What is it? A kiss? That's all you wanted? Okay. They'll give you a quick one and that's it. Happy now? Let's be honest, they're gonna be real boring about it. So it won't be fun unless you make it fun.

When they begin leaning in to kiss you, you’ve got to grab 'em by the shoulders, deepen the kiss yourself and stay like that for a while. They're going to be both amused and shocked at your assertiveness. Then maybe they'll finally reciprocate your zeal. After all, if you bring such passion to the table, it would be wrong to give you anything less.

Immediately kisses you however they want

Itto, Childe

I hope you know what you're getting into. They'll kiss you with zero hesitation and will devour your lips. Their kisses are gonna be rough and unrelenting. They don't wanna hear any complaints about it either. You're the one who asked for it- well, rather, demanded it, and if you're going to be demanding, then it's only fair that they get their share too!

Asks how you'd like it first before kissing you

THOMA, Kaveh, Gorou, Albedo

If you had to ask for a kiss, then you must want it a certain way, right? So how would you like it? Would you like a light peck or a deep kiss? Do you want it gentle or more rough? Do you want them to bite your lip? Suck on it? Use tongue?

Dare to tell them to figure it out. A small blush will then spread across their cheeks, but they're nonetheless eager to go through all sorts of ways to kiss you.

And in between kisses, they'll frequently ask, "Do you like that?", "Is this what you wanted?", or "Tell me how you'd like it, love" 😘

Gives you what you want, exactly how you want it

Kazuha, ZHONGLI, Tighnari, Baizhu

Would chuckle at your forwardness, but would nonetheless kiss you. They're gonna beckon you to come closer, pull you in towards them, cup the side of your face and give you a long and deep kiss.

When they break away, they'll take a moment to admire your face, caressing your cheek with their thumb as they think about how blessed they are to have you in their life.

Tries to act indifferent about it

SCARAMOUCHE, Xiao

They're going to blush a bit at the sudden demand. But they'll try to put up an indifferent front towards it. "Well...sure I guess....", he'll shrug and give you a quick peck on the lips. His attitude reverts to a flustered one when you hum with delight and have the brightest smile on your face after he kisses you.

"Why are you so happy? It's just a kiss"

"It's a kiss from my beloved, why wouldn't I be happy?"

Now you've got him even redder.

"...would you like more?", he'll mumble.

He just loves seeing you so happy, and is so happy that the reason for it is him.

Teases you before giving it to you

Ayato, Venti, KAEYA, Heizou

In any other situation, they'd kiss you on the spot. Though, this time, they'd pause and decide to make you work for it. If you wanted a kiss, then you'd better earn it. Show them how patient and good you could be.

They're going to kiss you everywhere except for your lips, the place where you wanted it to be. They'll be painfully slow about it too. They'll begin by kissing your hand, then pressing kisses up arm, up your neck, your jaw, and right when you think he was finally going to kiss your lips, he simply kisses your cheek. You whine and he simply responds, "I'm kissing you, aren't I?", and proceeds to leave kisses all over your face.

If you try to kiss them, they'll put a finger up to your lips to prevent you and will prolong their teasing. Like I said, he wants to see how patient you can be and once he's seen it, he'll admire your adorable, flustered face for a moment before finally meeting his lips with yours.

Bonus:

Will say "no" just to get a rise out of you

Alhaitham, Scaramouche, CHILDE, Heizou, Kaeya

Similar to teasing, but worse. He'll deny you to the point where you truly believe that he doesn't want to kiss you. It's gonna make you pout, but once he's taken in enough of your cute expression, he's going to kiss you so sweetly and do much more to make it up to you.

(I would've added Venti here but I feel like he'd be afraid that you'll never kiss him again if he were to tease you like that lol

—when you call them by their name and not by an endearment after being together for a long time

NOTES. fighting against a rodent while writing this long piece. i deserve an award me thinks.

ZHONGLI

Would notice in an instant. Even if you intended it or not, he will immediately ask “Is there something the matter, love?”

He’d be more worried over the fact that there must be something that’s bothering you, which prompted your mood to turn sour.

He’d also try to think if something happened earlier on, trying to recall if he had done something or if you’d been like this since early on.

Nothing really gets past him so he will know the truth by the end of the day, as much as possible, even if you were pranking him. If you were, he wouldn’t mind, as long as you are doing alright.

Though he’ll most likely tease you after that.

“Ah, I see… You’re getting foxy by the day, darling.”

XIAO

Sends you a look but wouldn’t say a single word.

Would immediately think if he had done something wrong or if you’d finally gotten sick of him or something. Poor babe.

He has this cute frown on his lips and sometimes, he opens them, thinking he should ask you or something but would stop himself.

What if you’re merely in a foul mood? Most humans act like this when they feel unwell.

You’ll just know how affected he is by how he stiffens and ponders on this on his own, or if he feels even more worried, he will get out of your way, thinking he’s just a nuisance or something.

You might have to apologize very well afterward, even if you choose not to tell him that it is a prank. Kiss him and cuddle him while you reassure him that he did nothing wrong, please. The arms that are wrapped on your waist are a testament to how much he needed that.

VENTI

You better pray he doesn’t notice or he’ll immediately retaliate.

But no matter what your prayers are unless he is drunk, he would instantly hear how his name left your lips ever so casually.

“Windblume, you have to take that back! I’m not Venti!—well, not for you!”

He’d go into the theatrics, I advise you shouldn’t really do this prank while you two are outside, or else other people will give you both weird glances at his… dramatic “performance”.

THOMA

He is observant, but he did not want to pry much as well.

Would give you your space (because he’s a gentleman like that), but if you seem like you’re not really angry at him… he’d be utterly confused.

“Babe,” he calls you, probably emphasizing the word too much, “are you perhaps… intentionally not calling me the same way you usually would?” “I mean… not that I mind but… well, I do mind.”

Will make sure that you don’t feel guilty whatsoever—the poor man probably doesn’t even know it’s a prank.

TIGHNARI

He notices it but he’d think that it’s merely because you’re not in the mood on that specific day, so he tries to not speak about it.. at first, ignoring it and going back to what he was previously preoccupied with.

As someone who can talk a lot with himself, he will be able to take his mind off of your little stunt for a bit. Actually, he may be too busy to even realize that you may just be pranking him.

That is until he realizes that you’ve been calling his name continuously and with emphasis, even—something is definitely wrong.

“Tighnari! Tighnari! What is this mushroom called again? Tighnari?”

He supposes he had let you indulge in your trick for a long time already, and enough is enough.

He turns around and instead of reaching for the mushroom, he takes your hand in his. Looking your way and waiting until your gaze meets his—it already was.

“Are you enjoying yourself, love? I suppose you are, aren’t you?”

SCARAMOUCHE

Crunches his forehead and glares at you. Immediately.

Preposterous! Who said you could call him by his name?

But honestly… whatever stunt you’re pulling at, he doesn’t like it one bit, and he’d act like it. Actually, his actions are very… very him.

Immediately, he’d pull you onto his lap and nuzzle his face on your neck, inhaling your scent, and just as your face was heating up with this action, you could hear his low voice, lips directly over your ear.

“Who? I don’t know who you’re talking about. Nope, I am not Scaramouche, try again, darling.”

PANTALONE

This is a call to bring you another gift.

You probably will receive the gift first before you could even say that it’s all a prank, chill.

He may not take it as an offense, actually. He’s more so finding you adorable for this and thinks how much of a sly fox you are.

Though you’ll have to be careful with how many times you’ll tease this man, his patience is not that very far when it comes to having someone up to him on something. Even you.

KAZUHA

Probably already knows it’s a prank but will still let you indulge in teasing him… at least, a few times. Of course, it’s also a precaution in case you really are pissed and he’s just overreading it.

If he’s already sure that you’re just toying with him, of course, he will make sure to set everything straight.

He knows very well that as long as he doesn’t address this with you, you will continue to call him as such. He can’t have that, can he?!

“I appreciate you calling my name, dove,” he’d reach for your hand and raise it to kiss its back, eyes looking straight at you with a small smirk playing on his lips, “but the game’s over, love, I’ve already caught up to your intentions. What do you say about stopping the charades so we could go and excuse ourselves for today, hm?

KAEYA

“Love, I don’t suppose that’s what you should call me, hm? No worries, I will let you go for now.”

Will be very teasing, willing to make you suffer after almost making him suffer a heart attack—but really, at first he thought that he was in trouble or that you were somehow in a bad mood to even see him or anyone else.

But after observing you—oh my, you don’t look like in a bad mood at all, he was definitely a hundred percent sure that you were merely pranking him.

Thus, you surely wouldn’t mind if he’d do the same, would you?

ITTO

Contrary to belief, he doesn’t react as soon as he hears his name. Though he definitely notices it, especially with how he instantly whips his head and gazes your way.

“Babe, what do you think about going out?” he asks, emphasizing how he called you with an endearment. “Yeah, sure, Itto. I don’t mind.”

Okay, now it’s war!

He’d pester you to bits. You’d start to regret even playing the prank on him.

IL DOTTORE

Now it’s really fine for you to call his name, his real name. But calling him with his Fatui name? That is odd… but not entirely impossible.

He knows you very well, so it wouldn’t come as a surprise if you’re teasing him, much like the other times you would. Though not as usual, of course, that doesn’t leave out the possibility that this is one of those times.

So he lets you try. It’s nice to see you try… but would you be able to make him react? He’s quite curious as well.

HEIZOU

“Hm? What is this?” he’d mutter to himself. “Huh? What was that, Heizou?” you’d ask after hearing him mutter something but did not clearly know what it was. Did he notice, perhaps?

Of course, he did! He wouldn’t be hailed the best detective in town if he hadn’t, would he?

And besides… you’ve done this multiple times… prank him and such. And he the same. This is nothing new to him.

Furthermore, two can play the game.

“I mean, I don’t know, Y/n, care to explain to me?” “What should I explain to you, Heizou?” “Y/n, I know you know what I’m talking about.” “I don’t know what you’re talking about, Heizou.

Y’all are both petty, a match made from heaven. This will probably go on the whole day.

GOROU

He has a keen hearing, and also a fragile heart.

You’d think he just didn’t hear it but his ears were pointed downward seconds after and he had become… a bit nervous with the tone of his voice.

“Gorou? Is something wrong ba-” you halted, realizing your mistake, “Is something wrong?” You repeated the question, however, he already caught on.

“Love… a-are you… mad at me? Did I do something wrong?”

(How dare you hurt this baby istg)

You’d most likely cave in from how your heart was wrenching over his reaction.

DILUC

He does not mind, but it did bother him a bit.

Were you mad? Did something happen for you to act so unusually?

He’s a bit of a worrier, you see... Well, maybe too much.

“Darling, is there something wrong? Would you like to rest a bit?”

Literally the sweetest. The moment that he’d begin to even comprehend that there might be something or someone bothering you or that you feel uncomfortable for even a second, he’ll be wiling to eradicate it quickly.

If he learns that it is merely a prank of yours, he’d merely raise a brow, thinking that such pranks even exist, and merely brush it off. Well, it’s good that you’re okay though.

DAINSLEIF

He did not particularly mind whatever you call him. (this man is built different, wbk)

He sees nothing wrong with it, and even if you were teasing him, it was not like he was faking his reaction–he did not mind.

You’ll get nothing from him, istg.

Well, maybe except for the way he’d squeeze your hand whenever you initiated holding his—sure, maybe it’s a simple gesture, you supposed it was his way of showing his affection despite your teasing.

CYNO

He did not mind it… at first.

But if you continue to call him by his name, he’ll definitely feel that there is something suspicious going on. However, it is far more than likely that you’re just teasing him, just like how you usually would, trying to see what reaction you’d be able to pull from him and so on.

He knew you that much, and if you think he’ll let you tease him, you are gravely mistaken.

Though usually, he’d just ignore them, he figured that this time, he’d try something different. The opposite, even.

“Love… are you doing this on purpose?” Anyone else would've trembled under the gaze of his scarlet eyes—but you weren’t just anyone, and by the way he played with your fingers, you knew right away that your boyfriend wasn’t really mad.

“Perhaps… I shall make you remember the consequences of teasing me like this, Y/n?”

CHILDE

Did you really think you could get away from this?

Of course, not! It’s a match at this point! Who says he wouldn’t fire back?

“Bab–I mean, Y/n,” he clears his throat, “today is such a lovely day, isn’t it? Ah, I’d love a drink right now, what do you think bab–I mean, Y/n?”

“Ah, why is this so hard,” he’d complain with a mutter under his breath. He’d been too far used to calling you with an endearment that he forgets to even intentionally call your name as revenge.

AYATO

What a sly trick you have there. And of course, he did notice it.

No matter, it was not like it pained him, nor did he think that it was wrong of you to call him by just his name and not any endearment you’d usually do, or maybe the usual “my lord” with a hint of slyness in your voice.

Still, it was quite entertaining for you to even try to rile him up.

So what does he do? Does the same.

“Hm? What did you say, Y/n? I can’t hear you when you’re that far… Y/n.”

ALHAITHAM

He figured at first that you were just testing the waters, seeing what he’d do or say. He knew your intentions but not the full of it.

It was quite an easy guess, actually. It would have been because you’ve hung out with him for far too long that you began to experiment and research about trivial things such as this—which mostly focused on him though.

Honestly, he’d find it quite endearing—how you’d look at him as if you’re expecting something from him or try to peak with the corner of your eyes or the purse in your lips, trying to suppress a giggle.

Maybe he’ll let you indulge this time.

He’d snake his long arms on your sides and lean into your ear, whispering, “Oh? Did you call my name, love?”

ALBEDO

Frowns but ponders to himself.

There is a possibility of three separate reasons why you might act like this.

One, you are pissed at him.

Two, you might just be pissed in general.

And three, you are pranking him.

It really depends on how you had been acting with him throughout your relationship which one weighs the heaviest, but he will still consider the other options, nonetheless.

He’s smart, he’ll try to observe you at first before he will conclude his observations. Of course, he’ll probably be immersed in solving this mystery, so even if he finds out you were merely pranking him, he will only be relieved that you are not really angry at him.

Emotions are one thing he finds difficult to handle, which is why it’s even better for you to prank him than be really mad—not that he’ll always let you prank him, but he can let you indulge… sometimes.

AETHER

Does not mind being called by his name. Actually, he’d be even more concerned about your well-being than his own.

“Are you feeling well? Would you like to rest a bit?” As a traveler himself, he knows how tiring adventuring is, and of course, he’d also have to note that not everyone has the same endurance as him. So when you insist every day that you’d like to join him, it was something he always would be concerned about.

He’d not even think about you tricking him, for him, whatever you call him was all on your own accord and it’s the same for him. Though if it is unusual for you to call him by his name, of course, he’ll have to consider that there might be something wrong.

summary ! these land-dwelling hybrids have devotion as sturdy as stone and they’re ready to prove it anytime! if you’re feeling shackled by your father’s chain, do not worry, for you have your trusty hybrids to keep you company. should you have any concerns, just come to them anytime. after all, you are all bound by a contract that will never expire~

in the neighboring country of your very own, legends say that a great dragon protected their lands in a time of tumultuous peril. were it not for the great dragon general and his army of mythical beasts, the people of that land would have succumbed to war and famine. he built the broken country from the ground back up, and introduced many kinds of craft to help them prosper. the land and its people did indeed flourish, thanks to the wisdom of the dragon. but wise as he is, he ultimately decided that the humans must learn to rely on themselves, and so he and his army of beasts hid away, till they faded into nothing more but myths and stories…

you stare blankly at the gentleman who is calmly sipping his tea while he tells you this story, and venti's squawking laughter as he dies in the background. having let go of his human form, he sits comfortably with his scaled tail and his golden antlers out, and his black and gold hands gingerly cup the ceramic teacup. aether is beside you giving the man a deadpan stare. all the surrounding hybrids, save for a few clueless ones, give him the side eye. yeah, ZHONGLI is not fooling anybody.

unlike your other hybrids, it was you who came to him. your father had summoned you, much to the anger of your caring hybrids, and your servants had you scrubbed with scented soaps and dressed you in elegant pieces. aether accompanies you all the way to your company's building and soothes your worries away as you ride the elevator going up. the man accompanying you shoots a condescending gaze— the forgotten heir and their hybrid pet— and backing down after receiving aether’s dark glare. when you step into his office, you’re greeted by the apathetic look on your father’s face… and the handsome man beside him.

“this is ZHONGLI,” your father tells you, sounding bored as he resumes to reading his documents. “i heard that you’ve amassed yourself a following of hybrids of some sort.” you tense when you hear that, knowing the positions hybrids hold in this world. “what you do there is of no concern to me. ZHONGLI is a good and efficient secretary– he can help you control those beasts of yours. after all, i cannot risk having so many sources of harm around my child without someone to properly control them.” aether snarls under his breath at the mere implication of them hurting you, but you squeeze his hand. and so off you leave to your isolated villa, your back turning on your neglectful father once more.

ZHONGLI quickly proves himself to be quite the skilled hybrid. he can easily identify from just a glance on what kind of animal they are, as well as the specifications of their behavior, preferred environment, diet, and whatnot. he also helps you sort through your treasures— the jewels and antiques you’ve accumulated over time and tell you stories of these. he entertains you with new knowledge, helping you have a good grasp on the world beyond these walls.

he’s also very, very gentle with you. for the kindness you’ve shown these hybrids, you’ve gained a special place in ZHONGLI’s heart. oftentimes, he will pat your hair down as he recounts an old eastern fable, and straightens out any wrinkles in your shirt when he sees them. it pleases him to know that you are nothing like your father, but he knows that you’re still his blood-related child. if you had to go through any of the trials that your father had, ZHONGLI fears that you may grow just as cold-hearted as he is. so he makes sure to take the utmost care of you, so that you’ll never have to change from your kind and soft self.

ZHONGLI quickly becomes a trustworthy pillar that everyone can rely on. the younger hybrids tend to come to him for advice, and he sometimes even replaces aether as a substitute butler. but when it comes to fights, he only watches in amusement and sips on his tea. youngsters should let out some steam once in a while, he reasons. oh, and aether absolutely forbids him from touching the mora. that’s one thing no one ever trusts him with.

ZHONGLI’s pride and ego as a dragon hybrid has long dissipated since the eras have changed, but even so, it has always irritated him that your father tricked him into a contract. sometimes, when he looks at you, a dark urge dwells in the dark recesses of his mind. it’s a feeling he hasn’t felt ever since he was a young bloodthirsty general— that bloodlust and sadism. he knows you’re not your father… but what he does know is that your father has a great amount of affection he refuses to show to you. so what would happen if ZHONGLI were to… say, ruin you? to push you past your breaking point and present it to your father?

he knows it’s not right to think such things of you, but you can’t blame him. ZHONGLI is sure you’d understand, like how you understand your every hybrid’s troubles. he’s done so much for you, after all. surely you’ll allow him to take a bite of you, and maybe more. you are a treasure, hidden away where no one can hear you scream. it doesn’t help that ZHONGLI is a dragon, heralded by legends as the mightiest of them all, and he wants to possess every single inch of you until you’re not yourself anymore.

he loves you, and he isn’t afraid to tell you. you are kind, and you are everything your father isn’t. his heart swells when you look at him and his smile is unstoppable when you excitedly chatter on about trivial matters. he wants to give you everything and more but it is in his blood to be selfish, and there’s nothing he wants more than to ruin you and your father too.

RELATIONSHIPS: zhongli and venti often get into passive-aggressive fights by covering up their insults with very fake compliments. poor xiao and aether often find themselves in the middle of this verbal war, but the two old men actually get along more than they’re willing to admit.

ITTO makes himself known by destroying a wall and a room. it was a nice and peaceful day, enjoying a cup of tea before another session of studying with zhongli. but soon enough, the entire manor shakes as a loud explosion comes from one of the outermost rooms, and everyone rushes to see what happened. in the middle of all the rubble and mess is a snorting bull, a stab wound in his side. when it looks up at you, it's eyes grow wide.

everyone covers your eyes when the bull morphs and reveals a naked muscular man with the stupidest grin ever. "hello, little one!" his voice nearly booms, but it stills sound faint as blood dribbles from his mouth. "uh, haha, i know it's awkward to ask this of ya since we just met, but ya look like the master of this house. care to help me out here?"

ITTO apparently has gotten himself injured thanks to a gang war. according to his story, his gang pissed off some of the local ones when they barged into their territory ("anywhere's arataki itto's territory!" he corrects zhongli, but is promptly ignored) and he split up from his gang while running away ("strategic retreat!"). the adrenaline must've gotten to him, because he was a long way off from where he originally came from.

ITTO is loud and childish, but you've never had a normal childhood, so his presence is greatly appreciated. he drags you into his silly games— catching beetles with you to raise them into fierce fighters, shouting out cringey finishing moves during your card games— it’s always a fun time whenever he’s around, and he even manages to wrangle other hybrids into playing with him. a lot of people are exasperated by him, but they do like how friendly and stupid he is, so he’s one of the more popular hybrids in town.

stupid ITTO knows how strong he is, but that doesn’t mean he stops to think before pulling you into one of his bone-crushing hugs. gorou often yelps and tries to pull him off, nagging the laughing bull about his strength and carelessness. when he does loosen his grip on you, he does make for a great cuddle buddy— a set of firm abs behind you, muscled biceps wrapped protectively around your hips, and his head atop yours. sometimes you’ll fall asleep in his arms, much to everyone’s dismay, because then itto would fall asleep with you and everyone knows he has a grip like death.

ITTO’s foolish, but he’s kind and surprisingly wise at times. he’s wise enough to know the dark leer in his fellow hybrids’ eyes, and strong enough to be able to whisk you away from potential danger without any consequences. he tends to move you away whenever territorial conflicts arise between the hybrids, distracting you with a game or two. itto knows all too well how hybrids are treated in this world… he doesn’t want you being scared of them either.

that’s why he doesn’t warn you about the dangers of the other hybrids either. one, because he doesn’t want to fill your head with scary thoughts about them and two, well, he becomes a hypocrite. he may try protecting you, but even that’s hard enough for him. when you smile at him so trustingly, it just breaks his heart in two… and stirs up something dark and possessive within his heart.

ITTO wants to cradle you gently, continue to play these silly games with you and have fun with the others for your entire life, but sometimes, you make it hard for him to be a nice man. he’s a big, big man— so big, in fact, that you won’t be able to do anything when he wraps that meaty hand of his around your head and muffles your screams. once he pins you to the floor and starts nibbling at your soft flesh, you’ll be helpless and weak, and it’ll only take him a second before he draws blood. he hates himself for wanting to violate you like that, but the thought makes him salivate.

you don’t know the real world like ITTO and the others does, and he wishes to keep it that way. concepts like innocence and pure are too philosophical for the bull hybrid’s taste, but he wishes to keep you safe. he’s been ridiculed, scorned, and cursed at for simply existing. part of him knows its paranoia, part of him believes it, and a small part of him wishes that you continue to hide in the haven you’ve made for yourself.

RELATIONSHIPS: itto’s quite friendly with the entire inazuman group, ready to loop them in for some fun whether they like it or not. due to his outgoing nature, he’s also made friends with the others as well, especially xiao, and seems to be oblivious to his mythical status with his laments about his poor, small figure. aether keeps a tired yet amused smile at his tirades, but makes sure to keep you away from him to avoid his bad influence.

GOROU joins your family after being wrangled by the neck by itto, who had loudly proclaimed that he had found dinner. when he bursts in the front doors, there’s a yipping dog digging its canines into his hand. someone briefly mentions that bulls are supposed to be herbivores, but all you can think about how cute the puppy is. slowly creeping to the shiba inu, you gently stretch out a hand and start petting its soft fur. the small thing flicks its eyes to you and bares its teeth to growl, but a particularly good scratch has it whimpering timidly.

GOROU just might be the only sane one from the inazuman hybrids, minus thoma, who’s more or less subservient to you and ayato. he’s usually frantically running back and forth keeping an eye on itto (“humans are not to be held like that!”) and heizou (“do not try to eat kazuha again!”). when he’s not trying to keep it all together, he likes training in the open field out back, and his night time routines are often spent with other fluffy tail boys, who sit in a circle to groom each others tails. you’re part of this too, often finding yourself groomed by the others too.

he’s a respected warrior, and he likes to help out around the house too. GOROU is fairly amiable and gullible, so he often plays the straight man of many pranks. he’s strict with himself and with others, but not a lot of people take him seriously, especially with ears and tail as fluffy as that. it’s quite troubling for him, and he doesn’t appreciate it when people stroke his ears out of the blue or ruffle his preciously groomed tail.

although young, he likes to present himself as respectable and responsible. after all, he wants you to trust him, to come to him whenever you need help! but it doesn’t help that whenever GOROU is engaged in a duel, his more base instincts come out and the heat of the fight rushes in his head. he’s growling and scratching the floor, he shoots with a precise aim but doesn’t neglect the use of all four limbs. you find it endearing how embarrassed he becomes when he’s finally relaxed after the duel and you of all people had to see him like that. while you coo and comfort him about how cool he was, all the other hybrids exchange a look— that wasn’t about being cool, it was a show of primal instincts.

GOROU values your approval and affection more than anything in this world. it’s why he works so tirelessly to become a man you can rely on. he doesn’t allow himself to be clingy, but with some encouragement, he’ll immediately melt in your touch and he won’t let go. he sees you like a being near to divinity– if not divinity itself. your touch cleanses him, your voice soothes him, and should you give him a command, he’ll carry it out with perfect execution. he’s been demeaned as a brainless dog by society, an animal instead of an equal, but for you, he’ll proudly carry that title with blood on its name.

if you’re looking to gain more than what you currently have, GOROU is the perfect lackey to have. it’s not to say that all your dear hybrids are more than happy to follow your pursuit of greatness, but they all have their underlying agendas when it comes to you. meanwhile, GOROU’s wants and needs are all based on yours. he doesn’t need to have any other agendas— all he wants is for you to hold him for the night, bloody mess and all.

RELATIONSHIPS: gorou is usually yelling and running after itto, mostly failing to get him wrangled and disciplined. he’s only ever relaxed around kazuha and aether, who both patiently listen to his grumbles and complaints. the three of them are part of the unofficial tail society of the manor, who along with the other fluffy tail-havers like to sit in a circle and groom each other’s tails.

there was once a time when common household products mysteriously disappeared from your cabinets. it whipped the servants into quite a fright, and rumors of a ghost haunting the halls were popular for a time. it was only when a servant found a small cavern in the side of the hill’s landscape, where the said products were organized meticulously, did they find the culprit— a handsome boy sporting feline eyes and a pair of fluffy ears and tail to boot. when ALBEDO meets your eyes, the wildcat hybrid smiles in a way that would make any romantic’s heart flutter.

“apologies for the inconvenience i may have brought you,” he says in a voice like a fairytale prince’s. “i should have introduced myself sooner instead of stealing from your cabinets. but as you can see,” he poi kntedly stares at the dozen wary eyes behind your back. “... i may have gotten a bit shy in the presence of such… intimidating companions.”

ALBEDO is almost immediately absolved of all sin. who can get mad at such a pretty face? even your head maid who had been angrily fuming and ranting these past weeks immediately quickly turned all sparkly-eyed and accommodating as soon as albedo sent a charming smile her way. he becomes a quick favorite among the staff, because oh, he’s so nice to talk to! all these scary hybrids are either brooding or scheming or scarily strong and here’s this angel from above come to give them a sense of normality! he’s not nicknamed prince for nothing!

you always feel at ease around ALBEDO, and you like how gentle he is with you. his words are soft-spoken and carefully chosen, and he listens to your insecurities with a patient ear. he shares with you advice and his own perspective of things (albeit a bit flat on the social aspects), and he draws you little doodles to cheer you up. you both have a little game that you play where he draws on his sketchpad and you try to guess what it is before he finishes it. he always finds a way to trick you though, so you never guess correctly. he laughs quietly when you declare that one day you’ll figure it out, and pout when he ruffles your hair like a big brother.

ALBEDO likes how… warm you feel next to him. a favorite past time of his is accompanying you on your strolls and observe the wildlife with you. his hands squeeze yours as you point out the funny cloud in the sky or when you ask about a specific type of flora. if you’re sleepy, you often nap on his lap under the shade of a tree. he can feel his heartbeat racing as his fingers stroke your chin and trace your eyelids, and his big fluffy tail wraps your torso protectively. all he hears is the skritches of his pencil against paper and your faint snoring.

ALBEDO is… passive. strangely so, amidst a harem of dangerous hybrids. he makes it a point to never admit his feelings out loud. to verbalize such fantasies about you, the one who keeps him sheltered, it feels disrespectful to you. you’re too naive of the outside world, too innocent of the darker recesses of the human, er, hybrid mind. he wants to protect this innocence, because there’s too much darkness already in the world.

he hides away in his study, pencil against paper scratching away as his eyes zero in this unfinished portrait. he plans to make a portrait of your likeness, but none of these copies can compare to the real deal. an eye is too off, the nose too thin, the smile not pretty enough. he doodles some little yous on the corner of his scrapped portraits… and blushes furiously. he tears up the indecency and throws them on the fire.

is it so terrible to want to play with you a little? he may put on the big brother act now, but that’s mostly because he likes seeing the expressions you make whenever he praises you. your expressions are so interesting, despite them being like any other human’s. exactly what makes him so drawn to you? it’s a research topic he must explore one day. but for now, ALBEDO is content to play house with you for a little while, and shut away his more sexual instincts for a little while longer. there’d be plenty of time to experiment on you later, once he’s reached his limits. for now, he’ll let the potion simmer for a little while longer ♡

RELATIONSHIPS: albedo often shuts himself away from everyone and stay inside his lil old lab conducting experiments and the like, but once in a while there are people who drag him out. he often experiments on a disgruntled aether, who he bribes with mora. cyno thinks of him as a like-minded friend, but tighnari thinks that the way albedo stares at the jackal is much like a scientist staring at microbes under a glass.

ALBEDO

• I think he smells like nothing most of the time

• You only feel cold air when you stand next to him because he's in Dragonspine a lot

• Subtle notes of charcoal which he uses as an art tool or of strong chemicals cling onto him on some days

ALHAITHAM

• I also don't think he smells like anything on most days, maybe only like the fresh clothes he's wearing

• Though he has a faint scent of coconut to him. It could be the shampoo or the skin care products he's using, but it's mostly because of his body lotion

AYATO

• His hair always smells like the shampoo he uses. So sugary and sweet, like vanilla cake or bubblegum

• But for his body and clothes he uses expensive clean and powdery fragrances

• Quite the combo, I must say💀 Strange, just like his taste in food

BAIZHU

• Smells like expensive bar soap. A mix of aloe vera and ginger

• Also smells kinda sour because of the herbs he works with

CYNO

• Smells like pure white musk which smells great

• But it can be quite intense on some days when he decides to go overboard with his sprays

• He's sweating at the end of the day but the smell is subtle

DAINSLEIF

• He smells like the environment he was in. Often it's nature. Every now and then he smells like the rain too

• Also smells kinda dusty, like that basement smell you know? People either love it or hate it.

DILUC

• He smells warm and homely. Notes of cedar, sandalwood, or cinnamon

• But you'd have to stand really close to him to smell anything, his coat kinda dulls the scent

• Of course, he always smells like the vineyard and grapes during the harvest

FREMINET

• Smells fresh like bar soap. It's almost unnoticeable. It has a light scent of baby powder

• His clothes smell like chamomile because of the fabric softener he uses

GAMING

• This fella smells like cocoa butter because he uses it as body lotion

• I can also imagine that he carries an aroma of caramel/burnt sugar

• Bro eats so much dim sum, he often smells like the food he ate

GOROU

• I don't think he has a particular scent

• But his home/room smells like cinnamon, cloves, and oranges. The scent kinda rubs off on him

HEIZOU

• He wears body mists with floral notes. His favorites are maybe roses, lavender, or honeysuckle

• He likes to keep a little lavender sachet in his closet, so his clothes also smell like flowers

ITTO

• Idk, he probably smells like someone who's outside a lot. He has that outside smell, you know what I mean?

• He probably wears a musky fragrance, but it usually mixes with his sweat

KAEYA

• My bro is using all sorts of Arabian oils and fragrances. He has some with the notes of oud, musk, amber, and much more. Kaeya has a whole collection

• He smells divine and he knows it because people compliment him every day

• But like Venti, he drinks a lot, so his scent mixes with the wine odor

KAVEH

• Kaveh likes to wear fruity, tropical fragrances because he's always craving chilled fruits, especially on days that are hotter than usual.

• They also remind him of the days on which he sat in front of his house with his parents and ate watermelons

• Also has an alcohol odor sometimes like his fellas in Mondstadt

KAZUHA

• He uses a fabric softener because he likes his clothes to be extra comfortable. That's why he often smells like fresh laundry

• Because he spends a lot of his free time in nature, he probably also smells like grass or firewood

LYNEY

• Berries. He always smells like berries.

• He won't tell you what his secret is

• You guess every product he uses has the scent of berries. His bodywash, his shampoo, his body lotion, his deodorant, his fabric softener, the candle in his room, his lip balm, etc. Even his toothpaste...

NEUVILLETTE

• This sir smells like the ocean. Like the sea breeze. Like water itself.

• Yeah, he likes expensive-smelling aquatic colognes. Though occasionally he also uses citrusy perfumes

TARTAGLIA

• Something tells me that he either smells like expensive aquatic fragrances

• Or he smells like an old lady mixed with the aroma of nature, grass, firewood, animals, etc.

THOMA

• He probably likes to wear sweet scents like tonka bean and honey

• Or even perfumes with fruity notes like peach or pear

• He would smell quite fresh and idk, breezy?

• Like a fresh breath of air in spring if you know what I mean

• But since he's drunk most of the time the overbearing odor of wine sticks to him

WANDERER

• Nahida gifted him a citrus perfume and he has been using it ever since

• He likes bitter smells too, so he bought himself bitter perfumes with bergamot, bitter orange, and grapefruit notes

WRIOTHESLEY

• I think he wears a perfume which has woody, earthy notes. Sometimes he has a fresh minty smell to him too

• When he fights the scents obviously mix with his sweat

• I also think a light scent of motor oil sticks to him

XIAO

• Most of the days he smells literally like nothing, or sweat. It's not overbearing though

• But there are some days on which he smells super sweet, like vanilla, cotton candy, a baked treat or something

• It's either because he ate those things or because he has body sprays with these scents. He won't tell you

ZHONGLI

• If you're standing close to him, you'll smell his pleasant cologne scent

• It could be musky or woody, but he usually wears floral scents like osmanthus

• His scent mixes with the aroma of tea leaves or herbs which he gets from wandering in the market and drinking tea the whole day

characters !! all the genshin men i could think of rn...

note !! it's been a while since i've written hcs for a lot! aaaah just some thoughts i had today (i had a few culture shocks here and there when i met up with new friends hahahah)

~ m o n d s t a d t ~

grabbing zhongli by the hand to dance and sing in the middle of the square because mondstadters live for the festivities! he quickly learns to freestyle dance along with you, moving with the crowd and cheers and wine. (remember that Tangled scene? yes)

kaveh wasn't sure how to react the day you ordered hard liquor on your first date. sure, your freedom and love for a good drink is one of the things which made him fall for you but wow– are you really gonna down that many glasses on a date? what do you mean you're still sober?

ayato finds himself in love with the way you sing. it doesn't follow the rules of inazuman opera at all; it's much more freeing (much like how his house help sings as he does chores) and you'd tell him stories and the history of your homeland in the form of songs. no mondstadter could ever forget the songs they grew up listening to!

heizou being almost appalled by your rather... robust and reckless nature. you don't have any backup plans whenever a situation goes south, you simply hold his hand, smile, and say "we go where the wind blows!"

~ l i y u e ~

diluc having chopsticks as part of your dining utensils because sometimes, you're more comfortable eating with it (let's not forget often having rice on the table! he must learn the joys of garlic rice with his steak <3)

dainsleif stays by your side as you offer incense and fruits to your ancestors. he whispers quiet prayers, bows when you do, and helps you clean their altars. he finds solace in the familial piety of liyuens– it makes him wish he could honor his ancestors with the same kind of peace as you do.

kazuha getting tongue tied over the language being so similar to inazuman but also so different– why are some of the characters the same? why are the meanings different? there's a bit of miscommunication in the start, but you both find your own ways to understand each other when words fail.

we all know gorou has always wanted to climb the mountains of liyue and you made it possible! meeting him by the docks and touring him around your home nation, you made sure to pick hiking routes with the most scenic spots, even managing to tour him around the jade palace and the floating lone island.

~ i n a z u m a ~

kaeya has no idea how you sit on the floor while being comfortable. you've made him sit with you once while reading a book, after that, his bones ached for days! shaking every time he stood back up!

albedo met you in the irodori festival- he painted you for practice and spark between you started. the long distance was difficult at first, but his long letters always had a little drawing of you and you'd send back the scent of cherry blossoms. klee would also send you letters, asking you to come visit soon!

childe loves a new fighting style; like most sword users in inazuma, you followed the raiden shogun's teachings– swift, efficient, and at one with the sword. he loves how you fight and it's often how you end your dates!

cyno was almost confident that you were playing a prank the day you said you'll make him your specialty and you showed him a platter of raw seafood. it's "sashimi and ngiri" you say, and he waited for you to explain the pun of your joke. it wasn't a joke.

~ s u m e r u ~

thoma is quite used to mondstadters and inazumans, two very different cultures, then he meets you and your sumeru upbringing! you show him how to cook foods that can be eaten with hands, and your menu is often so colorful he can't help but admire it!

itto doesn't really understand the study culture of sumeru, but he totally supports whatever it is you're talking about and tries to add in comments (his comments don't exactly make sense though...)

scaramouche, in his "path of redemption and healing", unwillingly gets involved with you as you show him around the beautiful parts of sumeru! you argue that he needs a different, better outfit with a color scheme that matches his vision. he insists that the hat stays. you tell him he looks like an aranara.

~ s n e z h n a y a ~

al haitham was almost concerned the day you got a heatstroke after being in the desert for no more than a few minutes. snezhnaya has prepared you for harsh weather, but never the heat. soon enough your lover is carrying around heatstroke-first aid packs just for you.

bundling up tighnari's fluffy ears before setting foot in snezhnaya because you just know the cold would practically freeze them off. his tail also gets wrapped and bundled warm in the large coats you wear, protection from the harsh snow. he says he looks like a big lummox.

note !! alright, choose your favorite dynamic! i personally think mondstadters with liyue/inazuma would be interesting maybe because i want to force feed them the joys of rice...

It seemed the roles were reversed. Our dear players have turned into a newly released character, and the characters have turned into streamers.

When these characters saw your trailer, they were hyped. Not only were you a powerful harbinger, but you were also the 1st harbinger! (and hawt too lmao) They did tons of streams talking and trying to figure you out before you officially got released. Leaks can spread around easily, which got to them. Many Y/N fans went to their streams because they mainly talked about you. And when your foul legacy form was announced? ohohoho. Let’s just say that they were announced as the biggest simps ever. (body pillow of you? maybe.) Albedo, Childe (award for buying the most figurines of you), Gorou, Ayato, Kazuha, Zhongli

(Albedo has fanart of you in his room that he drew during stream lol) (Childe definitely traumatized his brother by saying that a 3d harbinger anime guy should be his husband or smth.)

Have you ever seen a Genshin video/stream do rituals for summoning their favorite characters? Ahem. These characters have bought candles, your favorite food, and written your name a hundred times so that they could have a better success rate of getting you. Candles in a circle, your name on paper scattered around, and your favorite food in the middle. Everyone chanted your name on the stream as per requested by them for the monthly ritual. Kinda sounds like a cult now. (And yes, they sacrificed characters in the game lol) Ah, but of course the foul legacy part. These characters have done these rituals before even knowing what you looked like. However, when they saw you and who you were, these rituals were done daily. (Even if you weren’t on the banner and they have you already at C6) Fischl, Childe, Itto

When these characters saw you, they already thought you were hot. If you were real, they would date you. Marriage would be preferable though. However, when your foul legacy form came on the screen, they blushed so hard. Everyone: Xiao, Childe, Zhongli, Diluc, Kaeya (probably smirked and flirted), Ayato, Kazuha, etc.

Everywhere you see in their house, are pictures and fanart of you. So proud of it that they show their house to their stream daily. Especially in their bedroom, there are pictures of you in your foul legacy form. Way too many. Would pretend you are real in their pictures and talk to you. In their living room, they have a big picture of you and the other harbingers. They like to call themselves a Y/N enthusiast. (would daydream about you in public) Itto, Kujou Sara (Except she would be more secretive about it and have a stash of Y/N related things), Keqing (Same as Sara), Fischl

This person is very nice. They play playlists from YouTube on their stream while playing your character. They can’t and won’t fight you for materials like Childe’s boss fights which gives them materials. They refuse to because they feel it’ll hurt you in-game :(. Even if you’re hot in your foul legacy form, no. Though they must admit, everyone freaked out including them about your foul legacy form. They almost fell out of their chair from the shock of how good-looking you were. Bennett (becoming lucky from not falling from the chair?), Fischl (would probably cosplay you), Sucrose

" he said as he walks and moves showing her a place to sit, he looks at her as he can easily tell she was nervous but he didn't bring it up because she was being strong for her kingdom

(After dealing with the offender) They'll leave their hand on your shoulder, your waist, or your hip, and pull you in close to them, and hold you like this for as long as they are with you. They won't be afraid to plant kisses up and down your neck, shoulder, and jaw while he's at it too.

He'll do anything to tell others to back off because you're already taken by him.

...they've missed you so much

Alhaitham, Ayato, Tighnari, Albedo, Xiao

"Clingy" isn't really in their vocabulary, but during the times you've been away for a while, they'll show how much they've missed you by almost never leaving your side, following you around like a lost puppy.

Going to the kitchen for a snack? Well, they're suddenly hungry and will go with you too. Going out to get some groceries? He'll offer to come with you help you carry the bags. Reading a book? He'll grab one to read and sit beside you. Even if you two aren't speaking and are simply doing your own things, he'll want to be wherever you are. Your presence alone is enough to make him happy.

I think they'd also give you more kisses than usual as well: kissing you when you arrive home, kissing you before he leaves, or simply kissing you out of nowhere to enjoy the look of surprise on your face.

Kaveh, Cyno, Diluc

After a long day of work, he'll come home and would immediately go to hug you from behind, clinging to your waist as he nuzzles his face into your back. Hugging you like this eases him, and with your warm hand holding his arms wrapped around you and leaning into his touch, all of his stress would begin to wash away.

Kaveh would totally be the type to vent about his day, then leaving kisses up and down your back as he tells you how much you ease his mind and how much he adores you. His adoration will only skyrocket if you choose to turn him around and return his flurry of kisses. At this point, he'd come to an epiphany; Instead of drowning in his sorrows, he'd rather drown in you.

On the other hand, I see Cyno and Diluc being the type to hug you in silence, simply relishing the feeling of you in his arms and calming himself as he listens to your heartbeat.

They'd stay like this for a while. You are his source of comfort, both physically and emotionally, so of course he'd cling onto you when he's had a rough day.

...they think of ever losing you

When they think of how there will eventually come a time where you will no longer be there with him, it pains him extraordinarily. He doesn't want to think of such thoughts, yet, he knows that he must understand the reality of it.

Like the previous category, he'll also hug you out of nowhere, embracing you so tightly that you could feel the pounding of his heart against his chest and deeply inhaling your scent that he so adores. He'll keep you in his arms for the longest time without saying a word. There would be no need for words to tell you that he desperately needed to hold you, to shield you in his arms and protect you, wishing that his embrace could keep you safe and sound with him for the eternity he'll have to live for.

He doesn't want to let you go, so let him enjoy the remaining time he has with you.

...they crave your affection

Baizhu, Gorou, Kazuha, Thoma

They'd be a shy and romantic type of clingy, wanting more of your touch, wanting to be held by you, and wanting more of your love, but being hesitant to ask for it directly. They wouldn't want you to see them as needy and end up warding you off as a result.

So they'll attempt to be subtle with their desire, extending his hand out you when you're in a crowd, brushing off a strand of hair that may be in your face, gently holding the small of your back as you two walk, and finding any other opportunity to touch you in a helpful or kind manner for as long as he can.

It's when you finally return his affections will he feel free to be more forward with his own. When you'd place your on hand on his, or cup his cheek, he will immediately melt into your touch, holding your hand tighter or taking your cupped hand and kissing your palm.

Play with their hair, dance your fingers on his skin, caress his cheeks, do anything to show your affection for him and he'll fold so easily for you, further begging you for it by reciprocating your actions and maybe even more 🤭

they're just clingy IN GENERAL

Venti, Itto

They hold a lot of love for you and it SHOWS. It'll be a complete combination of all categories up to this point. If you leave the room, it doesn't matter where you're going, he's going with you. He wants to be close to you and will want to have his hands on you nearly the entire time. Heck, he will literally cling onto you like a leech, clinging onto your arm or waist. He's not planning on leaving your side or letting you go anytime soon.

Brace yourself because he'll also talk your ear off at the same time too, either by talking about some random thing, complimenting you in the weirdest of ways, or telling you the cheesiest of pick-up lines.

Like, I see Itto suddenly pulling out an onikabuto from his pocket to gift you, saying, "My love for you is like this Onikabuto- big and impossible to break 😌". On the other hand, I think Venti would be much smoother and Shakespearean with his words tbh lol

You'll also catch them staring at you for long periods of time and when you call them out on it, they'll simply respond, "Can you blame me? It's hard not to stare when you're just too beautiful" and would give you a cheeky wink.

ZHONGLI has a calendar to predict when you may have your monthly periods and even has stacked up tea leaves or something that he knows would be able to calm you down before your mood can worsen or fluctuate into something negative. He’d accompany that along with comforting kisses or hugs if you ask for them, or if he instinctively feels like you do–you can be quite pouty and look up at him expectantly whenever you do, so he does look out for those times.

“Hm? Is my beloved asking for kisses?” At times, he couldn’t help but tease you, but it’s purely because of his adoration, “not to worry, I shall fulfill all of my beloved’s wishes.”

Just be there to comfort her.”

In time, he eventually became more aware of the things you’d need and the routine you mostly stick with–which mostly consists of lying down, craving for food, eating based on your cravings, sleeping, and repeat. You can work whenever you can, but sometimes, the pain does hinder you to be as productive as you usually are. He does not judge you for it, actually, he’s the one who insists you rest more every time your monthly period comes.

“Xiao, I can stand up and get it on my own, you know-”

“And I can as well. You must not tire yourself any further, I can hand you over what you need.” he sends you a look when you were about to say something, “No buts.”

KAZUHA with his extreme care and patience. He’s definitely one of the bests to be with at this time of the month. He’d be the one initiating cuddles with you, or for you to rest on his lap as he whistles with a leaf or recites poems he had made for you while he was away. His voice is so calming that sometimes you’ll soon find yourself falling asleep; by the time you wake, he will still be there with you, taking your hand to his and kissing its back as he smiles at you warmly “Had a good rest, dove?”. Sometimes, he’d take you home since it was already approaching nighttime, but sometimes, you will find him also drifted off to sleep. At times like these do you realize—or is reminded of how pretty your lover really is.

He’d be frantic and would probably even take a break from his work just to be with you–it’s to make up for forgetting about it, he’d say, and that “You know I’ll do anything for you,” rather dramatically. So yes, whatever you ask, he’ll come to get it for you. He’s such a people pleaser–actually, more like Y/n pleaser?

GOROU knows. Your body is significantly warmer than before and he can smell the faint scent of blood due to his naturally heightened senses.

Whenever this happens, he’ll be extra careful about what he says or do, in particular, asking you occasionally if you are in need of something–food, drinks, you name it! He can even bring you to Ritou if you say so, but he’ll be slightly worried that you would be exhausted before you can even go there. So he does have a habit of asking you if you want him to carry you–he’s really strong, you know?! Why are you always denying his suggestion, anyway? He’s the General for a reason, after all!

His ears would droop down every time you reject him, and you always end up trying to cheer him up instead–which is not that hard as anything you do can fluster or make him happy anyway.

CYNO’s knowledge of menstruation is only limited to just that. Knowledge. He never actually dealt with it personally as it was just a passing subject he had encountered in one of his studies back in his days at the Akademiya as a student. But he does remember most of the facts about them… and would use it as a joke one time when he didn’t know what to say or do when all you asked was to cuddle with him. You only turned to stare at him a couple of seconds before giggling–“Was that… funny?” “Hm… maybe!”—even if it wasn’t funny, looking at him and seeing that blank expression on his face makes it funny. But you don’t really have the heart to tell him it wasn’t his jokes that made you laugh… so you just let him think otherwise.

Later on, you found yourself stuck in a predicament where he tries to tell you jokes–to help distract you from the pain, mostly, but he guesses it’s working because you do giggle most of the time.

AYATO, despite his busy schedule, does take care of you personally, and if he couldn’t he’ll ask either his sister or trusted retainer to do so in his stead–which is rare, only when he’s in an emergency meeting or when an unexpected schedule drags him out of your arms. At the end of the day, however, he makes sure that he will come home as soon as he could and ask you how your day has been and would promise to spend the next day with you even more.

Actually, he’s also like this even without your monthly period, but you can still sense the immense amount of patience and gentleness from him at these times, even if you weren’t in the mood to even talk to him or are annoyed at every little thing. He’d give you space when you need, it but is there if you’d ask for him or anything else.

AL-HAITHAM also knows your schedule like the back of his hand. Despite being so calm and very collected, sometimes cold, you’ll just know he cares very deeply because he actually takes care of you at this time of the month. He does have a habit of telling you quite useful facts about menstruation though. Well, most of the time, you just let him ramble off on his own because you like listening to his voice even if the things he says are quite boring.

“Are you even listening?” he’d chuckle to himself, “I know you’re pretending to sleep just to not answer my question, you know.”

Despite this, he presses a soft kiss on your forehead and lets you lie down while he reads his book aloud–a new topic you didn’t care a thing about, but his soothing voice was enough to drive you off to a peaceful sleep.

ALBEDO knows when you will have your monthly period before you can. Would just randomly blurt out a reminder for you the moment you will see him packing both of your things to return to Mondstadt after staying in his lab in Dragonspine. After all, you will need the warmth and comfort of the things that are not really much seen in Dragonspine–like food, a nice and comfortable bed, and a warm compress for your aches. He also has a painkiller potion with him always, either to hand it over to you when he sees you having a hard time or give them whenever he’s not there. The reason why he doesn’t just give it to you beforehand is that he doesn’t want you to drown in the potion–too much can be dangerous, after all.

“Wow, this actually tastes good, bedo!” you’d smile brightly, to which he replies with “Of course, I made sure that they’d suit your taste. Did it work with the pain?”

“Yeah, it’s magical! And… my cravings stopped, kind of? Was that intentional?”

He smiles, “So it worked, that’s good.”

“Wait… that was? Amazing…”

genshin boys snowball fight with you

premise: you ask the genshin boys (separate) to partake in a snowball fight with you! features: itto, razor, thoma, gorou, bennett, albedo notes: part 2 coming soon. possible future characters: chongyun, xingqiu, venti, zhongli, ayato, kazuha, kaeya, diluc, scaramouche, childe, or heizou!

itto

– he loves snowball fights; he’s so excited

– you can expect the whole arataki gang to take part in extreme snowball warfare

– in the snow, itto becomes the experienced and strategic general, leading his troops to victory

– you’re under his command, of course (he just wouldn’t bear to see you on the enemy side)

– you and genta are crouched down behind a blockade of snow, but itto stands tall and seriously, looking down

– you chuckle as he addresses you and an invisible audience of several thousand nonexistent soldiers

– he sounds like a wizened warrior when he delivers an encouraging speech about making a last stand

– then a snowball hits him in the shoulder

– he falls dramatically to his knees, clutching his shoulder and grimacing

– “c–captain!” akira wails, both of you shuffling over to him

– itto grits his teeth and smiles through the ‘pain’. “it’s just a scratch. the battle must go on.”

– he promptly jumps up and charges across the battlefield to the other team’s snow fort, dodging and swatting projectiles out of the air

– he bends down to scoop up handfuls of snow and hurls them at akira, mamoru, and shinobu in the other base, never breaking his stride

– you and genta follow him, laughing and hollering at the others cowering behind their snow barrier

– oh how the turn tables

– suddenly you hear itto shouting to you, “look out, soldier!”

– before you can process it, itto’s outstretched, diving sideways in front of you and bellowing, “sacrificeeeee,” as a snowball hits him square in the chest

– he lands on the snow and immediately starts writhing

– “AAAAH IT’S SO COLD!”

– “itto!” you scold him, “this is why you can’t be half–nude in the snow!”

– “[n–name]! i mean––Soldier, help meeee~”

– you help itto stand up and the fight continues

– later, everyone is unsurprised when itto comes down with a cold

razor

– he hasn’t been in a snowball fight before, so you’ll have to explain it to him

– at first, he just bats snowballs out of the air with his hands

– will confusedly throw handfuls of snow until you laugh and tell him no, razor, you’re supposed to make it into a ball!

– does his best to make snowballs but they end up varying in size and shape like a misshapen collection of white rocks

– when he does make a successful snowball, he’ll turn towards you in excitement: his eyes will sparkle and he‘ll have the tiniest smile curving his lips

– if you praise his nicely shaped snowball, he’ll blush and smile wider

– by then it will have fallen apart and melted a bit so he’ll wilt with disappointment

– but then you can just make one for him and he’ll treasure it until it also melts

– he’ll keep adding snow and packing it together to make it last longer

– when he makes more snowballs himself, he doesn’t want to throw them at you, so he just gives them to you

– when hit with a snowball, he’ll look down uncertainly at the snow on his clothes

– but if he gets snow in his hair he’ll shake his head in a dog–like fashion

– he’s seen some rare snowball fights between ayaka and ayato in their youth, but even when they asked him to join he felt pretty hesitant; after all, they are the young master and missus of the kamisato household

– so when you ask him to join you in a snowball fight, he's a bit nervous but happy to oblige

– he’s tentative to throw them at first because he doesn’t want to hit you

– but he acquiesces when you insist, telling him you feel guilty pelting him with snow when he isn’t trying to do the same

– he’s careful not to throw them too hard, though

– and if there’s any semblance that you’ve hurt yourself, he’ll rush over to you and check if you’re okay

– at one point, your attempt at dodging leads you to fall backward into the snow

– thoma immediately drops his next snowball and hurries to your side

– “i’m so sorry! are you okay?” he asks worriedly. “let me help you up.”

– he leans forward and stretches out a hand

– you startle him by pulling him down onto the snow beside you

– “let’s make snow angels,” you beam

– thoma just likes spending time with you, so as long as you have fun, he’s happy

– as he relaxes, he ends up having more fun than he thought

gorou

– he’s had a couple of snowball fights in his life, but never one as fun as that with you

– he’s startlingly light on the snow which prevents him from sinking down as he steps

– it’s probably a dog thing

– as opposed to you, who’s knee–deep in the snow... for once, gorou looks tall (he looks offended when you tell him this)

– his weightlessness comes to his advantage. he agilely maneuvers around the snow, dodging the snowballs you throw at him

– he’ll dig holes in the snow to hide in and pitch snowballs long–distance at you

– it doesn't help that his weapon is a bow; expect him to throw with deadly accuracy

– he might even establish a whole tunnel system that runs beneath the snow: also probably a dog thing

– good luck finding him

– (but if you’re on the same team, he‘ll lead you through the tunnels)

– when he gets hit, he’ll continue on as if nothing happens: a soldier always perseveres

– unless, of course, the snow tickles his ears or he’s been hit too many times. in that case, he’ll squeeze his eyes shut and shake similarly to a wet dog

– take this opportunity to touch his ears by brushing the snow off them!! of course, if you ask nicely normally he'd let you and only you touch them

– if he gets hot, he’ll eat the snow to cool down like the habit of sled dogs

– overall, he's like a doggo in the snow. a deadly doggo

bennett

– his vision may be pyro, but he loves snowball fights

– he's badgered kaeya in the past to make it snow for him, and you and the cryo user have had to explain that's not how it works

– so as soon as you two find snow, bennett immediately wants to have a snowball fight

– he might get so excited he accidentally starts melting the snow around him

– the best way to describe him is a wild snowball machine gun: he makes a huge pile of snowballs in 30 seconds then chucks them all in true machine gun fashion

– he will also throw other people’s snowballs if he sees them around, so if you have your own pile, you better watch out!

– or just make snowballs for him to throw––he’ll like that

– when he gets hit by a snowball he just laughs with glee and puts in more effort

– he will try to make the biggest snowball ever and gives it to you to play catch:

“[name]~ throw it here!”

you eye the basketball–sized snowball which is already crumbling in your hands. “uh, bennett, i don’t think that’s gonna work.”

“just try.” He gestures excitedly.

“...if you say so.”

– it is safe to say that bennett is now completely covered in one basketball’s worth of snow

albedo

– he works in the snowy mountains of dragonspine, yet he’s never had a snowball fight

– however, when klee visits him there and you’re also present, you sometimes have snowball fights with her

– so one day klee asks albedo to join you two in one of your snowball fights

– he ends up squatting down and working the whole time making one perfect snowball: perfectly shaped, compacted, weighted, and aerodynamic (albedo...snowballs aren’t meant to be perfect, you tell him)

– mumbles equations to himself with pinpoint focus on the snow in his hands, ignoring the snowballs whizzing past him as you and klee battle for your lives

– when you hit him, it’s an accident; you were aiming for klee, but your pitching trajectory was a bit too far down

– your snowball smacks him directly in the back of his head, and you and klee both gasp

– apologies flood from your mouth, and you brace yourself for his annoyance as his head slowly swivels around, still squatting

– he merely offers you a small fond smile and holds up his snowball to show you his progress

– overall, he’s thankful that you are nice to klee, and he’s glad you both had fun

– he may even bring a sample of snow back to his lab because your snowball fight has given him an idea
