It had been a total of three months since Jack's birthday and while he was at home in Louisville, you were at home in New York trying to keep yourself distracted.
You were literally working almost every day and your older sister Melissa was obviously concerned, but you simply brushed her off.
She already knew why you were doing it.
So you didn't have to focus on your feelings for Jack.
Out of sight, out of mind.
You figured that if you didn't think about it, you would be able to go back to how life was before you met him.
But, who were you fooling?
It honestly took everything in you not to accept the ring as Jack had held it out towards you.
All you did was stare at it for what felt like hours, but was only mere seconds.
"Y/N?"
"Jack, I can’t." You croaked out while trying to do your best not to sob in front of him.
The look of disappointment that flashed across his face almost made you want to accept it.
Almost.
Thinking back towards that moment, you honestly wondered if you had made the right decision.
Even though you and Jack weren't together anymore, you had grown a lot closer to his mother, Maggie and she wanted you to have lunch with her and she was treating you. You just so happened to have an event in Louisville this weekend with Melissa so it worked out perfectly.
You knew Jack was at home, so you were obviously bound to run into him which you were dreading.
Every time you had gone to see Maggie, Urban, Ace, Shloob, Quiiso, or 2fo you had miraculously dodged him, but you had a feeling that your luck was going to run out soon.
You had a feeling that Ace had something to do with it, but he never admitted it.
There you were at the 21C hotel in downtown Louisville applying the finishing touches to your make-up when you heard your phone go off. Melissa had gone off earlier to meet with a client leaving you by yourself to hopefully not run into him.
Your heart jumped out of your chest when you saw that it was Jack.
Jack- I heard you were in Louisville 👀
SHIT
You- Yes, for an event and to see your mom
Jack- So you can go out with my mom and not me? 😧
You- Get a hold of yourself. You thought I was cheating on you with Ace and now you’re jealous of your mom? Come on now Jackman 🙄
Jack- I just miss you, but you already knew that 👉🏻👈🏻
You- How did you know I was here anyway?
Jack- Um, I just heard a few people mention you, that's all. Sooo, how long are you here for?
You- Long enough to see your mom, Clay and PG and then I'm going back home
Jack- I'm in PG, so that means I'm included right? 🤔

Jack- You didn't give me an answer tho
Maggie was treating you to one of her favorite restaurants in the city and it just so happened that it wasn’t far from the hotel which you were thankful for. In the back of your mind, it wouldn’t surprise you if Jack had convinced Maggie to bring him with her even though it was supposed to be just the two of you.
You did miss him, however, you still can’t shake from your mind what he did and how much he hurt you.
And Druski included.
You hadn’t talked to him either even though he slid in your DM’s multiple times trying to apologize and tried to do so at Jack and Urban’s birthday party, but you were too overwhelmed after Jack had pulled you to the side to talk to you so you told him that you didn’t want to hear it and that he knows you better than that.
You were currently munching on mozzarella sticks and you could feel Maggie eyeing you. You realized that it was only a matter of time before she found out about you and Jack not being together and had a feeling that it was going to be sooner rather than later. I mean you would think that because Jack was taking a break that he would spend some time with his so-called girlfriend, but that wasn't the case.
“What’s going on between you and my oldest child? I don’t mean to pry, but I can tell something’s wrong. Especially this morning when he asked about you. I didn’t say anything to him, but I was like "isn't that your girlfriend so shouldn’t you know the answer to that?”
And that’s when you started to cry. You couldn’t hold it in any longer.
This was the first time you had cried over him
In two days
You were honestly surprised that it took this long
And here you thought you were getting over him, but let’s be honest. Who were you kidding?
“Oh, no. I didn’t mean to upset you. What did he do?” Maggie exclaimed while handing you a tissue so that you could wipe your face.
“We haven’t been together since the beginning of March.”
“But….”
“At the party, that was all for show. Jack took it upon himself to accuse me of cheating on him with Ace because of pictures that Druski took and showed him. But we all know that he had been helping me plan the entire party for him. He didn’t even ask me about it. I had gone out to pick up a necklace that I had gotten made for him and came back to him packing my suitcases and handing me a plane ticket and telling me to go home. I was stuck at the airport for three days because my flight kept getting delayed and didn’t want to tell my parents or anyone what happened. I still don’t even know why I decided to show up at the party, I guess because I didn’t want all of my hard work to go to waste and I obviously do still care about him. I just…. How am I supposed to come back from that because that was him telling me that he doesn’t trust me. Druski has been trying to apologize to me ever since, but I don’t want to hear it. Oh and Jack decided that when he pulled me to the side at the party to suddenly give me a promise ring and I was like as bad as I want to take this, I can’t. He said that he had been planning on giving it to me anyway, but at that moment, it just seemed like he was trying to give it to me in order for me to forget what he did. And I just… I don’t know. And this morning, he sent me a text saying that I heard you were in Louisville and I said that I was coming to see you and he had the nerve to say oh so you can go out with my mom and not me? I’m sorry I’m rambling… I’m just still so incredibly hurt. It’s been a few months, but I don’t know if I can forgive and forget that easily.”
Maggie was sitting there quiet, taking it all in and listening to you as you told her everything.
“I just don’t get it. He has trust issues, which I know because his last girlfriend cheated on him and I would never do that because I also know how it feels to be cheated on. Why would I ever want to do that to someone else? I think deep down that I do want to forgive him, but I feel like this is always going to be in the back of my mind.”
“And your feelings are valid after everything that happened. I just can’t believe that child of mine because I definitely raised him better than that.”
“I know you did, but he’s an adult that has the ability to make his own decisions and unfortunately this was a bad decision on his part. Let me go to the bathroom and touch up my make-up, I’ll be back.” You said before getting up from the table, and Maggie immediately pulled her phone out to text her oldest child.
Maggie- Jackman Thomas
Jack- Uh oh, full government….. Yes? Am I in trouble?
Maggie- You most definitely are
Jack- What did I do?!?
Maggie- You know exactly what you did
Jack- Umm… are you at lunch with Y/N?
Maggie- Yes
Jack- And she told you what I did, didn’t she?
Maggie- I taught you better than that. You better be at the house when I get back so we can talk about this
Jack- I tried to apologize to her!
Maggie- With a ring that she felt that you were only giving to her so she could forget what you did.
Jack- I didn’t want it to come off that way because that isn’t true
Maggie- Well it did. Like I said, we’ll talk later.
After Jack had read the text message from his mother, he was now dreading the conversation that he was going to have with her later.
He didn’t know how much you had told her, but it seemed like from what she said, that you told her everything and he knew that he was about to be in for it.
He admits that he should have asked you and shouldn’t have reacted that way without having clear cut evidence of what was going on between you and Ace.
The two of them were talking, but just not as much as they were before. Jack was hoping that they could move past this and that he would be able to rebuild his relationship with both of you.
It had been three months, but at least you were still talking to him so that counts for something right?
You didn’t completely shut him out, so in his mind he still had a chance to win you back.
And he was going to make it happen no matter how long it took.
He was currently out with Urban and Clay to take his mind off of missing you when both of them noticed the switch in his demeanor.
“What’s wrong with you?” Urban asked while looking over at him confused.
“Y/N told her.”
“Told who what?”
“Told my mom what I did, obviously and now my ass is probably in for it.”
“Welp, can’t blame her. You definitely earned yourself the dumbass of the year award for that one.”
“Thank you for that, Clayborn.” Jack responded while rolling his eyes and all Clay did was smile and pat him on the back.
“Of course, any time.”
“I don’t even know where to begin to get her to forgive me.”
“Didn’t she already say no to the ring?” Urban inquired as Clay’s eyes went wide.
“WHAT RING?! YOU LEFT THAT PART OUT!”
“It was just a gift that I had gotten for her and I gave it to her at the party, which probably wasn’t the best idea, but I wanted for her to have it. My mom said that she thought that I was just trying to give it to her in order for her to forget what I did, but that wasn’t my intention at all.”
“Kinda looks that way though. The timing of it all.”
“I get it, but I was desperate and willing to do anything in order for her to forgive me and I still am. It wasn’t meant for her to forget what happened. I apologized so we could acknowledge it and hopefully move on from it.”
“Still can’t believe you listened to Druski’s dumbass. Like out of all people? That’s your most reliable source?”
“Look, I just didn’t know what to think. I couldn’t take someone that I care about cheating on me again. That’s a feeling that I never want to have. I experienced it once and don’t want to ever again.”
“He needs to help you get her back because it was both of your dumbasses fault.”
“I think he’s done enough and I need to figure out how to do that on my own. I’m the one who broke up with her and kicked her off tour.”
“Hmm, maybe Ace will help you.”
“I HIGHLY doubt that. I’m surprised he’s even talking to me.” Jack answered while shaking his head.
“Well, she’s not ignoring you so that at least counts for something, right?”
“I guess, but still.”
It was around 11 PM when Jack made his way back to his parents house in the hopes that his mother would be asleep so that he didn’t get yelled at because he already knew that it was coming. He had stayed out the entire day hoping to not have to run into her.
He quietly opened the door and was trying to make his way to his childhood bedroom when the light turned on in the living room startling him.
There Maggie was sitting on the couch waiting for him.
“Avoiding your own mother, now?”
“I-... no…. I just….”
“Yes you were. Come sit.”
Jack did as he was told and sat on the couch across from her waiting for her to start ripping him a new one.
“First, what the hell went through your mind to confront her without any evidence? And no wait, back up. Druski? Are we serious? That’s who you choose as your most reliable source?”
“He took the pictures of the two of them and sent them to me! I didn’t know what to think!” Jack exclaimed while running a hand through his curly hair.
“And that’s why you should have asked her! Instead now both you and Druski look like dumbasses. I raised you better than that. Don’t even get me started on you packing her bags for her and the fact that she was stranded at the airport for three days because her flight kept getting delayed! And she was too scared to tell anyone!”
“I… know. I wish she would have said something to me.”
“But, at that moment, would you have even bothered to answer her? Probably not all because of what you thought she did. And she still threw you the party? I know I probably wouldn’t have.”
“I definitely don’t think I deserved to have it, but I'm thankful that she went through with it anyway.”
“I don’t even know where you would begin to fix this.”
“Did she say she still wanted to be with me?!” Jack asked her with a hopeful look on his face.
“Well, she didn’t exactly tell me no, but what she did tell me was that even if she did forgive you that you not trusting her would still be in the back of her mind. I remember telling you not to do anything stupid to lose her, but of course you had already done it. Y/N really cares about you and I can see it in the way she talks about you even if you did hurt her feelings.”
“I just hope she eventually forgives me. I want to see her happy, but I want to see her happy with me.”
“Hold up. That’s not up to you. Even if she is happy without you, you are going to accept it and move on from it because at the end of the day it was you who lost her and you who broke up with her. Doyoung was a little awkward when you were born because he was used to playing with other guys so having to be taught how to play with a baby let alone a girl was a little confusing.
He caught on relatively quick though (he got some paternal instincts fs) and was settling in to being a protective older brother just fine.
The two of you would eventually team up to bully your eldest brother because well it’s just what obnoxious younger siblings do.
Back to the paternal instincts, Doyoung for sure has you promise to message him every hour when you go out with friends and insist he pick you up from school or anything that involves you being gone for hours at a time.
One time, you got stood up on a date and when he picked you up and eventually got you home he snooped through your phone (cause you knocked out after crying) found the guys address and was almost arrested for destroying someone’s property.
Don’t mess with Doyoung.

Jaehyun is just a weird older brother. That’s just the vibe he gives me. He doesn’t really care what you do or who you hang out with but if any of his friends try flirting with you *cough* Johnny *cough* then he’s gonna get overprotective,
“i love my friends but they CAN NOT be trusted in relationships, they all function on one collective brain cell” Nvm Doyoung might be the only one he trusts around you.
Jaehyun def thinks your an obnoxious little shit after you tour his ass apart for legally changing his name to YoonOh (why Jae? WHY?!), but that’s just what he gets for always making fun of you.
I also think he’s the type of brother to ask your opinion on a girl before he asks her out and if you have a y problems with a girlfriend of his cause let’s say she’s being a bitch, he 100% listens to you and breaks up with them. Love that for him.

Yk how Jungwoo kind of kept his older sister a secret? Yeah the members didn’t find out about you till like a few months ago and it was in the worst way possible.
Jungwoo was bringing the entirety of 127 to your parents house and stepped out for some groceries and told nobody you’d be getting home from school so walking through the front door you were met with a bunch of grown men standing on top of your couch holding pillows up as protection 💀.
Jungwoo likes to bring up that moment and any other embarrassing moments of yours that he’s witnessed to make fun of you, like the time at a dance recital you tripped and face planted in front of everyone. (you were 6)
Jungwoo is another MAJOR gossip queen. It’s to the point y’all have code names for people (which like same), but it really makes no sense since Jungwoo is never gonna interact with your classmates you have drama with 😭.

Idk why but Mark gives me the vibe that he’s an older brother who for some reason is just terrified of you 😭. From day one bro has kept his distance and i think he has the mindset that he’s gonna do smth to upset you so he’d rather play it safe.
The whole distance thing changed when he began spending like 90% in the SM building training at the age of 13. He got really homesick and missed the full family moment’s.
He’s a great listener tho, when school is getting stressful or arguments with friends/significant others occur he’s gonna let you talk through your feelings and on some occasions he’ll give you advice.
He’s def written poems about his family, like i’m thoroughly convinced he has written for his mom, dad his brother and now YOU 🫵🏼, it’s his way of showing his appreciation without yk, getting embarrassed having to verbally say anything.

Your favorite part of the day is when the Entity finally takes pity on you all and lets you have a night off. A night of relaxing in the campground was exactly what the doctor ordered (no not that one!) after a trial. While you enjoyed the company of other survivors, you found that you often would trek away from the camp to be alone with your thoughts.
Even though the circumstances were awful, you did enjoy being in the woods. The smell of the plants and trees always made you feel better on your little hikes.
It was on one of these solo trips that you met Anna for the first time after a trial. At the time, you had not had a trial with her yet and had jumped about a foot in the air when you had rounded a tree to find the tall woman standing there. You apologized for almost running into her before you even realized she was a Killer.
Needless to say, you vacated the area quick.
You thought that would be it, but you kept running into her in the woods. Over and over again, until you finally decided to bite the proverbial bullet and talk to her. You found that she was the strong silent type, but a wonderful listener. You actually knew a bit of Russian from a linguistics course and that connection brought you even closer together.
You started spending less and less time at the camp and more time in the woods with her. Talking, exploring, and eventually...
Anna has you pinned to a tree as she works her mouth up and down the column of your throat. You hum pleasantly as you grind against her leg between your thighs.
She drops to her knees suddenly and is so tall she's face to face with your chest. She rucks up your shirt and sucks at a nipple, making you groan and knot your fingers into the hair at the base of her skull.
There's shuffling and crackling of twigs nearby, and Anna is on her knees in a flash, stepping in front of you quickly. You yank your shirt back into place quickly, before nudging her in the opposite direction. If it's another survivor, they can't see you with her like this. It's not ideal, but you both understand the game at play here.
Anna sends you a hard look before she disappears into the trees, and you do your best to look casual as the footsteps near.
Claudette's form appears behind a tree as she looks at the forest floor. She sees you standing there and smiles, looking a bit puzzled.
"Oh hey! I didn't realize you would be out this way. I didn't mean to bother you, I just wanted to take a look around."
You smile back, trying to encourage your heart to slow from the fright of almost being caught. "All good, I should probably head back anyway." You say a bit awkwardly. You make your way in the direction she came from, desperate to get some distance when her voice stops you cold.
"Is that a hickey on your neck?!"

Hello 👋 Non-Angst anon here again! Apologies for popping up so frequently as of late 😅 but I had to relay a funny conversation that happened between me and my girlfriend while I was info dumping about TMNT as well as showing her some of ur art and explaining ur AU. Or as she says: "Showing off the art of ur favorite artist like some sort of proud parent showing baby pictures 🤣"
But anyways, I was telling her that even thought Leo is a complete and utter asshole in this AU he's like one of my fave characters in it. I said that I didn't know why that is and she said without missing a beat: "Oh its because he's basically me before I finally got my shit together." And I was like 😧 "Oh shit u right! We just gotta switch out his daddy issues with ur mommy issues and he's like ur twin or something!" Then she was like: "Well I like Donnie cuz he reminds me of you. Especially his relationship with Pasiflora." And I was like: "Explain??" And she said: "Extremely autistic, non-confrontational especially when uncomfortable, and only alive because of your dogs." so its safe to say riwoos a shy guy, alongside the rest of the other members- because from what IVE seen, they either brush jaehyuns flirting off or give him the most blankest stare..
so imagine!! jaehyun who meets riwoos younger sister, whose the complete opposite of her brother!

..but it doesn’t feel like riwoo.. riwoo doesnt tense up like this. and to his surprise its his sister!! in riwoos jacket!! he’d do that cartoony fallback and fall onto his butt.. he’d most definitely be scared too and apologize alot.
in short, that night jaehyun and the reader hang out and they grow significantly closer!! and the next following days they always meet at the kitchen to just talk about their day and such..

you continually doing "I'm not like /those/ vegans" i.e. your recent response to the "i like annoying vegans" post honestly just feels like apologism. please stop responding if you're just going to throw "unacceptable" vegans under the bus.
oh no i meant the people putting cats on a plant based diet! 😧 i replied to the person that my post wasnt about cruel people but just loud vegans people call annoying. i said that "i don't mean vegans like that..." with dots because i thoughts words are being put into my mouth again and i'm very tired of people trying to make vegans messages look bigoted when it was meant to be wholesome
i went through my blog to look for stuff to alter and i came across the post "why would you want to be mean when you can be so niceys" and that wasn't about other vegans but people i see send anon hate to my favorite blogs, i will make a mention there
i will try and do better in the future, i'd hate to be like "im not like other vegans." every time someone in real life talks about how some vegans or activists are crazy, i always tell them that i think they are amazing and brave for speaking up even when they are getting hate.
i mention a lot that veganism is not about hating disabled people etc. because i hate that vegans are seen like that, and that its used against our message that "veganism is racist/classist etc." but hmm, maybe it wont convince people who already hate us? 🤔
thanks for letting me know, i want to show that i support other vegans. if you have ideas for how i can do what i try to do without making it seem like i don't like other vegans, i'm taking them.

“Never Trust a Snake” is actually my favorite season 1 episode, so I apologize for the person I became while making this… I also apologize for what some might consider to be excessive Lloyd love. cleaning out my drafts:
#374 on my rotating list of super self-indulgent daydreams is an old one, but it’s still one of my favorite go-to’s when i want to zone out for a bit. it’s also spawned about a hundred different variations, so that’s fun.
okay.
gabriel manages to bring back emilie.
everything is good for the first couple of weeks, but it’s not long before the situation starts to go south. emilie doesn’t like the way her husband’s assistant looks at him now. or, for that matter, the way her husband looks at his assistant. their relationship has obviously grown much more familiar in her absence, to the point where they just naturally gravitate toward each other. the lingering touches are a little concerning, too.
and, god, does he fret over her health.
of course, he has no idea why this would bother her and is completely blindsided when she finally confronts him about her suspicions. were they having an affair? are they still having an affair? she doesn’t believe him when he says no (which may, or may not be true) and decides to give him an ultimatum - her or nathalie, pick one.
the next morning, gabriel fires nathalie.
it’s one of the hardest things he’s ever had to do, and his guilt becomes nearly unbearable when she offers him a small, sad smile. “i understand. really, i do. and it’s ok, gabriel. you’ll be just fine without me. i promise.”
life goes on.
nathalie gets a job in new york with audrey bourgeois, of all people. she’s not happy, per sé. but it’s not all bad. and she’s got her own assistant now, so there’s that. but she misses paris. and adrien. gabriel, too. though she refuses to admit just how much.
meanwhile, gabriel and emilie quietly separate.
it’s just not the same anymore. they’re not the same anymore.
gabriel throws himself into work. his spring collection is such a hit that the style queen herself demands a one-on-one interview with him. he relents, eventually (because, goddamn, that woman can get annoying when she wants something), and jets off to new york for a round of press conferences with the american media.
it’s on day two, as he’s lounging in one of audrey’s many boardrooms, that gabriel’s heart nearly bursts out of his chest after catching a glimpse of nathalie striding purposefully down the hallway. she’s wearing a particularly attractive burgundy pantsuit and smirking savagely at something on her phone, and there’s a certain fire in her eyes that causes his stomach to do a little flip. she looks good. healthy.
but he has to be certain.
“i’m sorry,” he says, interrupting whatever it is audrey’s talking about as he pushes to his feet and takes a step toward the door. “there’s something i just need to - ”
“no.”
gabriel stops, gaze flicking back down to audrey. “no? what do you mean, no?”
“first of all,” she says, holding up a perfectly manicured index finger, “we are still in the middle of an interview. and second,” another finger, “nathalie isn’t interested in talking to you. if you even attempt to approach her, i’ll have you thrown out of the building. capiche?”
gabriel’s frown deepens. “i thought you two didn’t like each other.”
“we don’t,” audrey snorts. “but that doesn’t mean i’ll let you harass her after everything you put her through. oh, don’t look at me like that. we got drunk together backstage at a show once. i understand that’s how it started with you, too.”
and gabriel is just 😧
because he would never intentionally harass nathalie. not in a million years. he wants to talk to her, yes, to apologize to her for how badly he screwed up. especially now that he knows the situation left her wounded enough to confide in audrey-fucking-bourgeois, but he would never force her to see him if she didn’t want to.
so he asks audrey to set up a meeting. she agrees, but is very clear with him whose side she’s on and what she’ll do if he steps a single toe over the line.
and this is when it usually devolves into they were having an affair, actually, and this is how gabriel finds out nathalie’s pregnant

i haven’t watched haikyuu in SO LONG because they took it off netflix which is what i used to watch it on!! you’re making me want to rewatch it now lol. AND YOUR TASTE IS IMMACULATE NONNIE!! that episode is SO intense and tbh i was indifferent towards tsuki literally until that episode!! i feel like that’s the peak of his character development and it’s so satisfying when he screams in victory and everyone attacks him (and noya bites his shoulder LMAO - i think that’s the same episode)
i think my favorite episode is either “tempo” where hinata gets training from the old coach ukai or “vs. umbrella” where they play the 3 on 3 match with akaashi, kuroo and bo. i like tempo because i feel like it’s a really defining point for hinata as a player and he learns a lot. and vs. umbrella is just a really feel good episode bc i love all those dorks so much😭when hinata hits the tips of their fingers of the block and kuroo is like “😧did you AIM that one???” lol i just love it.

Good evening my moon <3333! I know I am suddenly showing up after 3 weeks of insane hell, but I am also showing up because said hell will be extinguished by the only me~ how are you currently doing my little lamb?
oh do I have a lottt to tell you! for starters I was hunting Shirabubu down since apparently his roommate hasn’t seen him in weeks😧 so after some digging I eventually found him crammed in a studio studying at 4:20 AM. Now while I think I was being perfectly fine with lecturing him, he thinks I have put the fear of god into him while sulking about being caught😔. Anyways I would expect for him to finally be off of Shiratorizawa’s hands in about 3 more days (cause they are really pouring into him😬).
although first and foremost, I am giving you the recipe to one of my secret (and all-time favorite) baked goods which you absolutely adore my sweets <33! And yes, it is indeed the recipe to one of my chocolate cakes as an apology for not answering back in three weeks my lovely! But of course, I expect more from myself and will ensure I do not go awol like this ever again my prince!
Now that I am here and you will have most likely recovered, I am already on the way with your sweet basket (yes I have concocted a basket with an array of chocolates just for you <333) to accompany you after not seeing you for almost 23 whole days!

THINGS YOU DO THAT GIVE HIM BUTTERFLIES. . .
✫ ft. suna, akaashi, kuroo, sakusa, oikawa, iwaizumi, and atsumu x gn!reader
✫ a/n: i’m a sucker for casual intimacy.
✫ SUNA can’t help but lean into your touch when you run your hands through his hair. “mm, keep doing that,” he tells you, closing his eyes with a gentle smile on his face. he’s laying his head in your lap, hiding his face in your stomach. and he’s lucky that you can’t see the blush on his cheeks as you comb your fingers through the soft strands. “what was that? you want me to stop?” slowly retracting your fingers, you hear a tsk. suna laces his slender fingers around your wrist and brings it back to his head. and when you lean down to give his forehead a soft kiss, a grin breaks out on his face — all because of you.
✫ AKAASHI feels his heart rate pick up when you pull him into a hug. there’s something so innocent about the way you hold onto his waist, pulling him towards you so you could wrap your arms around him, and he loves the pure kind of love you show him. he hopes you can’t hear the beating in his chest (you can), and he prays that you never let go. “keiji.” he simply hums in response. “you give the best hugs,” you murmur into his chest. a breathy laugh leaves his mouth, and you know by the sound of it that he’s smiling. his eyes are probably crinkled, his dimple making an appearance. and you smile, too, hearing the way the beating in his chest gets just a bit faster.
✫ KUROO feels so incredibly giddy when you laugh at his jokes. he melts at the sound of your laughter. to him, it sounds like everything beautiful in the world — the dew on a spring morning, wind chimes on a breezy day, the sparkles you see on water when the sun hits it just right. and when you look up at him with the remnants of that glorious sound leaving your lips, he can’t hold himself back from placing his hand on your jaw, and slowly leaning down to kiss your lips. you’re both laughing into the kiss — the feeling of nothing but joy encased between you two — and he feels his heart burst in his chest.
✫ SAKUSA knows that he isn’t always the best at giving you affection. of course, he tells you he loves you every day, and does little things for you, but physical touch has never been his strongest point. so when you lean your head on his shoulder to get comfortable during a long and tiring train ride, sakusa looks at you with love in his eyes. to be this comfortable with him and to initiate the touch he craved so much makes him fall for you even more. he leans his head on yours, taking the chance to slowly intertwine his fingers with yours.
✫ OIKAWA feels his face burn when you tell him you’re proud of him. with sparkling eyes, you tell him the three words that mean so much to him — “i’m so proud” — which sound a lot like three other special words to him. and sometimes, he’ll pretend it was nothing, saying “of course you are, i did great out there.” but when you nod in agreement, pink paints his cheeks. other times, he’ll look at you and simply pull you into a hug, pressing a kiss to your cheek, and wishing you’d tell him those words forever and more.
✫ IWAIZUMI rarely talks about his day, opting to ask about yours instead. he’s always been one to listen and support others, whether it be his team or you. however, when you ask him about his day out of the blue, his breath gets caught in his throat. all of a sudden, he’s a stuttering mess. he feels your hand slip into his, your thumb stroking the back of his hand, and he tells you about every aspect of his day: the little kid who said he wanted big arms like him, the bitter coffee at work, and how he missed you all day. at the end of it, you’re the one who’s flustered, smiling at the thought of being on his mind all day.
✫ ATSUMU lives for your attention. he says he can’t live without it. he often surprises you with little gifts, or by wrapping his arms around your waist to catch you off-guard, but once those actions are reciprocated, tsumu feels his whole body warm up with the feeling of pure love. and when you show him that you were thinking about him by bringing him some lunch to practice, or by randomly coming up to him to kiss his lips, he realizes that he’s never felt this type of love before he met you. “what was that for?” he’ll say smugly, taking ahold of your waist after you kiss his lips. “hm? nothing, just felt like doing that.” and with that, he’s pulling you in for another kiss — this one deeper, and slower. you can feel his heart beating in his chest against yours, and he hopes that your hands won’t notice how warm his cheeks are.
