corpse husband x fem!reader

summary: you meet corpse on a stream and you’re surprised when he reaches out to you

warnings: cursing, mentions of tattooing

notes: This is proof read but could have missed some stuff. This is my first corpse fic and my first time writing fanfic since I posted that super cringey book on wattpad when I was like 12 or something. I’d appreciate feed back so please reach out to me :)

You were cleaning up your station so you can get home and stream. You loved your day job as a tattoo artist but you also really enjoyed streaming. It started as a way to promote yourself as an artist and the shop you worked at but it eventually became a really fun way to destress at the end of the week (or day if you were really itching to stream). “Hey Y/N was that your last client?” your boss, KC, asked as she walked to the front of the shop and put new flash drawings on the walls.

“Yes ma’am!” You said back excitedly. You finished cleaning your station and tossed your black gloves in the trash. “And you can’t trick me into staying and taking walk-ins,” you joked with her. She rolled her eyes and walked back into her office “It was one time,” she said as you slid on your jacket. As you walked out your phone buzzed in your pocket and you checked to see who had texted you. It was a message from Sean asking if you were free to play Among Us with him and some other streamers. You replied that you were on your way home right now and totally down. You were excited to see who was playing this time around since their Among Us streams are super entertaining and have gotten really popular.

On your way back you tweeted and posted to your Instagram story that you’d be streaming soon and set up all your stuff once you made it home. After a few minutes, you had a couple of thousand people watching. You entered the discord chat and Sean spoke up. “Everyone this is Y/N she’s sensitive so be gentle.”

“It’s nice to finally meet you guys and I’m not gentle, I'm ruthless,” You say into your mic and notice the chat calling you a liar. Everyone was in the lobby waiting for the game to start. “You sound way too sweet to be ruthless,” Corpse said. The countdown started and you were imposter with Charlie.

“This should be fun,” you told the stream. Yout tried playing strategically but after such a long shift your brain was mush. You saw Poki in nav and killed her then vented into shields. Not long after the body was reported and you were sure you were going to get voted out or at least sussed.

“Where was the body?” Felix asked. “Nav and I didn’t see anyone near there so whoever is imposter must have vented,” Corpse responded. Felix spoke up again. “I think I saw Y/N walk that way and I haven’t seen her since.”

Shit, shit, shit shit. “I’m in shield right now so-” you said trying to defend yourself but Charlie spoke up. “I was doing tasks with her earlier and I saw her walk into shields so she’s safe but I’m still not sure about Rae.” Everyone discussed a bit more and some people, including Corpse, voted for you but Rae got the majority vote and was ejected. You released your breath and kept playing being extra careful.

“Okay, guys that was super close. Corpse knows and is out to get me,” you said to the chat. You were eventually voted off but one round later victory was written across your screen with your ghost and Charlie’s avatar. “Good game guys,” Corpse said.

“I told you guys I was ruthless!”

You sat at your station doing nothing because a client had canceled a four-hour session. You were listening to music and sketching some stuff but you were bored out of your mind and you didn’t want to leave in case you got a walk-in. The music got quiet as you received a twitter notification saying someone had messaged you. You reached for your phone and saw you had gotten a dm from Corpse.

C: hey :)

You didn’t know what to respond. You were mostly confused as to why he decided to message you out of the blue. Did he want something? But what would he want?

Y: Hii! This is sudden

C: was i bothering you?

shit sorry!

Y: Youre fine I wasn’t doing anything rn

C: how has your day been

i dont usually do stuff like this

Y: Im glad you did im doing better now I was so bored

C: what were you doing that was so terrible

Y: NOTHING! thats the problem :(

C: im sure youll find something to do

You stared at his message. Unsure what to respond.

Y: Im gonna give myself a tattoo

C: what?

NO!

You tossed the needles you used for your tattoo into the sharps box. “Oh my god you didn’t,” KC said. She noticed the wrap on your calve from the tattoo you just gave yourself out of boredom. “It’s not my fault I didn’t have anything else to do!” You said trying to defend yourself. She sighed and just shook her head. “Just go home business is slow today.” It was raining so the shop probably wasn’t going to get a walk-in anyway and you didn’t have any more clients for the day. It was only 2 pm but you drove home and after making lunch for yourself decided to stream. You weren’t expecting too many people so it was bound to be super chill. Your leg felt sore reminding you of the tattoo. You snapped a quick pic of the fresh jack-o-lantern on the side of your calve and messaged it to Corpse.

C: thats super cool actually

i was concerned why you would just give yourself a tattoo but i found your instagram and youre super talented

Y: Thank you!

For some reason, it felt strange to just have that be the end of your response.

Y: Im about to start streaming if you wanted to watch

What’s that supposed to mean?

You sat in your apartment watching tv, hand lost in a bag of Doritos, and scrolling through twitter. You had stopped paying attention to the anime playing on the screen since you’ve watched it a hundred times and knew you wouldn’t miss anything. It was Saturday and you usually take those days off. Take the time to do chores or meet up with some friends but today you felt like not doing any of those things. As you continue your endless scroll (not helping the twitter addiction you told yourself you’d try to get a handle on) you got a message from Corpse.

C: wanna talk?

You looked down at the message unsure of how to answer. It was a simple yes or no and the obvious answer was yes. You and Corpse had started talking more regularly. You still didn’t have each other’s phone numbers but it was fine. Your conversations weren’t too big-- just you sending him memes, tiktoks, and telling him how much you liked the songs he would drop. Or him complimenting a tattoo you did. Sometimes he’d message you during streams telling you funny stuff his fans would say in the chat and you’d do the same. You learned a bit about each other but nothing too deep or serious. Like how you two lived a few cities away and you both really liked Donnie Darko. When Sean first invited you to that game out of everyone else there you were most excited to meet Corpse. He’s just so sweet and funny. Of course, you’d love to talk to him but you were also itching to talk to him and the last thing you’d ever want to do was make him uncomfortable.

Y: Yeah id love to talk

Here goes nothing.

Y: Wanna facetime or something?

No pressure or anything it could even be a regular call

I think facetime is just my default lol

You sent those last two messages quickly after you had sent the first. You wished you could know what he was thinking. It was killing you to think you had turned him off from talking to you completely. You put your phone down on the couch and went to wash your hand of Dorito dust. When you got back from the kitchen you turned off the tv and tossed yourself onto the couch.

Still no message.

Why am I so fucking stupid?

Just as you were standing up to stretch from sitting on the couch all day your phone buzzed. You reached for it fast and looked to see that it was him. You became super excited still not even knowing what the message said. It could have told you to never talk to him again for all you knew.

C: sure lets facetime

You had his phone number. You added him to your small but growing contact list and called. You sat on your couch waiting for a response when he finally picked up the screen was black. It didn’t upset you; you kind of expected it and didn’t care what he had to do to make himself more comfortable during this call.

“Hey,” he said. His voice was raspier than usual.

“Did you just wake up?” You asked and looked at the time. It was about a little past noon and you had only eaten Doritos all day. Shit, you should probably make a decent meal.

“Not that long ago but yeah,” he responded and giggled. That giggle.

“Well, I’ve eaten nothing but Doritos all day while rewatching Ouran High School Host Club, so you’re welcome to join me as I make myself something to eat.”

“Sounds like fun; what are we eating?”

“I don’t know yet,” You said as you stood up and made your way to the kitchen. You opened the pantry and looked. You noticed a can of diced tomatoes and reached for it then checked the expiration date. It was still good. On your counter were some onions and garlic. “How about some tomato soup?”

“Sounds delicious.” you smiled at Corpse and your phone screen not knowing if he was also looking at his screen or not. “You’re really pretty-- you know that?”

“Thanks, but you don’t have to--”

“I’ve already told you what an incredible artist you are so many times I bet you’re tired of hearing it, but you already know what a talented artist you are.”

“That is very kind of you Corpse,” you said to him bashfully as you chopped the onion and opened the can of tomatoes. “But once again you don’t have to reach so far to compliment me.”

“I’m not reaching you are talented and beautiful and--”

“I thought I was pretty.” You could hear him chuckle with a smile on his face. “You’re both,” he said. You could feel your face getting warm from blushing.

“Fuck you you’re making me blush. My face is all hot and stuff.”

He laughed at how flustered you got. “That’s the cutest thing ever.”

You didn’t know how to respond so you just put some olive oil in a pot and tossed in your onions. It became silent but it was a comfortable silence. You turned the stove on and watched the flame for a few seconds. “If it was dark we could pretend we were together and having a bonfire or something,” you said to the phone as you turned the camera to show him the flame (still not 100 percent sure if he was looking at you or not).

“I’ll put it on the list of things to do when you visit me someday.”

Idk if you're taking art requests atm, but even if you're not, I just want to get my idea out before I burn myself out: 1010 and Neon J growing mechanical wings (cybernetics for NJ) with no idea as to how/why. Could take place in a world with wings or not. Side question, any tips/tricks on how to draw wings? They're the bane of my existence.

Unfortunately rn I’m already swarmed by both ideas and asks than I need to catch up with- so no art requests for now :,> (A shame because AH- I can already picture a beautiful composition with maybe one of the wings in the foregroud- lightly hiding Neon- while the other casts a shadow over him or, even better, reflects the lights onto him-.. agh but I gotta resist the temptation;;) Honestly tho- I’m really bad with cybernetic stuff so I don’t have any idea either about how that could happen ahah. Actually...wonder if wings could work as some sort of.. benign infection- mhh. A virus in Neon’s case could be enough to manifest a cybernetic aura for them- but for the bois.. geez it would have to be something extremely potent to be able to modify their internal structure to sprout something resembling a pair of wings- without compromising anything on top of it all! ..Ah better if I stop here before it turns feelsy like everytime I touch the wings argument sdghs. Good choice not burning yourself out for the idea tho! Always prioritize your well being- you can always write down and come back to ideas on a later date afterall!

For the tips and tricks- I’m sorry but you’re asking the person that willingly draws wings the wrong way and sketches them just thinking about them aesthetically instead of anatomically. In poor words-

I’m quite the wrong person to ask this ahah, wings are a love and pain relationship for me also :,D

So- the only reliable tip I can give is to study birds pics (especially parrots! I find them easier to study due to the contrasting colors of their plumage that neatly already divides most of their wing into sections.) It is hard to find very specific poses, but it is always better than doing it from nothing/without any ref.

Actually- if someone got tricks for drawing wings- heck hit me up with ‘em as well sgdhsd

Okay that's episode one done. Took fucking forever.

I think my feelings so far is what I expected:

As an adaptation, it sucks. The characters are nothing like their original versions. The aesthetic is completely gone. So on and so forth.

But treating it as its own thing.... It's still a bit of a hot mess but the kind of hot mess I'd be all guilty pleasure about.

They seriously should've just made this it's own thing. Give the characters new names and you wouldn't be able to tell it was related to Winx Club.

Your art is so cool, got any tips on getting better at it?

Continually practice and force yourself to learn stuff until you get to the point where you can say “ah yes i like this”

JKJK thank you!! onestly i dont even rlly know how i got to this point with my art gfhjfhfd but i do have a few tips!!

Remember, references are always good! Especially if you wanna draw a certain pose or if you need help imagining what the background for a pic should look like. If you’re ever struggling with a pose, I like to search up poses of irl photos (or you can ever take a pic of yourself doing said pose) and trace them until I feel comfortable drawing it on my own! (reminder, DONT TRACE OTHER PEOPLE’S ART. idk just feel i need to say this ;; not to you anon but as a bit of a disclaimer, just use irl photos or even stock photos) References or simply screenshots of, let’s say a character, are also rlly helpful in this instance too. Using multiple screenshots can sorta help you understand their character a bit, or for me at least. (w/ spinel, i like looking at poses of her stretching to sorta get a feel of how i should draw her when i wanna draw her doing something similar!)

Practice is RLLY RLLY IMPORTANT. This may sound weird, but I actually drew spinel a TON in my sketch books to sorta help me figure out how her base structure works. I continued to draw her over and over again until i was happy w/ how i drew her! Even then though, I continued to experiment w/ my own style.

Speaking of, experimenting is rlly rlly good for art! This goes as far as trying out new styles, using art materials you wouldn’t normally use, and just testing your art elements. For example, I usually use the pen feature in sai when I draw but recently I’ve been using the brush feature and found out i actually like using that to draw a lot more! Experimenting is useful when you wanna explore more of your art. It’s also good to experiment w/ expressions too! (also off topic, but apparently when i draw, i make the face of what im drawing dkfjgfk most of the time though apparently when im rlly into a drawing, i look like an angry baby, as told by my lil bro)

Sketching daily helps too! Having a sketchbook on hand and kinda just drawing whatever comes to mind i feel likes helps your creative process or at least lets you sorta get that drawing feeling out when ya need to! :]

A lot of the time I also sorta sketch designs and mess around w/ what I can create. Even if I never end up using the designs, they’re more for practice rather than me creating a new character.

Also remember, if you don’t know how to finish something, you can always come back to it later! I have a lot of unfinished sketches of ideas that at the time, I didn’t know how to finish, but eventually came back to w/ an idea! :o

aahh that’s all i can think of rn!! these are just things i do at least xO you dont gotta follow them or anything, they’re just merely tips! ;w;

What is your physical and digital workspace like when you’re working on your story?

LOL it really depends on what stage I'm in of the process - My storyboarding space is at home, as comfortable as I can be, a beer and some food at the ready and pure silence. The cats have to be freshly fed, otherwise I'll be harassed and lose my headspace entirely LOL. I usually work on my story boards digitally, just at a very small scale, with my script/outline on my computer and working on my ipad! The double screen helps a LOT, although i would just print out the script if I had access to a printer, haha. When I'm working on the actual page itself, it's a very different story. I usually just try and work on it in tiny little batches during the day when I'm stuck at home, and usually work around the animals as best i can, lmao. Truthfully, I really prefer to be in a coffee shop when I'm working on finishing pages, it makes me so much more productive than i am in this house with so many things to take care of right in front of me, but, obviously, that's a bit difficult to do these days. ;; I usually reserve food and drink until after I pass a milestone in inking/sketching to help motivate me to keep going for as much as I can before taking a break, and I need some kind of music or video playing in the background to keep myself from being absolutely bored out of my mind. My shading process, since it's in black and white, is very easy and i can finish it in one setting, easy, no matter what I'm working with. I also work digitally for my pages, of course, although I don't need more than my ipad and clip studio for it!

I work almost entirely in the corner of my IKEA couch at home I used to work at a proper desk with a Cintiq, but when I switched to Procreate on an iPad, I migrated to the couch and surrounded myself with a nest of clothes and blankets and books and... here I am, bein' cozy. With terrible posture But when I was between jobs last year, I did rent a little coworking space down the street so I could get out of my pajamas and go get comic stuff done there. It was a godsend. I like drawing at my favorite coffee shop every so often too, but I tend to hide my work while I draw, and there, everyone can look over my shoulder The coworking space had a tall artist desk that was rarely used, so I often grabbed that one. Not cheap, but to stave off cabin fever, heck yes, worth it.

Ahhh I've been really thinking about getting a studio space one of these days I really shouldn't rn, with my finances as they are, but I could REALLY make use of one recently

I loved the space I used last year. They recently had to close for... current-event reasons... and are going to reopen with all sorts of plexiglass barriers between the desks I feel so bad for them. Good studio spaces are wonderful, I would support them again if I ever was out of a job!

My old workspace was in the basement of my home in canada and it was always perpetually freezing even in the summer and i was frequently visited by spiders so my current workspace is a huge improvement in that regard. I do miss my old ergonomic desk chair though. I'm definitely not the kind of person who can draw in bed or on the couch. I need to be in workmode and having a designated space just for that is necessary for me to get in the right headspace for that.

my workspace rn is just my desk with my laptop and my drawing tablet. my laptop is stacked on top of a pile of books so i can see the screen (otherwise my tablet blocks my line of sight). it's kinda simple

Depends. I have a Cintiq Mobile Studio, so I can draw pretty much every where and sometimes in the oddest position, but most of the time I am on my desk with the cintiq hooked up to a second monitor so I don't have to look down so much.(edited)

Holmeaa - working on WAYFINDERS

For Wayfinders: Thumbnails are somewhere cozy and the only physical work. Me and Q sit and plan them out together. The rest of wayfinders are made on Photoshop, and flat colors in clip paint studio. In the world I would love a nice studio place in an office with others. During corentine I have been working from home, and I am not that good at it, being quite the extrovert. Before corentine I was in a artist residency where I worked on Wayfinders which had a workstation and all the programs we could need. It is so nice and me and Q are going to return there when it opens up again!

my current space is uh.... a bit better than my last one. I used to work on an old writers desk for a decade and I did most of my comic work sitting there cramped up with my desktop taking most of the space. Now I have an L shaped desk where I have my desktop on the shorter end. The longer end it's my pen, pencils, and watercolor stuff. my display tablet occupy the space at times so switching from digital and traditional without worrying about setup hassle is a lot better than what I dealt with before lol.

I’ve got a little drafting table where I draw all my comic pages. I’m messy with my pens so they’re kind of strewn about until I start to lose them. Then I put them back. I’m not particularly neat. I spend most of the comic process off the computer, so most of my digital work is just on an iPad where I can sit anywhere. I try to keep good lighting around my drafting table and there’s always loose eraser shavings all over.

I got myself a lil corner desk by the dining table. Not as well-lit as I'd like, but it's decently ergonomic and I started putting posters on my wall Plus I can leave work mindset easily by turning off my computer and forgetting about the dark corner in the dining room XD(edited)

My desk is really sloppy and covered in all kinds of junk. I have a harmonica, a ball of yarn, a bunch of ink bottles, etc on my desk. I have my sketchbook under my tablet and usually a notebook somewhere for writing. My tablet sits to the right of my laptop (on top of sketchbook) while I'm not using it and when I'm using it it goes over my computer keyboard. I sometimes have a glass of water or some food sitting to the lefthand side

On it, is my laptop and the left side is my clipboard, 3 blue folders full of writing. Then above it, is 3 sketchbooks and another blue folder from a class that I took in community college.

I have one long desk at almost three meters. On the left side is all my coffee and tea supplies, in the middle is my work space and on the right is my dining table xD I get everything done from there, despite having a mobilestudio so I COULD sit anywhere and work, lol. It's a blessing during holiday seasons to be able to bring it everywhere, but at some I like my designated working space. Although I am moving in a few weeks, so who knows what my new workspace will be

My workspace is a big, broken corner desk I managed to lug out of an old apartment when it was gonna be trashed. Before then, I'd just draw in bed. I don't remember, but I'm pretty sure the folding chair I sit at is a similar affair. It's got a Dollar General throw pillow on it so I can at least say I'm trying to save my back. The top of the desk is a mess of mostly old bottles and cans, pencils, incense ash, and my old tarot deck. I love this setup dearly. This is the first time I've ever had my own desk space, much less a space I can decorate or leave as messy as I want. Got my own art up on the walls with sticky tack and all! Also the cat's scratching post is directly behind me, because we've learned the cat won't use it unless it's as in the way as possible. What can ya do, lol.

I got spoiled with an adjustable desk. It is six feet long, and has a whiteboard top for noodling with dry erase markers

my main computer is set up on an adjustable stand so it floats over the desk, and then I have my cintiq, which we tried to mount on a similar stand but then it was just too heavy

I keep my dice collection nearby because fidgeting helps think things through sometimes

and rolling to make odd decisions never hurts

lately during the quarantine I've been sharing the office with my spouse so we've had to establish rules over when it's okay to bug each other(edited)

oh yeah and we also have a whiteboard installed in the office, and it rules!(edited)

Mine is pretty simple: I have a laptop that's long stopped being portable and is now mostly just sitting at my desk at all times and a 19 inch Ugee as my display. I usually keep a lot of stuff on top of my desk, but it's mostly just a mess because I have been using it for work too for a while now

I suppose I'll talk about my setup too :) My main setup is where I do digital art. I share an office with my SO, so we both have workspaces on opposite walls from each other. I work on a corner desk that holds my beefy computer, two monitors, and a Huion Kamvas GT-191. That's where I draw my comic and pretty much everything else done digitally. Ngl, it's a mess right now. I have comic notes and location floor plans in sketchbooks and DnD character sheets spread out all over the surface, and random pens and sticky notes. In the corner of the room, we have a nice large-format printer where I produce prints for conventions. I actually sketch my pages on an iPad pro in Procreate, so during the sketch phase, sometimes I'll just bundle up on my couch and do it, or before quarantine, sometimes I'd sketch on the go. My other workspace (which hasn't gotten much love as of late tbh) is a drafting table in the corner of our living room. I keep a tabletop easel on it and my Copic markers, as well as whatever I'm working on at the moment. (RN it's some ink washes.) The drawers hold all my ink, pencils, erasers, etc. Next to the drafting table is where I keep all my large charcoal, graphite, and oil pastel drawings (mostly school projects), and my large paintings. Other than that, I have a nifty little cart where I keep painting supplies :) I will say, this setup is by far an enormous improvement from my previous setups.

Sorry to be a bother again but I was wondering if you have any tips for drawing clothes and folds and such. I have a super hard time with that. I also wanted to ask how one should go about drawing if one is in a situation where they don't have any pose refs. Like, how should someone draw a pose from their brain? erm, Im unsure how to answer this, but lemme draw a thing and post the process under readmore? I hope it helps (:3;;

a 3 sec sketch; basically outlines what the pic will look like; sort of lik a gesture drawing!

I usually skip right to drawing the skeletal base drawing, but it helps to understand how to simplify the body parts. This is how I break the body down to make it easier for me to digest and draw.

when you can simplify the body down like this, you can easily deconstruct photos/references! when you have a repertoire of poses in your mind after studying a lot of poses, that kind of stuff become easier to draw from your mind cus you’ve drawn it before.

disclaimer: “anatomically” correct is really subjective; some artists will bend anatomy, as such, not every human has the same anatomical body proportions, so that’s really up to you to decide. (Ive never done art school so Im not the person to ask about this.)

I start loose and then slowly tighten the details all around. Work on drawing holistically (keeping in mind your entire picture) rather than zooming in and working on one part to another.

ok, back to my sketch;

since ive already defined the person’s body structure, I skip right to drawing the clothes on top of them; some ppl will actually draw the body structure neatly before they put clothes on them; it really is up to you!

keep note that this hasn’t been anatomy checked or whatever, just still roughing it out and cleaning it up as I go.

for clothes fold, i saw this rly cool tip where you imagine shower curtain rings

and sorta draw around the movement of it (ofc this is like.. the wrinkles around the arm/sleeve etc.) AGAIN please use reference of real cothes to get a better feel of how to draw it (:3

andddddd ofc, cus im a wishy washy person, the anatomy changes overtime the more details I add in, so it’s……. iunno. yeah. it’s a nightmare to horizontal flip it, but it does help you catch a lot of things that are wrong (like I know the head tilt is gonna be a problem here lol.)

and well. it’ll be touched up a lot more, sketched better/cleaned up; so yeah. i’m at the brink of passing out rn, but this is just the base drawing process !! I guess (?)

But actually I base my designs for Kirishima’s casual clothes completely on his official casual clothes (which is to say, his shifuku) and the stuff he’s worn in canon already ( x x x x x ) - people consider him a fashion disaster for the crocs, mostly, and I guess the patterns of his shirts? Ah, personally I don’t dislike either so I guess he doesn’t come off as a disaster in my doodles hahaha

I’d lie if I said I don’t have a couple of doodles saved somewhere in my art folder, but to be fair my gb Baku and Kiri are... exactly like Baku and Kiri, I wouldn’t really change them all that much, so I never find it much worth it to talk about it? I think Bakugou might have been a bit different in backstory since being a girl would have made people less, uh, sure he was destined to beat All Might or whatever, but in general he’d stay the same imho. Kiri too, he wouldn’t change all that much either. Their designs also, their quirks require them to be buff after all. I dunno man I just don’t think them being girls would change all that much about them so my ideas on this specific aus are always a bit eh, sorry!

That’s adorable and I’ve been crying over that for two years now ;^;

Life Update part I actually managed to clean the house a bit be proud

Hey peeps!

Long time no life update!

Okay so I don’t fully remember what the last update was about so I may repeat some stuff ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

First and foremost,

The Rat Situation/Home Stuff

We still have rats, of course, because rats aren’t really a problem that go away on their own, no matter how uninhabitable you make their (and your own) environment.

Good news though, Burger King has absolutely stepped up his rat catching game tenfold.

In the past two weeks he’s caught at least 20 or so. Like, he’s seriously a beast.

I kind of think his improved hunting miigghhtt be because there’s a a smol little orange girl kitty who is wandering around here and he’s trying to impress her (or show her up)

She’s also helping us with the rats too, so kudos to her! I’ve named her Creamsicle and I plan on capturing her and taking her to a no-kill shelter ASAP, but she’s very shy rn so I’m currently building trust. In the interim she has a nice warm home under our house and plenty of food and water. ^__^

Even Better Good News I’ve been talking to extended family member after extended family member in a real life version of crowdsourcing and we can finally get an exterminator/humane trapper up in here!!!

It’ll still take a while because we need to clean but!!! Freedom is in our sights!! Rat freedom! ^___^ this is like a good ending to The Judge’s House.

Bad news just to keep you on your feet, out stove kind of exploded last night.

Well okay it didn’t really explode explode, but damn was it scary anyway.

It made an extremely loud sound and blew fire up from the one stove eye that was on and then the fire went out and it started hissing gas

We turned it off and then turned off the main gas line in total and well, this is what the gas lines leading up to the stove eyes look like:

Yea they’re all four broken like that. Idk how or why but they seem to be made out of aluminium? For what ever reason? And they’ve just broken in half. Yes this is a terrifying discovery :/

We are looking at some “new” stove options, there’s a lot of Renovations going on around our neighborhood and a lot of peeps who want to just get rid of their old stoves for cheap or even free

So we might be able to find something nice and affordable. ^_^

(Also we aren’t sure how long the gas lines to that stove have been leaking so I’ll keep you peeps updated on if our health improves any lol)

Or idk, lack there of.

So, big deal, I’ve finally and officially been diagnosed with Tachycardia!

Which is one of the many things I’ve been saying all along!

I have supraventrical Tachycardia, meaning the top part of my heart beats 3 times for every one time the bottom part beats. They are also looking to see if I also have POTS, which is very likely because it seems to be postural

I’m on Digoxin now and it’s been somewhat mildly improving my dizziness, so yay!

In even more exciting news, I finally finally finally have an appointment to see a bone/joint doctor.

So we can figure out why my joints dislocate like crazy. (Idk if it’s EDS or not but we will know soon I hope)

And hopefully this will help me get to a place where I can get medical treatment and maybe even recover some.

Meanwhile I might make a separate post about the idea of retroactive disability, which should absolutely be a thing that exists and goes along with my socialist ideals but I’ll make that later so shhhhh

Otherwise health stuff has been frustrating for me lately, both of my ears have severe inner ear infections and I think I have a mild flu, despite having gotten my flu shot for the year -_-

And of course I had my period twice this month (that’s also something I’m going to talk about in a different post bc it’s a little tmi) which means nearly 3 weeks of feeling like a hibernating bear and sleeping almost 24/7

Which btw is why I haven’t been on much

Creativity

Okay so like I said in a previous post, I am absolutely making a poster for Markiplier’s charity livestream (December 1st, 10 am PST)

And I’m actually really excited about making it. I’ve been practising sketching peeps and practising the human form for a few months so I’m kind of ready to make it.

Plus it’s just nice to have something to work towards ^__^

Also, I think I might make a Minecraft playthrough.

So the short version of a long story here is that while I’ve played Minecraft for years I’ve never finished the game.

And that’s not for a lack of being able to, I could have done it at anytime... but I’ve never felt ready.

And now I think I’d love to record it, because why not?

The End Poem is actually really special and meaningful to me and I think I’d like to experience it for the first time first hand (I’ve read it before but like I said I’ve never gotten to it myself) with you peeps.

Idk if I want it to go up on YouTube or not but perhaps?

Anyway let me know if you want me to make a Single Person Vanilla Minecraft let’s play I guess?

It might not be anything new but it would at the least be my own...

And finally

Cleaning

So I enlisted some help in my extended family members and we went wild with cleaning my grandma’s house.

We stuck to the kitchen and living room but we had it nearly spotless by the time she woke up, her being none the wiser to what we were doing

And I mean, my left knee was completely dislocated the entire time, and my back and hips hurt like crazy now

But I am honestly really proud of myself for forcing myself to do it.

Okay well I think that’s all of the major life updates for the time being!

1. What age did you begin getting into art? Why did you get into it? hmmmmm im gonna try to answer this as interestingly as i can. so ive been drawing all my life and i think it was just bc a) there was always art supplies lying around and b) i just had so many things in my head and wanted a way to express them or just get them out. like when i played with my toys i was always completely quiet bc i was imagining everything in my head. sound/speech/words just weren’t as interesting to me as a way to put my thoughts out there as visuals were. also i rly liked ranma 1/2 and wanted to draw it.

4. Do you make merchandise? Favorite kind of merch to make? i don’t. i did think about making charms once, even if just for myself. you know, those cute, chibi-esque ones everybody makes? then i remembered i couldn’t draw sth cute if you put a gun to my head.

5. Who/what are your art inspirations? I listed some of my favorite artists the last time i answered questions like this so i guess this time i’ll go with the ‘what’ rather than the ‘who’. to me, the most inspiring thing are atmospheres. it could be a garbage container with 1000 stickers stuck and half-way teared down on it. the way the colors and rips in the stickers look and how it adds to the mood of the location. or sometimes it’s listening to a certain song at a certain time in a certain place that creates a unique mood and inspires you. but looking at art has never been an inspiration. so there’s that.

6. What is something (a technique, behaviorism, etc.) that you do with drawing that you think is unique to you?

ok but in seriousness, i don’t think there’s anything. any uniqueness comes from a lack of skill and knowledge so i don’t think it’s worth mentioning. like what do you even want me to say?? that i edit pictures i drew in clip studio in ms paint?? bc i do.

7. Describe your style. What would you change? neither here nor there. i feel like you can tell i’m a bit scatterbrained bc my drawings always look like they were done without any kind of direction lmao.. in general, i’d like to draw more realistically. i’d like to look at my own drawings and think ‘this pose looks rly natural, the way the clothes fit, the way the face looks, the perspective, the way this character interacts with the environment; it all looks right’. i’d also like to be able to use colors better but it’s hard when you struggle to name more than 3.

8. How do you get out of an art block? well, usually, I don’t. i’m pretty sure i’ve been in one for the past 3 years or so lmao (lamenting my anguish online) but i’ve been told that just working through it is the best way to go. just drawing. even if you hate everything. future you will thank you for it, bc you’ll probably be learning things while doing so, even if you can’t see it at that moment.

9. Does your style reflect who you are visually or your personality? both tbh. if you saw a pic of myself next to a drawing of proto danny you’d definitely see a resemblance in a way. (things like the clothes i draw him in are a given i think. ive probably drawn 90% of my wardrobe at this point) but my personality too. the things i spend more time on while drawing, the colors i choose, the mood in my drawings. that’s all a part of me. im pretty sure my oc tags are fairly accurate documentation of my mood swings and general attitude towards life throughout time lmao also, this thing i summed up in my tags a few years ago

10. What do you find easiest about drawing? getting the ideas for it

What do you find hardest about drawing? actually drawing said ideas. look, the moment i sketch the idea down it’s already 50% worse than i imagined it, then when i go to actually draw the thing it turns into sth so bad that i can’t even come up with a forced joke about the scenario. but anyway, lately the thing that scares me the most about drawing (and why i can hardly do it) is heads. heads heads heads. faces faces faces. i just cant do it man lmao

12. Is art part of your career or a hobby? What is your goal with art in life? my goal is to get a better hobby and to never have to return to drawing ever again. but that’s wishful thinking. i guess it’ll always stay my biggest hobby but i’d consider my life a failure if it ever turned into a career.

13. Advice to give to beginning artists? draw your ideas. never limit your creativity bc you don’t have the skill to express it to its full extent. a crappily drawn picture that conveys a cool idea or creates a cool atmosphere is just as good as an expertly crafted painting that has a lame subject. there’s a reason ppl admire the mona lisa but would rather read 90s manga than stare at that portrait all day. god. i guess motivational speaker is another career that’s out of the question lmao but you get what i mean!!

14. Advice to give to your artist peers?

also don’t take advice from me.

15. What have you drawn recently that you are proud of? ‘recent’ is relative, and so is ‘proud’, but i still rly like how this pic turned out. i just feel like it looks very decided, like i knew what i wanted to do and did it (i didn’t)
