Rating how comfortable all the beds in botw look
PART THREE
Side note - wow, 2 posts in one day?? anyways, I've been thinking about writing a fic that's been on my mind lately and posting it here
Rito Village Bed 2
8/10 - would recommend
◍Comfy
◍Cute
◍would still smell like bird seed (bird food 👁️👁️) tho
◍Reliable bedframe
Cabin beds
3/10 - would recommend if desperate
◍Safety issue because random ass people could just walk in at any time
◍would be warm and cozy, though
◍Cute bedsheets but NOT fresh
◍Smells like sweat and mud
◍Bed bug and lice breeding ground
Korok Bed
100000/10 - WOULD ALWAYS RECOMMEND
◍PERFECT BED
◍10/10
◍FREE
◍THANK YOU PEPP
Gerudo Town Bed
9/10 - would highly recommend
◍Firm but comfortable mattress
◍bedsheets always fresh
◍A gerudo would realistically be able to fit on here
◍only one point deduction because of no duvet
Riju's Bed
0/10 - would not wish on my worst enemy
◍It's not that the bed itself is uncomfortable, it's actually the best bed in gerudo town
◍but omg if Buliara catches you
◍start praying
◍seriously
◍she would kill you in your sleep, no hesitation
◍very small though, so definitely did not belong to Urbosa or Ganondorf
◍rijus bed would be like a goddamn footrest to Ganondorf
Isn't he like 10'5 in totk? Nobody tell me, I don't want spoilers pls 😭😭
Princess Zelda's Bed
0/10 - would not recommend in the slightest
◍It's broken.
◍Why would you want to sleep on a broken bed??
◍Unless you want a silver moblin bestie, don't.
◍Just dont.

Do you have a Ganondorf pov for the fealty swearing scene when he sees link and Zelda through the window?
SO!! Yes and No, and I'm so so sorry because you activated my trap card and this is one of my favorite things and I need to talk about how great this scene is in terms of narrative design.
So, in OoT, that is (as far as I know) not a scene of him pledging fealty. It was referenced in that scene in TotK, but in OoT, Zelda's dialogue indicates that he's already sworn allegiance to her father by then, and she's warned her father about her dreams, which he does not believe.
But in terms of narrative it is so economical and successful in introducing the villain and very subtly setting up your expectations for him. He's on screen for what, ten seconds? But between that and Zelda's dialogue, that very short scene tells us, the player, the two key factors:
1 - Because he's already sworn fealty, he is at the castle for an audience with the king, and if he is walking into the chamber when you arrive in the garden, it means Ganondorf got to Hyrule just before we, the player, did, which sets up the recurring story point that Ganondorf is always one step ahead of you.
2 - Him looking over at the window tells us, the audience, that he can see us. He doesn't know who Link is, as a person, in the game, but as the player, he's aware of us, and he will continue to be perfectly aware of us and exactly what we're doing throughout the remainder of the game, to the point that he uses it against us.
And I know this is absolutely NOT what you asked but I love narrative design so much, and when it comes to establishing things very quickly, this is one of my favorite scenes to reference, because as long-winded as the legend explainers are, they set up Ganondorf's mechanic within the narrative so quickly and effectively, and I just love it to death.
But I will have to draw both his fealty scene and his pov of the window scene separately at some point, yes lol

Trying so hard to not start fic writing before I've even finished the game but I want so so bad to write a time travel fic where post totk wild gets sent back to pre calamity hyrule in the middle of a lynel or gleeok fight, like he's just covered in monster blood and guts with a mishmash of armour pieces (at least one barbarian piece) hair long and tangled, scars all over, wielding a ridiculously huge savage lynel spear tipped with dragon claw and dripping sizzling blood. Smoke coming off him. Arm looking half rotted.
In the middle of the throne room.
Several particularly delicate lords and ladies faint. All the guards are pointing spears. He nearly takes someone's eye out before realising where he is.
Once he realises when he is it becomes a race of time to make the right waves before zelda comes to pick him up.

I keep seeing Hyrule angst fics where he worries about Ganon being revived using his blood, or he gets kidnapped by monsters/yiga to be used in some ritual. (Which I love an unhealthy amount! I'm not saying this trope is bad.)
However I think it would be absolutely hilarious if it actually happened. I mean think about it. Ganon gets revived and is gloating about how he's going to take over the world. Hyrule in tears because he thinks he's failed.
Then the door busts down and there stands eight angry heroes. Who have all individually defeated Ganon, or his equivalent.
Like. They would curb stop the man in ten minutes, tops.

I have another LoZ theme park playlist for you all! This one--a collection of themes used in the games to represent princesses and other gentle or elegant female characters (and one or two males)--is for Hyrule Castle Gardens, a peaceful garden area where people can hang out, admire flowers and topiaries, and just soak up some soft, pretty ambience. I firmly believe that theme parks need quiet nooks like this so you're not always go-go-going from one thrill ride to the next, wearing yourself out.

I love the idea that Ganondorf gives serious side eye to anyone wearing green he sees while setting a new plan in motion.
Like his internal monologue is just "Oh he thinks he's being SO subtle, sneaking around breaking pots and talking to the princess. Look at that pointy eared green fuck. I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE UP TO BOY! DON'T THINK YOU CAN PULL THAT WIND WAKER SHIT WITH ME AGAIN!"
Meanwhile it's just Barnum, the postman's boy, wearing his favorite green tunic and white leggings. Never to set foot out of his hometown, let alone go on a grand quest to defeat the king of evil.

I think abt Twilight Princess’s Hyrule so much it’s not even funny. It’s soooooo fuckin weird and I love it.
There are inexplicable chasms. Everywhere. What’s beyond them? There’s no ocean, the biggest (and only) body of water is lake hylia. The entire continent seems to be a plateau. There are mostly hylians but also just Normal Actual Humans in Ordon village. Where did the humans come from/disappear to? There’s a secret resistance, but it’s unclear what they’re resisting. The Gerudo desert exists. It is walled off for some reason and you have to access it via canon. The Gerudo themselves are just fucking gone. This is probably because the Hyrulean royal family committed genocide. The only signs of them are at the Hyrulean royal family’s off-site prison/execution grounds. They had a dinosaur at the off-site prison/execution grounds. What were they doing with the dinosaur?? There are four provinces, of which the main three are named after the three golden goddesses, and their respective light spirits. Are these light spirits the goddesses? Servants? Something else? They do not make another appearance in any other game (to my knowledge), so we don’t know. The fourth province is named “ordonna”, after the light spirit, ordonna. What is ordonna? She is completely omitted from the creation story interloper section. Is she not important? She’s literally never mentioned again in any other game, she doesn’t even have a mountain or hill in botw. Was she just so good at minding her own business that when like. Calamity Ganon showed up for the first time, she just took her whole province and peaced out??? Is she just the fourth goddess before skyward sword lore made hylia the main goddess and removed all significance from the other three???
