Buck and Eddie's relationship was still kinda a secret for the public eye; well kinda because they weren't sure of sharing it yet but they weren't subtle at all with those shared looks and hidden touches. The 118 all knew about them, they were only waiting for them to have the courage to tell them.

The crew of firefighters was so proud of themselves for figuring it out: Hen brought it up one night when they were hanging out at Athena and Bobby's house and the two men conveniently left early together.

"I name it, they're totally involved" Chimney was a little confused, "what do you mean? Of course they are, they're best friends"

When Hen asked her about her romantic life she said "they" and "them", but everyone just assumed it was just a person who would go by these pronouns not that there were actually two people.

Evan felt a rock being left off his stomach, so he then took (Y/N)'s hand and continued "all three of us".

She only smiled at them.

There was a minute of silence when they thought they had made a big mistake, and everything was starting to crumble. But again, Hen spoke "fucking finally"

"Y-you knew?" (Y/N) had to start draw circles on Buck's hand.

"Of you and Eddie? Of course! (Y/N) is... A pleasant surprise" she blushed at this.

"so...you're okay with this?" Eddie was the one to ask the question they feared the most. It was obvious to (Y/N) that the 118 wouldn't have said anything but for two newly queer men... She understood the uncertainty.

"Why wouldn't we?" Chimney answered

"Yeah, you're all happy, that's what matters to us" Bobby finished.

There was another moment of silence after, where everyone was accommodating to the news.

Ravi saw the perfect opportunity to say what he wanted to say for months now: "I knew it first!"

LMAO In case you were wondering whether s7 of 911 will be subtle about their gratitude/debt to ABC for saving the show, the answer is a resounding no.

Also, I have lost a lot of respect for Frank as a shrink, but gained a lot of love for him as a sass king. "Did she win!?" The murderous look Athena gave him was priceless. I love her, too. She doesn't even need words to rule.

The show really is the only forum to respect the pair even less than fandom does. And of course we find out about it in the middle of a scene built around Eddie being half naked, Buck watching him, with the camera specifically turning so we can discover Buck was initially covered by Eddie's body, and the angle change reveals him, when the whole thing wraps up with Eddie welcoming Buck back to the land of the living... Yeah, wonder what made Buck feel alive again. Don't know. 'Tis a mystery. We were given zero clues...

"I want the honeymoon life." *cries* Chimney is just such a good, good man. And okay, expecting your whole life to be a honeymoon's a bit unrealistic, but Madney are living together and they have a child. They know this. Chim knows this, but he still wants to go for it. OMG, that scene with Eddie recounting to Buck what Christopher's date was like... If I were to write my Buddie meta, I would serve a three course meal just from that. I mean, the fact that watching Chris hanging out with a girl he likes, makes Eddie compare it to "hanging out with his guy friends" (when there's no lack of interest in this girl... in fact, it turns out that if anything, Christopher's problem is the opposite of a lack of interest) is so telling. There's a reason why that's where Eddie's mind went.

But then also... Eddie's trust in Buck got to me, the way he went to his best friend (not his own gf) for help with Chris. But that was still played with half a smile. But then Buck sort of disses himself jokingly, and Eddie won't have it. "You didn't end up like you." He sees how Buck worked on being a better person, even when Eddie wasn't there for the worst of it, and he appreciates it, and won't let Buck forget it. Meeeep. I love them.

Oh Chim. I was giving you so much credit, and then you went and bought that outdoors jacuzzi. lol Still love him. That's what Maddie's reminding herself of right now, too. ;p

Poor Hen, she was great in this ep, but none of it was really about her, she was comic relief, both with Chim and with the red wire. Then again, she was amazing in this, like she always is with everything.

Eddie and Buck were both so good with Chris this ep, MY HEART. Buck with getting him to talk about what's really bothering him, and Eddie with realizing exactly what his son needs, and how to give it to him. They completed each other. Neither one would be helping Chris without the other one. Tell me again how they're not soulmates?

In conclusion, I love Bobby saying, "Let's go prove one of us wrong," when they're both right. Something WAS going on with Norman and Lola, AND Athena was using them to avoid him.

Argh. That scene of the ship and its passengers being hijacked was rough to watch. </3 I'll still be here to watch the conclusion of this. That's the power of 9-1-1 for you.

It def felt like a great kick to the new season. We had lots of comedy and fun, some great tension, some emotional moments (especially with Christopher), but all in all, it's still clear that the whole thing's a build up to next week. Are you excited?

Buck & Eddie: Eddie KNOWS Buck!

The title of episode 7x5 is "You don't know me" (it could change) and when I read it, all I could think about is something I haven't been able to forget since 6x4 aired. It was Buck’s conversation with Connor and IMO, it was weird and superficial for REASONS I might explain in a future post.

Anyway, Buck's overall arc in Season 6 was about him trying to be at ease while not making the same mistakes (which started at the end of 5x18). In 6x1, he wanted to be interim captain, then he went on to search for happiness in 6x2 followed by his decision to be Connor's sperm donor in 6x4 and that led to the comment included in the scene below, "I know those things about you". But the question is, does Connor really know Buck? 🤔

Reminder, based on the things that were shown in CANON in 4x5, Buck and Connor never really knew each other. They were acquaintances who met while they were in Peru and that was after Buck left Hershey when Maddie told him to "Go and be happy". During their conversation while Buck was bartending, Connor "suggested" Buck move to L.A. with him and the guys he knew because they were "kind of like a family". It's important to note that Connor said it after he stopped listening to Buck while he was trying to explain something to him.

Who always listens to Buck? EDDIE!

Now on to Season 7.

In the recent TCA interview, with regards to Buck’s self-discovery journey, OS commented that Buck’s sperm donation for his friends "hasn't necessarily played in any kind of conscious way so far" within the first 5 episodes (see below).

So the question is, could Buck tell Connor, "You don't know me!" in a conversation about the baby in 7x5 and it have something to do with Buck’s self-discovery journey? It's possible since as mentioned above, Connor doesn't really know Buck. Let's be real... when Connor reappeared they hadn't seen each other in three years and the attributes Connor mentioned about why he asked him to be his sperm donor instead of him going to a sperm bank aren't necessarily HEREDITARY.

Reminder, Buck likes to make things about himself and he likes to fix things. Therefore, the way things played out in 6A made it seem like he was making things about himself with the sperm donation too.

Here are a few of the comments that have been said to Buck and about him by his family.

In 3x1 and 3x2 (they replayed some of the scene from the end of 3x1 at the beginning of 3x2), Chris said, "You're going to be ok kid" after Buck told him he hopes he finds a job he likes and somethimg that makes him feel like he matters when he grows up. This happened after Buck quit the 118 but before the Tsunami.

In 3x6, Hen told Bobby, "I think Buck makes everything hard on Buck. The boy has two settings... zero and shut up before I smack you". They were discussing Bobby letting Buck work again after the lawsuit.

In 3x9, Eddie said, "So we're making this about you again?" while they were in the kitchen after Buck apologized for the second time following the lawsuit.

In 3x16 Chimney said, "So it's all about you?" when Buck was telling the team about Red.

In 3x16, Maddie said, "So you don't think this business with Red is hitting a little too close to home? A lonely hero firefighter who's pining for his lost love."

In 4x5, Athena said, "You never give up, that's what being Buck means to me" after he stayed in the warehouse fire against orders.

In 5x4, Eddie said, "You're the guy who likes to fix things" after Maddie and Chimney left.

In 6x11, dead Bobby said, "Aww kid, if what matters to you most is the way people see you... then you haven't learned a damn thing" in Buck’s coma dream.

They all know how Buck likes to make things about himself and at various points, they've said it in some form or another. Family won't hesitate to tell the people they love the truth unlike those who want to get what they can then leave like Connor did. And that's one of the reasons why I think Buck didn't talk to anyone about the sperm donation because if he had, they would have told him the truth. He did talk to Hen and even though she didn't discourage him, she did caution him about the possible ramifications of it except he was adamant about doing it and he wouldn't listen to the universe when it kept screaming at him.

Does Connor know Buck? NO!

The person who does know Buck is EDDIE!

Eddie not only knows him, HE SEES HIM! He also listens to him, he takes care of him and he's the one who's been there for him. In 6x1, he helped Buck see another side to Bobby's decision about interim captain. In 6x6, Eddie was the one who reassured him that Karen would be fine without a spleen. The list goes on and on but 9-1-1 made it a point in Season 6 to show the GA that NO ONE knows Buck like Eddie does and that continued even in 6x15 when Buck said that BS about ND seeing him.

No one believed it and it's possible Buck didn't believe it either.

The point of this post is that Buck’s breakdown may finally happen in Season 7 and it might have something to do with the sperm donation 👀.

Reminder, he didn't have one in season 6 even though he died and I think all of these things are related and could lead to it.

If Buck does have a breakdown, who's going to be by his side? EDDIE!

The same way Buck was by Eddie’s side after Eddie’s breakdown.

I said I wasn't going to speculate and I hadn't planned on it but I have so many thoughts about what could trigger Buck’s breakdown and I've been debating whether I'll post them. But I just might now that everything seems to be pointing in that direction.

Will Buck finally breakdown in season 7? Only the showrunner, writers and producers know the answer to that question.

I will personally fight (figuratively) anyone who's being mean about Tommy. "but oh he was soo mean in the first season" boo hoo, cry about it. The people he was mean to forgave him and he felt remorse, that's all that matters. What's more is you all seem to forget Athena and Bobby would be d3@d without him. Hen was friendly with him and so was Chimney. They clearly forgave him. Just because he did something wrong (which mind you he was surrounded by people that not only encouraged that behavior but also shunned anyone who didn't act that way) doesn't mean that's an excuse to be all butthurt about it, let alone rude to his actor. He was also clearly deep deep in the closet and while it doesn't make it okay I'm sure you can understand how terrifying it was to know what the people around you would do if they found out. Some of you are so delusional that you think it's okay to call him (a very, very, beautiful man) ugly like he's not a real person, you can't be crying about "oh he was so mean and a bully" if you yourself are a bully. Let's not forget thanks to his character we're getting arguably one of the first real and sweet bi realizations on TV. Okay so my scenario for if buddie is gonna be canon at the end of this season:

It's Maddie and Chimneys wedding. Everyone is celebrating outside, Buck and Eddie are standing beside each other with drinks in their hands. There's a silence between them which is not very pleasant and suddenly, both of them are like:"Can we talk?"

They look at each other kinda smile and buck or Eddie, doesn't really matter goes:"Yeah, let's just go in there."

So they go into some kind of tent. Eddie just starts talking something like this: "So, first of all I'm so proud of you and happy for you that you've discovered who you are and that things are going so well with Tommy." Then he gets all emotional: "And I really want that for you, to be happy and be yourself and live life the way you want. But for some reason I feel this -I don't know- kind of sadness or anger o-or maybe even jealousy. And it's kinda toward Tommy and maybe partly even towards you but mostly I think I'm just angry at myself. Because I like you buck, probably more than I should and I'm so stupid that I never said anything because now you're so happy and you're with Tommy, and you should be, but I'm just so jealous."

There's a silence and Buck is kinda smiling and blushing a bit but Eddie doesn't see that because he's so upset and he interprets the silence falsely and thinks that he did something wrong so:

"Oh my god, I shouldn't have said anything. That was wrong I'm sorry please forget I ever said any-"

And surprise surprise

Buck kisses Eddie to shut him up, similar to how Tommy did it to Buck.

They break the kiss and Eddies brain has just completely stopped working, (similar to Buck after the kiss with Tommy) and Buck goes:"I ended things with Tommy last week. I think I was so overwhelmed and confused with all my feelings and emotions that I didn't understand who I actually wanted."

They stand there, looking and smiling at each other.

Then obviously something has to happen to explain why their suits were so dirty:

Suddenly, Eddie grabs Buck by the neck and starts kissing him, the kiss gets heated and stuff. There's a glass of wine standing on a table, and when Eddie pushes Buck against said table, the glass falls on Bucks pants, so that's where the stain came from. Buck takes off Eddies jacket and unbuttons his shirt when ALL OF A SUDDEN, there's some kind of gas heating and some tablecloth catches fire. They don't really notice at first but then they do and because Eddies jacket is already thrown away, he only has his shirt to try to put the fire out.

When the fire is out they look at each other and just start laughing. Like literally holding there stomachs and having tears in their eyes. When they have calmed down a bit they start facing each other and Buck goes: " What took us so long?" And Eddie answers: "I have no idea."

They smile and Buck goes in for a hug. Eddie accepts and they are just standing there hugging and being happy. "So what are we now?", Buck asks "Well, I can think of something.", Eddie answers and slowly let's go of Buck. "Evan Buckley, will you be my boyfriend?", he says. Buck gives him a kiss and says: "Yes of course I'll be your boyfriend." They go in for a quick hug and then decide to go back outside. Obviously everyone is looking at them and seeing the state they are in, someone (Maddie or Bobby or Chminey or Hen) is like: "Fucking finally."

Okay so this actually turned out to be more of a one shot fanfiction but this is what I think could happen.

BATHENA ANGST. It's been so long since we've gotten some proper agony from these two. I don't count 6x03 because, even though the situation was stressful, they were still very much a united front, and while I don't see that being any different with the cruise ship, I fully believe there's going to be a moment where they think they're going to die. And near-death experiences are always so revealing and juicy. Just the way couples (or almost-couples) look at each other and how much goes said and unspoken?? DELICIOUS. I'm getting chills just thinking about it.

It’s been a week since Eddie and I got engaged and we haven’t told anyone besides the kids and Carla. We wanted it to stay between us for a little while. Today was saturday and Buck was getting Alex from the house which would be the first time we saw each other since Eddie and I’s engagement. I could just take the ring off and pretend that Eddie and I aren’t engaged but I don’t think I can go much longer without telling Buck. I was sitting on the couch when I heard the doorbell ring. “Alex, Buck is here. Please make sure you don’t forget anything.” “Alright mom.” Alex yelled from her room. I went to the door to let Buck in. “Hey Buck. She’s almost ready, come in.” Buck smiled at me as I opened the door. “Hey, it’s like I haven’t seen you in forever. Where have you been hiding?” Buck looked me up and down and that’s when he noticed the ring on my left middle finger. “Or should I say what have you been hiding?” I let out an awkward laugh. “Yeah, uhh…We’re engaged.” Buck looked uneasy. “That’s great. I’m happy for you guys.” Buck’s reply felt flat and had no meaning behind it. “Is Alex almost ready? I’m just kind of in a rush.” “I’m not sure. Where you rushing to?” I asked, hoping to keep our conversation going. A week without seeing Buck was stressful enough. Having awkward tension between us would just make it worse. “Just home. Wanted to get a few things done and all.” “Redecorating or remodeling?” Before Buck could answer, Eddie came from the room into the living room. “Hey Buck. What’s up?” “Nothing. Just heard the news, congrats guys.” He said, once again lacking any sincerity or emotion. “Thanks. Could you keep this between us? At least until tomorrow? I wanna tell the team myself.” “Yeah of course no problem.” Alex walked into the living room with her belongings. “You ready kiddo?” “Yeah. Bye guys.” “Bye honey. Have fun with dad.” I hugged her as she left. “Bye Buck.” “Later y/n.” He and Alex left. “Did you notice anything off about Buck?” “What do you mean?” “He just seemed weird. I don’t know, not like himself?” “No, I didn't notice anything. Why?” “Nothing, just forget about it. Let’s order something to eat.” I walked to the kitchen with Eddie following behind me.

Eddie’s POV

It was the beginning of my shift at the 118 and I thought now would be the best time to tell them about Y/n and I’s engagement. I went into the kitchen and saw Chimney, Bobby, Hen, Ravi, and Buck. “Hey guys. I have some news.” “What’s up? Everything okay?” Ravi asked. “Yeah everything’s great. I just wanted to tell you guys Y/n and I got engaged last week.” “What? That’s great!” Hen exclaimed as she pulled me into a hug. “Congrats. That’s amazing.” Bobby added. I looked over and noticed Chimney was giving me a weird look. Thankfully the bell went off which meant it was time for us to get into the field. After stopping the fire and returning back to the firehouse, Chimney finally caught up to me when it was just the two of us in the locker room. “Engaged? Was this before or after you told her you hooked up with your ex?” “Chim, just drop it. Alright?” “No, I’m not going to drop it. You’ve done some really stupid things Eddie but this? This takes the cake. I told you to tell her.” “Yeah and I decided not to. What’s the point? It’s not like it’ll ever happen again.” “That’s not the point. You want to start a marriage on a lie? Is that what Y/n deserves?” “I said drop it Howie.” I slammed the locker closed. “It’s not your life it’s mine alright?” “Listen I’m not trying to get into your life or make any decisions for you but Y/n is my friend just as much as you are and I can’t do this to her. If you don’t tell her, someone will.” “For the last time, drop it.” I started to head to the bathroom.

Chimney’s POV

After finishing my shift and the tense talk with Eddie, I headed home to Jee and Maddie. Maddie was awake when I got there but Jee was still asleep. “Hey, you’re up early.” “Couldn’t sleep. How was work?”“As it always is. Home without a scratch and ready to sleep.” “Really.” I hummed in response. “DId you hear the news? Eddie and Y/n are engaged.”“How did you know?” “Buck told me yesterday. I assumed Eddie told you guys today.”“Buck knew already?” “Yeah. He went to pick up Alex and saw the ring. That’s great. I’m so happy for them.” I didn’t reply right away and maddie must have picked up on my hesitation. “That is great right?’ “Yeah, no of course. It’s amazing.”“Howie, what aren’t you telling me?” The way maddie was looking at me I knew there was no lying to her. “Alright. I’m going to tell you something and you can’t tell Buck. You can’t tell anyone actually.” “Okay.”“Promise Maddie.” “I promise.” “Eddie told me that he cheated with Ana.” “What!”“And he still hasn’t told Y/n. So she’s going into a marriage built on a lie. It also seems like he doesn’t plan on telling her.” “What? Howie you knew all of this and you said nothing?”“He asked me not to because he said he wanted to tell her himself, but next thing I know they're engaged and she still has no idea.” “Well we have to do something.”“No, we do nothing. Eddie begged me not to say anything and you just promised me.” “I had my fingers crossed just in case it was something bad.”“Darn it Maddie. We talked about finger-crossing.” “Someone has to tell her.”“It can’t be us though.” I quickly challenged her. “You know what you’re right. Someone she trusts to tell her, someone who knows her very well and cares about her more than both of us combined…” I noticed where her train of thought was headed. “No! I said you can’t tell Buck.”“I know but either we tell her or he does. Which would you prefer?” I sighed because I knew she was right. “Fine but we'll tell him together.”“Okay. We’re doing this as soon as I drop Jee off.” I just groaned. All I wanted was to sleep. Sure enough after Maddie dropped off Jee, she invited Buck over. “So what was so urgent that you guys couldn’t wait until I finished my nap?”“Chimney and I have something to tell you and you have to stay calm. I'm not okay

I LOVED THIS EPISODE SO MUCH!!! OH MY GOSH. This is the anti feeling to last night when I watched tgd and the end killed me for an entirely different reason THE GAYS ARE WINNNINGGGGGG!!!! I'm not okay. Anyway IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Genuinely though all the plots throughout were really good and there were a TON of good moments. Plus the crossover with The Bachelor was GREAT lol. I need to go back and watch those first two minutes but I will update the post slfjdfhs. Now, I'm going to make a quick celebration post and maybe rewatch that clip if possible, and then I'll be back because I can't possibly put off this review xD. Oh my gosh I'm having so many thoughts.

OKAY AAHHH HI ME FROM THE NEXT DAY I was literally freaking out so much (and still am) that I couldn't do it and I kept procrastinating and then I fell asleep lol xD. I have continued to procrastinate (and I had things to do) but!! Here I am :)).

First though, I'm going to go back to the promo bit and add the second half because apparently I completely forgot about it, and I have since watched it a couple of times xD.

Okay!! Now, let's talk about some other bits of the episode xdd.

The Bachelor crossover was so fun!!! I've never seen The Bachelor lol but it was a great story, great call xD. And everyone freaking out SLFKGHDKS!! Maddie and Josh fighting over the call to Chimney giving them spoilers to Eddie siccing the girls on Buck to Bobby and Hen going 👁️👄👁️. And that poor girl xdd. Also the "Do I have to?" "I wouldn't" just killed me xDD. Glad she's okay though :)). Sucks she'll never have her chance lol. But hey, she got to talk to him :)!! Wild xD. Anyway, I think was a super fun thing to throw in there for the 100th episode :DD. It's also interesting to see a reality show crossover with a fiction show xD. Had a fun time with it!!

Maddie and Chim!! They were so funny at the beginning xD. Her sending the 118 was wild lol. Also I loved her face to him later when he was talking about how cool Tommy was right after Buck was complaining about him (😏😏) xDD. They're idiots your honor lol <33. Anyway, Chimney slayed on the calls today 🥰. Especially figuring out the head trauma for that poor woman! Nice job my guy :)). Also, I didn't notice it until I saw subtitles later but "I'm your basketball beard" AUGHWUOGIH!!!! XDD SLFJDGLKDS HE'S SO WILD FOR THAT O.O. Anyway he did genuinely slay, loved him supporting Buck lol :)). I'm sure there was some brother in law bonding in there xD. Maddie slayed on calls too!! I really loved her conversations with Buck though :D :)). The brunch one was sweet and kind of silly, plus the "Is it circled with a heart?" line was SO GOOD LOL SLFJDHS XDD. Idiot <33 (Buck more than anything but it's all affectionate I promise). Also I really loved Maddie's reaction to Buck talking about maybe accidentally purposefully injuring Eddie. It completely makes sense for her character and I'm really glad it was in there, it added some great depth <33. Though the storyline itself has depth!! Especially after the ending lol. Anyway, poor Maddie with her story about the Sarah's :(( xd. That sucks :'(. I do kind of know how it is (not quiiite as close) and it really can be awful xd. Dyeing your hair is a wild step xD. Plus SLFKGJDS "I would've changed both names" oh my gosh XDDD 💀. Also nice on her for calling Buck out for acting like a teenage girl lol. Anyway, love her, and Chimney <33.

Hen and Ravi!! We didn't see much of either of them this episode but they were great :DD. Poor Ravi xD. Bro had no clue what was going on with anything ever lol. He didn't even know who Tommy was! After all the drama he caused!! Poor guy's out of the loop (well for the drama he would cause, is what I meant) lol. They both slayed this episode though :DD!! Hen was great on the house invasion call and the Bachelor call :)). Love them <333.

Bobby, Athena, and Harry!! AYYY Harry :DD!! Welcome back man 🥰. Seeing him greet Athena and Bobby was so nice :'D. It's nice to have him back :')). Sucks to have a change in actors (Marcanthonee will be missed!!) but I'm sure he's gonna be great :)). Elijah, I believe his name is? Welcome aboard dude :DD! Anyway, his return isn't under the best of circumstances o.o. Love Bobby knowing, or being suspicious yk, and called Michael (they are my besties your honor 🥰🥰, I love them <33). Also really glad he told Athena immediately and didn't turn to hide it or anything 😬 :)). Anyway, glad he was so supportive <33. That whole thing was wild though o.o 😬😬😳. It really sucks so much that that happened :((. Harry didn't deserve that, and he was totally valid in his anger and wanting to respond. I don't think he should've beaten the guy up, but I get it. It sucks that he was to be a representative but that's how it is :'((. Hopefully it'll change one day. Also his conversation with Athena about it all and whether she cares more about being a cop or his mom OOUFGH O.O. That bit hit HARD 😬😭. He did have a bit of a point, but I'm glad he apologized <33. And that Athena was more understanding the second time. On a lighter note, her waking up him by pouring a bucket of water on him was amazing LOL xD. Anyway, seeing his reaction to the video hurt so much :((( 😭😭😭💔. It really is awful to see yourself angry. I only tend it see it in writing and it still sucks and is hard xdd. But HALLELUJAH YAYY he's not being charged, at least with prison time that is :')). And he's sticking around :DD!! I'm sure it'll be difficult with Athena monitoring his community service and such but I think it'll be really fun storyline wise :)). Also Athena having to tell that mom that she shot her son 😭😭😭💔💔🥺🥺. That was so awful, I'm so sorry honey <33? And that poor lady 😭😭😭😭💔💔💔. Her acting was amazing <333. It's such an awful situation and I hope she manages to be as okay as she can be :'((. Pooe guy <33 he seemed great :'( :'). Anyway, love them all (the three I said lol) <33 🥰🥰.

Well time to talk about the rest of it besides that one part of the ending lol.

Buck and Eddie, and Tommy!! BROOK this was so wild o.o xD. The jealousy was painful 😭, but I also kinda loved it, it was hilarious xD. It really sucks that Buck was feeling left out, and I do think they were kind of leaving him out, but I don't think it was at all intentional. Eddie invited him to basketball several times, and the other things were things he and Tommy already had plans for. He even seemed excited when he thought Buck was going to come to the fight with them (which that bit HURT by the way lol 💀)!! He did seem kinda shady asking Buck to watch Chris but I'm sure it was an accident xDD. He's just an idiot your honor lol <33. I do wish he was a little more obvious about not blaming Buck when he got injured, but like, he was in a whole lot of pain with a possibly broken ankle xD. It's understandable lol and I don't blame him. I also don't think Tommy was trying to exclude Buck! H was happy to see Buck throughout the episode, he gave him a tour, planned to give him flying lessons!! It was just a really unfortunate situation and Buck wasn't communicating (as he admitted at the end lol). Poor Buck though through all of it 😭😭💔🥺. I know it was kind of on him for not communicating but it just sucks being left out :((, I totally get it. You don't wanna say anything and be told you're overreacting or for people to think it's weird, and you don't wanna be possessive or anything, but it sucks and you miss them :((. I know how it feels xD xd. Still, I'm really glad he was getting aware of it, and he listened to the help from Maddie lol <3.

I think the conversation at the end was a really good way of wrapping it all up. Seeing everyone's side (Eddie's opinion given by Tommy but honestly he wasn't really as involved in the problem lol), and having everyone apologize. Also then them hyping each other up :')). I do find it interesting to see and outside perspective to the 118! We're so used to the family that is the 118 and the 126 that we don't really think about the fact that it's probably not like that for most people xdd. It wasn't even really like that when Tommy was there. And it makes sense for him to be jealous over it!! It's completely understandable and a really cool perspective to see :)). Although I will agree with Buck lol, he's pretty cool on his own lol.

Now, seeing as I was freaking out and forgot half the previous lines, I'm going to say what I thought/my reactions to a few specific lines and everything as it started to ramp up xD.

By the way, I have watched this scene (or at least parts of it) like. 20 times now. And some of it I'm still trying to remember as I freak out once again right now lol xD. So keep that in mind lol.

When they were talking about the mouths static was hilarious xD. In all fairness, it wasn't great lol.

And then the Muay Thai (I think that's how it's spelled?), the after flying lessons bit and "Not in the same day"??? AAAAHHHHHHHHH!! That's where I started to really get stressed and suspicious and in shock xDD. I was like um. what was that. XD.

And then. Buck admitting he was trying to get TOMMY'S attention o.o. I genuinely wasn't expecting it but looking back on the episode it all makes sense yk o.o. Honestly I don't think even Buck really realized that was it until during that conversation, especially given his tone shift. And the Tommy's face afterward 😭. Bro is surprised xD. And I'm going to be completely honest, I thought Buck was saying "I didn't mean my best friend" there and not "I did maim best friend" until like the tenth time I watched it o.o xDD. The first one was wild, a self denial of Buddie because he's oblivious xDD. The second one makes more sense but is equally as wild o.o lol. He's realizing that just before he says it xD. And maim is dramatic but he did injure Eddie 😬🥺. Anyway, the next bit.

It was so wild oh my gosh. You can look at my liveblog for more freaking out about that xD (and probably later in this post lol. And also in anything I've reblogged about it xD). I can still barely believe it's real. That it happened xd. I realized a little while ago that I have no idea what I'd do if Buddie actually got together, and I felt some of that feeling here. We thought for SO LONG,l we wouldn't have it, had kind of lost hope, and then BOOM!!!! I know I had hope for this episode but it wasn't SERIOUS, not really!! Hope but "I expect it.not to happen, no matter how hard I hope xdd". And we may not have gotten Buddie BUT WE DID GET BISEXUAL BUCK!!!!!!! I'm genuinely still so happy about that oh my gosh. I meant to make a post earlier but I was grinning in the hallway at school xD.

Now, AFTER THE KISS WAS SO WILD TOO AAAAHHHHHH.

Also we love Tommy asking if it was okay 🥺🥺🥺❤️🥰 :'). Anyway, it's the way Buck is just absolutely speechless. The only thing he has is the mouth static comment and that's it xD. All he had laid out lol. It's so cute to see him flustered and speechless :')). Also the fact that some of it comes from this revelation he just had (not just being a bi disaster, but discovering he's a bi disaster) is so good <333. And I just- YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!! HE'S F R E E!!! AT 8 ON SATURDAY SURE BUT HE'S F R E E 😭😭😭😭😭💔❤️❤️❤️❤️🥺🥺🥰🥰😎!!! ACCIDENTAL SUNGLASSES BUT WE'RE KEEPING IT. LIKE THE WAY HE SAID IT AUGOAUHUGIH HE. IS FREE!!

Now here's someone I'll say that I've been thinking of about the whole thing. Buck's tone changed, his vibe changed, something in his eyes changed, during that scene. Around the flying lessons bit xD. You can tell. I think he felt it, he just wasn't exactly sure what it was. And whatever he thought it was was probably terrifying (assuming he guessed correctly or knew lol). I think, if Tommy hadn't done something, he would've just let it go, let the moment pass. And, especially if he's done the same thing before, I think he would've pushed it away enough that he stopped thinking about it. I don't know if he has ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯. But it makes me think of a Buck who had Moments, who Wondered, and then dismissed them immediately because there was no way, he Couldn't. Or it was something he couldn't quite place. So he left it alone and forgot about it.

Idk. All I know is I don't think he would've made a move if Tommy hadn't lol, even if he was feeling the vibes xD.

Anyway, I've been genuinely so ill over all of this for literal days now. It's just past midnight on Friday for me lol. I'm just going so insane over it.

Today a question of the day in one of my classes was "What's a moment from tv/movies/musicals that impacted you?", you know something wild or epic or emotional or whatever, that impacted you. And, though it's far from the first time it's happened to me, I said this. Buck realizing he was bisexual. I don't think some people realize (though surely most of us on Tumblr do): This is a masculine, main character (honestly the main character) on an extremely popular mainstream television show, that after 7 seasons realized he was bisexual, and he's not a trope. It is profoundly impactful. Still definitely give credit where it's due to shows that have been doing it since the beginning (Lone Star, for example), but this is huge. They finally CAN do it. And I'm so happy for them, and proud of Buck :')).

Also quick note I just love how much Oliver is committed to and knows his character. The fact that he withdrew media wise because he agreed with us?? Wild. But he genuinely loves Buck so much, probably more than any of us, and he fights so hard to do him right <33. I'm so proud of, but more importantly, happy for him :')). He's been waiting so long for this and he totally deserves it, he absolutely slayed it <33. His acting was AMAZING, as always. I mean it's always great but this was just top both xD :'D. Anyway, thank you Oliver <3.

And thank you to everyone else on the show who worked to make this happen!!! And everyone in the fandom who fought for this!

I still genuinely can't believe it xd. It's just- amazing <3.

Also, quick think on Buddie: I do still want Buddie long-term. But I think Buck and Tommy could be cute, and no matter what I'm just excited to see where it goes for now :)). I actually kind of think it's better that Buck doesn't date Eddie first, for him and for us (a likelihood of them staying together). He needs to discover/explore/understand this new part of himself, and that might require branching out a bit :). Plus it's just good for him to get to be out there and live how he wants to, not worrying about endgame right now. I think Buddie will happen one day, but for now I am absolutely happy with this <333. I think it's gonna be great, and I am so excited :D.

Overall, I really enjoyed this episode! It was sooo good, and not just The Moment. All the calls were cool and interesting, including the crossover, which was fun. Everyone's individual storylines were good, and even through a lot of silly moments, packed and stuffed with emotion :'). Plus all the little throwbacks to episode 1, and the series in general, were great and really awesome :'DD. Also, just thinking about the impact of the kiss being in the 100th episode <33. Wow. So insane (me) <33. Anyway, Buck and Tommy was wild but they were cute, I'm glad Buck and Eddie are doing better. I'm also glad everything got worked out between Athena and Harry <33. The situation sucks but I think we made the best out of it :')). I loved the Buck and Maddie interactions and moments this episode, they were great <33. I wish we got a few more team moments, or full family moments, for the 100th episode, but that's a small thing :) ❤️. I still THOROUGHLY enjoyed it and I thought it was just absolutely amazing.

So yeah! I loved this episode, I thought it was super great. There were a bunch of fun storylines, which I don't want to forget about in light of the last scene. I'm so excited for the next episode! This has been my review of. . .

"Buck, you don't even have a couch." Chris had said.

In the grand scheme of things, it was nothing special, just a simple fact. Not a because Evan or a there's nobody in this world i trust with my son more than you, not a you're gonna be okay kid, or a just keep swimming. Nothing like that.

And yet he hasn't been able to stop thinking about it all day.

Here, sat on the Diaz couch, in the Diaz home, next to the Diaz boys, its all he can fucking think about.

This house that feels lived in and warm and loving, like the walls are actually trying to hug them and cradle them close. This house that feels like a home, not a living space for Buck to exist in when he's on his own. This house that, if he was the kind of person to let himself have what he wants, would be his home. This house where these thoughts don't usually touch him, this house where he forgets about his apartment completely.

And yet, he's zoning out of Eddie's latest PTA horror story because Chris had said you don't even have a couch. He's not even sure why it matters. It doesn't fucking matter! This couch, this couch he's sat on right here and now, this is the only couch that's ever mattered to him.

He's not listening to Eddie because all he can think about is Christopher's scarily adolescent deadpan.

Apparently he's not the only one.

"Why don't you have a couch?" Eddie asks, suddenly, rolling his beer bottle between his palms.

"Uh." Buck blinks, takes a sip of beer. Its his favourite brand, some local brewery that would normally be too expensive for Eddie, but its always stocked here. Its his favourite brand that hadn't been in his own fridge for months because Taylor preferred some fruity, floral beer. "Taylor."

"'Course." Eddie scoffs and rolls his eyes. Buck tries hard not to grin too wide. "But I'm gonna need more than that."

"Do you really need more ammo to hate her?" He tries to quash the familiar fizz of something giddy that travels down his spine whenever Eddie grits his teeth about his ex-girlfriend.

"Buck." Eddie turns to him then, knee pressed against Buck's thigh. "Why don't you have a couch?"

"She brought hers, I got rid of mine." Buck shrugs, picks at the label on the bottle.

"And who decided that her couch got to stay?" Eddie raises an eyebrow. Buck takes another sip of beer to avoid answering. "Yeah, that's what I thought."

And it should be dropped then. What else is there to say?

Taylor came with a couch and she left with a couch. That's all she wrote.

But—

"Its been months. Why didn't you just buy a new one?"

Well. How does he answer that?

Because it has been months. Some of the best months of his life, even with a fresh break-up under his belt. Maddie and Chimney were back, broken-up but happy. Hen and Karen were settled and solid and happy. Bobby and Athena were working towards healing after Jeffrey and Jonah, but they were happy. And Eddie was. He is healing, healthier than he's been in a long time, happy.

But going back to his loft, after a shift, after a day with his niece, after a night on the Diaz couch, still feels like picking a fresh scab or pushing his thumb into a bruise.

How does he answer that without laying his heart bare.

Whatever answer he gives, Buck is certain Eddie will be able to hear the truth behind it.

Because I'd get rid of my bed if it meant sleeping on your shitty, bumpy, tiny couch every night. Because I've dreamt about you telling me to sell my godawful loft. Because home has never been anywhere other than where you and Chris are, that's why I couldn't find it all those years I spent looking.

"I think I want to move."

Its not the truth, its not not the truth. But its the best he can do without ripping his heart from his chest and tossing it into Eddie's lap.

Somewhat Progress

You know, Tommy mentioning what the 118 was like under the old captain and him being scared is some mention of the past and somewhat the beginnings of him actually talking about what he was when he first met Hen and Chimney.

I don't know how far they'll take it. Chimney's called him for help twice now and he's not the one Bobby had an issue with. I am curious about Hen cause her and Tommy were friends in Bobby Begins Again but she seemed kinda weary of him when he showed up and when Eddie asked about him in s3. But they at least mentioned the past!

That was my big issue with Taylor, they never addressed how shitty she was in s2. There was room to talk about it, but they put all their energy into pretending it never happened and trying to make everyone forget. Even when her job became an issue again, it was not as bad as s2. Though even then, Buck didn't get the issue, so maybe the writers really don't get what everyone hates her.

Unpopular Opinion

It's season 7 but it appears the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Disclaimer: These are my opinions and they're based on my observations and interpretations of the BTS pics, interviews and promos that have been released in advance of the upcoming episodes.

Back to the regularly scheduled program...

Eddie

It appears my favorite character Eddie Diaz is about to be sidelined yet again and he won't have a beneficial or substantive storyline 🤔🧐 all his own, possibly for the remainder of season 7. As usual, he'll be there to support Buck but is there anything else for Eddie? Can he please have a storyline that's solely about him and Chris and it not be one that's tied to giggly, creepy and smiling Marisol? He hasn't had one since season 3 and it's been four years therefore, it's time (I'm not including the shooting because the audience didn't see his recovery nor am I including his PTSD arc because it wasn't given the time it deserved and after 5x14 he wasn't shown going to therapy anymore so there's that. Furthermore, he wasn't even shown preparing to go back to the 118, he just slid down the fireman's pole in 5x18 and it wasn't revisited). Can Eddie and Chris FINALLY have an open and honest conversation about Shannon? Eddie views her through a pair of rose colored glasses because he thinks it's his fault but there were two people in their relationship so he shouldn't shoulder all the blame especially when she left and was gone for almost 2 years without a call to her son. A conversation between just the two of them is needed because Chris is older now and he read the letter she wrote in 7x1. The audience didn't see him ask Eddie any questions about it and we didn't see how he's feeling now that he knows she may not have ever returned if she hadn't died.

Eddie and Chris have the largest biological family of all the mains (not including Bobby because other than his deceased wife and two children, the audience hasn't been introduced to them... like ever) but for some reason they moved Eddie’s abuela back to El Paso even though his aunt has that big house that she lives in by herself. Also, the audience never gets to see Eddie’s sisters and with all the attention that's going to be given to Tommy in the upcoming episodes, it's likely the audience might not get to see them this time either. Eddie has a deep and interesting background but the show barely touches the surface of it. Can Eddie please be given a worthy storyline all on his own? He deserves it!

Buck

So... is the audience supposed to just forget everything that happened to Buck in season 6? Apparently, so because based on OS's multiple interviews, Buck’s not dwelling on the broken relationship with his parents (they're still $hitty, their rushed and trifiling redemption arc sucked and it was undeserved. I don't trust them but Buck does so, whatever), there hasn't been any more mentions of Connor's and Kameron's baby (Full Disclosure: I still don't believe their baby is biologically his but it's probably been forgotten or retconned like everything else including Buck’s age), does he or does he not still want to be captain? He's not in therapy and he may or may not go back but he's moved on from his death, so I guess there's no trauma resulting from it. How does he feel about his job now because... HE DIED while he was doing it in 6x10 but the audience didn't see him process it even though every other character processed their own individual traumas.

Eddie used a baseball bat to destroy his bedroom in 5x13, Maddie walked into the ocean in 5x12, Hen went to therapy after 3x8, Bobby broke his sobriety in 1x4, Athena broke down in season 5 after she killed Jeffrey and Chimney took Jee-Yun with him to find Maddie in 5x4 and they were gone for 6 months. They all went to therapy at some point but it appears Buck’s immune to the trauma he's experienced so there's that.

7x4 airs tomorrow and I'm still not excited about it. After the way 6x18 ended, I hoped things would be different but maybe my expectations were too high. I don't think so because IMO, the upcoming episodes seem to be repetitive and basically a wash, rinse, repeat of the past. Maybe it will be different... but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Will the rest of season 7 be different for Buck and Eddie or is the focus still going to be solely on Buck? Who knows except the showrunner, writers, producers, actors and actresses since they are the only ones who know the answer to that question.

It's supposed to be a celebration.

It's supposed to be a celebration, but it sure as hell feels like the exact opposite of one.

Eddie glances across the living room to where Bobby and Athena are talking quietly with Maddie and Chimney, heads bent low together, clearly worried in the way they always are when it concerns Buck. Their youngest firefighter hasn't shown up to the Grant-Nash's annual winter party yet, even though he's usually the first one to arrive. None of them have heard from him since Thursday, when he left after his last shift of the week, and it's now Saturday.

But he'd said that he was coming.

"Heard anything?" Hen asks, but her tone suggests that she already knows the answer to that question. They all do; of course they haven't. Either Buck has disappeared, or he's driving and won't reply.

Eddie shakes his head regardless, lips pursed, and Hen offers a sympathetic smile. "You know how he is," she says, rolling her eyes and trying to change the mood. "He probably got caught up in researching something and lost track of time."

"Yeah," he says reluctantly. While Hen does have a point, it's still unlike Buck to forget about commitments he'd made, especially when they involve the rest of their firehouse and extended network of pseudo-family.

"You're still worried," Hen says. It's not a question, and she smiles when Eddie nods. "Yeah. Say what, how about we all give him another five minutes, and if he's not here by then, we'll call him. If he doesn't answer, then we'll send you over to his loft and you can check on him."

"Deal," he responds immediately, and Hen nods silently before walking straight into Chimney, Maddie, Bobby, and Athena's conversation, not waiting for Eddie to follow her before changing the topic, asking Bobby about the possibility of another probie at the firehouse, since Eddie was their most recent. Through the whole conversation, Eddie checks his phone approximately every thirteen seconds, waiting for the five-minute mark to pass before stepping away and pressing his phone to his hear. Nothing but voicemail.

Hen catches his eye at his puts the phone down. "He didn't pick up?"

"No. I'm going over to his loft," Eddie says, already shoving his phone into his pocket and shrugging back into his jacket. "I'll text you guys once I figure out what's going on."

"Drive safely!" Athena calls after him.

"Always!" he promises, then practically runs the rest of the way to his car once he's out of sight.

Buck doesn't answer the door, either, and Eddie resorts to using the spare key Buck had given him to get in. "Buck?" he calls into the space, glancing around the kitchen and living room, noting the absolute absence of. Well, of anything. The rooms are empty, with no sign Buck's eaten anything or even been downstairs lately. "Buck?"

"...Eds?"

"Hey, man," Eddie calls, toeing off his shoes before heading up the stairs to his bedroom. "Are you alright? We missed you over at Bobby and Athena's— holy shit."

Buck smiles weakly up at him, coughing into his fist a second later. "Yeah, it's been a rough couple of days."

"Why the hell didn't you say anything?" Eddie asks, glancing around the room. There's not a single mug of tea or bottle of medication. "Have you just been suffering for the past two days?"

"Kind of," Buck murmurs, then buries his face in the pile of blankets on his bed and sneezes. "HT'SCHH'uh! USSHHU!"

"Salud, dinero," Eddie says, walking over to him and brushing his hair out of his face. "No fever, that's good."

"It's not that bad, really," Buck says. "I'm not even congested. Just..."

"Completely miserable."

"Exactly. Right on the money."

"Again, why didn't you say anything?"

Buck shrugs. Even if he's not feverish, he's still pale and disheveled, and he looks sick in that coldish way, all exhausted and haggard with dull eyes. "I thought it was a twenty-four hour thing, didn't want to bother the rest of you if it wasn't a big deal." As if to completely contradict him, he ducks into his elbow again. "huh'TSCHHU!"

"Salud," Eddie says, raising an eyebrow at the previous comment. "Buck, you didn't show up to Bobby and Athena's party tonight, that counts as a big deal."

And with that statement, Buck completely freezes, his eyes going deer-in-the-headlights-wide. "That was tonight?" he squeaks, and Eddie would laugh if he didn't look so distressed.

"Hey, don't worry about it," Eddie reassures. "I'll just text them and let them know you're alive, then make sure you stay that way."

"You know, I've nearly died at least six times," Buck points out.

"Don't remind me," Eddie grumbles, pulling out his phone and opening the 118 + Athena group chat.

Eddie: I found Buck.

Chim: Excellent. We placed a bet on why he didn't show up.

Eddie: Why?

Chim: Why not?

Maddie: I think the better question is why isn't Buck here, Eddie?

Eddie: Your brother got himself sick and decided not to tell anyone.

Bobby: Again?!

Maddie: Not again.

Eddie: ...What do you mean, "again"?

Hen: He's done this multiple times before. Don't give Buck peppermint tea; he's allergic.

Chim: Y'all owe me five bucks.

Eddie: Thanks, Hen. Chim, not the time.

Athena: Sometimes, I wonder how half of you made it to college. Buck included.

Eddie rolls his eyes and tucks his phone back into his pocket. "So, you've done this before?"

"Maybe once or twice," Buck says, shrugging. Eddie gives him a skeptical look, and he instantly capitulates. "Okay, are we talking over my entire life or since I came to the 118?"

"I don't even think I want to know." Eddie sighs. "Think you're up to eating something?"

Buck wiggles his hand back and forth. "I could try."

"Good. Get up, change your clothes, and meet me downstairs."

"Sir, yes, sir," Buck says, rolling his eyes but pulling off his shirt as Eddie heads back down the stairs.

In the kitchen, the first thing Eddie does is search for tea. Surprisingly enough, Buck largely prefers tea over coffee, it's just that the latter is more abundant and easier to make than a cup of earl gray every morning, especially with their schedules. Still, Buck has a pretty large tea collection in the cabinet over his stove, although Eddie notes that there's no peppermint, just as Hen had warned.

He hears Buck before he sees him, the other man sneezing just as Eddie sets the kettle down on the electric stovetop and turns it on. "HT'SHUHH!"

"Salud," he says, pointing to one of the stools at the table. "Sit."

"Yeah, good idea," Buck says, and Eddie goes to search for soup. "You really don't have to do this, you know."

"You're not going to if I leave, though, are you?"

Buck's silence speaks volumes, and they sit there for a moment as Eddie triumphantly pulls out a can of chicken noodle soup. It should strike him as strange, how unfamiliar he is with Buck's kitchen when Buck knows where everything is at his house, but the younger firefighter is at his house a lot more often than Eddie's over at his loft. In fact, he could probably count the times he's been over here for leisure on one—

"hih'ISHH! ISCHH'uh!"

"Salud, dinero," Eddie says absently, still rooting around in Buck's cabinets for the bowls.

"SCHH'UH! H'SHHH!"

"Amor... I don't think we have a word if you get past three—"

"USHHUU!"

"Jesus," Eddie mumbles to himsel, finally turning around to see Buck rubbing miserably at his nose. "You okay?"

"Peachy," Buck grumbles, but softens as he says, "Thank you for coming over. I appreciate it."

"Of course," Eddie says. "That's what friends are for, isn't it?"

Buck laughs. "If you call opening every cabinet in my kitchen in a desperate search 'taking care of me', then sure. Bowls are the second cabinet to your left, by the way."

"Sometimes, I wonder why I even bother."

"Believe me, I do the same thing."

Eddie laughs. "By the way, the rest of them bet on why you didn't show up."

"Of course they did," Buck says. "Who won?"

"Chimney."

"Over Maddie?" Buck asks, disbelieving. "Over my own sister?"

"I think she thought you'd be better by now," Eddie says innocently, ignoring the indignant shout from behind him as he finally locates a bowl. That's what friends are for, he thinks. Gentle insults are just another part of the package.

911 6x18 "Pay it forward" thoughts

Well I'm going start by the negative parts.

Buck and Eddie as usual... You know what I don't I even need to comment on that. I'm disappointed, but I expected it would be that way. I stopped fooling myself believing Buddie would happen while KR is in charge, so thankfully it was wise of me to not get my expectations high over this and the couch theory.

Also I honestly didn't think we need a whole block for the baby birth, anyway, before I forget, Connor sucks. Bro literally was childish and managed to not be present in his kid's birth while the bio donor and a complete stranger had to deliver that baby. Kameron girl, I don't know you (and I don't want to know), but you can find a man better than this.

I can sense this is not over and we will see more of it in the next season and I'm not happy about it.

Now LET'S TALK ABOUT THE GOODS AIN'T WE?

Let's start by saying I do love the entirety of the bridge collapse sequence, and I was so tense (even knowing everyone would be fine) that I will need to rewatch again to catch majority of the callbacks and parallels. Heck it's probably my favorite emergency of the show.

You guys, already know my opinion on the "leading because everyone is incapacitated" tho, so I don't think I need to go further on that.

CAN WE TALK about how Hen (the brain of this team) got a concussion and Bobby (the spine cord of this team) got incapacitated??? Because I definitely thought this was interesting. I still have to think about the Eddie and Chimney ones (hence why I said i need to rewatch)

Loved the heart of a champion guy being an essencial part of how Bobby got rescued. Also I love Athena being the one to find him. Loved the little chat Athena and Maddie had in the hospital (the episode was going so fine until here).

Also I must say I'm interested in how they will proceed in S7, specially considering they did set up some possible storylines here too (most likely fault of thinking the series was ending so they let an open ended line). We have a new Henren adoption arc possibly?. Madney's marriage and maybe, maybe ABC will open S7 with a cruise disaster (PLS let them enjoy a bit to say the least)

General thoughts on the season.

Not the greatest season specially considering they did run that expecting it to be the last season.

Buck's character was a mess, Eddie was underused, and the other characters all had individual storylines that even if delivering in momentum felt without conclusion, because they have no consequence.

Athena solved a case that bothered her for years and we never heard about it again. Karen's almost death was only to show the relationship start. Buck was the only one allowed to have a consequencial reflection in his traumas, but then they turned into a romantic storyline. The Wendel death for Bobby was out of nowhere but at least had some comments outside the episode, what is a miracle, considering the direction, but it still could have been more. Chimney and Maddie's, the one people complained it was dragged was literally the only one which it had the best conclusion and it worked their traumas and growth better.

This season had mometanium ups that had no consequence, followed by downs that impact more due it's repetition. The only thing I definitely can't complain was the firefam dynamic playing in this season, it was perfect.

Hope ABC give 911 an opportunity to step it's game. Because both the fans, cast and crew deserve it.
