just saw your new request guidelines and thank you for being better about gender things in your posts! you're the best ❤️ there are so many people in this fandom's fic community that use "afab" as a synonym for "female" and i've been losing my mind about it because i'm a trans man, so i get into a fic and then they drop "she/her" and i get so turned off by it lmao

ofc!! i also lose my mind about that, i’m not a trans man, but i am afab (i’m not cis, that’s all i can explain) so i’ll read an afab!reader post and then i get hit the “she/her”. i don’t know if people forget that not everyone who is afab is a woman or something,,,, i technically go by all pronouns, but seeing constant “afab!reader” and then getting hit with the untagged she/her or a very very feminine pet name is a terrible reminder than people see women as the default. there isn’t much content for folks who are not women and/or gay, so everything being untagged is very disheartening. this is also a big reason why i mainly write gn!reader.

i wrote this in the car so i possibly could’ve worded this terribly. lmk if anyone needs clarification lol
