hehe, idea time. one shot idea maybe :P

warden hybrid tommy not yet quite fully developing the abilites but had gained bright blue stripes. people think its just paint. one day someone catches him munching away on some skulk with a around five wardens watching over him.

they know everyone on the server it seems. they can sense the tiny wardens heart beat. they can tell the difference between exited and petrified.

one day, he takes them to las nevadas where dream just so happens to decide to come back to after the whole thing with quackity after hearing from punz that tommy has gained hybrid traits only to be met with the full force of five VERY protective wardens.

people learn to try and get on tommys good side after the word spreads fast. he doesn mind all too much if it means he is left alone. when he gains his ability to punch things far and scream at people thus forcing them fifty blocks back he decides its time to go on an adventure.

the first person he meets? jimmy of the mesa. he sees a bit of him inside the sherrif and decides to stick around. the wardens learn that this man is okay and makes tommy calm. so when joel rocks up to disrupt the nice peace... well. another world knows that there is somone able to speak with wardens. and he backs off from jimmy until he can meet the kid with the wardens.

Whumptober Day 14

No. 14 DIE A HERO OR LIVE LONG ENOUGH TO BECOME A VILLAIN Desperate Measures | Failed escape | “I’ll be right behind you.” RPF: Tommy wakes up in pain, it means something more than health problems though.

Tommy wakes up to a pain splitting his skull in half. He can barely move without it pulsing and prodding at his temples. His first thought is that he’s dying. This is the kind of pain we’re talking about. Worse than a migraine, worse than anything he’s ever felt.

His mother wakes up to a pained yell coming from his room and rushes in to help him. His father too, blinking sleep from his eyes, goes to save his little boy.

The pain lingers. And with no apparent cause that either of them could easily remove.

Tommy’s mother gives him pain medicine, but it only lessens the pain, not removes it. His father gives him a cold pack for his head, but once again it doesn’t help fully.

Worst of all the pain spreads to his spine, rendering him immobile in bed, only writhing in pain at the slightest twitch of his muscles.

He’s barely functioning and it scares him, scares them.

They call a doctor.

As the pain lingers the doctor checks Tommy over carefully. He takes blood tests. He goes away.

He comes back with news that makes Tommy’s head ache even more.

A hybrid mutation. A latent type hidden in his genes from a distant relative. In simple terms he’s growing ears, maybe a tail. Who knows what else. It’s unclear what kind of hybrid he is, testing is expensive… but his mother shakily tells the doctor they’ll pay whatever is needed to know how to help Tommy better. Anything for her baby boy.

The doctor gives him stronger pain medication and leaves him on bed rest, all while his head spins.

A hybrid. What an impossibility. What a joke. What a… nightmare.

He can’t just… He can’t be a hybrid. He can’t be. He can’t be. Hybrids are filthy, hybrids are worse than humans, hybrids have all those animal instincts that make them dangerous and wild… He can’t be one. It’s impossible. He has two human parents, he has four human grandparents. It’s impossible.

Yet the pain in his spine and head make him face reality.

He’s a hybrid. Holy fuck. His life will change, that’s for sure. Good thing he dropped out of college, switching schools would be a pain in the ass. But… There are other things he has to think about. His career will surely take a hit. Not many creators are willing to work with hybrids. Not many editors will be willing to work for him. He wonders what his friends will say. How many of them will cut contact with him. He wonders and his head pounds mercilessly.

He’s so tired. He’s so scared.

He sleeps.

When he wakes up the pain is even worse somehow, but… different. His hands automatically come up to his head and he shakes in disbelief as he feels two fluffy ears sticking out of it.

He’s… Oh god, he’s actually a hybrid.

He raises from the bed, and feels an additional appendage swinging behind him. A tail.

Disgust wells inside him as he shakily makes his way towards the bathroom. He looks into the mirror and blanches at the sight.

His ears look like raccoon’s. At least that’s something his fans got right when drawing him before. It’s a bitter thought. He was overjoyed when seeing fanart of his character as a hybrid, but this… this disgusts him.

His brain scrambles for an answer to the unasked question, for a solution to the unsaid riddle.

And suddenly he finds it.

With new vigour in his limbs he goes back to his room and takes his scissors. He goes back in front of the mirror.

And he cuts.

piglin Techno got irrationally irritated every time Tommy ate one of his golden apples postexile week, since it registered as stealing gold to his instincts. Well it was, since Tommy kept robbing his chests, but Techno held back the instinct to obliterate him since they’re supposedly partners now.

The first time Techno realized his feelings towards Tommy had shifted was when he caught himself handing Tommy golden apples whenever he thought the boy was hungry. Which was always, since humans were so tiny and Tommy especially was bone thin after exile. Well, Techno shrugged, deliberately ignoring the implications. Not like he wanted a weak partner. He’s just trying to beef Tommy up. That’s all. Yuuuup.
