So, I have this gut feeling that Tails needs another game. Let me explain.

In Sonic Frontiers, Tails says to Sonic that he needs to go on his adventure alone to find his clarity. That already alone makes a great set up for a game. And when the next Sonic mainline game releases, you don't need to chuck out Tails (that would be cruel). You can literally make references of Tails going on that adventure in the game because of his own game.

Not to mention that you can also make another great character arc just for Tails, about Tails. So that you don't have to worry about it in the next mainline game. Because Tails already had it (but you can probably extend it over to that main game like the Sonic Adventure games).

With marketing purposes (Tails being a popular character in the fanbase) and how Knuckles is getting his own TV series, Shadow having his own game too, it just make sense for Tails to have one as well.

(I know that Tails already has one, Tails Adventure but come on, that's so underrated plus, you can also make a sequel out of it, like in his 30th anniversary of the comic.)
