“Jung Hoseok.” the man says, arm spread out to offer his hand to you. You take it with a smile, shaking it. His grip is firm, but polite.
“Y/L Y/N.” you introduce yourself before sitting down behind your desk. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Jung-ssi.”
“Hoseok is fine.” the man smiles, flashing you a pair of perfect teeth.
Your body flushes and you nod. “Yes, Hoseok.” you murmur, slightly embarrassed by your sudden change of attitude. “I-I got your paperwork. It appears to me that you are a Predator Shifter…?”
You were what was called a “heat partner”. In a world where Shifters walk freely alongside humans, predator Shifters and prey Shifters such as yourself, it was important for Shifters to have something for themselves. Such as a heat partner when they aren’t “mated” to anyone.
Heat partners are exactly what they are described, perfectly designed to assist a person through their heat - male or female. You had made the business proposal back in college and the business has since grown national - even as the CEO, you participated (only when top dollars were made to be earned).
Such as now, with Jung Hoseok.
The man is charming, you’d admit. Tall with broad shoulders and a sculptured face. Smooth skin with soft eyes and a pair of heart-shaped lips. In order to afford your services, the man was obviously wealthy - having stated in his application that whatever price you listed was what he was willing to pay.
The kicker was - he was a predator Shifter. Your agency does strictly prey. That didn’t mean that you didn’t open another separate business for Predators - you had! You, however, were not running said business.
“Yes, I am.” Hoseok nods his head after your question. “I take suppressants to…mask my scent.”
No wonder, you think; There wasn’t any scent on him and that meant that he was dousing himself with suppressants on the daily. The thought frightened you a bit - just what type of Predator was he?
“As you know, Jung - Hoseok,” you begin. “We typically serve Prey Shifters here. Is there a certain-”
“Excuse me.” Hoseok suddenly interrupts. “I’m well aware of what agency I applied with. You are the person I’m looking for, after all.” Hoseok is direct when he speaks, never faltering and not a stutter in sight.
A predator indeed.
“Y-Yes.” you nod your head. “I’m aware, but-”
“Money is no issue.” Hoseok speaks. He was pleading, his eyes staring right into your own. He swallows. “I…I prefer not to have predator Shifters for my heats.”
You didn’t realize your hands were gripping his paper work in your hand until it began to crinkle beneath your fingers.
“As you know we do not ask our customers certain questions due to confidentiality. However, you being a Predator Shifter, I must.”
Hoseok nods. “You’re asking what Shifter I am?”
You nod hesitantly. “I’m a deer.” you tell him, watching and waiting for his reaction.
Hoseok nods. “I can smell you.” he murmurs, voice low that it causes goosebumps to litter your skin - thank god you wore a long-sleeve shirt. Your head was ringing with alarm bells to get as far away from this man as possible.
“I-I can't smell you.” you try to smile but it appears more as a grimace. “If I may ask…”
Hoseok is hesitant, but he answers nonetheless. “A wolf.”
Hoseok can hear your heart increase by the second, pounding so loudly out your chest that he has to suppress a growl - something he does on instant rather than anything personal.
“You’re frightened.”
Terrified. “N-No-” he stuttered, shaking your head. You were lying to comfort him, but your sudden demeanor change told him everything he needed to know.
“Please.” Hoseok sighs out, utterly desperate. “I cannot handle other wolves or predators. They’re…” his nose curls. “...too dominant for me. They fight me.” he speaks, tone low. “You Prey are soft and sweet. Submissive.”
Now he looks like a creep, Hoseok thinks. Your eyes are wide and you want to run as far away as you can, but you’re a deer caught in headlights - literally.
“I-I-” you’re unsure what to tell Hoseok. You’re frightened, yes, but overall, you wanted to help him. He had come to you specifically - the reason you’re unsure - but he wanted help. It’s an unusual request. Not very many Predators come here and pay for Prey, but it isn’t uncommon for them to hookup outside of their heat cycles.
“I have a set price an hour…”
Hoseok licks his lips with anticipation. “Yes.” he nods hastily. “I would like to pay you more if you’d like.”
“That won’t be-”
“I want you to stay with me the entire week.”
Hoseok hears it again, your heartbeat racing.
“I’m not going to eat you, Y.N.” Hoseok says, his eyes flickering with something different, however. “It’s just…I…I need you there with me all the time.” he doesn’t elaborate further and you’re far too afraid that if he does, you’ll back out of the deal.
“I’ll need to see the place before your heat starts.” you slowly nod your head, placing his paperwork down. “Does tomorrow work for you? It’s for my safety.”
“Of course!” Hoseok nods. “Anything you need.”
You bite the inside of your cheek. “Well, for now we can sign paperwork.” you open a draw to your desk and grasp a black pen to sign your name on said documents. “If you’d like to take it home with you and read through it, you can.”
Hoseok nods his head and takes the documents in his hands. “Thank you.” he grins your way. “I’ll have them signed tomorrow.” he begins to stand, as do you. “Thank you for your time, Y/L-ssi.” he gives you his hand once more and you return the smile shyly.
“Y/N is fine, Hoseok.” you tell him, grabbing his hand to shake once more. You yelp when Hoseok lifts your hand to his lips and kisses it. His lips are soft, his dark eyes flickering up to look at you.
Tumblr media
The drive to Hoseok home was a long one - understandably. He, after all, was a wolf shifter and like yourself, preferred to reside in a forestry area. The trees are high into the sky and the scent is natural. The area is quiet as you park your car, eyes roaming the large cabin in front of you. It’s at least four stories built with the finest wood with high ceilings windows. There’s multiple lights shining onto the porch that wraps around the entire cabin.
You can smell them - not Hoseok, but more wolves. The smell is intoxicating, filling your senses and having you stiff in your spot. You swallow, your deer screaming to run away - far, far away from here.
Your eyes widen when the door of the cabin opens suddenly and behind it is a tall man. His eyes are on you in an instant and you’re unable to move or look away.
“You must be…Y/N?” the man says, strolling towards you. His footsteps creek above the wooden stairs as he makes his way towards you. “You’re a doe…” the man sniffs the air, an obvious attempt to smell you.
“You're scaring her.”
Oh no.
Another wolf emerges from behind the door. He’s a little shorter and behind him, yet another one, as tall as the first one. They all surround you, tall and dominant.
“Your heart's beating so fast, little doe. We’re not going to eat you.” the second one laughs heartily. “My name is Jimin. Hobi told us a Prey was coming.”
“I’m Jungkook.” the third one says, circling around you for a better view. “You’re very brave. We don’t get a lot of doe’s around here.”
There’s a growl that has you cowering - as do the other three wolves. You’re now visibly trembling, arms wrapped around you. You knew that the three meant no harm - they appeared younger than you and overall playful. As a deer shifter, you were just naturally terrified of any predator and being on their territory didn’t make it easier for you.
“Go somewhere else.”
That was Hoseok’s voice speaking now and your eyes glance upwards from the ground to see him towering behind the three wolves.
“I am so sorry.” Hoseok’s voice lowers when the three men scurry off, both apologizing and snickering. “They mean no harm. They’re just…playful.” he sighs. If you turned him down now he wouldn’t be upset with you.
“I-It’s okay.” you curse at the stutter in your voice. “D-Do they live here?”
“Somewhat.” Hoseok nods. “This,” he mentions to the large cabin behind him. “is my home. They come and go. They have their own homes on the land we’re on now.”
Hoseok picks up on your unease - it was natural. You were in a wolf's den surrounded by them. As a prey, you were like a shiny new toy to them.
“Please come in.” Hoseok offers you his hand to take. “It’s completely safe. They would not be here when I’m in heat.”
You allow Hoseok to show you inside the large cabin. The scent is heavy of wolves and it causes you to stick besides Hoseok as he was the only familiar person you knew.
“I want to show you something.” Hoseok squeezes your hand encouragingly. “It’s where we’d be staying next week.”
You nod your head.
Hoseok ventures deeper into the cabin. It’s warm and would be inviting if you weren’t a Prey.
“I’ve been using suppressants to mask my scent but here,” Hoseok stops before a wooden door. “is where I can be myself. The scent will be…powerful.”
Powerful indeed. Upon opening the door, you’re hit with a scent so prudent. You’re stunned for a second, eyes widening.
“That’s…your scent?” you whisper out.
Hoseok lightly tugs you inside the room. It’s large and appears to be like a bedroom, a large bed in the middle of the room. Behind it, a large ceiling window showcasing beautiful scenery outside. To the right is a door slightly cracked, you assumed a bathroom. On the far left is a bookcase with a desk.
“This is my den.” Hoseok speaks, releasing your hand but remaining close. “Similar to a nest.”
Hoseok watches the way your eyes scan the room. He senses that his scent is overbearing to you, dominant. For the last few weeks he’s been scenting it to assure that it smelt like him; that he’d be comfortable in the room for his rut.
“I hope it isn’t too much.” Hoseok speaks after five minutes of you calming yourself down.
“No!” you shake your head, turning to him. “I know nesting is important to those in heat or ruts.” you tell him truthfully, having done so yourself.
Hoseok grins at your statement. “Yes.” he nods. “I was wondering…if I could have something of yours. To remain here.” he swallows, adam's apple bobbing as he swallows.
You lick your lips as your body heats.
“If it’s too much-”
“No!” you interrupt. “I-I don’t mind.” you assure. You were here to help Hoseok soon and if this is what he wanted, then so be it. After all, he was a client paying top dollar for your services. “Is my jacket alright?”
Hoseok nods his head with a shrug. “Y-yeah.” his cheeks reddened.
You remove your jacket and hand it to Hoseok, body heated.
“I…” you lick your lips. “...can scent some more things in here. If it would make it better?”
Hoseok’s eyes widen a bit but he nods hastily. “Y-Yeah! You can.” he responds all too quickly. “Would you like something of mine? So you can become accustomed to it?” he offers.
You nod your head as well, encouraging grin on your lips. “Yes, that’ll be nice.”
Tumblr media
For the last week you made sure to leave Hoseok’s scent on yours - and it caused stress amongst the other Prey’s at the office. Your assistant was the first to cower, not walking into your office due to fear - she was a rabbit shifter - and instead, called you from her own office opposite of yours. “The scent is that powerful? You recall asking her, surprised. “It’s only his shirt…”
Your own scent was covered in Hoseok’s and by the time it was for you to go to his home - coincidentally starting on Valentine’s Day - your scent was the acute one. However, it calmed you, as crazy as it sounded, because now you were accustomed to Hoseok’s scent. You’re thankful that you were able to ease your way into it instead of being overwhelmed like you were the week prior.
Like promised, you sensed no other wolves shifter in the area and you were thankful for that. Being around Hoseok was enough for you - you’re not sure if you could handle a whole pack of wolves sniffing around you.
Hoseok had sent you a message a few hours earlier telling you that the door was unlocked when you arrived, along with more messages. You’re appreciative that he offered to supply your food, stating that he has already filled his home with various fruits and vegetables to satiate your diet.
You clench your bag in your hand as you enter Hoseok’s home. It’s eerily silent and you wonder just what the man was doing. You don’t dwell, however, and instead make your way down the long, wooden hall to where his den was at.
You open the door to the den and find Hoseok inside. He’s asleep, sweat lining his forehead and he’s shirtless, the comforter only covering the bottom half of his body. You close the door behind you and exhale, placing your bag on the ground and making your way towards Hoseok.
You tilt your head to the side and snort. “You are kinda cute.” you murmur, placing a hand onto his forehead to wipe the sweat away.
It was the early stages of Hoseok’s head and he was only experiencing light chills and normal arousal - as the days led up, he would be utterly needy.
You dip down into the bed beside Hoseok, slowly to not wake him. You lay on your side and close your eyes. You’ll be here when Hoseok wakes up.
You’re unsure when you fell asleep and for how long, but the large window that once shined with natural light now only displays a full moon.
You moan sleepily when the sensation runs through you. Your hips are being gripped, sharp fingernails digging into your skin.
“You smell so good, little doe.”
Goosebumps gather onto your skin at the voice - deep, raspy and full of needy lust. Hoseok was awake, grinding into you from behind. His lips are pressing wet kisses to the skin behind your ear, a low growl mewling from his lips.
“Y-You’re awake.”
“I smelled you from my sleep.” Hoseok’s lips are now on your neck, inhaling your scent. His mouth is salivating. “‘wanna taste you,  little doe. You’d let me, right?”
“Yes.” you nod weakly, whimpering.
“So good, little doe. So submissive like how I’d known you’d be.” Hoseok flips you onto your back and cages you beneath him. Your eyes meet the obvious bulge in his shorts. His hands tug at your clothing harshly, tearing the fabric apart without a care in the world.
You don’t respond, only gasp at the action - and it drives Hoseok’s wolf crazy. This is what he needed during a time like this; someone who wasn’t going to put up a fight against him. Someone who was going to submit to him like his wolf wanted; someone like you.
“Such soft, pretty skin.” Hoseok mewls, his tongue poking out and dragging along your bare skin. His tongue is so warm and slimy, but you’re overly aroused. “Scent so amazing and tempting, little doe.”
A strangled moan releases from your lips when Hoseok’s tongue dips down between your breast and slides past your stomach. He pries your legs open and growls, eyes completely dark with lust. He inhales your arousal and doesn’t hesitate to dive right in. His tongue laps between your folds hungrily, nails digging into your soft thighs.
Your back arches, legs widening. This was your first time with a Predator, with someone so dominant. Prey’s weren’t quite vanilla as one thought, sure, but a wolf was different.
“H-Hoseok, please.” your hand tugs at his hair, unable to take anymore pleasure. Your eyes flutter open to look between your legs - a mistake. Hoseok was already looking at you, dark eyes zoning into your own. It causes you to freeze, unable to look away from him. Your arousal leaks over his tongue and his lips and like a man starved, he licks it all up.
“Little doe,” Hoseok growls, a trail of saliva dropping right onto your clit. “so sweet and all for me.”
You don’t get to talk, Hoseok is faster than you. Two, long fingers enter you swiftly - deeply. He pumps with vigor, determined to coat himself completely in your sweet arousal. Your pussy is tight around his fingers, squeezing and squelching for more.
“Does it feel good, little doe?” Hoseok questions rhetorically. You’re a moaning mess who’s coating his fingers with sweet honey, of course it felt good.
But, Hoseok was a wolf. He was dominant and confident - he wanted to hear you say it.
“Y-Ye-”
Hoseom bites your inner thigh, teeth sinking into your skin.
“Y-Yes!” you screech, jerking. Your hands find your naked breast, eyes continuing to flutter with pure pleasure.
Hoseok’s fingers were scraping against your walls, hitting your sweet spot with each pump. His teeth grazes past your skin, lips pressing a firm kiss to your clit. His stamina is immaculate but what did you truly expect from a wolf?
Hoseok likes to watch your face as he pleasures you - his tongue flickering against the swollen bud as his fingers ram so deep inside of you that you’re screeching out in ecstasy. He loves to watch the way your eyebrows would scrunch together and the way you would gasp so loudly. His lips and chin are coated in your essence but he does nothing but savor the sweet, submissive taste that he has desperately longed for all week.
Hoseok’s calloused hand slams against your thigh harshly just as he feels it begin to close in on him. His eyes are furious at the audacity that you’d attempt to stop him from devouring you. He forces you against his tongue, two fingers never ceasing their movement. The noises he made we just as lewd as yours; slurping as if it’s a five course meal; and to him, it is.
“So ready to be full of me.” Hoseok groans against your clit, his eyes zoning in on the way your pussy squeezes his fingers, juices sliding down the palms of his hand and hitting his wrist. “Need to prep you first, little doe, before I take what’s mine.”
You weren’t sure you could handle Hoseok fucking you - you were overstimulated now. Tears brim your eyes with the amount of pleasure, and now with the way he spoke to you with such a sultry voice - you weren’t going to leave here alone, surely.
Talking was a bit difficult, but it was evident Hoseok wanted you to speak to him - to show him just how submissive you were. You nod your head and murmur a soft “please” and it’s all Hoseok needs to truly make you cum. Your thighs shake in his grasp and your moans grow higher and higher. They bounce off of the walls of his den and your body begins to shake rapidly beneath him.
Hoseok encourages you to grind against his tongue, to take him just as much as he was taking you, but as of right now you couldn’t - and that was alright with him. You were going through your own high, your senses clouded in Hoseok; his scent looming over you dominantly and all you could do was lay against the soft bed as you cum the hardest you’ve ever had.
Hoseok wish he could have a picture of you like this - maybe even a painting in his den. Just for his eyes only to witness the beauty that was you, naked and covered in your own arousal and sweat and fully submitted to him. It’s a sight he would forever keep in his thoughts.
You’re panting, slightly trembling with overstimulation.
You bring out something in Hoseok - similar to a hunger that could never be satiated. If he could have you on his tongue for hours, he would. The bulge in his underwear is tight and screaming at him to let it be free.
“Little doe,” you hear Hoseok call you, calloused fingers grasping your jaw to look at him. “even as you lay here trembling, your pussy longs to be filled, doesn’t it? I see you clenching around nothing, wishing it was me.”
You moan faintly, nodding your head. Even if you came as hard as you did, you in fact did want Hoseok to fuck you. The idea frightened your deer - you never had wolf and you’re sure he’s never had deer either. But the thought excites you just as you know it excites him.
You, weakly, sit up, eyes blinking innocently at Hoseok. He watches you, unmoving, as your hands settle at his own hips. “Wanna taste you now.” you murmur at him, lashes blinking upwards at him.
Hoseok growls, a deep rumble coming from his chest that startles you. You watch him with wide eyes and wait for him to speak.
“I want to see your sweet lips around me, little doe.” Hoseok allows your hands to dip beneath his shorts. For a moment you’re stuck when you in fact tough his clothed cock. It twitches when it comes in contact with you, an obvious need to be touched.
You gulp when you actually do see it in front of you. It’s large and veiny, the tip leaking with pre-cum and even if it does appear threatening at it’s large size (larger due to the rut and the need to breed), you’re mouth salivates to suck it.
Hoseok stiffens with your tongue licks up his slit, coating your warm tongue with the precum. Your hand wraps around the base and you waste no time in circling your tongue around the tip.
Such warmth and pleasure drives Hoseok crazy and he doesn’t hide his moans or grunts. He’s unmoving, unblinking as he watches you take him into your mouth, deeper and deeper.
You’re positive that you’d come to regret doing this - but you were full of arousal and lust for the man and needed everything he had to offer. You begin to suck onto his cock as if your life depended on it. The tip hits the back of your throat and your eyes water, but it would be a lie to say that you weren’t aroused.
“Such a slutty doe you are.” Hoseok hisses, the filthy sight of you makes him want more. “So frightened by me but still want to be stuff full.”
Hoseok yanks your hair roughly and instantly, you submit - just how he wanted. He begins to thrust inside of you, taking your mouth as his own. He hits the back of your throat with each thrust, a strangle moan meeting him when he gets there. Your thighs clenched together for friction and your pussy does the same, wishing it was this very cock ramming inside of you.
Hoseok's throat growls once more - so beautiful, he thinks. Tears streaming down your eyes and coating your puffy cheeks as he buries his cock deep in your throat. “When I look at you, I can see a sweet little doe in those eyes…” Hoseok was going to cum, never truly meaning to last long. But during his rut, he could cum so many times and still be hard within seconds, so did it truly matter? “...but then I look deeper into these eyes, and I see that devilious side to you.”
You moan, vibrating against his shaft. Hoseok thrusts deeper and deeper until you feel the salty substance reach your tongue. It’s warm and overpowering, but you’re forced to take it all - and never once do you complain or protest.
Hoseok yanks you off of his cock with a pop, saliva and cum dripping down the sides of your lips. Hoseok forces his own lips - so soft, you think - against yours in a needy, dominant kiss.
“Your pussy is calling for me, little doe. Begging to be stuffed with my knot.”
“P-Please…” you murmur weakly, full of need.
Hoseok snarls and within seconds, he flips you onto your front. He forces your legs apart and once more, snarls at just the visual in front of him; a wolf’s dream.
You yelp when you feel a harsh slap onto your ass, stinging. One hand slams against your back to remain firmly against the bed while the other digs its nails onto your waist.
“Gonna fuck you full of my pups, little doe. Breed you just nice.” Hoseok grumbles, speaking more to himself, but you hear every word and damn did it sound nice.
Hoseok centers himself at your entrance, a grunt releasing from his throat. He rubs the tip between your sweet folds and then sighs shakily at how heavenly you feel.
“My sweet little doe…such a slutty body you have.” Hoseok begins to enter you, your walls completely heavenly; so tight, wet and serene.
Hoseok gasps fully when he’s inside of you completely. You do the same, a small sense of discomfort at the size of Hoseok, but you felt amazingly stuff as you had been wanting to.
Hoseok isn’t able to control himself and you’re glad that you prepared for such. He begins to pound into you with such need; deep and fast. His abdomen slams against your ass as he tries to go deeper with each thrust.
You cry out in pleasure and discomfort - it was going to take getting used to getting fucked by someone as dominant as him. But even your moans were that of pure desire, legs widening a bit more just to have in you deeper.
Your pussy is pulsating, Hoseok notes, and it drips all over his bed. He doesn’t stop his assault, unable to. Your moans give him the fuel to continue on, such sweet and submissive moans and wolf needs to hear when claiming what was theirs.
By the time Hoseok was done with you, you were going to be bruised with finger and hand marks. Hoseok grips onto your skin so tightly, but there’s no complaints your way. “Such a sweet pussy taking a wolf so well. A prey could never satisfy you like this, little doe.”
Hoseok wants to hear you say it. A hand claws at your throat and he pushes you back against his bare chest. Your breast bounces in the rhythm of his powerful thrusts. “Say it, little doe. After I’m done here with you, your pussy would only ever want a predator.”
Your hands find his thigh, muscle flexing when you do. It’s a small sign of resistance and that’s something Hoseok didn’t like.
“Stop trying to run, doe. I already got my hands on you, you aren’t going anywhere.”
You came at the words, so hard that you began to shake. Your arousal leaks down your thighs, but Hoseok was nowhere near done with you. He now has the desire to see your face as he fucks you and turns you around fully before him like a ragdoll. Both hands snake beneath your thighs as he enters you, thrusting just as powerful as before.
Your face contorts with pleasure, eyes widening just to snap shut and moans pooling out your sweet lips.
“Pretty little thing,” Hoseok presses open mouth kisses against your face. His bed rocks and shakes vigorously, hitting against the tall window. “all mine to breed. You’d want that, wouldn’t you? To be bred by a wolf.” Hoseok spits, teeth clasping down at delicate skin.
“Y-Yes!” you cry, arms wrapping around his shoulders to bring him close. Your lips find his, both tongues devouring the other. You’ve dealt with many ruts and heats, but this one was far more intimate. Hoseok was a talkative person and it was difficult to not submit to the man.
Hoseok snarls. “Gonna give you all my pups, little doe. Get you nice and round just for me and me only.”
There was something about being predators and their need to breed that now has you wishing he’d do just that. It was the sex speaking to you - and his rut speaking to him - but all you could think about was being so full of his cum that breeding a few of his pups didn’t scare you.
Jung Hoseok was a dangerous man.
“Want your knot.” you screech, your fingernails clawing at his back for him to give you what you wanted. “Want your pups.”
Hoseok was going crazy - his wolf was screaming at him to take you fully, bite that spot on your neck and take you as his; then you’d truly would be having his pups like your fucked out self wanted. But his sane part manages to hold himself back from his wolf claiming you.
“Gonna cum in you.” Hoseok grumbles, pushing you back against the bed and fucking right into you. His cock is so enlarged due to his rut and the knot in his system. A small bulge is seen in your stomach with each thrust and Hoseok had one goal in mind.
You’re unable to speak as Hoseok presses your knees to your shoulders and pounds sloppily in you. His eyes are watching you, unmoving and not blinking. There’s a growl that reaches your ears when Hoseok comes closer. He’s dangerously close to your neck, teeth blaring. Your heart skips a beat, frightened with the sounds his  wolf is making and your deer wants to run for its life from the predator.
“Gonna make you mine, little doe.” Hoseok’s voice is deeper than before, his breath tickling your skin. “Only mine to fuck pups into.”
You’re far too consumed in cumming for a third time that you don’t notice the meaning of his words until his teeth are biting the soft, delicate skin of your neck. You scream out in pain, pussy clenching around his cock just as he’s cumming. His cock swells inside of you, his knot pooling deep inside to do what it’s intending on doing.
You remain completely still and silent, your high and submissive nature not allowing you to protest, even if the pressure was becoming unbearable. Hoseok holds you close, his throat growling lowly, tongue twirling on the mark he has left freshly on your skin. When his high dies down, he’s positive he’s going to be in a world of trouble for marking you as his own - and the pain his wolf is going to feel if you reject him.

(Un)natural Instincts (Part 11)
*Series taglist is closed.
Tumblr media
angst, fluff, smut
Pairings: OT7 x Fem Reader, Human CEO Reader, Human Assistant Yoongi, Wolf Hybrids Joon, Jin, Hobi, Jimin, Tae, and Kook.
Basic premise: You and your assistant end up rescuing six wolf hybrids. No part of the process is easy.
Part 1 > Part 2 > Part 3 > Part 4 > Part 5 > Part 6 > Part 7 > Part 8 > Part 9 > Part 10 > Part 11 > Part 12
General Warnings: Hybrid abuse and lab experimentation, hybrids as second-class citizens/owned property (Minors DNI, 18+ content)
Specific Warnings: trauma from past SA (vaguely hinted at this time, not explicit), jealousy, ambiguity around fidelity in hybrid pack dynamics, internalized prejudice (against wolf hybrids), mentions of drugs
____
Namjoon stills, his breath caught in his throat at the sight of Yoongi’s lips on yours. Discomfort has him wriggling in his skin, but he battles the feeling long enough to discreetly retreat—finding the nearest guest room before the two of you can pick up on his presence. The wolf shuts his eyes, trying to gather his thoughts.
This is ridiculous. I shouldn’t be jealous. She doesn’t owe me anything.
But all the rationale in the world can’t shake off the of jealousy. It’s not a strong, world-shattering type of feeling—but it’s there and it irks him nonetheless. He can’t help but feel like an absolute idiot for mistaking your offering of friendship as anything more. Was he the only one feeling a pull?
Of course she doesn’t feel anything for me. She wouldn’t think of a hybrid in that way.
As much as you talk of equality, Namjoon isn’t dumb. It’s one thing to support hybrid equality, but it’s an entirely different matter to see him equal enough to be a romantic option.
How could she ever think that way about someone she has to put a fucking leash on to be seen outside with? It’s impossible.
He doesn’t know why he let himself feel this way in the first place. He’s only known you for a couple of days—not to mention he already has a loving pack. Guilt stiffens his features, not wanting to think of what his pack would say at his pathetic little crush. Would they feel betrayed?
Relationships aren’t exactly as black-and-white as “open” or “closed” in hybrid packs. On one hand, a pack is always “open” to accept new packmates to form strong bonds with; however, their pack hasn’t had a new member in years…so were they “closed” now?
He doesn’t know why he’s thinking so deeply about it—you’re not even a hybrid. There’s no wolf in you for them to form a pack-bond with.
You should be with a human, someone who can actually build a future with you. Someone like Yoongi.
You should be happy with a human like Yoongi, and he should be happy with his amazing pack. It should be this simple. So why isn’t it?
___
“Yoongi…”
His heart beats hard against his ribcage, drumming loud in his ears. He waits patiently as you gather your thoughts, but every millisecond feels like a year. Some part of him hopes you’ll pull him back in for a second kiss, but it’s clear that’s not where your head is. He doesn’t realize he’s holding his breath until you start talking again.
“Was that…was that because I was teasing you?” Your voice is soft, almost a whisper, but the closeness between your bodies guarantees he hears every word.
Shaking his head, his mouth answers before his mind has any time to think.
“I’ve wanted to do that for a while.”
He doesn’t realize what he’s done until the words spill out.
There’s no going back now.
There’s a moment of regret. You literally gave him an out on a silver platter—just brushing the whole thing off as an answer to your teasing, fueled by wine. But he doesn’t think his response through, and now the entire friendship he’s built with you could easily go down the drain. His heart—which he’s kept guarded for so long—is fully on his sleeve, vulnerable to whatever you decide to do to it.
The confession lingers heavy in the air, sobering any slight buzz out of both of you.
“I’ve liked you for a while. I don’t know when it started…maybe a few months after I was hired? I don’t remember. I just—I like you. A lot. And I know it might be really stupid to say this and ruin what we have,” his voice barely holds it together to get the rest of the sentence out, “but if you tell me you don’t have any feelings for me then I’ll never act on it again, I promise. That’s all I need to know.”
The strain in his voice prompts you to find your own quickly.
“I…I have feelings for you too.”
Yoongi’s shoulders finally fall down, a mix of relief and elation washing over the second your words soak in.
“Thank fucking God” is all he can manage to get out before pulling you into a tight, cathartic hug.
___
Bacon sizzles on the stovetop, edges turning crisp as Jimin watches over. The fresh aroma of Yoongi’s favorite dark roast fills the kitchen, luring the man in as he’s getting ready to go to work. Jimin signals for him to sit, singing an unfamiliar song as he’s plating the bacon next to a stack of pancakes. The surprise on Yoongi’s face is evident, as Jimin hasn’t cooked him breakfast since the morning of the incident. He'll never say it out loud, but the site does endear him.
“You look happier than usual.” The wolf remarks, noticing the smile Yoongi can’t seem to suppress. It’s hard not to smile when all that’s going through his head are your words from yesterday.
“So do you.”
Jimin puffs out his chest in pride, “Because I just finished baking these” he gestures proudly to a tray of freshly baked muffins. They look mouthwatering, and Yoongi’s hand is reaching out before he even realizes it. But the wandering hand is quickly swatted away.
“Hands off. These are exclusively for Taehyung.”
“Not even one?”
Jimin almost gives in at seeing the pout creep on the man’s lips, but regardless, he stays firm, “Nope. This is step one in fixing our relationship. I need every muffin here if I’m going to make it up to him.”
Curiosity takes over Yoongi’s features, wondering what exactly a guy as sweet as Jimin could do to land himself in such hot water.
“You must’ve messed up really bad.”
Jimin shakes his head, sliding over a fixed plate and coffee. “Funnily enough, I still don’t think I did. It’s the drugs that messed up both of our minds.”
“Why are you making it up to him if you don’t think it was your fault?”
“Because love isn’t always about who’s right and who’s wrong. Sometimes you just have to do what you can to make things work.”
The man raises a brow, taken aback at the wise words coming from such a naïve face, which Jimin notices and starts laughing at immediately.
“I sounded so smart, didn’t I?” His eyes shut into happy crescents, “Namjoon hyung says that to us a lot. It sounds a lot cooler coming from him.”
Yoongi shakes his head in amusement, small chuckle leaving from his lips as he digs into the neatly decorated plate in front of him. Not even the mention of Namjoon could throw off his good mood this morning.
___
As much as you want to celebrate your recent developments with Yoongi, the current mood in the car has you (and everyone else) stiff with unease. The cause of said unease is looking out the window, paying no mind as he stares blankly at all the cars passing. It’s not lost on anyone how distant Jungkook is becoming towards you, refusing to acknowledge any of your attempts at conversation.
That isn’t the only cold front you’re experiencing.
The wolf in your passenger seat is also visibly off. Normally, he’d be the one trying to get Jungkook to get along with you, but it’s clear that Namjoon is lost in his own world at that moment. You steal glances throughout the drive, trying to decipher his expression: it doesn’t look like he’s mad…but it also doesn’t look like he’s comfortable? His responses are short and the smile he flashes is contrived at best, but you hold off on asking him why.
Hoseok’s also lost in his own thoughts, fidgeting with the sleeve of his shirt and trying to keep the bad memories away. His anxiety’s been spiking up as the synthetic hormone levels decrease, mind now unable to create a haze to block all the bad. There are moments, like right now, when he wants to scratch off his skin until he breaks flesh—grasping for any way to reclaim his body. His claws almost peek out, tempted to follow through with his intrusive thoughts, but he’s pulled out of it when he feels Jimin’s fingers interlock with his own.
The younger one leans in, car radio loud enough to allow them their own moment, “Is it the memories?”
Hoseok nods, eyes down on the interlocking hands, trying to focus on the welcomed touch instead of thinking about all the unwelcomed ones.
“Try tuning into your hybrid hearing when it gets really bad. Maybe that can help block them.”
Hoseok’s willing to try anything at this point, so he zones out on the back of the driver’s seat and lets his ears do their thing. It’s been far too long since he’s tuned into his heightened senses, and it feels disorienting at first, as if he’s no longer in the same place as his body. But natural instincts kick in and have him adjusting quickly, letting him filter through various conversations and noises until he’s focused on one moment. It’s a child begging his mother for ice cream, a sweet exchange. He follows their journey throughout the ice cream aisle, listening in as the mother finally gives in and the two discuss what flavor. Surprisingly, Hoseok doesn’t realize arriving at the doctor’s until Jimin’s unbuckling his belt for him.
Hoseok smiles, “That actually helped.”
Jimin simply responds with a peck on the cheek.
___
Dr. Gong notices Jungkook’s changed demeanor instantly, as he’s not acknowledging her either. The youngest simply sticks behind his pack, hands holding onto the bottom of Jin’s sweatshirt. She looks back and forth between Jungkook and you, and you don’t know what else to do but sigh.
“Good to see you all again. I hope all is well.”
You bow before ushering three of the hybrids to take the empty seats while you and the others huddle around her desk.
“We’re getting there” you say, half-heartedly smiling.
She nods, “I assume you all are familiar with the process of heat shots. We’ll do the rut suppressant first. Namjoon, please follow the nurse into that room.”
The rest follow one by one, coming out with band aids on their arm. Dr. Gong pulls out a pile of lollipops onto her desk for their return, scattering various flavors on the desk. Taehyung looks at them with curiosity, eyes telling Jimin he’ll take one if he does as well. Jungkook shoves a strawberry one into his jacket, not bothering to thank the doctor the way his hyungs do.
“I was actually with the authorities yesterday, going over the hybrids’ medical results for them. They’re collecting evidence for Kang’s trial. I expect they'll call me to act as a witness soon.”
Just the mention of Kang’s name has every hybrid in the room flinch.
You nod, "I’m waiting for that call as well. Even a life sentence seems too kind for him though.”
“Plans to distribute fevocaine should land him at least thirty years. But realistically, with his status, I won't be surprised if it's fifteen max.”
A low growl comes from Jungkook, startling everyone in the room.
“All the shit he did to us and he’s only tried for the drugs? You must be fucking kidding me.” The only thing that keeps his rage from boiling over is Jin’s firm tone telling him to settle. The raise in voice has Dr. Gong pulling back, fear creeping in at seeing a fired-up wolf.
“He won’t hurt you” Jin assures, snaking a hand around the youngest’s waist to keep him still.
The doctor gives an unconvincing smile, trying to regain composure.
You give an apologetic look, bowing on his behalf. “Sorry Doc.”
“It’s understandable. I also agree with Jungkook. The laws are ridiculous. The only real good news I can give you is that the synthetic hormones seem to lose most of their effectiveness without the fevocaine. There’s no chance of the collars entering the market anytime soon—hopefully ever.”
The information, although positive, has you baffled, “I knew it was a dangerous drug, but such small amounts really made that much of a difference?”
“It’s the base needed for everything else to work. Only fevocaine can subdue a hybrid’s nervous system enough for the other hormones to instill specific behavioral changes. Simply put, without getting the hybrids in a hazy enough headspace, the rest of the hormones just don’t work.”
You suppose it makes sense, as the Kang you know wouldn’t risk involving fevocaine into his plans unless it was absolutely necessary.
“You’re all set for this month. The receptionist out front can set you up for next month’s appointment. I remember you were hesitant about continuing them on the suppressants, though.”
You nod, “We don’t need further appointments. I’m sure they’ve had enough of synthetic drugs messing up their hormones to last a lifetime. Right guys?”
Namjoon’s eyes go wide, “Are you sure? It’s not safe for you to be around us in heat. We don’t mind getting the shots.”
Jungkook rolls his eyes, “I mind.” Jin’s grasp on him becomes tighter, an unspoken command to behave.
“It’s alright Joon, Yoongi said I could crash at his whenever you’re in your heats—or rut for you.”
Namjoon’s jaw ticks slightly at the mention of Yoongi, before he reminds himself that this is how things should be. Humans with humans and hybrids with hybrids. He reluctantly nods at your plan, thinking for the greater good of his pack.
“If that’s alright with you then yes, we would prefer not to be on them. Except for Hoseok.”
Your eyes go wide at the realization, of course Hoseok wouldn’t want to go through his heat. You curse under your breath for not catching that.
Hoseok, on the other hand, looks relieved that it was brought up before he had to bring it up himself. He thanks the heavens he has a good Alpha during situations like this.
___
“You’re back early” you muse, quirking an eyebrow at the figure standing at the door of your home office. Yoongi smiles, making his way to your desk before bending down to kiss your cheek.
“I told Minhyun I had to leave early for an urgent appointment.”
“So you lied to get out of work early? I could fire you for that, you know.” He tilts your head up, kissing the teasing grin off of your face.
“I didn’t lie. I had to come here and kiss you urgently.”
Another kiss.
“Well, this is a side of you I’ve never seen. Can’t say I don’t like it.”
“I have to make up for all the lost time. Besides, this is one step closer to my househusband dream, so I can’t afford to mess it up.”
You roll your eyes, “Am I just a means to an end?”
“Yeah, pretty much.”
You pinch his arm and he fakes a hurt face, causing both of you to laugh.
Yoongi traps you in your chair, one hand on each arm rest as he bends to eye level, taking in every second of the moment.
“It feels surreal. Getting to kiss you like this. It’s not something I ever thought would be possible.”
You snake your hands around his neck, pulling his face even closer. “I’ve liked you for a while too. I was just scared…the idea of losing what we already have by trying to be more is terrifying,”
You’ve been scared about the same things as him. This whole time.
“but nothing’s ever felt more right than that kiss. Made me realize that high risk and high return isn’t just for the next business deal.”
“Only you can figure out a way to make this into a business analogy” he chuckles.
“Well my gut instincts have gotten me this far with investments, so no use trying to fight them for everything else in my life.” You’re the one who leans in for the kiss this time, hands cupping his face as you chase after his lips.
“This is going to be the best investment of your life.”
“Those are big claims, Assistant Min.”
“I’m very confident, Miss Shin.”
___
Namjoon’s fork hits the table, slipping out of his hand and forgotten the moment Yoongi announces your relationship at dinner.
“We want to try and see where things go” you say, bringing your free hand to rest on top of Yoongi’s for everyone to see.
“You don’t have to make a big deal out of it. We don’t care.”
“Jungkook.” Jin admonishes, but the youngest pushes back this time.
“What? It’s true. Whatever they do has nothing to do with us. Unless you want us gone so you can be all lovey dovey. I’m sure he” Jungkook glares in Yoongi’s direction, “wouldn’t want his precious girlfriend sharing a space with us. I mean, we’re wolves after all.”
Yoongi cringes at the mention of his ignorant remark.
“Once again, I’m sorry for saying that. I wish I could take it back.”
You squeeze his hand, “Yoongi’s not like that Jungkook. Nothing about this changes the fact that you all have a permanent home here.”
Yoongi nods.
“I’m happy for you guys” Jimin beams, breaking the tension and making you extremely grateful.
“Me too!” Taehyung follows.
You look over at Namjoon, who sends a tight-lipped smile, “You two look good together.”
 “Thank you Joon,” his stand-offish demeanor still isn’t lost on you.
Hoseok barely reacts, only half present at the dining table. Jimin assures everyone to just let him be, explaining that turning up his hearing is helping him. He doesn’t need to elaborate, as everyone is highly aware of what goes on in Hoseok’s mind most of the time now. You’re just glad something’s helping.
It’s the sound of a record this time, playing maybe two houses down. A nice, soft melody that makes him want to hum along.
Namjoon volunteers to do the dishes this time, until Jin assigns the task to Taehyung and pulls the Alpha to the side, “What’s going on with you?”
“What?”
“You’ve been in your head all day. I could use a little help reigning Jungkook in, you know. It feels like I’ve been keeping him in check all alone since morning.”
Namjoon looks at the eldest with remorse, “I’m sorry hyung. My thoughts have just been all over the place lately. I should be paying more attention.”
“What is it that’s bothering you? Anything I can help with?”
He shakes his head, “No don’t worry about it. I have it under control.”
“You’re sure?”
“Yeah.”
___
The Alpha hangs by Yoongi’s door awkwardly, clearing his throat to make his presence known to both of you. You sit up from your cuddling position upon seeing him.
“Hey Joon, you need to talk to Yoongi about something?”
The wolf nods, “I can come by later if it’s not a good time.”
You shake your head and get out of the covers, much to Yoongi’s reluctance.
“I need to go look over some documents anyways. You guys talk.”
It’s when you’re right in front of him do you ask what’s on your mind, “Hey, are you okay? You don’t seem like yourself lately…unless this is another instance of the hormones wearing off?”
“No, this isn’t that. I’ve just been feeling a little under the weather today. It’s nothing serious.”
Your hand is on his forehead in an instant, “It’s not a fever, thankfully. You sure you’re good? Need any cold meds?”
“No it’s fine, really. I’ll let you know if I need anything.”
The wolf waits a second after you leave, making sure you’re far away from the door before speaking. Yoongi watches carefully, not in the mood for whatever “Alpha claim” he’s about to stake on you.
But Namjoon isn’t that kind of Alpha.
“I wanted to talk about y/n.”
“Go on.”
“Now that you two are…together” the word is bitter on his tongue, “we should get along. For her sake.”
Yoongi can’t say he’s not caught off-guard. He always thought a jealous Alpha would be one throwing temper tantrums and bearing teeth. Namjoon’s words don’t help make him any less wary, though.
“That’s hard to do when I see the way you look at her. I’ve wanted this for so long, and I’m not going to let a stranger walk into our lives and take it away.”
The word “stranger” has an unsettling feeling rise up in Namjoon’s chest, wanting to protest and that he and you are not strangers. That he understands you in ways Yoongi never will. But he stops himself. Because none of it matters if he can’t be the one thing you need: human.
That’s something Yoongi will always have over him.
“It’s just a crush, nothing serious. I’ll get over it without her ever knowing.”
“How can I believe that? How do I know this crush won’t turn into something serious in the future?”
“Because it can’t. She likes you. Not me. I’m not stupid enough to make a move and risk her kicking out the entire pack. I know you don’t trust me, but you can trust that I won’t risk the future of my pack over this.”
It’s the one statement that does placate Yoongi, because he’s right. The one thing he—and anyone who’s known Namjoon for longer than two seconds—knows is that his every decision revolves around his packmates’ wellbeing.
“Okay. I can believe that.”

The elevator dings and you step onto your floor. Your arm stings from carrying the grocery bags from the garage–they aren’t particularly full, but it’s just heavy enough and just long enough to get your out of shape muscles angry at you. The closer you get to your apartment, the more you notice a banging noise. And when you finally round the corner, you see its source.
Your across-the-hall neighbor, Yoongi, stands outside of his own apartment rattling his door angrily.
“Stuck again?” you ask, fishing out your keys with your free hand.
Yoongi grunts, the small ears on the top of his head pressing into his hair in frustration. Silently, he takes the bags out of your hand while you open your door.
“You should call the landlord again,” you tell him. He follows you inside as if it’s natural. Which, really, it is. This is the fourth time this month his door has jammed, effectively locking him out of his home until a locksmith showed up.
“I’d fix it myself if he’d let me.” He sets the bags on your counter and starts to hand you items. Strawberries, a bottle of coffee creamer, cucumbers and celery. He picks up a box of frozen fish sticks and flips it around to read. “You know this stuff is garbage, right?”
You ignore his commentary on your groceries. “You know Krolmeir’s never going to let you fix it. He’d have to lower your rent.”
He hums, and you can hear the underlying ‘jackass’ in the tone.
“Do you want me to call him?” you asked. Krolmeir–your landlord–likes you way more than he seems to like Yoongi. You’re almost positive you can guess why. But you aren’t afraid to use his skeeviness to your advantage.
“I called him just before you showed up.”
“And he said…?”
“I’ll be there as soon as I can.” Yoongi imitates Krolmeir’s voice–a high-pitched nasally whine more than anything. He rolls his eyes. “So he’ll be here sometime between five minutes from now and next Tuesday.”
You hum sympathetically. “Hang out here until he comes? I’ll make dinner.”
“Are you making fish sticks?”
“Thought about it.” His face scrunches up in disgust, a massive frown parts his lips, revealing his longer than human canine teeth. You laugh and roll your eyes. “I was actually just going to order something. Want to get sushi?”
His eyes light up, but when he speaks, his tone doesn’t match how excited he looks. “Whatever you want to do. I’m the one crashing your evening.”
You wave him off. He should know by now that he’s not imposing. You’ve been neighbors for a few years now. You’d started off just going grocery shopping together–it’s easier to carry groceries when there are two of you–and quickly progressed to taking refuge in each other’s apartments when something went wrong in your own. First, it had been your air conditioning crapping out that had driven you to Yoongi’s apartment to avoid the late-summer heat. Then, his oven stopped working, and he’d hidden in your living room while the landlord and the handyman made the repairs. Back and forth until a friendship had formed.
The sushi arrives and you settle in together on your couch. You prop your door open so that you can hear if the landlord arrives. He takes two bites of his sashimi before Yoongi hums urgently, causing you to pause the show you’d turned on for background noise.
“I’ve been meaning to ask,” he says, and you can tell he’s suddenly nervous. “So we’re having a potluck picnic thing at work, and someone decided it would be a great idea to make it mandatory.”
“Gross.”
“Yeah. But I get a plus one, so I was wondering if maybe you’d go with me? Make it a little more tolerable?”
“You want me to go to your dumb company picnic with you?”
“Well, when you say it like that…” Nervously, he pokes at a grain of rice that had fallen off one of his nigiri.
“Sounds like it’s going to be not a lot of fun.”
“Yeah.”
You shrug. “I’m in.”
Tumblr media
Yoongi is a ball of nerves as you shift into park. You’re definitely not the first ones here–there’s like ten other cars in the gravel lot, and you can see a large-ish group of people milling about the pavilion just up the hill. He alternates between patting his thigh and picking at the skin around his thumbnail. His ears press into his hair so far you can’t even see them. You know he doesn’t care for his coworkers, but you didn’t know it was this bad. Maybe it’s the crowd, or the fact that so many of his coworkers will be here. You aren’t sure, but you don’t like how affected he is.
You reach over and gently cover his hands with your own. He freezes. “Let’s make a game plan,” you say softly. He hums. “We’ll stay for how long? Two hours? An hour and a half?”
“Two I think. Since it’s mandatory.”
You nod. “Stay for two hours. We’ll talk to people, but if it starts to be too much, let me know.”
For a moment, he’s quiet. But then, he nods. “Let’s do this.”
You carry the dessert Yoongi made–partially because you’re a little worried he might drop it from nerves–and he sticks by your side. He’s got one hand in his pocket, but he’s so close that the other brushes against you every few steps.
The closer you get, the more the people in the pavilion notice you. You watch as one by one, then a few at a time, they watch you approach. And suddenly, you understand why Yoongi’s uncomfortable. Eventually, someone comes scuttling toward you.
“Hi Yoongi!” she calls, waving enthusiastically as she approaches.
“Oh. Hey Liz.” He presses closer. “We uh… we brought tiramisu.”
The woman–Liz–takes the container out of your hands. You make a small noise of protest, but she’s already gone, back up the hill to the pavilion and everyone else.
“Yoongi and his girlfriend brought dessert,” you hear her announce.
“Oh, tiramisu? Nice!” someone else–you can’t see who–says.
“No way. I thought he was going to bring something fishy.” Someone else, you can see them and you make a note that you hate them, laughs. A few others chuckle, too, and you also hate them.
They’re still laughing when you get to the pavilion. You’re introduced to each of them by finding out what they brought, and honestly, you don’t remember most of their names. It’s David that made the comment about the fish, so you’re sure to memorize his name so you can hate him fully. David’s dating Yoongi’s manager, Marcus, who apparently brought chicken that is very good. There’s Alison, who brought naan, and Rabia who brought chutney to go with it. And Donghyun brought some sort of seven layer dip.
For the most part, none of them talk to you. It quickly becomes clear that these people aren’t friends. Certainly, they aren’t friends with Yoongi, but they aren’t friends at all. They talk to each other, but it’s clear that this is just another mandatory work thing for them, and they don’t want to be here. You’re honestly a little glad that they leave you alone. None of them seem particularly nice. Or interesting.
So you grab food. And you sit together at a table far away from where the rest of the group is lingering.
“One hour, 45 minutes to go,” Yoongi mumbles, and you snort in laughter, almost choking on the naan you’d just taken a bite of.
“Maybe it won’t be so-”
“Mind if I sit?” You’re interrupted by a bright voice, and when you look, Liz is standing beside Yoongi, holding a plate of food.
You look to Yoongi and he makes a face that says he really doesn’t want her to sit with you. But he says nothing, simply gestures to the other side of the table. Which, of course, she takes as an invitation to sit right beside him. He practically squeaks in distress and scoots slightly over so that there’s a bit of space between them.
“I have to be honest,” Liz begins, oblivious. “No one really expected you to bring anyone. We kind of all just assumed you were single, you know?” He hums, but otherwise doesn’t acknowledge what she’s saying. Briefly, you consider correcting her–you aren’t dating–but she continues before you can even consider a polite way to address the situation. “How long have you known each other? How’d you meet?”
“Years.” He doesn’t even look at her to answer her, his focus on pushing his food around on his plate. His current victim is the seven layer dip he’s stabbing with a tortilla chip.
“We’re neighbors,” you add, hoping that maybe if you answer her questions, she’ll shut up and leave you alone.
Liz nods enthusiastically. “That’s so cute! You guys are cute.”
“I’m going to grab a drink,” Yoongi announces suddenly, standing up. “Do you want anything?”
“Surprise me.”
He nods and leaves you alone with Liz. “I’m serious,” she laughs. “When we were all told we could bring a plus-one, I don’t think anyone expected Yoongi to bring someone. He’s usually so quiet around everyone at work.”
You’ve lost patience with her quickly. You aren’t quite sure what it is, but every time she opens her mouth to speak, it grates on your nerves. “Sometimes, he only talks when he thinks it’s worth his time.” You shrug and make eye contact with her.
Her smile falters very briefly, but then she recovers and it’s like nothing changed. “He talks to me, though,” she continues, as if you’d said nothing. “Mostly about new album releases and stuff.” You work at a music store, you think. But you let her keep talking. “He knows so much about music. He played the piano for me once.”
You hum and say nothing, craning your neck so you can look around her to see where Yoongi’s gotten to. He’s at the end of the pavilion, distracted by Marcus, his manager.
“He’s really good,” Liz gushes. “Like, really good. He used to want to be a music teacher–did you know that? He told me-”
You tune her out. Of course, you know that he plays the piano. You’ve seen the brown upright that sits in his living room, never dusty because he plays it too much. You often hear the soft melodies that travel through the walls at night when he can’t sleep. He’d even told you about wanting to be a music teacher–a long-dead dream that he’d abandoned in his early 20s. You wish he hadn’t, he had the patience of a saint and he was one of the smartest people you knew. But you also understand how needlessly cruel the world can be sometimes.
Finally, Yoongi returns, balancing a plate and two bottles of beer. He sits one of the bottles in front of you and, with a flourish, places the plate between you. “Someone made hotteok,” he says gleefully, nudging a pancake in your direction. “They aren’t hot, but Marcus said they were really good.”
He picks one up, gives it a satisfied pat. A wide, gummy smile spreads across his lips and his eyes crinkle in delight. He pats the pancake again a few more times, before nudging the plate toward you. It’s got one more hotteok on it, and a scoop of the tiramisu trifle Yoongi’d made.
Liz makes a noise of annoyance, and the look on her face says that she’s not happy she’s being ignored. But she plasters on a smile when Yoongi looks over at her.
“Oh. Liz,” he says softly, one hand still gently patting his hotteok. “I didn’t realize you were still here.”
Her face falls. “I was just leaving.”
She leaves her plate behind.
He watches after her, eyes wide as she goes to join the group currently surrounding a bluetooth speaker. It’s blasting some sort of 90s pop song–you assume they’ve got a playlist going on someone’s phone.
“That was weird,” Yoongi says finally. “She’s normally really nice.”
You hum and lie. “Maybe she’s having a bad day.”
And as tactless as you think Liz is, you want to believe that’s true. You’ve heard plenty of stories of her, how she’s the only coworker that Yoongi actually likes, how she’s nice to him, how she actually seems to be interested in what he has to say. You don’t trust her, but you hope for Yoongi’s sake that she’s just off her game today.
Maybe if he clarified that you weren’t dating, it would help.
He doesn’t make any effort to do that, though, not even when Rabia brings around a QR code for you to scan to add songs to the playlist they’ve got going.
“Thought maybe you and your girlfriend would want to add some songs,” she says, offering a small smile. She waits patiently while Yoongi scans the code on her phone, and then she disappears again, back to the group over by the speaker.
“She seems nice,” you say, watching as he types into his phone and picks a couple songs.
Yoongi shrugs. “I’ve met her like twice? She works nights.”
After a second, he hands you his phone, open to some music website you’ve never heard of. You carefully consider what you might want to add. The site doesn’t let you see what else is in the playlist, so you aren’t sure what songs Yoongi picked, let alone what the others have queued up. But you pick two of your favorites that you think would be fun and hand him his phone back.
Apparently, the playlist is on shuffle, because a few songs later, you recognize the opening beats of one of the songs you chose. Immediately, Yoongi perks up, his little ears on alert as he listens. It takes all of about three seconds for him to break into a grin.
He’d introduced you to this band back when you first started grocery shopping together. You were driving, he was playing music on his phone. They were his favorite, a small hip-hop group made up of three dog hybrids. It wasn’t common for hybrids to make it in really any industry, so the fact that these guys did and their music was good? You couldn’t deny they had quickly become some of your favorite artists, too.
He sways a little with the music, his eyes closed. He looks content. You smile watching him, rest your chin on his hands. You’re happy you came, you determine.
Two hours fly faster than you thought they would. And when you point out that you’ve hit your promised limit and ask if Yoongi’s ready to go, he immediately nods. So you stand, say your goodbyes. His coworkers make a big deal of you leaving so soon. Liz tries to hug Yoongi before you leave, but he dodges her by grabbing another hotteok–though whether it was a purposeful deflection or just a happy accident, you aren’t sure.
He barely speaks until you’re in the car and halfway back to your apartment building. He shifts around in his seat, digging around in his pocket. He pulls out a rock–his favorite rock, you note–and rolls it around in his hand.
“Thanks,” he says quietly. “For coming with me. I uh… I’m sorry I didn’t tell them we weren’t dating.”
You frown, and when you slow to a stop at the next redlight, you turn to look at him. “You don’t have to apologize for that. If it made the situation even a little easier, it’s totally fine.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah, I mean, when am I going to see these people again?” The light turns green and you hit the gas. “Let them think whatever they want. You wanna come back in eight months and tell them we’re married? Go for it.”
“I-I don’t…”
“Seriously, don’t worry about it.”
He nods. “I appreciate it.”
The car falls silent, the only sounds coming from the radio–Yoongi’s phone connected to the aux cord. He continues to toy with the rock, rubbing it between his fingers and tapping it against the armrest on the door. It takes only minutes to pull into the garage under your building, and even less to find a spot.
While you’re waiting for the elevator to return to the garage, he says your name so softly, you almost don’t hear it over the whirring of the cables and machinery.
“Here,” he says, reaching out and grabbing your hand. Carefully, he presses his rock into your palm.
You look at him, confused. “Yoongi, I…” He loves this rock. He’d never said exactly where he found it, but it’s a little round and very smooth, and you’ve seen him pat his pockets down on numerous occasions to make sure he has it with him.
“Take it. Please. I… As a thank you.” He doesn’t look at you, his face flushed a shade of light pink.
You nod and close your fingers around the rock. You’ll have to find somewhere nice to put it. And maybe, someday, you can find him a new one to replace it.

A/N: I wrote this in two days due to your guys' interest in the prompt. I chose Tae instead of Jimin, he only has two fics on my blog! Anyways it’s two in the morning and I’m really tired, this is really short compared to the majority of my works but I hope you still enjoy it. ILY and I can’t wait to see you in my inbox and the comments ~ good night my loves 💜

“I’m sorry,” He whispers, the words cracked and broken.
“No, you’re not.” You sighed.
He always did this. He always turned on the tears every time you called him out on his bullshit and you had a terrible habit of falling for it every time. He cried, he apologized, but in a few days he was back on his usual shit.
“But I am, I really am!” He insisted, tears pooling in pretty brown eyes.
“Really? I don’t think he sees it that way,” You said with a jerk of your head in the direction of the limp body splayed on the ground. “In fact, I really doubt he sees much anymore.”
“But he-“
“No!” You yelled, spurring a flinch from him, “You always have some excuse but not this time! I am tired of spending my evenings scrubbing blood out of the grout!”
He could only pout in response because there was no way of getting around it, you were right. It was unfair that you always had to be the one to clean up his messes. But he just couldn’t help himself, he was a killer by design. Not nature, design.
You let out another laborious, tired sigh. It seemed that was all you did these days, ever since you had found Taehyung.
You had almost hit him with your car. It was late at night, a new moon to be exact, the darkness thick and just barely penetrable by your headlights. He had come out of nowhere, his lithe body trapped between two beams of light before you swerved out of the way just missing him by mere inches.
You could remember the feeling of your tight grasp on the leather of the steering wheel, the way your throat constricted and how your chest rapidly rose and fell, and the sound of catchy pop music that was so ill fitting and off putting for such a dramatic turn of events. It was ingrained in your memory, a turning point in your life that you would never forget.
He was huddled in the middle of the road, his arms wrapped around himself as he remained crouched on the wet pavement. But you knew he was looking at you. His golden eyes were glowing back at you, like a predator glaring at you from the depths of the jungle. There was something inside you that knew that he was dangerous, an echo of intuition from thousands of years before you. But you were a modern human, you were good at ignoring your instincts.
As you approached him you noticed several things about him. The dirt and blood that stained his honey skin, his taunt, tense, strong muscles, and of course the ears protruding from his thick, dark curls, and the tail that swung in agitation from his tailbone.
Taehyung was, quite literally, one of a kind.
An embryo spliced with the DNA of an apex predator, something that had never existed before him, a hybrid.
He had hissed at you, stopping you four feet away from his crumpled form. His teeth glinted in the light, a set of fangs protruding from the top row of his teeth with a smaller matching set on the bottom. That noise had every nerve in your body tingling in fright, yet still you persisted.
You made yourself smaller, lowering yourself to the ground so that you were lower than he was with your arms at your sides, every vulnerable point of your body open and exposed to him.
You remembered the feeling of his nose nudging at your pulse point, the warmth of his breath ghosting over your neck, the rumble of a growl deep in his chest before it faded to a gentle chuff as he nuzzled his face against the column of your throat.  There were serrated teeth hidden behind beautiful full lips, one little bite would sever a major artery and blood would arch through the dark sky.
Taehyung was a dangerous brand of beautiful.
You often liked to joke to yourself that you were a lonely woman who took in a stray cat. It was easier to use humor to veil the harsh reality of what you had actually brought into your home.
Taehyung quickly became attached to you, it was almost like he had imprinted on you. It was the only way that you could explain his sudden and intense adoration towards you especially when you remembered the way he looked at you when he first saw you. It was like he was hungry.
That hunger was ever present in his eyes, buried beneath the loving gaze it's embers still burned. The fiery gold cooled to a deep brown, his eyes wide in wonderment as he watched you.
You hissed in pain when he dug his fingers into your arms as you tried to help lower him into the tub. A hiss died in his throat as he slowly sunk into the warm water, a gentle purr took its place.
“There you go,” You hummed as you helped him wash, the tub water steadily growing murky as you scrubbed the grime and blood from his skin.
The noise he made as you washed his hair, massaging his scalp and the base of his ears, was heavenly. A beautiful baritone groan that melted into a purr. After all, panthers were still cats.
When you pulled the drain plug and went to grab a towel, he spoke to you for the first time.
His hold on your arm tightened, his soft eyes turned primal once more. “Don’t leave.”
His voice was deep and raspy. It sounded like he hadn’t spoken in a long time, it sounded animalistic. It suited him well.
Over time you learned Taehyung never wanted to be alone. He clung to you at all times no matter what you were doing and despite your protests he followed you to bed every night. He would wrap you up tightly in his embrace sealing you into his prison-like grasp with a leg draped over your hip. His adoration was constricting.
“It was cold,” He finally explained to you, “They kept me in a room all by myself. It was all metal and concrete, they fed me with long silver tongs. I was always alone, the only touch I knew, hurt.”
You held him tighter that night, your heart ached for your panther. All he wanted was for someone to love him, he was just as human as anyone else.
“Please don’t hurt me.” He whispered, nudging the back of your head with his nose and breathing in your scent as his pretty fingers smoothed over your ribs in a slow, circular pattern.
In reality, it wasn’t you that would end up hurting anyone.
You had noticed something was wrong when he lost his appetite. He would stare down at his plate with a bored and confused look in his eyes, poking at whatever he was supposed to be eating with a lack of interest.
“Please, Tae,” You would beg, using the soft and soothing voice you knew he responded well to, “Just a few bites for me? You don’t want to hurt my feelings, do you?”
He would acquise with those big adoring eyes before taking small and faux enthusiastic bites. But it was clear he wasn’t enjoying it and you had an idea as to why that was. But it was easier for your own sanity if you ignored the glaring problem.
It became unignorable the night a man broke into your house.
Taehyung had heard it first, the shattering of glass and the metal squeak of door hinges. He had crept out of bed and stalked into the hallway, clinging to the shadows as he watched the man attempt to sneak further into your home. He was trespassing into his territory and that was a dire mistake.
You were awoken by the screaming. You jolted upright and were greeted by your pitch black bedroom. The screams persisted, deep, panicked, blood curdling screams followed by a wet gurgle and then an ever scarier silence.
That feeling was there again, that intuition that was buried inside of you that was begging you to lock and barricade the door and not go investigating the source of those screams. But Taehyung was missing and you were scared without him.
The hallway was dark, but a single beam of moonlight shone through the broken window of the front door and illuminated the carnage in front of you.
Taehyung was bent over the body of a man. His tail was slowly skirting over the floor in delight as he ripped a chunk of flesh from the man’s shoulder and tilted his head back. His throat bobbed as he swallowed, the blood on his face gleaming in the moonlight.
You could see the man on the floor now, his throat had been ripped open and blood was steadily pooling around him. His eyes were vacant, his jaw was slack. He was dead. Taehyung had killed him.
Taehyung was eating him.
There had always been a part of you that had considered this to be a possibility. It explained why Taehyung was in the state he was in the night that you had found him. It explained how he had escaped that facility and why he wasn’t hungry for days after. He had killed and consumed his handlers.
Despite the panther ears and tail, you often forgot that Taehyung wasn’t entirely human. He was so sweet with you, so clingy and adorable. But he was still an apex predator. He didn’t want to be fed with tongs or served cooked meals. He needed to hunt, it was ingrained in his DNA.
You watched in fascinated horror as his teeth and textured tongue expertly removed flesh from bone. He was finally eating.
You took a step back only to trip over a bag that had belonged to the intruder. Out of it spilled horrifyingly familiar items. Duct tape, zip ties, knives. It was a kill kit. Your breathing stuttered and your heart dropped. There was not a doubt in your mind as to what that man had planned to do, and Taehyung had stopped him. He protected you.
His golden eyes were looking at you now, their narrowed predatory gaze relaxing, and his soft round eyes returned. He rose up from his animalistic crouch with a fluidity no normal man could possess and slowly approached you.
You closed your eyes as he neared you, your body on fire from genuine fear. It was a toxic blend, the love and the fear that you felt for him. You flinched when his large hand cupped your face and held your breath when you felt his lips softly drag over your cheek leaving a streak of warm blood in their wake.
“I’m sorry,” He mumbled, a stray tear escaping his eye and rolling down your cheek, “I’m so hungry.”
When you opened your eyes you were met with quite a sight. Taehyung had always been beautiful, the most beautiful man that you had ever seen. But the way he looked now made you realize how sick you were. How could you think he looked beautiful with those full lips stained red and the glaze of a shed tear streaked down the curve of his face.
Taehyung never asked to be made, and now he had to suffer the consequences of his creation.
“It’s okay baby,” You cooed, your thumb brushing a bead of blood from his lower lip that he chased with his tongue, swiping it off of the tip of your finger. “Finish your meal.”
~~~~~~~
There was a shift that night.
The relationship between the two of you was changing. You could see it in the way he watched you. It was a different kind of hunger, one for a companionship he had never been able to have.
And his regular appetite was changing too.
You tried taking him to the forest, letting him hunt small and big game. And it worked, but the human side of him would often combat the animal side. He craved the complexity of hunting humans. He craved satiating his wrath against humans, the very beings that had created him.
Animals worked in the short term, but it was never long before another man ended up dead in your yard or in this case, on the kitchen floor.
“You said it was okay if it was bad people!” Taehyung tried, his ears pressing down flat against his skull as his tail twitched behind him.
“Yes, bad people Tae! Intruders, rapists, murderers, not delivery guys!”
“He entered my territory-“
“This is my house, Tae! My house! Don’t start with the territory shit again.”
“I can’t help it, you know that! You don’t feel what I feel, it’s instinctual, I need to do this!”
You gripped your hair tightly in distress before leaning against the counter and dropping your head into your hands.
“People are going to start noticing, Tae. You can’t keep doing this. If it’s not the police then it’s going to be the people that made you and they’ll take you away from me, is that what you want?”
“No!” He yelled, grabbing you by your shoulders and spinning you around to face him. “I want to stay with you, please don’t let them take me away!”
You softened as he began to cry again, his tears wearing away at you like they always did even though you were very aware of the fact that you couldn’t keep letting him do this. You cupped his cheek and lightly wiped his tears away as he bumped the side of his face against your hand before laying a bloody kiss to your palm.
You couldn’t think rationally when he treated you like this. Your head was also hazy with desire when he did this. It was completely and utterly unfair.
“Come on, I’ll put you to bed.” You hummed before taking his hand and guiding him to your shared room.
It was even harder to think clearly when he looked so adorable, wide eyed and curled up beneath your blankets. That was why you needed the distance. You needed to think about what more you could do, you couldn’t keep letting him kill innocent guys whose worst crime was getting a little handsy, like the delivery guy. You knew what it was, you knew what desire looked like in someone’s eyes. Taehyung was wiping out any man he saw as competition. He had said it himself, it was instinctual.
Your heart ached when his eyes filled with confusion and it tore in half when despair overtook him as you shut and locked the door, trapping him on the other side. You could hear him scramble across the floor and you watched as the door knob jiggled.
“Please open the door!” He called through the wood, “Why are you doing this, please let me out!”
“Just calm down Taehyung, go to sleep, I'll be right back.”
“I didn’t mean to scare you, please open the door, I’ll be good I promise! I won’t hurt you!”
“I just need some space, just lay down, I’ll be back.” You said firmly despite how horrible you felt for confining him to your room.
“No, no, no, no! Don’t leave me, please! I’ll be good!” He continued to yell and continued to break your heart.
You couldn’t bear to listen to his anguished, panicked cries especially with the knowledge that you were the cause of them.
You could still hear his yelling and banging on the door as you dragged the body out of the kitchen, a long and laborious effort that left a large streak of blood behind you. This wasn’t the first time that you had to do this but usually you had Taehyung to take care of all the heavy lifting while you took care of the cleanup. It was a morbid, macabre chore, but one you had come accustomed to frighteningly quick.
In your backyard, there were several piles of dirt. Some had been freshly turned over while others had sat undisturbed for some time. Above each pile sat a freshly planted rose bush. There had been a time where your backyard was barren and neglected. Ever since Taehyung had entered your life, you had done quite a bit of gardening…against your will.
You huffed in exhaustion as you patted the soil smooth with your shovel. You would need to pick up another rose bush tomorrow.
You had figured this would be the best way to deal with the problem, and it helped Taehyung in some odd, primal way. Sometimes he would sit outside with a satisfied look on his face like he was proud of what he had done. You knew it was because it felt that he had eliminated another threat or competitor. It meant that he had you all to himself again.
Fear and love are a volatile blend. Could you look past your fear because you loved him? Or did you love him because you were afraid? Afraid of what would happen if you didn’t shower him with affection and attention. Would he turn on you too?
The sound of a loud crack frightened you causing you to drop the shovel. It clattered to the ground and rolled over in the grass, suddenly becoming far more interesting than it had been moments ago.
You glanced back up at the house and watched, frozen in shock, as the door was thrown open and slammed up against the siding of the house. Taehyung stood on the back steps, his hands bloody from clawing at and breaking through your bedroom door. His chest was heaving from exertion and anxiety and for the first time in a long while, he scared you. His gaze narrowed in on you, those panther eyes glowing with hunger and desire once they found you.
With blood and dirt caked beneath your nails you were reminded of the kill he made not all that long ago. The fear you felt was all too real. And, on instinct, you turned and you ran.
You really should have known better. He was an apex predator, he was built for the chase and for the hunt. You had watched the way he enjoyed tracking and stalking his prey before going in for the kill. But in reality, everything you had done up until this point had not made sense. You should have kept driving that night, you shouldn’t have brought him home, you certainly shouldn’t have let him sleep in your bed, and you definitely should have ran the first time he had killed and consumed another human being.
Running was instinct, it was the only thing that you did that made sense.
But you couldn’t make it far. You were exhausted from dragging and burying that body, you were running on empty with a dash of adrenaline. And Taehyung, he was stronger than you, faster than you, and could even see in the dark. It was embarrassing that you had even attempted to escape him.
His strides were completely silent, you had realized he was closing in on you too late and within seconds his arms were wrapped around your chest and dragging you down into the grass.
It had happened so quickly that you didn’t register it, you laid on your back, frozen in the grass as you processed what happened. And once you looked up and caught sight of his canines you began to writhe beneath him, managing to turn over and scramble a foot away before he grabbed you by your hips and dragged you back beneath him. He caged you in between his arms and pressed his body weight against you until you collapsed chest first into the ground.
“Taehyung, wait!” You cried as you felt him shove his face in the juncture between your neck and shoulder.
You closed your eyes then, waiting for him to make the fatal bite that you had seen him deliver time and time again. But there was nothing. You jerked with a surprised cry as you felt his tongue glide over your pulse point in slow languid laps.
“Tae, what are you-“ He cut you off with a menacing growl, one that told you you were not going to dissuade him from doing what he felt needed to be done.
An involuntary gasp parted your lips as you felt his hips grind down against you, his hands sliding up towards your wrists and holding them in an iron grip as his slow licks transitioned into hot, wet, open mouthed kisses along the side of your neck. He was making sure he marked up every inch of skin that was exposed to him.
“I can’t help it,” He whined, his voice breathy and deep as he ground himself against you even harder than before, spurring a soft cry from you. “I need you.”
You supposed this was the better alternative to him killing you. But still, it didn’t feel quite right.
“I can’t.” You groaned.
A menacing snarl echoed beside your ear and in one quick movement he flipped you over onto your back and pulled your legs tightly over his hips. His hold was so strong he wasn’t giving you an inch to move unless it was against him and in the way that he desired.
And in a moment of pure need he firmly gripped your jaw and pressed his lips against yours in a searing kiss. Everything about him was primal, even the way that he kissed. It wasn’t particularly skilled, it was definitely his first, but it didn’t lack passion or desire. He wouldn’t even let you breathe, your lungs burning and singing in desperation for air as he moaned into your mouth while desperately rutting against you.
“Don’t leave me,” He moaned in between desperate, relentless kisses.
‘Tae-,” You tried again only for your words to be smothered once more.
“No, I won’t let you leave me.”
So Many Questions
Tumblr media
[ temporary cover since I haven't gotten the time to create one and I just had to get this idea out ]
• pairings: human! Jin x black panther hybrid! Yoongi x border collie hybrid! Hoseok x human! Namjoon x ragdoll hybrid! Jimin x human! Taehyung x rottweiler hybrid! Jungkook x ashera hybrid! Reader; poly! bts x hybrid! reader
• summary: For years, Y/N had always been weighed fown by so many questions. For years, she would always try to find the answers to these questions but time and time again she's left disappointed until one day, she just stopped caring for them.
• genre: fluff, angst (I think that's about it for now, will just add if the story takes a sharp turn....)
• warnings: none... for now heheh (every chapter will have individual warnings)
Tumblr media
"Leave."
Namjoon lets out a deep sigh as he tries to hold back his tears from falling, trying to keep a strong front as he faces the woman that he had not seen for the last six months while she continues to glare at him, fire in her eyes.
"Please, I need you to listen to me. I promise, I'll explain everything but please, don't push me away. Don't make me leave." Namjoon pleads as he looks at the furious eyes of the usually kind and positive woman who only lets out a scoff at his words.
"Explain? What is there to explain? Namjoon, I don't think there's anything you can ever say that will justify what you did. Promising something is already a huge thing, breaking that big of a promise is another thing."
"I know what I did was really shitty and I'm telling you, there is not a single minute of every day where I did not think about what I did and there is not a single day where I went to sleep without thinking and regretting what I did but please, you have to understand that it was the only solution that I could think of at that time and I know it was wrong, I know I could've done better but I'm here now, I'm willing to right those mistakes."
"And that's the thing, Namjoon, you could've done better. Had you reached out, I would've done everything I could to help you, all of this could've been prevented. Everything that happened after that day shouldn't have happened and yet it did because you did not reach out to those who can help you. You let your pride get the best of you." Not being able to hold back the tears any longer, Namjoon firmly shut his eyes as tears continuously fall from his eyes, feeling his heart and mind bleed because no matter how many times he tried to deny it, no matter how harsh her words may have been, he knew it was true. He let his pride get the best of him and that ultimately led to him losing the best thing that has ever happened to him—to them.
Hello, just a snippet of this new story that has been corrupting my mind every night. Let me know your thoughts and if you want me to open a taglist, thank you 🌼
Chapter 5 | Chapter 6 | Chapter 7
Namjoon looked over to the Omega, she was nibbling on some crackers with her nose in a book. He had yet to tell her that she would be going home with him at the end of shift. He had a comfortable outfit from the clothes that Yoongi had picked out for her, along with a list of rules for their house. She would need to read it over before they would head out. The doctor pulled the sheet of paper out and read over it again. Honestly it was more like a contract that Yoongi wrote up with the pack except the Omega did not have to sign it.
The following Rules and Regulations will be followed and adhered by at all times. To go against any of these rules could lead to certain consequences such as removal from the house.
- The agreed party will continue to maintain and seek medical help with Namjoon.
- The agreed party will listen to all the alphas of the house.
- The agreed party will help with chores around the house.
- The agreed party will not leave the house without telling any pack members.
- The agreed party will not harm any pack members.
It wasn’t anything too terrible. If she was to stay with them then her household chores were to be easy, help in the kitchen, tidy her room and handle her own laundry. Namjoon was pretty sure the Omega was going to agree to come with him, but he was still a little anxious.
At home he knew the pack was preparing for her to arrive. Knowing Jin, he was probably bossing everyone around to make the house presentable, even though it always is. Yoongi said he would make dinner tonight for her first night home - the alpha planned on making Doenjang Jjigae with hopes that the comforting stew would help her feel comfortable and welcome into the home.
Yoongi stated he would try his best to be nice to the Omega, even if he didn’t have the best feelings about her situation. It wasn’t her fault that she went through whatever it is that she experienced.
Namjoon looked at the clock, it was almost time to head out. He sighed and walked over to her while he pulled a chair to the side of her bed. “How are you feeling right now?” He asked.
She turned her attention to him, closing the book after chanting the page number in her head several times before she answered him. “I’m feeling good. How about you? I must admit you don’t seem like yourself today.”
The doctor gave a small chuckle before he sighed. “I’m good, but I’m also nervous.”
She frowned at his words and placed the book down on the small table next to her bed before turning her body to face him completely. “Nervous?” She questioned as she reached her hands forward and cradled his face in her palms, her fingers running gently on his skin, looking for the answer to why he was so stressed.
“Well I need and want to talk to you about something. I think you’ll react positively about it, but there is also a chance that you won’t and I would feel bad making you spiral in your own thoughts again.” He took her hands from his face and held them in his as he spoke.
The omega paused, as her mind started to race a little bit. The last time the doctor brought up a topic that upset her was when he was talking about a mental health facility. Could that be what this was all about? He did say he thought she might react positively, so maybe not. She wouldn’t know until she asked. “What is it?” She asked with a shaky breath.
"My pack and I were talking… you need to get out of the hospital, leaving the clinic will help benefit your healing and so we wanted to invite you to stay in our home while you recover. There would be some ground rules if you agree. Would that be okay with you?" The doctor asked.
Her heart rate increased suddenly, the pounding sound of it reached her ears. She felt hot and shaky with the need to start picking at something, so she let go of his hands and decided her fingernails were the perfect choice. “You want me to come home with you?” She questioned, making sure she understood correctly.
“Only if you want to. If you think it’s better for you to stay here then you can stay here at the rescue.” Namjoon was starting to worry about her behavior, it wasn’t her typical freak out but it was still concerning that she didn’t immediately answer yes like he thought she would.
She looked at him and swallowed hard. The monsters knew she was here but they didn’t know where Namjoon lived, she could be safe there. She had been waiting for them to come back when no one was around and take her back to the hell she escaped. She wanted to tell him yes, so badly - but the thoughts lingered at the back of her mind. What if the monsters found her again? What if they went after Namjoon’s pack? What if one of them got hurt, or all of them? She would never forgive herself.
The alpha could see the variety of emotions swirling in her eyes; relief, sadness and anxiety. He started to regret the question - he should take it back and call the pack to let them know they didn’t need to prepare anything. Maybe Yoongi could bring some of the stew here for her to eat. “It’s okay, no worries. I’m sorry to have upset you.” He stood from his seat and the sound that passed her lips broke his heart, it was a mix of a gasp and a sob. She had gripped the sleeve of his white coat so quickly that he almost stumbled into the bed.
“I want to go.” She confessed, her voice loud with urgency. “I’m… I’m just scared.” She whispered as she dropped her hand from his sleeve.
Namjoon looked at her as she stared at the blanket on her lap. “What are you scared of?” He asked as he took a seat in front of her again.
“What if they find me? What if they find you, your pack, your safe place?” Her lip trembled at the thoughts.
The alpha guided her chin up with his one hand until she was looking at him. “Darling, we will protect you if anyone shows up to hurt you. Trust us.”
“I do, but I’m worried about them hurting your pack or you.”
He gave a gentle smile. “It won’t happen, and even if they found us - we will worry about it. You just focus on getting better. Okay?”
She nodded her head slowly at him. “Okay.” She whispered.
****
Namjoon held my hand as he walked me up to the rather large home. It was intimidating and I almost wanted to run back to the comforts of the hospital clinic that I grew to know. My feet felt heavy, like they were filled with cement, making me stop in front of the first step of the staircase. I could feel the doctor look at me but I was too busy looking at the giant house. I wanted to take a step back, I could feel my muscles twitching to do so but before I could even try to back away the front door opened and my eyes snapped over to the form that was excitedly rushing down the stairs to meet us.
“Angel, you’re here.” Jimin spoke with a grin on his face.
I suddenly didn’t feel so nervous, instead I felt excited and relieved. “Hi Jimin.” I felt myself grin.
He held his hand out, offering for me to place mine in his. “Do you want to see your room or do you want to see the rest of the house first?”
I blinked as I looked at his hand before slowly placing mine in his, he immediately laced our fingers together. I looked at our hands for another moment, it was peaceful in my brain for once and I squeezed his hand gently. As he squeezed back I looked up at Namjoon making sure he was okay that I went with Jimin. The doctor nodded his head, letting go of my other hand as he turned back to the car and grabbed the small bag that had the book and notebook he let me have from the hospital. “A grand tour would be okay.” I answered.
Jimin led me up the steps and into the house. The grand tour consisted of him guiding me into each new room, stating what they called it and some story with it. “This room is the study, you can usually find Namjoon here reading.” or “This is the gym, Jungkook likes boxing, so he comes here to work out.” I haven’t seen any of the other pack members, so I figured they were giving us space while I toured around.
“Everyone has their own room, but there is also the pack room - that's where we spend most of the time together. It’s rare to find any of us in our rooms.” We were walking down a long hallway before he stopped at a closed door. “This room is your room, Jin set it up but if there is something you don’t like we can always move things or buy new stuff.” Jimin spoke as he opened the door to the room.
I stepped inside slowly, looking all around in amazement. It was perfect, the walls were a light purple color, the furniture was a maple wood color, and there was a giant window that looked over the garden of the backyard. There was a small bookshelf that had a few books on it and next to it was a reclining chair. The bed had a giant pile of blankets folded at the end. “It’s wonderful.”
Jimin smiled at me. “I’m glad. There are some outfits in the closet that Yoongi picked out for you and there are some of my pajamas in the dresser until we can get you to the store to pick out your own.”
“Oh, you guys didn’t have to do that.” This was too much, they’re doing too much.
“We wanted to. Why don’t you relax? Yoongi is making dinner and I’ll get you when it’s ready.”
I watched Jimin leave the room and close the door behind him. I turned to look around the room and after a moment I rushed over to the bed and dove into the most comfortable blankets I had ever felt.
****
I was deep in the covers when Jimin knocked on the door for dinner. I reluctantly pulled myself out of the comfortable nest I had built. I really just wanted to sleep but then Jimin cracked the door open and the most amazing smell came into the room, my mouth immediately started to water. My stomach let out a loud grumble and I felt my cheeks heat from embarrassment. If Jimin heard my stomach, he did not let it show.
“Hey Angel, dinner is done. Would you like to join the pack?” He asked as he stepped just past the entrance of the room.
I felt my mouth go dry. I forgot about the rest of the pack, Namjoon had told me a little bit about them. I knew there was a Yoongi who was there the day I arrived and I think he said another omega was there too. I wasn’t sure exactly how big the pack was but I was starting to feel my nerves start to get the best of me. “How big is the pack?”
My question must have thrown him off at first because he paused and blinked twice. “Oh, we are seven.” He smiled. “I know that might be a little intimidating but you met most of us already. If you’re uncomfortable, I can always bring some food up here and I’ll eat dinner with you.”
My heart raced at the suggestion. Jimin was seriously so nice but I couldn’t do that to him. I gathered my wits about me and shook my head. “I will be brave, thought Coraline. No, I am brave.” I heard myself whisper as I thought of the book. Jimin must have heard me as well because I saw a small smile spread across his lips.
“I will be with you Angel, nothing bad will happen and if you get nervous or it becomes too much we can always come to your room if that makes you feel better.” He held his hand out to me, an offer and a promise.
My head felt fuzzy and a warmth spread over me. I closed the distance between us and grabbed his hand. “Okay, let’s go.”
Six people were sitting at the table, happily chatting with each other when Jimin and I walked in. I felt myself freeze as the room went quiet and all eyes were suddenly on me. I stepped behind Jimin, pressing myself to peek over his shoulder, like a child who would hide behind their mother’s legs. I ducked my head into his back not wanting to see everyone staring at me. I felt his chest rumble with a warning growl and the room came alive again, though the chatter was much more quiet than before.
“Are you okay darlin’?” I could hear Namjoon speaking from right in front of Jimin. He must have left the table to come over and check on me.
I peeked from over Jimin’s shoulder and nodded my head. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to behave like that.”
Namjoon’s eyes softened and he stepped closer as Jimin guided me out from behind him. “Darlin’ you don’t need to apologize. We should have let you come into the room first and then we all could have joined you slowly. The pack is just excited, especially those who haven’t really met you yet. Shall we introduce you?”
I looked over to the table and noticed one of the members kept peeking over, and as he noticed my gaze he looked away quickly with guilt of being caught staring. It made me want to giggle and made me realize they’re not only excited as the doctor stated but probably also just as anxious as I am. “Okay.”
Namjoon led me to the table and Jimin followed close behind. He introduced me kindly by name and went around the table giving everyone's name and their status in the pack.
I respectfully bowed and greeted them back before taking a seat between Jimin and Namjoon. The food looked and smelled delicious but I couldn't take a bite until I saw everyone else starting to eat as well. I went around the table with my eyes watching each of the pack members.
I was slightly familiar with Jin, I learned that he was the only Beta in the pack. “Unnie, are you really okay?” I can still hear the concern in his voice. I watched him closely as he laughed over something his pack mate said, his giggle floating up like bubbles making me smile.
Next was Hoseok, the Alpha who originally found me. Namjoon told me that he was looking for others since finding me - there were two more after me but they didn’t make it. Sometimes I would catch him peeking into the hospital ward, a sad sort of smile usually graced his face in those moments. “Hey, can you hear me?” His voice was the one I heard the most, it would whisper in the darkness of the night, wrapping around me like a blanket - the warmth of it reminding me of the sun letting me know I was in a safe place.
Jungkook sat next to him, a new face for me. He looked the youngest of them all, an air of amber honey surrounded him as his eyes shined with stars as he too giggled with Jin. He was the one who was trying to not get caught staring earlier. A fellow omega, who has yet to say anything to me personally yet but I was really to embrace the sounds that would pass his lips.
Next to him was another omega, Taehyung, he had a bite’s worth of food hanging on his fork while he chatted away. I could faintly pick up the sounds of his husky baritone voice that swirled like velvet as he spoke with the pack member next to him, Yoongi.
I heard Yoongi’s name plenty of times while in the hospital ward. I knew he was an Alpha who wasn’t too keen about me being around his pack. His gaze slid over to me before his eyes dropped to my untouched plate, he frowned slightly as his eyes found mine again. He responded to Taehyung, his voice was surprisingly soft for the hardness in his eyes. My heart started pounding and I couldn't make out the words he was saying to the omega but his eyes were so intense I had to break contact and look down at my hand that was holding the fork I had yet to use.
“Do you not like Doenjang Jjigae?” Namjoon’s deep voice broke me from my thoughts. “We can get you something else if you wish.” I found his eyes quickly. “Okay darlin’, it was from the right.” The first words that made me feel safe.
I bit my lip and leaned forward to whisper in his ear. “What… what if it isn’t safe? What if it’s poisoned and I get sick again?”
Namjoon pulled back with a deep sadness on his face, it made me regret saying anything - I should have just ate it and got sick. I could hear the sigh that passed his lips before he leaned forward to my own ear. “It’s not poisoned darlin’. Yoongi made it for everyone.” My eyes found Yoongi’s, the alpha was staring hard at me and my heart rate sped up again.
Namjoon pulled back and stuck his fork into my plate, grabbing a piece of meat and placing it into his mouth. As he chewed the look of delight graced his features before he swallowed the food down. “It’s delicious, pup. You should definitely give it a try.”
I could feel Jimin grab my free hand and with the tenderness only he seemed to possess and gave an encouraging squeeze. I could sense that everyone was paying attention now, even if they weren’t looking at me. It was overwhelming, I wanted to leave, to get away, to run. I could feel my lungs start to drag air into my lungs a little faster while I tried to fight it - the start of my sanity starting to slip. My feet felt restless, I needed to run and run and run. “Keep moving. Don’t let them get you.”
I heard the sob that escaped my lips before the tear spilled over my cheeks. I could hear the concerned chirps of the other two omega’s in the room but before I could bolt from my seat I felt arms wrap around me and pulled me toward someone’s chest. “It’s okay, Angel. We got you. You’re safe here.” I gripped him tight as his words swirled in my head. “You left them behind.” The second words to confirm I was with trusted people.
“I’m sorry!” My voice cracked as I apologized into his shirt.
“It’s okay. This was too much at once. We should have planned this out better for you.” Jimin ran his fingers through my hair. “Would you like to go back to your room?”
I shook my head. I needed to do this. I heard the sounds of chairs moving, as if the pack was leaving the table instead. I gripped his shirt tighter and grit my teeth before forcing myself from his chest. “Wait, don’t go.” The words rushed in my panic. I don’t know why my eyes found Yoonig’s but they did. He looked unamused at my outburst and it made me feel even more embarrassed. “Please, don’t go. I’m sorry. I’ll try again. I want to try again. I don’t want to be like this.”
Yoongi looked right into my very soul, not blinking but I caught his tongue pressed into the side of his cheek as he watched me. He then slowly sat down, a brow raised before he looked back at the plate. I could sense everyone else sitting back down and Jimin tensed at the tension in the air.
I gathered some food on my fork and sniffed it before placing it in my mouth. It tasted just as good as it smelt. I felt my stomach roar to life, demanding more but I made it wait. “It really is delicious.” I spoke and I swear I saw the corners of Yoongi’s lips lift for a split second.
The tension dissipated after that. I stayed quiet, taking small bites of my dinner while watching the pack members until they slowly finished their meals and started clearing the table. I was glad I didn’t have to do any talking during the meal, they probably didn’t like me as it was. Jimin and Namjoon stayed with me, each speaking their own words of encouragement when I asked if I could have seconds despite my stomach starting to hurt. The doctor agreed but only gave me a small amount more that I was able to finish.
Jimin grabbed my plate and I went to protest but he told me not to worry about it. Instead he motioned to Namjoon who was waiting for me. “I’ll see you in the morning, angel. Please rest well now.”
I nodded my head as I watched him leave the room. I then turned my attention to the doctor.
“I’ll walk you to your room.” The alpha grinned.
The two of us walked slowly, and I could feel the exhaustion settling in with each step. A yawn escaped me before I could catch it. “Thank you for bringing me here. Your home is beautiful.”
“I’m glad you like it. I’m sorry about dinner, I sometimes forget that not everyone is used to my pack. They can be a little overwhelming at times but they mean right. Especially Yoongi.”
I felt myself freeze at the alpha’s name. While I didn’t feel any malice from Yoongi, I knew I wasn’t his favorite and probably never will be. “It’s okay. Claire Cross once wrote, ‘The softest hearts always have the toughest shields.’ I find everyone’s behavior and thoughts of me valid. I’m the crazy one.”
“You’re not crazy.”
“I’m not?”
“No, just a little lost at times.”
********
A few days later, around lunch time, Namjoon left the study to seek out their guest. On his adventures he found Jimin and was surprised to see that he was alone. "Where is she?" He asked, expecting that the two of them would have been glued at the hip. Jimin had taken off of work since her arrival to make sure she settled in nicely.
Over the past few days Jimin was constantly at her side bringing her all around the manor, mostly to sit in the gardens or the back fields where the wildflowers grew high to their waist. Jimin and her would arrive in the house hours later, with flower crowns donning their heads and their skin flushed from the summer heat. Sometimes she would read a book to Jimin under the large maple tree or even more rare would hum a beautiful tune and slowly spin on her toes in circles, one leg lifted with her arms wide open at her sides. Jimin would watch her happily, thinking about joining in her simple ballet. He always questioned the name of the song she hummed, it seemed so familiar to him but he couldn't place it.
From a window from the second floor, Yoongi would watch the two of them, making sure nothing happened. He would stay behind the dark sheer curtains, slightly memorized by the grace of the omega below, her hair catching the sun just right making it look like glitter was brushed over the tresses. He would shake his head, trying to make sense of his own thoughts that would wander to places he didn't want them to go.
Jimin smiled at Namjoon and grabbed his hand. "Come and see for yourself." He led the other Alpha to the open window that was right outside the backyard patio. "Found them here this morning and didn't have the heart to interrupt."
On the back patio Jungkook was sitting with the female, color coordinated piles of wild flowers at their sides. She giggled as she placed her flowers down and reached forward to help guide the male's hands in the right direction and motion."Just like this, if you think about it too much then it seems difficult but I promise it's easy."
Jungkook nodded his head and held the flowers carefully as she picked her own back up. This time he moved his hands as she moved hers, following the exact movement. He picked up the new flower and followed the instructions again. He felt a smile tug at his lips as he watched his chain grow longer and longer. "Thank you, Noona."
Namjoon smiled at the two omegas, glad to see the female making friends with Jungkook. “She’s been doing well here.” It was true, she had not had an episode yet, a few close calls when she’d grow silent and get lost in her thoughts.
“I know. I’m happy for her.” Jimin replied. “Thank you, Joon. Thank you for bringing her home. I think I was missing something before and now I think I found it.”
Namjoon nodded his head. “I can see a difference in you. You seem happier in a way.”
The two alphas stood there for a while, watching the two omegas build their flower crowns. Once they were done, the female allowed the male to place his head in her lap as she played with his hair. She started telling him a story, about seven unlikely companions traveling to the depths of a place called Mordor to destroy a ring.
She looked up at the sky, eyes closed as she embraced the warmth of the setting sun. “It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.” She quoted the book before turning her attention to the male omega, smiling that she still had his attention.
“You’re a good storyteller, Noona.” Jungkook whispered as he looked up at her.
Jimin smiled from the window and turned his attention to the doctor. “Shall we go help with dinner before we call them in?”
Namjoon nodded his head, casting one more look at the two beings outside, his heart full at the scene.
*****
Namjoon frowned at the other three omegas before looking back at the female. She has been doing so well at dinner, eating without being encouraged to do so. Tonight was different though, everyone was done eating but she had yet to take a bit of her food. He could tell she was deep in her thoughts as she stared at the table in front of her. The rest of the pack was dismissed for now while Namjoon tried to get her to respond, with no success. Even Jimin couldn’t snap her out of her thoughts so they just sat there with her, hoping she would snap herself back.
At some point she started to hum the song she always hums and she turned her head slightly as if watching a scene in front of herself. Namjoon started to hum with it too, he knew the song as he tried to recall the words until finally it sparked. “...when you see me, when you touch me.” He whispered to the tune. “She’s humming Serendipity.”
Jimin snapped his fingers, that’s why he knew the song - it was one of his favorites. The way she hummed it was slower than the regular speed of the song, but it sounded just as elegant now that he could put the lyrics to her tune. He started to sing the lyrics in tune with her humming and he watched her eyes slowly come back into focus until she stopped humming and blinked twice.
She looked around her and realized that some of the pack was missing, the table was cleared with the exception of her own plate. “Oh, I’m sorry.” She felt her cheeks heat in embarrassment and she looked down at her plate, refusing to meet their gaze.
“Where did you go?” Hoseok asked her as he watched her from across the table.
She tilted her head as if she was trying to recall the scene. “There were flashing rainbow lights that glittered all over the room and large silver balls with tiny mirrors spinning on the ceiling. She wore a white dress and danced with the best dressed male. They spun in circles while everyone clapped on the sidelines.”
They knew what she was describing, a wedding - but who’s wedding was it.
“Is this something you remember seeing in person?” Namjoon asked.
She smiled and nodded her head. “Yes, I was present.”
“Were you the one wearing the white dress?” Jimin asked, fearing the answer as his heart sank to his stomach. He forgot she could already have a mate and a family.
“No, it was Eonni.” She dropped the smile as she started to recall more details.
“Was it a happy memory?” Namjoon asked.
Her brows had knitted in confusion, eyes darting back and forth like she was looking for the words to read off a book. She then looked up at Yoongi and caught his eyes. “I don’t remember.” She admitted in defeat. “I can’t remember it anymore.” She turned her attention to her meal and stared at it unhappily before poking her fork into the meat and taking a bite. She grimaced at the temperature before her plate was taken away by the quiet Alpha.
The sounds of buttons being hit on the microwave could be heard before the low humming of the machine coming to life started. Her fingers brushed the seams on the bottom of her shirt while she waited for her food to return. “I’m sorry again. I don’t know how I got there. I wish I stayed here.” She frowned again.
“It’s okay darlin’. We just worry when you don’t eat and when it’s hard to get you back to us. Tomorrow I think you should stay inside, perhaps you’re staying in the heat too long.” Namjoon suggested.
If words could slap her then she would be bruised. She loved going outside now, Jimin and Jungkook made her feel safe out there. She hated being inside all day. “It begins with isolation - demons always inhabit desolate places.” She whispered.
Namjoon flinched at her chosen quote, he didn’t mean to upset her. He wanted to reach out to her but instead he looked over to Jimin. Said alpha pulled his phone out and began to look up the words she spoke, this had turned into a habit, he was always checking some of the words she said and linking them to books. They still didn’t understand why or how she was able to keep all these quotes in her head.
“A Familiar Rain by John Geddes.” Jimin spoke as he turned his phone to the doctor so he could see as well. Jimin looked at the collection of quotes from the book and decided to try something. “We fear monsters because we fear the dark parts of ourselves.”
She looked at Jimin, something flashed in her eyes, almost anger or bitterness. “One man’s monster is another man’s beloved. The wise know that.” She pushed her chair away from the table, despite Yoongi walking back with her hot plate. She turned her attention to Namjoon and glared. “If I wanted to imprison someone until the end of days, would it not be best to use a prison that he has no desire to escape?” She tried to be tough but her lower lip trembled and her glare broke into hurt. She quickly left the room despite the three of the four alpha’s calling for her.
“She switched books after I quoted the first one. I’m sorry, I thought it would help. Both quotes she just said were from the same book, The Winter of the Witch.” Jimin looked at Namjoon and noted the other alpha looked defeated. “It will be okay Joon, she’s just a little upset. I’ll talk to her and let her know you weren’t trying to keep her tied inside the house.”
Hoseok piped in. “Maybe we can make tomorrow almost like a pack day. We can make a fort and popcorn, put on some movies and just spend time together. She’ll be so preoccupied with everyone that she won’t pay any mind to the conversation tonight.”
Yoongi stood there watching the three alphas, his tongue stuck in his cheek as he bit back what he wanted to say. He could tell the female was upset with the situation and as much as she wanted to handle it normally, she couldn’t. He turned and left the room, hot plate still in his hand and he made his way to her room.
Once the alpha reached her room he pressed his ear close to the door and listened for any signs of her being in there. Small sobs reached his ears and he sighed before knocking on the door. The crying halted for a moment, before it started again. He knocked once more.
“Please go away.”
Yoongi frowned and decided to try once more. This time he could hear her feet shuffle against the carpet as she walked to the door. It opened slowly, revealing her to him. Whatever words that were about to come from her mouth died on her tongue instead. The door opened wider for him and he stepped past her, walking his way to her desk to place her plate down. He looked around her room and realized it was cold, not in terms of temperature but the room itself was dark and dreary, despite the light purple that was covering the walls. One the bed was heap on fuzzy looking blankets, but they lacked the scent of a pack - which was on purpose as to not scare her but it was pissing him off. In the corner of his eyes he could see her fretting slightly, taking a step forward but then back again and repeating this several times as if trying to talk herself into communicating with him.
“You’re safe, Flittermouse.” The words left his lips causing her to freeze, her eyes shot up to look at him.
“What?” She asked quietly.
“Flittermouse,” he said, leaning against the desk. “Like a little bat who can’t stay still.” Yoongi watched her closely as she slowly processed his words, no doubt stashing them somewhere in her mind. “Come here.” He beckoned her closer.
She listened, stepping quickly but quietly toward him until she was less than arm's length away. “Yes?”
Yoongi reached out and touched her cheek with his hand, wiping a stray tear away before tilting her chin up so she would look him in the eye. With his free hand he grabbed the fork from her plate and gathered a piece of meat from it before popping the bite full in his mouth, letting her see it wasn’t dangerous for her to eat. After swallowing it down he handed her the fork. “Eat.” He released her and turned his attention to her bed again.
The omega blushed at the intensity of the room but listened and took a seat at her desk. As she took the first bite she almost moaned in delight at how much better it tasted. Her eyes followed the alpha as he moved slowly around the room.
“Do you sleep well at night?” He looked back at her for an answer.
She was mid bite when he asked so she started chewing quickly to answer him, covering her mouth with her free hand.
“Easy now, nice and slow. I can wait.”
She did as told and once she could answer him she did so. “Sort of. It takes some time before I can fall asleep.”
“Why is that?”
She shrugged her shoulders. “Always worried they will come.”
Yoongi stopped in his tracks. “Who are they?”
“I don’t know.” She confessed. “Monsters, cloaked in blackness.”
The alpha hmm’d and continued walking around. “You got upset with Namjoon because you don’t want to be locked inside. Am I right?”
The omega lowered her head in shame. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to get mad, but you’re right. I don’t want to be locked in the darkness. I feel like I’ve been locked away for so long, I’ve known the darkness for the longest time.”
There was silence between them and the alpha stared at the omega, watching as her eyes clouded over slightly, lips moving as if she was whispering something before she spoke a little louder. “There were a billion lights out there on the horizon and I knew that all of them put together weren't enough to light the darkness in the hearts of some men.”
He knew immediately that it was another quote, there was no need to look it up like Jimin insisted on doing all the time. “Do you not nest?” He asked, trying to switch the topic.
It worked as her eyes cleared and she shook her head. “Nest?”
“Omega’s normally make a nest with their bedding materials. I’ll have Jungkook and Taehyung help you if you wish. Nesting can help you sleep better. Do you mind if I try something for you tonight?”
“I guess so.” The omega shrugged her shoulders and took another bite of her meal.
Yoongi nodded and walked over to the bed and looked at the fuzzy blankets, picking them up one by one and scenting them all for her. He was surprised to find none of them scented by Namjoon or Jimin. He had figured they would have at least given her one. He came to a blue blanket that smelt the most of her scent and scented it extra well, figuring it was probably the one she wrapped around herself.
The remaining of her meal they stayed silent and once she was done she turned to look at him. “Why did you do that?” She motioned to the blankets.
“I scented them for you. It might help you sleep better.”
“But why did you do it?”
Yoongi shrugged this time. “You remind me of someone a little bit.” He stated as he thought of himself. Namjoon was right, he was broken when he first got here. Not exactly like her but the similarities were enough for him.
“Were they crazy too?”
“I don’t think you’re crazy. I did before. Not now though.” He stood from the bed and walked over to the desk to collect her plate. “Namjoon isn’t trying to lock you in - he just worries that you’ll push yourself too much. Take the day tomorrow, I’m sure Taehyung would be able to help you find something fun to do in the house.” He started to walk toward the door. “Sleep well, Flittermouse.”
She couldn’t help but smile at the nickname as she watched him close the door.
Taehyung as your dog hybrid: BTS imagine
Tumblr media
Imagine Taehyung as your dog hybrid…
.
When I say this boy is right up under your feet…. I mean continously right up under your feet.
You've heard the phrase 'follow you around like a puppy'.
Yeah.
That's Taehyung.
Also, he is literally under your feet all the time.
Like boy will make himself a palette on the floor in front of the couch, lay down and literally whine until you rub his back with your feet or scratch his ears with your toes.
Also, the biggest food person.
Like treats is a huge thing but just like food in general.
He wants you to feed him constantly but also he loves to feed you.
And if you're in the kitchen.
Oh my fucking god.
Like that mother fucker can hear the fridge open outside the house and then suddenly he just appears like houdini out of nowhere.
Has puppy eyes and is not afraid to use them.
Beware.
He knows their power.
He fully utilizes it to get whatever, and I mean WHATEVER, he wants.
Really?  Truthfully?  Honestly?
You never stood a chance.
—---------------
Hey loves! Here's just some cute Taehyung as your dog hybrid!  I hope you enjoyed and I'd love to know your thoughts and if you'd like to see more of this please be sure to let me know! Drink water, stay safe, be kind!
Love, K
____
Jungkook wakes up in the middle of the night, jolted out of sleep by the figure trembling against his body. He looks down at Taehyung, whose face is etched in terror. Distressed whimpers spill from his lips, quiet pleas of “please no” as his nightmares get more and more intense. The wolf tries to pull his packmate closer, tightening his grip to stop the shaking, but it doesn’t do much. He switches tactics, opting to whisper calming words in the man’s ear instead.
“You’re alright hyung. I’m here.”
He keeps repeating the last part, feeling powerless as his hyung’s whimpers turn into full-on sobbing. It’s Jimin who wakes up next, followed soon by the other two. All of them stare with wide, worry-filled eyes as Taehyung struggles against Jungkook’s chest.
Namjoon turns on the lamp, looking around when he sees one less person in bed.
The oldest wolf is nowhere in sight, and the bathroom light isn’t on either.
But there’s no time to wonder about Jin—not when Taehyung’s claws shoot out of from his fingertips, scratching frantically until he’s fully out of Jungkook’s grasp. The feeling of real skin underneath his nails is enough to drag him back to consciousness, eyes now open and processing his surroundings.
Blood.
Claw marks.
His Koo with a pained expression.
It all comes into focus one by one.
“Koo…I’m so sorry…I-I didn’t mean—”
“Shh, it’s okay hyung, it’s alright.” He’s flinching as the wounds sting against his skin.
Jimin swiftly acts, digging through the bedside drawers until he finds the first-aid kit. He carefully peels the bloody shirt off of Jungkook before working on the wounds, holding the pup’s hands as the iodine burns hot against broken flesh.
Namjoon and Hoseok focus on calming Taehyung down, turning him away from the stressful scene to look at them instead.
“Bad dream, huh pup?”
Taehyung nods, tears still pooling around his eyes, “Yes Alpha.”
Hoseok pulls him in close, “You don’t need to tell us about it if you don’t want to.”
Taehyung nods meekly.
Most of the nightmare is a blur, but there are parts he remembers clear as day: the researchers laughing with each strike on his heels…Jimin on the side laughing with them, delighted to see him mess up his duties once again.
Hit him harder. He’s just slowing the pack down. Useless mutt.
Taehyung cringes as Jimin’s voice rings in his ear, so crisp as if it happened in real life.
“I’m so sorry Koo.” He still doesn’t look back, facing Hoseok while apologizing.
“It’s okay hyung, it happens.”
“Are you okay? Should I help?”
Jimin interjects, “I’ve got this Tae, just focus on calming down for now.”
It’s an innocent statement, but anything out of the other caretaker’s mouth is enough to irk Taehyung at the moment.
“I am calm.” He snaps.
The cold front between the two wolves is still as icy as ever, and only Namjoon has it in him to say something.
“That’s not the tone we use to talk to our packmates, Tae.”
“Sorry Alpha.”
“Apologize to Jimin too.”
The wolf bites the inside of his cheek, reluctantly looking back and forcing an apology through gritted teeth.
“Sorry Jimin hyung.”
“It’s okay. You’re just tired.”
Everyone knows that’s a lie.
___
The wolves finally find their oldest the next morning, curled up on the living room sofa with an open book as his pillow. He stirs awake at the sound of feet shuffling in, looking up and realizing he fell asleep while reading.
“You look adorable” Hoseok smiles, “Did you come out here because you couldn’t sleep again?”
Jin nods, getting up and stretching out, body a little stiff after being contorted on the sofa.
“Came out to read, didn’t realize I fell asleep.”
“Looks like it worked, you look cozy snuggled up in that blanket.”
The remark brings the blanket to Jin’s attention. He doesn’t remember ever grabbing it last night, but here he is, wrapped around in the dark blue fabric.
“Don’t freak out, but there was a little accident.” Namjoon recounts what happened, watching Jin’s worried gaze go back and forth between Taehyung and Jungkook.
“I shouldn’t have left. I should’ve helped take care of them.” He groans in frustration.
“It’s okay hyung. We got it handled, and I’m sure we’re all glad you got some sleep.”
The rest nod in agreement, but Jin still holds a bit of guilt in his eyes.
“Is the wound really deep?”
Jungkook shakes his head, “No, it wasn’t even a lot of blood. It was my fault, I should’ve given him space instead of holding him closer.”
“It’s not your fault Koo, I lost control. It’s all me.”
“It’s no one’s fault. Now we know to give Tae his space if it ever happens again.”
“Exactly, thank you Jinnie” Namjoon holds out his hand to ruffle the older wolf’s head, glad to have someone like Jin help lead the pack. Jin tilts his head back, leaning into the touch. It’s instinctive when the Alpha dips down, meeting his packmate’s lips for a chaste peck on the lips.
The moment isn’t lost on anyone in the room. Such a simple, domestic peck that screams “I love you.” It’s a gesture that the two haven’t shared in over three months, but still feels as natural as ever now.
The sight has hope wriggling its way into Jimin’s heart.
Things are slowly going back to normal. Taehyung and I will go back too. Everything will be alright.
It’s the first time since they’ve entered the house that the hybrids slept in late, and the first time breakfast is already waiting for them. The caretaker hybrids can’t help but profusely apologize, which you dismiss immediately, telling them you’re glad they’re getting more rest. Namjoon almost tells you about how little they actually slept, but decides it better to keep your good mood intact.
Jin can’t help but glance over at Yoongi throughout breakfast, but thankfully no one, not even Yoongi, notices. No matter how hard he tries, he just can’t understand why the man would bring him a blanket. He’s not his packmate, and he’s not someone Jin’s on the best terms with, so why?
It’s even more puzzling when the two of them reach for the last rolled omelet at the same time, and Yoongi retracts his chopsticks immediately.
“No please, take it. Humans first.” Jin says, pushing the plate towards the man.
The phrase causes a stare from both you and Yoongi, making Jin feel small.
“That’s not a thing here Jin.” You speak up.
“S-sorry.” He timidly takes the piece, watching to make sure Yoongi isn’t pissed off.
Yoongi’s response isn’t one Jin is prepared for,
“Do you like it?”
The hybrid nods.
Yoongi flashes the smallest smile, “It’s one of the few things I make well.”
Jin doesn’t know why, but his cheeks heat up as he bites into the omelet under Yoongi’s gaze.
___
“I’m really okay hyung.” Jungkook assures, holding his hands above his head as his packmate lifts his shirt off, stripping each piece of clothing until the youngest is fully bare.
“But I still feel bad, so let me take care of you pup.”
Jungkook doesn’t protest any further, getting into the bath and watching fondly as his packmate shakes off his clothes to do the same. He makes room as Taehyung sinks into the water behind him, pulling the younger one’s back flush against his chest.
Jungkook’s eyes flutter as Taehyung runs his fingers through his hair, carefully massaging his scalp with a decent amount of shampoo.
“Feel good Koo?”
“Mhmm, really good.”
Taehyung smiles at the way Jungkook gets lost in his touch, letting out low hums of contentment on occasion.
“Hyung”
“Yes Koo?”
“Was the nightmare really scary?”
Taehyung stiffens at the memory,
“It was.”
“Was it about the lab?”
“Yeah.”
“Well then no one in that nightmare can hurt you anymore. We’re far away from them, so don’t worry.”
Taehyung doesn’t answer, giving Jungkook’s hair a slight tug to get the boy lost back into the sensation—desperate to escape the conversation. It works, as Jungkook all but dozes off.
___
“You’ve been doing really well with eating Hobi, looking a lot healthier” you smile, curling up on the opposite side of the couch as him.
His face beams at the compliment, “Thank you!”
“I’m sure it’s been hard.”
“Sometimes,” he chuckles nervously, “it feels wrong to eat as much as everyone else. But I’m learning it’s not.”
“I’m really glad. Is there anything you need from me? I’m happy to help with anything.”
“Um…there is one thing…do you think you could take me out somewhere? I know you and Namjoon went for a walk, and he said it was really nice. But it’s okay if you’re too busy!” Your heart swells at the nervous request. If there’s one thing you’ve learned, it’s that Hoseok is the worst when it comes to asking you for things, so this is a big win in your book. You’re finally getting somewhere with him.
“I’m actually taking Taehyung to an art store after he washes up. If you want to tag along, we’d be more than happy to have you.”
“Yes yes yes!”
His enthusiasm has you almost laughing, but you catch yourself, not wanting him to think he’s being laughed at for saying something wrong.
“Can everyone go? It can be a group trip!”
You’re smile falters for a second, “As much as I’d like that, I don’t think I can take all six of you there at the same time.”
Hoseok understands, people wouldn’t exactly be happy at the sight of six wolf hybrids out and about—even if leashed.
“I get it.”
“Sorry sweetheart.”
“No no, it’s okay. Thank you for inviting me. Are you sure it’s okay, though? Even two wolves are enough to scare people.”
“Two should be fine, you leave worrying about all of that to me.”
As if on cue, Taehyung walks in, all giddy and ready to go out.
“Hobi’s joining us.”
Taehyung jumps in excitement, urging his hyung to go get ready quick so they can get there sooner.
The store is everything Taehyung could dream of and more, with every type of paint in every color imaginable lining the shelves. He’s like a kid in a candy store with the way he bounces around from aisle to aisle, and you’re sure that you would’ve lost him three seconds in if not for the leash.
“He’s really in his element” you laugh.
“Painting used to be his favorite thing in the world. There weren’t a lot of places that sold paint to us though, so we couldn’t indulge him like this. He’s in paradise right now.”
The statement makes you wonder how exactly they lived before all of this. You’ve seen news segments on hybrid communities, how they had their own currencies and hierarchies. Lower percentage hybrids were captured by humans and sold off pretty quickly, but the higher percentage ones found a way to create their own society.
Hoseok thinks back to those days too, reminiscing how good everything used to be. They were thankful everyday for the genetic lottery they had won—being not only wolf hybrids, but a high enough percentage for no human to ever try to capture them. His pack was truly the apex of their society, until humanity’s greed ripped it all from their hands. Now he’s here, on a leash with a head full of trauma that he can’t escape.
The cart fills up quick, partly because you tell him “get both” every time Taehyung asks you to choose between art supplies.
Everything’s going well until Taehyung’s excitement gets the better of him, accidentally knocking over a little boy in the canvas aisle. It’s a soft bump, but it does cause the boy, looking no older than twelve, to fall back. He’s shaking in fear as the wolf reaches out to give him a hand. Taehyung quickly realizes he’s not making the situation better and steps back, making himself small as he interlocks fingers with Hoseok. You step up to the front and offer your hand instead, pulling the boy up while making sure there’s no bruises or scrapes anywhere.
“So sorry about that, he’s just excited. Are you hurt?”
“It’s o-okay. I’m not h-hurt.”
“Excuse me, what the hell is going on?” A shrill voice asks, new figure emerging from the aisle over and yanking you away from the boy instantly.
It’s obvious she’s his mother, and you’re quick to explain the situation.
“If you can’t control your hybrids in public then you should leave them at home. My kid got hurt because of you.”
You put on your fake smile once again, trying to resolve this as quickly and quietly as to not make the hybrids anxious.
“He doesn’t look hurt anywhere Ma’am. I’ve apologized to him already, so I think it’s best we all continue with our shopping.”
She eyes you up and down, gaze lingering on your Prada purse and Gucci belt.
“Nonsense, your unruly wolf pushed my baby down. It’s only fair you compensate us.”
 Taehyung grips Hoseok’s hand tighter, unable to believe he messed up again.
You scoff, understanding exactly what kind of person this mother was.
“Compensate? For a small incident where no one got hurt? You’re not making sense Ma’am.”
“If I say my kid is hurt, then he is. Unless you want a complaint sent to Hybrid Control, I would find a good amount to make it up to us.”
Both the hybrids lose color at the mention of Hybrid Control…Hybrid Control complaints gave the government authority to take away hybrids deemed “dangerous to society.” It’s a case by case situation, but a complaint against a 40% wolf would no doubt lead Taehyung to being caged up.
You’re aware of this too, as you quickly open your banking app at the mention of the authorities. It takes a second after the woman puts her information in your phone for you to recognize it.
“Gong Hye Sun…you’re not, by chance, wife of Ha-jun, are you?”
She raises a brow, “You know my husband?”
Your mouth twists into a different smile this time, going from fake nice to condescending in a second.
“I’m his boss. Shin Y/N, nice to meet you.”
That changes the conversation entirely. Hye Sun steps back, heart racing at realizing who she’s talking to. Shin Y/N. The name she’s heard a thousand times from her husband’s lips—the name that determined when his next bonus was, if he was on the newest projects, if he had a promotion lined up, and everything else that their family aspired for. She takes back her words at the speed of light.
“I didn’t mean to—”
“Sure you didn’t,” you roll your eyes “I hope you don’t carelessly threaten Hybrid Control in the future. It’s not cute. Transferred some pocket money because I’m feeling nice. Get the boy some ice cream or something. Now, if you’ll excuse us.”
You brush past her, Taehyung and Hoseok trailing with relieved expressions.
“Why do I always mess things up?” Taehyung sighs, locking his seatbelt in as you start the car.
“It was just an accident, Tae.” Hoseok assures, giving his hand a squeeze.
“It doesn’t matter if it’s an accident or not. I’m always the one causing trouble.”
“Relax darling, you’re a lot better than I was at twenty-three.”
“You’re just saying that to make me feel better.”
“I’m not! You can google it once you get home. I was a real piece of work before I inherited the company. There’s probably five hundred articles of me embarrassing myself at parties or events. If you ever feel like a fuck-up, read those and you’ll feel better in no time.”
You spend the rest of the ride telling them about your past, prompting the youngest into bouts of laughter every time you mention a drunk partying fiasco. Taehyung doesn’t even realize that he’s too busy laughing to do his usual routine of mental degradation after a mistake.
___
The day goes by with everyone shuffling in and out of the study, watching in awe as Taehyung works in his element. He’s got all the reference pictures of your grandmother in front of him, doing rough sketches and beginning the underpainting process. It’s mesmerizing, seeing a new layer on the canvas every time you peek your head in. You do drag him out for lunch and dinner this time, telling him he can’t eat while painting.
It's when Jin is wiping down the dining table does Yoongi speak to him again.
“Hope you weren’t too cold last night. It was the only blanket I could find.”
Jin looks around paranoid, making sure his pack is too preoccupied to overhear Yoongi’s words. The man catches on quickly.
“You don’t want them to know?”
Jin keeps his eyes at the table, avoiding eye contact. All the hybrids had agreed to keep a united front, making sure to let you know that they’re on your side when it comes to you and Yoongi. It’s not much, but just keeping him company made Jin feel guilty…maybe because of just how much he liked it. It was nice to have a reading buddy. The only other packmate who likes to read is Namjoon, and he prefers to do it alone. It’s a simple thing, reading with someone else present, knowing you’re both immersed in your own worlds while sitting next to each other—simple yet so nice.
Yoongi leans in, “It can be our secret, don’t worry.”
He walks away nonchalantly, not knowing that it’s the second time he’s made Jin’s cheeks burn today.
It’s 11pm when all the hybrids in their room—even Taehyung, who Namjoon had to pry away from his paints. The wolves are getting ready to tuck themselves in for the night, leaving you and Yoongi alone in the living room. You watch as he sets up his laptop in a corner, getting ready for an emergency meeting. He’d asked you to stay and listen in from the side, making it one less thing he has to write in a recap email. It feels odd, though, being alone with him for this amount of time. The awkwardness weighs heavily on both of you.
The meeting starts in a frenzy, as much as any other emergency meeting. It’s not uncommon in the field you’re in, not even when it’s 11pm on a Sunday. In the world of venture capitalism, the work doesn’t sleep, and neither do the workers. You listen in closely as your COO, Minhyun talks through the screen, calmly addressing everyone’s concerns and weighing in on the best course of action. It makes you more jealous than you care to admit, the way he commands a room with such a level-headed demeanor. Yoongi’s words creep back into your brain, reminding you of how much better the office is without your presence. You wonder if Shin Investments would perform better under someone like Minhyun—if you’re just not competent enough.
It’s 2am when a course of action is determined, the call full of tired businessmen all ready to hang up. All except one of the board members, whose voice you recognize as Mr. Yoo, who’s still somehow in the mood to gossip after a three hour meeting.
“It must be nice to be Miss Shin right now, going on vacation with six hybrids while the rest of us are here working long nights on a weekend.”
Yoongi looks over, telling you to be calm with his gaze alone. He knows you’re itching to give some biting remark and put Yoo back in his place, but the last thing either you or him need right now is people finding out you’re living together. Thankfully, you’re on the same page, biting back your tongue and remaining silent off-screen.
“Miss Shin hasn’t taken a vacation day off since she started here. I’m sure she’s earned to sleep through a couple more nights.”
Yoongi watches as Yoo’s facial expressions change, clearly not expecting anyone to defend you.
“Sure, sure. Just a little obnoxious to use it this way, isn’t it? I mean, it’s not like she has a family trip or emergency. Three whole weeks to have an orgy with wolf hybrids…” His smirk is especially sleazy at that part, causing other bursts of laughter to erupt from the meeting, “it’s just not very ladylike.”
Your knuckles are paper-white as you clutch the side of your chair, using every ounce of restraint in your body to not berate the man through the camera. Yoongi seems equally upset, as his response comes across even more annoyed than before.
“If I recall, Mr. Yoo, you’ve taken three vacations for honeymoons in the past two years alone. Three honeymoons in two years…I wonder how long the newest marriage will last. Why don’t we bet on it?”
“Mr. Min! Watch it.”
“My bad, I thought it was open floor to comment on our coworkers’ personal lives today.”
That one gets a laugh out of Minhyun.
“Alright alright, that’s enough. Mr. Yoo, just because Y/N isn’t here doesn’t mean I’ll tolerate such remarks towards her. I’ll give you a warning this time, but any further instances will land you straight to HR. And Mr. Min, let’s refrain from personal comments as well. Now, it’s been a long day and we should all get some sleep. Goodnight everyone.”
It’s only when Yoongi closes his laptop do you talk again,
“Thank you…for speaking up for me.”
“Always.”
It’s silent as he packs up his bag. Your expression is sour, and it’s clear you’re still bothered. He almost doesn’t say anything—fearing you’re not in a place to have proper conversations with him yet—but he can’t let you spiral in your thoughts alone.
“You can’t let sleazy comments like that get to you, Y/N.”
“It’s not Yoo’s comment that I’m thinking about.”
“Then what is it?”
You hang your head in resignation. “Minhyun would make a better CEO than me.”
“That’s not true.”
“Yes it is. He’s excellent.”
It’s reflexive the way Yoongi’s at your side at the first sign of you doubting yourself.
“Shin Y/N, ever since you’ve taken over the company, profit margin has increased by 15% and stock value by 6%. There is no reason for you to be doubting or comparing your abilities.”
“It’s not just about numbers, though, is it? He’s also kind and everyone seems to like and respect him.”
“And who says you can’t be kind?”
You look at him with a questioning brow raise, “You did. Very clearly when you told me how much happier the office is without me.”
He takes one of your hands, clasping it between his own to pull you face-to-face. You expect him to let go, but he doesn’t, and you don’t try to get away either.
“I never said you can’t be. I just said you need to try harder, and I’m standing by that statement.”
You scoff, “That’s easier said than done, you know?”
“Since when has something being too hard ever stopped you from trying?”
You hold his gaze, realizing he does have a point. It’s the first time you’re not getting fully defensive about the subject, and Yoongi takes that as a win in itself.
“They’ll call me a weak little girl the second I start, Yoongi.” The vulnerability is clear in your voice.
“Maybe they will, but we both know you’re not. There’s not one thing those men can do or say to take away from how competent you are—but, as long as they can make you insecure like this, they’ll be the ones who have all the power.”
You look down, words taking a moment to soak into your brain. The way he’s holding your hand feels strange…intimate in a way it’s never felt before.
“Will you really stay by my side through everything?”
“I will. I promise.”
“Gross.”
Maybe he feels a bit adrift, but he's a young penguin hybrid, supposedly in his prime, far from his crèche. At least he's good at one thing: taking care of his precious egg. A comfort egg, not a real egg, he's not a real penguin, just a man with penguin DNA and behavioral tendencies. Just like Yoongi isn't actually an owl, even if he does stay up all night and sometimes hoot to fuck with their roommates. But this is a real love story, even if a slightly odd one.
Summary : Wrong place, wrong time, wrong everything. And yet, maybe it's not as bad as you thought.
One-shot :
Idealizations concerning real life relations @venusiangguk
If i told you || two-shots || @gukyi
Summary : in order to pay for university, jeon jungkook decides to market his most valuable asset to the wealthy socialites of campus: himself. donning a suit and tie, tousled hair, and glasses (to look smarter), he becomes every rich daughter’s dream: the perfect boyfriend to bring to balls, dinners, and business gatherings. all while you watch from the sidelines, only able to dream of having that much money to buy yourself what you really want: him.
Scattered stars || two-shots || @taegularities
Welcome to the heartbreak show @numinousher
Summary : you’re in love with your partner in class that everyone fears (and loves) due to his stoic facial expression and the way he rejects girls rather harshly. as you get to know him, will he be able to handle your heart that you so willingly gave him to care for or, will he break it due to his hatred for people who are in love with him?
In which she's done with him @minstrivia
Summary : Jungkook angst/fluff where he always pushes oc away (who confesses her feelings but was cruelly rejected) and insults her but she always comes back to take care of him when he’s drunk or picks him up from his one night stands and she finally decides to leave him alone !! happy ending!
Angel in the marble @venusjeon
Summary : after you fail to pickpocket him, the famous yet arrogant artist Jeon Jungkook takes you off the streets to make you his servant, and the more you know him, the more you realise he's not as detestable as everyone claims he is.
i can't wait to tell you, "i told ya'." @serendipitous-seven
Summary: Jeon Jungkook is a successful realtor with a big house, a nice car, colorful dating life, and a spunky 7-year-old daughter to boot…he’s also your best friend who you used to be in love with. Of course, he was never made aware because you swear it’s all in the past…until it isn’t. But going on a cruise with Jungkook and his daughter whom you adore should be harmless. Absolutely nothing can go wrong…Right?
Los Angeles Laker @xpeachesncream
Summery : being one of the most popular players in the nba, jungkook takes absolutely no shit from anybody. he could give a fuck about the press, what people think about him, serious relationships. it’s a personal hell getting wrapped up with jeon jungkook— and you can’t help but fall into the same trap as every other woman who crosses paths with him. the more you fall, the more you realize that you will never be able to change a man who doesn’t want to change his ways.
Red was all you saw, accompanied by small black dots in your vision. The loud ringing sounds and crushing harsh thump to your chest was too much for you to process. In what seemed like a far distance you could hear your name being called. The person's voice was soft, sweet, and full of care, yet it held a desperate tone to it.
“Y/n” The voice called out. Letting out a wheezy cough as they attempted to talk again. Nothing, the woman's voice was strained as her windpipe was being crushed by the head of the seat. Blood rushed to her head as she couldn’t think straight. Though her mind was focused on one thing in the world, her daughter…
Across the globe somewhere in the different parts of Korea. Seven boys felt the searing pain of their chest caving in. It felt like someone had their foot digging into their chest not willing to let up. The air felt thick and hard to swallow. Everything was fuzzy as a burning pain shot through them with a sudden sickness as if it was rushing to their blood, was rushing to their heads.
Parents were panicked, yet knew what was happening. The connection of a soul bond was being forced to awaken. The threat that one soul mate wouldn’t survive put the other in panic, yearning to be close to one another.
Though that was 7 years ago, The seven males all found their way to each other in many different ways. In hopes, they were the missing piece(s) to each other's lives. They became a pack of many different backgrounds with one simple goal.
To love and feel complete. For a while they did, but none of the seven boys could deny the empty feeling that something..someone was missing. So they took action and started to climb the charts. If it’s one thing they learned is that people with money could find anything and anyone.
But perhaps that’s not always the case. Some things are just right under your nose.
