Her name is Katie and she is a necromancer in the Guard Dogs series by Freya Faust.

She's multiracial black, with longish black curly hair and brown eyes. Was a wrestling champ through school but at a nebulous mid-late 20s has gotten a softer body (and humps). She wears big fluffy light colored sweaters at work and graphic tees at home, and she loves dogs! Her mug is paw print, her desk calendar is dog themed, and she has four (extremely illegal) undead zombie dogs in her home named after star trek characters. She put them together out of roadkill, and she loves them very much.

And she is going to be the first mage in history to crack the problem of true human resurrection. (Or more likely, get busted for necromancy and disappeared by the magic cops)

You weren't kidding about there being absolutely no art of her. Oh well no one to tell me I got her wrong

I am watching clips of the Expanse for the first time on youtube (I can’t remember how I got here, but I’m falling down a rabbit hole), and … I have thoughts. A lot of thoughts. Chrisjen Avasarala is amazing. Camina Drummer is amazing. I have feelings about Amos Burton. Whoever this Marco Inaros is, I badly need him to shut up. The Nauvoo/Behemoth is an amazing ship and an amazing story and I love her. I have many, many thoughts. But. One of the main things I’m getting? And I don’t know if it’s just because of which clips got recommended to me? But.

That feeling when someone opens a door and there’s a pissed off Martian amazon in full power armour standing impassively on the far side? Incredible. Bobbie Draper is something else to watch in action.

I realise this is an incredible hard-SF show with a lot of genuinely important things to say, but, um. It also appears to be a great show for tough ladies in tank tops and machinery? I’m just saying.

Also, because of how I’m watching this, I’m not sure of the actual sequence of events in order here, but did Camina Drummer crush her own spine to free someone she disliked/distrusted so that her people would still have one working captain in a crisis, and then build herself some prosthetic legs, HERSELF, by hand, while half paralysed on her medical bed, in order to get back to work and get shit done regardless? Is that what happened there? Because if so … I have a type, I get that, but holy shit. That sheer level of cast-iron grit and bloody-minded determination and grim acceptance of pain and bedrock loyalty to her people and raw damned be fucking he is … Um. It’s a lot. Thanks. Hi.

The impression I’m getting of this show is that, if you want morally ambiguous, cast-iron bitches that you would nonetheless die for two hours after meeting them because they have a cause and a creed and a raw ability to get shit done, this is the show for you? But that could be because the clips I’ve been getting have strongly featured Drummer and Avasarala, with occasional interludes of Bobbie and Holden and Naomi and everyone else. Heh.

Also, there really is no conversation opener (or finisher) like a Martian Marine in power armour knocking gently on your door.

Anon, I didn't get to watch the first episode of Pit Babe, but . . .

I don't know what The Omegaverse is.

Like, I know what it is, but I don't know what it is, ya know?

And it's because I don't want to.

I'm actually really good at that. I went to see Rogue One in theaters even though I haven't seen any other Star Wars film because of Diego Luna. Period. I had absolutely no idea what the movie would be about beside it would have Diego Luna in it, so I was the only person at that midnight showing VERY upset that the Death Star KILLED EVERYONE! My color-coded ass thought the black and white solider people were good versus bad. All of them are bad apparently. It was not a good night for me in that Cineplex.

This is also why I have no real idea what any Mame series is about including TharnType or any Chinese bromance like The Untamed or Word of Honor. Just like that tiger tattoo in Unforgotten Night, which I also did not watch, I know of them, but I don't know them. That's for the best. I can't be a dick about things if I don't really know anything about them.

I know there is a Slut for Christ in the show because @sparklyeyedhimbo and @kayatoasted told me, but I will not be Diego Luna-ed into watching Pit Babe for one slut when that slut comes with a universe of knowledge I am unwilling to learn.

Note: This is not a request for information. I don't wanna know.

I watched Teen Wolf and that horrible Teen Wolf movie, so I'm sure the Alpha/Beta/Omega + smell kink is transferable to The Omegaverse, and that's all I need to know to know I don't want to know more.

Because based on what I do know, it's a "no" for me.
