Sangyeon:

Livid. Anytime they make backhanded compliments or just straight up rude remarks, he’d have to leave the room to calm down. Tries explain to you that your friends aren’t great for you, but never forces you to take action. He just hopes he can show you how to appreciate yourself.

Jacob:

Has no idea what to do. At first he didn’t take a lot of the things your friends said to heart, he assumed they were just joking around. The third or fourth time they all came over and tricked you into doing something that made you uncomfortable again, he’d take a stand. He suddenly has a speech prepared and everything.

Younghoon:

Confused. Friends don’t act like this what’s going on? Why are they being mean? Why are they being mean to my person? Why are all of them even here? I can’t even remember her name. If I ask to leave n never meet these people agin will you get mad?

Hyunjae:

Awkward. Just fake laughs and glances at you with an expression that says wtf. Doesn’t cause a scene infront of anyone, talks to you in private. Will throughly explain what is messed up about the whole situation.

Juyeon:

Just as gullible. Truly a match made in heaven because both of you have no idea what going on really. Sangyeon canes and explains to both of you why the whole scenario is messed up because Juyeon mentioned something in passing.

Kevin:

Refuses to hang out with them. Puts his foot down, talking about how they are so mean to you. Has other people weigh in so it doesn’t sound like he is trying to control you, but after your mom also agrees you kinda get the point. #1 protector.

New:

Will ask the friends to leave and not return. “If you can’t respect y/n then you shouldn’t have the privilege of being around them.” Tells them all to hurry so he can disinfect the house.

Loses his mind. Yells at people, calls them names, tells them how horrible they are, convinces one friend to join a cult, you name it. He hears one rude remark or one attempt to trick you he’s lost his plot. Probably hides you behind him.

Ju Haknyeon:

Just straight grabs your hand and leaves. No explanation, just leaves. He’ll explain it to you on the car ride home. Your friends start inviting you out less and less since he’ll be there to defend you. Cold.

Sunwoo:

Fights fire with fire. They say something rude, he’s 10x worse. They try tricking you, he finds a way to set their pants on fire. He’s fun and loving but there’s a line. Will make sure everyone knows he knows what they are up too.

Eric:

Cries over it. He gets so mad that he can’t control his tears when he’s explaining to you how terrible your friends are. Tried collecting himself, but you make it worse by apologizing. Soft baby.

HIDDEN DESIRES

SUMMARY - yn spends two months overseas filming for her upcoming drama much to her toxic boyfriend's dislike. When she returned, she had planned on surprising her bf however he surprised her first, with another woman, a friend to be exact. A broken heart, a ruined self-esteem and with no where to go she seeks her brother's help.

CHAPTER 5 - Movie Night

The downstairs dorm living room was in absolute chaos as 11 men, including yourself, tried to figure out the seating arrangement for this movie night. It also didn’t help that during dinner there had been a high amount of alcoholic beverages consumed so half of you were far from sober.

You finally settled at being sandwiched between Juyeon and Hyunjae, the latter had his arm around your shoulder and a beer in his other hand. Originally you had wanted to sit next to Sunwoo, to test out if he really was that fan account and to see if he had feelings for you but you chickened out last minute.

“Pillows there.” Sangyeon pointed at the floor around the coffee table that was littered with snacks.

Jacob and Kevin scattered the pillows across the floor, taking their seats on the floor next to each other with their backs leaning against the legs of who sat at the big sofa in the middle of the living room: Chanhee, Haknyeon, Changmin and Eric.

Across from you, on the small 2 seater couch near the door that lead to the hallway was Sunwoo, like he said he would be, and Younghoon.

“Everyone got drinks and snacks?” Changmin grabbed the TV remote as a unison ‘yes’ was heard across the room “Let’s start it then.”

The whole living room went dark as the opening credits started playing, the eerie music already making the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end. You took small sips of your drink, your eyes darting from the screen to Sunwoo , his arms crossed as he sat with his legs spread, his full attention on the movie.

It was better this way, at least until you figured out if whatever you were feeling for him was real or if you just liked the attention he had been giving you for the past few days. But surely if that was the case you would be throwing yourself at half of your friends by now.

Sunwoo looked effortlessly handsome in just a black plain tee and joggers, which made it worse for you because you shouldn’t even be considering being attracted to him.

That was a path you would rather not go down again.

“You’re staring.” You felt Hyunjae’s breathe fan across your cheek as he whispered in your ear.

You turned your head to look at him, your nose brushing against his from how close his face was making you chuckle lightly. Your hand reaching over to pat his cheek earning an eye roll from Hyunjae.

“Tease.” He shook his head, his fingers grabbing your chin turning your face to make you face the TV again.

Of course your mind had other plans as you found yourself once again looking in Sunwoo’s direction. You were taken aback when you caught him staring back, sending daggers in your and Hyunjae's direction. He almost looked jealous and that excited your silly tipsy mind.

That look alone did something dangerous to your heart.

You decided to be a menace today and lean your back fully against Hyunjae, his hand now wrapped around your waist and resting flat against your stomach. Swinging your legs over Juyeon's lap was the cherry on top as his hands immediately found your legs and he began drawing slow circles on your bare skin with his thumb.

You heard Sunwoo scoff loud and clear, his eyes leaving you to return to the movie and you did the same.

Mission accomplished.

Sunwoo was a distraction throughout the whole duration of the movie as you kept glancing over at him, especially on all the jumpscare scenes, taking enjoyment in watching his eyes widen and his body drawing closer to Younghoon's to hide behind him. It was cute and you were starting to regret not sitting next to him just so you could be in Younghoon's place.

The next instalment in the series was loaded up on the screen while you waited for Eric, Sangyeon, Hyunjae and Juyeon to return from the shop with more drinks.

Your seating companions had left you wrapped up in a blanket, wearing Juyeon’s hoodie and the remaining of your preferred alcoholic beverage in hand as you scrolled through your phone with the other, mostly through twitter and messages from Soyeon asking for updates on the current situation.

You were so caught up texting your friend back that you failed to notice Sunwoo making his way towards you. Only taking notice when his weight dropped on the seat beside you and his cologne hit you. It should be illegal to smell that good for a movie night.

Your heart skipped a beat as you looked at him, trying to ignore how his leg was flush against yours.

“What?” You asked, setting your phone beside you, feeling it vibrate against your hand as you did so.

“Thought you’d like a closer look, you’ve been staring at me for 2 hours.” Your eyes widened like a deer caught in the headlights and you could feel your face warming. “Am I that handsome?” He gestured to his face.

“Get over yourself.” You scoffed crossing your arms over your chest and turning your head to look at anyone but him “I was just enjoying seeing you scared."

His index finger poked your cheek to bring your attention back to him and when you did your eyes fell right on his lips – soft, plump, kissable lips that you used to dream about back in your trainee days.

"Is that what you're into?" His finger was still pressed against your cheek.

You blinked, mind rushing with panic as you realised that you had probably been too obvious with the staring. Sunwoo tilted his head, a smirk plastered on his lips.

“Or do you prefer someone else's attention?” His finger dropped from your face to grasp as the string on the collar of Juyeon's hoodie "Looked like it." He pulled slightly on it, body inching closer to his as if this was his plan all along.

Your hand covered your mouth, surpressing the giggle that you had let out but it had been loud enough to grab the attention of the others who were now very invested in what was going on between you and Sunwoo.

“Are you jealous?” It had been meant to tease him but the way his face dropped when those words left your mouth made it seem like you had just stolen candy from a baby.

Sunwoo scoffed, standing up from beside you. Instantly, you missed the warmth of his leg against yours.

“Jealous of what? You can do whatever you want.” He gestured towards the others “Sleep with half of them for all I care.” Sunwoo marched out of the living room and you were left with your mouth hanging open.

Kevin and Jacob laughter filled the silence that followed, holding onto each other like what had just happened had been the funniest thing they had experienced.

“So glad we got his approval.” Chanhee said before he too burst out laughing.

Changmin scratched at his head, unsure of what to say because he knew that was Sunwoo just basically admitting that yes he was jealous.

Haknyeon motioned to you, silently saying 'talk later?' to which you nodded.

“I have never seen him that riled up.” Younghoon commented as he took a swig off his beer before standing up “I’ll talk to him.” And was out of the door.

Loud chatter came from the hallway where the other boys were returning from the shop.

"What's so funny?" Juyeon asked as he sat beside you once more, boldly letting his arm rest around you.

Chanhee waved his hand in dismissal "Inside joke, you just had to be there."

Half hour later and you were settled in the same seats as before, this time Sangyeon was hugging your leg and you were patting his soft hair.

Sunwoo hadn’t come back, you really didn't expect him to but it still dissapointed you. Younghoon said he was tired and had gone to bed, which you knew was an excuse.

You were definitely a little more than tipsy by now and you weren't really paying attention to the movie at all. The only thing on your mind right now was Kim Sunwoo.

It was halfway through the movie that you decided to do something about it, excusing yourself to the bathroom and quickly making your way to the hallway that led to all the bedrooms.

The hallway was dark, you didn't bother to turn the light as you tiptoed towards the room at the very end. Light was seeping through the bottom, indicating that Sunwoo was still very much awake.

You pressed your knuckles against the wooden frame and knocked softly, part of you hoping he wouldn’t listen but unfortunately he did as two seconds later he opened the door and you were face to face with a very angry Sunwoo.

“What do you want?” He asked.

You fiddled with your fingers, staring at the ground “I want to apologise for teasing you in front of the guys." You said it slowly, afraid of slurring your words.

Sunwoo snorted and you looked up at him with frowned eyebrows, he didn't look angry anymore but you couldn't really read the expression on his face.

"I think you should go to sleep." He placed his hands on your shoulders "I'll speak to you when you're sober." And smiled.

You pouted at him, extending your arms to the side "Hug me and I'll leave you alone." In your mind you had sounded normal but the smirk on his face said otherwise.

Sunwoo didn’t do or say anything. You were ready to take it as a rejection, your arms slowly lowering but then he moved forward pulling your body towards his and warping his strong arms around your torso. Your heart was about to jump out of your chest at the feel of his fingers bunching up the fabric at your back.

You didn’t move for what felt like an eternity and when you did, you moved slowly. It wasn't everyday you got a hug from Sunwoo so you wanted to take your sweet time as you wrapped your arms around his middle, your hands resting flatly against his back.

“You smell like Juyeon." He whispered against your neck and the brush of his lips over your skin nearly sent you into overdrive.

You knew it wasn't a compliment.

Eventually, you broke the hug but his arms stayed around you as he glanced down at you with those big brown eyes and you could swear his cheeks were a faint shade of pink.

Your eyes moved to his lips once more. God you wanted to kiss him so badly but you knew sober you would regret it in the morning.

However drunk you didn't really care. You could feel yourself leaning upwards.

But of course the moment had to be ruined by someone coughing behind you.

Sunwoo practically shoved you off him and you did the same, ending up with your back against the nearby wall as if you had just been caught doing something you shouldn't.

Which you did because it was Sangyeon that was staring down at the two of you with an arched eyebrow and a disapproving look on his face.

The sound of a door closing snapped your attention back to Sunwoo but he was gone without saying another word.

With a sigh you walked towards your brother and side hugged him.

“You’re terrible.” You pouted and he pressed a finger to your nose to bop it.

“It’s for your own good.” Sangyeon dragged you back to the living room where he kept hold of you all night so you wouldn’t do something you regretted.

𓂋˚˖ A/N. *taps mic* ... hey 🧍🏻‍♀️

𓂋˚˖ SYNOPSIS. competing against a rapidly rising all-male band from another school at an intercollegiate music festival doesn't really sound too bad on the surface. until you see their lead guitarist—the same boy who always made sure you knew who was the better guitarist between the two of you in high school.

Production staff wearing headphones and holding clipboards were jogging around backstage whilst other stage crew were busy setting up your group’s instruments. From where you were standing, you could see the event host at the edge of the stage with the spotlight shined on them, speaking enthusiastically about the previous collab performances that just finished. You could hardly see the audience, but based on how loud the cheers have been so far, you could tell that more people bought tickets this time compared to the previous round.

With how busy your surroundings were, your body couldn’t help tensing up from being a nervous wreck, your hands clasping together and aggressively massaging your fingers in hopes of relieving any nerves. You were too focused silently praying that the crew would take longer in setting up that you didn’t notice the person who decided to stand next to you.

“Hey, just relax,”

“Easy for you to say,” you turned towards Sunwoo as you crossed your arms, your hand sliding aggressively back and forth on your arm to the point that you could still feel the pressure even if you stopped.

“You’ll be fine,” he said as he faced the stage. “Trust in my teaching skills a little,”

Scoffing, you placed your hands in your pockets, silently thankful for Sunwoo’s presence.

Just as you were beginning to wonder where the rest of the team was, a bright voice appeared from Sunwoo’s side.

“Sunwoo!”

Turning to the vaguely familiar voice, you’re surprised to see an old batchmate from high school, the one and only Jang Haewon.

She wasn’t your cliche school queen bee or it girl who thought she was better than everyone else. It’s true that everyone loved her, but all for good reason anyway. Aside from the fact that no matter where you were standing, she would always look beautiful and glowing, she was always nothing but all jokes and smiles with the people around her. Even the teachers couldn’t resist pausing their walk back to the faculty room whenever she stroke up a conversation with them. She was also consistently one of the top students in your batch. She was definitely hard not to miss; you wouldn’t even be surprised if you ended up having a crush on her back then if you had the time.

“Oh my god, is this Y/N?”

“Hi, Haewon,” you waved as you tried to cover up how you were currently feeling.

“Sunwoo told me you played guitar since high school, I can’t believe I had no idea! Can’t wait to see you later, good luck!”

You muttered a small thanks before she turned to Sunwoo, whom she obviously went backstage for. Tuning out their conversation, your mind started to drift towards recalling the chords when a pair of hands land on your shoulders.

“You ready?”

You turned to the side opposite Sunwoo and Haewon and find Ryujin bouncing in excitement.

You took a deep breath in as you gave her a nervous smile. “No,”

“That’s the spirit!”

She started pushing you up the stairs that led to the stage as you laughed, trying your best to leave all the nervousness backstage as Sunwoo, Heejin, Kevin, and Hyunjae followed suit.

The host finally called your collective team name, and cheers erupted so loud you think your eardrums have popped.

Moving towards the other side of the stage, you picked up your guitar from its stand and tried to calm your breathing. Kevin, who was also on your side of the stage, noticed this and gave you a small smile and thumbs up as Sunwoo and Heejin interacted with the crowd.

Much like the last time, you tried convincing yourself that enjoying was all that mattered now, which worked for the most part. After the pretty intense first chorus, you and the others took this as time to rest a little as Sunwoo continued sing-rapping while you did a few ad libs here and there.

Thankfully, you hadn’t messed up so far, so you were actually enjoying this indescribable moment. That is, until the bridge.

Heejin and Sunwoo faced one another as much as their standing microphones allowed them, singing as if they were talking to each other. They were definitely doing a great job at building up tension because you thought you were about to lose your mind as it went blank.

The large hall quiets down and the lights go dark, the only one left being on you. You could hardly see Sunwoo turned back towards you in your peripheral vision, let alone the audience in front of you.

Taking a deep breath, you pretend as if you were the only one in the hall, letting your muscle memory take over as you put your soul into your 15-second solo.

Before you know it, the lights were back on and everyone was screaming and singing along to the final chorus, where you could finally breathe and look around the stage with a huge smile on your face.

With only a few seconds left, you moved forward to stand beside Sunwoo for your last riff and his last solo. Euphoria was literally radiating off everyone onstage, but most especially you and Sunwoo as you both couldn’t help trying to one up each other as if you were merely playing around in the practice room.

You didn’t even realize the song was over until the crowd started roaring. Soaking in the moment, you gaze upon them before turning towards Sunwoo who was already looking towards you with a smile still stuck to his face.

Raising his hand up, you gave him a high five and kept your hands up clasped together as you jumped in excitement and satisfaction while he giggled at how happy you looked. Rushing to put down your guitar, you ran to Ryujin and hugged her before wishing her luck for the next song. On the way to exit the stage, you patted Sunwoo’s back as your way of saying he did well and good luck while he kept talking to the audience. He wanted to tell you how proud he was, but he was also participating in the next song, hindering him from doing so.

As you walked down the stairs with Heejin, Hyunjae, and Kevin, you briefly chatted with the next set of members who were about to perform before letting them go to prepare. Still relishing in the post-performance adrenaline, you held and shook Heejin’s hands as you squealed in happiness together. The other boys resting with you only laughed at your antics, completely understanding the feeling.

The next song began playing, and all you could do was enjoy and sing along.

Nearing the end of the song, your nerves crept up your back once again, but you tried your best to suppress them as you moved toward the stage again where Sunwoo and a few others were coming down from. He threw you a thumbs up since he once again didn’t have the time to talk to you, and you couldn’t even bring yourself to pretend to be annoyed.

You were nervous, as you always were, but your excitement for the next and final collab stage definitely outweighed that. With one final deep breath, you let go of everything holding you back and let the moment take over.

Once all your collab stages were finally over, you and the rest of the members left the stage to meet with the others, all of you erupting in chaotic ‘congratulations’ and ‘you did wells’.

After handing a piece of confetti to Isa, which she asked from you before you left for the last song since she always did so after every performance, you looked around in search of Sunwoo, who seemed to be the only one missing from the group—not that you were looking for him.

After a while, you finally see him a few feet away, in the middle of a hug with Haewon. When they pulled away from each other, you noticed how he was looking at her like a married old man and chuckled to yourself. Even from far away, he was so obvious there’s no way Haewon hasn’t noticed it.

Yet, it stung a little. Definitely because you haven’t had anyone look at you like that and not because it’s Sunwoo. Yeah, that sounds about right.

“Let’s go out for dinner!” Sangyeon suddenly announced.

“Our treat!” Seunghee butted in. You chuckled as you wondered where they possibly have the money to pay for all 13 people, but cheered along with the others anyway.

synopsis : you never wanted to do anything with love. you thought maybe it was just better to stay single for the rest of your life. but your friend, ningning, insists that she should help you change that. she sets you up on a blind date, so what’s the big deal? but what if she unintentionally arranged dates for you with three men on the same day? what would you do if three guys appear at your doorstep, claiming to be your date? who would you choose to be your lover?
