I never expected to make it this far

It felt like a marathon to the star

Although the school year just started

It felt like a long arduous times ended

Socializing with new people seemed an unthinkable task for me. But here I am standing and giggling with them. My self conscious thoughts always pulls me back on talking to others. No matter how I want to interact with them. Little by little I'm starting to realize it's not that scary to make contact with others. Even though awkward eye contacts and encounters still lingers with me. I am the kind of person who is a "social introvert" I get curious with the story and insights of others but get drained when exposed on the out for too long.

I learned something new today

I learned something remarkable for it to stay

It's such a nice thing to know someone shares the same birthday with me. It feels like as if there's a correlation between our personalities. As the majority of my birthdays felt like I was the only one blowing the candles at that specific time period. A train of thoughts crossed my mind, it shocks me how time passes by swiftly. To realize that I am just a few step away from adulthood is both fascinating and intriguing since I have no idea what will come nor what destiny I am bound for.

I thought this day would turn to be an another monotonous cycle for me. Today was the Strand Officer Elections. Thankfully I was not elected since I knew myself that I'm not ready for such responsibilities. My friend, Draven, got elected and I was jumping up to the sky to know that she got elected. I felt happy for her since I knew that leading the way is something she aspires and look forward to. From my observation, she possesses great leadership skills which would make her a good fit for it. Then after our dismissal. I, Jovi, and Draven decided to eat out for the reason that Draven's birthday is actually tomorrow. This is actually our first after school bonding and I think it deserves the spotlight here.

The road home isn't very long...

...and I know I'll be getting off soon

Traversing the road at Lawa Rd. at nightfall. There is a trailer truck that blocked the way which causes me to walk some distance to transfer transport.

❝So, like, my perfect February 14th? I'd like to go breakfast at my favorite Cuban joint with a handsome fellow, take a walk in the botanical garden, maybe hit up some other stuff. Carnivals, the beach, art galleries. Maybe, like. Um. I dunno, I really like the concept of sharing some lava taro pastries from Sheng Kee for lunch! Go look at fancy soap. Buy a few bars. Maybe, uuuuh... Go to my place, get in pajamas, marathon a few Wong Kar Wai movies, and have a pizza delivered?❞ Simple enough. He wasn't hard to please.

❝After that—? I wouldn't mind going to my bed and doing the ancient body boogie. Bringing an al dente noodle to my spaghetti house. Doing the horizontal greased-weasel tango. Locking legs and swapping gravy. Oscillating the unmentionables. Getting slung around like pizza dough. Getting blasted by the pump-action yogurt rifle. Then, like, we can talk about therapy and what's stressing us out. I’ll probably cry as I talk about how lost I am in life.❞
