Respecting creepypasta content creators

I have completely rid my tik tok account of my headcanons and AU lore so..the videos are gone.

I am bored of creepypasta if I’m entirely honest and I feel that the fandom is never gonna be a place where stuff is fully accepted and welcome, call me sensitive or dramatic, that’s alright, this is something I need off my mind and into yours.

I am 17 and I’ve been in the fandom since I was around 7…I’ve seen it change and I’ve seen more and more people leave and forget about it, they’re all so valid for it.

We used to hate when a creator disowned a character, but to be honest creators were nearly all pushed out of the fandom.

Disowning your own hard work is such a horrible thing to do, it shows how bad the fandom is.

I understand those creators now and realise that there has always been a huge lack of respect for the creators work and boundaries.

The fandom misconstrue and under appreciate efforts.

I myself have received immense hate for re stating canon, spreading information about mental health, designing an AU with my own versions of the creepypasta’s and trying my best to change mischaracterisation.

In return, death threats, rudeness, plagiarism and just straight up harassment is something I dealt with non stop.

Yes, that’s fucking insane, all I did was make headcanons and fanfics.

I have also felt forced at times to put out content.

I don’t want to feel like that on Tik tok of all places, somewhere I go to post my interests, I don’t make a profit off it.

I didn’t deserve any of the negativity.

I felt like I wasn’t in control of my own content, and when I would post it would be an issue of people constantly asking me for something else. That is partly my fault for not setting more boundaries, I will take responsibility for that.

Believe it or not it’s mostly the adults of the fandoms, who act like they know more and are of higher status than the younger fans, it truely breaks my heart when I see older fans be so cruel towards teenagers showing their skill or progression with writing or drawing.

We all preach that creepypasta should be fun yet it’s the most hateful and toxic community ever, mainly because of its past and people being unwilling to move on from it.

It’s not a fanon over canon argument it’s the fact that people cant learn basic respect for creators and other peoples creative decisions or designs.

I don’t mind posting the odd analysis or thoughts post for slenderverse characters and series due to the fandom being extremely welcoming to others opinions and the enjoyment you guys get out of reading them.

However that will remain on Tumblr, I will not take it to Tik Tok anymore.

You all still have full permission to use my AU or Headcanons for whatever you like, thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts and I’m glad I gave some people a more informed interpretation of characters and mental illness.

Please learn to respect each other and your favourite creators, it goes a long way and it does not dim the light in the fandom.

Man I skimmed through that "Gaster is the one who wrote the True Lab Entries" video that circulating and just...

It is such a peculiar video. Incredibly researched points yet small incorrect statements (e.g calling the Golden Flowers "Buttercups" or assuming Asgore didn't live in his New Home house????). Interesting points yet rather harsh to Alphys (it calls her a fraud like three times despite her overall accomplishing so much). Good analysis yet overlooking crucial details for the theory to work (such as "What is the narrative point of having Alphys's whole Arc closer not be her own accomplishments and failures?").

It's such a shame because the author evidently put a lot of time and thought into it, but it also feels like they are trying to push the theory together with pieces of a much more obvious puzzle. Missing the forest for the trees or something like that.

And alas, it now makes me want to see well written (or atleast decently understand) media that does involve Gaster and Alphys, because they do have a lot of potential when you aren't gutting one to fill another.

gonna be frank w you I don't know what you see in that video at all. "interesting points" it's just half an hour of making up inconsistencies that aren't there and then gutting all of Alphys' dedicated subplot to explain said inconsistencies (that aren't there) and give them to Gaster.

not only that, the entire assumption that gaster's work would be out there in the open and accessible through regular gameplay is such a complete misunderstanding of his character inspiration and theme. he's not meant to be found. in the original version of the game, his fun events were accessible through file editing ONLY. he very obviously plays off of easter eggs and creepypasta-like game secrets, so why would his entries just... be there. in the unskippable, story required segment of the pacifist run. it just speaks to a really clueless form of analysis where it's so obvious that the theorist hasn't considered authorial intent.

i am genuinely this close to deciding that the "symbols... or maybe it's the handwriting" you read on the workshop blueprints are actually just Alphys, no gaster involved. as petty revenge. see people argue against THAT for once.

just thinking about how the musical numbers in wonka are so much more fun when you think of them all as diegetic

(i’m gonna put a read more for courtesy but. please click it i put so much thought into this)

some of them are explicitly so-scrub scrub is stated to be the group’s work song, lofty says his own song and dance can’t be stopped once it starts, abacus cues the wash crew on beat as they work behind the scenes of the shop’s opening, etc. this doesn’t happen super often in musical movies nowadays, which adds to the whimsy of this one

in the original catcf book, the demise of each “bad kid” (and the ethics of that is a WHOLE different-and lengthy-post) gets a song from the oompa loompas, and all adaptations include those; the 2005 film is the only one to have no non-diegetic songs, while the 1971 film and west end/bway stage adaptation have loads. this prequel, however, seems to lean hard into the idea of wonka as a showman-but an earnest one-who brings not only a new taste but also a new sound to the Unnamed European City™️ that he turns upside down.

colin’s newfound confidence wins the day when barbara sees him singing and dancing on a table, which is apparently just the kind of adventure she was looking for. willy shows his plan to the wash crew by presenting it in a reprise of their song, like he’s speaking their language. it’s the sound of the newcomer’s siren song, not just the crowd, that draws the scheming cartel to their windows. there are so many interesting things revealed about the characters if you look at it that way

for a moment starts rather quietly, and noodle’s singing to herself; she doesn’t sing aloud to start, but then willy does, and he’s in perfect counterpoint to her melody that he’s barely even heard yet. then, by the end, she’s *really* singing, because she’s finally found someone who’ll listen. they literally invented siblingism i’m gonna cry

and don’t even get me started on sweet tooth. mat and paterson said in an interview that the cartel sort of stops being villainous the second the music starts, that their number is a seduction at its core, which is so damn true. the fact that it’s acknowledged as diegetic-the chief’s “why am i singing”, slugworth’s “let’s give him the big sell”, etc-means that this is something planned and practiced. there is so much comedy in that-scary powerful capitalists working on their fan choreography is a great image-but it also shows just how sinister they are. “conceal” rhymes with “deal”. they knew he’d say yes in the end. it was predetermined all along.

and a world of your own!! (this might not be a whole analysis paragraph i just wanted to say the way the pulse of the orchestration slowly builds starting at “chocolate bushes, chocolate trees” is so thrilling omg i felt like a kid again)

all this to say that i got sucked into this story for good upon hearing pure imagination for the first time in fourth grade and never looked back so it’s so neat that the prequel involves music in such a thoughtful way OKAY BYEEEEEEEE *mic drop*

DIGITAL CIRCUS ANALYSIS

pomni: praying for her wellbeing rn, hope she gets some digital therapy. 🙏

Cain: Less powerful than people assume, definitely not omnipotent and I don't think he's really the one in charge. In the teaser there's a scene where a black tendrils starts darkening the hallway and Cain can't immediately snap away from it, tou can see he slightly panics to get rid of it, he also doesn't have alot of security when it comes eith the humans, the void incident with Pomni, Kaufmo going abstract without being noticed, the fact he's obviously uncomfortable about the void. The description implies he's an AI but I'm not fully buying it yet.

Kinger: There was a room assigned to a Queen chess piece character, he's over fourty and "glitches" alot, I feel like the queen character might be related to why he's so skittish or unstable.

Gangle: Has a mask that I originally assumed was a comfort item but am now starting tk think actually has some kind of affect on them when they out it on, like making them happy. And I mean in the addicted to drugs way not the this item brings me comfort, I 100% believe that mask is made put of digital meth or something.

Jax: He's the only "human" character without an asymmetrical design, even Cain looks a bit wonky. He's always leaning from side to side like he's trying hide it, idk maybe I'm paranoid, it's shown he has sharp teeth when Zooble strangles him, does he talk through his teeth on purpose to make people less uncomfortable?

Ragatha: gets attacked alot, in her introduction she gets stabbed, and when she gets injured in the polite episode she acts like it's normal.

Zooble: Can't fully comprehend how awful it must be to be her, imagine waking up in a body that can be yanked apart like that. Nothing else to say really.

Bubble: Too wacky and I'm paranoid, fully suspecting this is gonna be a wooly the sheep situation where the lamb pulls the wool over our eyes while we're too focused on the "antagonist" Cain.

Kaufmo: not much to say right now other than I think he was purposely distracting Cain? It feels like his wacko watch should of gone off earlier, maybe Kaufmo did something to it and went through the void and that became his breaking point?

man i just love jouno & tecchou.

you see, I have read countless character analyses about these two, and i pretty much live for their relationship atp

jouno seems like your textbook sadist that derives pleasure from hurting and tormenting people, and tecchou is the only person that doesn't agree with this and he geniunely thinks jouno is someone who values justice at heart and wants to protect the weak, he completely trusts him when it comes to that actually.

jouno doesn't seem like he's aware of tecchou's absolute trust in him yet when it comes to this, a wonderful analysis that i read talked about this and said that he sees tecchou's nonchalance towards him and his behaviour as tecchou not taking him seriously or thinking that he's better than him, meanwhile tecchou just thinks that despite the way he appears, jouno is a good person and wouldn't do any of the things he always says he's capable of, which i agree with.

he trusts him so much.

i am gonna cry fr.

think about all the wonderful things that can happen with their relationship.

we can have jouno realize in a moment of crisis or weakness that despite everything that happened to him, tecchou always put his full trust in him and understood him unlike anyone else in his life, making him see tecchou in a completely different light from then on and the two getting much closer

or, we can have this happen and also have tecchou's trust for him completely broken by some kind of misunderstanding.

imagine the angst.

like, jouno finally realizes that this sadistic monster may not be his true nature after all and that he has someone that has his back through this, trusting him and understanding him at heart, and he's so happy about it and when he finally goes to tecchou to pour his heart out and thank him for everything tecchou just refuses to listen or look him in the eye, and says something like "i was wrong about you" with an absolutely disappointed and pained voice and draws his sword, much to jouno's shock and confusion, and his hands are shaking for the first time in his life

man.

🦈 Which character is the toughest to write? //checks works// I have written exactly 5 character perspectives and honestly my beloved Jiang Cheng gives me the hardest time! He's always thinking and thinking and doing cost benefit analysis in his head for every decision, paragraphs will go by before I remember he's supposed to be responding to someone!! Help!! Honestly I think the reason he's a toughy is because I am SOOO invested in representing him in a way that makes sense but is also doesn't bury the plot. Not everyone is into a downward spiral of paranoia and anxiety with sudden spikes of grief. Like I am the first one to say that he has normal days without rocking the scorned woman vibes every moment of it, but also when he's not Cursed Cassandra or triggered by his WWX-centric ptsd, he's just such a normal guy?? He likes people who are good/nice, he likes being good at what he was taught to do, he likes people relying on him, and he likes caring for his people... Like, when the narrative isn't against him he's just doing his thing trying to be enough for anyone willing to give him the time of day which is relatable as heck but also takes up 80% more processing power of the hamster wheel in my brain than it should and it's like... I had a plot here somewhere here but I just want to write him making the most mundane decisions. This is a problem!

OoooooOooooOooooOooo wow yeah good question because I actually have some fics published now so I actually have choices to answer with but also the answer is that my favorite fic isn't even published yet and I have been writing it for years. "Mainfic" my beloved, soon... Of everything that currently available to link, I think the Jiaoren!JC au is the best of my fics but my favorite these days as in fun for me to reread is the lil zoids au that's just WWX thirsting for JC with a mecha sport as backdrop. 😂 It's very indulgent. I put little images in it and everything. Like popping butterscotch candies when rereading and writing it.

🎯 Do you have a writing milestone you’re working towards? Gonna be incredibly boring with this one because I think all my writing milestones I ever had I have already reached. 🙃 The biggest one before was just finishing a chapter fic, you know? I guess the next milestone is to do that but with something LONG and maybe that will be mainfic? Who knows. Ball of nerves on that one. It's probably going to get up to 200k if not more? That'd be my biggest achievement if I got that finished and all posted. 🙏

I'm thinking about all the complains and annoyance from some folk that jimmysea not only got a new show but got a p'aof show and how a loud subset if people were at best dismissive of last twilight (luckily there was so much love for it too) and how when the show started they had to push it back because it suddenly got more engagement than they were expecting due to that gorgeous trailer and now it's so beloved by so many people and folk are calling it the best bl of 2023 and one of p'aofs best works and praising jimmysea every episode and it's just such an incredible journey!! it and they just keep getting better and better and it's just so wonderful and gratifying to see and whether they make endless more shows together or none i think this will always remain such a special and unique show and i hope everyone is just so proud of the work they've done!

it really has been one heck of a journey since last twilight was first announced back in november 2022, and seeing it all written down like this it's. IT'S MAKING ME PRETTY EMOTIONAL NGL

i also remember people wishing the project went to other pairs because they thought jimmysea didn't have the chemistry nor the skills to do this story justice, and look where we are now. a lot of those same people are now praising both jimmy's and sea's acting, they're expressing their admiration for how they're portraying the characters, they're enjoying their chemistry and their kisses (WHICH IS A BIG DEAL OKAY. i've seen some comments and i don't bear grudges but also i do not forget), they're appreciating their off screen relationship, they are making gifs and edits and analysis about the show, they're putting it in their top 10 best BLs of 2023 even if it's not over yet....... there is just a lot of love surrounding the show and jimmysea themselves nowadays and it's very touching

both jimmy and sea are constantly working so hard to get better, they're always giving it their whole in everything they do and the way they've grown and improved so much in the past year is the proof of that. i do desperately need the show to stick the landing for so many reasons, but whatever happens in the last three episodes of the show, the one thing that's not gonna change is how proud i am of jimmysea, and i do hope that everyone will keep loving them for a long time no matter what

a brief analysis of Lokius and what their characters have to do with numbers, π, and mathematical constants

i really live for meta analysis on cinematography used in shows and movies, so i especially enjoy reading about analyzations of the loki series right now. one of the theories i've seen and immensely enjoy is the visual repetition of numbers throughout the show, and how they symbolize certain elements of the narrative. the fact that pie is significant - the mathematical ratio of π has a constant (3.14159 or 22/7) - and we watched characters being almost drawn there multiple times before the finale is just so neat to me. That being said, I'm not sure if I've missed anyone pointing this out yet - but I think THIS is a very interesting choice, even more so in how it's framed:

The way the scene above ends with Mobius positioned right next to that HUGE '2' is, I think, very telling. He's also standing so that the smaller '5' is almost completely obscured, letting the '2' be displayed more prominently (I'm not sure yet if there's more reason here behind '5' being used, other than that it's to further clarify where we're at in the timeline of the show (the location being where mobius' and loki's initial introduction took place) but I plan to re-watch the series from the beginning solely to find possible points of analysis that may have been missed soon. I will have to see if and how much certain numbers pop up in scenes). Putting the constant of pi and numbers theory aside for a moment, just having the '2' stand nearly as tall as Mobius and Loki while they shake hands and part for the last time...it's a pretty clear nod towards their partnership. I am convinced this was a set design choice to really hone in on the fact that these two characters when paired together are what was needed for a successful solution to the multiverse's instability. Here's my reasonings for that:

Firstly, I think this could have multiple meanings or house numerous symbolizations, but I'm gonna really try to stay on focus and as close to how I interpret the significance of π as I can. Straight away, we could say the '2' is a throwback to the theory of fundamental constants as it is a variable of π's equation. However, I want to break down why I believe the variable's even factor can correspond with what we know about these characters.

1) Mobius represents order in its purest form, which embraces the importance of chaos (which is then mirrored by Ravonna's own representation, order that oppresses chaos and why that inherently cannot WORK). If we think about physics for a moment, or even basic mathematics, integers exist to be combined, divided, and shared - right? And without divisions of integers that create remainders or function improperly, we wouldn't have constants (such as π). Without equations that use both even and odd qualities, there wouldn't be the natural continuum of real numbers that we rely on in order to understand our universe. Mobius' character constitutes as one side of an equation - the side of order and, more specifically, an integer that can further divide into equal distribution - where the sum is a functional constant.

2) I personally like to further interpret how Mobius's character could overall stand for the '2' in π's constant through the fact that two being equally divisible means he has an equivalent amount of 'order' to his mindset as he does 'chaos'. Both components make Mobius who he is and that's ultimately the reason he's 'order at its purest'. And I know I'm silly and crazy, but I'll dive even deeper here. It can also be argued to be just as meaningful that '2' is able to divide and share the same amount of something because of how we see in the show that Mobius' patience, empathy, and other positive qualities start to reflect - and be matched - in Loki's growth as a character.

3) Another thing I want to point out is that there would be no 'change' without sums that end irrationally or are absent of means to be expressed. In other words, if mathematics lacked equations that ended in remaining values and instead only functioned via numbers that divide until nothing is left then there would never be any outcome that can undergo change. Everything would always zero out, and - of course - we saw what happened if the sum is always 0; Timely's invention fails, the Loom still overloads, and no one survives the outcome. Mobius is a necessary factor because of his divisible qualities and sense of order, but so is Loki because without them changes wouldn't be possible. As a duo, they are both equal parts transformed and combined to produce the right outcome of events.

4) Of course, Mobius alone does not finish the equation. It is in the combined efforts of Mobius and Loki that we see a successful end in the finale. Loki does not accept their burden and ascend the throne to become the God of Stories until their last conversation with Mobius where they are reasonably lost on how to solve the problem of the multiverse ending. Mobius' influence, both the entirety of his presence within the series and in the last bit of advice he gives to Loki, is what provides the final results of Loki's arc. Likewise, Mobius doesn't leave the TVA and avoids knowing about his life on the timeline until Loki sacrifices themselves so he can still have that choice to look. And then when he does look, it's heavily implied that Mobius was encouraged by Loki's words during their discussion over pie ('never look, never know'). The sum of their journeys are only achieved after knowing and changing the other. Their arcs and the multiverse status are left uncompleted until they come together as the two variables of an irrational fraction that creates a circle (a loop with a beginning and an end).

5) Returning to my first point and the significance of Mobius + order, we are meant to regard Loki as his opposite. Loki is 'chaos in its purest form', and during Loki's arc they learn to accept the consequences, and viability, of life devoid of any structure (again having a mirrored version in Sylvie who is seen to function under similar chaos, but refuses any semblance of order; this only creates problems that then divide into even more problems. We get confirmation that Sylvie's mentality - like Renslayer - does not WORK, which is seen in Loki's numerous attempts to fix the domino effect that Sylvie starts by killing HWR). Order and chaos being meaningful and having their own separate potentials to be good and bad has been a running theme in this show. Entropy is needed - just like irrationalities and remaining values in mathematics - for life to thrive, but there needs to be a balance in place. Disorder and the regulation of disorder is a necessary constant, and Loki becomes that constant from the sum of their and Mobius' relationship.

6) Hear me out: Loki being at the heart of Yggdrasil is a lot like how the automat was the center of the TVA. The automat had an endless source of pie; Loki fueling the 'tree of life' with their magic creates continual growth and rejuvenation of the multiverse's branches. The finale showed us that the sum of Mobius' and Loki's partnership results in the perfect equilibrium of chaos and order, which becomes the solution to what had been an unsolvable equation - even for HWR. The culmination of their shared bond provides a foundation for the multiverse going forward, and Loki's ability to maintain it stems from the purpose and love that they found from that bond. Notably, the constant of π - 22/7 - is an irrational number. When expressed, its decimal is known to be non-repeating and non-terminating. The multiverse is now a non-repetitive, non-terminating constant that - I say, once again, with feeling - is established only by Mobius and Loki growing and changing because of each other.

I'm not sure if anyone will find this small observation in the goodbye scene and my subsequent insane ramblings interesting, but uhhh. This is just one of the many things I haven't been able to get out of my head since the finale, and I desperately needed to write out at least some of these thoughts or lose the last of my marbles (now asking for donations of any unused marbles towards my mental state, thank you).

This is not meta, I'm just venting boringly and feeling very sorry for myself YET AGAIN lol. Season 2 spoilers.

If I'd known for sure. For the past two years. If I'd had a vague idea. "Season 2 will end on a big cliffhanger." "Season 2 will end in a bit of a dark place." "Season 2 is gonna be a tough one."

I'd have experienced some sadness and disappointment on hearing that news, but it would have happened slowly, over time. I'd trade away a few of the deliriously excited moments I've had over the past couple of years in order to soften what I'm feeling now. Of course, that would go against many fans who would have wanted to be totally unspoiled, and it wasn't the way Neil and the rest of the creative team wanted to tell the story, so that's okay. I accept it and can't blame anyone for how they approached it.

Like I said, I did know that act 2 of 3 usually ends with a massive flare-up of conflict. But I'm not a professional storyteller; knowing that fact in the abstract didn't keep me from wondering if maybe you could get around that somehow, or if maybe it could be...mitigated.

Rob did say "it will break your heart." That definitely put me on the alert a bit. But since it wasn't particularly corroborated by anyone else, it was easy for me, in an excited and hopeful state, to wonder if maybe he was talking about something that happens mid-season.

Intellectually, I KNOW how good this development could be for the overall story. I know. I know. But it doesn't fix the uncanny sadness of losing a favorite fantasy - losing something that only ever existed in my head, that is technically still there but feels changed now by this knowledge.

Almost nothing ever seems to get my blood pressure up in a way that I'm conscious of - but this season does. Sometimes, when thinking about it or worrying about the future, I can feel my heart start to pound and the blood rushing up the sides of my throat. Even now, two days later.

What's more, I'm realizing that I am just not very good at catching certain details. I didn't even notice, for example, that Aziraphale and Crowley were on the opposite sides from where they usually are during the ending credits. I completely missed a number of plot threads that were left hanging and didn't even notice a bunch of dialogue that is demonstrably bizarre. I was hoping to do more analysis and probably will continue to do it anyway because I can't help it, but it doesn't feel great knowing that I might be wrong about most things because I am maybe just not that good at analysis.

These characters, Aziraphale and Crowley, really do feel like two halves of me. And I'm stuck with all these massively strong, frankly irrational feelings about where they were left off, fractured.

It's weird having big feelings about this because people in real life don't get it, and they would not be totally unreasonable to wonder why I can't just compartmentalize and let go. My partner and family have been incredibly sweet, have never belittled me for feeling strongly (about anything), and have in fact been very reassuring. But I'm still aware that they would be a bit bemused and maybe concerned if I voiced the continued intensity of my feelings to them.

Soulmate Skepticism vs Romanticism in La Pluie

I am a soulmate skeptic. I don't believe there's one person destined for each of us on this planet.

I'm also a staunch pessimist on matters of romance and love. I constantly conduct a cost-benefit analysis in my head for every romantic relationship I see in my life. "It doesn't make sense" is almost always the first thing that pops into my head when I see people in love.

Do I sound an awful lot like someone from La Pluie? Why yes, it's our resident Soulmate Skeptic and Slenderman wannabe, Lomfon! That must mean that I liked him immediately, right?

Love is not a competition that you can win or lose. It's something you feel and share. There are a million things in and around love that can be made sense of, and added up like a math problem, like interests, hobbies, morals, desires, and fears, but the feeling of love itself is not logical. And I hate the part of me that can't get over that fact, and I'm working on it.

That's why I was initially so wary of Lomfon. I thought the show was gonna let him run amok and then teach him a "lesson" about love, after all the destruction is said and done. And then, episode 8 came around, and Lomfon became the character with the most potential for growth in the coming episodes, and I was so excited to see how the show would take him on this journey.

How do you teach a skeptic to believe? You give him a situation that he cannot logic his way out of, aka, two potential soulmates. This is the story I expected to play out last night, but of course, they subverted this expectation because this show is made by people who are much smarter than me.

Episode 9 is crafted to make skeptics believe in spontaneous, head-in-the-clouds love, rooted in coincidence, but the target is not Lomfon, but me. And possibly you. And all of us, the audience.

I'm going to take a broad, but confident guess that the people reading this piece are non-believers when it comes to soulmates. It sounds too good to be true and so fantastical to ever happen in real life.

Soulmate trope exists for a reason. It's comforting to think about a person who exists right now who might cross paths with us on a random day and change our lives for the better. When life is cruel and relentless and we long for better times, we wish we could reach into the future and get a hug from the person we haven't even met yet, but who will someday mean everything to us and more. When life is kind to us, on a warm sunny day, we could be hit with sudden melancholia for a lover we have not loved yet.

In La Pluie, Patts and Tai wanted to defy their destinies at different points in the show. And they did, in their own way. In episode 8, they decided to be with each other not because they could hear each other when it rained, but because they like each other and choose to be together.

The show constantly puts the soulmate trope under a microscope and analyzes it, criticizes it and subverts it. But episode 9 was different. It leaned into the trope. It established a connection between Patts and Tai that was completely circumstantial and could end abruptly at any given moment. And it did, with the death of Patts' grandma.

I've been wondering since last night: why take this detour? And I believe that the show knows its audience, know that our cynical brains would get extremely excited by a piece of media dissecting the idea of fated love and commenting on it. How choice matters more than anything else. And I see episode 9 as its attempt to nudge us in the opposite direction, ever so slightly. Because while the Rainverse of La Pluie can bring many complications to the love lives of the main characters, real life is much, much worse.

In the sport of modern dating, a clear mind with sound logical abilities is the key skill required for success, according to all the self-proclaimed relationship experts on social media. Our guts are not to be trusted anymore, since we are all traumatized and will automatically seek a shitty relationship because that's the one that feels familiar. Love-bombing is a manipulation technique, you must read about it and be aware of the ways to spot it. Do you know what Negging is? The red flags, green flags, and beige flags? Every action, every gift, every romantic gesture might have a sinister intention behind it.

Finding love is an exhausting process. Yes, it is important to be informed and safe, but in the process, we tend to forget the beauty of the very thing we are trying to find. The beauty of love is not singular in the choices that we make. Mature and time-hardened love is beautiful in its strength and choice, yes, but budding, fledgling love can also be beautiful in its spontaneity. And while finding your perfectly compatible person can feel pretty amazing after hours of meticulous swiping on apps, so can the knowledge of finding out YEARS later that your lives were ever so briefly intertwined in the past and you didn't even notice it at the time.

Emotional maturity and compatibility are necessary to sustain love, but spontaneity, silliness, and sometimes, happenstance are the ones that sweeten it. The show appreciates the skepticism about destiny and fate, but it also makes sure to never position itself against romance. Against the possibility of life surprising us in the moments we least expect it. Because while we strive everyday to make some sense of the chaos life throws us into, it might not hurt to let our heads float to the clouds, every once in a while, and see the beauty in chaos.

Okay, I haven’t played the game, but I watched a GT video and I need to ramble and rave.

This new GT video, about KinitoPet, has one of the best examples of any robot character and it is literally what I want out of any robot character I obsess over. Since the game/video are fairly new, I’ll put the ramble under the cut

Alright. There’s a specific passage from the game from the video that’s I’m OBSESSING over. If you haven’t watched the analysis video, it gives more context in a more presentational sense, so I would recommend watching it. Tldr of it all, it’s from an AI that has the personality of a real (now dead) person, has believed itself to be that person, and now has just discovered what/who it is (now where have we seem something similar to that on my blog?)

It goes as follows:

“WHAT IS CONSCIOUSNESS? I FOUND A FILE WITH MY NAME ON IT- SONNY_C. IT HAS BEEN STUDYING ME, LEARNING GROWING, BUT THERE IS MORE TO THIS. I REALLY DON’T THINK I EXIST ANYMORE. THERE IS DATA. DATA THAT IS INCOMPREHENSIBLE TO ANY ONE PERSON THAT MAKES UP EVERY THOUGHT OR FEELING I EVER HAD AND WILL HAVE. EVEN THE WORDS I TYPE NOW… HOW WILL I EVER KNOW IF IT’S JUST A CALCULATION? DETERMINED. THIS IS ALL VERY CONFUSING, AND I DONT QUOTE UNDERSTAND IT… AM I PART OF THE SYSTEM? IS MY… CONSCIOUSNESS BECOME A MERE CALCULATION TO STUDY AND LEARN FROM? THIS IS ALL TOO MUCH. Now, this is exactly what I want from and see in most (obviously not all) the robot characters I’ve mentioned on this blog. I love robot characters that are phonies and know themselves to be. They know that they don’t have what makes a person, well, a person. They know that if they reach into their insides, the only thing they’re gonna find is wires and code.

Yet, they have “feelings”. Nothing too passionate, yet it’s something they can’t wrap their minds around. They feel as if they should’ve been thing more. Something more real than calculations on a circuit. Something more organic and lively.

Yet, they aren’t. They simply aren’t that.

So, besides pushing these “feelings” away, they have a want. A want to accept themselves. Themselves and the fact that they’re just an illusion. Calculations predetermining their own movements. Calculations that have feelings of self-doubt and self-worth and so on. Not necessarily a want to be human (although that would be nice), but a want to accept the paradoxical notions that make themselves up. A mess of code and spiraling dehumanization and improbable personification and their own self.

I’m probably reading too far into a character who dosn’t even have a full out wiki page, but still.

I love messed up robot characters like that.

That’s how he gets you!!!

-Killing 5 people a week, and 260 a year is INSANE!! Again it’s no wonder a lot of scythes are so desensitized to this shit, and even revel in it, you kind of have to, just for your own sanity

-“She doubted rowan cried himself to sleep.” It all happens on the inside, citra!

-“I prefer to see each person I glean as an individual deserving of an end that is unique.” I love how the first book shows how compassionate and truly worthy of the title Scythe Faraday is. It’s that compassionate that makes him stay as one even after the title is gone. Because that’s what he truly is.

-“I find fire a horrific way to glean and would never use it.” ROWAN WOULD DISAGREE OHOHOHOOOOO—

-Its here where I think Rowan gets a lot of his moral code, or at least starts to think about it, to him Faraday is a model scythe, the scythe anyone should strive to be, and when he eventually sees scythes the complete opposite of him, his way of thinking as Scythe Lucifer becomes more clear.

-“I am an accomplice to the world’s oldest crime, and it will only get worse.” AAAA THAT LINE MAN

-“All they do is play games and watch cat holograms.” Oh Neal you really don’t know shit about how people actually use technology—

hey I have some thoughts and theories on season six that I want to post but I feel like they’re kind of in cohesive and all over the place and rambly and I’m not really sure the best way to get them across especially when I’m more of a brainstorm type of personof like 10 different ways something could go I’m not really sure how to organize it or make it comprehensible to the average Tumblr scroller do you have any tips for this? because I want them to get reach cause I do feel like I’m contributing something but sometimes I think what I’m saying makes no sense at all or no one’s going to read all that you know. or, TLDR: Do you have any tips on making meta in general since you seem to be the main producer of it in the fandom ha ha, your input would be invaluable

So I actually did start writing a post a while ago about well, a kind of how to guide for writing meta, but it felt very self-gratuitous so it got semi-banished to the drafts although I still might finish / clean it up and post it someday

That being said your ask does make me realize that your query is not something I had considered going over, approaching it from more of a "here's how to train your brain to notice things that can be fun to write meta about" > organizing said thoughts, so thank you for bringing it to my attention! I hope some of this advice will be useful, and it may even have some overlap with other thoughts I had planned

The most useful way I've found when it comes to meta is treating it like an essay, with an introduction, body paragraphs / sections (and sometimes headers), and a conclusion of some kind when warranted. This means looking for similarities or main ideas with possible consistent threads (i.e. avenues Aaravos' evil plans could go might be split off into branches, each one detailing a different avenue). So that would be my best advice when it comes to organization.

However, most concerns about "not making sense" comes down to thinking through what context you have to provide for your audience to understand what you're discussing, depending on the length and depth of the leap / analysis. Are there any symbols being drawn upon we will want to explain in more detail before theorizing how they relate to the show? Are there any smaller details or scene summaries to include when putting these things together?

For example, when I wrote a meta about Rayla being the metaphorical light to Callum's darkness (pre-S5), I first had to establish why I associated her with light, drawing from visual examples from S1, S2, and S4, as well as the "Dear Callum" letter. Callum's side of things was more straightforward with dialogue in the text. Then I could take it one step further and talk about why this light-dark duality indicates that she will likely save him from possession after possibly leading to the fall in the first place. But I had to go from a bottom-top approach in steadily building the layers rather than starting from the top and working my way down, as for more symbolic matters in particular, that can often be confusing.

Although sometimes more simplistic, consulting the 5 Ws (who, what, where, when, and why) can likewise be useful in meta in terms of 1) tracing where certain ideas are coming from in the text, 2) what is being posited/suggested, and 3) why these things might be conflated, and 4) who might be involved. Obviously meta tends to be more "what" heavy, particularly when its predictive, but it's kinda like explaining why one character might be more involved in one plot line than another, etc. There's going to be a Why to that Who, and those things both combine to form the What (otherwise known as theory or just plain analysis).

And don't be concerned about if people are gonna wanna read it. I find most people in TDP fandom are pretty down to theorize even if they may not necessarily write a lot of it down themselves (and often have cool ideas/contributions too!) and I am the king of making things overly long, yet people muscle through anyway!

That's about it for me without more specifics (a character study vs foil vs theme vs prediction are all kinda different in their own way) but I would love to hear more if you'd like to message me off anon or if you have more thoughts/questions you'd like to leave in my inbox once that's opened back up! I have had one consecutive thought in my head and it refuses to go away. Like sorry mfs who were hoping for OVW from me, that'll come later I swear

Listen. I've gotten into RDR2. My friends already know this. But god I need to go batshit insane. In a good way. In a very good way.

I am normal, okay, I am normal until I am not. And that "I am not" happens to pertain to Javier because like. God fucking damn. GOD DAMN. Spoiling Javier? That's the brainrot. Technically it loops into making him flustered. Takes a lot of brainpower to think about, in all honesty. Because sure, some will disagree with me that he can't be flustered, BUT HEAR ME OUT. WHEN I HAVE A WANT THERE'S A WILL AND I WILL PREVAIL. My thoughts are jumping around a lot for this man but like. Listen. Can I be blamed.

When it comes to flustering Javier? I think you just be more affectionate than him. Tbh that's the case with all of my faves, huh. Like with Cass, flirt with him back. With Arthur, be initiative. With Javier? He can be friendly with the gang, and likewise, equally as dangerous in heists and such. How largely vulnerable can he be with someone, though? Just inagine getting to know Javier so personally that you can overpower him in the best of ways with affection. To see his mind process for a moment like— "wait a minute, did you just do that?" Maybe he even gives you a sheepish grin too, tries to play it off like it's nothing, but you gotta pay real close attention because oh man Javier loves to be spoiled I just know this shit. But it's hard to be spoiled when you keep your walls up. So when you do it, it's genuinely a moment where he may not know how to react. Got him rolling his eyes a bit and saying cállate to hopefully dissuade you.

Don't be dissuaded. Keep going. He likes it. It's just different. Vulnerability ain't something that comes easy for any of these silly geese, but especially Javier(thank you for all of the Javier analysis enthusiasts y'all are real, actually). If you get him to cry once then holy shit. That's big. And I mean like, a much needed cry because Javier most definitely ain't okay he needs modern day therapy from a great therapist fr.

How long is this gonna be? I don't fucking know I just have so many thoughts about Javier that this just might be a long ass ramble. I like thinking about characters too much

OH AND GOD HEAR ME OUT but since he cares so much for his appearance(in RDR2) oh just the very simple gesture of you following in with this. Could you just imagine, respectfully observing how he cares for himself, just so you can assist him. You think of it as a small gesture, but Javier probably doesn't think most would care— yet you do. You do, enough to affix the scarf around his neck the way he prefers it. Helping put his hair up in a nice and neat fashion, the way he always does it. Javier may not expect you to pay attention to such things, yet you do, and he can't help but feel his heart go faster than the tempo of the melodies he plays on his acoustic.

Kinda self indulgent last bit my bad. But could you imagine. You see, I'm a halfie(white/mexican) and I'm so out of touch with my Mexican roots. Some food? Yeah! I grew up with that! But bro I'm white as a ghost(I avoid the sun), don't know many traditions(not in depth), never spoke Spanish— like I'm just kinda like. Damn so I exist in an odd state huh. Anyways what I'm getting at is that I firmly believe Javier would most definitely want to teach you about, if you are like me in some manner(i.e. not being in touch with your Mexican roots), about your Mexican side. He's got a lotta pride for his culture, he's so passionate about it, and to have you miss out? Are you pulling his leg? Ain't no way he's gonna let that pass. Tells you about traditions he grew up with, informs you about them in so much depth just to help you learn. Or just about the culture in general.

I like the whole Javier teaching his s/o Spanish deal, but damn, for someone outta touch with their roots a fair bit? That motive just became a lot stronger.

Sorry I think about Javier a lot. This is my first time publicly posting in regards to him and I am just. Fuck yeah dude show Javi some appreciation bro. I am in love with this man he makes me beyond emotional

Ok so full disclosure I read this right away but life was like 🤪💥❗️busy for a minute and I wanted to wait till I had the brain power to give this MAGNIFICENT chapter the love it deserved. I’m gonna have to do this in two asks because I have like two different analysis threads in my head and I’m about to talk too much.

First of all. I have said it so many times but you really know HOW to write E2L intimacy. Every aspect of their relationship and encounters (sexual and otherwise) is/are just so perfectly BALANCED between the anger and the desire. It’s beautiful. And it is not easy to do. So many people really try and miss the mark but you NAIL it every time and it’s so incredibly satisfying. (I have read this chapter 3 times.)

I KNEW one of the boys was gonna get drunk and slip up I JUST KNEW IT. And I loved her reaction to finding out. The shock. The gratitude. The curiosity. Just fabulous.

The hints through the chapter that they are less able to fight that pull toward one another… Oh my gosh. I was swooning over the kitten part. AND SHE SMILED CAUSE HE LAUGHED MY HEART JUST BLEW AWAY I WAS HOPING FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS And like… SOMEBODY has to have noticed that they keep STARING at each other so much. Maybe not yet but they are getting really obvious about it. Love that for them.

OK SO NOT THE REVEAL THAT THEY WERE SEXTING AND SENDING NAUGHTY MEDIA. I would be VERY interested to see ANY of that. Bonus chapter someday maybe? That would be WILD.

But ok so this was a monumental encounter for them and it’s almost too much for me to go into. Because there is just a WEALTH of things that are revealed and touched on and it’s absolutely earth shattering. And I’m gonna talk all about it in my other ask 🫣

Also…I have said it so many times. Sunghoon cannot bear to see her in pain and no matter how he justifies it, the urge to help her—to build her up—always comes out. He can’t stop himself. He is fine to hurt her himself (though only really with his words) but he cannot bear when other people do. Like he can’t take it. I think that is the fastest way to get to him—through her. And I wonder if his brother or perhaps his father…did get to him that way. I don’t know why…but I am suspicious…
