-ˋˏ✄┈┈┈┈ here’s a little information on what my account is for, warnings of things you may see on my account, rules for what I tolerate and don’t, my art and the journey I’ve been through with it, my fandoms, and a bit about me ( in that order ) :D

-ˋˏ✄┈┈┈┈ my account is for things I create, and the occasional thing that others have created that I like so much I just have to reblog. Mostly the things I’ve created are art pieces ( usually of people ), but I dabble in writing, also. There’s the occasional meme, headcannon, personal story, and sometimes just something I want to get off of my chest. If you’re worried you might see something that triggers you, there’s a list of warnings below. There is absolutely no NSFW on my account!

-ˋˏ✄┈┈┈┈ warnings: blood, sexual innuendos, references to alcohol and drugs, mentions of self harm and suicide ideation ( very rare ), eating disorders, possible references to abuse ( verbal and physical ), and depression. All of these are rather rare, but they may appear!

-ˋˏ✄┈┈┈┈ I started drawing when I was younger than I can remember. I’ve drawn people since I was about one year old, and have progressively improved. I started taking my art more seriously in grade five, when I generally got made fun of for my art. Usually that would’ve discouraged me, but I was a stubborn kid. I kept drawing. I started posting my art in grade five, and it all started with the coding program called “Scratch”. I would post animation memes and interactive drawings, until I left in the year 2023 in grade eight. I got 450+ followers in the time I was on there! I make a point of drawing everyday with my little brother and dog.

💙 Hello, everyone, and welcome to an exciting Spotlight Saturday! 💜

Today we are doing something a little different… we are spotlighting an artist with amazing talent (who happens to create fantastic Jancy fanart):

We will still post about Jancy fanfic but we will be blogging/reblogging about anything and everything Jancy. This includes fanart, fics, analysis, spoilers, and whatever Jancy related fun you guys come up with!

(Spoilers will be under a cut and labeled as such so no worries if you want to remain spoiler free. We will not be reblogging spoilers since you can’t hide reblogs under a cut.)

MORE BIG NEWS!

To celebrate our new name, we will be holding 2 events in early 2024:

1. A fanart event, tentatively titled “We Love Jancy,” will run from February 11-14. Yes, we are ending the event on Valentine’s Day… it is Jancy, after all. 🥰

(Artists: more info, including prompts, coming soon!)

And…

2. Once our fanart event has ended, we will start our month long artist/writer collab! Meaning, we want to see all the fics inspired by the amazing fanart from our “We Love Jancy” event. We’d like to pair up writers with artists so they can create a joint masterpiece (fanart and fic). The artists can be as hands-on or as hands-off as they’d like in the process. They can say anything from “Write whatever you want!” to specifying rating guidelines, setting, etc. The only thing we ask is that the fics are Jancy centric.

We would like fics completed by March 20th as that’s the first day of Spring (new beginnings) and s5 will be bringing us new Jancy! So that gives writers a little over a month to write their fics… fics can be any length but we ask that they are at least a Drabble (100 words).

Fic writers, both new and experienced: Please be thinking about participating and sharing your talent! More info on this event will be coming soon…

Artists, as I said above, you can be as involved as you want… it’s up to you! We just ask permission to repost your art (with credit) for this event only. You can obviously also choose not to participate, ofc.

We are really excited here at Jancy Fanfic Central (soon Jancy Central!) for these two events that we hope will bringJancy shippers together to showcase all the amazing talent that lies within our community!

🎨 Kirsten’s answers to our Q&A: 🖌️

1. I first got into fanart through the Sonic The Hedgehog series, I'd look up renders and try to draw them on paper. What drew me to the fandom was seeing other peoples drawings/interpretations of the characters I liked.

2. The fandoms I’ve made fanart for are: Sonic The Hedgehog, Five Nights at Freddy’s, Undertale, Steven Universe, South Park, Attack On Titan, Tokyo Ghoul, Haikyuu!!, Seraph Of The End, Voltron: Legendary Defender, Yuri!!! On Ice, My Hero Academia, Hamilton, Heathers, Ben 10, The Dragon Prince, Miraculous Ladybug, The Legend Of Zelda, Ace Attorney, Stranger Things (there's probably more but these are the ones I can remember) I don’t do fanart for a lot of these fandoms anymore but sometimes I’ll do redraws of the old fanart for the sake of comparing my progress.

3. I’m not going to do ALL the fandoms but some of my favourite characters to draw overall are Chat Noir (Miraculous), Keith Kogane and Princess Allura (Voltron), Link (Zelda), Godot and Mia Fey (Ace Attorney), Rayla and Aaravos (The Dragon Prince) Armin Arlert and Mikasa Ackerman (Attack On Titan) and, of course, Nancy Wheeler and Jonathan Byers (Stranger Things)

4. My muse characters are pretty much the ones listed above, I always have to sneak my favourites in lmao

5. If I absolutely *have* to get a character in I always find a way to add them into the background or do a separate doodle with said character

6. I don’t think I have a preference, actually I enjoy drawing both equally.

7. Not really, my opinions are usually based on canon media.

8. I’ve made a few OC’s, they’re usually characters designed to fit in the media I like

9. Again, I’d be here all day if i listed 3 ships for every fandom so here’s a few of my favourites: Klance (Voltron), Marichat (Miraculous), Rayllum (The Dragon Prince), Miego and Klapollo (Ace Attorney), Arumika, Yumihisu and Levihan (Attack on Titan), Gwevin (Ben 10), Sidlink (Zelda), Silvamy (Sonic), Jancy and Byler (Stranger Things)

10. I tend not to draw pairings I don’t like, the closest to this Is when I used to do OC x Canon fanart requests on DeviantArt when I was like 12

11. I’d say the main genre of art I draw is ship art/fluffy art but every once in a while I love to do a horror/creepy piece

12. Not that I can remember but I’d love to do something like this in the future

13. It’s a mix of both

14. I'll draw almost anything in terms of rating but whether I'm comfortable enough to post it is another story - the only ‘nsfw’ stuff I've actually posted is gore but even then it's been pretty mild.

15. I do use warnings bc i don't want to make anyone uncomfortable. I feel like it's important to tag the usual stuff like gore, nsfw in general, any sensitive topics like abuse etc. I don't think I've had to add a warning that could be considered strange before though.

16. I don't use anything like headers or previews tbh I just post the drawings with a caption and call it a day

17. I don't title my art for the simple reason that I cannot come up with names for the life of me. The filenames of my drawings are usually just a random jumble of words or letters

18. Most of my inspiration comes from browsing random poses/references, listening to music, watching tv and movies

19. I try to get the idea sketched out as soon as I can but if not I'll just make a note of it in my notes app

20. Definitely!

21. Yes, it's usually stuff like AUs where I've gotten really invested in the idea and want to create as much of that idea as I can

22. No, the closest thing to these events is a week event for ships/characters. I don't do much of these bc I often end up procrastinating and leaving it to the last minute and then I end up stressing myself out trying to finish it in time

23. The main sites I post to are Tumblr, Instagram and Twitter. Occasionally i'll post before and afters to my tiktok account and once in a blue moon i may even post to my old DeviantArt account

24. Nope, no betas here I'm afraid.

25. I love listening to music while drawing, sometimes it'll be a character/ship themed playlist and sometimes it's just any music that I'm into at that moment.

Kidge One-shot - All You Have To Do Is Ask

Character: Keith Kogane, Pidge Gunderson/Katie Holt

Pairings: Keith/Pidge

Warnings!: None, really. Some tears. Happy ending.

Summary: Post Season 8 off on a tangent, Keith is leaving to join the Blades while the rest of the Paladins stay on Earth. Pidge, with her feelings for Keith, tries to tell him how she feels...

A/N: I am not dead! I am back on my bullshit! Feeling emotional about my ship and had to write this!

All You Have To Do Is Ask

‘You’re really leaving?’

Keith turned as he shoved the final t-shirt into his bag to find Pidge standing in the doorway. She was wearing her new lab coat rather than her garrison uniform, and it suited her. ‘Well, yeah. Kolivan and Krolia need help distributing aid to all the planets in the alliance. Without Voltron, I’m not needed here. At least I can do some good out in…’

‘Who says you’re not needed here?’ She interrupted.

‘I’ll do better out in space.’ He slid the zipper closed. ‘I’ll be much more useful.’

She folded her arms stubbornly. ‘We need you here, Keith, there’s plenty to be done on Earth. The garrison…’

‘Has enough heroes. I won’t be missed.’

‘Says who?’ Pidge spat. She has been wrestling with her feelings for the paladin before her for well over a year and realised, as much as she hated to admit it, she was deeply, irrevocably, head-over-heels in love with him. It was embarrassing. Her heart raced when she thought of him, not to mention clammy palms and her stomach having what could only be described as some sort of gastrointestinal distress. She had tried to hide what she felt in the hope it would pass, but much to her dismay, she found herself in the situation she was now. Facing a personal ultimatum that this was her last chance, the one opportunity she had to take to tell him the truth. Even if nothing came from it she had tried, and that was what mattered.

‘No one said it, but I know it’s the case. I am needed up there. Not here.’

‘You are needed here, more than you know!’ Pidge took two steps towards him. ‘If you’re not here…when you left for The Blades before, that was bad enough, but now…now…’

He looked at her, her cheeks flushed, eyes blazing, her bottom lip trembling. She was so passionate about what mattered to her, easily elated by the smallest breakthrough, or riled to anger when it counted. But he didn’t remember seeing her like this before. This was a different kind of passion, and it intrigued him. Not that he had time to consider it. He had places to be. ‘You’ll get over it. I need to go where people need me the most.’

‘I need you the most! I mean, we! We need you most!’ She rapidly corrected herself as tears began to prick at the corners of her eyes. ‘And I don’t want you to go.’ She murmured the last quietly.

He sighed. She hated goodbyes, he knew that, and she had been forced to say it so many times to people she cared for, but she survived every time. This was no different. He came to her, stopping less than an arm’s length away, and looked down at her, not comprehending why she was this upset. ‘You’ll be fine.’ He rested his hand on her shoulder. ‘And I’ll still come and visit.’ He could admit, if only to himself, that he wished she meant this in the way he had wanted for some time, on a personal level. He was struggling to keep his relationship with the youngest paladin that of friends and colleagues, having started to notice every little thing about her and how it made him feel…more than he did for the others. He knew leaving was the only way to set this right and avoid what could only be a one sided disaster. He could dream, though.

She swallowed hard, she realised she was about to break her promise to herself. ‘Right. Well, have a safe trip.’ And she turned, leaving his room as she gritted her teeth, letting her tears run free as she bit back her sobs.

‘Hey, Pidge…what happened?’ Lance walked past her, noticing her tears as he levelled with her, but she just waved her hand at him and hurried away. He frowned, having noticed the youngest paladin’s longing looks at Keith, and though he really couldn’t see why, he did recognise it. Something must have happened. ‘Mullet, what did you do?’ Lance marched straight into his room where Keith was putting his bag by the door, ready for the off.

‘Good to see you too.’ Keith replied at Lance’s indignant snapping.

‘What did you say to Pidge?’ He poked at his shoulder as Hunk walked in.

‘What happened to Pidge?’ He hooked his thumb over his shoulder.

‘I didn’t do anything.’ Keith pushed Lance’s finger away. ‘We were just saying goodbye. You know she hates them.’

‘What did she say, exactly?’

Pidge slammed into the lab, kicking a trash can across the room out of sheer frustration.

‘Couldn’t do it, huh?’ Matt called from their adjoining offices.

‘Not even close.’ She sat down hard on the swivel stool, making it spin. As she turned by the bench she grabbed a spanner before stopping herself on the next pass and smashing the circuit board sitting there for all she was worth.

‘That isn’t going to fix things!’

‘No, but it might make me feel better!’

‘Pidge?’

She froze with her arm in the air as Keith’s voice came from the door she had entered through. Her tears had mostly dried up by now but that didn’t mean her heart was ready to see him again. She had been prepared to possibly never see him again. ‘We said our goodbyes, Keith. What more is there?’

‘Lance and Hunk said you were upset.’

She spun on the chair, still brandishing her spanner. ‘Is that that this is about? The fact I got a bit teary?’

Her eyes were no longer the watery amber pools then had been just minutes ago, now they blazed with a fire he was more used to seeing in battle. ‘I just…uh…I wasn’t sure if I said something or…’

‘I wasn’t kidding, Keith. I will miss you. But you’re determined to do this so get gone, go. I’m not doing another goodbye just to soothe your ego.’ She spun back to the table and started smashing the circuit board some more.

‘Okay, then. See you, I guess.’ He rubbed the back of his neck, unsure how he was supposed to react or respond.

Pidge listened as he left before whacking what was left of the circuit board three times in quick succession before throwing the spanner onto the table. He was actually going and she still hadn’t been able to tell him how she felt. She was an idiot and had no one to blame but herself. Maybe it was for the best, but right now she didn’t know how that could be possible.

Matt waited a full three minutes of Pidge sitting with her head in her hands before he spoke, coming to the adjoining door between the lab and office. ‘So, you’re just going to let him go?’

‘Yeah, Matt, I’m just going to let him go.’ She sniffed loudly. ‘He wants to go and I’m not enough to keep him here. Happy?’

‘Of course I’m not happy. I don’t like seeing you like this. I just don’t want you to have any regrets.’

‘Too late.’ She dropped her arms onto the bench and rested her chin on them, staring at nothing as reality beat down on her.

‘How hard could it be to tell him the truth?’ Matt pushed.

‘Too hard.’ She mumbled. ‘I just don’t do good with feelings.’

‘You do, just not these ones.’ He finally crossed the room and rubbed her back soothingly. ‘If you could have, what would you have told him?’

She sighed heavily, her breath shuddering through her petite frame in a way that had Matt hurt for her. ‘I guess…I’d ask him to stay. Not for the garrison, not for the rest of the paladins. For me. Because I’ve loved him so long I don’t know how…’ She paused as a small sob wracked her body. ‘I don’t know how to carry on if he leaves again.’

‘Why couldn’t you tell me?’

Pidge’s head shot around at the sound of his voice, this time coming from the office doorway. Her cheeks flamed as Matt took a step back, allowing her space. She wasn’t sure if it was to put him out of striking distance, as she really felt like punching him out right now because he had obviously set her up, or just to give her space, but she couldn’t consider that right now. Her mouth worked a few times, but nothing came out, unable to form any words after unknowingly confessing to the man she loved.

‘Why couldn’t you just tell me?’ He repeated as he came forward, allowing Matt the chance to slip away and out of the door. ‘I just don’t get it, I thought we were close, that you could tell me anything.’

‘We were, are.’ She corrected herself, getting to her feet and backing up two steps, hoping to keep some distance between them so she could continue to think clearly, but the hurt and confusion in his eyes threatened to addle her further. ‘And that’s exactly why I couldn’t.’

‘I don’t understand that.’ He shook his head. ‘Shouldn’t stronger feelings make it easier to talk to me?’

‘No!’ She threw her arms up in the air. ‘Not in the slightest! You’re leaving and I might never see you again, even if you do say you’re going to visit, but if I had told you, if you knew, like you know now, you might avoid Earth all together just to save us having another awkward conversation like this one!’

‘I still don’t understand why this has to be awkward.’ He took another step towards her as her back bumped into a rack of spare parts. He was still some way away but she couldn’t help feeling cornered, even if she could easily have escaped. ‘Why would telling me you love me be so hard?’

‘Because…’ She started as he got ever closer.

‘I’m listening.’

‘Because…’

‘Yeah?’

‘Because nothing I say could make you feel the same way!’ She blurted as he reached her, one hand coming up to rest on the shelf beside her head. ‘And nothing I say could make you stay.’ She murmured.

He sighed, lowering his gaze as he did so before speaking in an equally hushed tone. ‘Quiznak, Katie. How did you never realise that I’d stay…but only for you?’

‘You’dwhatnow?’ She garbled as he suddenly looked up at her through his eyelashes, a small smile on his lips.

‘Ask me to stay. Not because the team need me, not because the garrison needs me, but because you need me.’

She took a shuddering breath before letting it out, her voice coming in little more than a whisper. ‘Stay, Keith, please? For me?’

His free hand came up to cup her cheek, angling her face towards him as his lips approached hers. ‘For you? Anything. All you have to do is ask.’

Note: No trash cans, spanners, or circuit boards were harmed in the writing of this one-shot.

Lance and Keith as Taylor Swift Songs 👸🏼

This idea has been floating around in my brain for FOREVER. So I decided to finally write it all out. Idk if it makes any sense at all, but here it...

First, the most obvious:

And I’m still a believer, but I don’t know why I’ve never been a natural, all I do is try, try, try

Lance is mirrorball 🪩

mirrorball is about putting on a facade for the outside world, solely to please the people around you. But your facade is fragile and does you a disservice, as its only there to reflect the shine and brightest of others around you.

Lance feels as though he doesn't deserve to be apart of Voltron. He questions his place on team and wonders why he was chosen to defend the universe. He feels inadequate, he's insecure about his abilities, and he constantly compares himself to the rest of the team. He puts on a facade of comedy and confidence only to truly believe that he is less than. He sees himself as replaceable, instead of a integral part of the team.

I don’t care what anyone says, this was written for Keith!

They told me all of my cages were mental So I got wasted like all my potential

This boy had so many issues in school, socially speaking, but was literally TOP OF HIS CLASS! Shiro, Garrison professors, and Keith's classmates could all see that he was going places.

Was so ahead of the curve, the curve became a sphere // Fell behind on my classmates, and I ended up here

But whatever was in store for Keith's future of ruined when Shiro went missing. the one person who'd ever really pushed him to be better AND believed that he could be better was gone. So he dropped out/got kicked out and whatever future he had as a pilot was gone.

I didn't know if you'd care if I came back I have a lot of regrets about that

There is no doubt in my mind that when he left to join The Blade, HE DIDN’T THINK ANYONE WOULD MISS HIM! Same could probably be said about him leaving the Garrison, EVEN LEAVING EARTH! He didn't believe anyone would care he left, because he didn't believe anyone cared he was there to begin with.

And it's hard to be at a party when I feel like an open wound It’s hard to be anywhere these days when all I want is you

Keith missing Shiro when he goes missing? Keith lining for Lance? Either way, never met a character more "open wound" coded than Keith.

Next…

They see right through me Can you see right through me? I see right through me

Lance is The Archer 🏹 (duh)

Ah yes, a song all about being ready (or forced) to “go into battle” but hiding your insecurities behind confidence. And then you're worried that anyone will know you're secretly insecure?

That's Lance!

Lance is 100% ready to give up anything for the good of the team and the good of the universe. But he’s also incredibly insecure of his abilities and his place as a defender of the universe. The repetition of the “they see right through me” lines, as well as the “I see right through me” line, LITERALLY IS Lance speaking. Those are his words! Straight outta his brain!

Who could ever leave me, darling? But who could stay?

Lance hides behind this vail of confidence only to truly believe the worst of himself. And he believes everyone else to also have this low opinion of him. So while he can behave as though he's a flirt and sincerely wanted by many, there is no part of him that really believes that.

Keith is my tears ricochet 💧

Keith can literally travel the universe, but he has no real home. No family. No safe space to return to once he's finished this travels. So he literally go anywhere he wants, but he can't go home.

I didn't have it in myself to go with grace And you're the hero flying around, saving face

"I didn't have it in myself to go with grace" sounds like he was angry and said something he shouldn't have. "The hero flying around, saving face" sounds like literally any other member of the team. It makes since that he would see them as heroes and not himself.

I didn't have it in myself to go with grace 'Cause when I'd fight, you used to tell me I was brave

Definitely a line about Shiro. I mean, COME ON! "When I'd fight, you used to tell me I was brave"! Not in a physically, angrily fighting way, but in an encouraging way. In a way that only Shiro could cheer Keith on while he fights to hone his skills and make something of himself.

And finally…

I know my love should be celebrated, but you tolerate it

Lance is tolerate it 🕰️

I notice everything you do or don't do You're so much older and wiser

The song as a few lines about how much the speaker looks up to the subject. Lance admires a lot of the team and puts them on a higher pedestal than he puts himself.

The Legend of Zelda: This is the fandom that introduced me to the internet back in 2019 (I’m a late bloomer, I know- XDDD), and kickstarted me making theories and analyses!

Friday Night Funkin: Hate it or love it, you can’t deny there are some amazing individuals out there! And for you modders out there, this game is actually heavily moddable- and one mod in particular was what caused FNF to blow up in the first place! This is actually the fandom I’m hyper fixating on right now-

Favorites: While they aren’t as important to me as the “crowned” ones, they still managed to hold my attention for a month or so- and that’s something to admire, considering how hyper my brain is!

Animator Vs Animation: This is the fandom that introduced me to Tumblr and AO3 back in the late summer of 2021- don’t worry, @ann-aha, you’re not alone! XDDD

Oh, and I can’t talk about “AvA” without mentioning the rest of the stick figure community! Shout out to Henry Stickmin, Rock Hard Gladiators/Hyun’s Dojo, Hyun, and Gildedguy! :D

Genshin Impact: Contrary to popular opinion, this game isn’t just for “nerds” or people who can afford to splurge thousands of dollars- I managed to complete the current (back then!) storyline as a free-to-player! While I’m not in the fandom anymore, at least give this one a chance?

Undertale: Ah yes, the funny skeleton man fandom /j /lh But seriously, this fandom isn’t all “Sans Fangirls”- just search up animations and artwork! Or, better yet- search up a full play through of the game (I recommend this order for newcomers- Neutral, Pacifist, Genocide) and let the story and gameplay do the talking! ^^

Minecraft: Of course I’d be into this fandom at some point, everyone will! I’m not into DreamSMP (please don’t kill me I’m just not interested in stuff like server-wide wars), but I AM fond of Hermitcraft and Empires!

Gonna preface this by saying that this is my attempt to approach this purely from an observational standpoint about a evolving narrative. My opinions on the Content Creators and the discourse surrounding them I will keep to a minimum...

I watch the QSMP and enjoy it for what it is, but I have no delusions about what it is becoming. It is currently in a state of decay and started to be so about the time of "The Egg Arc".

While I do like what they were doing with the eggs, the nature of their place on the server, "fragile and fleeting", has become a narrative albatross. Everyone MUST be pro egg. Anything that wants to remove the eggs is the antagonist. It has created some great tension as to who the antagonist is, but the "Fragile and Fleeting" aspect is being ignored due to sentiment that the Eggs are children and the admins behind them are real people who's presence will be eliminated from the story. The content creators that are adoptive parents are in a catch 22 of log on nearly every day to do tasks to keep eggs a live or they die or living life like a normal human being. To lose an egg is to lose purpose, as many creators that have lost eggs rarely log in to participate in lore, let alone play the game. Then there is the community that has also become attached. The eggs beloved as they are now, have served their narrative purpose and should either transition to a new role or be removed from the story. But the death of an egg is such an impactful event on the server. The players and admins go through actual processes of grief as they deal with a loss and because of this, I think the authors, or Quackity, took pause, CHANGED THE STORY, to revolve around the eggs being permanent fixtures that CAN die, but don't have to. Shiro from Voltron was written as a character that had an arc and was suppose to die, but was reintroduced in a role where he had no purpose except to exist. It was awkward to watch the series with a dead man, reanimated on fandom whims. In Guild Wars 2, a major character death was thwarted because the community was fond of a relationship between 2 of the characters. In the original Transformers Movie, the death of Optimus Prime was devastating to a generation, but if you watched the next few seasons of the show, Optimus returned from the dead, and he was so displaced, he became antagonistic toward his allies because he was not suppose to be alive in the world he was dragged into. All of these deaths had the narrative purpose to allow other characters to grow and develop into heroes. And with these examples, they did die so the growth still happened, but with a undeath presence in the story. For the QSMP eggs undeath, the gamble is if the eggs die, will the audience stop watching, or worse, attack those responsible for them. I think the best solution for this is to let the eggs go. They have to become something else: Hatch, be revealed for their true purpose or even die. Many of the content creators now have expressed they have plans on arc they can take their characters if the eggs perish. The admins playing the eggs can be free to take up new roles and identities in the story and I think we all can come out better in the end. And this is the second problem with the QSMP: Community Entitlement. Throughout, the community has been amazingly supportive but also zealously protective of the server and its residents. People have their ships and there is a constant push to see these ships happen, even when content creators have expressed their actual discomfort with shipping. The most notable ones being Spreen in the discomfort instance and Rubius in forced ship interference. While Rubius seems to have been persuaded to try again, Spreen became frustrated early and left. Rubius, having a strange existence on the server, often logged in to play with his longtime friend, Vegetta, but was torn into by people that saw him as a threat to Foolish and Vegetta's "relationship" since they had an Egg together. It also didn't soothe the community that Rubius way of playing was feared to put eggs in danger. It also goes for content creator's personal lives. Missa going on trips to Japan and folks still insisting to log into the server and take care of his "son". The task system holding people hostage as summer events and cons are in full swing, and no effort was made to pause events during, so creators that were on were required to do it all (Hello, BadBoyHalo enjoyers ^-^). There is also bullying content creators for the crime of behaviors in role play that SHOULD NOT be conflated with the ACTUAL person. This isn’t exclusive to QSMP, but I have seen it time and time again on servers where it had to be addressed. Content Creators have repeatedly said that they are portraying characters and Lore™ is part of a role play, and some still don’t seem to grasp that. This has no easy solution, as it is audience perception and that requires personal responsibility and common sense. As for the pressure to stream daily, I think the QSMP needs seasons or chapters, and not be an ongoing server. It can give creators time to make plans, have lives and do other content without community backlash. The third problem I think I am seeing is "chasing the dragon". The lightning in a bottle nature of a Minecraft server with a gimmick is to keep people interested in that as a product. The QSMP’s selling point is that its multilingual, but it is increasingly becoming an English server. Out of convenience and profit as the Spanish, Portuguese and French speaking streamers are getting the subscriptions from the English speaking audience. While I really like that Baghera and Foolish learning Spanish is a good thing no matter what, even Quackity is pivoting hard to English when possible. There is also the CONSTANT hype over penny-ante BS for server events is wearing thin. “Another threat to the eggs? Are they going to all DIE this week?“ “The end is near! For real this time“ “Come to the big unnecessary party that is absolutely not a trap“ I am sure the writers for the QSMP have an epic story to tell, You kinda get glimpses of it on occasion, but we are in a state of low expectation due to what we are getting. Easy solution is to let the writers tell their story. The community theorists may have hit on some notes that were close to the mark, but that shouldn’t be a deterrent to continue. Theorist base theories off of GOOD storytelling. Looking at this like a tabletop RPG, means some unforeseen things can happen when players do something that throws a wrench in the DM’s story, like blowing up a major candidate for an election during a talk show, they work with it. I think the writers know what they want to do and how to go about it. They just need to be allowed to do it. Thank you for reading.

Lance is sitting at the kitchen table, drinking his coffee when Elena runs up to him in a panic.

Elena: lance! I need you to get your bayard and go kill a spider!

Lance blinks in confusion.

Lance: um what?

Elena looks lance dead in the eye.

Elena: I NEED YOU TO GET YOUR BAYARD AND GO KILL A SPIDER!

Lance: … uh isn’t that a bit overkill? Wouldn’t a newspaper work just as well?

Elena: no, this spider IS HUGE! You’re gonna need your bayard. Now hurry up and get it!

Lance rolls his eyes, goes and grabs his bayard and follows Elena to their bedroom.

Lance: I’m the blue paladin, defender of the universe and now a spider slayer. Boy hunks gonna have a good laugh about this one.

Elena: oh don’t worry, your are definitely a real American hero here.

Lance: seriously? You know, usually you’re pretty chill when it comes to dealing with spiders. Your always all about not killing them and letting them go outside to eat all the bugs so they don’t come in our house. Why the sudden change of heart?

Elena: THIS IS A HUGE FUCKIN SPIDER!

Lance: riiiight…

They make it to the bedroom door and Lance walks in. After which, Elena promptly shuts the door. Again rolling his eyes, Lance activates his bayard and looks for the spider.

Lance: ok so where’s this spi-HOLY SHIT! WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!

Lance looks at the opposite wall to find a spider the size of a football!

Elena: I TOLD YOU IT WAS FUCKING BIG!

Lance: I THOUGHT YOU WERE EXAGGERATING!

Blam! Blam! Blam!

Elena: did you get it?

Lance: no. The little bastard is fast. How the hell can something so big be so damn fast?!

Elena: I thought you were supposed to be the teams sharpshooter?

Lance: even us pros have our off days!

It took a while, maybe 10 minutes, but Lance finally hits the spider, killing it. He walks to the door and tries to open it but Elena isn’t letting the door open.

Lance: babe, let me out. The spider is dead.

Elena: did you double tap it?

Lance: what?

Elena: DID. YOU. DOUBLE. TAP. IT?!

Lance: how do you even know what that means?

Elena: I watched zombieland! Now go make sure that little bastard is good and dead!

Lance: it’s on its back with its legs in the air, I think it’s obvious that it’s dead.

Elena: your really sure about that?! For all you know, it could be playing possum! Now I ain’t letting you out of that room until you make sure that damn thing is actually dead!

The next sound that is heard is a Blam! Then lance pipes up.

Lance: ok, it’s dead. NOW can I come out?!

anyways my hatred of keith smith stems from the fact that he kind of represents everything that went wrong with voltron. keith smith is the keith who left the team, became a member of the blade of marmora (gag), made up with his mom who abandoned him entirely offscreen, and overall became a completely empty action hero.

ALSO, i hate most fanon interpretations of keith smith because they reinforce this idea that men become adults and suddenly grow into testosterone junkie weight lifters with wide square jaws who haven’t drank water or eaten food in two weeks and spend all day lifting weights. like, he doesn’t look like keith, he doesn’t even look like Keith Smith as he was in canon, and it’s a super toxic ideal of masculinity that this fandom upholds

The level of honey nut feelios this gave me cannot be described. Like, this was written pretty soon after the All Might vs All for One fight in the manga. And just the concern and care they showed him and he’s fought for so long and so hard for them???? 😭😭😭 It reminds me a lot of that scene with the train passengers in the second Toby Mcquire Spider-Man movie, and that is the biggest compliment I can give a superhero related thing.

I had so many feelings about it I had to draw a scene from it.

This is actually pretty new to the list, but it’s still really fucking good. I had tricked myself into shipping Starscream/Optimus and was genuinely surprised by how good a lot of the stories were!! This one perfectly balanced being so absolutely hilarious and also a grounded way for these characters to grow close. Stop Me by megadoomingir is also incredible, but is a very big investment. Worth it though!!

Carry On Wayward Son by Kenyastarflight

Another new one to my list, but still so fucking good. And then after being so freaking good it has to remind me of Last Lullaby and my own fic. The audacity (complimentary)

The Batman (2022) really fucking did me in okay! And then this fic had to come along and kick me while I was down!! I think I just really enjoy superhero stories where we see how the public reacts to these heroes. The symbiotic relationship between the person that saves and those they save. So this just really gave me intense feelings.

When I’m ready to die from these wounds by xantissa

I don’t exactly know how to explain why I love this fic, but it’s incredible. The plot is just awesome, and I love how alien Aziraphale and Crowley are here. They feel not human. I guess I like it when two characters are a bit fucked up for their love of their life. It’s just so absolutely delicious and it deserves so much praise.

Do you watch anime? I liked Tokyo Revengers and Pacific Rim: The Black.

Aw heck yeah, Pacific Rim, I've been meaning to get to the show. Since like. BEFORE it came out! Augh, and still haven’t gotten to it... anyway, that’s to say: you’ve got good taste!

I watch a little anime. Not much - I could count what shows I've seen. I've seen FMA 2003, Brotherhood, and other materials associated with the two Fullmetal Alchemist shows. FMAB is the anime I live and breathe the most. I've seen Yuri on Ice, Madoka Magica, the first Fruits Basket series, the first season of Sword Art Online, and episodes of shows like Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, Baccano, Kill La Kill, and Hero Tales. I own a physical copy of Beast King Golion, one of the three anime that was used to create Voltron: Defender of the Universe (though I've only seen DotU and not BKG). And I'm one of those people who quite enjoys Hetalia.

That’s not everything, but it’s a high percentage of it. I haven’t even seen most Ghibli movies. You can see I don’t get to much. It’s because I prefer reading manga first. And I don’t get to manga fast, either. I wait for access to physical copies. And there’s the fact I don’t consume many shows, etc. in general.

I know what I’ll get to “next.” But I’ll leave that for people to wonder ;) because I prefer consuming materials without someone watching me watch it. I don’t like the pressure of expectations and I hella don’t like recommendations. I like to be [strikes awesomely cool spy pose] undercover in what I watch, and then tell people after I’ve gotten to it! That’s to say: I have several big anime, both classic and recent, on my To Watch List, and I’ve been in the mood to get to them, so it might be coming soon! (though “soon” can mean “in the next two years”)

Several years ago I started to teach myself Japanese because I wanted a non-translated understanding of the dialogue. I've since been lazy on Japanese, but want to get back to it - I clicked with it naturally and was having a blast. Hilariously, in addition to Japanese being helpful with the slight-slight-slight otaku side of me, Japanese is useful in my passion for bluegrass. Japan was the second biggest country to be into bluegrass starting in the 1960s, which means that, to this day, using the Japanese language is the only way I can find some resources. An unexpected benefit of learning Japanese when I first wanted to cry over Royai!

Rereading Good Omens because it’s one of my favorite books. I also just finished Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi for a class and it is so fantastic that if I had more social skills I would just start recommending it to random people on the street.

What’s your favorite movie you saw in theaters this year?

I have barely been to theaters this year, but I recently saw Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and I cried eight times. Such a good movie.

My friends say that 80% of my closet is green and they’re not wrong. I wear a ridiculous amount of sweaters and jeans. I wear a lot of rings as well to play with during class :)

Other than that, I published a short story to a writing magazine that I definitely want to expand on, and I’ve got too many My Hero Academia, Arcane, Stranger Things and DSMP fic ideas saved up to count :]

Definitely my own original works, but they’re just not at that stage yet. Maybe someday!

What’s something you’re currently obsessed with?

Stranger Things is a love of mine right now, and have recently gotten back into Six of Crows, Arcane, and My Hero Academia. Voltron still has me in a chokehold so that’s been a fun development.

Most holidays. Didn’t really do anything :/

I can play most piano songs by ear, and I can do a really good impression of Tsuyu Asui 🐸

I suppose. I grew up in a Christian school and just never had the connection with God other kids did and asked too many questions 😅. Still identify as religious, but in my own way. It's a big ol’ 🤷 for me.

**disclaimer: this is my first post and I’m quite new to the app.

So, I’m a writer and I have a lot of ideas but no clue where to start. I also really like to feel useful so I thought maybe I’d ask for requests?

If anyone actually sees this, please feel free to make a request or let me know how to get this to someone who would like to make a request!

Let’s get the **DON’Ts** out of the way, first. Please don’t…

request minors x adults or anything adjacent to the concept (ie. age regression— I don’t always mind age regression I just don’t want to write it)

hate on posts/ships or bash creators/each other; I’d like there to be at least one place on the internet where I don’t have to be hyper-vigilant

request anything to do with bodily fluids originating from the gastrointestinal system. most other bodily fluids are acceptable just not urination, defecation, or regurgitation.

request psychologically manipulative or abusive relationships between characters shipped romantically. vague mention of such relationships or them being portrayed between a character and an OC are okay, but not the suggested pairing

That’s all I can think of, for now, regarding “don’t”s. Let’s move on to things I’d prefer to write/would be willing to try.

LGBTQ+ content/characters/relationships/scenarios; I find it difficult to really get into writing straight ships but there are a few occasions where I can.

NSFW content— s*x is a natural part of life and I would really like to explore writing NSFW for those who’d like to read it!

Kinks and fetishes! There are a few which make me uncomfortable like I mentioned in the DON’Ts section but I’d also add that I won’t do foot fetishes because I just can’t put myself there mentally. Most anything else I’d be game to write about.

I can’t think of anything else to say on the ‘please ask’ and ‘please don’t ask’ front. I’m generally open to a wide range of requests and don’t have many hard ‘no’s other than what has been previously stated.

So first, do you have any rules or limits on what you can or won't draw? Also are you familiar with any of the following? Yugioh, the Disney movies, the legend of korra, dangan ronpa, akudama drive, my hero academia, hunter x hunter, samurai jack, dbz, koe no katachi, one punch man, mob psycho 100, free iwatobi, voltron, pokemon, inuyasha, captain underpants. I wont choose everything here. I'll base the request on one or two of the shows that you know best.

And how many characters can you draw per request?

well, let's go in order

In general, there are many things that I'm not used to drawing (for example, I still learn how to draw different physiques, my characters are most often… stick men?), but it's hard to list them directly, because I still want to get out of my comfort zone and try to draw something new for yourself. (Although I definitely won’t get to furry soon, I don’t know how and… and probably I don’t want to draw animals)

ahem, speaking of fandoms. Disney movies are too broad a concept and should probably be clarified late, but I am familiar with a lot of this. And if we talk about which of the above is closer to me... I can say for sure that I know more about Mob Psycho 100, danganronpa and hunter x hunter than about other fandoms you named (although everything is also in order with mha, at least until... season 4? after i cooled down to this anime, but i still remember the characters :> )

And in general, I probably can draw a 3-4 characters at a time. But it all depends on how detailed they are.

i am now morally obligated

my dumby pokemon mystery dungeon ocs based on every starter i chose! (and i guess including partners lol)

wanna also quickly say these are all the names i gave each one first time i played

kai the typhlosion:

-he/him pronouns, leader of the team (don’t wanna say it was a very stupid name i was pretty young so uh gonna have to make up a new one eventually)

-looks a lot like a normal typhlosion but has a star-like mark on his right thigh (may or may not be inspired by that one promo manga) + wears the scarf bandana thingy like an actual scarf. tying bows are for nerds.

-tries to be all big and tough but is insecure af. after the whole “you caused the end of the world!” incident he’s very wary around strangers but he’s trying to get better. wants to build the biggest rescue team possible. likes to skip rocks in wiscash’s pond

-partners with shiro

shiro the totodile:

ok so dumb story i used to be a fan of voltron legendary defender and don’t know what to name the partner pokemon so i went with the first name that came to mind and it was shiro. i regret it every day.

-he/him

-icy blue colored. it was a rare mutation or something. doesn’t want to evolve bc he thinks he looks cooler that way. wears his scarf thing fairly normally but chews on it a lot so it’s falling apart.

-of course has that undying partner loyalty. often times trusted with leading longer dungeon exploration. short but doesn’t want to admit it. ankle biter. might be slightly unhinged. rides on kai’s back when tired (his legs can only take him so far).

taren the luxray:

-he/they, leader of team hunters (another stupid team name i made when i first played since again pretty young, but i like to think that was their name due to mainly focusing on taking down outlaws)

-incredibly spiky even by luxray standards. kept that weird tuft of hair shinx/luxio have but it’s also pretty spiky. wears the scarf thing around his left front leg. he’s actually right handed.

-just fucking done. really tired all the time. sorta has this stereotypical war veteran vibe. seriously the protag in explorers has seen some shit and taren is no different. pretty cold but loves his partner to death.

-partners with edward

edward the leafeon:

-any pronouns but mainly uses they/them and she/her (but for simplicity’s sake i’m using they/them here)

-overgrown poofy bangs that cover their eyes. wears the scarf around the base of their tail.

-got obsessed with recording how the landscape around treasure town changes over time after the events of the main story. loves collecting rocks. tries to bring some down to earth positivity that taren doesn’t have. they both bicker often like they’re an old married couple.

axel the fraxure:

-he/him, leader of the armory. axel is not his real name. after learning he turned into an axew he made that up. his real name was avery.

-standardish appearance. i’m pretty sure pokemon can’t be shiny in pmd (not counting celebi from explorers) but he is!! right tusk is damaged. originally the tip just snapped off when falling right out of the goddamn sky but being curb stomped to near death by kyurem made him lose half of it. scarf is wrapped around the now broken tusk.

-was one of those people who thought the world sucked. had been a drifter in the human world, having cut off ties with his family. his partner hideki was the first friend he ever had. likes to battle and tries to live up to being the hero he’s made out to be, but has had one too many existential nightmares as of late especially after first returning to his old life.

-partners with hideki as previously mentioned. they’re technically married now but since pokemon don’t seem to hold weddings they don’t openly say they are.

hideki the samurott:

-they/them

-has that deeper blue body hisuian samurott has with a light grey underbelly. lacks the mustache-like whiskers and pretty much only has standard otter whiskers. wears the scarf around their neck.

-positive thinker. works a lot on the berry fields in paradise. wholesome and hates swearing. constantly asks axel about what humans are like. likes to cuddle! oh and the shell blades are just for show they have no idea how to use them.

others that i just haven’t gotten around to:

-i wanna play the rescue team remake soon but when i played the demo back when it came out i chose cubone and charmander. already have their names (maple and cherry!) and most i got with them is cherry’s butch and they’re both lesbians your honor.

-never got super far into super mystery dungeon. wasn’t my thing. i wanna give it another shot one day but i remember liking using treecko. mine’s partner was fennekin but idk if i’ll change that or not.
