Okay so. It’s not that I’m surprised that sad mean angry gatekeeper boys are losing their minds over Disney “renaming” the Slave I. I’m just annoyed that I keep clicking the links to articles about it thinking that they’ve finally actually told us what the new name is and no, it’s just the same articles about things being labeled “Boba Fett’s starship” and “Firespray” instead. That is not the ship’s new name that is not a name. That is just a label on a product. Folks, come on, stop telling me there’s a “new canon name” for the ship until there is a new canon name for the ship.

(Also like...you do remember there were years there where we only had “Hammerhead” and so on as names because the Expanded Universe hadn’t invented proper names yet and we were just using the labels they slapped on the action figures, right? It’s just that again. It’s not a new name it’s just a product label. Stop lying to me and making me think they’ve actually released their choice of its new name when they haven’t yet!)

Anyway. I'd honestly like to see them rename it as "Vessel One" or "Ship One" or even "Firespray One" (although the latter is my least favorite of the choices because it sounds too flowery for Fett tbh even though it’s just the ship type). All names that don't just keep the pragmatic, disposable vibe of the original (you don't bother to name something "One" if you aren't expecting/prepared to eventually have a "Two," right?) but are in fact even less sentimental in their complete lack of acknowledgement as the vehicle as anything unique or precious.

It's a tool, nothing more and nothing less.

That seems like a very in-character naming choice for Boba Fett tbh. At least, the old school "this is my face" practical man that I grew up knowing as Boba Fett. Disney does seem disappointingly (but unsurprisingly) determined to turn him into something else, but I'm just telling myself that this honor-code guy with an inexplicable interest in running Jabba's old palace is Spar or some other clone who thinks he's Boba Fett, because the barve I know would never.

Seriously though it would be nice to have his ship named something that I could actually put on a T-shirt (or vanity license plate! I spent almost a year when I was a small teen dreaming of getting a vanity license plate for my car and putting the name of Boba Fett’s ship on it until I realized that would be terrible! omg!!!!), though, so I'm totally in for dropping "Slave" as long as they replace it with something fittingly cold and not some sentimental osik. That would be great, actually, please?

Chapter 1: Arrivals, Beginnings 5.7k Boba Fett hires you as a live-in mechanic. You get to know him better as he instructs you on how to care for his ship and suddenly, your feelings are all over the place.

Chapter 2: Discoveries, Reactions4k Boba catches you in a compromising position- but he does not exactly react the way you expect him to. Filth ensues.

Chapter 3: Explorations, Experiments 3.2k Punishments and rewards are dealt out. Boba tests out the limits of what you are willing to do with him, for him.

Chapter 4: Teases, Acquisitions 4.2k You get started on augmentations and improvements to Slave I. Boba invites you to a dinner with some mysterious visitors and you go on a little shopping spree in Mos Espa to get a dress.

Chapter 5: Visitors, Dinners 5.1k The dinner begins. You meet Kuat of Kuat, the man responsible fo the customisation of Slave I - and Boba gets jealous.

Chapter 6: Negotiations, Plans 4.6k Negotiations with Kuat go well, but Boba is not amused by you making plans without him. You help him relax in the throne room once your guests are gone, but are caught by a surprise visitor - a man in silver armour.

Chapter 7: Newcomers, Spectators 6.2k Boba comes by to discuss your plans of reinstating the Boonta Eve Classic and gets more conversation than he bargained for. You properly meet Mando and learn you are supposed to help him find a new ship. Boba has to leave the planet and you let him take his anger out on you.

Chapter 8: Mornings, Conversations 5.4k You talk to Fennec about your mysterious visitor. While Boba is gone, you do your research for Boonta Eve and get started looking for a ship for the Mandalorian. Boba returns and there is finally time to properly communicate.

Chapter 9: Lovers, Repairs7k Boba plays with the thought of inviting Mando to your bed. You help Boba get dressed in sweet domesticity and call Kuat for help in the search for Mando's ship. The Mandalorian watches you work and you get to know him a little better. Boba is not pleased things are developing between Din and you without his supervision.

Chapter 10: Invitations, Additions 4.6k Boba lets you sit on his cock while you talk some things through. The next day, Din helps you with repairs to Slave I. You invite him to join you and Boba that night.

Chapter 11: Helmets, Kisses 6.7k Din accepts your proposal. Boba stakes his claim over you and Din becomes more involved than originally planned.

Chapter 12: Friends, Drinks7k Healthy communication about the whole situation happens - Boba is not sure how he feels about adding Din to the mix. When you wake up, he and Din have gone on a mission and Fennec has returned to keep an eye on you. The two of you bond over drinks. Kuat calls to let you know he has found a ship for Din.

Chapter 13: Memories, Stories 6.5k Boba returns that night and sleeps over - his mouth on you a pleasant surprise in the morning. Fennec leaves and you realise Boba has not brought Din back with him. Boba takes you up to his rooms for the first time and tells you he has negotiated for a Boonta Eve race course with the Tuskens and Din has stayed behind with them.

Chapter 14: Helpers, Leaders 6.1k You find out just how much Boba is still suffering from his time inside the Sarlacc pit and he lets you take care of him. Comfort turns filthy and the aftercare is oh so sweet. Boba teaches you some Mando'a.

Chapter 15: Realisations, Confessions 6.9k Din returns from his time with the Tuskens and you tell him about the possible ship at Kuat Drive Yards. You have a heart to heart about Din's son and your feelings for Boba and you realise something. Boba takes you to the old arena to show you the new Boonta Eve race course and you can't hold your tongue.

Chapter 16: Marks, Reminders 7.6k After your confession and Boba's answer, you both decide to invite Din back for another round. You tell Boba you want to go to Kuat Drive Yards with Din to inspect the potential ship. You fix up the Slave I so you can leave for Kuat, Boba promising to teach you how to fly her. He makes sure Din won't forget who you belong to.

Chapter 17: Adventures, Excitements8k Din joins you and Boba, pure filth ensues. The boys have a talk.

Chapter 18: Boredoms, Trips 8.1k You decide to tease Boba. Fennec returns and the two of you go to Mos Espa to shop for your trip to KDY. You mingle with Boba's guests at court until Boba finally snaps.

Chapter 19: Lessons, Presents6k Boba returns your teasing. When court closes, you head out for a flying lesson with him and Din. Boba opens up about his feelings and gives you a gift.

Chapter 20: Miscommunications, Revelations 5.5k You have a talk with Boba before you leave, but some things are left unsaid - at least in Basic. Din accidentally reveals a miscommunication.

Chapter 21: Journeys, Unveilings 7.3k You fault Din for the accidental revelation and things get ugly before they get better.

Chapter 22: Deceptions, Threats 8.7k You finally see the Yards. Kuat is a gracious host, but you can't shake the feeling that something is off - and neither can Din.

Chapter 23: Reunions, Goodbyes 5.3k You return home, but not everyone intends to stay, and some... guests... are unwelcome.

Chapter 24: Talks, Renewals 5.8k Fennec is a wonderfully supportive friend. Some things are finally cleared up between you and Boba.

Chapter 25: Feelings, Forevers 4k Softness and feelings and truly coming back home, in many senses.
