hi help
let me preface this with an explanation that my general practitioner is currently 2+ hours away and the doctor that is referring me to my neuro and stuff is my rheumatologist (💘💕💗💖) because i recently moved so i dont think she can help me and basically it’ll be a little complicated to see a dr soon
every time i lift my shoulder more than 90 degrees and then put it down i see hear and feel it pop out of socket, most likely subluxing or dislocating it and it is not only annoying but it looks gross and will occasionally make my shoulder sore and it even pops out while raising my hand or reaching for something or lifting stuff heavier than like 3lbs. my left shoulder has begun to do it too and at certain times makes this gross cracking noise.
tl;dr: my right shoulder subluxes (albeit not very painfully) dozens of times every day and i’m tired of it - does anyone have any suggestions? any quick fix for recurring subluxations i.e. sling, ace bandage, particular brace to make it stop?

It is Ehlers Danlos Syndrome awareness month, so you'll probably see a few more EDS related posts from me this month. There are 13 types of EDS. I have hypermobile EDS (hEDS) which is the most common types and has many similarities to hypermobile spectrum disorders (hsd). #Repost @pawsomepurrtraits (@get_repost) ・・・ As some of you may know I have what’s now known as Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome which is a disorder causing loose painful joints, fatigue plus many more symptoms. It’s EDS awareness month and to highlight this I will be completing my 50 state drawing challenge portraits in black and white, look out for these special pictures over the month! . . . #artistsoninstagram #zebra #zebrawarrior #butyoudontlooksick #invisibleillness #thinkzebra #blackandwhite #eds #heds #ehlersdanlossyndrome #ehlersdanlos #hypermobilitysyndrome #hypermobility #hypermobileehlersdanlossyndrome #edsawareness #edsawarenessmonth #hypermobilejoints #edszebra #edsawarenessmonth #hypermobileehlersdanlos #edszebrawarriors #edszebras #hypermobile #edszebrasuppport #awareness #hypermobileeds #hypermobilityawareness #hypermobilityspectrumdisorder #awarenessmonth

me: aw man my old sports injury is acting up
you, an intellectual: you subluxed your shoulder on halloween while limbo dancing and now you did it again while bending over to pick up a cat

In reference to my last post, you can literally see the days I’ve been down by how little I walked, as low as 4-5,000 steps, and the days I’ve felt a bit better, like today.
