hi! why do u ship yuesing? /gen
Oh hi! Thank you for asking so politely. To be honest I don't consider myself a huge shipper in general, since my attachment is usually more to characters individually and their overall dynamics with other characters than it is to ships? Maybe that's the aro in me lol. I actually don't think I ever wrote YueSing until I got a Tumblr ask with a prompt for it! I'm also I guess a multishipper? I think? Like I ship AshEiji but also ShorAsh and ShorAshEiji, and have written/drawn all of them. With YueSing, I think they work really well as a platonic or romantic pairing! They're both such interesting characters, and their dynamic together even more so.
I think for me, the big canon moment that suggests at YueSing is at the end of the series—specifically Sing's comment about not being able to bring himself to hate Yut-Lung. Up until now they've been enemies, allies, leader-and-subordinate, and maybe even friends? So there's a lot of context that leads up to this moment. Sing is fully aware of how much wrong Yut-Lung has done, as well as his uhhh general assholery, and ... he still says that he can't bring himself to hate him.
This definitely says something about Sing's opinion of—and even feelings toward—Yut-Lung. Now, of course, what it says specifically is up to interpretation, but I think that romantic attraction (or the potential for romantic attraction) is definitely a valid interpretation of that.
BUT, possibly more interesting, is the impact that I would imagine this line had on Yut-Lung. I personally headcanon Sing as the type of fourteen-year-old kid who has a bit of an admiration-crush on anyone who pays attention to him, and also anyone who ignores him. Soooo it's easy for me to imagine that he's had conflicted feelings about Yue for a long time. But for Yut-Lung? Yut-Lung, who I imagine has hated himself for as long as he can remember? The way I interpret Yut-Lung's character, he doesn't see any good in himself. He essentially says that all he can feel is hatred. So to hear Sing say that, despite everything, he cannot bring himself to hate Yut-Lung? Yut-Lung, who has hated himself for so much less than how he's wronged Sing? I feel like Yue knows that it would be totally understandable for Sing to hate him at this point. He's never shied away from the fact that he's done things that are morally wrong, things that hurt people. But this line of Sing's, at the very end of canon ... it's like he can see some good in Yut-Lung, even if Yue himself can't see it.
So yeah! I absolutely understand people who don't like them as a ship or who don't think they would ever work together, but I think their dynamic makes for an interesting basis of a relationship post-canon or in AUs. After all, even if Yut-Lung doesn't realize it, in the end he's just a sixteen-year-old kid who did what he thought he had to do. He's a kid. He deserves friendship, love (romantic or otherwise), redemption—all that good stuff. And maybe Sing can see that! After all, he's just a kid too.

BF Rare pairing ships
If anyone in the Banana fish fandom has a rare pairing ship that doesn’t get much attention reblog say what it is and we’ll discuss no judgement, I promise. I just want to hear other peoples opinions. Feel free to rant, discuss, gush i’m fine being messaged privately as well if you don’t want it out in the open.
Ash Lynx X Yut Lung   ( i’m thinking Ashyue, or Shadow- Lynx)
Lao x Eiji  (Tiger- bird) because Lao’s sprite animal would probly be a tiger.
Arthur x Wookie ( Dammed -souls)

Hello! Do you have a "type" when it comes to your shipping preferences?
*looks at my shipping list*
Nope. Honestly not really lol. I like some fluffy ships, I like canon ships, I like crack ships, I like angsty ships, enemies to friends to lovers is a damn good trope, etc.
I think what I do like, though, is more the kind of ship where they have the potential to help each other grow, where they challenge each other. That’s why a lot of my favorite ships are the “enemies to friends to lovers” type ships (think Reylo or Zutara, Yukinora, or even Yuesing or Wonglung, Kurokura, Aruani, etc.) because the challenges are usually like reaaaaaally blatant and sharp. I like conflict in my stories and in my ships, I guess, but I also love ships where the conflict comes from outside because they still help each other grow or could do so: Finnrose, Asheiji, Uihai, etc. I also like there to be a sense of understanding of the other person, something in the other person that feels like home, where they can relate to the other person (Reylo, Asheiji, Mutsurie, Banlin, Yatori, Eremika, etc.)--or have the potential to do so (Hisoillu).
Basically ingredients I like: challenging the other and understanding the other. If it’s got Jungian symbolism all the better because I eat that up. Oh, and I’m a sucker for not underestimating the other person.
