Moon Knight Boys Helping With Writer’s Block (HC)

i am currently having the worst writers block while writing a jake lockley x reader fic. i thought i could finish it today but that doesn’t seem to be the case. in the meantime, because this is my copium, here's some short headcanons on how the boys would help. ENJOY!!

terrible.

he would be absolutely terrible at helping.

no offense marc but i have a feeling he'd try to help and just fail miserably.

like, he'd look at your writing for a split-second and immediately give up cause he has no idea how any of that shit works.

but, even then, he's very good at complimenting you and motivating you

would bring you snacks to help get your brain going.

also little pecks to the face every now and then cause he likes giving you attention.

tries to help again and would instead just point out the wrong things

you appreciate it anyway because it's marc and you love him too much

Steven Grant

steven reads a lot so it would make sense for him to be very literate.

he helps you with grammar mistakes, better vocab, fixing tenses, all of that kinds of stuff.

for every mistake that he points out, he'd always end it with "but if you wanna keep it there, that's fine too." even though it isn't fine, he just doesn't want to act like a smartass

you tell him that he's doing a good job every time and his face would just absolutely be beaming with joy.

without the both of you realizing, you'd have spent hours just sitting there and writing and writing non-stop

suddenly it's 2 am and you're both drained out and won't be able to continue

you had fun writing with him though and would definitely start planning a little writing date

Jake Lockley

now jake, jake wouldn't know how to write anything but

he's very good at acting out fight scenes and giving you a more visualized picture to what you would be writing

he also would just, know things for some reason

say goodbye to google, you have jake lockley to ask now

any questions you have starting from "how to stitch up wounds" to "how long it would take for someone to bleed out." he would always have an answer to them

he also knows a lot of fighting technique names that isn't just punching and kicking

he helps a lot with those

when you ask how he knows these things, he tells you that it's because he's usually the only one who gets into fights

which results in him getting injured a lot and having to tend to his own wounds

he doesn't do it as much now but it still worried you

you end up just worrying about him the whole day and completely forgetting about your writing

you get back to it though after a while and jake never stops helping cause he's a sweetheart

my dramatic ass pacing circles in the kitchen like im never writing anything ever again bc nothing feels great anymore it just feels good and apparently i will not apply myself even to my most longterm and beloved passion if i can't feel prodigious at it. fym ur gonna stop trying altogether ur also gonna get ur period in the next few days but im sure there's no correlation

#trying to write and rereading it like the pacing is off the characterisation is stale the dialogue is blocky #and i can't get the concept down the way i want so im perpetually stuck in that 'on the tip of your tongue' feeling #and i cant read things to pass the time not even fics bc im too busy psychoanalysing every single sentence #trying to find some hidden thing that makes this writing better than mine how can this writer get it when i just cant what's wrong with me #and it's all so GODDAMN FRUSTRATING. but aside that im being really calm about it <3 #i can't remember the last time i wrote something and felt genuinely proud of it. i always get very intense long periods of writer's block #and i know i'll come out the other end bc i'll find a new obsession and write 20k words of my best work in one night #and feel like i snorted three lines off a toilet seat in berghain. but also What If This Time Im Just Broken #hi im a girl in my twenties who never learnt from my own behaviour!

The dark media focusing on women that you mentioned still falls into the bury your gays trope, especially with killing eve. We as lesbians deserve better than constant negativity. The L word original, even is filled with cheating. What shows and movies have you seen that don’t have any of this, to the point where you feel like it’s over flooding with positivity and no dark media? Almost all of the media aimed at us is already so dark, open your fucking eyes?

I've been doing some of my drafting on paper instead of writing it online recently and boy am I ever reminded that my handwriting is scribbly. It's a wonder how I can even read it.

I can tell whenever I hit an 'a-ha' moment because my script gets messier and messier the faster I write.
