteria where they were to eat some breakfast. The rest of the group soon joined them outside the doors and then they walked in as one group. (Y/n) was surprised at how many people there were in the cafeteria, she thought they would be pretty much the only ones as it was early. “How come so many people are here right now?” Seungmin, who was the closest to her, turned his head and looked down at her. “Oh, right. Well, a lot of the idols do like us, go to the morning meeting and then eat breakfast here. Some of the other employees eat sort of a brunch now because they have meetings from 9 am to 2-3 pm if not even later, so by eating a larger meal now, they won’t have to eat during the normal lunch hour and then they can eat an afternoon snack after the meetings are over,” The hybrid nodded her head in understanding, it made sense. If SKZ had this schedule then many others did too. “Are you okay? If you feel overwhelmed by the number of people you don’t have to eat right now. We can work something out and find a time for you and one or two of us to go later,” Seungmin offered her his as he saw (Y/n) looking around at all the filled seats in the cafeteria with a somewhat worried look on her face. “No, it’s fine,” “Are you sure? You seem worried,” “Mm, I was just looking around trying to find a table that would all of us, but I can’t find any empty tables,” “Oh, yeah. As I said that’s common at this time. We rarely manage to sit together during these breakfasts here. But we’ll manage to find a table that will fit you and at least one of us, we won’t leave you alone,” “Can you sit with me, Seungmin?” Seungmin was shocked at the question. He rarely found himself to be the caring, comforting type, he was more the jokester, making things better by joking around but not really taking care of the problem. So he was a bit surprised that the hybrid wanted him to be the one to sit with her, Seungmin was prepared for (Y/n) to ask Minho, Hyunjin, Felix, or really anyone of the others except himself. “Of course, I will,” While he was shocked that the bunny chose him, he was also happy. Happy that he too was a safe space for her. “Come on, let’s go get some food and then find a table,”
Minutes later, (Y/n) was holding a tray in her hands with a plate of [insert food of choice] and a smoothie. “You really fell in love with smoothies, huh?” Chan said from behind them as he picked up his own tray. “Yeah, they’re so good,” Chan just smiled before waving a little goodbye and walking away with the rest of the group following after him. “Let’s go, we’ll try and find something over here,” And so, Seungmin and (Y/n) walked over to the other side of the cafeteria in search of a table where they could sit. Seungmin soon laid eyes on a table with two empty seats, and some familiar faces. “Hey, do you think you would be okay to sit over there?” Seungmin pointed over to the table where a group of 5 girls was sitting and chatting with each other. (Y/n) looked at the table carefully, a little worried that they would be annoyed and think that (Y/n) was just a bother. “Do you know them?” (Y/n) shyly asked. “Yeah, I do. We were trainees at the same time and have done a couple of training sessions together,” “Okay, then it’s fine,” “Don’t worry, they’re really nice,” And so the two walked up to the table, the five girls had noticed them after Seungmin waved to Ryujin who had seen them first. “Hey, would it be okay if we sat here?” “Of course! This must be your newest Stray Kid! Hi, we’re Itzy! I’m Yeji, this is Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and our youngest, Yuna,” (Y/n) was a little taken aback by how nice the girls seemed. As soon as Seungmin had asked if they could sit there, the five girls made sure to scootch in a little so there was plenty of space for the singer and the hybrid. (Y/n) shyly waved to the girls and whispered a ‘hi’ before she sat down her tray on the table and took a seat. “This is (Y/n), our cute bunny hybrid. She’s a little shy around new people, so don’t be sad if she doesn’t talk with you,” “That’s okay, it must be overwhelming for you, being here. Well, if you ever manage to lose the boys, you can always come to us and we’ll help you,” Chaeryeong said, her kind smile helping (Y/n) feel more at ease around the girls. After that, the Itzy girls returned to their own conversation, leaving (Y/n) and Seungmin to talk just them.  “Mm, after eating we all have some unit practices or individual schedules and you can choose who you want to follow. I think Chan-hyung and Changbin-hyung have a meeting with some producers regarding some song they have written or something, Danceracha - so Minho-hyung, Hyunjin-hyung, and Lixie-hyung, are scheduled to look over the choreography for our upcoming comeback, while Han-hyung, Innie, and myself are scheduled for some vocal training. What sounds most interesting to you?” Seungmin said before taking a big bite out of his food. (Y/n) looked down at her food as she thought long and hard about the options Seungmin had presented. “Mm, I think I want to go with Minho, Hyunjin, and Felix. But I also want to go with you, Innie, and Han,” Seungmin smiled at (Y/n) as he reached out and took one of her hands into his. “There will be plenty of opportunities for you to go with all of us to these things and none of us is going to feel offended if you choose dance over vocals or whatever you choose. So if you want to go with Danceracha today, and you want to go with Vocalracha tomorrow that’s completely fine,” (Y/n)’s eyes were completely fixated on her hand inside Seungmin’s, it felt so soft, so safe. (Y/n) realized that day how much she liked holding hands with the people she likes. “Then, I’ll go with Danceracha now and then later maybe I’ll come with you,” “Great! Okay, let’s finish our breakfast. You’re gonna need the energy if you’re supposed to keep up with Minho-hyung leading a dance practice,” Just as Seungmin was about to let go of (Y/n)’s hand, the bunny squeezed it just so lightly that the singer would have missed it had he not seen her hand twitch. He understood that she wasn’t ready to let go just yet, and truthfully, neither was he. So even if it made eating his breakfast harder, Seungmin held on to the bunny’s small and soft hand. (Y/n) relaxed once again as she realized that Seungmin wouldn’t let go of her hand and so she too continued eating her breakfast, this time with a shy smile as her fingers sometimes tapped against Seungmin’s hand to remind her that he was still holding her.
Minho knew he shouldn’t have gone on TikTok, but the cat hybrid never did anything that was good for him. There were dozens of other things he could have been doing - like laundry or making dinner for himself and Jisung - but instead, he decided to be lazy and scroll through the multitude of 60-second videos on his For You Page. And somehow, he got thrown down a rabbit hole of cleaning videos and came out on the other side of babytok. Now, he wasn’t a stranger to this side of TikTok, usually only visiting the hashtag when his heat was right around the corner. But today was different. He was a good two or so weeks away from his heat cycle, with no preheat symptoms in sight. So it should have been relatively easy for him to just continue to scroll or search for a different hashtag.
But he didn’t.
There was just something telling him that he needed to watch more baby videos - to coo and fond over the little creatures. And Minho was not one to deprive himself of something he wanted. Which is how he ended up on the very video that set off a chain reaction in his body. Like previous videos, he was shown a baby, nor more than a few months old, sticking their tongue out at the camera in a manner that reminded him of a cat drinking water. It was absolutely adorable and he couldn’t stop the giggles that left him. But his heart absolutely melted when the baby made the cutest little noise - a mixture of a sigh and yawn with a scrunched up face.
“I want one.” he whispered into the empty living room, ears flattening against his head as he mewled sadly. “I really, really want one.” With a few taps of his fingers, Minho was sending the video to his boyfriend who was still at work. He didn’t actually expect a reply from the other, knowing there was an upcoming deadline that had to be met and Chan was rather mean when he was stressed. It was better to not disturb the trio of producers, but that video was just begging for Minho to send it.
Hanji❤️
Cute baby
Minho could only snort at the reply he received, tail curling around his thigh as he rolled onto his side, precariously balanced on the edge of the couch.
Hanji❤️
I want it
Babe, that’s someone’s baby. You can’t steal it!
He pouted, rolling his eyes because Jisung was right. He couldn’t just out right steal someone’s kid from them. That wasn’t a nice thing to do. Besides, it wouldn’t be their baby and that’s what Minho really wanted. A little kitten hybrid that looked like the two of them. Or at the very least looked like Jisung and inherited Minho’s brains.
Hanji❤️
Then let’s make our own.
Hyung…
Jisung…
Not right now.
Minho scoffed, pushing himself up on the couch with a frown, fingers furiously tapping against the screen. After each message he wrote, he would delete it - 100% sure that his words would be too mean. Eventually he settled on a simple question, because things were a lot easier when he made them simple.
Hanji❤️
When then?
He didn’t receive an immediate text back like before, and figured that Jisung had probably gone back to focusing on his work. But after three hours - and being left on read for two of those hours - he realized he wasn’t going to get an answer. Well that was fine, two could play at that game.
---
Minho may have taken his revenge a little too far. He had only planned to ignore Jisung for the rest of the day (once he returned home from work). But one day turned into two, turned into five and before he knew it, they were two weeks in and the two of them were dancing on eggshells around each other. Well, Jisung was dancing around, Minho didn’t really care. And it was stupid. Minho knew that he was just being stubborn and there was nothing he was really trying to “prove” anymore. It was more about principle? Maybe not even that. Maybe he was just too stubborn to admit he was being childish.
“Baby.” Jisung called out and Minho grunted from his perch by the window, the warm rays of the sun warming his body. “I’m leaving. See you later.” Jisung paused as he opened the front door. “I love you.” Minho grunted again and that was the only acknowledgement Jisung received, though he wasn’t surprised at Minho's actions. Jisung's departure only left a larger gaping hole in Minho's chest and he hated it. Even though the hybrid had never really been the most affectionate, he really missed Jisung's cuddles and touches. There was just something about the way the human could make him feel through simple little actions - things none of his previous owners had ever come close to. Jisung loved to tease that they were soulmates, “meant to be” as silly as that was.
But...maybe?
With a heavy sigh, Minho rolled onto his back, staring up at the ceiling. His mind was racing with a million thoughts - too loud, too cluttered. Grabbing his phone, he unlocked it and opened up TikTok, scrolling through post after post. He tried his hardest to not interact with any posts that were about babies and children, but it was hard when the algorithm sucked and it seemed the universe was hellbent on reminding Minho how desperately he wanted a child. He wasn't getting any younger and the older he got, the louder his biological clock ticked.
One baby video turned into two, turned into three, and then morphed into pregnancy videos and then into kitten videos, followed by more baby videos. He felt like he was in baby hell. And yet, he didn't close the app nor do something else to distract himself. He kept scrolling - kept watching. And his heart kept melting until he was a puddle of kitty goo, slowly sliding off his window perch, tail swishing happily behind him as he rolled about on the floor.
And that's where Jisung found hours later. In the same spot on the floor, just below the perch as the sun began to set. His soft sigh is what pulled Minho from his phone, ears twitching towards the sound. "Oh, you're home!" The warm smile thrown his way really surprised Jisung, a look of shock crossing his face. Climbing to his feet, Minho crossed the short distance to the front door and threw his arms around Jisung's neck, soft purrs rumbling in his chest as he nuzzled against his boyfriend. There was a slight hesitation before Jisung returned his hug, hands resting on his hips. "Welcome home."
"Thank you." Jisung swallowed slightly, turning his head to try and stare at Minho, but the other buried his face further into his neck. "Min, are you alright?" he asked softly. Minho hummed in confirmation, tail flicking about behind him. It wasn't really the confirmation that he wanted, but he took it anyway, stroking Minho's back gently. They stood there like that for a few minutes before Minho finally pulled away and looked at Jisung. It was like two magnets finally coming together, lips locking in a deep kiss that seared Minho right to the bone. His ears flattened down, tail moving to curl around one of Jisung's arms, clinging tight to him. A soft mewl escaped Minho's lips, only to be swallowed by Jisung's mouth as the younger tilted their heads - his tongue slipping between Minho's parted lips.
Fingers gripped tightly to broad shoulders, pulling Jisung impossibly closer to him. Their tongues danced together, fighting for dominance that Minho so willingly gave up when Jisung coaxed his tongue into his mouth and sucked on it; shivers running down his spine. Heat was bubbling just under the surface of Minho's skin, so familiar but so different. He knew it was nowhere near time for his heat, but his body was reacting like he was. It was strange and a little frightening. Breaking the kiss, Minho panted as he gave Jisung's shoulder a squeeze, shifting on his feet as he tried to figure out what he was feeling, why and if they should continue because God did he want to continue. Two weeks was way too long to be without Jisung and his addicting touches.
"What's wrong?" As if reading Minho's mind, Jisung gripped his chin and lifted the hybrid's head up to look at him. There were so many emotions flashing in Minho's eyes while his face stayed as stoic as always. So typical of Minho, but that's what made Jisung different - made Jisung the right person. He could always read Minho in a way that others never could. While others would think Minho was being mean or rude, Jisung knew that Minho was playing around, or joking. Any sort of sarcastic comment was Minho's love language. So it was easy for Jisung to see when something was bothering his boyfriend.
"I feel-" Minho paused, trying to figure out the right word to describe how he was feeling, but he certainly couldn't say that he was in heat when he wasn't, but he couldn't describe the feeling any other way. It felt like he was in heat, only without the symptoms. "Weird." he finished. By the look on Jisung's face, that wasn't the correct word to use either.
"Weird?” Jisung paroted, head cocking so cutely to the side that Minho couldn’t help but coo at his appearance, though it came out more as a soft purr. Jisung raised a brow at the reaction and reached up, carding his fingers through Minho’s hair before stroking his ears gently - wanting very much to pull more sounds from the other.
Minho barely nodded, his purrs rumbling deep in chest as a flush slowly crawled across his cheeks. His tail whipped behind him wildly before curling around Jisung’s thigh and squeezing. The touch had the human stilling, legs parting a bit more so as not to accidentally hurt the appendage. Minho let out a shaky breath as he looked up at Jisung, pupils blown wide as the heat started to spread. It scared him, because Minho knew he had at least two more weeks or better before his actual heat was supposed to start. Yet there was an inferno raging inside him. He mewled.
“What’s wrong, baby?” Jisung’s hands left his head and cupped his cheeks, cradling his face in such a tender embrace that it had Minho’s heart skipping a beat.
“Hot.”
Jisung blinked in rapid succession - a habit he picked up from Minho - as he tried to process the situation. “You’re hot?” Minho nodded slowly, lips parting as he panted softly. Realization seemed to dawn on the human. “You’re in heat?”
“I…don’t know.” Minho was absolutely sure this wasn’t his heat but it was a heat of some sort. Maybe a pseudo heat, but for what reason, he couldn’t be sure. All he knew is that talking was a waste of time. He needed Jisung. “Please.” He whispered, tail constricting around Jisung’s thigh harder.
“Okay, okay.” Jisung gulped, eyes raking over Minho’s form before taking his hand. “Come on, let’s move to the bedroom.” Minho followed along rather easily, each step shakier than the next. The inferno was growing rapidly and spreading like wildfire and he was sure his skin was radiating heat. Their bedroom was cooler than the living room, blinds still closed as Minho had not been in there since he had woken up. It was enough of a chill to take the edge off to where he didn’t feel like he was melting, but the heat was definitely becoming unbearable.
Crawling into the bed, Minho laid face first in the sheets, mewling softly as he wiggled around to get situated. The mattress dipped next to his thighs, Jisung climbing on behind him, laying across Minho’s body. The added weight was so comforting and sort of scratched an itch that he hadn’t quite realized he had yet. “Sungie.” He whispered breathlessly.
“Shh.” The gentle shush had Minho’s insides twisting with desire and he whined, pressing his hips back against Jisung - feeling his hardness pressing against his thighs. Tender kisses were placed along his neck, pulling hushed noises from the hybrid. He rocked back against Jisung again and was met with a harsh buck - a heated gasp falling from Minho’s parted lips. “So responsive baby.” Jisung cooed gently, lips brushing against one of Minho’s ears, feeling it twitch at the touch. “Sure you’re not in heat?”
Minho whined and wiggled against his boyfriend, wanting to feel more than just Jisung’s hard covered cock. “I-I -” he cleared his throat. He absolutely hated how vulnerable and wrecked he sounded. “I don’t think so.” His voice was still soft, but more stable - confusion laced with every word. “But I’m so hot…Sungie.” Strong hands roamed his back and slipped down to his sides, a pathetic moan falling from his lips as his body trembled at the touch. Despite Jisung being smaller than him in stature, his hands had always been bigger and a guilty pleasure of Minho’s. He absolutely loved when his boyfriend would touch him, hold him - the way his fingers would splay and cover such a large expanse of skin. He shivered as cold fingers slipped under his shirt, skirting up his torso and skimming over his nipples.
“I got you, Min.” Jisung mummered, fingers plucking at the hardened nubs, doing his best to suppress his own moans as Minho trembled under his grasp, high pitched whines falling from Minho’s parted lips. “So sensitive.” Minho could hear the smirk in his voice.
“Stop teasing.” Reaching down, Minho batted at Jisung’s hands, pushing them away as he turned over and looked up at the other. “Don’t want it.” He all but pouted at the other and for a brief moment, a sincere fondness flashed across Jisung’s face. Just long enough to have Minho’s heart racing and gut twisting in a weird mixture of arousal and love. “Please.”
Leaning down, Jisung captured Minho’s lips in a heated kiss. Lips melded together as hands grasped and fumbled with clothing, yanking in many different ways to pull the offending material off. Unfortunately, Jisung had to break the kiss in order to rid Minho of his shirt, dark eyes raking over his exposed chest. Minho could feel how hot his skin was and could only imagine how flushed he was. He hated it, but at least it was at a more bearable level than normal. Reaching out, he grabbed the front of Jisung’s work shirt, fingers tugging button after button out of its hole until the shirt hung open over Jisung’s frame. The material shifted with every rise and fall of Jisung’s chest, exposing golden skin before hiding it just as quickly, teasing the cat.
Looking up into Jisung’s eyes, Minho leaned in and ran his hands over the other’s chest - nails scratching lightly over the hard planes of muscles. Jisung took in a shuddering breath at the touch, pupils dilating further. Minho expected many things from the human, but to be pushed back on the bed so suddenly was not one of them. But he couldn’t complain, not when Jisung slipped his way between his legs and made quick work of Minho’s pants and underwear. Minho was vaguely aware of the sounds of something heavy hitting the floor, but his attention was mostly taken with the way Jisung was eyeing him like a piece of meat. The hunger swirling in Jisung’s eyes had him mewling and readily submitting to the other. Minho at least had the decency to blush as he so shamelessly lifted and parted his legs wider for his boyfriend, giving him the perfect view of his flushed cock and fluttering pink hole.
“Look at that.” Jisung smirked as he lightly pressed his index finger against Minho’s hole. “You want something so badly to fill you don’t you?” It was more of a statement than it was a question, and Minho nodded his head so rapidly he thought he gave himself whiplash.
“Jisung…please.”
“So fucking needy.” Jisung growled out, voice low and husky as Minho swore it reverberated in his chest. His thighs trembled and tried to close as a desperate moan came tumbling out of his mouth. In that moment, Minho wanted nothing more than for Jisung to fill him because he was indeed just that needy. But to his dismay, Jisung was pulling away and Minho scrambled to grab at him, latching onto his wrist to keep him close.
“No, please.” He was not above begging at this point.
“Babe,” Jisung chuckled, shifting to hover back over him. Dipping his head down, he caught Minho’s lips in a sweet and tender kiss, taking the hybrid by surprise. “I need to get the lube.” he whispered against Minho’s lips before he was pulling away and shuffling over to the bedside table. It was only then that Minho realized that despite the raging inferno of a heat that was coursing through his body, he was not producing any slick - which only seemed to confirm his suspicions that this wasn’t his real heat. Whatever he was going through was mimicking all aspects of his heat except for that one crucial aspect that would make everything just move faster.
Minho jolted and hissed as a cold, wet finger pressed against his hole once more. Jisung’s finger circled his hole, petting the fluttering rim before slowly pushing in. A sharp spike of pleasure rolled through Minho’s body as he cried out softly, fingers gripping the sheets under him tightly as his back arched. “Oh god.” he whispered, pulling his bottom lip between his teeth, lidded eyes staring intently at his boyfriend. Jisung smirked, throwing a wink at Minho as he twisted his finger quickly, wrenching another moan from Minho’s lips as his ears flattened down on his head, chest heaving. Leaning down, Jisung pressed tender kisses to Minho’s flushed chest - lips slowly making their way to a nipple and wrapping around it.
Gasping, Minho tensed, hole clenching around the digit still moving inside him. He hated how sensitive his body became, but loved the pleasure that Jisung brought him. Jisung curled his finger, pressing and stroking against his walls as his mouth worked over Minho’s pebbled nipple. “Jisungie, please.” Minho wasn’t sure what he was begging for, the words falling from his lips before they could even register in his brain. All he knew was that he wanted more. Jisung seemed to know exactly what he wanted and one finger became two, which eventually became three, moving in tandem - stretching Minho until he was a crying, babbling mess on the bed.
“You’re so beautiful.” Jisung cooed, fingers slipping free. Grabbing the lube, Jisung opened the cap and poured more onto his fingers, grabbing his cock and coating it. Minho wasn’t sure when Jisung had gotten rid of his pants, and he honestly couldn’t care. One less obstacle in his way of getting the itch he’s been feeling scratched. He watched the way Jisung’s cock twitched in his grip, a pearl of precum beading at the tip and it was only then that Minho realized just how much Jisung wanted this too. “Ready?”
Biting his bottom lip, Minho nodded, not sure he could trust his voice at the moment. Jisung’s hand gripped his right thigh, finger digging into the flushed flesh and sending another wave of arousal through Minho. Grabbing the back of his left thigh, Minho pulled it closer to his chest, exposing himself even more, delighted in the way Jisung’s breath hitched. “Jesus, babe.” Gripping the base of his cock, Jisung shifted forward, pressing the head against Minho’s stretched rim and watching as it slowly disappeared into the hybrid. A strangled noise - that could only be classified as a mixture of a moan and meow - escaped Minho as Jisung sank into him, stretching and filling him in a way that only Jisung could.
“Oh god, Jisung.” He gasped out. “Sungie.” He whined, releasing his thigh and reaching out towards the other. Staring at the hand for a moment, Jisung reached out and took it, lacing their fingers together and gripping it tightly. The touch was the only thing grounding Minho as Jisung bottomed out inside him, yet at the same time he was still soaring. He felt the fuzzies slowly taking over him, face and mind slowly beginning to tingle as that itch was scratch - the urge to be bred finally being met, even if he wasn’t in heat.
Soft, albeit a little dry, lips pressed against his as Jisung pulled out and pushed back in. Minho’s lips parted in a gasp - an intense, unadulterated bolt of pleasure rocked Minho’s body, making him tremble under the other’s touch. Jisung eagerly swallowed the gasp, taking the opportunity to slip his tongue into the other’s mouth. Jisung swiped his tongue against sharp canines, grunting as Minho bit down on it lightly. Jisung’s hips rocked slowly, taking his time to reach deep into the other - much to Minho’s displeasure. Squeezing Jisung’s hand tighter, he nipped at the human’s tongue once more, legs wrapping tightly around Jisung’s hips to pull him in closer. And still it seemed like Jisung just wasn’t getting the hint.
Pulling back from the kiss, Minho glared up at Jisung with heated eyes, his free hand gripping Jisung shoulder - sharp nails digging into tender flesh. “Harder. Fuck me like you mean it.” Jisung paused, eyes wide and hesitant before he gave a shaky nod. Sitting himself up, he shifted his position and pulled out until only the head of his dick was still sheathed inside Minho’s tight hole. Taking a deep breath, he snapped his hips forward - cock grazing along his prostate, grinning as Minho arched and cried out, eyes closed in bliss. “Yes! Just like that.” Minho’s body felt like it was vibrating and he couldn’t tell up from down. His mind could only focus on Jisung - Jisung, Jisung, Jisung! Another hard thrust and the pace was set - Minho mewling and begging for more, even if Jisung was fucking him as best he could.
“Please.” Another plea and Minho was ripping his hand out of Jisung’s grip. Nails dug into broad shoulders as the hybrid pulled Jisung down against him, legs tightening around his pistoning hips and keeping him close. It was more difficult for Jisung to move, the younger male hunching himself more to keep the power of thrusts. Minho clawed at Jisung’s back, mouth agape as he panted heavily into the other’s ear. He was floating above the abyss of ecstasy, hanging by a thread. Jisung wrapped his fingers around Minho’s weeping length, only stroking it one, two, three times before the thread snapped and Minho was cumming with a choked gasp that morphed into a deep growl. Jisung continued to pound into Minho, helping his lover ride out his orgasm as he reached his own peak shortly after - painting his kitten’s walls white.
They laid there, unmoving, for what felt like years, coming down from their highs. Eventually, Jisung rolled them over onto their sides, refusing to leave the warmth of Minho’s body. The hybrid curled up against jisung, tucking his head under his chin as he purred, chest rumbling. Jisung ran his fingers through Minho’s hair, scratching behind his ears lightly. “Feel better?”  He asked. Lifting his head, Minho nodded, smiling sweetly at his boyfriend.
“Much. Thank you.” Leaning in, he pecked his lips before settling back down. “Not really sure what happened, but I feel back to normal.” He frowned, then shrugged.
“Well I’m glad to hear that.” Jisung chuckled, pressing a kiss to his temple. “Are you hungry? I can make us something.”
“And have you burn down the kitchen again?” Minho raised a brow as he looked up at him. “I don’t think so.” Jisung had the decency to blush at that. “Ten more minutes and then I’ll go make us something to eat.”
“You drive a hard bargain, but deal.” Jisung tightened his arms around the other, hugging Minho closer for optimum cuddling performance. “I love you.”
“I love me too.”
Interview
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"So, I've heard you got married?"
"Can you tell us who the lucky lag is?" The interviewer, Hwang Hyun-Jin asked you with a smile and a slight tilt of his head. You nodded and smiled slightly trying to maintain the smile and roll of eyes forming.
The whole interview was all about how your marriage goes and how is your husband.
"What do you love the most about your husband?" he asked while placing his right leg over the left one.
"Everything about him it's amazing. But maybe the thing that I love the most about him it's his caring personality. The way he takes care of me and helps me with stress and many more." you smile with stars in your eyes while thinking about him.
"He seems like a gentleman. how did the two of you meet?"Hyun-Jin chuckles.
"We were both at an event and he was the first one to approach me and talk to me"
"Is he someone we know?"
"No, no. He said he doesn't want to come out publicly because he's afraid he might ruin my reputation which is the last thing he wants to do." you giggle at the memory.
The interview continued for about an hour or so and finally, it also came to an end. Opening the door to your apartment, you feel a pair of arms snake around your waist and a head placed on your shoulder. "So you only love me because I take care of you and your stress?" you can feel the smirk forming on his face by the teasing tone in his voice. "I don't know what you're talking about" you laugh nervously. "You really think I'm stupid, my love?" he finally steps in front of you so you're face to face with him. "After all, I was the interviewer" Hyun-Jin smiles.
“Are you okay?” Jisung asks, checking on your trembling hands as your tears fall over them. “He hates me.” You say, unable to look at him, and Jisung scoffs. “No, he doesn't.” He says, checking your arms too.
“Y/n.” He calls, squating a bit so you look into his eyes. “He was just worried, and jealous.” He tells you in a soothing voice and you sniff as more tears fall down, making him chuckle at how cute you look. “Ah...” He says, picking you up to make you sit on the porch's railing. “I know his feelings. He'll be fine after a walk.” He says, but you're not so sure about that.
“You know... This is the second fight I got into tonight.” He tells you, trying to distract you from what just happened, and you sniff again and wipe some of your tears. “You got into a fight?” You ask as you sob a little, and he bites back a smile. “Mhm.” He says. Sweetely combing your hair back with his fingers to see your face better. “You fought Channie?” You guess and he nods. “Did you win?” You keep asking, making him scoff. “Of course I won. He's a city wolf.” He says with a smug smile on his face, making you chuckle softly.
“We're okay now though.” He tells you. Wipping the few tears left on your cheeks with his thumb. “Yeah, you looked all cute when I opened that door and you were laughing together.” You say, then you feel the tears coming again. “It had been such a long time since I saw you that happy around other people.” You say, making him chuckle again. “Ah, what's going on?” He asks as more tears fall down your cheeks suddenly.
“Y/n, I'm very happy.” He says, doing his best to carefully wipe all of them. “I just don't like people in general, not even hybrids. I don't like strangers.” He says. “But I love you.” He pecks your lips. “And... Hyunjinnie is not that bad.” He says and you dramatically gasp, making him laugh. “Yeah, yeah. I said that.” He says, and you finally chuckle again before the thought of Hyunjin growling at you earlier comes back to your head. “Ah, I shouldn't have brought him up.” He says after seeing your sad face appear again, and you smile softly. “I'm sorry. I was just thinking...” You sigh. “I'm just hoping I can talk to him tomorrow.” You say, and he nods, caressing your face with the back of his hand.
“Sung-ah.” You call him. “Mhm?” He answers. “Thank you for loving me.” You say. “I really love you too.” You tell him, making his heart skip a beat as he blushes lightly. “Mhm.” He says, too shy now to look in your eyes, and you chuckle softly, taking a better look at him. “You look so cute right now.” You say, taking a dry leaf and some spider web off his hair.
“It grew a lot.” You tell him as you comb his fringe out of his face with your fingers. “Should I give you a haircut tomorrow?” You ask, but his head is somewhere else. He holds your hand, taking it out of the way to kiss you, and you pull him closer, deepening the kiss.
His hands on your thighs now. “Let's go to bed.” He tells you, noticing how cold your legs are, and you pout at him. “Wait, I want to stay for a bit.” You say, a bit wary of going back to your room to avoid thinking of Hyunjin. “You're freezing.” He says, stepping back a bit so you can get down the railing, but you pull him closer again. “You're warm enough for both of us.” You tell him, hiding your arms on his chest. “You're literally just wearing a shirt, Y/n.” He nags at you, then he just picks you up, and you reluctantly allow him to take you inside. After all, Jisung has always been really good at making you forget hurtful stuff.
“At least let's watch a movie while you warm up if you don't want to sleep.” He says, leaving you on the sofa and handing you a blanket. Your heart flutters a bit seeing him like that. He would always behave just like a cute puppy not that long ago. Following you everywhere and only wanting your attention. No matter what else was going on in your life, how tired you were. He just wanted to play. But he's changed a lot. Now he really sees you.
“Stop pouting.” He chuckles. “You were freezing cold.” He says. “Well, stop nagging and come cuddle me.” You simply say, lying down a bit, and he happily takes his place between your legs. “So you're not mad at me?” He asks with puppy eyes. His fluffy tail waggling. You shake your head and he nuzzles your cheek, making you chuckle at how cute he is. Maybe he hasn't changed that much after all. “Were you worried about me getting angry cause you took me inside?” You ask him petting his head, and he nods. “Mhm. I thought I'd be sleeping down here all alone today.” He says, and you chuckle. “Nah, not tonight. I missed you too much while I was away.” You tell him, and he shyly hides on the crook of your neck. “I missed you too.” He says, his voice all muffled cause he's still hidding. He kinda smells after the night hunting and the fight with Chan, but that only makes his natural scent stronger, and you're feeling all kinds of ways about it. Cause your heart is fluttering at how deeply you love him, but you're also getting incredibly horny. Even more so having his body weighting on yours just in the right places.
You gulp down some saliva as your throat dries thinking about him. He stops moving completely for a second, and his ears twitch. Can he hear your heart racing? It skips a beat as you feel him getting hard against your heat, and another as he moves again, sitting up just enough to see your blushing face.
He scoffs before a cocky smile draws on his face, and he bites his lower lip as he leans over to meet your lips in a slow, sensual kiss, that makes your whole body ache for him.
You pull from his joggers, hinting that you want them out of the way, and he distractedly pulls them down, just enough for him to slide inside of you. You moan softly as he stretches your walls. His breath heavier as he tries so hard to keep in line. “Baby...” You call him in a needy tone, and he chuckles softly, resting his head on the crook of your neck again. “I'm going crazy.” He says, and you bite back a smile and peck his cheek. “It's okay baby, you know I don't mind you being rough.” You try and soothe him, and he scoffs. “Seriously... You have no idea how many times I've fantasized about this just today... You smell so fucking good, y/n...” He says and a sweet chill runs through your body. “Then why are you not fucking me?” You ask before meeting his lips again. You know how dangerous having sex with him can get when heat hormones are involved, but tonight you really just don't care. You've missed him too much. “I've been waiting too...” You tell him, moving your hips a bit. His hands grasping on that sofa, leaving dents on it. “God, y/n...” He says, trying to hold onto his last bit of sanity. “I really don't want to hurt you tonight.” He confesses, and your heart hurts for him. “You won't.” You cup his face on your hands so he'll look at you. He takes a deep breath and you nod and meet his lips again. “I'm sorry. I was being selfish.” You apologize and he pouts. “Should we just kiss for now, then?” You ask, and he nods, leaning over to meet your lips. He rests some of his body weight on you while you make out, and you don't know exactly why but feeling how heavy he actually is makes your heart beat faster. “Are you okay?” He asks, a bit confused about your heartbeat, but you don't even know how to explain what's going on, so you just kiss him again, and you do so until his body is ready to listen to his brain.
His hands on your thighs now, sweetely caressing your skin. His cute lips all red and puffy after all those kisses. His breath a bit more steady. You take his hand and guide it to your tits, making him squeeze, and his dick twitches inside you. “Baby...” You call him between kisses, and he nods and thrusts into you a couple times, very slowly, allowing you to feel every inch of him. You bite on your lips, so aroused after all that touching and kissing that you could come just like this. “Please...” You beg, and he groans before picking up the pace a little.
“God, you're so fucking big...” You say, and he scoffs and pecks your forehead, nose and lips. “You keep saying stuff while sounding like that and it'll get even bigger.” He tells you before pecking your lips once again, making you blush lightly just at the thought of it.
Your hands grasping on his hair as he bites on your neck and tits. It kinda hurts, but it feels amazing too. “Faster...” You whine softly, and he meets your lips, picking up the pace once again. “Sung-ah...” You moan, making his dick even harder. He grunts. His hips moving on their own for a second, thrusting into you so harshly. “Sorry... I-I'm sorry.” He apologizes, but he can't control it anymore. You smell too god, you sound heavengly, and you feel too fucking amazing wrapped around his cock. He just can't take it. “No... It's good...” You manage to say. “It's really good.” You tell him, meeting his lips. Moaning in the kiss as some pleasure tears fall down your face while reaching your high. And seeing you melting under him like that is just too much for him. “Y/n...” He calls you. “Mhm, cum inside me, baby.” You tell him, sweetely cupping his face with your hand. “Ah... fuck...” He groans grasping on the sofa's fabric as he cums.
You meet his lips before he collapses over you, resting his head on your shoulder as his shaky breath fans on your neck and you try to catch on your breath. “Are you okay?” He asks you, and you turn your head a bit to see his face. “Mhm~.” You say, and he smiles. Making you chuckle at how cute he looks. “Are you happy?” You ask him. His hair sticking on his face cause of the sweat. “Mhm, I'm very happy.” He says as you comb his hair back a bit, and you just feel the urge to kiss him again. His ears twitching before he suddenly sits up. “W-What?” You ask, following his eyes to the top of the stairs. “I think your friend woke up.” He says, and your heart stops for what it feels like a minute. “Oh god...” You say, sitting up too.
“What..? Oh... Did you forget your friend was here?” He asks as you frantically look around until you spot the blanket he threw at you earlier. “Let's just go to bed.” You tell him as you blush, pulling from the blanket that's under his butt to cover yourself, and he confusedly follows you upstairs. You can feel his seed dripping down your thighs as you walk up those stairs. God, you can't believe you completely forgot about her. Did she really just heard all of that? Like, it doesn't matter, right? She already knows you're dating Jisung, but... It's kinda embarassing too having her hearing you moaning like that...
He gets in the room after you, closing the door behind him. “It's okay, master. I think she fell asleep again.” He tells you, but suddenly you don't care about that anymore. Your eyes are fixed now on your messy bed with your messy clothes on it, and now you're totally aware of why you didn't want to come back to your room.
You sigh, picking up your shirt from where Hyunjin left it as Jisung silently watches you. You still don't understand why he was so mad at you. Was he jealous again? Maybe you should have stayed with him and just wait for Jisung to come upstairs, but your body was moving by its own will when you rushed to check on him. You're sure it would have done the same for Hyunjin if he was the one missing and howling in the woods. But he probably wouldn't believe you even if you told him that. And you don't blame him either. “Y/n...” Jisung calls you, carefully taking the shirt from your hands to toss it away. “It's been a long night.” He says, sweetely caressing your cheek with the back of his hand. “Stop torturing yourself.” He says before pecking your nose, and you bite your lower lip trying not to cry. “I... I'm scared about him not coming back.” You say, and Jisung chuckles softly. “Love...” He chuckles again. “He'll be back by tomorrow.” He says, pulling you into a hug. He feels so helpless right now though. “What can I do to make you feel better?” He asks, pouting a bit, and you squeeze him tighter as you think about it. “Maybe help me wash up and cuddle me to sleep?” You ask, looking at him, and he softly smiles and nods before meeting your lips.
