Spoilers for No Way Home

One of my biggest pet peeves with mcu spidey is that he didn’t feel like spider-man. You know? The friendly neighborhood Spider-Man who cared about helping the little people, who didn’t have much money-wise but his conviction. Don’t get me wrong, I love Tony Stark with all my heart, and their relationship is cute (rip irondad 😔), but still, I couldn’t help thinking that’s not how Peter’s introduction and story should’ve been.

But now, after everything, after everyone forgot about him, I feel he’s getting a second chance at being Spider-Man. The one who cares about protecting the little people. The one who despite losing everything, he remains strong and good, so good. Keeping the memory of May alive by helping those in need. He’s the hero of the people once again. Without the big technology and super suits, but just himself in a tiny apartment, and so many things ahead of him. It brings me so much happiness.

Welcome back, Spider-Man.
