#i do NOT get paid enough to manage the newbie
Note
i love my coffee strong enough to kill a horse. it gets my heart going almost as much as the cutie who can make it 😘 (lmao jk...unless?? i'm not trying to be creepy i swear i'm just platonically in love). I used to get a cup of espresso and separately a cup of foamy milk with a shitload of syrups, so basically build your own latte
Also! That coffee shop AU - Valid. No notes. Let me present to you, as a reformed line cook, Kitchen AU:
Simon is the line cook. There is no question about it. No nonsence, gets shit done, can do basically everything that kitchen needs, good under pressure. Will murder you if you're being a daft cunt. What constitutes as 'being a daft cunt'? Changes drastically depending on amount of tickets. Fucking with his staff is a sure fire way tho. Just try to harass the waitress, pal, he will come out of the kitchen with a knife. The common one, not his personal, of course, that shit's expensive and almost a family member at this point. Surpisingly haven't been in jail. Yet. Doesn't drink energy drinks, weirdo.
Johnny? Dishie. Not nessessarily because he lacks qualifications, but (almost) every good cook starts as a dishie or prep. Batshit fucking insane, works shirtless with waterproof apron. Beloved by everyone, if kitchen fucked up and made an extra of something, it will most likely go to either the waitress that the cook got hots for, or him. On probation, will brag about it. Eats and smokes in one go, doesn't care that his food tastes like ash. Chugs that redbull like he's paid for it, is partially correct. Has been seen to just devour a loaf of bread, when questioned, called it his lunch.
Pretty boy Kyle? Hot kitchen, suprisingly. Man's damn good at his job and still got the stamina and passion for it. Hands are covered in burn and cut scar, some still fresh. Doesn't talk much, except with the waitresses, flirts shamelessly. The only person who can teach a newbie on which end one holds a knife, because chill vibes personified and probably won't scream at them lmao. If he had troubles with the law, it's probably MJ. Makes fucking unholy concoction with coffee from the bar and energy drink. Experiments with food at home constantly, loves eating bougie shit, but doesn't have a lot of time for it.
John Price? Not chef (idk how it's called in English, the main guy on the kitchen who does menues and shit), surprisingly, although almost there. Sous chef, most likely, because he has less paperwork and can be on the grounds and manage stuff more effectively. Takes desserts, at first just to fill in because they couldn't find a dessert cook, got used to it after a while, is predictably damn good. A literal God of machinery, shit seems to be afraid to break under his watch. Had problems with the law, but it's all in the past, nowadays he just 'knows a guy'. Doesn't fuck with energy drinks because he was chugging that shit when he was young and now got lowkey heart problems because of it. At home eats as simple as possible, sandwiches are his go-to, because his fuck rations about food are depleted at this point and he saves the reserves for work. Fucked up his taste buds with smoking habit, orders everyone to taste his dish if nessessary.
-🗞️
I'VE SEEN PEOPLE WRITE RESTAURANT AU HCs IN THE PAST (AND EVEN SOME LOVELY FANART BY @sleepyconfusedpotato look at it!!!!)
HOWEVER
I love your HC. I can just IMAGINE the vibes in that kitchen
And Soap shirtless, always covered in water???? MY GOD
ahhhhhhhhh

Park Jihyo - Pizza Boy
Y/n parked his work bike near the entrance, just right on the parking space, and quickly get's inside because of the cold that South Korea has been getting for the past few days. He removes his helmet and starts to talk to his co-worker.
"Did we get the overtime salary for today?" Y/n shoots up a question. "I don't think we're gonna get one for today, not many orders are coming by" his co-worker or to be exact, the cashier explains.
*ding ding ding* a bell sounds can be heard through the docking station where the cashier is placed. The cashier immediately responds to that call, writing down all the requests that the person has ordered, after that he hangs up.
"Y/n, be ready to send this one okay, after that you can go home. No need to overtime for today" The cashier said while entering the prices for the bills. "Glad to hear that," Y/n said with joy.
I grab the paper containing the address and getting ready to get going, but when i was about to push the door. "One lucky son of a bitch" suddenly the cashier yelled. He was confused as fuck with him yelling that.
'Making my way downtown, walking fast, faces pass and I'm-' Y/n stops his singing and scans the area, he knew this place already, he used to deliver to Twice's dorm back when they haven't moved out to a new dorm. He checks the address again.
'Hold up, wait a minute' he squints his eyes as he read the address, double-checks it. It was the old Twice dorm, they must be rented that place already. He locks his bike near a light pole and pulling out the pizza from his backpack and ready to knock his "Used to be" the dorm of his fantasies.
*knock knock* "Pizza Delivery," he said as he waits in front of the door.
Jihyo was taking a shower while singing their new song Heart Shaker, her beautiful voice was loud enough to hear outside of their dorm room.
Y/n can hear that over and over again, but the pizza might get cold, so he pressed the doorbell maybe twice until he got an answer. "Wait a minute please," Jihyo said. 'Dang her voice is so loud' Y/n thought.
He could hear wet footsteps coming closer to the door and it finally opened and instantly Y/n eyes almost came out of his socket, Jihyo was standing there with all of her glory with her wet hair cascading down to her shoulder and her curvy and beautiful body was covered up by a towel and only her cleavage was visible.
"Ehem" Jihyo faked coughed gaining his attention and she could tell he was checking her out, truth be told she didn't mind, why? Because she may have a little crush on him since the first time he delivered here.
He found him attractive and funny, "Oh.....uh sorry here's your pizza and drinks, thank you for ordering with us," he said stuttering and blushing so he quickly hurried to try to get out of that situation as soon as possible. "Hey pizza boy, i haven't paid yet" Jihyo giggled. "Come here, you can wait inside. I'ts cold outside" she said, he turned around and mentally prepared himself. When he was about to go in, Jihyo purposely sway her hips back and forth making the growing tent in his pants worse, he mentally cursed himself for having a boner, and face palmed.
He scanned the whole room, getting all the flashbacks from TWICETV 1 back when they were all still newbies in the entertainment business. Everything still looked the same, He guesses that they never came back here again.
But then a loud scream came out of her room, he quickly checks on what's happening to jihyo, he first went into the wrong room but then found it.
"What's wrong jih....." He was speechless on what he saw, Jihyo laying there naked with her legs spread wide showing her cleanly shaven pussy.
"Jih....Jihyo ssi, what are you doing" He asks, gulping and avoiding eye contact. She slowly walked over to him her breast is fully out and making him even hornier but he has to fight it or he's going to lose his job if the manager found out.
"Awe come on I know you like what you saw," She said as she comes closer pinning him against her wardrobe door "And it seems like your little fella down there like it too," she said, all he could do is look elsewhere, but eventually looked into her lust-filled eyes.
She cupped his cock with her hands and kissed him passionately, he finally gave in and grabbed her by the waist and fiddling with her nipples making her moan to his mouth, he broke the kiss and trail them down onto her neck, and to her left boob.
Sucking on them and twirling in her nipples, she was in bliss, she pulled his head back and continued to kiss him madly.
She went down on her knees and eagerly unbuckled his belt and pulling down his uniform short along with his boxers making his 9-inch cock to come loose, she was shocked at first and was worried she couldn't fit it inside her.
"Don't be scared, I know you want it," He said cockily to Jihyo. "Oh please, i want to," she said and slowly started to stroke him. "Ugh..... yes jihyo...... just like that" He groaned, she slowly started to fasten the pace, but then she got an idea.
She stopped and put his dick in between the valley of her breast and squeezed them together, his dick fits perfectly there and the tip of his cock hits her lips.
Y/n decides to thrust into her breast giving her some help. "Oh fuck jihyo that feels great," He said fastening the pace. "You like that huh, you like how your dick feels between my tits," She asked seductively and he nodded.
"Ugh.... i think I'm close," He said, then she lets go and started to suck his rod "Oh..... God your mouth feels great" He said, Jihyo then slowly started to suck his cock.
He was in bliss right now, seeing his bias fully naked and sucking on his cock right now felt so surreal.
"Jihh......." He came out and filled her mouth with so much that some came out of it, she stroke it making some of it came out and hit her hair boobs and body.
"As much as i wanna continue my members are coming to get their stuff," She said while licking the excess cum that was still dripping. "Here give me your phone," She asked and he picked up the phone that was on the ground.
She opens the camera app and took a selfie of her current state "Don't share this to anyone else or you're gonna lose your job," She said smirking. "Now hurry, they'll arrive any minute now," She said and he put on his pants and went back outside. "Oh hey Y/n" She called and he looked back. "Here's the money," She said and handed him the money. "Ill see you later" She smirked and kissed his cheek as a goodbye.

Hey Brittany !
I noticed you’re a fan of webcomics as I came across your page seeing that you re-blogged a webcomic related post.
I’m Melissa, and I’ve recently embarked on an exciting zombie based webcomic project!
It would mean the world to me if you could check out my recent post about my GoFundMe campaign and consider liking or re-blogging it!
Your support could truly make a difference in bringing my vision to life and sharing it with a wider audience.
Thank you so much for your time and consideration! 🌼
Melissa
I was unsure what to do about this, but in the end I'll answer in the off-chance you are actually a rude newbie artist here and not a scammer And also to explain to my followers why they shouldn't send you and people like you any money
First. That's not how webcomics work. You don't ask people to send you money before you actually make the comic. You first post it online, for free. You can also set up a patreon for people to support you financially in exchange of early access to your comic, and once you've published enough pages to make a book you may do a kickstarter to print it and sell the physical books But in the end the concept of webcomics is that they are passion projects, of various quality, free to read online. Some people manage to live off this, but you should never start a webcomic with the objective to live off them
If you want to get paid before making your comic, you'll have to pitch your project to a publisher But you don't ask people to send you money for a comic they know nothing about, no plot summary, no visuals safe for two screenshots on your blog's only post, no presentation of who the protagonists are, nothing "An exciting webcomic project" you say, but you say nothing about why it's exciting and why we should be interested in it, and more importantly why we should trust you
Tumblr has had its fair share of scams where people promised to make an animated series, a web series or whatever and the people ran away with the money. Right now your project looks exactly like one of those scams. No one with a smidge of common sense will pay you anything
Secondly, that's incredibly rude behaviour here I don't know you. You barely followed me before sending me this message, you didn't like or reblogged anything, you just went straight to promoting your stuff in my inbox. And the "I'm new to tumblr I don't know how it works" card doesn't work here because that would be rude on any social media Don't do that Promote your stuff like every other artists do, by actually posting art and talking about your project on your blog, and by using the relevant hashtags so people who are following them can find your work. This way you'll catch the attention of people who are actually interested in your project Because I don't like zombies stories anyway. Sorry, bad shot there
And thirdly, and this time it's more personal: MY NAME ISN'T FUCKING BRITTANY. THAT'S THE NAME OF WHERE I LIVE
If you're going to promote yourself into a stranger's inbox, maybe don't be even more rude than you're already being by calling them a completely wrong name??

Good Luck Charm//Chapter One
Tumblr media
Pairing: Sidney Crosby/OFC (no name)
Rating: Teen & up
Words: 1.3k
Chapters: 1/10
CHAPTER ONE
It was just a summer job. I liked hockey a lot, and happened to know the right friend of a friend of a friend. Internship here we come. My first day in the front office I was given a little desk in the corner away from the windows. It sat facing a large bulletin board that had a singular photo of an emperor penguin tacked up. The penguin looked at me. I looked back at it.
“Well, make yourself at home!” Said Stacy, the office manager, plopping a massive pile of paperwork onto the otherwise empty desk. “Once you’re settled these need to be scanned, filed, and added to the spreadsheet. Have you got your company login yet?” I nodded dumbly, overwhelmed by the amount of work in front of me. “Great! If you need me my office door is always open, except when it’s not. Lunch break is noon to one, bathrooms are your second door to the left in the hall.” Stacy knocked her closed fist on my desk three times and strode away. “Don’t be a stranger!” She called over her shoulder. Several people looked up from their desks to stare at me. I waved. Everyone went back to their work. Great. I turned back to my desk and got to work setting up my computer, and organizing the stacks of paper by category.
Working for the Penguins this summer wasn’t my original plan. I landed an internship in New York back in June with Nine West, but then my grandpa got sick. I gave it up to stay in Pittsburgh with my grandmother. The upside of this was that I would be able to finish out my senior year of undergrad in person. The downside was that my dream of interning for a fashion brand in New York, or anywhere else, was crushed. All of the deadlines had passed by the time I had to make my decision.
I didn’t have a backup plan at all until my academic advisor called me saying she had talked to a friend of a friend and managed to get me an interview at the Penguins front office for an internship. “I know it’s not in your field.” Amy said, “But it’s paid and you’ll still get professional experience.” I agreed readily as I was already concerned I would have to take an extra semester to finish my degree requirements after losing my Nine West internship. “They’re good people there.” Amy added, “They pay well too. I know you’ll like it.”
I laughed. “What kind of hockey franchise wants to hire a fashion design undergrad as a front office intern? I’ll be lucky if the interview lasts longer than two minutes.”
Amy laughed too. “Well,” She said, “I have a good feeling about this one. Hockey players can be very finicky about their clothes too. Just promise me that you’ll give it your best shot.”
I promised I would.
By lunch I had made some decent progress on the stack of paperwork on my desk. Maybe a third of the way through. I was so in my zone that I barely noticed everyone getting up to stretch and make their way out of the office. I was only shaken from my reverie by a sharp poke to the shoulder. A red haired man in a full suit was standing over me. He wasn’t smiling. I started to get a sinking feeling in my chest. Two women were hovering awkwardly behind him. They smiled at me. I felt a little better.
“Hey,” said the man, “come with us, newbie.”
I went with them.
The man’s name was Jonny, and the two women introduced themselves to me as Alicia and Maddie as we walked towards the break room. They all seemed friendly enough despite our initial interaction a couple minutes ago. We all sat around a table together making small talk. I felt like they were looking at me a little too intensely as I picked at my sandwich. Nobody else in the break room was looking at us, but it was pretty clear they were listening in. I decided to break the tension. “So like, what’s the deal with this place?”
“What do you mean?” Maddie asked.
“It just seems like everyone is pretty intense.” I shrugged.
Maddie and Alicia looked at each other. I was worried I’d said something wrong but then all three of them broke out laughing.
“Oh good.” Jonny said, patting my arm. “You’re not a pushover. We were just giving you a hard time. Don’t worry, it’s just been a while since we had an intern. Nobody was really expecting you.”
“Oh.” I mumbled. “I guess that makes sense.”
“Well don’t worry now, silly!” Alicia grinned at me. She had very nice teeth. “We have a good feeling about you now.”
A little freaked out, but reassured I smiled back. This place was already so weird. “So tell us everything.” Jonny said. “Why’d you end up with us? Super into hockey?”
I explained my story about what happened and how I managed to land an interview here. It seemed risky to admit that I wasn’t a die hard hockey fan, but it also felt like I had already passed the major test of character. They all nodded in understanding. “That sucks.” Maddie said with a frown. Jonny and Alicia nodded in commiseration. I shrugged again and took a big bite of my sandwich. Eager to change the subject I asked, “So… anything I should know about this place in particular?”
“Ohhh yes.” Said Jonny. I immediately felt better.
Over the course of the next hour I learned all about the latest office gossip, who was dating who, what the preferred brand of staples was, and what players came to visit the most. Apparently the rookies came in occasionally to ask a question, but other than that they didn’t see much of the team. By the time lunch hour came to an end I felt properly initiated. Especially when I looked around after getting settled at my desk and several people smiled at me. It was great. Jonny even waved.
It was already six by the time I finished up the paperwork. Stacy came over around five to tell me I didn’t have to stay late but I waved her offer aside insisting it was fine. I wanted to make a good impression. Most people had left as I was packing up my backpack, but Maddie was still there, engrossed in whatever she was looking at on her laptop. I decided to leave her be.
This turned out to be a huge mistake as I immediately got lost on my way out. I was so sure that I was meant to take the first staircase on the left, but somehow I ended up in the bowels of the arena. Speedwalking through enormous concrete corridors, I gripped the straps of my backpack tightly and tried to calm myself. There are only so many places to go. If I can just find another stairwell I can probably just go right up and out. I started walking a little faster, and right as I turned the corner I collided with a brick wall and fell backwards. Flat on my back, backpack awkwardly crushed underneath me, I looked up. The brick wall was Sidney Crosby.
He was already reaching down towards me, but I scrambled backwards. “Fuck.” I said. “Are you okay?” He said, eyes wide. Fuck, I was going to be in so much trouble. Could they fire me for almost knocking over their star player? “Fuck.” I said again pulling myself upright.
“Hey. Seriously, are you alright? What’s your name?” Sidney was looking at me curiously, one arm still outstretched towards me like I might fall again. Behind him, glinting in the light, I found my saving grace. A sign that said STAIRS with a little arrow pointing to a door below it.
I looked at Sidney. He was obviously waiting for an answer. “Yup. Gotta go. Sorry.” I blurted out dumbly, sidestepping him. I made a break for the exit, but Sidney didn’t call after me, or even worse, follow.
The stairs turned out to be a good idea. I made it the first level again, and through sheer luck made it out the doors into the chilly October air.

Take A Seat: sun x moon x monty (CH 2)
established relationship version of the last chapter + fennell coming back from their break
some context:
the gator ride stops ahead of the control box and doesn’t go in reverse
Fennell stopped the ride a little too late so they’re a few feet away from the animatronics, can’t see monty who is already in the ride, and can only kinda hear them talking
the beginning's the same, alternate version starts at 'smaller than the other Glams'
story under the read more
Take A Seat (also on ao3)
Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3
“Ah,” Fennell said, their 3rd day on the job and there was already a problem.
They felt like maybe management should have accounted for the animatronics’ larger frames but oh well. Guess it was Fennell’s problem now.
As a staff member they were tasked to oversee testing for the weight limit on Monty’s gator ride near the catwalks. Monty and another animatronic, whom they later found to be the Naptime Daycare Attendant, would sit in one of the cars and record any changes or abnormalities.
At least that’s what was supposed to happen, they sighed, dragging a hand across their face.
What actually happened was them pausing the rides so a car would stop in front of the accessible catwalk, Monty stepping in the alligator shaped ride... and then there not being enough space for Moon to get in.
Fennell was glad the DA was the other animatronic, at least he was smaller than the other Glams. They made their way back to the control box. Maybe if they all worked together they could figure out a way for Moon to squeeze in-
Before Fennell could finish their thought they saw a clawed hand reach towards Moon.
“There’s not enough space, Monty.” They heard Moon deadpan.
“Naaaah, there’s plenny’ a space right ‘ere,” Monty said. The ride swayed, probably from Monty shuffling around to make said space. Fennell heard the faint sound of Monty pat something twice in the ride.
Huh, they didn’t think the two would be such close friends.
Well whatever, as long as both animatronics could fit and not break the ride it didn’t matter.
Fennell watched Moon’s face plate rotate once, twice, before they (somehow??) rolled their eyes and took the gator’s hand, jumping into the car. A bit more shuffling rocked the ride while the animatronics got settled in and Fennell pulled the lever again.
“Now would be the perfect time for my 1 hour break,” Fennell said to themself, already making their way to the elevator.
1 LUNCH BREAK LATER
Fennell wasn’t sure what they were looking at.
Scratch that, they knew exactly what they were looking at, they just couldn’t believe it.
The newbie had come back from their break to get Moon and Monty’s reports only to find them in the ride with Monty on his back and Moon lying on top of him. The gator’s hands on Moon’s hips and a few scratches on the DA’s back that Fennell was 99% sure weren’t there before.
They hoped the other side of the DA wouldn’t be too upset to have to visit Parts and Services later.
...
Wait, was Sun with them too? Fuck it, they weren’t paid enough to think about animatronic love lives.
Fennell coughed and the animatronics jolted, Moon grabbing the top of the gator ride’s mouth and swinging himself onto the catwalk. Monty followed less gracefully, almost tripping when he stepped out.
“The report?”
“Huh?”
“Were there any problems with the amount of weight the car could handle?”
“No, no problems.” This time Moon answered. They didn’t look at Fennell though, too focused on fiddling with their bell and swaying. That was fine, they’d feel awkward too if their junior caught them making out with a coworker during a routine check.
“Gwahaha, yeah!” Monty laughed, patting Fennell on the back a little too hard and making them stumble. “We even shook the ride a few times to make sure it would hold up just in case!”
Fennell tried not to think too hard on how they achieved that. Moon sputtered and elbowed the bassist. “Ow! What’d I do?”
They noticed Moon’s face plate was a little dented in some places.
Moon sighed and grabbed his hand, pulling the other animatronic to the elevator. “We’ll send a digitized report to your Fazwatch,” he called back.
Fennell questioned their life choices and briefly thought about quitting.

Note
Listen, this is a fuck management, however there is a certain level of exhaustion to coworkers:
I've worked for this company 5+ years. I have a lot of experience and know what I'm doing, mostly. Our management doesn't train people well, mostly give them a shift or 2 in one area then just let newbies flounder (and also we don't get extra pay for training others, which we got at my old second job, which makes forcing people to have the patience or ability to teach people fundamentally laughable here). So I get why people come to me when they are confused or have a question. However, I am a part time associate who barely makes 20 hours a week (I don't want to be full time for mental and physical health reasons, this is more a "please go talk to a coordinator or manager about this. I am literally not paid enough or trained to do this")
Like, I don't mind telling you where certain stuff goes. However, if someone comes up to me, with a customer, and asks where something is and I tell you where to look, and you stare at me like a deer in headlights, instead of going and checking there? Thats a managers fault. I'm not doing everything for you, and I feel bad that you don't know, but I can't fucking do it.
Another one that pisses me off is that they never train anyone to use the phones, yet still expect them to competenly and quickly use them. Do you know how many people have been here a month or more that have to ask me how to use the phone? I started basically gather up as many new people in my department as possible, and teach them how to pick up a hold line, put someone on hold, call an internal number, and how to page. It's fucking frustrating, especially because I'm not a patient person, and I don't like being in charge of anyone.
If management could fucking train people better, keep us better staffed, and all that fuckin jazz, maybe people would not be frustratingly bad at their job. (They could definitely staff better. corporate is just a bunch of motherfuckers)

What Do You Need to Get Your Book Published?
If you want to be an established writer, then you definitely need to get your book out. The words are complete and you have a manuscript that you’re really excited about.
You know that your book has got potential, but what now? What do you need to get from a manuscript to a finished book that your intended buyers can read?
Here are the people that you need to hire if you want to turn your manuscript into an actual product.
Proofreaders
Even if you use Grammarly and have impeccable language skills, there will be some mistakes that you are going to make. You may also have some facts wrong, which can definitely hurt your product.
Many authors hire editors or proofreaders in order to provide comments and edit their work. These requested alterations can be about grammar, spelling, tone, or any other factor that can make your work much better to read and comprehend.
Aside from aesthetics, authors can also hire proofreaders to check on any facts that you have written about a specific topic. More often than not, these proofreaders are specialists in their own field such as mathematics, science, history, mechanical engineering, and others.
These people will help verify and correct you so that you can get your facts right, especially if accuracy is one of your main goals.
Illustrators
Book illustrators for hire add a little more design to your book. If you need drawings or a better layout for your book, then illustrators are the people to get.
Nobody wants to read a wall of text page after page after page. This holds true for children’s books as that is a sure way to not keep their attention. Children’s book illustrators for hire UK can definitely help you out with that.
Publishers
Publishers are who will turn your book into something tangible. They will print your book and bind it. In most cases, they will also have professional book cover designers so that they can come up with a look that is eye-catching for potential buyers when they see your book on the shelves.
Of course, you can do the self-publishing route. There are numerous book self publishing UK companies that you can find, especially online. Also, you can just publish your book as an ebook as it is definitely all the rage these days.
Marketing
You would also need to hire marketing people that can help advertise your book. Social media managers can help get the word out about your book. They can also purchase ads online so that you would be able to reach your target market.
Marketing people can be paid a fixed rate or by commission, or a combination of the two. The amount that you want to spend on marketing should be proportional to the revenue that you are going to get.
Alternatively, you can DIY it yourself as well as social media platforms can already provide you with all the tools necessary to market and self-promote. If you have the budget or if all this marketing stuff is all going over your head, then hiring marketers will be the best and most effective route.
Can I Hire Freelancers?
Yes! Freelancers are a cheap yet effective way to get things done. You can get proofreaders, illustrators, and marketers that can give you some very good results.
Just make sure that you are getting high-quality freelancers so that you would be able to get your money’s worth. Get those with enough experience in the industry and not just newbies that you will choose just to save a few bucks.
Some freelancers can even point you towards the right direction about apps and sites that can help you promote and self-publish. There are many sites where freelancers with varying rates can be found.
Get the right people and you will be well on your way to see your finished book in Amazon stores and bookshelves locally and even all over the world.
Get your website ranked by one of the leading SEO agencies in Delhi and receive a free PCC audit from PPC Consultants.

A rant of the last two months.
So I looked at a lot of my draft posts. The ones for the last month and a half were kinda Venting about the new corp I joined in Eve Online.
To be fair, I learned a mutual friend who has a habit of starting things then just...not taking control as a leader and lets things die as a result was starting it.
soooo yeah. That happened. Only one logging in now. ~_~
"It'll be great Kali! Getting back into Eve Kali! We should try doing FW and small gang pvp! Hey isn't it weird how you are the only cis guy in this corp?" yeah sure, except one problem. You dragged a bunch of newbies who never played before into it. As all Newbies tend to do, they are for some reason scared of pvp and losing ships. HELL ONE OF THEM THINKS THAT DOING PVP WAS THE SAME AS HARMING SOMEONE AND COULDN'T BEAR IT!
So we ended up turning into a Mining and Industry Corp. Except I was one of the few paid accounts. So I was the only one who could reliably skill into to building things. Okay I still can't get over the lack of wanting to PVP in the game built on it.
...a bit fucked up way of thinking but there was always mining and industry I guess? no. I spent, hundreds of millions on BPO's and started doing research material and time development which takes ages. We do a mining op, they manage to...somehow not know how to read? "Oh the sleepers are back!" Well I already took care of them in an Orca. Do it again!
No they are Drifters. Webbed, scrammed, disrupted. Trapped and couldn't warp off in an extremely large bulky slow ship. -_- 2.5billion down the drain. It was cool seeing the explosion though. Then slowly everyone started petering off one by one.
Our scared to pvp person went exploring in the pvp areas and was shocked that..they were attacked and managed to escape with their pod. They felt sick at the idea of shooting at a player. V: like...no seriously wtf? This is EVE. Everyone Vs. Everyone. Market pvp, Industry pvp, MINING PVP. Yes Mining pvp is a thing. Its called putting on the highest yield risk mining crystal and just sneaking into enemy territory asteroid field and just going to town destroying their asteroid resources so they can't build ships!
The Hauler did two contracts for us, and dipped. ...best fifty mil wasted?
Two of our number thought it was weird that the game didn't just automatically played itself? Like auto-target and then auto-fire? ...those modules exist but thats too much.
the lead and their girlfriend don't show up anymore so. Its just me in this corp? AFter spending so many skill points and isk in industry since "You are now the industry lead!"
Back on track learning how to pilot Triglavian ships and Edencom stuff since thats what I wanted to begin with.
Now I am in a dead corp with nobody logging in and my isk and LP is being taxed heavily to a corporation that no longer even functionally exists. Except as a blackmark in my job history in the game as "Why were you in this Corp. for only a few months after leaving your starter corp after nearly 14 years?"
BEcauseI got tired of helping people out in the newbie corp and wanted to hang out with friends! ....who immediate flaked out and left. And my other MMO friends won't touch EVe with a ten foot pole. "We don't understand it." -_-; Game is so much easier now than it was back then.
I wish....I wish I could just clone myself and have mini-me's running around non-stop. ....actually thats a bad idea. I don't understand Reactions in industry too well and I've only just started doing PLanetary industry setup after years of having the skills trained.
MAybe it would just be nice if people logged the fuck in and we could hang out. "My new job doesn't fit in with the weekly group up so I won't log in at all" >:V oh fuck off.
Screw this, I'm going into Wormhole space and find a Wormhole crew living in that insane spaghetti mess of systems and run C3's to earn enough isk in a couple days to buy a month of game time in game.
Or Join Faction Warfare and do the same but also have constant pvp.
Viva la Caldari / Guristas
Or constantly run Abyssal dungeons solo.
I am tired. At least there are a lot of new players coming into the game now? Its refreshing.

This week's more or less our trial by fire. I'm posting tons of shit on Tumblr, sure, but I'm also juggling tickets, solving issues related to newbies learning Mint's ropes while making calls. The short of it is that I've been super busy. Walt's noticed.
I head into the kitchen to get myself a coffee refill and feel a hand on my shoulder. I turn and immediately find my face squished against the big guy's necktie knot.
"Stop," he quietly demands. "For just a second - stop. Give yourself some time."
Sighing, I put my coffee cup on the counter and give him some of my weight. He sighs as well and strokes my back for a while. I feel him slowly and softly etch a smirk, and he manages the quietest scoff in existence.
"Daddy thinks you should take a few days off."
I scoff back. "Can Daddy spend another week doing nothing except catching up on lost sleep?"
He doesn't answer. He doesn't need to. He would, but he can't. He's the boss now - the CEO. He can't just fuck it all to Hell without a laid-out contingency plan.
"This is enough," I tell him, smiling. "This, and our being together on evenings."
He kisses me, slowly. "I love you, Grem."
I grin and feign turning away right after his liplock. "Oh, I love myself too."
That earns me a sock on the shoulder and a grin that's half-rueful, half-playful. "Go end this before I decide you'd better be paid au naturel for this week's paycheck..."

7 Tips for Efficient Self-Learning: How to Find Time and Motivation
Learning is a continuous process and you will always need to keep up with the latest trends. It’s not always easy to find time for learning and sometimes you don’t even have enough motivation, but there are several ways that might help you make your self-learning more effective. Idealnewsbd24 is a daily education blogger website. For more article-related information visit the website or check “Self-Learning”.However, let’s jump into our main topic. Here are some tips for efficient self-learning:
Set up a routine
The first step to self-learning is creating a routine of studying. A routine is a set of actions that you repeat regularly and can be written down in a planner, an app on your phone or computer, or even in a notebook.
If you want to make sure you actually follow through with this habit, consider using some sort of timer to hold yourself accountable for sticking to the time limits you set for yourself (which will vary from person to person).
Make a to-do list
Make a to-do list and prioritize your tasks
Write down what you want to accomplish and the order in which you will do them. This is helpful when there are multiple tasks that need to be done at once, or if one task takes longer than expected. This way, you can see which task needs more attention or if there are any items on your list that can be combined for efficiency.
Try the Pomodoro technique
The Pomodoro technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s based on the idea that frequent breaks can improve mental agility and productivity levels. It involves working with focused attention for 25 minutes followed by a five-minute break before beginning again for another 25 minutes, repeating until reaching four hours of work (or whatever time goal has been set).
Study the toughest task first
The third tip for efficient self-learning is to study the toughest task first. This will help you get it out of the way and prevent procrastination. Once a task is complete, you can focus on other tasks that are easier or more fun to do.
Find someone who can inspire you and learn together with him/her
Find someone who can inspire you and learn together with him/her
If you are a beginner, it is important to find someone who has already achieved what you want to achieve in your learning process. A mentor could be an ideal choice if they have similar skills as yours and a passion for teaching newbies like yourself. It is vital that the mentor knows how to help others learn efficiently as well as enjoy teaching.
Delegate your daily tasks
Delegate tasks that you have time for, but don't want to do. For instance, I've delegated the task of updating my LinkedIn profile to one of my sisters because she loves doing those kinds of things.
Delegate tasks that someone else is better at than you are. For example, I had a friend who was really good at writing so I asked him if he would mind writing down his thoughts on a topic and sending them back to me so that I could add them to my article (this happens frequently).
Delegate tasks based on location or type of work (e.g., social media management). There are many tools out there now where you can pay someone to complete specific jobs from anywhere in the world.
Delegate tasks when it comes time for meetings/presentations/conference calls—anything where people will be talking about your business or startup idea!
Certify your knowledge and skills
Obtaining certifications is a great way to show your knowledge and skills, which can be a good way to get a new job or even learn more about a topic. Many people don't know that you can get paid for certifying in many fields from programming to project management.
Certifications are also a really good way to make money! You may have noticed that there are some expensive training courses out there, but it's possible to become certified without having paid thousands of dollars out of pocket.
Motivate yourself
Motivation is a key factor in learning as it keeps you going when the going gets tough. It's important to find ways of motivating yourself, as there are many things that can stop you from being productive at home or in the office.
For example, if you work full-time and have other commitments, finding time for self-development can be difficult. In this situation, it's worth considering what your priorities are and how much time you can realistically commit each week. Then set goals based on these factors rather than ambitious targets that are too hard to achieve or will take longer than necessary. You should also make sure your goals are SMART: specific, measurable, actionable (you know exactly what needs doing), relevant (they're linked back to why they're important), and time-bound (you know when they'll be finished).
Set up a routine, make a to-do list, and find someone to motivate you
Setting up a routine, making a to-do list, and finding someone to motivate you are essential in order to create the time and motivation you need for self-learning.
Set up a routine. Schedule learning sessions as if they were meetings with your colleagues or boss. You will be more likely to do it if you give it some importance in your calendar and make sure that it is not interrupted by any other activity, especially social media distractions like Facebook or Twitter.
Make a to-do list: Break down what needs to be done into small steps so as not to overwhelm yourself with too much work at once, but also so that each step can be completed successfully before moving on to the next one! It's important that this list allows space for reflection because otherwise, we won't really know whether we have achieved our goal or not (and this may lead us to procrastination). For example "Learn how algorithms work by doing research" might be written down in bullet points but then questions like "What should I read?" could follow - which would allow me some time off from writing down these steps again! However, after finishing reading everything relevant to algorithms I might reflect back on how I feel now versus three weeks ago when I started doing this project.
Conclusion
That’s it! We hope that our tips will help you make the most of your learning time and stay motivated. The main thing is to keep trying new things; there are so many ways to learn, and you should explore them all. For example, if you don’t have time for a full course right now but still want to learn something new on your own time—try reading some books or articles instead of watching videos on YouTube (or vice versa).

When Everything Was Possible
(for Writer's Month day 24 prompts bow and fantasy AU. In "real life"-- their normal, non-fantasy universe, the Eagle Has Wings series which I created in high school-- Josie and Peter are astronauts, and this is the scene where they discuss rumors of a new exploratory spaceflight program.)
“You’re one of the new pledges, aren’t you?”
Josie gasped and nearly dropped the grapes she’d picked out. Spinning quickly, she dropped into the bow that, as a new pledge, she was supposed to give one of the masters.
Peter laughed and waved it off. “No need to be so formal when we’re not in the guildhall. I’d say even then, but–” He gave a light toss of his head and a smile.
Josie tried to give a lighthearted smile back. Her mouth was dry. Peter, one of the most famous of the masters. Honestly, one of her reasons for wanting to be a spellcaster. Not reasons. Inspirations.
One of the last to be part of a quest, before the queen died and there was a pause in quests while the new king came to power.
“Do you know what you’d like to do?” Peter asked.
Josie gave him a smile that she hoped was confident but not annoyingly so. “I’d like to go on quests, although…” She shrugged. “Wouldn’t everybody?”
Truth was, she couldn’t imagine herself not being selected for a quest. True, almost everyone wanted to be, but almost everyone she’d grown up wanted to be a spellcaster at one point, and here she was, having passed the interviews and the entrance exams and the secret tests and the final exams. At this point she couldn’t imagine not getting everything she wanted.
He nodded slowly. “Have you heard the king is getting ready to start questing again?”
“I may have heard that, yes.”
“Lucky time to be newly pledged. They do like to get the newbies out there.”
“Are you still interested in questing?” she asked. She was pretty sure that was a natural question to ask next.
Peter grinned. “I’ll be questing as long as they let me.”
“Maybe we’ll be on one together someday.”
“Maybe so,” he said easily.
Josie managed not to look as ridiculously giddy as she felt. As Peter turned to go, she gave him the bow again, even though she knew he would wave it off again. He deserved it.
She was still holding the grapes. Hurriedly, she paid for them. Then, needing to tell someone but not wanting to look like a starry-eyed student to any of the other new pledges, or worse, any of the students, she ran to Blake’s bakery stall.
He had an apple muffin ready for her. “What happened? I saw you talking to someone. Are you in trouble already?”
She put a hand on her hip and gave him an unimpressed look. “I’m not in trouble,” she said, flicking her eyes up in a bit of an eyeroll. Then, her voice carefully casual, “I was just talking to Peter.”
“Peter? That Peter?”
She’d definitely talked about him enough. She nodded.
“What were you talking to him about?”
“That the king may be starting questing soon. And when he does we could be on a quest together.”
“He said that?”
“Pretty much.”
“Pretty much?” Blake repeated dubiously.
“I asked if he was still interested in questing and he said yes, and he agreed we might be on a quest together someday. If we’re both interested in questing it’s a possibility. Why are you acting like it’s not?”
Blake gave her a knowing look. “I just know better than to believe you offhand, because you are known to exaggerate.”
Josie looked at him innocently, but when he didn’t relent, she admitted, “Sometimes. But not today,” she added as he turned to greet a customer. She lifted the muffin as if toasting him and then sank her teeth into it, chewed and swallowed, and told the customer, “Get some apple muffins. They’re the best I’ve ever tasted.” Another smile for Blake, and she started back to the guildhall at a leisurely stroll, eating her snack slowly so it lasted all the way.

Tips and Helps For Pming
Hello guys! I'm Mahiro and I'm going to help y'all with the pming stuff as a newbie partner manager! Make sure to read and like thank you!
First I'd like to let you know what is pming?
Pming is about partnering the server you work for with other servers! And eventually helps the server to be known and grow.
1. How do we get hired?
The fastest way to get hired is to join hubs and post an ad. The server I mostly post ad to is discord.gg/pm (nyx) they're very big and active will help you alot.
2. What is the correct way of posting an ad?
I usually design my ads to catch people's attention but tbh it's not the best way to get hired.
Example:
Hire Mahiro as a (free/paid) pm!
5-10+ partners (weekly/monthly)
Only working for sfw nontox servers!
Please have pm chat and luminous Nova bot!
Dm me if interested!
You have to specify how much partners you can give for the server! Recommended is 0+ partners weekly if you are not sure how much you can partner. It depends to you but unlike me I can post 5-20+ partners weekly. It's recommended to stay away from monthly posting as owners will see you inactive.
3. How do we get partners?
It's important to get partners for the server you work for from the time you promised. If you do not post as the time you promised then you will get demoted.
It's highly suggested to not go on server partner manager's dms to ask to partner! Many pms are busy asf and they hate to get dms, you can aswell get roasted as a noob pm since there are just rude pms based from my experience.
You will get ignored or blocked, even I wants ppl to stop from dming me but ofc I never came that far.
In order to get daily/weekly partners you have to create your own portal server.
4. What are portals?
Paid pms and owners mostly go on portals to mass for points plan or paid plans.
5. What do you do in portals and how do we run them?
You can just either create a server or merge with someone's portal. It's recommended to solo your portal than merging, it's just to make the server's thicc yk. It's recommended to have an organized, understandable, and ofc pretty designed server to get additional good reviews.
Mostly to start from portals now, if you advertise your portal have opened, you will get tickets. You use ticket to be able to give personal space for people who want to mass, they send their ads either in cb or non cb (depends if you're in apple u don't need to be in codeblocked) and then they'll start to post the server ads of the servers you work for. After they post you may want to put a checkpoint to avoid scams or steals, after posting you may start to post their ad to the servers you work for. Additional tutorial in my other blog posts! Reblogs and link sharings are also helpful btw!
Once you've created and fully run your own portal of course at first you can't gain invites that's why handpicking is important! But it's all at first, once you've been so long in pming you will be able to guarantee invites just like me
5. What is handpicking?
Actually it's important to handpick although for a server you quit they feel displeased about you quitting because you're handpicking servers it makes them feel that their server is not good enough. But good or no it's still important to handpick, we have our own tastes everyone's a gem remember that. It's recommended to not handpick servers when you're a newbie, accept all hirings you get all you have to handpick is sfw or nsfw/semtox egirl servers etc only the servers moderation type. After so long of pming, you may start to handpick and give more requirements into hiring you, you may quit working for the servers you don't find good(handpicked quits), they can also help your portal to be organized or be able to start gain more invites.
6. How do we gain invites?
You do gain invites by handpicking servers, you may choose an aesthetic server but mostly we get invites by working for big servers (9k-11k members) or simply active servers, but when it comes to the portal it depends to the servers people mass for, if it's a non aesthetic or advertisement server, it's hard to gain invites. You can't handpick people's ads because it's other people's work! But having low invites for them might be blamed for you to so make sure to build a good reputation in servers in order to be well known and gain invites.
7. Paid Pms
What are paid pms tho, they're simply partner managers who have been paid to work for them, this is not a long term work, it's only a short time work but it is highly stressing based in my experience. They are hired for a certain reason like pming to give a certain amount of invites for the server or give partner points for the server (basically just to make partnerships channels thicc/ known ). You may get deadline or date to finish your work but if you can't promise you will have to take down the offer. You also need to be sure how much invites or points you can so that there will be no problems with your paid. I also had a mistake with this, I thought I could give 500 invites but it's really taking me forever, good grief the person who hired me said I can take as long as I want. Being a paid pm is a serious work! You have been paid and that's a big deal so for whatever happens you need to finish your paid
8. How do we not get scammed?
So there's like two types of getting scammed, either get scammed as a pm or get scammed as an owner. Getting scammed as an owner means you paid them first but they didn't do the plan at all. Meanwhile getting scammed as a pm means you've been promised to be paid after work or halfway but did not get paid at all. In order to avoid these scams, you can ask for proofs that the owner paid other people as well. And for you, you might be asked for proofs that you've been paid and finished your plan in order to gain owner's trust. If you don't have yet and is just starting, you may mention "proofs 0/2, I'm new and will need more proofs in the future" and so people will understand you.
Thank You!
Supports, likes, follows, and reblogs are highly appreciated!
Comment me for tutorial requests! I am open to help but since I'm also a pm I might reply late too </3 so please understand. Being a pm is not an easy work, it's really stressing and consuming your time but breaks exists! You can take breaks anytime every servers allow breaks anytime so don't worry! You can add me in discord !-Mahiro ★#0001 if you need any other help or want to hire me thank you!
If you're hiring me 4 free:
Must be sfw nontox
Join a server of my choice
You leave = I quit
5-10+ partners weekly
No quotas + have pm channel
Has luminous nova or any partner counting bots
If you're hiring me as a paid pm:
$5 800-1k prts/100 invites
$10 3k-5k prts/300 invites
Pay halfway if points plan
Pay first if invites plan
I have 0/2 proofs, my paids are ongoing
Any server fits for me if paid pm just not nsfw tho

TWST Boys Working at McDonald’s Headcanons
Don’t ask why I wrote these, I blame the stress of finals 😂 it has finally broken me I’m lovin’ it
The Jade edit is by cream-chix! Go check out their whole series of TWST McDonald’s icons.
Tumblr media
🌹 Riddle 🌹
Frequently gets mistaken as a kid that wandered behind the counter. Has to remind his coworkers that he, indeed, also works there.
Mcfucking loses it if he catches you eating food on your shift (looking at YOU, Ace!!).
Can recite the employee manual and all the policies and rules to you off the top of his head. Demands that his coworkers memorize them, too. He can and he will report you to the manager if he sees you screwing around!
♣️ Trey ♣️
He’s just here because he needs to help pay for his college tuition and textbooks.
Technically he’s supposed to stop people from getting refills without paying for them, and technically he’s supposed to charge extra for sauces, but Trey doesn’t. He isn’t paid enough to care.
He’s not the manager, but he gives off manager vibes... so the entitled customers always screech to speak to him. Trey just wishes they wouldn’t cause trouble.
♦️ Cater ♦️
The employee that’s always on his phone when you walk up to the counter to order.
Regularly leaks McDonald’s secrets and shares tea about his coworkers on his Magicam page.
Actually takes the time to make sure your food vaguely resembles the food in the ads, just so the customers can get a semi-cute pic for their socials.
His UM makes him perfect for rush hours!
Has an existential crisis every time he stares deep into his own eyes whenever he cleans the bathroom mirrors.
♥️ Ace ♥️
His brother used to work here as the manager, so Ace got in through that connection. He’s gonna be the very best, like no one ever was and surpass his brother!
Waits for Riddle to turn his back, then stuffs his face with all the cherry pies; there’s only going to be apple pies for sale when he’s on shift.
Frequently gets into arguments with what he calls “Karens”.
Always has beef with some coworker (usually Deuce), insists that they’re going to have a fist fight behind the dumpster after work.
♠️ Deuce ♠️
The fresh-faced newbie that tries super hard to please his manager.
Asks to be graded on his performance every season, as if he’s in school or something.
People always call on Deuce to help resolve minor technical issues. Once, he punched the ice-cream machine in an attempt to fix it and it actually worked.
🦁 Leona 🦁
Got a job only because his family wouldn’t stop nagging him about it.
Takes up a whole booth to nap while Ruggie covers for his shift. No one questions it.
Always scrapes the lettuce and other veggies off the burgers he eats for his lunch breaks. Hisses when he learns his McDonald’s branch started offering salads.
Cheka visits sometimes to grab a Happy Meal; he asks his uncle to give him a smile with his Happy Meal, which Leona grumpily gives.
Gets into fights with Vil and Malleus about his work performance every other day.
🐆 Ruggie 🐆
Eager to take on his coworkers’ shifts! He could make do with the extra money.
Chipmunks large amounts of food in his mouth during his meal breaks. Collects scraps to repurpose into more meals for later. Saves condiment packets too—you never know when you might need them!
He might pocket some Happy Meal toys to palm off for small bonus profit later.
🐺 Jack 🐺
Takes his job super seriously. Quick to tattle or report a coworker if they misbehave.
Uses his beastman traits to his advantage. For example, he uses his nose to sniff out overcooked food and his ears to pick up on incorrect orders.
Jack knows McDonald’s doesn’t have real meat, but he’s not afraid to tell it like it is. What’s wrong with spreading public awareness? People ought to know what they’re putting in their bodies!
🐙 Azul 🐙
Artificially restricts the McRib and Szechuan sauce supply to drive demand up. Evil capitalist bastard.
Generally acts nice enough, but has a tendency to humble brag about his accomplishments. “Anything you can do, I can do better” energy.
Kisses the manager’s ass. Eventually usurps power and becomes the manager himself.
Always eats salads on his lunch breaks, except that one time he wolfed down 100 pieces of Chicken McNuggets in one go.
Uses Grim as a dirty dish rag.
🐬 Jade 🐬
Seems like the ideal employee on the surface (on time, no behavioral issues, etc.), is actually the most vindictive and passive aggressive person you’ll ever meet. If you slight him, his eyes will never leave you.
Happily crushes children’s hopes and dreams by telling them that Chicken Mcnuggets are actually made of pink slime.
Whenever it is his turn to take out the trash, you swear the garbage bags are wiggling and letting out muffled cries for help.
Petitions corporate to add more mushroom items to the menu.
🦈 Floyd 🦈
50/50 chance he doesn’t show up for his shifts and the manager has to scramble to find a replacement. When he does show up, there’s a 50/50 chance he causes a mess or a near-death accident.
Tells you the ice-cream machine is broken, but when you turn your back he proceeds to slide under the dispenser and eat ice-cream straight from the nozzle.
Ditches his shift halfway through to play in the indoor playground (with his shoes on, the harlot!!). He hides in the ball pit and waits for kids to come by to drag them down.
Just chows down on food when the munchies bit him, doesn’t matter whose order it is or who is watching him. Plays with Happy Meal toys or starts mixing sauces when he’s bored enough, too.
☀️ Kalim 🕌
His dad is a franchisee of multiple branches and owns stock in the company. Kalim thought a fast food job sounded fun, so... here we are.
He dances with the mop or broom while he’s on clean up duty!
Sometimes crashes into work late on his magic carpet, or just rides a stampede of animals in.
Tries to help out with cooking, but he always ends up dumping tons of sugar into the beverages or too much seasoning and sauce onto burgers and fries.
🐍 Jamil 🐍
Looks like he doesn’t want to be here and he’d rather be doing almost anything else.
Also sounds like he is bored out of his mind when he speaks to you.
Has to apologize to you for his coworkers’ screw-ups (not naming any names Kalim).
If he sees a bug on the food, he’s not going near it. What if it laid eggs in the sesame bun or something?!
Applying to work at Chipotle or some other fast food joint, anything to get him far, far away from his idiot coworkers.
👑 Vil 👑
He’s only working here as a publicity stunt because his manager said it would make him seem more relatable to the layman. Hordes of fans visit just to grab a pic with him.
A perfectionist with his food. Sometimes it takes him half an hour to prepare a simple order just because he wants a burger to have the perfect ratio of ingredients, or because he wants the fries to be perfectly seasoned and a perfect golden brown color.
Starts calling people “patties” in addition to “potatoes”.
Totally rocks the McDonald’s uniform. All his followers start wearing McDonald’s uniforms as a new fashion trend.
Turns his nose up at the menu items and refuses to let them pass his lips. Even the fruit smoothies McDonald’s offers are suspicious, according to Vil.
🏹 Rook 🏹
A rare creature that actually enjoys working at this forsaken place. Comes into work every day with a big smile on his face.
Draws ketchup and/or mustard smiles on your pickles and tucks them in with a blanket of processed cheese yes, just like Spongebob would.
Stares intensely at customers that choose to dine in.
Volunteers to dress as Ronald McDonald whenever the branch decides to hold a mascot meet and greet. (Vil helps him with his clown makeup.) Genuinely has a good time entertaining the kids and taking photos with them.
🍎 Epel 🍎
Actually prefers Burger King, but has been forbidden from uttering it.
Mumbles; it’s very hard to hear him, especially over the drive-thru mic. He has to speak slowly and carefully so the mic actually picks up on his voice.
Really annoyed with his job. He gets handed all the easy tasks like restocking sauces when what he really wants to do is sling sacks of potatoes on his shoulders—manly stuff like that!
Gets handed Happy Meals for his lunch breaks, which makes him see red.
💀 Idia 🔥
Banned from the kitchen; everyone fears his hair will cause a fire if he gets close to the oil. He’s forced to man the drive-thru or a register, which sets his social anxiety skyrocketing.
Vague posts online about how much he hates his job and/or his coworkers.
Comes into work with little robots and gadgets to do his job for him. Basically automates his tasks.
Complains about the shitty marketing tactics McDonald’s has (they should make a dating sim like KFC did!).
🤖 Ortho 🤖
Ortho is the ice-cream machine—
Comes equipped with gizmos and gadgets to optimize the service quality—thermometer to test oil temperature, statistical analysis software packages to analyze sales data, built-in calculator and card reader...
Stays out of the kitchen to avoid overheating his circuits!!
🐉 Malleus 🐉
Working at McDonald’s to better understand how the common folk live. (Sebek was highly against Malleus lowering himself to a food service job meant for peons.)
Has to use a notepad to record orders because he can’t operate a computer or an electronic cash register to save his life. Also has to work only with cash because he can’t use the card reader.
Since he looks scary, everyone avoids his line when he has a shift in the front.
Cooks burgers and fries with his dragonic fire. It makes the food taste smokier than usual.
🦇 Lilia 🦇
The super old guy that works the front counter (you’re not sure why he’s here, shouldn’t he be retired already?).
Really good with the kids! If there’s any crying in line, he makes funny faces or lets them play with a free Happy Meal toy until they calm down.
Not allowed in the kitchen. Like, at all. He snuck in there a few times and waltzed out with terrifying creations of his own, which he tried to convince the manager to add to the “secret menu”. Lilia’s been banned ever since.
⚔️ Silver 💤
Takes items very literally. You order “one large fry”, and you get a single large fry in your bag.
Stares off into space while he’s waiting for the card reader to print your receipt, sometimes dozing off altogether and falling asleep while standing up.
Has to read your order to you multiple times to confirm it is correct.
⚡️ Sebek ⚡️
Refuses to serve you the lunch menu at 11:59 am. Refuses to let you use more than one coupon per order, too.
Attends every optional team meeting and training session; highly encourages his coworkers to do the same. The kind of guy that strives to be employee of the month every month.
Shouts Speaks loudly and clearly, even over the drive-thru mic.
Salutes to his manager every day and treats work like he’s waging war on the customers’ stomachs.

“A mess, I’m a mess,” you sing-song to yourself, organizing the manuals on the clear glass by subject and size. The applications of all your new interns are alphabetized, not a form out of place. Everything’s perfect. “Alright Jessica, all twenty of the interns are accounted for.”
“Actually, there’s twenty-three,” Jessica quips, and you let your shoulders slump. Being part of the recruiting team of your company has been simultaneously exciting and stressful. Stressful because of the constant travel, but otherwise exciting because you loved your internship at your current company. You remember how nervous you were two years ago, and how much support and help you got from your recruiters. Applying to this team was a natural turn of events.
“A-are you sure, Jess?” you look through all the applications, count the amount of nametags, triple check the chairs. You’re sweating through your blazer, wondering where you went wrong.
The head of your recruiting team glues one hand to her hip, while the other hand is holding her iPad, scrolling with her thumb. You swallow, intimidated by Jessica’s golden wavy locks and her black-trimmed white Chanel pantsuit.
“Yep, but don’t be too hard on yourself. I just added three more recruits last night. I’ll get the chairs and the apps are being printed. No worries,” Jessica assures, gesturing for you to hurry up and get outside, “Call the babies in!” your team leader waves her finger around like a magic wand, commanding you to the front lines.
Krystal puts a hand on her shoulder, as always looking impeccable. She has virtually nothing to worry about. She’s a woman who has connections, courtesy of her team leader. “Let’s go, newbie,” she teases, pulling you through the door.
The recruits in the lobby are wide-eyed and vibrant, and you feel a little nostalgic as you watch them line up in front of you and Krystal as you sign them in. You would dwell on the feeling more if it wasn’t for your exhaustion, so you decide you’ll get a chance to take a road down memory lane when you get to the hotel.
“Name?”
“Xu Minghao.”
“Congrats Minghao, here’s your nametag and I’ll see you inside,” with a firm handshake, one recruiter is free to go.
“Name?”
“Chou Tzuyu.”
“Congrats Tzuyu, here’s your name tag and I’ll see you inside,” she doesn’t go in straight away, and moves to the side of the door. “Actually,” you pause mid-handshake with another recruit, staring at the woman in curiosity, “my boyfriend just got a call last night that he was accepted in this year’s batch. Do you have his name?”
“Yes, three more recruits were added,” you chirp, as if you totally did not hear that bit of information five minutes ago, “What’s his name—Jungkook?”
The both of you blink at each other. One hand on Tzuyu’s shoulder, eyes wide and mirroring yours. Your heart falls straight to your stomach, wanting to be eaten by acids and bacteria so you can stop any possibility of feeling any lingering affection for the boy you fooled around with in undergrad. Everything about him screams professional. He’s clean cut, a pinstripe black suit you never thought he’d own, and his hair is neatly trimmed and pulled behind his ears. His shoulders look tall and broad under the slight padding, his biceps comfortably stretching against the dark fabric. The golden complexion remains the same however, from the honest brown eyes to the coral pink lips that would always smile at you.
“Oh, so you do have his name!” Tzuyu clasps her hands together, delighted. He has a girlfriend, too. It’s then you realize you’ll be stuck with not just him, but her for the week. “You guys are so efficient. C’mon Kookie, let’s find some seats!”
“I still gotta get my nametag,” he replies goodnaturedly, gesturing to you, “save us some seats in the front?”
Tzuyu thinks nothing of it, squeezing his bicep before skipping off to the front row. Your eyes linger on her form, and it’s only then you realize how tall and intimidatingly pretty she looks in that plaid teddy bear brown skirt suit. You did not look that good when you were a budding undergrad.
By this time, Krystal has taken all your other recruits from your line, regarding you with a raised brow. She’s fast with her attendance, so you know you don’t have much time.
“I applied last minute,” Jungkook says, scratching his head, “was running out of options before graduation. I didn’t know you’d be one of my recruiters, though. Lucky me.”
Jungkook and you never ended up keeping in contact, at least as of recent. A check-in message a few months in, a happy birthday or holiday greeting late at night. But two years later and those messages are automatic, with no feeling or personality. You never thought you’d see him again, no less in the city.
“You just graduated with your masters, congrats,” you smile at Jungkook, although you’re sure the feigned emotion fails to reach your eyes, “IT Management, right?”
“You remembered,” Jungkook brightens, reaching over to squeeze your shoulder, “you look good.”
“Oh please—”  you laugh to yourself, shaking your head, “I just got off a flight and I ran over in a two-day old suit, I don’t even have makeup on,” you didn’t feel this way in the morning, you just rushed to do the bare minimum to be enough and ran over to the convention hall. But now in the presence of Jungkook who looks so handsome and clean-cut, you can’t help but feel a little slighted at the sudden reunion.
“You’re always beautiful,” Jungkook exhales, and you clutch your clipboard closer to your chest.
You cough, an excuse for him to stop touching your shoulder, “You should go inside, it’s gonna start soon. We can catch up later.”
“Wait—” you make a scrunched up face that Jungkook can’t catch, but right in Krystal’s view. You can tell she’s laughing at you internally with her devious grin. “I just wanted to say, Tzuyu isn’t my girlfriend. We’re just…”
“Fooling around?” you didn’t mean for it to sound so sharp, but you wanted this conversation over. You have a job to do and Jungkook is your emotional barrier.
You and Jungkook used to fool around.
Jungkook winces, looking younger in his monkey suit. “I mean if you give me a chance to explain later—”
“Nametag, let’s go newbie.” Krystal slaps on the sticker herself, a little too hard if she asked. She doesn’t even bother to write his full name, just a bright green Jeon JK, IT Management tacked on his breast pocket, clashing with the gold pocket square.
“Sorry,” Jungkook tucks his tail in for now, bowing at you and Krystal as he scurries inside.
You let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding in. Krystal doesn’t bother to comfort you or ask what’s up—not that you want her to, even though you do want a breather before you have to go up on that stage and explain the itinerary for a week. The only thing you can do is smooth out your skirt, brush away the flyaways on your hairstyle and plaster a company-paid smile on your face.
The autopilot switch is on throughout the rest of the morning. Not just because Jungkook’s around, but the new position has got you on livewire. You’re glad that you’re not wearing base makeup because you are absolutely melting with all the high beam lights all up in your face as you talk through the week’s activities.
You could swear Jungkook clapped a little harder than most once you stopped talking, but maybe it’s because you’re not used to seeing Jungkook in the very front of a lecture. In fact, he was a very hard middle person, preferring not to show off his intelligence and let other people lead the discussion. Then again, it’s been two years, you don’t know how much he’s changed.
Jessica caps off the seminar with a great kick-off, the happy hour. The recruitment team picks a four star restaurant under their hotel so the recruits can enjoy themselves before going off to the training facility for a week.
And by training facility, you also mean yet another four-star hotel. You knew you made the right decision by joining this company because the benefits are impeccable, and value personal enjoyment just as much as they value work ethic. In the morning you and the recruits will be driving uptown to a private resort where there would be classes in the morning, and recoup in the evening. You’re very much looking forward to the infinity pool on the roof.
The recruits are ushered out as soon as you’re done, and that’s when you step out of the shadows to clean up the chairs and the brochures left behind. Thankfully Jungkook is probably following the norm and going back to the hotel to freshen up before dinner. Once the room is completely empty, you rip off your blazer and let yourself relax.
It’s going to be a long week.
Tumblr media
Jeon: where u @?
You: hotel room
Jeon: why? Thought we were all gonna have dinner together
You: nahhh, this night is for the recruits! You’ll be tired of our faces by the end of the week, enjoy it while you can 😉  have a good night
You sigh in contentment, relaxing further into the silk sheets. You just finished your skincare routine, letting some mindless drama play as the essences and serums sink into your skin. All you want is one Jungkook-free night. Tomorrow you’ll be stuck training him and Tzuyu for the week and you want to take tonight to emotionally prepare yourself.
Your phone rings once more.
Big Baddie Jessica Jung: krystal and i ordered takeout in the restaurant downstairs. Can u bring it to our  room? Plsssssss
Little Baddie Krystal Jung: it’ll be faster if you do it, we even got u a lil somethin🍰🍰🍰
Taking in your outfit, you grimace. You’re dressed for bed, a large nightie with your hair pulled back and a little pink bunny tie headband on top. Can’t they get room service to send it up? You admire your boss but you don’t understand why she needs to display her power over and over, she already knows you’ll follow her to the ends of the earth.
Quickly slipping into a pair of sneakers you run down the expanse of the hotel. It’s easy to spot where the recruits are, livin’ it up in the large restaurant that takes up half the space of the ground floor. Most of them are pretty drunk, hoping to sleep off the hangover on the four-hour bus ride. You have absolutely no judgement, two years ago you were in the same position.
Thankfully you don’t have to go far into the restaurant, as the hostess immediately knows Jessica’s order. While you wait for her to go into the kitchen and get it you drum your fingers against the counter, hoping no one notices you. It’s akin to when you’re a teacher in a mall, hoping none of your students gawk at you in the middle of Victoria’s Secret.
“Ah, well Jungkook and I aren’t official yet—but very soon.”
Your ears perk up at the sweet voice. Tzuyu is leaning across the open bar next to the counter, sipping on a mango mojito. She’s dumped the blazer for the night, showing off her soft skin and slender arms with a sleeveless cream blouse.
“Then where is he?” another recruiter asks, gesturing to the expanse of the lobby.
“He’s not much of a party person,” Tzuyu shrugs, tipping back her drink.
You scoff, plastering on a smile to the hostess as you grab your bags and walk as fast as you can out of the lobby. You’ve never felt more like an old hag until now. Sure, most of the recruits are younger than you, but seeing Tzuyu talk so freely about her relationship with Jungkook has you in a bit of a spiral. The day of graduation, you told Jungkook not to wait for you. Heck, you’re only interested in the idea of what you could’ve had with Jungkook.
These thoughts only cloud you further as you jab the elevator buttons all the way up to the suites where you and the Jungs reside. You relax a little when you see a strawberry cheesecake sitting prettily on the top of their order, your name written on the label with a little heart. Hanging their bag on the door handle of their room, you make your way back to your suite.
You freeze when you see a floppy-haired Jungkook roaming the hallway, looking like a clueless child hobbling around in slippers and wide eyes at any sparkly item that decorates the area. It doesn’t even look like he tried attending the happy hour tonight, dressed in an impossibly big heather grey sweatsuit that swallows his form.
“Are you lost?” you ask tentatively, as if you’re talking to a toddler lost at the mall.
Jungkook relaxes considerably at the sound of your voice, and he replies, “Was tryna find your room since you didn’t reply to my texts.”
“So… you decided to check all the rooms?”
“Yep,” he pops the p with a smack of his lips, “I figured the recruiters would be far away from the party so I started at the top. Thankfully I got to Jessica’s room first. Didn’t have to knock on too many doors. Only one old man got annoyed at me.”
“You’re crazy,” you chuckle, slipping in your keycard to let Jungkook in.
“Fuck, this room all to yourself?”
Jungkook doesn’t hesitate to kick his slides to a corner of the wall, flopping atop your bed and clutching your baby blue koala plush in his arms. The king sized bed is enough for his legs to stretch comfortably without falling off the edge, and he eagerly pads his feet against the soft fabric.
It warms you to think that Jungkook is comfy enough to lay on your bed and hug your stuffed animals, a semblance of friends that you’ve missed for such a long time. Last year the team you worked for was great, you loved the people and even now you consider some of them friends. This year the team is a little smaller, and since your two other co-workers are sisters, it’s a little harder to nudge yourself in the direction of friendship.
As soon as you sit down against the headboard, Jungkook’s eyes soften. Everything feels so different and the same. The threadbare pajamas that either of you haven’t had the heart to throw away since they’re so damn comfy, yet  your bodies are a little more worn and your eyes a little more droopier than usual.
“So,” Jungkook bites his lip, not in the sexy way, but the nervous way, “about Tzuyu—”
“Jungkook, you don’t have to explain yourself,” you slump on your corner of the bed, regarding Jungkook with guilty eyes. “I really shouldn’t be feeling the way I’m feeling. It isn’t fair and I don’t want to jeopardize your internship.”
“And… what are you feeling?”
“Dumb things.”
“Your feelings aren’t dumb.”
“This time they are.”
“I’ve always shared my feelings, it’s unfair that you never want to share yours,” Jungkook sits up, criss-cross applesauce, pensive. “Maybe it’s my fault for not making you feel comfortable enough to share, but I feel like the reason why we never worked out was because we never tried hard enough to have a proper conversation.”
How could you have missed all the indicators, all the good words, all the kindness Jungkook has given you that last semester? “You’re absolutely right,” you let your insecurities, your apprehensiveness, get in the way. You think in two years you’d do better to eradicate this kind of behavior, but lately you haven’t had many friends to express your feelings to. “Tell you what, I’ll work harder to express how I feel. No exchanges, no nothings. I owe you this.”
“You owe me nothing,” Jungkook smiles, “I just think it would be nice to y’know, talk. As friends.”
“Right, friends.”
“So, will you hear me out about Tzuyu?”
“Let me open my cake,” you pull out your bag with the cheesecake, which thankfully has two spoons, “it seems like we’ll be having that kind of conversation.”
Everyone is more amicable because of food. According to Jungkook, Tzuyu has a hardcore, ten-year plan for her twenties. After a couple of dates with Jungkook, Tzuyu whips him into the plan. Mentions that she’s well-bred and has a family reputation to uphold. Says IT Management is something completely desirable in a partner, that he’s sensible and wonderful and would like to be committed full-time.
“And she talked to her parents about me and said that I’m a good prospect for marriage. Like I’m another pillar in her plan!” Jungkook cries, taking a monstrously sized bite of your cheesecake, wallowing away.
This is akin to sleepovers you’ve always wanted to have in high school, down to the food gorging. You can’t help but be fascinated, “So are you wrapped up in an engagement? Is this a scary rendition of Crazy Rich Asians?”
“You just can’t turn a one-eighty like that on a fifth date,” Jungkook shakes his head, reeling at the emotional whiplash, “she’s really nice. Really organized, really perfect. It really intimidates me.”
“Is she what you reaaaally want?” you can’t help but ask, rolling your eyes at the excessive use of the word, and tamp down the pain in your stomach by eating a forkful of creamy cheesecake.
“I don’t know!” Jungkook replies exasperatedly, “Obviously I’m worried since she wants to put a ring on it. I told her she needs to back off. Right after the seminar I said she had no right telling other people we’re boyfriend and girlfriend. She didn’t say much, just frowned and walked away.”
You roll your eyes, scraping the leftover graham cracker crust from the edge of the plastic plate. “According to her, I heard you two are planning to make it official very soon.”
His eyes widen, “I really bring girl trouble wherever I go, don’t I?”
“Since I’ve known you,” you half-joke, putting away the plastic cutlery on the nightstand.
You two sit in silence for a few moments, letting the television fill the room with mindless static about some sappy Hallmark movie. Tentatively, you land a hand on Jungkook’s knee. He looks down at your tiny fingers, giving his skin an experimental squeeze of comfort.
“I don’t want her,” he finally says.
“Okay,” you reply, “you won’t even have to talk to her if you don’t want to. I can arrange the groups this week so you don’t have to be around—”
“Give me one week,” his eyes flash to yours, dark and sharp.
“Jungkook. You have your determined face on,” it makes you sweat.
“Because I’m determined to win you over, once and for all,” you eyes widen, and Jungkook visibly freezes, “was that too much? I’m kind of on an emotional high today. I didn’t expect to see you today and it kind of threw me into a loop. I thought I might be running into you once I started my internship but I didn’t think you’d be my recruiter. And then you went on that stage all bad-ass talking about work and you looked so gorgeous in your suit and I was so proud knowing you made it and IrealizedhowmuchImissedyou—”
“Jungkook, slower,” you’re feeling a little woozy as well, equally overwhelmed. “You’re just saying this because you didn’t expect to see me—”
“You’re deflecting, again.”
“I’m scared, okay?” you blurt, throwing your hands in the air. “You’re right, this is all so sudden. So can’t we just start being friends and see if it takes us somewhere? You don’t have to win me over, just support me like I’ll support you.”
“I’m sorry,” Jungkook moves up the bed, so he’s leaning against the headboard as well. His long legs stretch farther than yours, and it feels oddly domestic as you talk it out and stare at the television screen. “I’m just, worried I’m running out of time.”
“I'm not going anywhere this time.”
“I know,” Jungkook shakes his head, ridding himself of his torrid thoughts. Conceding, he gestures to the television, pulling out the remote under your pillow, “wanna watch television, or catch up?”
You last about an hour until you knock out. However, Jungkook keeps you entertained up until that moment, as you exchange your lives and stresses. Everything meshes together, you’re not sure if it’s the charm that comes with late night talks, but you feel like you can talk to Jungkook about anything if given the time. You melt when he strokes your hair till the last minute, wishing you a goodnight and a promise of more.
Tumblr media
“Okay, I’ve gone over most of the work ethics in the manual,” you smile nervously when you see your glazed over recruits, nearly falling off their chairs. Even Krystal is bored out of her mind, discreetly playing with her phone in the back under her manual. Of course you’d get stuck with teaching the boring classes. “Any last minute questions before we head off for dinner?”
Tzuyu shoots her hand up, “Are romantic relationships allowed in the workplace?”
Jungkook promptly chokes on his water bottle. He looks up at you, panicked. Ignoring his terror, you paint on a thin smile towards the young woman, “Like I mentioned earlier, romantic relationships between employees are not frowned upon, so long as you’re not working under or over someone in the same department.”
“Right, just wanted to make sure,” Tzuyu is all chipper smiles as she thanks you.
If you were still twenty-one, you’d gag at the pointed look she sends Jungkook. They’re sitting diagonal from each other, and Jungkook makes a point to pretend to be interested in your lecture until the very end.
You’re halfway done with recruitment week, and while you’re not shocked at how fast the week has gone by, you’re fairly disappointed that Jungkook and you haven’t had time to meet up in private. So far it’s been easy enough to keep your friendship (and past sexual relationship) a secret, but something dark and eager tells you how much you want more. The recruiters are eager to leave, all twenty-three of them grouping off and talking about what they want to eat for dinner. Everyone except a certain dark-haired fellow, who’s hair is currently bouncing off it’s styled coiff, wanting to return to it’s normal non-gelled self.
“Kookie,” you raise a brow at the interaction, Tzuyu leaning over her chair to Jungkook’s, “wanna get dinner tonight?”
Jungkook’s taking an excruciatingly long time to pack his things, raising a brow at her, “I’ve told you already, I don’t want to be involved in whatever plans you have.”
“Oh-kay,” Tzuyu rocks back and forth on her oxford heels, pursing her magenta pink lips, “then why don’t we at least walk back to the hotel together? I really want to talk about some things that might change your mind.”
“Nothing will change my mind,” Jungkook’s determined face has been staying strong for the week, from the way he makes sure he’s first in your class to the simple “good morning” and “good night” texts you exchange. “Besides, I have a date tonight. And I really want to talk to the recruiters about a personal work matter, so can you please leave?”
You try not to snort at how blatant Jungkook was being. You pretend to organize your folders, throwing whatever random notes you have in your bag for later.
“A date,” she twitches,  “with who?”
“Someone that doesn’t treat me like a stepping stone in her career path,” Jungkook deadpans, and that’s all it takes for Tzuyu to huff and walk away from the hall.
You think Tzuyu is like a bug, relatively harmless, but someone who gets on your nerves.
“A date, huh?” Krystal quotes, finally looking up from her phone. Her sharp, cat-eyes linger at the door, wondering if Tzuyu is going to pop out and try to drag Jungkook by the reins. Finally, she plants her stare between you and Jungkook. “So, you two fucking?”
“Former fucking,” Jungkook supplies helpfully, and you jump off your podium to elbow him in the ribs, “ow—what?”
“You just don’t tell Krystal we’re fucking!”
“Former fucking,” he chastises, but the eyes he sends you are a little sultry, and you wonder if he’s thinking of fucking in the future. You reel yourself back, focusing on the third party.
But you anticipate that Krystal couldn’t care less, and you’re grateful for that. While a smaller work team means a smaller possibility of close work relationships, you do like the drama-free environment. “Like you said,” Krystal shrugs, slinging her briefcase over her shoulder, “romantic relationships in the workplace are not frowned upon.”
You wring your hands between your bag when Krystal finally makes her getaway, and you look up at Jungkook. “So,” you smile wryly, “you have a date tonight, huh?”
“With a pretty working woman,” he sighs dramatically, putting a hand over his chest, “that is, if she’ll have me.”
“Consider yourself taken.”
Jungkook and you sneak away to your suite once again. To your surprise, the suite is decorated in rose petals and a bottle of champagne sits in an ice bath on your bedside. A large pizza pie sits beautifully on your coffee table, and the television is playing lo-fi hip-hop.
You feed Jungkook champagne-dipped strawberries as you gorge on the joy that is baked bread and cheese.
And when he kisses you, it’s slow and sweet, like you have all the time in the world.
Tumblr media
It’s the last day of recruitment week, and all classes ended at noon so the interns can use all the resort’s amenities to the fullest. Many of the interns, including yourself, Jessica and Krystal, are on the rooftop celebrating a successful workweek. Staff and interns alike are buzzing around, eager to top off their weekend with some relaxation and sun.
Jungkook is with his new team, conversing with other IT employees. You try not to stare too hard at your reignited flame, tipping back a cutely decorated glass of fruit. His arms ripple as he tips back the liquid. He’s wearing a tank top and you could swear his biceps have gotten meatier. Unfortunately you hold yourself back, after all the internship isn’t quite over and you still are a professional.
At the end of the weekend you really have nothing to worry about, you know that.
But Tzuyu? She irritating.
“I just don’t understand,” Tzuyu suspects nothing of your budding relationship with Jungkook. You’re thankful for that because towards the end of the week, it was getting harder and harder to be subtle when you two send each other heart eyes from three meters away.
Tzuyu sounds like she’s talking to herself, the way she stares into the infinity pool, despite the fact that her friends are surrounding her with rapt attention. You’re a cabana away from her, sipping languidly at your drink while Jessica and Krystal nap next to you. Even though you can’t see Tzuyu, you can practically feel her pout emanating through the fabric that separates you two. Despite the fact that she’s been offered a great intern position given her degree and experience, she’s still upset. For her, is that not the most important part of this whole week?
“Jungkook’s really not that great if he’s going to turn me down like that,” Tzuyu seethes. You should write up her nonsense in a book and publish it, really. “Why waste time when he has the whole package right in front of him?”
It’s then you realize why you’ve been so torn, so strung up and wound tight all these years. Just like college, all shy and hesitant to take a step forward while Jungkook was ten steps ahead, you were worried. You let other people’s thoughts stop you from making the leap, girls like Tzuyu that never meant to intimidate you, but you let their presence get up in your head and control the nonexistent hierarchy.
But two years later, and that doesn’t matter. It never mattered. Jungkook is no longer the all-star lacrosse player, but what remains is his heart, full and willing.
Everything Tzuyu just said was… wrong. Irrevocably, inexplicably messed up. But the idea of “wasting time” does strike a chord within you. Are you wasting time? At this point, your feelings of each other are pretty clear. What are you two waiting for, again?
You thought Krystal was sleeping, considering her sunhat sitting atop her face, but once she hears you packing away your bag she whistles, “Go get ‘em, tiger.”
Sending a quick text to Jungkook, you make a beeline for your destination. You don’t even bother looking for him in the crowd.
You: meet me by the elevator at the very end of the lobby.
Not a minute passes by when Jungkook joins you at said elevator. He has two glasses of champagne in his hands, and offers one to you, “tired of the party?” he asks.
You clink drinks, easily tipping yours back. “It’s not our thing,” you declare with a small smile. Jungkook's eyes soften, glancing back and forth between your face and the soft pleats of your marigold sundress. His hair is pushed back, sticky from sweat and chlorine, dark bangs hanging over the shaved sides of his head. You turn your head slightly as you wait for the elevator, biting your lip as you're sorely reminded of how sexy Jungkook looked at the dive pool half an hour ago.
The elevator dings, and it’s wide enough for you to slip in at the same time. You put your champagne glass in the corner of the elevator for now, hoping you don’t accidentally step on it. In closed quarters, you can smell the slight tang of chlorine coming from Jungkook, combined with his own brand of musk.
Jungkook looks younger tonight, happier. Having just finished graduate school and working towards a full-time gig, another chapter in his life has started. His hair is no longer in that tight-whipped coiff he struggled all week to maintain, loosened in its natural wave due to the pool water and heat. His cheeks are a little ruddied and plump, a sign he’s been enjoying the food this week.
The door barely closes when you get it out, pulling at his hand to face you.
“Jungkook, I like you,” you blurt, and his eyes bug out considerably. Out of reflex, his hand sharply squeezes yours. “You don’t have to say anything, because you’ve been saying everything for the majority of our relationship. I really like you, I really liked you back then too. You’re still so sweet, and loving, and smart and I’ve just been too dumb and insecure to—”
Jungkook seals your confession away with a desperate kiss, and you turn into a pile of mush at the contact. Relief seeps into your bones, sings into your system. When he pulls away, he looks serious. He doesn’t let you get far, and clutches your face between his two hands so you can’t turn your head. Your soft cheeks fill between his fingers, warm and cradled.
“Never call yourself that,” Jungkook exhales, regarding you with firm eyes, “you’re beautiful, and intelligent, and the person I want.”
“I don’t wanna take it slow anymore,” you mumble against his lips, leaning in so that you can barely nip at the pink skin. “Want you now, need you now.”
“You have me now,” Jungkook agrees, and as soon as the elevator dings open to your floor, he scoops you up into his arms.
By all means it’s not graceful, he’s clutching you like a baby with his hands over your butt as he jiggles you all the way to your front door. Clinging onto him like a koala, you press kisses to his cheeks as he leads you to your room. You laugh and giggle like teenagers, as he fumbles between your breast to grab the card key that’s nestled between your bra. It’s warm in his hand as he swipes it through the reader, pushing you inside.
“Is it bad that I’m kinda turned on by the fact you got my key out of my boob?” you joke, although the contact of his rough fingers against your breast is a feeling well missed.
“Is it bad that I’m always turned on when you lecture in seminars?” Jungkook retorts, kicking the door closed with his slipper-clad foot as he walks you to the bed. “Fuck, I can hear you talk about insurance benefits all day.”
“Didn’t know my sex appeal extended that way—oh fuck—”
Your vibrant marigold sundresses provides easy access to Jungkook as he throws you onto the mattress, your skirt billowing over your waist as he makes quick work to expose more of your skin.
“No more talking, more loving,” he’s crazed, doesn’t hesitate to move your bikini bottoms to the side as he rubs lovingly at your long-lost bud, “need to fuck you, now. It’s been so fucking long.”
“Kook,” his breath is warm against your already sopping cunt, and you lift your hand to run through the strands of his messy hair. It only takes one firm tug and you’re able to pull him up by the root of his hair, cranberry juice tinted lips with a faint sheen because he couldn’t help himself to have a little taste of you. “Baby, let me touch you. Let me show you how much I want you," you coo with a pout, hands trailing over the drawstrings of his trunks.
You can see how much Jungkook wants to say yes. His eyes glow with the possibility, bright and wanting in the afternoon sunlight. The image of him shoving his cock deep into your throat, so far that you can taste it in every crevice of your mouth. Your nails gripping into his ass as you go deeper, tears pricking your eyes as cum seeps out of your pretty lips.
But he firmly shakes his head, fingers doing the devil’s work as he eases a digit in you. A little noise of protest bubbles in your throat, but it soon dies out as soon as he finds the right spot to reduce you to mush.
“Next time,” he exhales against the juncture between your thigh and pelvis, picking up the pace and adding another finger, “if you touch me, I’ll cum right then n’there. This is enough for me, you’re enough.”
So you let him have what he wants. You’ll make it up to him in the morning, and the day after, and the day after. You shed your clothes, the sundress extra forgiving as it slides off your body, revealing a swimsuit that hasn’t even touched the pool. You feel a little self-conscious as he drinks you in after so long, but he quickly shucks off his clothes to match your state of nakedness.
You remember how you tiptoed around your first night with Jungkook, taking great care to make sure it was fleeting, how dark the room was as you let your pleasure take over your senses. Two years later and the sun is setting, gold bleeding through your sheets and illuminating the room. There's no need to hide.
“I must say, we’ve both kept it tight,” Jungkook teases with a wink, squeezing your hips so he can change positions.
You silently agree, your fingers slipping across the washboard of his waist.
“Mm, and still so fuckin’ cute,” Jungkook marvels as he pulls you up on his lap. Your whole body is flushed with want, one hand squeezing your breasts while the other plays with the curls of hair that lead to your sopping wetness. You glide your core over Jungkook’s stomach, sighing as you take note of the abs that clench under your heat and his hot member that rubs between your ass.
It’s a tight fit when you finally sink down on him, but the burn only fuels your desire as he stretches you wide. His grip is helpful as he guides you through the motions. It’s been awhile since you’ve been this physical with someone, and it’s almost comical when you both sigh in contentment at the contact.
“I’ve missed this,” you mumble, biting into his shoulder as he thrusts up.
“Mm, it feels different, right?” Jungkook hums, keeping a slow pace. The drag is wonderful, and you know that he’s trying to prolong the moment. He reaches for your head, presses his forehead to yours as he speaks, “you’re mine now, right? For real.”
“I’m all yours, Jungkook,” you press kisses everywhere. No need to hide anymore. You bleed love into every kiss, to his jawline, the little freckles across his chin, his lips. “This is romantic and all, but I really want you to dick me down. Which is why you need to go a little faster, you sap.”
Jungkook scoffs, “A pillow princess is what you are.”
He stops moving, and you two sink further into the mattress without its springs bringing you back up. The both of you are acutely aware of how wet you both are, your combined arousals seeping between your seams and dripping onto Jungkook’s thighs. But the young man simply relaxes against the headboard, baiting you.
“Kook,” you whine, clenching against his member. Your hot walls have a mind of their own, unable to stifle their desire. Sweat lines Jungkook’s brow as he tries his hardest not to move, just simply be.
“Tell me how much you want me, princess,” the pet name has you clenching harder, and you pout.
“Baby,” you whine, leaning forward to whisper in his ear. There’s no one in the room, and you’re sure no one is on this floor because everyone’s on the rooftop, but the words you’re about to say are for Jungkook and Jungkook only, “please, I want you to pound me into this mattress until I can’t walk anymore. I want to cry out your name so everyone can hear I’m yours. You’d like that, wouldn’t you?” you nip at his lobe, and let your thumb nick at the simple silver rings that adorn his ear. You hear a click of his teeth, indicating the clench of his jaw as his muscles flex around your body, "I want you to fill me with your cum until I’m eating it, and—and—oh Kook!”
Your words aren’t enough to distract you from his large dick sitting prettily between your folds, and you’re suddenly cumming, all by the mere thought of what’s to happen. You’re shuddering in his arms, and Jungkook soothes you by running his fingers over the spine of your back, distracting you from the utter mess you’re making on the sheets.
“Such a good girl,” Jungkook coddles you, stroking your hair, “can my good girl take it?”
“Y-yes, Kook,” you nod eagerly, fighting the overstimulation as he nudges you off his lap. You’re pliable, as Jungkook sets up the pillows for you to rest comfortably as you get on your elbows and knees, “your good girl.”
You shudder as your bare pussy starts to feel cold, immediately missing the warmth Jungkook can provide. You can practically feel his hot gaze burning in your back, his large palm squeezing your ass as he marvels at how ready and eager you are for him.
“It’s so easy to slip inside,” Jungkook rubs your nectar across the head of his cock, swirling around your engorged skin as he slips right inside. You both moan at the stretch, “Finally, my adorable baby, you like this? You like getting pounded like the dirty girl you really are?”
“Mm, yes!” you squeal, clutching onto the feather down pillows for dear life as Jungkook displays his strength, one hand gripping your hips as the other weaves itself into your hair. It’s a delicious mix of pleasure and pain, and the lewd sounds of each other’s juices and his balls against your ass echoing in the room.
“Y-yeah,” despite his power, his thrusts are sloppy, and you know he’s almost at the edge, “and I like you, so so much. I want to make you cum everyday, make you happy and—mph—” he gives up on talking, focusing entirely on his destination.
“Cum, baby,” you urge, melting when his one hand comes to thread with your own, “fill me up with you.”
He flips you on your back, and you finally see how desperate Jungkook is to cum. His eyes are glassy, filled with emotion as he strokes himself to completion. Your hand reaches up to cup his damp face, and that’s when you feel him loosen. Hot, pearly strings cling to your pussy, decorating your skin in his essence. Your fingers immediately reach down to swirl the cum between your folds, and Jungkook groans at the picture, immediately throwing your hands to the side to kiss you senseless.
There’s so much pouring between the two of you, affection, the feeling of being cherished, so much that you can feel the whole world reducing to the two of you.
“All mine,” he whispers to himself, as if he still can’t believe it. And then, he puts up a poker face as he leans into you, resting his head gently on your breasts, “I knew I only needed a week.”
You narrow your eyes, flicking lightly at his forehead. You’re sticky, sweaty, and covered in cum and while you’re exhausted, the built in jacuzzi in your washroom looks very enticing right now. “Jungkook, this happened naturally. I said we would try as friends first and we did. We just so happened to escalate pretty fast.”
“I don’t think it was that fast,” Jungkook nuzzles his face into your skin, “it’s been two years since college. Being popular did do a number on our relationship, but we caught up."
“You were popular-ish,” you roll your eyes, teasing him. His face falls, and you can’t help yourself. Your hands reach over to cup his cheeks, and you happily squish the supple, pouty flesh. He’s adorable. “Kim Taehyung though? Park Jimin? Absolute heartthrobs I couldn’t stand to be near them—ah!”
Jungkook seems to read your mind, lifting you bridal style to drag you over to the bathroom where the marble jacuzzi sits tauntingly. The stone is ice cold as he brings you both inside, immediately turning on the nozzles to fill it with steaming hot water. You find the tiny bottle of lavender suds, spilling the soap in an arc. His legs slip over yours, cradling you so that your back is pressed against Jungkook’s chest.
“Being popular never mattered,” Jungkook shakes his head, pressing a kiss to your jaw, “I realized the only person who I really needed to notice me was you.”
Tumblr media
bonus.
You wake Jungkook up the next morning with your lips wrapped around his cock, fresh cherry balm rubbing down the thick veins until he's cumming down your throat.
"Wow," Jungkook whistles, licking his lips at the sight of you sucking the arousal from your thumb. He huffs against the pillow, eyes darting to the open organza window, letting in the early morning light. The rooftop of a multi-star hotel, white Egyptian cotton seats, a full time job on the way and waking up in the most blissful way possible.
"I have a proposal," you crawl on top of him like a koala, hooking your thighs between his blanket clad body.
"I do," he replies instantly, looking straight at you with droopy puppy eyes.
"Not that kind," you slap his chest, "where are you living once orientation is over?"
"Mm, there's a boarding house near a local translation. It's probably an hour commute? Not too bad."
"So, I just leased a townhouse last month," you bite your lip, tucking your head between his neck to hide your embarrassment, "I was gonna rent out the spare room and put an advert in the paper but…"
"I do."
"I said it isn't a marriage proposal."
"Asking you to live with me is basically a marriage proposal."
"There will be no benefits," you sit up, wagging a finger in his face, "you'll be paying rent and half the utilities. And you will be doing all the laundry."
"Sure," Jungkook replies loftily, squeezing your ass, "you're benefit enough."
